Nursing Assignment Help Writing Service: A Lifeline for Nursing Students
Nursing students face rigorous academic challenges, from attending clinicals to managing complex assignments. In this intense environment, many students struggle to keep up with their academic requirements, and that’s where nursing assignment help writing services come into play. These services offer a valuable lifeline, helping students manage their coursework, meet deadlines, and ultimately, succeed in their nursing programs.
Introduction
The nursing profession is one of the most respected yet demanding fields. Students pursuing nursing degrees are required to master a wide range of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, from anatomy to patient care techniques. This journey is tough enough on its own, but when you add in the numerous assignments, essays, case studies, and research projects that students must complete, it becomes even more overwhelming.
Nursing assignments play a crucial role in a student’s academic journey. They test not only their knowledge but also their ability to think critically, apply concepts to real-world scenarios, and communicate effectively. However, juggling clinical practice, exams, and assignments can lead to immense stress. Fortunately, nursing assignment help writing services can ease this burden.
Why Nursing Assignments Are Challenging
Complexity of Nursing Concepts
Nursing is a multifaceted field that combines science, technology, and human compassion. Students are required to understand difficult concepts such as pharmacology, physiology, and healthcare ethics. Many nursing assignments require in-depth research and a solid grasp of these challenging topics, which can be overwhelming, especially for new students.
Time Management Issues
Time management is a critical skill in nursing education. Between attending lectures, participating in clinical placements, and studying for exams, students often find it hard to dedicate enough time to complete their assignments. Writing high-quality nursing papers can take hours of research and drafting, time that students may not always have.
Balancing Clinical and Academic Responsibilities
Nursing students have to split their time between hands-on clinical training and academic learning. This balancing act can be exhausting. Clinical duties often demand long hours and physical stamina, leaving little energy to focus on assignments. This is where the need for professional assignment help becomes evident.
The Growing Demand for Nursing Assignment Help
Pressure of Academic Excellence
Nursing programs are competitive, and students are constantly pressured to achieve top grades to secure their future in the field. This pressure can lead to burnout and stress. As a result, many students turn to nursing assignment writing services for the extra support they need to maintain high academic standards.
Increasing Workload and Stress
The workload in nursing schools is notoriously heavy. Between multiple assignments, clinical duties, and personal commitments, students often feel overwhelmed. The ability to outsource their assignments can significantly reduce stress levels and give them the breathing room they need.
Language Barriers for International Students
International nursing students often face language challenges, which can hinder their ability to produce well-written academic papers. For these students, professional assignment services provide not only writing assistance but also language support, ensuring that their ideas are communicated clearly and professionally.

The alarm went off way too early for your liking and you instantly hit the snooze button on your phone. You roll over with a grumble and fall back asleep instantly. Ten minutes later your alarm goes off again and you curse at the loud alarm. You grabbed your phone, turned off the alarm, and placed your phone on the bed. Your eyes finally open and you’re hissing at the sunlight that is streaming through the curtains.
You let out a groan knowing your long day has just begun. You stay in bed for another ten minutes before you climb out and shuffle to the bathroom to get ready for your day.
After showering and getting changed into comfy clothes you grab your laptop. Logging onto the college’s website you start working on your homework for the classes you have today. You would have done it sooner but you worked a late shift again last night.
You wish you could complain but you really needed the money to keep a roof over your head. The apartment was quaint; one bedroom and one bathroom. It had a small kitchen that was open to the living room. It may not be much but it was yours to rent.
A part of you wished you could win the lottery to help get you caught up on bills. That way your money wasn’t going mostly towards rent. You sigh, thinking how long it’s been since you had a vacation. What you needed was a miracle but those don’t happen for you.
An hour passed and you had completed your school work. The next two hours pass and you get two online classes done. By the time you knew it it was noon and you had two hours to get to work.
You changed from your comfy clothes to work ones. You grabbed something to eat for lunch so you had food in your stomach. Placing the plate in the sink you go put your shoes on. Grabbing your purse, phone, and keys you head out the door, locking it behind you, and head to work.
At the sidewalk sits your 2010 Toyota Corolla. It’s not much to look at but it gets you from point a to b. Unfortunately, the check engine light is on and you have no idea how much longer your car will last. Maybe one day you will get a better car.
It’s a fifteen-minute drive to work and you huff getting out of the car. Your boss likes you at work an hour before your shift so he can go over the special guests who will be attending tonight. It’s an upscale restaurant that you work for but one you would never visit due to funds.
The group of staff members stand in the back as your manager speaks.
“Tonight is Friday night and we have a list of “A” list customers coming in. I need you all on your “A” game tonight. Remember our goal is to keep the customers happy.”
You fought the urge to roll your eyes with his last sentence. Your boss believed the customer came first and foremost. Which you believed in, because, depending on who they are some of these customers tip well.
He spoke a little more about business and an hour later he ended the meeting. You thank the heavens above that he was finished. Taking a breath you get ready for your shift.
At first, it was the usual slow afternoon crowd. You enjoyed the slow time but were anxious for the real crowd to roll in. The crowd filters in around five in the afternoon and you were busy working tables. Taking orders and bringing food out was stressful at times but you smiled through it all. Thankfully nothing was dropped.
At seven in the evening, you were informed that James “Bucky” Barnes had requested to sit in your section with his friends. You couldn’t help the smile that graced your face. The man was the CEO of a company in the heart of New York. He was well-mannered, benevolent, charming, and easy on the eyes. To say he was your favorite was an understatement.
Taking a deep breath in and out you head to a table in the back of the restaurant. Bucky likes his privacy, so this is where he would sit when he came here every week.
Approaching the table you see Bucky and two other men. When Bucky’s eyes look up from the menu he offers his million-dollar smile. His blue eyes gaze into yours for a minute before he greets you.
Smiling at him first then the other two, you ask for their drinks for the night. They give you their alcoholic drink of choice and you are off to grab their drinks. After a few minutes you return to the table and give each man their drink.
Bucky introduces you to his friends Steve and Sam. You shake their hands and smile at each one.
Sam blurts out, “You were right Buck. She is beautiful.”
You look from Sam to Bucky and see Bucky blush. Was he talking about you to his friends? Why would he, you’re just a waitress. You were nothing special.
Bucky looks at Sam with a dirty look. “Shut up.”
Bucky glances back at you and apologizes for his friend's behavior. Changing the subject, he quickly orders his food followed by the two men. You smile at Bucky before you head to the back to put their order in. As you leave you hear the men mumbling to one another. Hopefully, whatever’s going on doesn’t involve you. The last thing you want to be is a butt of a joke to the one customer you enjoy.
You continued to serve other customers in between grabbing Bucky’s table more drinks and eventually their food. The night seemed to be going well until your ex-fiance showed up with a couple of his friends. The greeter was leading them into your section as you cussed under your breath. The night just took a step in the wrong direction. You huffed a little before plastering a smile on your face and heading to your ex’s table.
“Good Evening gentleman my name is…”
John Walker interrupts you before you can say another word. “Yeah, darling, we know who you are. Why don’t you grab us some beers and be quick about it.”
“Sure thing,” you bite out.
You headed to the bar and grabbed the beer they liked. Taking your time you bring the beer to the table and place them on the table.
“Oh darling, why do you look so glum? Wait, don't answer that 'cause I don’t care.” John sneers. Making his friends laugh before you take his order.
As you turn to leave John grabs your arm. “Oh, don’t forget to keep the beers coming. Gotta work for that tip.”
At that moment Bucky turned his head to the right and saw John’s hand around your arm. Before he could get up to say anything, the man let you go and you quickly headed to the back/kitchen. You put in his order and then stepped into the hallway that led to the bathrooms to take a few breaths. You knew John was going to make your life hell and there was no doubt he would tip garbage. While you were trying to calm down Bucky stepped into the hallway with a sad smile.
“Hey, sweetheart, are you okay? It’s just I saw that man put his hand on you before you walked out of the dining area.”
Embarrassed, you covered your face briefly with your hands. “I can’t believe you saw that.”
Bucky gave you a small smile. “Hey, it’s okay. Do you know him or is he just a handsy customer that needs to be spoken to?”
