Driving Success: Essential Marketing & User Acquisition Strategies for Your New Taxi App
Launching a successful taxi app in today’s ride-hailing market is an exciting yet challenging goal. Visionary entrepreneurs invest heavily in developing robust, user-friendly apps with powerful backend systems, often integrating advanced AI and machine learning technologies to enhance ride-hailing experiences. However, building a great product is only half the battle. The real key to success lies in mastering taxi app marketing and implementing sophisticated user acquisition strategies that effectively attract both riders and drivers.
In 2025, the mobile transportation industry faces fierce competition, evolving user expectations, and the complexities of managing two-sided marketplaces. New entrants must navigate these challenges with a comprehensive growth strategy. This guide provides a strategic blueprint to help businesses transform their innovative ideas into thriving operations, covering crucial areas such as launching customized carpool software and optimizing taxi dispatch systems for peak performance and scalability in a highly competitive landscape.
1. Pre-Launch & Launch Mastery: Laying the Groundwork for Impact
A resounding taxi app launch isn't a single event; it's the crescendo of meticulous planning and strategic pre-release efforts. Success begins long before your app hits the app stores.
Local Launchpad: Mapping Your Taxi App's Initial Service Area for Maximum Impact
Choosing your initial operational territory is a make-or-break decision for any taxi app or ridesharing app. This requires more than just drawing a circle on a map; it demands in-depth market intelligence.
Demographic Research: Identify your target users—commuters, students, leisure travelers, or families—using census data, economic reports, and tools like Nielsen to understand income levels, smartphone usage, commuting habits, and public transport reliance. For drivers, analyze local employment rates, wages, and gig economy trends to develop effective acquisition strategies and make your rideshare app stand out.
Traffic Pattern Analysis: Use big data, transport authority statistics, telecom mobility data, and tools like Google Maps API to map peak travel times, busy routes, nightlife hotspots, and underserved areas. This insight helps optimize driver positioning and marketing efforts for taxi dispatch or carpool apps.
Competitive Landscape Mapping: Conduct a detailed SWOT analysis of competitors beyond just naming Uber or Lyft. Study their apps, pricing, driver commissions, reviews, and marketing to identify service gaps such as poor support or limited coverage. These insights help define your unique selling points and guide app development.
Initial Pricing Strategy: Base your pricing on competitive analysis and cost modeling. Consider dynamic pricing while complying with local regulations. Use A/B testing for introductory offers or bundles to attract early adopters. Smart initial pricing is a key differentiator, especially for Uber clone apps, and understanding taxi dispatch system costs is essential for long-term strategy.
Viral Voltage: How to Design a Pre-Launch Referral Program That Actually Gets People Talking (and Signing Up!)
Harnessing word-of-mouth before your app even goes live can generate explosive growth. This is particularly effective for ride-sharing app concepts.
Detailed Mechanics: Implement a dual-sided incentive system. For instance, both the referrer (who shares your app) and the referred individual receive a substantial benefit upon sign-up and their first completed ride. This could be free ride credits, significant discounts, or even cash bonuses. Transparency about the terms is crucial for ensuring a genuine best carpool program.
Tiered Incentives & Gamification: Elevate engagement by offering escalating rewards for super-referrers. For example, after referring 5 users, they unlock a higher discount rate; after 10, they get exclusive access to beta features or premium customer support. Introduce a leaderboard to foster friendly competition among referrers in your carpooling app.
Effortless Sharing: Make it incredibly easy for users to share their unique referral code or link. Provide readily available sharing options via social media integrations (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), direct messaging, and email. Craft pre-written, compelling messages that highlight your app's unique benefits.
Psychology of Sharing: Tap into intrinsic motivators beyond just monetary gain. Appeal to users' desire for social currency ("Be the first to share this amazing new app!"), altruism ("Help your friends save money on rides!"), or self-interest (the dual-sided reward). Create a sense of exclusivity for early participants who get to be part of something new and exciting. This strategy can be applied to any ridesharing app looking to launch your branded UberPool-like rideshare software app.
Crisis-Proofing Your Launch: Anticipating and Mitigating Common Hurdles for New Ride-Hailing Apps
No launch is perfectly smooth. Preparing for potential pitfalls can save your taxi app from early setbacks, especially for complex platforms developed by a rideshare app development company.
Technical Glitches: Conduct extensive pre-launch stress testing for your taxi booking app development. Simulate peak user loads to ensure your servers can handle demand. Thoroughly test payment gateway integrations, GPS accuracy, and real-time mapping functionality. Have a dedicated technical support team on standby for immediate bug fixes and issue resolution. Implement a robust monitoring system for immediate alerts.
PR Challenges: Develop a comprehensive crisis communication plan. Anticipate potential negative press, such as initial service hiccups, driver shortages, or aggressive competitor smear campaigns. Prepare pre-approved holding statements, designate a single, credible spokesperson, and establish clear channels for internal and external communication. Proactive communication and transparency can turn a potential crisis into a testament to your responsiveness.
Unexpected Competition: Continuously monitor competitor moves. Be ready to deploy agile marketing campaigns if a rival launches a new feature, offers aggressive promotions, or enters your specific niche, like carshare app services or even bike rental. Have a rapid response team that can analyze competitive shifts and propose immediate counter-strategies beyond just price matching, focusing on your USP.
Contingency Plans: Develop "Plan B" scenarios for critical metrics. What if the initial driver acquisition for the taxi app is lower than expected? How will you adjust your incentives or marketing spend? What if rider acquisition is slow? Consider rapid adjustments to pricing, targeting, or even a temporary shift in geographical focus. This foresight is crucial for any software for a taxi business.
