Psychological stress affects more than just your cortisol
Psychological stress affects more than just cortisol, it also affects DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) and DHEA-S (sulfated form) which plays an important role in stress resilience, recovery and your health overall.
A study found a 23% reduction in DHEA-S in those experiencing high work related stress. DHEA-S Has Protective & Regenerative Functions – It reduces inflammation, protects against oxidative stress and helps tissue repair. Low DHEA-S is linked to depression, chronic disease, pain, slow recovery and heart problems.
Reduce stress by meditating and deep breathing exercises. It lowers stress hormones and supports DHEA production
Walking, pilates, yoga also helps with stress
Cold showers increase DHEA levels naturally
Community and laughter helps regulates hormones
Avocados, olive oil, nuts & fatty fish help with hormone balance
Zinc & Magnesium which is found in oysters, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate are crucial for DHEA synthesis
Vitamin D supports adrenal health
Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, and Ginseng help regulate stress hormones
Go to bed by 10-11 PM – DHEA is naturally produced during deep sleep
Avoid blue light before bed
Use blackout blinds & Magnesium
Avoid Endocrine disruptors – plastics (BPA), processed foods and artificial chemicals
Eat cruciferous veggies (broccoli, Brussels sprouts), drink lemon water, and consider milk thistle to detox your liver
DHEA Supplements (speak to your doctor)
Pregnenolone – A precursor to DHEA that supports natural production
This is not medical advice <3

People who have periods, please rb and tell me your weirdest pms/period symptom? I feel like there's such a wide spectrum of random ass horseshit but all that ever gets mentioned is, like, cramps and mood swings. Mine is gum inflammation and the occasional heart palpitations
(Feel free to rb if you used to have periods but don't anymore, or if you're a trans woman on hrt who experiences pms, or any other circumstance i didnt cover. If you've experienced this bullshit i want to hear about it)

If you’ve ever been told “don’t use ibuprofen for cramps! It treats inflammation it won’t help cramps!” and you have endometriosis, take the damn ibuprofen that statement doesn’t apply to you. The reason endo cramps are so bad is bc anywhere it’s stuck to is incredibly inflamed during your period. Tylenol alone isn’t going to do shit, mix some ibuprofen or naproxen into that. If you have nowhere to be or anyone/thing to watch at home take it with some Tylenol pm; it will knock you out so you don’t have to feel your cramps at all
(Quick edit bc this just got a lot of notes - I’m not saying to down a large amount of ibuprofen or any other kind of pain meds. The specific situation I’m talking about in this post is when someone with endometriosis gets the severe level cramps. Pretty much anyone with endo knows what I’m talking about; it’s a level of pain that going without pain medication would be more harmful than taking the meds. Also that I had been told by gynos in the past that the ibuprofen wouldn’t help cramps but now know that’s wrong, that’s why I made the post. I’m asking that everyone be normal about things under this post, not saying anyone hasn’t been so far but I’m familiar with the internet so just putting it out there.
Obviously work with your doctor on pain medication dosing and be safe with your usage. This post was made with a very specific situation in mind)
#endometriosis#i’m speaking from experience#those articles that have ‘light exercise’ listed as a cure for cramps aren’t talking about you#an endo based article would list a handful of pain meds and enough weed to sedate a horse