You looked at Bucky and gave him an awkward smile. “He’s my ex-fiance, John Walker. He left me 6 months ago and ghosted me. He didn’t even give me a reason why he left. Gosh, I shouldn’t be sharing this with you, you're a regular customer here James.”
“Please call me Bucky. No need to be formal, sweetheart.”
“Bucky. Well, I should get back in there to do my job. Don’t need the manager mad at me for being back here.” You start to walk away and you look over your shoulder to see Bucky staring at you while smiling.
You get back in the dining room area and see John flag you down. Again, you huff but head over to the table.
“Where the hell were you? I told you to keep the beer flowing. Now be an obedient waitress and go get us more!”
Everyone in the restaurant turned around to look at you and John. People were whispering amongst themselves as you headed to the bar to grab more drinks for the table. Tears started to form in your eyes at the embarrassment that John was causing. He was trying to cause a scene and so far he’s been successful at it. You took a deep breath and headed back to the table where you switched the empty cups for the new ones. Walking away before he could say a word you turned your attention to Bucky’s table. You see they are almost done eating and ask, “Do you gentlemen need any boxes to go?”
Bucky puts his fork down. “I’m good. Steve and Sam, do you need one?” Both men shake their heads saying ‘no thanks.’ Bucky flashes his smile at you. “How about another round for us when you get the chance? No rush, sweetheart.”
You smile back at Bucky and head to the bar area.
After you leave the dining area Bucky hears who he now knows is John talking about you. He doesn’t like the sound of the conversation or how vulgar it’s about you. His hand is making a fist on the table and both his friends can see the vein in his neck twitch from the anger that is building. Bucky doesn’t want to cause a scene but this man and his friends are being obnoxious at this point. The other diners listen in as John talks loudly about you. Bucky looks Steve and Sam in the eyes before he stands up to go to John’s table.
Bucky walks over to the men at the table and smirks. “Good evening, gentlemen. I just wanted to come over here and say the whole restaurant can hear your disgusting conversation about the nice waitress who is serving you. How about you drink your beer in peace and leave her alone.”
John stands up and is nose-to-nose with Bucky. “How about you mind your fucking business and go back to your table?”
“Or what…?” Bucky cocks his head to the side and stares him down.
John turns a shade of red and starts to poke Bucky in the chest. “Or else I take your sorry ass outside and shut you up.”
Bucky laughs out loud. “I honestly would love to see that.”
You come back from the bar with drinks in hand and see the men causing a scene. You spot Bucky and the other men, who are now all standing, and place their drinks on an empty table. You walk quickly over to the men and try to separate them.
“John, Bucky, this is a restaurant. Whatever has been said just let it go or I’m going to ask that you leave.” Bucky takes a few steps back and keeps staring the man down.
John’s blue eyes are cold as he looks at you. “Why don’t you shut up and leave the men to the conversation?”
“John, I'm asking nicely for you to stop or else I will have you removed from this establishment. No excuses, sit down or leave.”
John swiftly grabbed his beer and started to chuckle. “Women. They just don’t know how to listen.” Walker turns to you and spills his glass of beer over your head causing you to shriek.
That was all Bucky needed to see before he punched John in the face, causing him to fall backward. The two other men jumped out of their seats and before they could swing at Bucky, Steve and Sam punched each man. Patrons were screaming over the fight and other waiters and waitresses were trying to calm them down. Within seconds the manager rushed into the room and started shouting at all six men who were going at it. The manager made his way into the middle of the pack and he was yelling he was going to call the cops. That made the men separate real quick.
“Pay your bills and leave this establishment!” The manager yelled at them. Your manager looked at you covered in beer and made a disgusted face. “And you are fired. I want you out of here now.”
“Wait, please I didn’t do anything.” You started to panic but your boss pointed toward the exit.
“They were your customers and clearly you know them. Guilty by association in my book.”
Your tears finally fell down your face as you were screwed with no job and the rent was due next week. “Please, sir, I’m begging you…”
John starts to mimic you as he tosses down bills on the table. “Please, sir, what? He doesn’t want you around anymore like I don’t. You’re a pathetic piece of trash who whines too much.”
Bucky was about to punch John again when Steve and Sam started to walk him back to their table to pay. As each table was paying their tabs you walked into the back to get your purse and leave. You walked through the hallway and glanced over to the men who were now leaving.
Great.
You hurried along and headed to your car. John left with his friends and they laughed about what happened.
“Hey, sweetheart, wait up!” Bucky called after you.
There would be no seeing him ever again after what just happened. You wiped at your tears as Bucky reached you. You looked up at him with teary eyes. “Sorry Bucky I really should be going.”
“I know but first I wanted to give you your tip in person.” He hands you two hundred dollars. “I know it’s not much but I want you to take my business card with you. I have a possible opening if you’re interested in it. We can talk tomorrow over lunch if you want. See if it’s right for you or not.”
You held his money and business card in your hand. With bills due in a week what would the harm be? You knew he was a kind-hearted and generous man. “Yeah, that sounds fine. Which number do I call on here?”
“Oh right.” Bucky chuckles. He takes the card from you and writes his cell number on the back of the card. “Here, now you can text me when you are ready tomorrow.” He hands you back the card.
“Thank you, Bucky for the money and card. I’ll see you tomorrow.” You turn back around and walk to your car. Getting in you turn it on and slowly drive away. In your rearview mirror, Bucky is standing there watching you drive out of sight.
He is hopeful that you will be interested in taking the job. He’s watched you for months and knows the kind, caring woman you are. Bucky walks to his expensive car, gets in, and drives home.
Fifteen minutes later when you arrive at your apartment you strip out of your clothes so you can shower. Under the warm water, you think back to how John was acting. This was his normal behavior so you were glad he left you when he did. The guy was a total jerk. As you continue to wash your mind shifts to Bucky. The man was charming and the best part was he stood up for you. No one has ever done that before. You wonder what kind of job offer he has for you as you step out of the shower and wrap yourself in a towel.
You dry yourself off and hang your towels up. You change into a pair of sleep shorts and a T-shirt before you collapse on your back on the bed. What kind of job would a CEO have open for you? You were now unemployed and a full-time college student. Would the job be able to be flexible so you could continue your studies? First things first, you need to talk with him about it before worrying.
Tumblr media
The next morning after your shower and morning routine you texted Bucky.
You: Hey Bucky, I was wondering when was a good time to meet with you today?
Bucky: Hi sweetheart I’m so happy you texted me. My noon is wide open so let's meet for lunch. I’ll have a driver come by your place and pick you up. Just text me your address and everything will be covered.
Thinking about being picked up made you a little nervous. What if the job interview didn’t go well? He would then know where you lived. On the other hand, you were still tired from not being able to sleep that much last night due to being fired. Of course, this could also be a test to see if you trusted him. You texted him your address and hoped to god he wasn’t some psycho.
Bucky: Thank you, sweetheart. I’ll see you soon.
Well, now that you got that over with, you take your time getting ready. Since this felt like an interview you dressed yourself in a black pencil skirt that was just above the knee with a small slit in the side. Next, you pulled on a cute light blue blouse and you finished off the look with a pair of black heels. It wasn’t an expensive outfit but it will hopefully do for this meet-up. Your hair and makeup were perfect; striking the balance between natural and formal for your interview with CEO Bucky Barnes. You gave yourself a glance in the mirror one more time before you grabbed your purse, phone, and keys and headed for the front door.
You headed down the stairs and opened the front door. Sure enough, there was a black SUV parked at the curb waiting for you. A man got out of the driver's seat and walked around the vehicle to where you stood. He nodded to you and opened the back door. Taking a breath, you climbed into the back and waited as the driver climbed back inside. He pulled away from the curb and off you went to wherever Bucky had planned your lunch. It was a fifteen-minute drive from your place when the driver pulled in front of a fancy restaurant. There was no way you could afford to eat here but as you were pondering your choices, the man opened the door and helped you out.
Great, now you had to head inside to this beautiful restaurant in your clothes that would not fit into this type of place. Clutching your purse you walk inside to the restaurant. Light classical music echoed around you as you made your way up to the hostess with a nervous smile on your face. She looked you up and down, sneering at you.
“Can I help you?” She asked with faux-politeness, staring you down with cold eyes.
