Hi, thesis-length question anon here! Thank you so much for your long and detailed replay to my question, I couldn’t be more thrilled. If it’s ok for you, I wanted to respond to some of the stuff you said. I’m so glad you answered it through the lens of your historical knowledge and research. Because I don’t have that background, I keep thinking more about the game design/industry angle, but of course with Warhorse games, both are relevant.

Re Henry being the protagonist of a potential KCD3 (or not): You’re right in saying that Warhorse probably planned for the chance that the game just wouldn’t reach financial goals and thus would not get a sequel. With the ending they have now, it can totally be considered wrapped up if they want it to, BUT there are plenty of story threads that have been teased: freeing the king, the wedding, the upcoming wars, Von Bergow, Erik…I think kcd2 was meant to finish Henry’s coming-of-age revenge arc, but that doesn’t mean his character growth has to stop. And as you point out: Henry is a recognizable name (IP) now, just like Geralt from the Witcher or Shepard from Mass Effect (and hey, they got 3 games). Sticking to a known beloved protagonist is safer than trying to sell people on someone new. That being said, they could shift focus to another known character from the games – I’ve seen Jan Žižka be suggested many times because of his active involvement in future proceedings. And he is popular.

Re the female romances. Completely agree that none of them seem to be set up for longevity lol. Rosa was doomed from the start as she’s a noblewoman and is looking for better prospects, and yeah Katherine’s answers don’t exactly seem to point towards a long-term relationship/marriage either. Contrast that to Hans, whom we are told explicitly Henry will need to stick by for the foreseeable future. And his dialogue is a lot more open towards continuing their affair, despite the very real risk they would be taking. Hans has the most to lose, yet does not seem at all inclined to give up his romantic relationship with Henry (if you exhaust all the dialogue at the end), which is kind of amazing honestly. I do think the fact you can tell your parents you want to settle down with your chosen romantic partner kind of muddies the water a bit (especially because the game itself then seems to force you via Hanush to keep following Hans around), but I guess it’s part of the RPG experience that was perhaps a bit hastily implemented.

Re topic of the next game: I like your option 4 because of the *drama* but also these games have always taken place over the course of several weeks/months at most (we didn’t even get a season change across both games) so I don’t see them covering a war that would take several years. I know they play fast and loose with history which is fine if it makes for a better game, but they’re still gonna need to focus on only one or two major events that happen relatively close together at most. What if they go for option 5 because of the maximum emotional damage of the player losing both Radzig and Hans lol (maybe they could condense the events to make them happen closer together instead of years apart? Idk enough about that part of history to judge the feasibility of that. And it would make for a very depressing game, but one with 2 very impactful deaths (wouldn’t get my vote for obvious reasons, but I can understand why it could appear to WH).

Re incorporating the Hans romance into a possible 3rd game: I’ve thought about it and I am actually coming around that it wouldn’t need to be that complicated. They could just pepper in some extra lines in some convos. Like you said, no matter what Hans does not want to marry Jitka, so him being unhappy (or at least neutral) about his marriage can be part of the story anyway regardless of you romancing him. And like you say, the fact that they have to keep a possible relationship private and they can’t get married and have kids together makes it easier to incorporate. They really don't even need to give you a long sidequest to romance him because you're basically already in a relationship by that point lol. The only other thing I considered, was that it's not very friendly to newcomers to the game to continue a relationship like that, and games that need to sell big like these ones always try to pull in new players. Hence the new romance options in kcd2. But Mass Effect did some romances that overarched several games, so it *is* possible. And like you said, likely Hans and *maybe* Katherine would be the only ones to carry over and KCD3 would give the player several new options for newcomers or ppl who want a fresh start.

So thanks for giving me hope that they’ll still allow us to romance Hans *if* we do get a third game with Henry as the player character. Big if, but we live on hope!

Henry definitely still has unfinished business! And I agree with you, KCD2 clearly wrapped up his coming-of-age revenge arc but there's soooooo much more left to see!! I personally would love to see a third game for Henry (and a fourth, and a fifth, … etc ad infinitum), and considering other IPs I absolutely agree with you there as well that it's quite plausible. Of course, I also just want all the Hansry content Warhorse will give me in general. I am ready to shove every little crumb of it I am handed directly into my mouth.

I could see Zizka as a headlining character, but I do think it would still be a very risky move on Warhorse's part honestly. And not just because people want more Henry (and more Hansry, lbr), but also because Zizka is kind of a well-known public figure in Czechia and kind of a national hero. That's stickier than anything you want to do with your made-up protagonist. Also I think romance options would be… interesting, to say the least. Can you imagine romancing Katherine in KCD2 (cucking Zizka) and then in KCD3 you romance her again, but this time with Zizka cucking Henry... feels a bit like that "did you fuck my mom, Santa Clause" meme but 10x worse and somehow it goes both ways.

Tho now I do kind of want to write a fic where characters play witness to the Hansry romance from the outside looking in. A running bet between John and Sam on how quickly those two idiots figure it out...

I think the conversation with Henry's parents was more put in as a way for the player to essentially decide how they envision Henry's life going from that point forward just in case the game didn't end up being a success. In that regard I honestly think it's super sweet of them to add that in, and I do think it would have been kind of a slap in the face for people who decided to romance any of the women if Henry couldn't at least express that he wanted to continue things (even if they brushed him off).

Especially because, while Henry can agree with both Rosa and Katherine that it should stay a one-time thing, he can also keep pushing them. Rosa shuts him down while Katherine's response is far more eh, guess we'll see! 🤷🏻‍♀️ but that isn't going to affect how Henry feels about his future, if that makes sense. Even if your partner doesn't see you two having a future together doesn't mean that you can't still be dreaming of an engagement ring, you feel me? Hans just happens the be the only love interest that wants the same thing as Henry—all while being the only love interest that can be part of Henry's future regardless of whether he wants to keep adventuring or if he'd prefer to settle down.

Honestly, since responding to this message, I'm increasingly inclined to see that as an extremely plausible option for the third game while also gunning for it. That would make for SUCH a fun sequel. It would also follow the same pattern we've followed thus far, which is the first game smoothly leading right into the second game. I'd honestly be pretty surprised if they decided to put in a long timeskip between 2 and 3.

And while I know that they do play fast and loose with history, I think they wouldn't play quite so fast and loose that they'd squeeze both of those deaths into the same year—if only because the sequence of events relating to their deaths makes sense given the sociocultural and politico-religious context of the time of each. Luke wouldn't be happy, but I can deal with him being disappointed that he doesn't get to play out dying... he'll live, figuratively and literally!!!! Killing most everyone (rocks fall, everyone dies) would also close the door on a fourth game, but… well, I won't presume, I'll just hope.