2. Fueling Growth: User & Driver Acquisition (Deeper Dives)
Once the app is built and the launch strategy is in place, the real work of attracting and retaining your two core user bases begins for any software taxi dispatch system.
The Driver's Journey: Crafting an Onboarding Experience That Converts Prospects into Loyal Fleet Members
Your drivers are the engine of your taxi app. A seamless and supportive onboarding process is paramount for a driver acquisition taxi app, ensuring you build a reliable fleet and attract the best rideshare apps for drivers.
Streamlined Sign-Up: Minimize friction in the application process. Allow for quick, mobile-friendly registration. Provide clear instructions for documentation uploads (driver's license, vehicle registration, insurance) and integrate secure, efficient background check services. This applies whether they are driving for a standard taxi cab dispatch system or a dedicated driver (vehicle owner) app for a ride-sharing platform.
Comprehensive Verification & Training: Ensure all drivers meet stringent safety and legal requirements. Offer flexible training options—online modules, video tutorials, and potentially in-person sessions for practical skills. Cover topics like using the taxi driver application effectively, navigating the city, customer service best practices, and emergency protocols.
First-Ride Support: Offer dedicated support for a driver's initial rides. This could involve a mentorship program with experienced drivers, a dedicated hotline for immediate questions, or in-app prompts and checklists to guide them.
AI-Driven Driver Matching & Support: Leverage Use AI-driven driver matching to pair drivers with rides based on factors beyond proximity, such as earnings potential, vehicle type, and driver preferences. AI also provides predictive analytics, highlighting high-demand zones and peak times to optimize driver efficiency and earnings, boosting satisfaction and loyalty.
Retention Rhapsody: Leveraging Gamification and Community Building to Keep Riders Coming Back
Beyond just getting them to download, the goal is to make your app an indispensable part of their daily routine for passenger acquisition taxi apps and long-term customer retention taxi apps. This is where your taxi software can truly shine.
Gamification: Introduce elements that make using your app fun and rewarding. Implement loyalty programs with tiered rewards (e.g., earn points for every ride, unlock premium features). Introduce in-app challenges (e.g., "Take 5 rides this week, get a bonus!") that offer personalized badges or leaderboards for active users on your carpool app or ridesharing app.
Personalized Badges & Milestones: Reward users for specific actions or milestones (e.g., "Eco Warrior" for choosing sustainable rides, "Night Owl" for frequent late-night travel, or "Frequent Commuter" for daily trips). These small gestures build engagement.
Community Features: While not for all apps, consider light community features like an in-app forum for carpool-and-ride-sharing-app users or localized social media groups where users can share experiences and offer feedback. This fosters a sense of belonging and strengthens your user engagement strategy.
Proactive Engagement: Use AI-driven user engagement to send personalized notifications for upcoming events, personalized discounts based on past ride history, or reminders about loyalty points.
De-Risking the Ride: Building Trust Through Transparency and Safety Features in Your Acquisition Messaging
Safety and trust are paramount in the ride-hailing industry. Make them a cornerstone of your taxi app marketing and core to any taxi booking app development company.
Communicate Protocols Clearly: Be transparent about your rigorous driver vetting processes (background checks, driving record reviews), regular vehicle inspections, and comprehensive insurance policies. Feature these prominently in your marketing materials, on your website, and within the app.
Highlight In-App Safety Features: Promote critical functionalities such as
SOS Button: Instant access to emergency services or support.
Trip Sharing: Share live ride status with trusted contacts.
ID Verification: Secure logins via multi-factor or facial recognition.
24/7 Support: Help available anytime, day or night.
Transparency in Pricing: Be upfront about surge charges and fare calculations to build trust.
Visual Trust Signals: Use testimonials, top driver ratings, and security badges to build trust. Employ AI-driven fraud detection to keep the platform secure, ensuring safety for both users and drivers—a vital feature of modern taxi software.
3. Digital Powerhouses: Key Marketing Channels
Beyond general strategies, specific digital marketing for app channels will be your workhorses for ride-hailing app growth.
Beyond the Click: Optimizing Your Landing Pages and Conversion Funnels for Paid Taxi App Campaigns
Your paid advertisements, whether Google Ads for taxi apps or Facebook Ads for taxi apps, are only as effective as the conversion path they lead to.
High-Converting Elements: Landing pages must be lightning-fast, mobile-responsive, and have a clear, compelling call to action (e.g., "Download Now," "Sign Up to Drive"). Use concise, benefit-driven headlines, persuasive imagery, and social proof (testimonials, trust badges). Minimize distractions.
Conversion Funnels: Map the entire user journey from the initial ad click through app download, sign-up, and the first completed ride. Utilize analytics tools to identify bottlenecks or drop-off points at each stage. A/B test different versions of your landing pages, ad creatives, and even in-app onboarding flows to continuously optimize conversion rates.
Retargeting Strategies: Don't let interested users slip away. Implement retargeting campaigns to re-engage individuals who visited your landing page but didn't download the app or who downloaded but didn't complete their first ride. Personalize these retargeting ads based on their last interaction. This is key for any rideshare app development company.
The Power of Local SEO: Dominating Google My Business and Local Listings for Taxi App Visibility
For a location-based service, appearing prominently in local searches is paramount for organic user acquisition strategies.
Google My Business (GMB) Optimization: This is your digital storefront. Claim and fully optimize your GMB profile with accurate business hours, phone number, website, and a compelling description. Upload high-quality photos of your vehicles and team. Actively utilize the GMB Q&A section and post updates about promotions or service changes.