Feeling embarrassed to be there you took a step back. “Sorry, I must be at the wrong place.” You turn around to walk away and bump into Bucky.
He looks down at you and smiles. “There you are, sweetheart. I was wondering if you made it. I’m so glad you are here.” Bucky lightly wraps his arm around your back and makes his way to the hostess.
This time she is all smiles when Bucky stands before her. “Mr. Barnes, what an honor to see you today. Would you like your regular booth?” The woman looks at you, seeing his arm around your back and you can tell she is biting her tongue.
“Yes please, a table for two today,” Bucky states as the hostess leads the both of you to a booth in the far back.
Bucky waits for you to take a seat and he soon follows. You are both handed a menu and you start to glance through it. Seeing the exorbitant prices on the menu made your stomach instantly twist and turn. Biting your bottom lip Bucky can see the wheels turning in your pretty head.
“Don’t worry about the prices. Today is my treat as I asked you to meet me here.” He gives you a warm smile and makes you feel more at ease.
“Are you sure? I mean I don’t want you to feel like you have to pay or anything.”
“Sweetheart, I promise you have nothing to worry about today. Let’s just eat and talk.”
You nod your head. “Okay.”
Bucky’s blue eyes wander on your outfit for a moment and he smiles. “You look beautiful.”
“I don’t know about that. The hostess didn’t seem to like my outfit.” Your hands fidget as you look down at yourself.
Bucky reaches across the table and puts his hand on yours. “Well, she’s wrong. I’m telling you that you’re beautiful and as long as you feel it too that should be enough.”
You give him a shy smile. “Thanks, Bucky.”
The waiter comes over to take your order and to pour some wine that Bucky requested. Taking a sip of it made your taste buds explode in your mouth as you have never had wine like that before. The taste had you moan lightly and quickly you realized how silly you were acting. But Bucky was just staring at you with a smirk on his face.
Your lunch arrived a few moments later and you both made small talk as you ate. He talked about his day at work and how he had a few charity events coming up. You talked about schoolwork and working towards your dream career.
After you both were done eating Bucky smiled before he cleared his throat. “You’re probably wondering why I asked you here and not at my place of work to talk about a job I’m offering.”
“Yes, I’m very curious. What is it, a secretary job? I’m not sure how many words I can type per minute but I’m good at typing up reports for college.”
“No, it’s not like that, please let me explain. In my job I don’t have time to go out and meet women. I’m a very busy man with my job. Right now, I’m looking for some companionship to keep me company at work events, charities, and sometimes my travels.” Bucky was the epitome of confidence and giving you a reassuring smile as he spoke. “Someone who will be my shining light during these exhausting times. Someone kind, smart, funny and beautiful. In return, I would take care of that person financially. They would want for nothing.”
“So why not get an escort? I mean that’s what they’re there for. Why even have this conversation with me? I’m an unemployed college student. Why even come to me with this?” You didn’t know how to feel about this conversation you were having with Bucky.
Bucky leaned forward and smiled. “First I don’t want an escort. Second, you meet all the qualities I’m looking for in a companionship or, in layman's terms, a sugar daddy relationship.” Bucky paused for any reaction before continuing. “We already know each other, which is a plus. I enjoy being around you. So why not?”
You stared at him, speechless. Not knowing what to make of this sugar-daddy relationship. What the hell is that? Is this the kind of job you want? What would people think?
“When you say you would take care of someone financially what does that mean?” Curiosity was getting the better of you.
“I would take care of your rent and all your monthly bills. That includes your tuition as well. I would give you a monthly allowance so should you need anything you have money to do it. I would also bring you clothes shopping to update your wardrobe. You will need dresses to attend events with me. You will want for nothing and all I’m asking in return is your companionship.”
You pondered what he just said. “All of that just for a sugar daddy relationship? What about sex?”
“Do you want sex to be involved?” Bucky asked, his eyes never strayed from yours.
“No, I mean is it required?” Now you thought you sounded like a fool but you needed to know if you were going to be a whore to him or not.
“I’m not seeking that but if down the road you want to we can talk about it then. I’m just looking for friendship and a companion. Nothing more.”
You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. “When do you need to know? Like, can I think about this?”
Your nerves were getting the better of you. Because of John, your trust issues had blown through the roof. This sounded too good to be true.
Bucky smirks at you. “Take all the time you need. But in the meantime let me help you with your rent and bills that are due next week. No strings attached I promise.”
You were going to be short on money next week so you nodded your head in agreement. “Okay, thank you Bucky. Give me a couple of days and I will reach out to you through text.”
The waiter came over with the bill and sure enough, Bucky paid for the entire meal. You just watched him as he stood and held a hand out for you. After getting out of the booth Bucky once again walked with his hand on your back until you reached outside. The same SUV from earlier pulled into the curb in front of you. Bucky opened the door for you and kissed your cheek gently.
“Whatever you decide I will be fine with. Now, go focus on your school work and I’ll head back to the office.”
“Okay, Bucky. Thank you for lunch. I had a great time.”
“You’re welcome, sweetheart.”
You climbed back into the SUV and gave Bucky a small wave as it peeled away from the curb, leaving him smiling after you. Again, you drove in silence and after the short drive, you finally reached your apartment. Once inside you changed into leggings and a T-shirt and flopped onto your bed.
You knew for sure you liked Bucky and thought he was handsome. You also knew what kind of man he was; kind, caring, protective, and smart just to name a few. This was going to be a big decision to make and you’re gonna need all the time to make it.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Simon Riley x sister!reader (she/her)
Summary: Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, the infamous, relentless and fearless Task Force 141 soldier. And the particulars of him being the guardian of his baby sister.
Warnings: Talks of war and deployment, mentions of a traumatic childhood, language. Attempted to do it chronologically, but have added bits here and there
Word count: 3300+
A/N: Basing this off the theory that he is mid 30’s in mw2.
Likes and reblogs are much appreciated! Copying and reposts are not! My fics are only posted on tumblr, under this sideblog @hotmencoreplus for the account, @hotmencore
‣ Simon wasn’t at all prepared to be an older brother, but when he saw you, he knew it was his job to protect his little baby sister.
‣ You were the only one who was fortunate enough to not be killed by Washington, so when Simon was made aware of your survival, he took you in as his own.
‣ He doubted himself at first, fearing he would turn out like his dad, but also didn’t want to abandon you like he had been as a child.
‣ He wasn’t experienced in any way shape or form with taking care of a baby, so most of his days when not on deployment consisted of him watching youtube videos and going online to figure out how to do stuff and take care of you properly.
‣ When on deployment, he left you with a trusted neighbour who he had known for years before. (I feel like this would either be like a man who he would call his ‘best friend’ when home, or an old woman who has kids of her own, that use to babysit him)
‣ He would spoil you the best he could, and make you as happy as possible, not wanting you to have a childhood anything remotely like his.
‣ He definitely still gets help off of google for some things. He isn’t really too good with knowledge on ‘girly’ things.
‣ When home, you and him would always sit at the kitchen table of an evening, you playing with barbies whilst he sat across from you modding his rifle. As you got older, it would be the same just you with homework. You didn’t speak much when sat with each other, though it was always a comfortable silence for the both of you.
‣ Once when in primary school, you came home with a pout as you were jealous of your classmates pigtails and plaits, seeing that Simon only really knew how to brush your hair. So that night, he spent an hour watching videos over and over so that he could learn how to plait your hair.
‣ He felt stupid watching the videos, and frustrated that it took him so long to get the hang of it, but he knew it was all worth it when he saw the grin on your face the next morning as you looked at your hair in the mirror to see it all pretty and plaited.
‣ He also felt the same each birthday or christmas when you were little, worried that the little amount that he was able to get you wouldn’t be enough to make you happy. But 100% of the time, it was just him underestimating himself.
‣ When you were young, he never bothered to mention his own birthday. But one year when with your neighbour, you found out his birthday was a couple days after he came back from deployment. So you saved up money for the 2 weeks before he came back, and bought him a little teddy bear and a bar of chocolate. You also made him a little loom band bracelet, and haphazardly wrapped them up and hid them under your bed.
‣ When his birthday did arrive, you came downstairs to him in the living room, holding the parcel out in front of him. He lifted you up onto his lap, taking the parcel from you. “What’s this?” He asked, looking at it as he peeled his fingers from the cellotape of which you’d badly wrapped it with.