Your comments about newcomer-friendliness being a consideration did get me thinking. You are definitely right about other games carrying those over. The Witcher series never had any issue bringing back Yennefer and Triss (and even Shani!), Mass Effect consistently brought back love interests… Both games always had an excuse for why the main character was separated from all or several of the characters from previous games, but I think even without that it's possible to just skip past the time that he and Hans spent "away" (read: fucking) and call it good. Picture it:

KCD3 starts with them and perhaps a few others having only recently returned to Rattay. Hans is cagey around Henry, but Henry perhaps isn't certain why. At the same time, Hans' wedding looms large on the horizon and is bound to happen any moment now. As wedding prep continues (perhaps in the form of the game tutorial; maybe there's a duel to help Hans with his nerves), Henry and Godwin both help left and right, running around like gophers.

At the same time, Henry slowly but surely works out the cause for Hans' cagey behavior around Henry. As we talk to him, Hans admits that he's nervous about how things will be between them after he gets married:

Hans: I just… I've been thinking about… the two of us. So many things are going to change with this wedding, but I don't really want our relationship to change.

Henry:

Don't worry, we'll still be friends

Eh, anything can happen. We can't predict the future

♥ I'm not going anywhere

This works out phenomenally well because remember, Hans falls in love with Henry regardless of whether or not he's romanced. While it makes sense that Hans would be nervous about how things will be between them with such a big thing in his life changing. And if he sounds a little in love with Henry as he asks, well... he does fall in love with Henry over the course of the second game regardless of whether or not he has the courage to eventually kiss him.

Honestly, the way I view it… well, I'm an OG fan but I honestly cannot even imagine playing the second game without playing the first one, well, first. All that background?? You'd be missing out on so much important backstory, and not just regarding the boys' relationship! This might just be me, but I feel like I would have been at least a little lost starting that game more or less in media res. Not to mention that it takes the boys' relationship from 0 to 100 real fucking fast. The things Hans said on their walk to Bozhena's house that made me fucking cry (YOU'VE NEVER LET ME DOWN MY BELOVED) would lose so much damn weight if you don't know just how far these two idiots have come. If you started out the game without any previous context, you'd go into it thinking they've always just been that close!

And honestly, I don't think it's a super big "if" on protag!Henry and romanceable!Hans. I might be jinxing it here, but I really think this is genuinely the most plausible outcome!!

Of course, if they really wanted to fuck with players and make things extra friendly to newcomers, they'd have Henry lose his memory jfakghjfk;al (please don't do this, Warhorse, I'm begging)

I 100% agree with you that that was lazy writing. What was the point of deliberately picking someone the audience (and the 118) were familiar with to be Buck's LI when they could have picked some random. What was the point in delving into Tommy's history and his feelings, what was the point of showing him head over heels for Buck in the last ep, of getting a gift for their 6 month anniversary only to say "oh well, I figured we wouldn't last, so I'm gonna get out now before you break my heart". Why let him get that involved if Tommy's ideology was to never allow himself to move forward in the relationship because ultimately he thought it wouldn't last? It's whiplash for the audience after you saw how INVESTED Tommy was in the last ep! And how exactly is this Buck getting off the hamster wheel? This relationship has ended pretty much exactly like all his others - he gets invested, they leave! They had so much potential as a couple - seeing what it's like for two fire-fighters to date knowing they're both in risky jobs, maybe Buck having to meet/deal with Tommy's homophobic father, getting to explore a "new" character's back story instead of rehashing the same story lines from the mains as well as seeing more of how Buck deals with being in a same sex relationship. All wasted.

And since they referenced Glee, if the plan is for it to echo the Kurt/Blaine relationship in that show where they broke up so they could "explore" before getting back together, by doing so they ruined that relationship so much that by the end it wasn't satisfying that they WERE endgame - they weren't the couple we fell in love with. (And also, way to reinforce the negative stereotype of "you can't ever be long term with your first". I should let my sister, my cousin and my aunt know even though they've all been married for years to their husbands - all their first.) Even if they do decide to bring Tommy back down the line, would it even be the same relationship we fell in love with? Would we even trust the writers to stick with it and treat it well? Or if they did a final episode reunion so Buck doesn't end the series alone, how is that satisfying for the audience?

I have been watching 911 since it started, and I have always been part of the general audience up until S7 where I joined the fandom because I thought Buck/Tommy were adorable. It's the first time in years I've become invested in a couple on a show. It's the first time in years that I've dipped my toes back into a fandom. Like you, this ship inspired me to write fic again. I have a bunch of wip's waiting to be posted on ao3 and I honestly don't know if I'll finish them now. And if they have broken them up for Buddie to get together I think I'll stop watching. And not just because I never saw them as a romantic couple (I only ever saw a deep friendship) but because logistically I don't see it working. Besides the fact that I think that while they work as friends, they probably wouldn't gel as a couple, two people on the same team in a relationship? That will screw up the 118 dynamic, especially as this show looooves relationship drama. If they get in a fight, or worse, break up, then what? How would that work within the 118, unless someone transfers out, but then it's bye bye the 118 we love. And not to mention, in the only 4 months I have been in this fandom I have seen some VILE crap from the buddies, and from what I understand it they've been like that for years. And the show runners know about it, so if they go with Buddie, congratulations, you've rewarded toxic behaviour and given them a license to be worse (look at them already, going in the bucktommy tags and gloating).

I told myself after Glee ended and they royally screwed everything up that I wouldn't watch another Ryan Murphy show because he has a history of doing that sort of thing. When 911 came along I was cautious, but it looked like it would be different - more grown up if you will, especially since Ryan Murphy hasn't really been involved since season 1. I should have just gone with my gut. I just hope that, knowing these last two eps were filmed weeks before they aired, the showrunners see how popular they were and realise crap, we've made a BIG mistake. (Everyone should flood instagram and especially Facebook, whoch is more GA than most social media platforms, with RESPECTFUL comments about how devastated they are, and who knows, it might make them consider bringing Tommy back sometime in 8b - I believe they're still writing the back half of the season.)

Side note, I feel really sorry for Lou. Yeah he's going back to SWAT, and I love him in that (even though his character can be a dick sometimes) but he's said in interviews how he's tired of always being cast as "the muscle" due to his size and he seemed genuinely happy to get this role, which was exactly what he was looking for - the sweet, caring, romantic love interest role where he could show some depth, and they screwed him over (sounds like he even thought Buck and Tommy were doing well and wasn't expecting the break up until the end).

(Apologies for the long rant. But what you've been saying really resonated with me and I needed to share your sentiments.)

15. hello! i have yet another hyper-specific itmf request, so no worries if nobody has any recs lol. i'm looking for any fics that involve a character having to relearn how to communicate with others. like, (re)learning how to speak mandarin or how to act "normal." recovery fics also might count? i've recently realized this is a type of fic i really like for some reason so i'm looking for more! any setting is fine :)

this is weird enough that i want to explain it just to be clearer, so,,,, some examples in fics i've read are: zombie wei wuxian, whose mental faculties are only just coming online after being braindead (in A Corpse Called By Name); and wei wuxian being displaced in time, forced to learn modern mandarin instead of the ancient language he speaks (in The Shade of Old Trees). i know this next one isn't a mdzs fic, but another example would be xie lian in A Long And Slow Recovery, in which he just got out of the coffin and is struggling to act human and recover fully.

