growth reflections — i found that releasing my resistance to deep intimacy has been healing. i had some traumatic relationship experiences that made me shield myself from being too vulnerable, out of fear that i’d suffer again. i think a bit of fear is normal bc there’s always a risk with intimacy, but now i’ve learned not to let it control me :) i am proud of myself

i officially finished my first week of nursing school! it's been a lot to take in with getting used to the heavy workload, but i love how much i'm learning.
some highlights of my first week was buying my first stethoscope, practicing taking people's blood pressure & listening to all the different pulse points, and getting my cpr certification :)

I got an A on my third exam of the semester! This one was definitely more of a challenge than the previous test, but it feels good to know that even the completely new material is sticking in my brain well. Now getting ready for the lab midterm - the histology is the most intimidating but I feel good about it.

i am officially one month into nursing school! these past four weeks have been very demanding because the classes are accelerated, so sometimes it feels like there's so much information and not enough hours of the day to make a dent in it.
this month has been about finding out which studying methods are the most efficient while still being able to retain the information, and learning from my peers and what works for them has been very helpful! i've also made sure to set aside some time for self care this week, because it's been very easy to feel burnt out from balancing school and my chronic illness.