‣ “Happy birthday” you say softly with a smile, and that right there made Simon’s heart melt. He unwrapped the gift, and held the bear out in front of him. You looked at him eagerly, though his expression was confusing to you. “I hope you like it” you say with a slight hint of doubt. But Simon smiles at you, yes, smiles, and pulls you closer to him, placing a small kiss on your cheek, “I love it, thank you Y/N” he says, and the grin returns to your face.
‣ Simon had never felt more appreciated by anyone in his life.
‣ He let you off that one morning to share the chocolate with him, after eagerly placing the loom band on his large wrist, showing him that you now had matching ones.
‣ And he wears it everyday, even on deployment, under his uniform.
‣ And he still does to this day, years later.
‣ He also has a tattoo tucked away somewhere that he got for you, most likely your initials.
‣ When he first joined 141, Price was the only one who knew about you, and that Simon was the one who took care of you.
‣ He knew from Ghost’s files, as when he joined the task force, you were at the age where Simon wanted you written down as who was told when he died.
‣ You were at the age where it was harder to just pretend he never existed. Because when you were a baby, that was his plan. Before he joined it was your neighbour that was put down, just as a telling that you would need to be put in someone else's care.
‣ When Ghost requested the change to his file, he asked Price that someone could go over and tell you in person, rather than just a phone call, or his dog tags through the mail. Which caused for him to have to let Price know of your existence.
‣ He also asked for Price to tell Laswell, as he trusted her and wanted someone there for you who was in the UK more than he was, and in case both him and Price were on a mission/ far away.
‣ He also did it as he believed that you needed at least one female figure somewhat a part of your life, though you've only met her like once or twice.
‣ It takes a good amount of time and full trust in a person for Simon to be comfortable with them meeting you, or even just knowing of you. Which is why Johnny found out so randomly.
‣ You were late pre-teens when Simon was coming home from deployment, and got a call from his friend, apologising that he couldn’t pick him up from base. Johnny overheard the conversation and insisted that he dropped Simon off, though he was perfectly fine getting a taxi.
‣ Simon did message you to stay in the house, but you weren’t paying any mind to your phone, just looking out the window waiting for his arrival. Your own excitement blinded you to the fact it wasn’t the car of Simon’s friend dropping him off, so when you saw his skull mask through the car window, you jumped off the couch and ran out the door to him without a second thought. You didn’t hesitate in giving him a massive hug, which, though Johnny hadn’t pulled off yet, Simon reciprocated, as he knew there was no way of exactly hiding you now.
‣ It wasn’t at all that he didn’t trust Johnny enough, Simon just always felt awkward bringing it up and didn’t expect the circumstances of which he was in, so wasn’t prepared at all.
‣ Soap didn’t like to pry, but was curious and immensely shocked to see a young girl run out of his house and jump onto Simon’s huge frame. He knew it couldn’t have been his daughter as Simon would have simply been far too young for that to be true. So he made the conclusion of you being his sister, and tried to keep it to himself.
‣ Though on the next deployment, Johnny did ask about the young girl he saw, and with a grumble of a reply, he then understood that his guesses were correct. By then he trusted Gaz enough as well, so the whole of 141 eventually knew of Simon’s little sister.
‣ Simon keeps a little photograph of you in his uniform, in an inside breast pocket, above his heart. It’s a photo of you when you were little, the first year he put aside his fears, and took you trick-or-treating. You were dressed as a little fairy, grinning up at the camera, your face covering most of the shot as you leant forwards into the frame.
‣ You two don’t have any proper photos with each other, apart from one from when it was your birthday one year, and you told Simon that the only thing you wanted was a photo of the two of you together. So Simon begrudgingly granted your wish after a lot of convincing.
‣ In the photo, you are stood next to each other in the hallway of your home, you grinning with your short arms attempting to wrap around his large waist, and him stood looking emotionless with his simple skull mask on, his arm behind you resting on your back.
‣ It wouldn’t look sentimental at all to anyone else, but you treasured it. It stays on your bedside cabinet, with one of his old dog tags that he let you keep. You also have another old one of his attached to the zip of your school backpack.
‣ Simon never really decorated your room too much when you were younger, as he was new to the whole thing and decided that he would let you do it with him when you were older and found your own passions and interests. So first off for several years your room consisted of a small single bed, a wardrobe, and littles shelves for your toys, all of which he built with you sat on the floor of your room with him one day.
‣ But when you did find yourself and what you liked, you both spent a couple days decorating it. As it was just you and Simon in the house, you weren’t ever very ‘girly’ so the walls were painted a pale blue, and he bought you some new shelves and some fairy lights/ LED’s to hang up around your bed.
‣ When you use to get nightmares or just couldn’t fall asleep, you would sneak into Simon’s room, and wake him up so that you could stay with him. Although due to his own nightmares, was usually awake before you came in anyways. But there was something he secretly found so sweet about hearing your little feet try to quietly pad down the hallway to his room.
‣ He never minded, because he had nightmares all the time. Simon would never admit it, not even to his baby sister, but he enjoyed the nights where he would have her with him. Because in the long run it did actually help him fall asleep, knowing he wasn’t completely on his own.
‣ He had you.
‣ Due to him being away quite a lot, you have been aware of his job since you were little.
‣ Though when you got older, you wanted to know more about it. Simon didn’t really want to tell you much, as he didn't believe it was something he wanted his sister knowing about, but after so much pestering from you, he caved in. You learnt about his callsign, and how he always wore the skull mask.
‣ Once meeting Soap properly, he was the one to tell you about how infamous your brother really was on the field.
‣ You found it pretty cool that you were one of the only people in the entire world who new what the Simon Riley truly looked like, and secretly took pride in it.
‣ You have always known Simon with and without his mask, so it never feels weird. He rarely wore it when you were a toddler, though when you were first born he mostly kept it on, scared his scars were gonna frighten you.
‣ But the first time he took it off in front of you, you babbled and giggled, and reached out to his face. So from then on, he didn’t bother wearing it around you.
‣ There was one occasion when he came to pick you up from a neighbours after almost a year long deployment, and you were shy with him. It hurt Simon a bit, and made him feel guilty for not being there, and that you had grown so much in the time he was away. But the feeling soon melted away once your neighbour gave you a little push from behind their leg, you softening in Simon’s touch as he held you close in his arms.
‣ His teenage years were the most traumatic for him, so when you transitioned into yours, he became even more protective of you. You sometimes fought over this, and Simon felt bad, but you knew that he was doing it because he wanted nothing more than for you to be safe.
‣ When he bought you your first phone, he definitely made you have Life360 or something like it, so that he knows where you are just in case he needs it.
‣ He would never go crazy on where you were and who you were with. He trusted you. But when away, every night before he went to bed himself, or whenever it was late in the UK timezone, he would check that you were at home. It made him relax slightly about being away, knowing that you were safe.
‣ You were about 15 when you were properly introduced to the 141 team, as behind Soap’s teasing and pestering, Simon knew that you needed some other adult figures in your life. So, much to your own surprise, he messaged you asking if you wanted to come get him from base one time with his neighbour.
‣ You knew that Simon wasn’t really much of a physical affection type of guy, but you could never resist when he was coming back home after a deployment. And even less so now that you were able to come to base. But he also knew that much to his dislike for the public display of it, there was nothing he could do to stop you from doing so.
‣ And with that fact in mind, he knew he had to reciprocate the gesture, so when you did run up to him with your arms out, for a second he forgot about that fact the rest of the guys wouldn’t let cold old ‘Ghost’ hear the end of it, and wrapped one arm around you, lifting you up with ease, his bags clutched in his other hand. You practically squealed to him how much you’d missed him, as he mumbled back in your ear that he did you, too. Lucky for him the others didn't hear that.
‣ Once he had put you down, he very much awkwardly introduced you to the others in a grumbly tone.
‣ When you turned to them, the first thing that they all collectively noticed were your eyes.
‣ You had Simon’s eyes.
‣ Johnny’s hello was an enthusiastic “Good to finally meet you lass,” Simon glaring at Soap, aware of the amusement this brought him, knowing his lieutenant was annoyed as hell.