Top 10 Minor Stormlight Characters I Want To See More Of

Don't get me wrong. I will take 1500 pgs of Kaladin being Kaladin and Shallan being Shallan etc. etc. But there are some characters who just don't get very much screentime who I would LOVE to see featured in Stormlight 5. Here are my Top 10 picks!

#10: Zu

I do love me some Windrunners, Lightweavers, and Bondsmiths, but I'd love to see some of the other Orders get featured too. Zu is a Stoneward (like Taln!) and she seemed cool in her brief appearances during the Shademar diplomatic trip. There's that bit about how she seems to be better at combat than her known background would suggest and how she seemed super perceptive...but mostly, I'm not gonna lie, I just want to learn more about Stonewards and cool ladies.

#9: Thude

I mean, since Stormlight 4 ended with [SPOILERS INCOMING WHOOP WHOOP] Venli finding the Listener community hidden away, I assume we'll get more from them in Stormlight 5?? I hope so! Thude in particular seemed cool: I feel like it was largely due to him that some Listeners escaped from Odium, and I'd just like to spend more time with those characters. Venli's mom too!

#8: Those two cute Ardents

I had to look up their names: Ashir & Geranid. They're the cute couple of Ardents who live on a Reshi Island and seem to be living their best lives? Ashir likes to eat sweet food and cook, and as a man this would be scandal were he not an Ardent. And Geranid is doing science experiments on flamespren. I would love to see what they're both up to these days!

#7: Axies the Collector

I just like learning about all the different spren, I think. And so Axies was a fun character to follow around. He needs to meet Kaladin so he can learn that imprisonment spren are real!

#6: Cusicesh

This is that big huge spren in Iri that rises out of the water at the same time every day and cycles through faces--we meet them in the Axies the Collector chapter. And I dunno! Something about Cusicesh just captured my imagination! What are they the spren of exactly?? Why are they so punctual?? What does it all mean?? I don't really expect to find out, to be honest, but I would love to visit there again.

#5: Azure

I know Azure is a major character in a certain other series, but she was a fairly minor part of Stormlight. But she was great! I don't know if she'll really be coming back--her heading off into Shadesmar felt final--but Nightblood is still on Roshar so maybe? I'd love to see more of her interactions with Rosharans!

#4: Malata

Here again we see my desire to just see more of the orders! We haven't seen much of the Releasers, and I'd like to see more. I don't want them to be written off as the "evil" order or something, and I think Malata is an interesting character.

#3: Dieno (The Mink)

Like, not only is Dieno a super interesting character in his own right, but he also provides a much-needed Alethi-critical perspective, I think. I'd definitely like to see him more in Stormlight 5!

#2: Cord

I mean, Cord was featured heavily in Dawnshard, but I'd say she's definitely more of a minor character in the main Stormlight series. And I'd love to see more of her! She's tough, cool, hopefully gay for Rysn...and I'm also a big fan of Rock, so I like seeing members of his family. I also appreciate that Rock & Cord have such different outlooks but still seem to have a really (rock?)solid relationship. Stormlight can use more healthy families, you know?

#1: Hesina

But the number one character I want to see more of and my actual motivation for writing this list is Hesina! I feel like Hesina has appeared quite a few times--certainly more than some of the others on this list--but her scenes usually also involve Kaladin and Lirin, and Kaladin and Lirin usually dominate the interactions. I am desperate to see more Hesina-as-Hesina, not just Hesina-dealing-with-the-father-son-drama-that-is-her-constant-background. I'd love to see Hesina interact with other characters too--I think there was been tumblr discussion of Hesina interacting with Adolin or more with Rlain: that'd be great! Honestly, I would take ANY Hesina POV section, as I'm not sure we've ever had one?

If Beyond got turned into a full blown series or a movie or even a manga or audio drama, what do you think the plot would be?

We do have at least the implication that there is going to be a novelization of the story - and let's be real, considering the following paragraph(s), even if Kakudou narrowed this down to a (quite incoherent) 4-minute-PV (that took over a year to make!!!), he said it himself: It was VERY selective and since he's been brewing up ideas for probably 30+ years at this point... There'd be enough plot for at least 54 more episodes.

We DO have a short synopsis for the part with Taichi, Yamato and Iori, but we can see that there is a lot more to it:

Considering the amount of cameos and nudges within the PV, one has to ask the question how much of what we've seen is SOLELY Kakudou's vision - and where he had to make "compromises". (I'm quoting a Japanese Twitter account moping about the hints towards Tri onwards, claiming that "we don't know if those were really Maki and Rui - and Meiko may really just be a random Chosen Child in this universe." We really don't know anything here, they may as well just have been cameos and nothing else!).

@jamesthedigidestined has come up with a general plot idea that I'm gonna post and elaborate on just a little bit!

"So, Jap government already has a Digimon research division, being the epicenter, but USA wouldn't want to lag behind on a new field of research, and would basically hunt for the American Chosen, leading to Japan/Koushirou (possibly as 1337 hackerman) to locate them, while Taichi, Yamato, and Iori are out recovering children. Taito because brawn + marketing and Iori because gatehop + Engrish.

This leads to America to build a supercomputer in an attempt to take over the Digital World, as the Digital World servers naturally migrate to the strongest computer of that era, and the current strongest (Yggdrasil) is an anonymous supercomputer that they can’t locate, leading to Digital World: Liberty (WIP title) and the attempt of Liberty to overthrow Homeostasis as the master controller, which is when Koushirou attacks and this is when the supercomputer Liberty reveals its its own consciousness now and can project AT Fields. The gears are Liberty’s attempt at forcibly controlling Digital World: Yggdrasil, specifically the Digimon."

Having the military involved was already a little nod towards Takeru's little drama fanfiction after the events of The Beginning (which also mentions the Evangelion-esque AT Field we see, coincidentally, with Koushirou and Kabuterimon in Beyond). Even if that drama was not authorized by Kakudou himself, we KNOW that higher-scale-involvement HAD been a thing in Kakudou's previous epilogue-related ideas:

Of course that doesn't really help us plot-wise overall, because these are all very loose ideas, but I'd narrow this down to three separate POTENTIAL main-plot-strings:

1.) The "Liberty" plot outlined above (or something similar along those lines).

2.) Everything that could be a 02 leftover, such as, but not limited to: Armor evolution (as seen with Daisuke, Ken and Iori), Arukenimon (maybe having a Wizardmon-esque cameo since she somehow survived?), the whole Dark Ocean aspect. Hikari being affected by those dark particles could be either a nod towards the Dark Ocean, or, as James pointed out, may have been Liberty trying to enter Hikari's mind. Also, as posted above, SOME kind of space-related involvement.

3.) Leftover plots from Tri/The Beginning - IF that was Rui, Dark Gennai or someone entirely else. Some people on Twitter speculated that Takeru got Maki back from the Dark Ocean and in my opinion, the whole reason Meiko showed up in this context would be to show the connection between this subplot (Meiko+Maki/Tri) to the original cast (Hikari being affected by it and Takeru going to act on it - thus, they'd finally get something to do in the forefront).

So yeah... Lots of stuff to figure out and focus on!

Hello everyone, Smite here!