Museum pt.1
I did it. I finally had the courage to ask her out.
We're going to the museum on Sunday night, it's a date. I can tell she's excited too, I was worried the museum decision was a little... nerd, but I'll guess she'll like it.
We set the time, 6:00 pm, I was going to pick her up but she said she had to do some things before meeting so she'll get there by herself.
It's 6:00 already. My hands are sweating and I can feel this... like, energy flowing through my body, it's making my stomach feel a little heavy, but I'm pretty sure it's excitement.
it's already 6:15 but I'm pretty sure she'll be here anytime, beautiful as always.
After 6:30 I decided to just go home. How could I be so stupid and think that going to a museum was a good idea for a date. I walked inside my apartment, took my shoes off and plopped onto the couch. I was too scared to even call her. I should just wait to see her tomorrow at the office, maybe she had something come up, something so important she couldn't even bother to call.
Y/n's pov
I don't know how long I've been here. I've been punched, spit on, almost drowned and electrocuted. My body felt extremely heavy and sore, my ears and head were killing me and I was cold. I just wanted to go home.
-"hey, princess, ready for another round?"
-"I just want to know why"
-"Is it not obvious yet?"
I just shook my head, slowly, of course.
-"hm, and to think that everyone tells me I look just like my father", he turned around, "or maybe, little miss agent here already forgot about every life she ruined, don't worry, I'll make you remember this day forever", he said pulling me by my hair.
Spencer's pov
I slept very well that night, suprisingly and given the circumstances. I guess crying really makes people tired. I had to put some ice on my eyes to get down the inflammation and redness.
I entered the office, my hands sweating and that feeling in my stomach again. I could do this, tho, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to ask here why she couldn't make it, or why, specially if she lies to my face and I detect it.
The team was already in a meeting when I entered the office, I quickly made my way into the meeting, everyone turning to look at me when I entered. That's when I noticed who was on the screen.
- "I know this might be a tough case for us..." Hotch started.
I sat quickly, I couldn't feel my legs, was this real? Is it my imagination trying to find an excuse for y/n to miss our date last night? Am I having a nightmare?!
- "But we're the ones who'll work the hardest to get to her", Derek said, angry as natural for him.
I wasn't angry, more like confused, sad, angry only at myself for not calling her, trying to reach her or something more than the pathetic "I'll ask her tomorrow" thing I did.
- "it's so sad, I can't even look at the pictures so I didn't put them in the presentation but...' Garcia sniffled... "But you can watch them in your tablets..."
I was too scared to look, although in my case it was a file, but not looking would be too suspicious as well, why wouldn't I look? It's supposed to be my friend, and she needed our help.
With my trembling hands I opened the file slowly, reading the first things, I opened it even more, but no pictures.
- "I couldn't dare to print them either", Garcia said looking at me trying to find the pictures.
The meeting was quick, everyone already assigned to do something different. I haven't looked at the pictures, I'm scared, but I also feel that would be a good way to motivate myself. Regardless, it's a little too late for that now, everyone's busy doing their different tasks, and I should be completing mine, too.

Hi there! I love your headcanons and I was wondering if I could make a personal request. Let me know if this is a no-go.
I have PMDD, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, basically PMS [premenstrual syndrome] but 20x worse. It usually resolves upon the onset of the crimson wave. But not all the time.
I have been struggling really badly with the deep depression, insomnia, and self-image issues brought on by my disorder.
Do you think we can see how the Batch handles their fem reader S/O struggling with this disorder specifically? And maybe, if it's not too much, a part 2 with some of our favorite regs?
Thank you so much!
Aloha my dear!
Oh, this is a heavy hitter, I know where you are coming from. So many people out there have no idea how freaking much this can affect someone's life. PMS is already a hard thing to deal with, but PMDD brings it to yet another really shitty level. Don't worry, I got you
The Bad Batch x Afab!Reader HCs - Struggling With PMDD
Warnings: Mention of PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) and its symptoms /Hurt/Comfort/Fluff
_______
AC: I'm using Techs Part first to introduce PMDD and its symptoms to those who might not know what it is. So don't be surprised about Tech's Part being longer than the others, there is a lot of information in there. So please read Tech's part, to understand what this is all about 😊
_______
Ko-Fi (If you feel like giving me some coffee)
_______
Tech
The first experiences he has with you in this context are frightening for him. Apart from the fact that you suddenly seem like a completely different person to him, he is really worried about you. But Tech wouldn't be Tech if he didn't get to the bottom of this.
It takes him a little while to find the right material.
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a much more severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). It may affect women of childbearing age. It’s a severe and chronic medical condition that needs attention and treatment. Lifestyle changes and sometimes medicines can help manage symptoms.
The exact cause of PMDD is not known. It may be an abnormal reaction to normal hormone changes that happen with each menstrual cycle. The hormone changes can cause a serotonin deficiency. Serotonin is a substance found naturally in the brain and intestines that narrows blood vessels and can affect mood and cause physical symptoms.
What are the risk factors for PMDD?
While any woman can develop PMDD, the following may be at increased risk:
Women with a family history of PMS or PMDD
Women with a personal or family history of depression, postpartum depression, or other mood disorders
Other possible risk factors include lower education and cigarette smoking
Talk with your healthcare provider for more information.
"Healthcare provider?" he mumbles softly between reading, "As if any of us have such a thing"
Symptoms of PMDD appear during the week before menstruation and end within a few days after your period starts. These symptoms disrupt daily living tasks. Symptoms of PMDD are so severe that women have trouble functioning at home, at work, and in relationships during this time. This is markedly different than other times during the month.
There is a chart with symptoms and he worriedly starts to read it.
The following are the most common symptoms of PMDD:
Psychological symptoms
Irritability
Nervousness
Lack of control
Agitation
Anger
Insomnia
Difficulty in concentrating
Depression
Severe fatigue
Anxiety
Confusion
Forgetfulness
Poor self-image