Local Listings & Citations: Ensure consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) information across all major online directories (Yelp, TripAdvisor, local chambers of commerce, industry-specific listing sites). This is vital for any software taxi dispatch operation.
Review Management: Actively solicit and respond to all reviews on GMB and other platforms. Positive reviews significantly boost your local search ranking for queries like "taxi near me" or "ride-hailing [city name]." Address negative feedback professionally and promptly, demonstrating your commitment to customer satisfaction.
Visual Storytelling: Crafting Compelling Video Ads for Your Ride-Hailing App on Social Media
Video content is highly engaging and perfect for showcasing the user experience on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
Compelling Hooks: Capture attention in 3 seconds with a relatable problem and solution.
Concise Messaging: Keep videos 15-60 seconds, highlighting 1–2 key benefits with text overlays.
Clear CTAs: End with strong calls to action like “Download Now” or “Sign Up.”
Platform Adaptation: Customize format, music, and messaging for each social platform and target audience.
4. The AI Edge & Expanded Mobility: Driving Smart Growth
Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a luxury but a fundamental necessity for competitive ride-hailing app growth, transforming every facet of marketing and operations. Beyond AI, the mobility sector is expanding rapidly into diverse solutions.
Personalized Marketing AI: AI in taxi apps analyzes vast amounts of user data (ride history, preferred times, locations, device type, past promotions engaged with) to create highly granular user segments. This enables personalized marketing AI to deliver hyper-targeted promotions, notifications, and ride suggestions ("50% off your next ride from work," "Exclusive weekend discount to your favorite restaurant"). This level of personalization significantly boosts conversion rates and fosters AI-driven user engagement.
Predictive Analytics for Demand: Leveraging machine learning for ride-hailing, your app can process historical data (time of day, day of week, weather, local events, public holidays) and real-time inputs (traffic, current driver availability) to predict demand surges and lulls with remarkable accuracy. This allows smart dispatch systems (a crucial AI application and part of the best taxi dispatch software) to proactively position drivers, offer dynamic incentives to drivers in low-supply areas, and manage surge pricing intelligently.
AI-Powered Driver Matching: Beyond simple proximity, AI-powered driver- matching algorithms consider a multitude of factors: the driver's current rating, historical performance, vehicle type, estimated earnings for the driver on a specific route, and even driver preferences (e.g., avoiding tolls). This optimization leads to faster pickups, more efficient routes, and higher driver satisfaction, directly improving overall service quality. This sophisticated matching is a hallmark of any truly intelligent rideshare matching system.
AI for Dynamic Pricing: Sophisticated AI for dynamic pricing models can adjust fares in real time. These models factor in demand, supply, traffic conditions, competitor pricing, and even weather. This ensures optimal revenue generation during peak times while maintaining competitiveness during off-peak hours. Clear communication about surge pricing, potentially justified by AI solutions predicting high demand, is crucial for user acceptance.
Data Science for App Growth: The immense data generated by a taxi app is a goldmine. Data science for app growth teams, armed with AI solutions, can conduct advanced A/B testing, identify high-value customer segments, predict user churn, and uncover unexpected correlations that inform marketing strategies. This data-driven approach allows for precise marketing budget allocation for maximum ROI.
AI-driven Fraud Detection: AI algorithms constantly monitor transaction patterns, ride behaviors, and driver actions to identify and flag suspicious activities (e.g., unusual ride cancellations, payment fraud attempts, account sharing). This robust security infrastructure builds immense trust among both riders and drivers, a key factor for customer retention in a taxi app.
4.1. Expanding Horizons: The Mobility Ecosystem
Beyond traditional taxis and ride-hailing, the mobility sector is diversifying rapidly.
Super Apps: The future sees mobility services integrating into a super app—a single platform offering a multitude of services. This could include not just ride-hailing, but also food delivery, payment solutions, and other daily necessities.
Micromobility: This growing segment includes solutions for bike rental and scooter sharing. Developing apps for micromobility services caters to short-distance travel within urban environments.
Car Sharing System Enhanced: Beyond simple rentals, advanced carshare app Platforms offer peer-to-peer car sharing or corporate fleet management, blurring the lines between rental and sharing. This often involves intricate car rental software.
Specialized Dispatch & Logistics: The principles of taxi dispatch software extend to other logistics. This includes trucking dispatch software for freight management and shuttle software for corporate, campus, or airport shuttle services.
Intercity and Outstation Services: The need for long-distance travel is also being addressed. Solutions for intercity ridesharing and outstation carpooling cater to users seeking affordable and convenient travel between cities.
Build Your Brand: Whether you create your own rideshare app from scratch or launch your branded UberPool-like rideshare software app, the emphasis is on establishing a unique brand identity in this competitive market.
5. Measuring Success: Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
To ensure continuous ride-hailing app growth, rigorous tracking and analysis of critical taxi app KPIs are non-negotiable. This data informs every strategic decision and helps refine your user acquisition strategies.
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): Cost to acquire riders/drivers per channel; keep it low for profitability.
Lifetime Value (LTV): Total revenue per user; should exceed CAC for sustainable growth.
Conversion Rates: Track funnel stages from download to repeat rides; fix drop-offs.
Retention Rate & Churn Rate: Measure how many users stay or leave after the first ride.
Driver Utilization Rate: Percent of time drivers are active; higher means better profits.
Acceptance Rate: Share of ride requests accepted; low rates signal supply issues.
Ride Completion Rate: Percent of booked rides completed; shows reliability.