2023 is coming to a close and it's been quite the year, a mixture of "this is a bridge year for greater things to come" and "WE LIVIN' NOW MF!" What is a bit different this year is that the highs weren't as high and the lows weren't as low compared to previous years---maybe that is just me getting older, maybe it's hindsight. Either way, I'm good and this year was good.

But some things are more than just good. I'm of course talking about these writers and their stories that I have featured today. All of them deserve special mention, but I want to focus on two of them specifically.

In a year of great, fantastic and already legendary fics, these two stand out.

Without further ado, let's dive into the final MoA of this year:

I- I- I just read the damn tags and new I one day had to give this a shot. ff4sooya has crazy ideas, futa galore, different dynamics and kinks, which is SO MY THING. This has Mommy and Daddy involved in an absurd (and absurdly hot) threesome that I couldn't take my eyes off.

Now I definitely need to read more and you should too because I bet there are a bunch of Masterpieces in that long Masterlist!

Is it really a Monday of Appreciation post without IZ?

Seriously, what this genius is able to cook up in a commission or in the currently ongoing (HYPE) IZ DAYS OF CHRISTMAS is absolutely incredible. We have long stories with in depth characters and love drama that ends not only smuttily but sweetly. Who the fuck needs books, when you can just binge IZ?

With "Drunken", they have once again hit it out of the FUCKIING park. There is never enough Daddy kink fics, yes, but mine seem like nonsensical cringe porn compared to this beauty of a piece. I love how it plays with my heart, no I'm not crying---okay, now that is hot.

Let me change that: there is three very fucking special stories today!

1.000 Notes, and it's still not enough for what is my pick for fic of the year (FOTY? FOOTY? There is a scene like that, yep). IZ*ONE truly never dies, but it is IVE and these absolute super stars, bomb shells with flawless faces and different, yet irresistible bodies that have us in a frenzy.

Talking about frenzy, all those 30,699 words are a frenzy. I thought Peach would set it up with a long and painful tease that has us edging the entire time BUT NOPE this has so much fucking smut, so many lines of neediness and horniness, it is impossible to finish in one try or two tries or... I dunno, seven-hundred tries?

It's detailed, it's straight forward, it's sex from every fucking angle, I can never get tired of this. I will go so far and say this is Peach's magnum opus, the GOAT fic by the GOAT writer. At least for that day, I can say this without a doubt.

i decided to do a tarot and pendulum reading about the potential spn reboot (with the supernatural tarot deck!) so if that's your kind of thing, check below the cut!

since i did the tarot reading first , i'll be discussing that first. i'll briefly explain how i drew my conclusions for each question, but if you have any other questions just let me know. also warning this will be a long post but please stick around especially for me adding the pendulum's results, exciting stuff came through with that!

tarot reading

question 1: side characters that may be on screen. because of the nature of this question i'm not really interpreting meanings of the cards (one exception), it's mostly just going with the characters on them

benny, adam/michael, meg, jess, and baby (this one made me giggle because of the car getting raptured jokes)

i asked for clarification on jess (it was kinda a curveball to me) and i got 7 of swords/blades in reverse which actually has ruby on it. the meaning of the card is basically stop lying to yourself. lowkey i think the show is gonna try to make sam and jess get back together in heaven, OR sam will have to face past relationships and make some sort of decision about who he's "meant" to be with. if they erase eileen (again) i will be upset LMAO

question 2: timeframe for an official announcement. using the actual card meanings for this (also the picture of these cards is with next question's)

the hermit in reverse and page of swords/blades. honestly i think it is in the veryyyy beginning stages of being planned so unfortunately there's not really an actual time estimate. but be on the lookout for little hints from actors, producers, etc

question 3: timeframe for it actually being on our screens. once again using actual card meaning

the wheel of fortune in reverse. momentum is stalled, stagnant; fearing change. so once again there is not really a current estimate of when this will happen but it will probably be longer than a lot of us want/expect it to be. for the fearing change part i think that's referring to the production process, possibly struggling to find the network and work out legal aspects, also maybe slightly scared to bring back the show because they're not sure how viewers will respond, but they will still go through with it

question 4: plot-wise, will it pick up where it left off and stay in heaven? will it rewrite pre established canon ending? using characters + card meanings

5 of cups/goblets (gadreel), 8 of pentacles/pentagrams (jo), 9 of swords/blades (alastair), 10 of wands/bones (cas), 8 of swords/blades (constance welch)

i think it will take place in heaven where we left off (sam and dean stay dead), but heaven/hell/earth will all end up being involved. what im leaning towards is some sort of infiltration of heaven; demon drama with all hands on deck (lots of fan favorites would likely come back for this). the 8 of swords meaning is feeling stuck/imprisoned so maybe the chuck won theory is actually true?? ultimately another Big Bad or cosmic event involving fixing/protecting the afterlife

question 5: will they make destiel fully canon with onscreen reciprocation? characters + card meanings

death (death, lol), page of pentacles/pentagrams (ghostfacers), the hierophant (billie), and queen of cups/goblets (ellen)

call me crazy but i think this is saying yes. ik this is silly but because ghostfacers came up it reminds me of the "gay love can pierce through the veil of death and save the day" quote especially with being between death and billie. also i think production sees destiel as a valuable business/economic opportunity now. despair/the deal will obviously be brought up. billie might be angry that cas killed her and some plot develops with that? ellen being here is a bit of a curveball but maybe she tells dean in heaven to get his shit together LMFAO but also the guidebook says "this tarot card is a reminder to be nurturing and compassionate with those you love" + cups being emotions and pentacles being stability, everything previously unsaid will finally be getting attention. think it'll definitely be A Journey to get to it; a lot of forces within context of the show and in real life still going against it though

I have many thoughts about Bridgerton.

Was it the perfect season? Absolutely no.

But it quite honestly is my favorite season so far because it made me realise how the enemies-to-lovers trope has rotten my brain when this is what I want to see. Gentle love, best friends becoming partners.

Things that I absolutely loved this season:

-Pen's arc: In the book she gives up whistledown to become a romance author which is nice, but now we have a legitimate journalist in the house who has proved her accuracy at such a young age. People who are worried about how she's gonna get her info now that people are guarded? Um her main sources were always the maids and footmen and she is observant enough to run a column. Plus now that everyone knows who she is, people might anonymously send her reports (as happens in journalism) which gives her SO MUCH POWER. I am a journalist and I can't stress enough how incredible that is. I know book fans expected the last speech by Colin but imo her taking full control of her decisions and willingness to face the consequences makes it so much better.

-Eloise and Pen patch up: Both of them going to each other for comfort and support when the shit hit the fan made my heart warm. When Eloise comes back, I hope she knows herself a bit better and actually brings her grand ideas to reality.

-Benedict going about his viscount duties in absence of Anthony without the rage of responsibility whilst discovering his sexuality 10/10. Man was also fully involved in all of his siblings feuds, mainly whatever the fuck Gregory and Hyacinth were upto. CUTE. Actually shoutout to all the Bridgertons, they were so perfectly chaotic.

