Spent the weekend in Oslo and omg it was cold! 🥶 Just taking out the phone to take a couple of pics was an ordeal 😂

From Oslo's main street Karl Johans gate, at the end you can glimpse the royal palace! To the right, the Grand Hotel where the Nobel Peace Prize banquet was held yesterday. To the left is the Christmas market ❄️🎄

Got Christmas spirit

HOHO.

It's a very beautiful day even i dont like the winter season cuz of how cold Norway gets early snow as we come through winter. But the cold soon will drop now it snows more and more. Oslo is very beautiful and we have already decorated it for Christmas. We Vikings are usually always so ready for Christmas.

This is a picture I stole from the @visitoslo ig profile. They as well steal from real photographers but they be giving credit to original ones. This is my favorite Ig page profile ngl. There are a lot more pictures u will be seen on there that I will repost. share my top favorite I can post my top photo of Oslo that was taken by fellow self-taught photographers, there are so many of my fellow Vikings so talented in taking pictures when they are out of about in the city. If you like to see Norway's capital or Norway's city in general like the recent picture that page is your way to go. It's updated daily u can check the post time frame too. instead, google searches for old pictures. Norway looks so beautiful in the winter season not just in the summer or autumn. etc.

Tilrey dream casting

To answer a question that's been plaguing me forever: is there any actor beautiful enough to play Tilrey in ColdColdHeart's stunning Oslov series? May I humbly present an option: 28yr old Brazilian artsy and prolific mlm-role actor Michel Joelsas 🥵

Granted poor guy looks a bit too happy, and he's a lil older Tilrey here than the Malsha years (all pics age 21-28, except the last one at 18 when he was on a teen show), but damn! I could see the Councillors not giving this up and Gersha instantly losing his mind & throwing his near-celibacy out the window @welcome-to-oslov

(For the record, we consider him blond in Brazil 😂🔥)

You've been proposed various AUs on here by readers (I'm the one who pushed for an Harbour one haha), which ones interest you the most? I think that some of those what-ifs could also be great for worldbuilding, expanding the world and how Oslov works etc.

Also, all of the AUs so far have focused on Tilrey, he is a great character after all! But did you ever plan a story centered on different characters or even a different time period in this universe?

I love all these AUs! But the Harbour one calls to me the most because I’d love to imagine Tilrey and Malsha interacting in this very new setting and Tilrey starting out frightened and disoriented but then slowly, slowly getting the upper hand!

I’ve had this universe in my head since my teens, so definitely, there were other stories in head canon that eventually became the prehistory of this one. Some of them started in Harbour with the Oslovs as weird invaders. One of them involved Malsha’s ancestor, Edvard Linnett, who was a spy in Harbour and betrayed Oslov after the government got him out of a bad situation but left his Laborer co-spy to die there. So the Linnett family has a history of dissent or just not believing in the system.

There was also a story that was basically just a dry run for Tilrey’s story, very similar but set a few generations earlier. The MC, Beirth Eikengren, is born in Thurskein like Tilrey and forced to become a kettle boy like Tilrey, but for a General Magistrate who is another Malsha ancestor. He’s full-on addicted to sap because it was forced on him. He joins the rebels as a spy and passes them confidential info that leads to the Linnett GM being exiled for his indiscretion. Beirth is sent to moral rehab and undergoes horrific recovery treatment and returns to Thurskein and that’s where the story ends because I couldn’t think of anywhere to go with it. 😁 I put a mention of him somewhere (Unlocked?) as an Easter egg for myself.

There was also a story about a younger Malsha in Harbour, learning to be cold and ruthless from a young sex worker he encountered there, and then one about Malsha bringing a Harbourer to Redda as his kettle boy, but I’m not sure that’s canon anymore. And Krisha! His whole story was in there too. Anyway, I was fascinated with the different phases of Malsha (who flirted with Dissidence during his youth and only pretended to give it up) and all the people he touched in horrible ways. 😈

I will cheerfully admit that I'm not really the reader Ao3 is built for, since I'm first and foremost a reader of original fiction. It just so happens that the stuff I'm into is so heavily fanfic-adjacent -- i.e., whumpy X-rated m/m -- that I...end up reading a lot of fanfic. If there was more high-quality, easily accessible original work along these lines, I would be a far less frequent traveler to Ao3 (though always a supporter of its mission and content).

Oh, and I HIGHLY recommend the TGB Discord -- there's a whole channel just for recs and related works, and the community is beyond wonderful.