‣ Gaz nodded at you with a smile, and Price said hello in a deep but warm tone, looking on at you with an almost proud gaze.
‣ Price didn’t know what to expect when Soap loudly made everyone aware of Ghost’s new visitor at base pick up, as Johnny was the only one of them who had seen you before to recognise you as Ghost's sister, though they knew you existed (much to their inital surprise). But when you turned to the rest of the team without hesitance, Price instantly felt an even higher level of respect towards Simon as it was clear from your confident and polite hello that he had raised you well.
‣ Much to Simon’s own self doubt.
‣ One night when the 141 were all at a bar, Price quietly told Simon about how he had done well with you, knowing that he was definitely uncertain of his own worth in your life. But Simon heard the sincerity in his Captain’s voice, and with a quick look of appreciation towards John, he then didn’t doubt himself as much as he had before.
‣ Simon sometimes does mess up though with his language around you, only recently now that you have gotten older. But he isn’t too fussed, just as long as he doesn't hear you repeat any of it.
‣ Seeing that it is only you two in the house 24/7, you both surprisingly get on really well, and there have only been a rare few occasions when he has had to put his foot down.
‣ But these rare occasions would mainly consist of something silly to the point that he got sick of your nagging, like when you begged him to have ice cream for breakfast.
‣ “Please Simon, just this once-“
‣ “No, Y/N! You said that last time. Now drop it.”
‣ There have definitely been times where neither of you can sleep, and now that you're older, you both just sit with each other in comfortable silence. Occasionally just putting a random film on in the living room, but most of the time you would just be at the kitchen table, with a bowl of cereal at like 2am. That is until, and this is 98% of the time, you fall asleep with your head on the table and Simon has to carry you to your room.
‣ When you got to the age where Simon was comfortable with you in the house on your own, you once mentioned to him that the first day of him being away was always the hardest, and that it felt really weird in the house.
‣ You both knew he couldn’t do much about that, but he tried little things to make it somewhat bearable.
‣ For instance, he knows one of your favourite things is leftover takeaway from when you two have one, so the night before every deployment, he always orders takeaway for dinner so that there is always some in the fridge for you on the first day of him being gone.
‣ It’s the little things that Simon does for you despite his mostly cold heart that mean the most to you.
‣ On long deployments, you write Simon letters for him to read. You do message him too, but prefer writing them, as you know he will write back, which you feel is more sincere. His letters are never as long or heartfelt as yours, but you know your brother, and that he loves you dearly.
‣ His replies would often be a few sentences, praising you on anything that you would mention about school or just exciting stuff in general, signing off with ‘Simon’, and a barely noticeable ‘x’ next to it.
‣ You keep every single one of the letters he sends back, your favourites being the ones that he would occasionally send to you, first. And secretly Simon does the same, keeping your letters tucked away in his bag under his bed.
‣ He tells you unless its an emergency, that you should stick to letters or texts, so that he can still stay focused with his job and that if you do one day call him, he knows straight away that it’s an urgent matter.
‣ There was one time when you forgot about the emergency rule, and called him to tell him you passed a test you had been stressing about.
‣ He was about to shout down the line asking what was wrong and where you were until you beat him to it with a loud “I PASSED SIMON, I PASSED THE TEST!”
‣ “That’s amazing Y/N, but you just scared the fucking life out of me.”
‣ “Oh crap. I forgot, sorry. But I passed!!!”
‣ "Great love. I'm proud of you. But next time stick it in a letter, yeah?"

So you've heard you have to "support your community" as a punk. But how do you actually do that?
Here's a small list of ways you can get involved with your community:
You can go to local shows. These shows are cheap ($5-15) and you can support local bands both monetarily and through exposure. A lot of people complain that they live in areas with no punk scenes, but listen to me - i live in white suburban tech bro central, and there is a punk scene here. You just have to know how to look for it. The way i started looking was by searching "[my area] punk/diy" on instagram and following accounts that posted about shows in my area
Volunteer at your local library!! I know, big jump from punk shows, but also a very important thing. I've seen the online punk community starting to talk more about the importance of libraries. They're not just a place with a bunch of books; they have computer access, homework help, government and legal resources, job search resources, and more. See if you can volunteer at different events your library holds, a lot of which can be really cool, like art or culture fairs!
Volunteer for nonprofits in your area. It's a great way to get hands-on with helping your community. Food and toy drives, soup kitchens, workshops and classes, and fundraisers are just some examples of events around you that you can get involved with. Volunteering also doesn't have to be something you do all the time; it doesn't have to be a daunting responsibility. Doing it every once in a while still makes a difference

Tips for worshipping in a strict household (by someone with the same struggles)
This is not a fully comprehensive list, nor am I by any means an expert on the matter, this is just a few things I do to help me avoid suspicion while I pray/do offerings.
1. Altars
I wanna preface this by saying that you absolutely do NOT need an altar to work with any deity, but in case it is possible for you to have one, here's a few ways you can make it fly under the radar:
If you have your own room, using a part of your desk would probably be the easiest option. Stack a few books relating to any subject connected to the deity(ies) you worship, or organise your jewellery in that specific spot, maybe leave out little trinkets or pictures as 'decoration' there; boom, you have yourself an innocent looking altar!
In case you share a room with a family member who is unaware of your religion, or other such circumstances, you can always use a shelf! Leave whatever reminds you of your deities on it, and add to it on occasion!
These can be great spots for leaving offerings!
2. Offerings
They don't have to be anything extravagant, nor do they have to be frequent. 'Accidentally' leaving a glass of water out, a 'forgotten' piece of chocolate, that accessory that you very rarely/never wear but that always sits on that specific spot... that poem that's been left sitting on your desk? It's history homework.
You can also say silent prayers in your head before eating any meals (Although, do remember to leave the first and last bite for Lady Hestia!) And offer a piece of it to any God(s) you'd like!
Be careful though! You shouldn't eat or drink offerings meant for Chthonic (underworld) Gods!
3. Journaling
Writing in a journal or a diary is a great and sneaky offering for the Gods! You can pick any notebook you like, and write something for or about the Gods in it whenever you get the chance/want to.
Sometimes, I'd write things in forms of letters addressed to the Gods. Just telling them about my day, or anything particular that has happened.
This both feels good, and is a great way to connect to your deities!
4. Prayers
These can be pretty tough, especially if you never really get any privacy. They are a great way to build Kharis with your Gods, but they are also not a requirement.
Saying prayers in a language that your family doesn't speak can work, and there's plenty of excuses you can use if they question you about it. (Practicing said language, talking to a friend on the phone, just reading something aloud, and so on).
Whispering prayers while they aren't close enough to hear is another way you could manage. Write your own, shorter ones, if the need calls for it.
If none of the above are possible for you, saying prayers in your head, or simply muttering 'Good morning' or 'Goodnight' to your deities are a good substitute!
5. Devotional acts
There's plenty you could do here! Whatever domain your God(s) reside over, you can use that as a devotional act towards them. (Weaving for Lady Athena, self-care for Lady Aphrodite, language learning for Lord Hermes, playing instruments for Lord Apollon, and such).
Wearing accessories/jewellery that reminds you of them is a great one as well! If you don't have any, you could possibly buy some, and if you're questioned about it later on, you could say a friend bought it for you and you like wearing it because of them.
Reading myths, or any literature, regarding your deities is probably your best bet! Just learning more about the deities you worship and/or their family members is a way to build Kharis with them!
6. Digital offerings
This might be amongst the easier solutions, if you are a revivalist.
Collages, writing prayers, drawings, posting stuff about the deities, joining online communities; and anything of the sort can be an offering to Them.
If you're scared of getting noticed, for whatever reason, having a separate account/email address meant "for school stuff" could help you manage it.
Just remember that the Gods understand your struggle and don't hold it against you in the slightest.
As I mentioned, this is not a comprehensive list. If anybody has anything to add, I'd be happy to include it! My asks are always open if anybody has a particular situation that they need suggestions for!
I'm always open to feedback and criticism; if I had spread any misinformation or incomplete/confusing information, please do let me know!

An Introduction (with a Moderator's Message/OOC Message under the cut)
Greetings, and hello, users of the Internet (specifically, users of the website "Tumblr", which I'm sure you're aware of, seeing as you're currently using it)! This is Unusualogist Stanford Pines, writing to you from the depths of my complex mind.