His brows are drawn together critically. With a heavy sigh, he says quietly to himself, "Oh boy…"
Tech makes it his business to see that you are examined by a proper doctor, given appropriate medication, and change your diet. He sometimes seems stern and matter-of-fact, but only when he notices you neglecting yourself. Tech also pampers you to counteract the psychological symptoms, with picnics, massages and the like.
Don't worry too much, Tech's got your back. He won't give up on you.
Hunter
His senses already tell him what connections exist with your condition. But of course he is not a doctor and therefore informs himself accordingly without your knowledge, Tech helps him. What he learns frightens him, Hunter is really worried, and he makes it his mission to make this time, these symptoms, easier for you. Apart from making sure you always have the medication you need at hand, he is also much more attentive and caring than usual during this time.
You can let yourself go and not have to worry about anything, Hunter takes everything in hand and has it under control. He is especially gentle and forgiving with you during this time. You mean a lot to him, and he does his absolute best to help you.
He doesn't argue with you when you get your moods, if you want to be alone he respects that, but keeps an eye on you from a safe distance, just in case.
Echo
This sweet man really throws himself into the task of helping you. Whether it's getting your medications, preparing food, massages, and running relaxing baths, Echo has it all covered.
With him by your side, you will want for nothing during this difficult time. He is also not easily scared away, he is as patient as he is stubborn. You don't have to go to the doctor alone, Echo will accompany you.
He organizes your medication, your diet and everything else you need, if you want. If you don't, you must tell him clearly, because Echo will automatically see his task in taking care of everything.
Wrecker
He is warm, and lively. Contrary to the expectations of most, he is also very sensitive and attentive. Of course, he does not miss the fact that something is wrong with you. Of course, he is worried and wants to help.
Talk to him honestly, try not to withdraw, and you will have a steadfast supporter and caretaker in Wrecker. He likes to spoil you, make sure you are taken care of and have your medication.
Wrecker is happy to adapt to you, you just need to communicate with him and let him know what you need. Taking care of you is very easy for him, he likes to do that. Knowing that he can make things easier for you is also good for him in this situation. So confide in him, there is absolutely no reason to pretend in front of him.
Crosshair
He is a bit more complicated at first. Of course, you are incredibly important to him, and he also has a certain empathy, but he often stands in his own way when it comes to emotional, interpersonal things.
At first, he can't really deal with it at all and is looking for some distance at this time. But in a small conversation between brothers, in which Hunter makes it clear to him that his behavior sooner or later can seriously damage your relationship, Crosshair first informs himself more precisely about the existing problem. Finally, he approaches you with the knowledge he has gathered and tries to discuss with you what you can do together as a couple, what he can do as your partner to make the whole thing easier for you.
You talk about medications, doctor visits, relaxation techniques, and home remedies to combat some symptoms. It doesn't take long for the two of you to work out a certain routine that you can both manage and that he can use to help you get through this time okay.