-THe FEATHERINGTONS OMG: I am the youngest daughter of my family as well as the black sheep- so unpredictable, unconventional that no one in my family gets me. That's why I relate to Pen so much and I'll defend her to death. To see the sisters and Portia realise Pen's worth made me sob. Phillipa saying I hope my daughter becomes a writer? Cherry on cake. But Portia opening up to Pen and being vulnerable and proud at the same time was so bloody well done.

-Polin: Fans being livid about the lack of spice in part 2 (minus the incredible sex scene in ep 5) is understandable but I blame the marketing for it, not the showrunners. Over the course of part 1, we saw Colin's relationship with intimacy change drastically. His want for connection becomes a necessity and if they just jumped into angry sex without actually resolving anything, it would have ruined his character development. I think it's the incredible chemistry between Nic and Luke in general and the heavy emphasis on the horniness during the press tour left the fans understandably wanting for more. But in general, their romance felt quite authentic. The Pride and Prejudice 'dancing in the room alone' callback, goofing around in the church, Colin coming to terms with what Whistledown meant to the ton and himself, Penelope's newfound confidence thanks to Colin's frequent words of affirmation, it was all good.

Things I would change to make this season better (this is turning into a full article now but read ahead if you have been here so far):

-The bloody editing: Pardon my french but why the fuck Benedict's prolonged threesome scenes not edited out? He has a whole season coming up so I don't understand so much focus on that weirdly edited scene amidst the drama. Just one shot of establishing his pansexuality (or bi but I am hoping it's pan) would have been enough? I love Ben, he is my favorite brother but this gave me the ick. To think these 3-4 minutes could have been used to extend the last Polin intimate scene. We could have had a good 5 minutes of Pen topping Colin after the BIG REVEAL but noooo. Even the subplots should have been kept short and sweet. Unlike some fans, I am not completely against the inclusion of the Mondrich family, Cressida's back story, the build up to Benedict's and Fran's actual stories, and more. But I believe too much footage was given to these even though the show clearly focuses on one couple per season. Get your shit together Shonda, this is not 20 episode Grey's anatomy, we can't focus on EVERYONE.

-Colin's anger after the wedding: Now I understand why he didn't want to have the wedding night given the stressful circumstances but him being angry till Francesca's wedding made no sense. How I would have written the resolution would have been something like this- In the hours before Rae leaves the house at night, Colin would have been reading the letters, figuring out how Pen is so whistledown at core (like he actually does the very next day but in absence of Pen). And instead of coming into the room to get a blanket, he could have brought in his own manuscript, asking her to read it as promised and taking up her offer to let her edit. This scene was literally in the book and was so easy to adapt. I would give my left kidney to see Colin sitting near Penelope, watching her powerful writing in action. Again, no spice required, just this. This would have made Pen's 'just love me' speech to Colin so good, but alas!

-Cressida: This is the arc I am most pissed off about. Eloise's reconciliation with Pen was great but completely abandoning Cressida to misery was so outta pocket. I realise Eloise is still not a fully realised character and is barely 20 (she's just a girl) but she was always kind. If I was writing Cressida's arc, I would have had Eloise come to her rescue at the end by borrowing some money from Pen and helping Cressida escape to Vienna or better Scotland. I highly doubt Pen would have minded if she knew how similar both of their circumstances were. I detested Cressida in the books because I'll be honest the books were pretty two dimensional with no real character development and just grand gestures (I'll understand if you come for me but this is how I feel, sorry). But the show made me care for her and I wished she could have found some happiness in life.

Overall, I'll rewatch it because the tiny details were so good this season I believe I can relish those till the next season. And I'll miss Polin immensely. But Shonda please, you can do better.

Locker 212 -pt2 (Eddie Munson x reader)

You stood in front of the drama room door after the last bell, shifting your weight from foot to foot.

The hallway had emptied fast. Most kids raced to buses, part-time jobs, or parents idling in the pick-up loop, blasting the local rock station. But you weren’t most kids. You weren’t sure what you were yet in this town — and this afternoon wasn’t going to help clear that up.

Eddie’s note was still in your back pocket.

We roll at 4.

You weren’t even sure what that meant. Dice? Drugs? Both?

You hesitated, knuckles hovering near the doorknob. Then the door burst open like someone had kicked it from the inside.

A boy with curly hair and huge eyes nearly ran into you.

“Oh! Uh—sorry!” he squeaked, voice high and panicked. “You’re… not a parent, right? Please don’t tell Principal Higgins we almost set something on fire.”

“…What?”

“Dustin,” another voice groaned. “Shut up.”

You blinked as two more boys emerged from the room — one blond and twitchy, the other tall with headphones around his neck. They all paused and stared at you like you were a new NPC in their game.

“Who are you?” the blond one asked.

“New girl,” said the tall one at the same time.

You opened your mouth to reply, but before you could speak, he appeared — stepping out from the shadows behind the cracked door like some melodramatic villain.

“Stand aside, mortals,” Eddie Munson declared, arms spread. “She’s here for me.”

All three boys groaned in unison.

“Jesus Christ,” Dustin muttered.

You crossed your arms. “Did you rehearse that?”

Eddie grinned, leaning on the doorframe. “Only in my head about fourteen times.”

You weren’t sure if you wanted to smile or roll your eyes. So you did neither.

“Come on,” Eddie said, jerking his head toward the classroom. “Don’t be shy, quiet girl. We don’t bite.”

He paused. “Okay, they don’t bite. I nibble.”

“Dude,” Dustin said, scandalized.

Eddie just cackled and held the door open for you.

Inside, the classroom had been transformed. Desks were pushed to the edges. A folding table took up the center, covered in hand-drawn maps, dice, pencils, notebooks, and half-empty chip bags. There was a stack of character sheets and a black binder labeled Campaign: The Bloodstone Vault.

You took a cautious step forward.

It smelled like Cheetos and Cherry Coke. But the energy was… magnetic.

“Everyone,” Eddie said, climbing onto a desk like a rockstar, “this is our guest. She has no idea what’s going on. Let’s not scare her off in the first five minutes.”

Dustin raised a hand. “Too late.”

“Shut it, Henderson.” Eddie jumped down, grabbing a dice pouch. “She’s gonna observe today. Maybe learn a thing or two. If you impress her, maybe we’ll let her roll next week.”

You frowned. “I never said I was joining anything.”

“You didn’t say no, either.” His smile was all teeth.

One of the boys muttered, “She’s probably gonna run for the hills.”

But you didn’t run.

You sat down in the plastic chair Eddie dragged next to his, fingers nervously tracing the hem of your sleeve. You hadn’t expected this — the chaos, the color, the way the boys bickered like brothers and how Eddie ruled the table like a king holding court.

And you definitely hadn’t expected how fun it looked.

When they started the campaign — a jailbreak involving a cursed vault and a two-headed hellhound — you watched with quiet fascination as the group came alive. Voices rose and fell, dice clattered like thunder, and Eddie…

Eddie transformed.

He wasn’t just loud — he performed. Every NPC had a voice. He stood to gesture, slammed his hand down for dramatic effect, and narrated like the world he’d built lived in his lungs.