Ever since my return, I've been made aware of the rising use of the Internet and its compatible devices as a communication form. Now, I wouldn't call myself an "expert" on anything involving modern-day technology as of yet—but, I will tell you, I have been getting used to its functions and features.
I'm aware there may be many questions floating around, both about Gravity Falls, Oregon, and the state of the world on its own. The strategy of ignoring... certain events is highly recommended, but if you find yourself with a curious mind like my own, I don't doubt you can't simply "forget" anything that you may have experienced. And, although you can confront many people for answers, I believe it to be my honor and my duty to address any concerns you may have, seeing as I'm undoubtedly one of the more experienced in the field of unusualogy.
Therefore, with help from my niece and nephew, I have opened this account with the primary goal of answering any questions you may have! I am happy to respond to the best of my ability—however, I do have three criteria to keep in mind when submitting your questions:
1. I do ask that you keep any questions as appropriate as you can. I will not be answering anything I find invasive or strange (not in the good way!). Don't be a creep, as my brother would put it.
2. Do not be afraid to interact, no matter who you may be and where you may come from! The goal of using the Internet as a base for "Q&A" (Questioning and Answering) is to achieve the broadest possible outreach we can manage.
3. I ask that you refrain from seeking out formulas or scientific theories that may disrupt the peace we have worked towards keeping. I will not allow this innocent, online expenditure to be used as a weapon for harm!
3A. I also ask that you refrain from using me as a "homework checker". Although I am glad to give you hints, I'm sure you can manage it yourself.
That would be all the rules I can think of for now. I will notify you all if there are any changes. With that, I only have one thing to say: ask away!
This blog is run by @ilovetapeworm who is a MINOR so, for the love of everything, there is heavy emphasis on not being a creep. Additionally, anyone can feel free to interact, whether a Gravity Falls blog or not! This is all for fun. :)
Asks will be tagged "The Author's Eager Or Not So Eager Replies". In-Character posts will be tagged as "Ford's Journal Drabbles". Out-Of-Character posts will be tagged "Damien Takes The Wheel".
Feel free to use sign-offs if you find that easier! And most of all, have fun with it! I hope my characterization is up to your satisfaction.

hii milkoomi, hope you're doing great<33
i was wondering if you would have any inputs on how to get out of a procrastination slump, i feel as though whenever i have college work and need to go consistently i'm in a pretty good cycle. but when i have longer periods of break, it can sometimes be difficult to have that same self discipline and keep myself accountable. i end up submitting things super last minute and i'm starting to piss myself off LMAO. if you would have any advice on the same it would be really helpful<3 thank u!!
omg hi angel!! thank you so much for sending in an ask! i’m doing pretty well and i hope you’re doing amazing!! 🤍
Tumblr media
students vs procrastination: the winner is obvious. ᥫ᭡
trust me when i say this, but i’ve been a HUGE procrastinator all throughout my entire academic career up until the start of this current spring semester! so i know what it’s like putting off completing assignments til the last minute! it’s a major struggle and i feel like it can actually be pretty debilitating since it can cause so much crippling stress. it’s one of the students’ toughest battles, but guess what? the student always wins! and i wanna share how i personally won my own battle!
Tumblr media
let’s begin …
୨ৎ — “if you have the time to do it now, DO IT!”
my mom always told me this ever since i was a kid, and she was completely right and i wish i had listened to her when i was younger so that i didn’t have to deal with being a procrastinator for majority of my academic career.
seriously, if you have the time right in that moment, start working on and finishing up what needs to get done!
since i only work two days out of the week, i used my days off to work on assignments. most of my homework is online and my professor would open up the modules every sunday at 8am and if i didn’t have anything going on on sundays, i’d get started on my assignments as soon as possible! if not, that following monday was used to get my homework done.
if you have even an hour of down-time, use that hour to get tasks done!
୨ৎ — the pomodoro method
god, i don’t even remember how many times i’ve mentioned/talked about this method, but it seriously changed the game for me when it was time for me to start working on my studies!
if you’re unfamiliar with this method, it’s essentially a time-management method that allows you to work for a set amount of time and take breaks in between the times you work!
i know you said you struggled with taking longer breaks and resuming your work, so incorporate this method into your study routine! you’re still getting the much needed breaks you need while also having the time to focus on your school work!
time examples: 25 minutes of work/5 minute breaks or 50 minutes of work/10 minute breaks
୨ৎ — be firm with yourself
i believe treating yourself with constant kindness and genuine gentle pushes is the way to go, but sometimes we need to be firm with ourselves and really teach ourselves discipline.
i’m not saying you have to punish yourself if you don’t get things done, but provide yourself a solid schedule where you set aside time during your day to get work done or where you have designated days for getting assignments/studying done!
being firm with yourself is also adopting a “i want to get this done now” mindset. a change in the way you think and view your assignments and studies could honestly be all that you might need!
change “i have to” to “i get to”
change “i need to” to “i want to”
i think we all need a reminder sometimes that our education is a privilege; not everyone is as fortunate as us to be able to get an education. so remembering that we’re extremely lucky to be able to receive an education can also be a great motivator to getting your school work done!
final notes —
i will always stress the importance of taking breaks from your studies because you need them! but it’s also important that you figure out the best time management strategy for yourself! learning to do so was the best thing to happen to me academics wise, and i know it’s a pretty cliché piece of advice, but it seriously does make a difference!
incorporate the pomodoro method into your study/school work routine! come up with a study/work schedule for yourself! and, of course, push yourself to get things done! i know we all need an extra nudge, but at the end of the day it’s up to you to give yourself that push of motivation because you’re the one who has to do the work!
with lots of love, faustina 🌷

We’ve covered headcanons for Grace and Pete (albeit through Bible Study), so what are your headcanons for Steph (and her ships)?
OKAY I LOVE STEPH LAUTER SHES MY FAVOURITE
Solo headcanons (a short list because this is all off the top of my head)
She's mixed and in my mind she's more dark skinned and has textured hair (I try describe her as such in my fics)
She's also chubby. Thick thighs, great tits, tummy.
I'm one of the many believers of the "Stephs mum was Honey Queen" and I think she's friends with Max because his mum was also honey queen
Steph has horrible coordination. She was going to go to try outs for the cheer team as a freshman. Brenda and Stacy had to sit her down and tell her she looks like a fish out of water.
She's a good cook because she was alone a lot growing up, however she burns stuff like toast regularly so Miss Tessburger and her dad don't know. Cooking is her thing and she's actively gatekeeping it.
She can sew
Stephs spotify wrapped is atrocious because she has like 500,000 minutes and her most listened to artist is always the Rio movie soundtrack. Second is Fleetwood Mac
She needs some sort of noise to sleep (hence the Rio movie soundtrack being her top artist)
The only reason she struggles at school is because she struggles with the basic concepts. Once she has the fundamentals of her work, she's really good at it (without help, English was the only class she could pass but she got solid Bs)
She's agnostic because her dad would always talk about higher powers when she was younger
She has an ao3 account. She's chronically online and pansexual, she reads fanfic
Lautski (an incomplete list):
Steph swaps clothes with Pete whenever she can. He never knows when she'll do this until he finds her shirt in his bedroom.
All Pete's sweaters fit her really well but all Stephs flannels are huge on him
Pete tried to help her with her English work once and got stuck into a conversation about like, the forced feminization of Victor Frankenstein in the book Frankenstein
T4T lautski <3333
Steph loves PDA while Pete hates it, so to avoid pushing boundaries, Steph blows him kisses in public. He always catches them.
In private, Steph's always touching him somehow (normally trying ti find an excuse to hold his bicep)
Pete has tried to teach Steph to dance exactly one time. She stood on his feet like 20 times before that decided it was a horrible idea
Lautity (also incomplete list):
Grace has been crushing on Steph for years (my source is abstinence camp because you can't tell me Grace doesn't have a crush on her)
Grace loves hugs but isn't super comfortable with kissing, so Steph always has an arm around her if she's nearby.