Net Promoter Score (NPS) / Customer Satisfaction (CSAT): Direct feedback from users to improve service quality.
Conclusion: Your Blueprint for Market Leadership in On-Demand Mobility
Launching a taxi or mobility app in 2025 demands more than great development—it requires data-driven marketing, rider and driver balance, and AI-powered insights. By carefully planning your pre-launch, leveraging digital channels, and optimizing with KPIs, you can stand out in a competitive market. “I don't ask you to love me always like this, but I ask you to remember. Somewhere inside me there'll always be the person I am tonight.”
—F. Scott Fitzgerald, Tender Is the Night
Jakarta, Indonesia. An aerial view of a sea of skyscrapers shining in the night. Joel blinks drowsily as he spams the channel button several numbers ahead. If he lingered a second longer, he would’ve seen the overseas news coverage shift to a bustling hospital ward.
A black and white Western plays now; two cowboys fire their weapons in a quick draw. Gunfire from surrounding spectators ensues in a crisp, rapid spray. Sarah pads down the stairs just as a wounded man tumbles backwards over a second-story balcony.
“Dad?” she murmurs.
Joel mutes the movie at her tone. “Everything okay? What’s up?”
She nervously plays with one of her springy curls. “I forgot I had a project due tomorrow,” she says. Joel blinks a few times as if he misheard her. “For Ms. Johnson’s science class. We have to make a 3D plant cell model.”
That prompts him to sit up from his reclined position, resting his forearms on his thighs. “Sarah Noelle.”
“The substitute teacher forgot to remind us today,” she reasons.
“C’mere.” She shuffles closer with big, doe eyes. “I ask if you’ve got homework every day after school, and what did you tell me earlier this evening? Bet you knew about this a week ago.” When her face falls even more, Joel resists his knee-jerk reaction to backtrack and comfort her.
“You gotta stay on top of stuff like this, bug,” he says. “Today it’s a project, but tomorrow it’s rent or a write-up for your job. Can’t hold off on stuff till the last minute.”
“I’m sorry.”
His knees pop as he pushes to his feet. “Don’t gotta apologize,” he says lightly. “We got supplies here?”
“Just stuff like crayons and markers,” she says.
Joel’s chest deflates with a heavy sigh, and Sarah bites her lip as he runs a hand through his hair. There’s more annoyance in his eyes than frustration, but she can understand that. It’s a quarter past nine, and it’s been a long day.
He grabs his phone and hands it to her. After years of owning a BlackBerry, he’d finally switched to an iPhone.
“See what places are open.” She nods gratefully. “And I ain’t mad at ya, alright? We all forget things sometimes.”
Sarah watches as he heads upstairs to change out of his pajama pants. As soon as he disappears, she taps into the message app.
Joel (9:17 PM) Are you awake?
You (9:19 PM) Sarah?
Joel (9:19 PM) Yeah it’s me! I forgot I had a project due!!! You know about plant cells right?
You (9:20 PM) Loaded question. I know enough, lol.
Joel (9:21 PM) Can you come help?? We’re about to go out for supplies
The night air is warm. Sarah trails Joel to the truck but doesn’t get in after rounding to her side. He watches her through the window as he starts the engine. She’s staring next door to Cal’s house, and he doesn’t know why until you slip out the front door, ready for an adventure.
It’s September now, and they’d attended your graduation back in May.
You’d moved back in with your dad a week ago. The two of you had butt heads in the time leading up to your college departure, and you didn’t see a lot of each other during those four years. You were finally starting to come back around. So much of his strictness and rigidity was born out of love, even if that truth got muddled along the way.
Not only was the move a means of saving money and rekindling your relationship, but Austin had way more opportunities than the college town you left.
Joel’s eyes fall on you as you slide into the passenger seat, all nonchalance and ease. A pleasant, floral scent drifts his way when you bend forward to set your purse on the floor.
“Long time no see, stranger,” you say.
“Guess somebody got phoned as backup,” Joel says as he pulls out of the driveway, one arm resting on the center console.
“Can’t blame a girl for employing all her resources.” You peek back at Sarah and share a smile.
Joel huffs an amused sound. “Cal asleep yet?”
“He’s hanging on by a thread,” you say. “Told him I was going out to smoke pot at the lake like old times.”
Sarah snorts at that, and Joel meets her gaze in the rearview with an unimpressed look.
“Dad, I’m twelve, not two.”
“Y'all are gonna make me go gray.”
“What are you, forty-five, forty-six?" you ask. "I’m pretty sure that’s already starting to happen.” You reach over to playfully twirl a strand of hair at the nape of his neck.
His shoulders square as he fights a shiver. Sarah is none the wiser as her laughter carries from the backseat.
•••
Broad-shouldered in the dim light of the kitchen, Joel stands at the sink, washing dried glue from his hands as he hums a low tune. The gentle rush of the water prevents him from hearing you as you tiptoe up behind him. Sarah went to bed fifteen minutes ago when the two of you insisted you’d handle cleanup. All things considered, the cell model turned out decent for such a late notice.
Joel jerks when you poke a finger into his side. You’re fixed with an exasperated glare as you withdraw your touch with an innocent smile. Then, foolishly, he redirects his gaze back to the sink. You promptly deliver a poke to his other side that makes him curl in on himself.
“Would you quit that?” he asks, voice tight with the threat of a laugh.
“No.”
Even then, he smiles as he dries his hands. You rest your forearms on the island and watch. When his eyes find yours, there’s a weight to your gaze. Joel doesn’t fight against the flutter in his gut. It’d been a couple of years since he had.