Thinking about this daydream where this girl is ig “possessed” with the cadou remains of the lords in re8 so they all inhabit her.
Tape recorder 01:46:23
“The girl was found deceased at 11:40 pm on the outskirts of a farmland. Owners didn’t know her around, victim seems to have been shot directly in the left eye. Upon examination of dental work she has two metal caps…it doesn’t seem professionally done. Her skin is discolored pus and inflammation down her side and her arms, cause is unknown.”
Tape recorder #2
“I’ve never seen anything like this…I was examining the wound and i got sidetracked so I made a bit of incisions on the cheek and I see that there was a replacement of some metal bars to keep the jawbone together, it’s obvious that the bone was already completely shattered from the rest of the jaw but the metal is keeping it together, how did it get in there…”

Was absolutely wide awake until 7 am this morning, which makes 24 hours. Today, naturally, my systemic inflammation is terrible and I feel terrible. Of course, when I said to my husband that I felt worse than I had in a long time, his response was that it was good my memory was so bad. So.
My dreams for the day are to pick up where yesterday left off, clean my workbench, do dishes, feed everyone, and like...be modestly happy. Seems like a lot at the moment, and so far it's 5 pm and I have done zero of that.

Your boyfriend was a doctor, you barely saw him unless you went straight to his office. And that's what you usually did. If he wasn't doing procedures, he was filing paper or on break. Perfect time for your to stop by if you're free.
You always bring him a lunch or something of the sort when you're not busy with work. Texting him before stopping by.
Today you went up there unannounced, you had an important project due soon and wanted to spend time with your boyfriend before things get hectic.
You walk in with a bag asking the receptionist who had seen you too many times that she knows your name by now.
"Hi" you smile, putting your hands in your pockets.
"Hello Ms, he's not too busy he should be in his office in about 10 minutes."
You whisper a thank you, trying to catch him before he has to get back to work.
You step into his office, which was cluttered with many paper of diagnosis or reports.
You look at one of the reports out of curiosity, wondering what in the world that word could possibly mean.
You hear the door crack open causing you to turn around, the corners of your lips going up turned.
"You're here quite early? What's the problem?" He jokes as he settled down his papers. Creating an even bigger mess.
You go back to the original paper you were looking at.
"Hey, what does this mean?" You pick up the paper trying to face jeongin but he wraps his hands around your waist instead. Laying his chin on your shoulder.
"Which word?" You feel him press his hips into your backside but you try to ignore it and answer his question.
You point towards the word not bothering to try and sound it out.
"Costochondritis? It's inflammation, sweetie" he pauses, hands traveling upwards towards your breasts "it's serious, if you do not get it treated. Though, I find this completely irrelevant right now."
"I-innie, we're in public. What if someone walks in?" He presses his hands towards your forehead, pressing the palm and the backside of his hand on there.
"You're quite hot, too hot for my liking. Are you sick by any chance?"
You wanted to punch him, you guys are in his office that has the thinnest walls known to man. You felt like you were burning up, only because of him pressing his hips against you.
"'im not sick, innie please." Your fingers grip the end of the table, looking anywhere for you to go.
You see a couch, turning around you push him off of you before booking it. It's not like you didn't want him, of course you did. But you were scared of getting caught.
He doesn't react, instead he walks up to you sitting next to you.
"You have to tell me what's wrong with you? Or how am I supposed to treat you?" He takes his stethoscope off, putting it away on the chair.
"Does it hurt?" He presses on the sides of your neck, moving his fingers up and down.
"N-no innie" you felt embarrassed, never having done this type of roleplay with jeongin before but you couldn't help but like it.
"Ah, call me Doctor." He butts in, moving from your neck towards your breasts, resting his hands right over your heart.
"How about here?" Looking at you with such fever, you look at the clock reading 4:55 pm. He had to see someone at 5:30 the clock was ticking and he hasn't even made a move to pleasure you yet. Opting to drag this out longer than he needs to.
"No innie-" he cuts you off once more,
"I recall asking you to call me Doctor, no?"
"Yes." You peer your head to look at him, he was showing no reaction to this besides the boner he got, pressing against his scrubs.
"So why didn't you?"
"Sorry doctor, it doesn't hurt there" you felt as if you were going to die, either from humiliation or from the way he was looking at you.
"Can you show me where it hurts then?"
You take his hands into yours, dragging them to where you need him the most.
You press his hands against your pussy, lightly whining at the feeling
"Here? Why didn't you just say that. Such an easy fix no?"
He gets off, taking off your pants he situates you to sit at the end of the couch.
On his knees, he pushes your panties to the side not bothering to take them off.
He licks up your pussy before going straight to your clit.
He knew you guys didn't have enough time, and he wanted to make you cum quickly.
He takes two of his fingers, shoving them in your hole.
"Innie- slow down, t-too much" you try and close your legs, on instinct but he didn't care lips still attached to your cunt.
"This is what's gonna happen, I'm gonna make you cum, then fuck the shit out of you after this meeting got it?" He sucks on your clit, fingers curling up against your g-spot you wanted to last for him but you don't think you can.
"c-cumming!" You clench down on his fingers, cumming all over his face.
"See good girl." He pulls your pants back up, going over to his desk to grab some paper to clean you off.
"w-what about you?" Instead of answering your question, he shoves his hands in your mouth. You taste his semen on your tongue, licking his fingers clean.
"Does that answer your question?" He wipes your face of sweat before checking the time.
5:25. "I should get going, you can stay or leave it doesn't matter to me. See you later princess" he gives you a kiss on your forehead before leaving the room.
You decide to stay, looking up at the ceiling thinking what the fuck did you just do.