They have such different tastes in music, like if they're together they can only really listen to podcasts or Christian rock (think monster by skillet because it's Stephs taste in music but Christian)
Stephs a good two inches taller than Grace and keeps trying to get Grace in her clothes (or at least her shirts)
Stephs cropped shirts are nearly normal length on Grace
Their first date was to a museum
Steph collects shiny things for Grace like a crow. It's mostly the hairclips she's stolen from Grace and then found a month later
Lautskity:
If they have a movie night, they all end up falling asleep on the floor in front of the couch in a little huddle
Steph was both of their first kisses and had to hype her partners up so they could kiss eachother
They tutor Steph and call it a date (because she keeps flirting to distract them from the homework)
Steph orders for the whole table if they're out to eat anywhere.
They have a PowerPoint night once a month to try explain some of their interests to their partners. Stephs is normally internet drama, Pete's working through doing a plot analysis for every starwars movie, Grace discovered Jesus Christ Superstar and has opinions on it
When they move out of Hatchetfield, they flat together and Steph does the cooking most nights while watching movies she knows her partners wouldn't like. She needs 'zone out online' time and tends to get it while she's cooking so she doesn't ignore her partners later
This is a really short list of my headcanons for Steph and her ships. I'm a huge multishipper so I'm happy to see her with anyone, those three ships are just the ones I actively seek out fics for

Studying for Fun
Ok, Girlies, Part of me was like “duh, Queenie, they know how to have fun;” but then I realise that what I actually needed to do was provide advice for structured fun- not to mention resources!!  So, those are my two points for today.
Part 1: Structure
You know what your actual timetable looks like, but here’s a sample one that I’ve made that might help you add structure to your day
Tumblr media
Now here’s how to actually do that
List out every single thing you HAVE to do in a week- work, studying etc, but also tidying, cleaning, what day is laundry day.
Make up a grid like this, or do a list of times, however you’d prefer. Fill in all the immovable things- work*,lectures- and then fill the moveable things- study time, exercise, travel time to your lectures- around them.
if you work shifts, you may need to do this weekly 3. Be realistic. Are you actually going to wake up at 5:00? Girl, are you not going to socials on Wednesday nights? Are you not going to need a little bit more time in bed on a Thursday morning? You know what makes sense for you. But also, can you realistically get all the things you need to do done if you wake up at 10 and go to bed by 6?
I’m using silly examples, but I think you get the point that you need to make sure you are working healthily for your lifestyle.
Let me know if you want a more in-depth tutorial on this!
Another idea that can really help for structure and discipline is parallel play … that’s a phrase usually thrown about in child development, but whatever…
Parallel play or body doubling is essentially two or more people working on two separate tasks, but in the same space.
study with your friends
Set goals with your friends
Call them and exercise together
Accountability buddies are how you keep up structure.
Part Two: resources
These are some of my favourite places to learn things
youtube
youtube
youtube
(Yes, I do like history, how did you guess?)
*i don't use duolingo anymore bc of the whole ai, staff layoff thing... but I thought I ought include it...
Here's some others!!
Ok I'm DONE!!

Today is March 28th, 2024.
It marks exactly one year since, on a whim, I joined a Discord call. I've referred to it as "Robocop Day" since discovering the date because I joined the call after watching Robocop for homework and decided "Fuck it, if they're still on call, why not join?"
Words cannot properly capture/express how that was one of the best decisions I could've made.
To sit and think about all the ways I have changed for the better in this year is absolutely insane sometimes. I was so nervous to join that night, I barely knew anyone in the Redacted fandom and had barely gotten to know anyone outside of Angie (shoutout to thefablefoxart, go check her out /gen). But in that moment, for whatever reason, my brain was like "Do it. Go join this call. At least give it a try." So I did— And promptly got roped into a multi-hour ramble about one of many Darlin OCs (/lh /pos).
This account would not be what it is without these people. Neither would my art, my writing, my channel, and more. There are so many ways I have grown and so many things I've been able to try in this year of knowing this group of people, and I cannot wait for all that's to come still. So, without further ado, I'm gonna put the people in this group chat on blast (lovingly /lh):
@latenightsleeper: Sleeper Beeper, as Cupid calls you, you are such a force to be reckoned with. You are elusive but nonetheless loved and cherished. You are an incredible storyteller, even if 99% of the time you're simply finding new ways to rip my heart to shreds. I know life kicks your ass more often than not (which is should stop doing, frankly /lh), but I hope you know how important you are to me and how I would rain hellfire at the drop of a hat for you. I've been very lucky to get to know someone like you, and I hope I get to continue gaining your lore, as you put it.
@cashandprizes: Miss Alexis Moonlight, it is no secret how much you have improved my quality of life. Even when you're fussing at me, I know it's out of love and it simply makes me a better person in the long run. Any time spent with you, be it online or face to face, is truly a blessing in more ways than one. I've said before and I'll say it again, you are someone who makes me feel incredibly safe and secured, especially on my harder days. And that is something I will never take for granted. You are such a visionary, even when you don't always give yourself credit for it. I'm always in awe of the things you manage to cook up, regardless of the form they take. I hope that someday I can repay you even a fraction of everything you've done for me.
@mr-laveau: Veau, candidate for the leader of the PK fanclub (alongside Frenchie and Lexi Moon if I'm not mistaken? /lh), it's no secret that I am one of your biggest cheerleaders. And I intend to maintain that title because you are incredible. You are an insanely talented artist, voice actor, and writer, and I don't care anyone else tries to convince you. You are also one of the kindest people I have met when it comes to people you care about/look out for. It's insane for me to think that this singular extended invitation could have allowed me a chance to get to know so many amazing people in the long run. I am so happy to have met you. You have helped me be self-indulgent with the things I make and have pushed me to not only go after the things I want, but be kinder to myself along the way. No amount of words I could give to you will ever encompass all that you mean to me.
And one bonus party:
@wingless-cupid: Cupid, you may not have been there for the creation of this group chat, but you are absolutely a core member of it now. You've been stuck with me for far longer than the rest of these guys, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna pass up on the opportunity to appreciate you and our friendship as well. Life is a bitch to you, but you keep pushing on and I'm so happy to have witnessed it all on the sidelines. Your creativity and execution of such is insane to see in the best way possible. Even if we're threatening each other with violence every other minute, I know that you have my back. And I hope you know I have yours as well.
So yeah. Who is this post for? Mostly me. But I also think everyone I've mentioned is amazing and worth checking out. Thanks for being in my life, guys /pos

I finally got around to making an "about me" pinned post
Hi! You can call me Violet. (It's not my real name, but it's a pseudonym I've used for years. I also used to go by Prism online, so you're welcome to call me that too.)
Age-wise, I'm a college student. So not a minor, but I may mention classes or homework.
[I have a whump sideblog: violets-whumperflies. Follows and likes for that come from this account.]
Fandoms you'll see here: The Owl House Nimona Avatar: the Last Airbender Epic the Musical Good Omens (I do not support Neil Gaiman) The Locked Tomb (reactions at #violet reads tlt) The Adventure Zone Shakespeare possibly a few others that aren't tagged consistently
Other tags to help you navigate my blog: #my art and #my writing #hope - things that make me, and hopefully you, feel a little better about the world #rambling violet - things that are about my life rather than fandom or cool information #oops i relate #tropes - things I love seeing in stories #creativity - advice for writing, art, and creating things in general #pride - posts about queerness
Here's some of my other interests that I post about! Language & linguistics (I'm minoring in French!) History Nature Disability Poetry (and posts that I consider poetic) And some things that I am: ace lesbian and demiromantic/aro-spec, Jewish, autistic, ADHD
If you don't want to see anything about politics (which is valid!) tags to block are #current events and #political philosophy
Please feel welcome to interact with me! Say something in my askbox, whether that's ranting about fandoms or rambling about how your day was or random questions about me. I'd love to make friends!