“Thanks for comin’ over for her,” he says.
“You know I’ve always gotta pull through for my little bestie.”
Joel chuckles as he rubs the back of his neck, eyes roving over you. “Never got to properly ask how you’ve been settling in,” he says. “Got stuck talkin’ about chloroplasts and ribosomes all night.”
“And the endoplasmic reticulum,” you quip.
“Can’t forget the good ole ER.”
The two of you share a hushed laugh. The crinkles around Joel’s eyes make your chest expand with a warmth that no longer feels so wrong.
“I’m good, though,” you say. “Even though I have no idea what the hell I’m doing half the time.” The air shifts as you sigh.
“I don’t think any of us do,” Joel hums.
“It’ll get better,” he assures. “Wish I could tell you when, but one day you’ll look around and realize you’ve got a better grasp on things.” He thinks for a moment. “On who you are and who you wanna be.”
The gruff honesty of Joel’s words makes it easy to believe him.
After a few quiet beats, he twists an arm behind himself to scratch a tricky spot on his back. Unfortunately, his inflexibility hinders him.
Wordless, you step up alongside him and raise your hand to rake your fingernails just beneath his shoulder blades. He immediately relaxes with a grateful exhale. Your touch remains after the itch dissipates, shifting into steady passes of your palm along his back. Joel can’t find it in himself to break the still intimacy of the moment. When he does, the sense of loss is immediate.
“Appreciate it.” Joel clears his throat. “It’s gettin’ pretty late.”
Outside, there’s a quiet symphony of insects. A few moths fly around Joel’s porch light. The wood creaks under your footsteps as you head towards the stairs. Joel stops at the top, while you step down. He expects you to continue to your house, but you turn around to peer up at him with those knowning eyes of yours.
“Go on,” he encourages, tapping your chin with a gentle knuckle.
Your lashes flutter.
“Go.” His voice comes out thicker.
“Alright, alright.” The smallest smile curls at your lips. “I’m going, Mr. Miller.”
•••
Every once in a while, a night came along that reminded him that sleeplessness was never too far away. Never did he suspect it’d be because of Cal’s kid. Autopilot gets him through his morning routine, and, before long, he stands in a sunlit kitchen.
The coffee machine whirs as it fills his mug, the rich, nutty smell slowly permeating the air.
Sarah trudges over to snake her arms around his waist. He smiles when she nuzzles her face into his shirt with a sleepy groan, breathing him in.
Joel blows into the mug and takes a small sip. She holds out a hand for it next.
“S’hot,” he warns, but passes it over. A baby sip is enough to make her face scrunch in distaste. “Still no bueno?”
She shakes her head. He chuckles and squeezes her. “Uncle Tommy should be here soon. We’ll grab you a bite to eat on the way.”
Sarah makes a satisfied sound, steals his phone from his front pocket, and stalks away.
Joel (7:23 AM) It was really good seeing you last night
You (8:19 AM) Likewise <3
You hadn’t bothered asking if it was Sarah. Deep down, you knew it was, but you would’ve welcomed those words from Joel all the same, if not more.
He’s the one who ends up reading your reply.
•••
Come late Monday afternoon, the Miller brothers finish setting the last fence panel as fluffy white clouds roll in to shield Austin from the full brunt of the sun.
Back at home, Joel showers and eats leftovers. When he hits the living room again, he steps on a dainty hoop earring that he realizes is his ticket back to you.
A helicopter flies overhead as you get out of your car. The teenage boys playing basketball in the cul-de-sac gawk up towards the sky with exaggerated wonder. A presence wades into your periphery once you reach your trunk.
Joel stops a few yards away, still standing in the plush grass between your lots.
“I got it.” He gestures to the grocery bags and waits for your permission.
You step aside. “Thanks.”
Cal hasn’t made it home from the office yet, but inside, Joel moves as if his friend is bound to round the corner at any moment. After setting all the grocery bags on the kitchen island, he fishes into his pocket.
“Think I have something of yours.” He presents the earring in the palm of his large hand. “Look familiar?”
Your eyebrows shoot up. “Yes, oh my gosh.” You take it from him without hesitation. “Dude.” Joel's eyes soften as you gush. “Thank you so much.”
“‘Course.” He rubs his palms against his jeans and takes an easy look around. It’s quiet.
“How was work?” Your tone is genuine.
“Good. We, uh, had a fence job,” Joel starts with a shrug. “You know that new housing development on the other side of the lake?” He points in the general direction, and you nod. “A couple just moved in. Real nice lot.”
He gets a shy look about him for expounding, but you only smile as you unbag the groceries. “I think I’d tap out after getting the first couple pickets into the ground,” you admit.
“S’just patience and practice.”
“Imagine someone like me building a fence.” You motion a sorry hand down your body.
He takes you in. Perhaps, more earnestly than he should. You’re wearing a tennis skirt and a baby tee. Your skin looks soft. The air shifts.
As you grab a can of tomato paste to take to the pantry, you let your backside brush against Joel’s crotch with more pressure than necessary. He instinctively hovers a hand at your waist but takes a respectful step back as his cheeks warm.
After you put everything away, you study him. “I appreciate everything you said the other night about things getting better,” you say. “Sarah’s lucky to have you.”
Joel tucks his head down as if the compliment will fly over him and stick to something else. But it hits him square in the chest, seeps into his ribcage, and forces him to feel it. No matter how many houses or fences he raised, sidewalks or driveways he framed, Sarah would always be the best thing to come out of his efforts.