- So far, I haven't had almost any tooth pain since Friday. I have been keeping up with the salt rinses. The first one where the pain completely disappeared was very surprising. I think swishing one way helped. I've felt it trying to ramp back up but the rinses knock it back down. Also been taking small doses of ibuprofen before bed for any inflammation.
- Been rolling with gif making - It's been pretty hot. Ideal plant watering time is 6:30 PM. I just trimmed the alyssum too because it was swarming over the other little plants. That beige-purple poppy is still there but the stem is long and falling over so I laid it on top of the sturdier jasmine plant - Due to my gout flare and diet adjustment, I'm at my lowest weight since May. Hoping to lose more soon.

Hi beautiful woman who runs this blog!
I'm doing the 100 Days of Productivity challenge, my point is zero days off and channeling my alt ego which is an athlete version of a nerd. The constraint being- as a female how do I fight and pave my way up during that time of the month, especially those 3-4 days prior to my period where I feel drained and lose all focus and concentration?
I'd appreciate your advice, I hope you're doing well!🤍
Hi angel 🤍
First off, I love the commitment you’re bringing to this challenge—channeling your alter ego is such a power move.
The few days leading up to your period can be hard, but you can still stay productive without burning out. Your productivity is not defined by hustle alone. These are days to honor your body's signals while still moving forward with intention. You’re not losing momentum—you’re learning to flow with your cycle.
Here are my top tips:
Food
Magnesium rich foods —(spinach, dark chocolate, almonds)
Complex carbs (sweet potatoes, quinoa) for steady energy and to curb mood swings.
Hydration is key—Add lemon, mint, or a pinch of Himalayan salt to water for electrolytes.
Anti inflammatory foods: Add turmeric, ginger, and leafy greens to your meals to help with inflammation and fatigue
Hormone balancing snacks: Nuts, seeds (especially pumpkin and sunflower) and avocado
2. Cycle sync your work
Pre period days are your luteal phase—time for reflection, planning, and wrapping up loose ends. Don’t push for peak output, instead, focus on tasks that feel grounding. Use a period app or if you journal, write how you feel each cycle to anticipate & plan around these patterns.
3. Move gently to boost your body
Ground yourself by walking outside, especially barefoot. Gentle yoga can help ease tension and cramps.
4. Self care rituals
Castor oil packs. Apply to your lower abdomen for 30 minutes to soothe cramps and improve circulation.
Essential oils. Diffuse or apply lavender, clary sage, or geranium oil to ease mood swings and tension.
Take warm baths with Epsom salts to relax muscles.
5. Brain
Brain dump your thoughts and prioritize tasks. Journaling or mind mapping.
Use timers to work in bursts—25 minutes of focus, 5-minute breaks.
6. Adaptogens & Supplements
Try maca root or holy basil (tulsi) tea to regulate stress hormones. Green tea or matcha for a caffeine boost with L-theanine for focus.
Ashwagandha— Energy, relaxation and focus
B6 & Magnesium—Great for mood and reducing PMS symptoms
Omega-3s— They help with inflammation and brain fog
Good luck babygirl!!! xx