Hi Amy, I like being spanked as a punishment, it’s not so much sexual as it is about the feeling of being taken care of and held accountable. The closest thing I would describe how I feel when getting a punishment spanking is probably the ddlg dynamic, except I don’t enjoy being treated like a little girl outside of a spanking. And the reason why I would equate how I feel with ddlg is because I like the idea of getting a spanking because I broke a rule, like I forgot to take my medicine, or I didn’t do my homework or I watched too much tv and other things that are bad for me. So being spanked feels like I’m being taken care of. Somehow this feels icky even to me, and I have trouble finding the right words to explain how I feel. I’ve told him I like being spanked and he thinks it’s mainly for sexual reasons. And as soon as I whimper he stops because he thinks I want it to stop or he’s hurting me. Even though I explained to him that spanking is supposed to hurt and it’s ok if I resist a little and cry a little. But he’s expecting someone who’s really turned on when being spanked and my reactions make him come to a full stop every time. How should I explain or phrase this to him so he would understand? Honestly I don’t really understand why I feel this way either and it feels icky to me too that I want to be punished and then comforted like a helpless child
Hey Anon,
Sorry it took me a bit to get to this.
I can recall being in a place sort of similar to where you're at, in that I had a few things that I knew about my D/s desires, but they didn't seem to fit perfectly into any of the dynamic examples that I found online - and that bothered me. A big part of me wished I could find some specific label or even just one other couple who were doing exactly what I thought I wanted and needed. I think I was seeking validation for my feelings and desires, basically.
But, I never really found anyone else who was exactly like me, or another D/s dynamic that was exactly like mine. And I think that's pretty much everyone's experience. I think the labels we use like DD/g or M/s and so on, are just sort of general ideas, so it makes sense for most people to find some elements from some D/s types that they relate to, and others that they don't.
Part of what that means is, you're unlikely to find a specific label or D/s style that you can tell to your husband and have him 100% understand exactly what you want or exactly what you're asking for.
Instead, you're likely to have to do a ton of explaining and discussing. If you haven't done so already, then sharing with him something really similar to what you shared with me here could be a great conversation to start with.
Getting from where you're at, to where you want to be with your mutual understanding of D/s, will likely be a series of conversations rather than just one. Which can be hard if you aren't used to that type of really open communication...or if you have shame or insecurity related to your desires. But, I hope you'll find that it's really well worth the work involved. It can lead to really deep intimacy in the end.
With your use of words like 'icky', it sounds to me like you're struggling with some shame related to your desires. I think that would be a good thing to let him know, so that he can recognize that this is a sensitive topic for you and so that you can both try to proceed with caution.
I think a lot of subs and a lot of kinky people struggle with shame about why they are the way they are, or why they have the kinks that they have, etc. For me, something that helped a lot was making friends within the community here on tumblr. For some reason, it's easier to judge ourselves for our desires than it is other people. Finding a friend who also likes to feel watched over or held accountable by their partner can make it easier to accept that in yourself, sometimes.
I think his hesitance to spank you more or harder makes sense given that he is seeing this as a sexual thing, and you aren't. If he thinks of spanking as something where a sub/bottom would be more of a "pain puppy" who would be going "fuck yeah, hit me harder Daddy!' with a huge smile on her face, then it's understandable why his brain is telling him "This is bad, I should stop!" when you are reacting with whimpers or just don't seem to be having a blast.
It is a really good thing that he is erring on the side of caution rather than risking harming you emotionally or physically. I'd suggest explicitly telling him that you don't want him to stop just because you make a noise or wince or similar. Reassure him that you will use your safeword if you actually want him to stop. Or, if he already knows this but is still choosing to stop, you may discuss with him if he's insecure about if you really want it, or if it's just that he doesn't want it. Not everyone is comfortable with spanking their partner to the point of discomfort or in scenarios that are not sexual. It might be a limit for him, and if that's the case, it's important for you to know that.
I don't think there is really any "perfect wording" to assist with getting someone to understand what you want. I think that focusing on how you're wanting to feel is often a really good thing to cover. A lot of times hesitance about Ds or BDSM activities from the dom or top side comes from not wanting to mistreat us. Which again, is a GOOD thing. Such a good thing to have a partner who has those protective instincts. Anyway - individual people's interests in the exact same acts can vary so much...and sometimes explaining how XYZ makes you feel or how you're wanting to feel, can go a long way to easing fears. For example, someone might worry that spanking their partner might make them feel afraid, abused, worthless. If you instead explain that you think it will make you feel small, watched over and loved - that might make a meaningful difference to their perception of this act. And this is true for so many other aspects of D/s and other kinks as well.
Something else that I'd suggest discussing is how you're interested in trying these things because of how you think they'll make you feel. But sometimes the reality of things feeling different than we thought they would. And so as you explore new experiences, you can discuss how it felt afterwards. That way, you can both keep in the loop about how each thing is actually making you feel, and you can decide whether or not to repeat those experiences as you go. Trying something once doesn't mean you'll have to do it forever if it turns out that it doesn't actually feel the way you wanted it to. Sometimes we only learn what really works for us through trial and error, and that's perfectly fine as long as we just keep in good communication throughout.
My last suggestion would be to include his side of the experience in this conversation. Let him know how it's important to you that he doesn't do anything he is too uncomfortable with. Let him know that you don't want him to feel like a 'bad guy' or like he's mistreating you. Let him know that you want him to keep communicating with you about how these experiences feel for him, too. Let him know that while you have some specific hopes/goals/dreams, that you also want to incorporate his interests/desires/goals/dreams into the dynamic too. Ideally, over time you'll find ways for it to feel like this dynamic meets some of his needs, too.
I hope something in here helped! Best of luck to you. :)

When I was an upperclassman in highschool I started sneaking my chromebook upstairs to have more time to spend on tumblr. I'd stay up until almost midnight, or even later. I wasn't allowed to have my chromebook in my room at night (a rule which I respect but did not follow, obviously) so every night I would sneak past my parents with my chromebook.
I was tired. Losing sleep. I had to get up at 6:00 am to get ready for school. Still would sneak my chromebook upstairs.
I wanted to stop. Couldn't stop because the temptation was too great. It was a habit now. Some nights I wouldn't bring it upstairs, but most of the time the temptation overtook me and there I went, computer in hand.
At some point in my senior year, having trouble in school because I was tired, I considered bringing it up to my parents. I would tell them that I'd been bringing my chromebook upstairs and I was sorry for breaking their trust, but now I needed to get more sleep and I needed their help. I would ask them to take my chromebook before I went to bed, so I couldn't bring it upstairs.
But every time I considered it, I knew it wasn't that easy. They would be angry. I had broken the rules. There would be a punishment. I would most likely have my chromebook taken away during the day too. Who knows for how long.
I didn't want that. I was getting into fandom at that point. I was in discord servers, having deep conversations, making friends. I couldn't risk having all my computer access taken away for the forseeable future.
So I never went to them. I never confided in them. I never asked for their help.
My freshman year of college I continued to spend most of my time in fandom. I made friends through fandom that I still have today and would never want to give up.
I spent more time than I should on it. Spent most of my time in my dorm room, glued to my computer screen. Instead of doing my work. Instead of going to the board game club or other activities. Made online friends that I could only talk to through messages.
And now here I am in my senior year. I'm still holed up in my room. On my computer. Barely friends with anyone on campus; closer to acquaintances, really. Over the years I got diagnosed with ADHD, got medication for it, but I'm chronically behind.
Every night I stay up in my bed on my phone scrolling twitter and tumblr. My eyes constantly ache.
There's no one I can even ask to take the distractions away from me. I'm the one in control now. I'm the adult. And I know that when I log out of a site, I can always log back in. When I delete an app off my phone, I can always reinstall it. When I put my phone away, I can always pull it back out.
And see, the thing is, I could do something. I could delete my twitter account and my tumblr account. There would be no way to restore either one. But I don't want to give them up forever, just the same as in high school. I have friends online now.
Besides, I'd probably get addicted to youtube, or just make a new account. So what's the point?
So every night I'm glued to my screen until I fall asleep. And every morning I'm glued to my screen from when I wake up until I absolutely have to get out of bed and go to class. And between classes and between homework and when I'm eating and after I'm eating when I'm tired from digestion and during homework when I've been working for a while so I need a break.
I always resented the fact that I couldn't go to my parents and ask for help out of fear that they'd punish me too harshly. But then, wasn't I the one who broke the rules in the first place? Wasn't I the one who chose not to take the chance and go to them?
Didn't I make my decision all of those years back?
It's funny, they never caught me. I was never punished. But for the past five years of my life, I have been tired.
Who's to blame? Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