“I started pushing my dad away around that age,” you say. “It means something that she still thinks the world of you.”
You move to stand in front of Joel. He doesn’t back away. Not even when you pluck an invisible piece of lint off his shirt, then smooth a hand down his sturdy chest. The alarm bells are distant in your head, but chime louder in his.
Joel knows he should be the one to walk away, but reasons that there’s no harm in your crush. Before long, you’d find your footing in the world, and your focus would be swept elsewhere. The attention was nice as long as he didn’t bite back. You’d been biting since you were twenty.
This time around is different, however.
You take a chance and raise a hand to his scruffy cheek. “I think quite highly of you myself,” you murmur.
Joel doesn't push you away when you lean in to capture his lips with your own.
His eyes flutter closed as he dares to reciprocate. Everything about him is impossibly gentle, from the way his large hands settle on your waist to the fragile way he kisses as if you’ll fall apart. A silent war rages within him all the while. The brush of his scruff is prickly, but his lips are softer than you imagined. He tastes like spearmint gum.
You startle away from him as another helicopter passes in the sky. The picture frames rattle. You lean in with the intent to continue kissing Joel, but he recedes up the shore instead of running towards the sea.
There’s a reluctant finality to the way he pushes you away by the hip and runs a hand over his mouth. It’s as if he’s attempting to rid himself of the feeling of your lips, except it doesn’t go away. Neither does the cloud of want clear from his vision.
“I should go.” His tone doesn’t match his words, but he steps forward to leave nonetheless.
You’re right there to block his way. There’s enough space to weave around you, but he pretends you’re keeping him here when he’s never in his life been pinned down by anyone or anything.
“Go where?” you challenge lightly. “Is Sarah home?”
Joel considers lying, but you’ve only ever drawn the truth out of him. “At a friend’s.”
“Then what’s the rush?” Your eyes don’t leave his. “Quit denying yourself for once in your life.”
Joel’s throat works. “This ain’t right.”
“It’s not wrong.”
Right and wrong. Good and evil. And now you’ve proposed a middle ground that, coming from you, sounds like a lovely place to be.
You slip a hand beneath the hem of Joel’s shirt, grazing your fingernails down the pudge of his belly. It’s a maddening, lighthearted gesture.
“The middle’s not so bad,” you insist. “We can make it good.”
•••
Joel loses his mind at some point between his front door and his bedroom. With the way you touch him, and tease him, and smile into too-short kisses, he never stood a chance. He’s heard all the jokes about what it takes to keep up with a pretty young thing, but now he’s living it himself. You’re both naked and wanting in his bed.
He’d had the upper hand for a short while, nestling between your thighs until you came undone around his thick, skillful fingers.
A lovely flush colors his neck and upper chest as he prepares to rip open the foil package of a condom. Before he can make a clean tear, you reach out to take it from him.
“May I?” Your smile is sweet.
Joel admires your French manicure as you pull the condom out, taking your precious time. His stomach flips when you meet his gaze again because the upturn of your lips now flirts with mischief. Impatience flickers in his chest as his want only grows.
“Ain’t got all evening,” he says, voice thick but light.
“I know you don’t.” The tip of your index finger finds the pearly bead along his slit, spreading it in a slow circle that makes his stomach quiver. “Practically about to fall apart on me right now,” you lilt.
Joel’s exasperation rises as a weak huff of laughter. He knows there’s nothing clever or provocative he can say to inspire a sense of haste within you. So he settles on the truth since it’s the only stripped, shaky thing left alongside his desire.
“I'm achin', sweetheart.”
The raw quality of his voice harkens mercy from somewhere amid your fun. The stars over Austin align in time with your careful roll of the condom down the veiny strain of his need. Joel trembles through it, jaw tightening when you seal the deal by reaching down between his legs to massage the delicate, hanging weight of him.
Without warning, Joel pushes you backwards, and your head meets the pillows as he crowds over you. It’s as if invisible chains have been broken. He braces one hand near your face to the flustered sound of your giggles while he gingerly grips himself with the other. A dark thatch of curls rests at his base. Your legs fall open wider for him with ease.
Your breath hitches when he bumps his tip against your swollen bud, then glides down to catch at your waiting entrance. There’s no further hesitation or preamble. Joel’s eyes meet yours in silent acknowledgement that your relationship will never be the same.
There’s no mourning, only your joint sighs as he eases into your warmth. It’s a slow, snug push that leaves you no choice but to be aware of every solid inch of him, every vein and ridge. The initial stretch makes way for the dizzying relief of fullness. Joel burrows until he’s encompassed so wholly that he can’t go any further, exhaling your name.
Your face scrunches as he begins to pull back out in a careful drag. Your hands grip his shoulders as your legs hook around him.
“Joel.” It’s an awed, desperate sound.
"I gotcha," he soothes. "Easy does it."
A whimper escapes you as he finds a deep, measured rhythm. He’s reaching a tender place within you that shouldn’t be allowed to feel this good. Your mouth opens like you have something to say, but nothing comes out.
“Lost all your words?” He has the nerve to ask as if his voice doesn’t sound punched-out. “Had so much to—Christ—so much to say a minute ago.”
The rugged weight of him, paired with his body heat and the skilled thrusts of his hips, continues to render you speechless for the first time in a long time. All you know at this moment is him. It’s lovely and terrifying all the same.
Joel slows, realizing you need it. “Breathe for me, babygirl.”
He leans down to kiss your neck, scruff brushing your skin. His lips are soft enough to make you shiver and clench around him.
“S’just me,” he assures into your ear, voice like velvet.