You’d never seen anyone so alive.

At one point, he leaned over and whispered, “Bored yet?”

You shook your head. “Not even close.”

He looked at you — really looked — and something softened at the edges of his smile. Like he’d just rolled a natural 20 in real life.

After the session, the others packed up fast. Dustin and the boys waved goodbye, still buzzing about near-death rolls and loot distribution. You stayed behind, tucking your hands in your sleeves.

Eddie was stuffing papers into his binder when he spoke.

“So? What’s the verdict, Miss Mysterious?”

You shrugged. “Didn’t hate it.”

He grinned. “That’s high praise from you.”

You leaned back in the chair. “You really like doing that, huh?”

“DMing? Hell yeah. It’s the only time anyone shuts up and listens to me for more than five seconds.”

You glanced around at the maps, the carefully drawn monsters, the scribbled story notes in his messy handwriting.

“It’s a lot of work,” you said. “Why do you do it?”

He paused.

Then: “Because it’s mine.”

The words were quiet. Honest. Almost too honest.

You looked at him. “I get that.”

Eddie looked at you — longer this time. Less performative. Less teasing.

“You know,” he said, voice lower now, “most new girls don’t exactly hang out with the freaks and geeks on day one.”

You snorted softly. “Most new girls don’t have a locker rivalry with the dungeon master.”

He leaned against the desk, arms crossed, watching you like he was trying to solve a riddle written in your smile.

“So what’s your story, quiet girl?”

You shrugged. “Military brat. Moved a lot. Mom’s in Germany. Dad’s… somewhere.”

“Ah,” he said. “The classic emotional damage package. I respect it.”

You laughed — unexpectedly. It startled both of you.

“Sorry,” you said. “I don’t usually—”

“It’s okay.” Eddie tilted his head. “I like that sound.”

You froze. Your stomach flipped for reasons you didn’t understand and didn’t like.

You stood up too quickly. “I should go.”

Eddie blinked. “Right. Yeah. Totally. Don’t let the freaks trap you or anything.”

You hesitated at the door. “Thanks. For… y’know. Letting me sit in.”

He shrugged, but his eyes were warm. “Anytime, quiet girl.”

You didn’t turn around as you walked out, but you could feel his eyes on you the whole way down the hall.

That night, you laid in bed, headphones over your ears, the Walkman playing a tape on low volume. The window was cracked just enough to let the breeze in, and the moonlight pooled across your floor in silver puddles.

You stared at the ceiling, trying not to smile.

You failed.

Community grumbles

So before I go on my mini rant- there is a ton of lovely people and aspects of the sims 4 community, I just...

*lets out a VERY annoyed huff after having to jump through several hoops to find an old Sims 4 cc I had on my old computer that is crucial for one of my characters I'm re-creating*

One of the things I dislike about Sims 4 culture is the "I'm just going to delete all my old stuff" thing that's grown. Whether it's because they quit sims and delete their blog, or start monetizing and delete their old free stuff (because it's 'not as good' or 'not their style' or not wanting free stuff out there)... I hate it. And it's WAY more common than it used to be. (in part because the move to communal forums or sites like modthesims to individual blogs).

Will I pester people over it? Hell no. Because yeah, they can do what they want with their CC, they made it. I'm not gonna kool-aid man into their inbox saying they can't do that or they are bad for doing it. Ew. I'm an adult.

But even if it's a broken janky mess, or not as good as your new stuff, I guarantee you somebody loved it and even if it's for their own use they probably went searching and bent over backwards to fix it so they can keep using it, or loving it just as-is. Because I've done it! Multiple times! I get the impulse because MAN I want to redo some stuff myself, but there is love and work in it that other people adore I promise you.

And for the people who leave sims and delete everything... I'm gonna be real I find it petty. Often it's because of drama, but the people who participate in drama is such a small part of the community and you are removing awesome resources for *everyone*. Even those people who loved your stuff and piled you with praises. Plus on a "personal views about creative hobbies" level; I think it's far more beneficial to the community and creativity in general to make stuff free use if you aren't involved in it anymore.

People who delete old stuff because it's free and they want to monetize everything can step on a lego tho. I'm sorry but even on a business level that's dumb because you're deleting free advertising? Or a record of your growth and ability?

Anyway I'm an old Sims 2 player grumbling about changes and just glad I found the damn outfit I needed and don't have to wait until my old computer is fixed.

so i was loosely correct about the two nepeta problem being used as an analogy for the two vriska problem. there even seems to be direct implication that sprites "go somewhere" when they realise they're no longer relevant, so it seems we are in fact heading in a direction where one of the two vriskas is gonna have to disappear forever.

the course-correction in tone over these last two chapters no longer gives me any reason to anticipate a dramatic bait-and-switch where our vriska is the one who gets sacrificed, but i guess there's still some potential drama to be milked from vriska having to "pocket" lil (vriska) forever in order to escape purgatory. or else we're heading in a more straightforward Ultimate Vriska direction, and one vriska disappearing means the two vriskas finally rejoin? which could still be a pretty dramatic sacrifice i guess.

this is all assuming there's still more of the story to tell. page 666 has already skipped over a lot, so it's entirely plausible this is where the page ends, but i have some inklings that there's a little bit more to come. the briefness of both chapter X and chapter 6 leads me to believe we're being fucked with a little bit by monthly updates being split into bimonthlies (as has happened before); chapter X ends with a "haha wouldn't it be funny if vriska was in here for another 4 years" setup which chapter 6 fails to follow through on, so it would make sense for those to have been conceived as part of one longer chapter, after which vriska spends a further 4 years figuring out how to make amends with (vriska).

since chapter 6 ends in a complete restart of the loop, maybe vriska has to redo a couple of chapters a different way to earn the true ending? this would be a good payoff for the time loop gimmick that hasn't really reared its head since the first chapter, and it's kind of the only way the chapter 4 -> X -> 6 numbering scheme makes any sense: vriska is still yet to unlock the "real" chapter 5 (which is hopefully one where davepeta actually pulls their weight). if page 666 has actually been working its way up to something, then one last slightly longer update that revisits each of / some of the previous chapters in a new light makes sense as a finale, especially given the symbolic ramifications of the 8-ball.

but again, that's all assuming this isn't just the end of it. vriska finally confronting The Parenthetical Vriska feels like a culmination of an idea that's been germinating since page 666 begun - maybe vriska needs to learn to be okay with not being involved in the story for a little bit? and the thing is that by now i am very much starting to sympathise with the people who feel like page 666 has gone on forever. spending some time away from the plot point while vriska deals with the rest of her shit off-screen would be a truly welcome change. i think i'd just be able to handle it if we got one more update that made all the issues with this update suddenly make sense, but i just am not prepared for another month+ of this damn flash i'm sorry

who the fuck is this guy?? (daima speculation post)

Because I am desperately clawing at information and checking the news every 10 seconds compulsively, I thought I'd put my energy into speculating what Dragon Ball Daima is going to bring us because oh my god i'm so excited So my object of my interest is this person, who is very clearly the same species as the Supreme Kais. Here are my very cool, totally high quality screenshots (they are not)

The safe assumption is that this is a Makaioshin, a Demon Supreme Kai, which I think is likely true and likely the route they're gonna go. All fingers point to Goku and Shin's adventure taking them to the demon realm, and the demon realm is also a topic we've seen Shin have a ton of knowledge in (some reasons unfortunate)

BUT WHO IS THIS??????