- tickle torture
- tickling with s3xual intentions in it (that includes adult tickling a minor/child)
- tickle till they faint
- exposed bodies (again with the second point)
- foot focused-focus
Rules when requesting: (there is not that much nor that strict at all)
- make the request now (I sometimes get this and I get really pressured to finish it.)
- drawing too many ocs (maximum 5 characters, but it depends on the details too) (for comics or at least skits- maximum 3 characters)
-- note: if you break any of these two simple rules, I will delete the request from now on. /srs / gen
Important ps!!: if you want to make a gift or make a request of my persona tickling a male oc, make sure that I am not directly tickling the lee because I am not comfortable of it and most likely have to ask you to remove it!!
The thing about me is that I do and will start postponing when I will finish the request, and since art takes a bum load a while to make- it is best for you to be patient. Because it will come eventually if you are expecting it.

How to Detox Your Body Naturally with Ayurveda
In today’s fast-paced world, our bodies are constantly exposed to toxins — through processed foods, pollution, stress, and irregular routines. Over time, these toxins (known as “Ama” in Ayurveda) accumulate in the body and disrupt our natural balance, leading to fatigue, poor digestion, skin issues, and even chronic illnesses.
Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of holistic healing, offers powerful yet gentle ways to cleanse the body, boost immunity, and restore vitality. Here’s how you can detox your body naturally with Ayurvedic practices:
What Is Ama (Toxin) in Ayurveda?
In Ayurveda, “Ama” refers to the toxic waste that builds up due to poor digestion and unhealthy lifestyle habits. It is considered the root cause of many diseases. Detoxification helps eliminate this Ama from the digestive tract and tissues, rejuvenating the body and mind.
Signs You Need an Ayurvedic Detox
Constant fatigue or heaviness
Sluggish digestion or bloating
Bad breath or coated tongue
Acne or dull skin
Brain fog or low mood
Poor immunity or frequent illness
If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, it’s a sign that your body may need a gentle reset.
Ayurvedic Ways to Detox the Body
1. Start Your Day with Warm Water
Drinking warm water (with lemon or a pinch of turmeric) first thing in the morning flushes out toxins and kickstarts digestion.
2. Follow a Simple Detox Diet
Eat light, easily digestible, and nourishing foods for a few days:
Kitchari (a mix of rice, lentils, and spices) is the ideal detox meal.
Avoid dairy, sugar, processed foods, caffeine, and fried items.
Focus on fresh fruits, steamed vegetables, herbal teas, and spices like cumin, ginger, and fennel.
3. Use Detoxifying Herbs
Triphala: A mild laxative that cleanses the colon.
Neem: Purifies the blood and clears the skin.
Turmeric: Supports liver detox and reduces inflammation. Always consult an Ayurvedic expert before using herbs regularly.
4. Practice Abhyanga (Oil Massage)
Daily self-massage with warm sesame oil boosts circulation, relaxes the body, and draws out toxins from deeper tissues.
5. Sweat It Out
Gentle activities like yoga, walking, or even a warm bath help open the pores and eliminate toxins through sweat.
6. Follow Dinacharya (Daily Routine)
Consistency is key. Waking up early, eating meals at regular times, and going to bed before 10 PM help align your body’s natural rhythms and support detox.
7. Panchakarma — The Ultimate Detox
For deeper detoxification, Ayurveda recommends Panchakarma — a series of personalized, therapeutic treatments under the guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner. It involves techniques like oil therapy, enemas, steam, and herbal cleansing, and should be done seasonally or as advised.
Final Thoughts
Detox doesn’t have to mean harsh diets or extreme fasting. With Ayurveda, you can support your body’s natural cleansing process in a gentle, nourishing, and sustainable way. By following these Ayurvedic detox practices, you’ll feel lighter, more energized, and more in tune with your body.
Listen to your body, detox with care, and embrace holistic wellness the Ayurvedic way.