Joel had seen you grow into the person you are today. Not only that, but he had done so without treating you like your maturity and intelligence stagnated at some point in the past when you were merely the younger girl next door.
“Just you,” you whimper in confirmation.
“Feel so good, you know that?” He gently thumbs over one of your pebbled nipples.
You arch, face hot. “Think so.”
He chuckles.
When you meet his eyes and see how dark and gone they are, you can’t help but laugh too, breathless. Joel places a steady hand on your hip to ground himself as you clench.
He exhales as his forehead touches yours. “Gonna make me come with all that giggling,” he whispers against your lips, then nuzzles your cheek. “Already teased me to goddamn pieces.”
“Maybe I want you to come.” Boldness settles beneath your skin as the pleasant knot in your stomach grows tighter. “You’re so big… can feel you everywhere.”
You miss the mark for Joel’s mouth and land a clumsy kiss on his chin. You lower a shaky hand from his shoulders and allow your middle finger to find your swollen bud. The firm, slippery circles make warmth pool between your thighs.
“Gonna try something, alright?” he coos in his low timbre. All you can do is nod earnestly.
One by one, Joel guides your legs over his shoulders so your calves frame his neck. You gasp as he sinks even deeper than before.
“That the spot, sweetheart?”
Soon, you can’t hold out any longer.
The rope snaps, and your walls flutter around him in unrhythmic pulses as your lips part. The rest of the world disappears, only to crash back in at Joel’s final pointed thrust. A guttural sound escapes him as he lets go. You watch the way his eyebrows furrow and his arms flex. The way his stomach clenches with each wave that rips through him.
It feels like you’re floating somewhere where real-life struggles and confusions can’t reach you. Here, everything makes sense. Everything is good down to the bone. And the best part is, you’re not alone; you’re drifting through this perfect place with Joel.
As September winds closer to its end, it wouldn't be the last time.
•••
One of Joel’s hands rests on Sarah’s shoulder while the other holds his phone to his ear. He can barely make out Tommy’s next sentence as a military plane flies overhead in the evening sky. The driveway shakes to the sound of the engine and the sirens wailing in the distance. Joel lets go of her in favor of plugging his opposite ear.
“You should’ve called me, Tommy... now you’ve got her out there in this crap… I didn’t say you weren’t capable of protecting her… Yeah, I know where it is. We’re on our way.”
As Joel hangs up, all he can think is, so much for a happy birthday—Tommy got arrested, you bailed him out, and it’s the beginning of the end.
He redirects his attention to Sarah. “It’s gonna be okay, bug. Gonna meet ‘em at the old commuter lot just before you get downtown.”
She nods even though her heart is beating in her ears.
“There are a lot of scared people out there right now. Might see some things. Gonna need to be brave for me, okay?”
“Okay,” she says, voice wavering. “Can I use the bathroom first?”
“Lightning fast.”
She jogs back into the house. Joel climbs into his truck, keeping a hopeful eye out for your dad. He doesn’t get the chance to call him again because his Mustang screeches to a stop in front of the driveway.
Cal sees red as he walks towards Joel’s door, dressed in his work suit and Oxfords.
“My daughter, man? Fucking Grace?”
That’s what he wanted to name you. The joke became that raising you took a lot of grace on his part, especially after your mom walked out of your lives. Joel knew the story.
“Get the hell out of this goddamn truck and talk to me like a man.”
Cal flings the door open, and Joel’s face is hot with embarrassment, guilt, and frustration. “We’ve got bigger fish to fry right now, Cal,” he asserts as he slides out. “Something’s going on.”
“I’m sitting in traffic, when ding—a lovey ass text makes me double take. Then I get a, ‘Sorry, wrong person’ like it’s no big fucking deal.” Cal shakes his head. “You. It was meant for you.”
“Cal, listen—”
“I trusted you all these years. Let you into my home.”
He shoves Joel. Hard. Joel takes it.
“You sick fuck.”
Joel’s shoulders sink as he holds his hands up. “Cal, please…” He racks his brain for a quick explanation, but nothing comes.
That’s when the door to the Adlers' house swings open, and Mrs. Adler comes staggering out. Her gait is strikingly abnormal, oddly stable but in a jerky, disoriented way. Her head twitches as she catalogs the sounds around her, face more gaunt than Joel has ever seen it.
“The hell are you looking at?” Cal barks, pinning Joel to the truck.
At the outburst, Mrs. Adler starts towards them in a clumsy shuffle.
“Bigger fucking fish, Cal,” Joel grouses. “Turn your thick skull around.” Joel finally manages to shove him off, and he stumbles with enough force to fall.
Mrs. Adler speeds up at the prospect of an easy target, but before she can lunge for Cal, Joel grabs a brick from the stack near the garage and hurls it at her head. The impact disorients her enough for Cal to scramble to his feet with a string of expletives. Joel grabs the sledgehammer from the bed of his truck and delivers a fatal blow to the woman’s head.
“Is that Mrs. Adler?” Cal says in horror. “Is the rest of the family okay? Shit, we gotta check.”
“It ain’t worth it, Cal—”
But Cal doesn’t listen. He marches straight into the house.
Further down the street, a fire hydrant shoots water like a geyser as a car crashes into it. Joel reluctantly trails after him until he hears Cal’s pained screams erupt from the inside. A sound loud enough to make his blood run cold.
Sarah hurries back out of the house carrying a photo album she didn’t have before. She stops at the sight of Mrs. Adler’s crumbled frame. Cal’s Mustang registers, then the screams.