So okay I have 4 theories, some I believe a bit more than others. insert my very cool art that I spent several hours on (i did not) ---

1.) The person in the trailer is Shin's twin or sibling and poses as his natural opposite. This is one of the simpler theories and also my favorite. It would be a lot of fun for the narrative, because it brings a lot of personal weight as to why Shin would want to be a part of this journey and also possibly give some insight as to why the majin/folks from the demon realm seem to have it out for the Supreme Kais so badly anyway. We know that this person likely holds a grudge from the Buu Saga ordeal, but the contempt for the Supreme Kais seemed to predate Bibidi and Buu invading the Sacred Land of the Kais. It would be interesting if there is family drama and jealousy is a factor, maybe this person was meant to be a Supreme Kai's apprentice anyway but Shin got it instead. It could be Shin's fault that they're in the demon realm at all. The possibilities are endless! (Also I would really love on-screen lore about their species)

I also really like this theory because Beerus also has a twin brother and the design differences I find very amusing. Also it would track that Beerus's twin hates Beerus because one time he ate a cake or whatever, but Shin's twin wants to eradicate everything Shin knows and loves because he looked at him wrong or something ---

2.) There's some interdimensional timeline bullshit happening and the person on the screen is actually a Shin fusion. I feel like there'd have to be a lot of plot shenanigans for this to work, but the idea that this person is actually a fusion has been thrown around some and I think it's neat. Most notable to me is that they look VERY SIMILAR to Shin but with some key differences, mostly that he's tall and has a different nose. Eye shape and hair are pretty similar and I also found it interesting that the coat is very similar to Shin's palette in Super, though with sleeves/pants/boots matching Shin's Daima palette. It is totally possible this is just a coincidence, especially since Kibito has pretty much the same palette as Shin in Daima but they're not connected at all

So, narratively, what would this do? The timeline placement for Daima is a big point of debate because we're given conflicting information: the two biggest points people point to is Shin and Kibito being defused which only happens around Battle of Gods, and Chi-Chi and Bulma's hairstyles which we only see after Buu Saga in DBZ. It is extremely likely that Daima is canon especially because Akira Toriyama was heavily involved in the story and characters, but how it ties in to the canon right now is a big question mark. It's totally possible that a very huge fuckup happened to cause a "fall from grace" that couldn't be fixed with dragon balls, maybe even the very same adventure that Goku and Shin are on at that point in the anime, and the character we see here is trying to prevent it while working in the demon realm. It's possible he's not actually a villain either and has multiple motives. He shows contempt after seeing Shin on screen, possibly lamenting past actions. I don't really think this theory is that likely (I think a lot of the similarities can just be explained with someone who knows Shin), but it goes down a thread that I think is pretty cool. ---

3.) Entirely new character with no connection to Shin other than mirrored occupations. I think this is the most boring option and probably also the most likely one. I'm down for new characters but I just find them having a more personal connection would be way more fun. Still, he seems to hate Shin (and it's likely that Shin knows him) so it'll be interesting to see what's going on there!

Even if this theory is the one that's the most likely, I still think it'll be a great time and I think would still open an avenue for us to learn a lot more about the Supreme Kais, the canon Demon Supreme Kais, and the demon realm as a whole. I really hope they can deal with this in a great way that doesn't cause any imbalance with the God of Creation/God of Destruction stuff ---

4.) Shin and this character are LITERALLY two halves of the same person who changed in their environments, kind of like Kami and Demon King Piccolo. I feel like this isn't the most likely route either because it would kind of dampen Kami and Piccolo's whole thing AND it would make no sense because Zamasu is an evil little bastard and their species is shown to have their own morals/values on a spectrum of good/evil, but I think this opens up an interesting can of worms that maybe the Supreme Kai's species can split themselves in order to fulfill certain roles for the universe (considering they can also split entire planets/duplicate life)

No one I know of has talked about this and it's driving me crazy but I think there's going to be a subplot about Demon King Piccolo for specifically for two reasons: 1.) BLUE DRAGON BALLS 2.) This screenshot

WHO THE FUCK IS THIS DUDE????? THAT LOOKS LIKE A NAMEKIAN TO ME Also he's DEMON KING Piccolo, he was the demon king (I assume) before Dabura, who our mystery character likely served as well. However, it's also totally possible I'm speaking out of my ass and Demon King(tm) is just a nickname for Kami's other half pre-our Piccolo, but I think that would be kind of lame so I like to think he was an actual demon king.

This is to say, maybe Kami learned how to expel all the evil from himself by seeking guidance of the other gods, and it's something that the Supreme Kais have done before and kind of need to do to keep tabs on the demon realm. OR this is just Namekian stuff and I desperately want to combine lore. You decide!

It is certainly fun to think about though! I think even if this route is possible, it doesn't mean that Supreme Kais are always going to be inherently good; their experiences shape them, and we also see this happen with Kami's evil half in the newly reborn Piccolo. Characters born to be evil do not necessarily stay evil, and characters born to be good do not necessarily stay good. Even so, I think this route would kind of fuck a lot of balance that the story tries to establish already so I think the Namekian stuff will probably be separate from who this character is. Still, I wanted to throw this out there

IN CONCLUSION... I dunno I still think the twin route is the most fun but I think there are really interesting plot threads that could happen. I feel like Daima will be lore heavy even though it's framed as a lighthearted adventure, so I hope to learn a lot. I'm trying to keep my expectations in check, but when news is scarce I can't help but speculate the shit out of what we have. Feel free to let me know what y'all think!

Favorite character: Buck, Ravi, and May

Character you relate to the most: Buck

Favorite episode: Jinx (I love when they lean into the comedy) also the rest of season 4 is so good. Peak Michael/Bobby besties, involving the dispatchers in their own highlight episode when Sue gets hit, Taylor and Buck at their best imo (ignoring the kiss at the end of the season).

Hottest take: They should’ve had Hen choose to stay in med school in season 6 and become a doctor. Keep her at the firehouse part time until she graduates. They made this whole big thing of her talking to her mom in season 4 about how the world needs more people like her as doctors and then had her go against that two seasons later. But they also missed out on future plot opportunities with Hen in the hospital. 911 is at its best when they include side characters and this would’ve given them the chance to complete the process that happens when you call 911. Dispatchers -> Police/Fire/Paramedics -> Hospital. They could still have her interact with the firefam and Athena when they bring people into the ER (in my mind she becomes a trauma surgeon or some kind of ER doc). I also think it would’ve opened the door for Buck to start taking on more responsibility and pave the way to being interim captain while Bobby’s gone. I think it would’ve been more interesting career development for Buck and Hen. Also Chimney in my mind should continue being an academy instructor after bringing Ravi back in season 6. And they could’ve moved Eddie over to paramedic to fill Hen’s spot and brought in a new probie so we could see Ravi move out of being the probie. Plus they would’ve had the opportunity to bring in another firefighter to shake up the dynamic. (Wow big feelings, I didn’t really have that much thought out until I started writing)

Favorite Lone Star character: Paul

Favorite ship: Bucktommy & Henren

Most underrated character: All of the dispatchers other than Maddie and Josh. Specifically like Terry, Linda, and Sue. Bring back asking Terry for things when you need help or to look at call logs. Also I want to know if Linda and Eddie still exchange recipes. And Sue as a mentor to Maddie is a dynamic I really love.

Most underrated ship: this already gets talked about but Henren seems to fall through the cracks of appreciation sometimes. Also in my mind Lucy and Taylor are friends with benefits who end up falling in love and don’t have kids but are the career driven fun aunts in their respective families.

One thing you would love to see: I’m gonna have to agree with @sherlockismarvelous9-1-1 and say a Rookie crossover. I think they have pretty similar vibes in the balance of action, drama, and comedy. Plus they both have lost or are about to lose their crossover shows (I’m expecting the new 911 spinoff to kinda be like Lone Star for the most part where there’s essentially no meaningful overlap just little cameos and Easter eggs for people who watch both). I want the rookie crossover to be more like the Chicagoverse where it’s multi-part episodes that get you to watch the other show to understand how it ended. Plus have all of the characters involved in the whole event and further impacts in the plot than just a mention of it in the next episode. It would also be good cross promotion for the two.

Astro observations: celebrity edition part 2 aka latest news roundup

⭐️ Dua Lipa announced on her instagram that she's actually a Gemini rising as opposed to Libra. Now my Gemini detector told me that ages ago but I accepted the Libra rising just because it's my default token "plain good looking and polite" sign BUT it actually now makes much more sense in terms of house placements. Her Venus is now cazimi in the 3rd house - house associated with creative writing and thinking. The ever-changing and fast-moving Mercury is now in her 4th house of family and home situation and she's actually been always moving a lot between England and Albania. That healthy domicile Mercury as well as the Sun-Venus conjunction in the 3rd shows her close connection to family overall.

Funnily enough, her discovery took place during Mercury station in her 4th house. Talk about finding out your true roots (astrological, in that instance).

⭐️ We also now have the birth time of Elon Musk, who turns out to be a Cancer rising. Jupiter in his 5th house of children now makes perfect sense with his 11 kids (and probably counting).

⭐️ If you're wondering why Ariana Grande is the way she is, look no further than Moon conjunct Jupiter - aka her 7th house ruler multiply; as well as both being square to the Sun. Usually Sun square Jupiter can point to legal issues and excess while Sun square Moon often points to broken families. Now add that together and you have… a homewrecker, yaaay!

⭐️ I was thinking a lot about Blink 182 and Tom Delonge (his chart resembles mine a bit) due to him rejoining the band last year and now releasing a new Blink album. Natally, he has a retrograde Gemini Mars so I looked at his progressed chart to see the stationary period. Turns out his progressed Mars stationed direct early 2014, followed by progressed Sun entering Aquarius. Early following year the band announced that he left permanently. One of the things he focused on was research on the UFOs and work with the government. Of course, keep in mind progressed Mars stations for quite a while and his issues with the band lasted throughout the whole 2014 so it makes sense that the final split occured a year later. And why Mars? Well it can literally speak about our focus in life and our direction - where we put our energy. Not to mention Mars rules his MC so it brought him a massive turn in his career. So makes sense.

⭐️ Britney Spears just released a memoir book. Putting aside the questionable fact on who really wrote it, it stirred up a lot of drama. Her chart is one big mine but today I'm only focusing on current transits: she just had an eclipse in her first house of Libra. That eclipse landed right on her Pluto, which natally squares Venus (talking about toxic relationships and exposing them). Pluto itself is making last hits to those degrees as well as it's stationing direct in the late Capricorn. Interestingly I think Jupiter being in her 8th house can point to this as well - it lights up all the secrets and talks about working on past traumas. Now, you're also probably thinking, why was she involved with so many iffy people in her life? A lot of things in her chart point to that but what always struck me was her 7th house ruler - a malefic Mars - being in her 12th house of enemies. And it squares Neptune so they're also liars and exploiters.

⭐️ There's been A TON of celebrity breakups during this Venus retrograde season but I'm gonna quickly focus on Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner because their charts are an interesting example. Their synastry is mostly having planets in sister signs but this also means that if one of them gets hit with a transit, so is the other. Involve Saturn in that transit and you get trouble. Saturn is currently in early Pisces, where Sophie has some of her planets in the 12th house (loss, enemies). Her Mars (disputes, cutting) is at 4° of Pisces while Joe's Mars is at 7° Virgo - right opposite that. Saturn transit stirred up some proper drama: and Saturn is also coldness, being restrained and cut off. On top of that they also have their rising signs in the opposite signs of Aries and Libra and we just started having eclipses in those signs earlier this year.

Not to mention Joe's Leo Sun got hit by Venus retrograde and a Uranus square. Among other stuff.

FUN FACT: according to my research they met for the first time in October of 2016 when Jupiter was in Libra. So, interestingly, not only they had Jupiter going through their angles but Jupiter in their Davidson chart is in Libra.

⭐️ Taylor Swift is currently going through her 10th house profection year (Leo). It would make sense then that her career would take a turn this year considering that Venus was retrograding in Leo. Of course as it turned out she had a massive succes with her ongoing world tour, which is said to become the highest grossing tour of all time.

⭐️ A Vogue article popped up about Rita Ora's and Taika Waititi's wedding that took place a year earlier (they kept all the info and date private until now). Jupiter played a huge role in them getting married (as it often does, especially for a couple like them, who have it strong in their charts, which I wrote about HERE). At the time of their wedding Jupiter was at 8° Aries, which for Rita is that sweet spot between her Sagittarius Sun and Venus (4° and 10° respectively) and Leo Jupiter (13°) - as it completed a grand trine in her chart. Transiting Sun was also 12° of Leo, highlighting that trine even more.

Man I love astrology.

For Taika it was pretty prominent as well although his Jupiter aspects were more sign-based. He had a Jupiter return; his Moon is somewhere in the middle of Sagittarius so he received these fire trines as well. Interestingly, at the time of the wedding Saturn was at 22° Aquarius - exactly opposite his Leo Sun but also sextile his natal Jupiter. So for him it had a bit of a Saturnian flavour that called for stability and maturity.

⭐️ Similarly, I just read the other day that Frances Bean Cobain got married earlier this month. She has a Venus-Jupiter conjunction on top of her Virgo ascendant (interestingly Kurt had the trine between Venus and Jupiter - so seems like a family pattern). Also interestingly, transiting Jupiter is currently trining both her Venus and Jupiter (on the day of the wedding it was trining Venus exact), thereby her natal pattern got repeated. Jupiter is also her 7th house ruler.

Her now husband, Riley Hawk is having a nice transit of that Jupiter over his Taurus Moon - and remember, Moon rules the women in your family as well as your wife.