“Get in the truck, Sarah,” Joel urges. “Right now, bug, get in the truck.”
The tone of his voice spurs her into action. Joel slides behind the wheel with ringing ears. His hands shake as he starts the engine and banks to the right to avoid Cal’s Mustang as he drives off the bump of the curb.
“Were those Cal’s screams?” Sarah asks, frozen in the passenger seat. Joel remains quiet, eyes glued to the road. “Why aren’t you answering me? Dad?”
Joel’s phone rings, displaying your name. His hands still haven’t stopped trembling as he raises the device to his ear.
“Joel? Hey,” you say, light but focused. “Tommy and I are almost at the commuter lot.” Joel hums in acknowledgement, scared his voice will betray him. “My dad says he’s swinging by the house first, but knows to meet us there.”
“Sarah and I are en route.”
He can feel his daughter’s gaze boring into him when he hangs up.
“You didn’t tell her?”
“That’s not the kind of conversation you have over the phone,” Joel justifies, his voice thick but measured. “‘Specially at a time like this.”
Sarah swipes the tear that slips down her cheek.
Cal’s life isn’t the only one lost that day.
Joel and Sarah never reach the commuter lot, but you and Tommy do.
From then on, the world is never the same.

𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑
Maroon, gold, indigo. Pale streaks of colored light span in thin bands over the empty pews of the chapel as the sun shines through the mosaic windows. On the stage, a short way behind the pulpit, stands an empty wooden cross.
Your gaze remains on your arms, where they rest crossed over your stomach. The few tears that once streamed down your cheeks have dried in stiff trails. You hadn’t bothered swiping them away.
You hadn’t prayed either.
Coming here usually meant something akin to that: sitting in silence with your eyes closed as the room’s serenity washed over your unspoken words. You weren’t expecting any kind of miracle. Waking up in Jackson, Wyoming every day already was one.
A long, quiet squeak rises from behind you, followed by the rattle of a closing door. You don’t look over your shoulder as footsteps pad in, but you grow intrigued when they freeze. Upon turning around, a young girl with a ponytail stands at the back of the sanctuary, staring at you with wide eyes.
“Sorry,” she says, mindful of her volume. “I didn’t think anybody was in here.”
You shake your head and face forward again. Her footsteps retreat, then she changes her mind. You listen to the swish of her pants as she grows closer and closer. Soon, the pew creaks as she sits beside you. It’s quiet for a while.
“Does he listen?” she murmurs, eyes on the cross. Her voice carries a hopeful hint of wonder beneath the quiet default of disbelief.
“I like to think so.”
She relaxes back into the seat, puffy coat rustling.
“I’m Ellie.”
•••
Spring nears before long.
A cheerful bark of laughter emits from your right, while Tommy’s gaze bores into you from the left. You can sense him even as you stare into what’s left of your blackberry moonshine.
In contrast to how you feel, the Tipsy Bison is alive with an early evening crowd. The bartender bounces around to those seated alongside you, fulfilling refills and carting away empty glasses. You don’t look at Tommy until he knocks his knee against yours. His eyes look painfully like Joel’s under the dim glow of the string lights.
“Can’t run from him forever,” he says.
You rest your elbow on the counter and pinch the bridge of your nose because you know he’s right.
When Joel arrived with Ellie a few months ago, the three of you sat in Tommy’s living room to catch up. An hour that went on to become the most harrowing of your lives.
It’s where you learned that you had two more stones to add to the cairn of remembrance in your mind; one for your father, another for Sarah.
You built walls around yourself after Outbreak Day. Not letting anything or anyone become significant enough to settle beneath your skin. Never again would you relive the feeling of leaving everything you loved behind: the city, your friends, your father.
Joel.
He was the source of so much to you when you needed it the most. Wisdom, comfort, affection, and validation wrapped in a package with the kindest eyes.
Those last few weeks of summer with him constitute the last of your old-world memories. You were bitter that you couldn’t press rewind. Bitter that Joel had been taken from you—that he’d broken his promise that everything would be alright.
In the haze of your naivety, you had built him up in your mind as ever-dependable. When the world laughed at your appointment, dethroning that idea of him felt like destroying a part of yourself.
That evening at Tommy’s, Joel met your gaze and uttered a hoarse apology for everything he never said.
Outbreak day had been an impossible situation that forced everyone to make impossible decisions. Except you refused to believe he’d made the right ones.
If he were a religion, your words were a renunciation of the faith:
“Damn your sorrys,” you said. “Do you know how many years I’ve spent holding out hope that my dad was still alive?” Joel tucked his head down. “Hell, that you and Sarah were still alive, Joel.”
“Was gonna tell you at the lot.” His voice was a murmur of pain and regret.
“But you never made it to the lot, did you?” Both brothers stilled at that. “And I’ve been walking around for years with a hope I now know was false.
“At least you had closure for your losses. At least they were real to you, and not some perpetual fucking maybe weighing you down every day of your life.” Tears had begun to stream down your cheeks.
Joel hadn’t flinched at a single word. He sat there like a stone, eyes broken. Tommy had to encourage you outside for some fresh air.
“He’s hurting too,” the younger Miller eventually said as he stood on the porch with you.
The Tipsy Bison fades back in around you as Tommy speaks up again.
“You know that knot in your chest you walk around with every day?” he questions. Your jaw ticks. “It ain’t gonna go away till you learn how to forgive.”
Aside from the revelation of Joel having known about your father’s death, the knowledge of Sarah’s death was another part of that night at Tommy’s that haunts you.
They never made it to the commuter lot because she had ended up dying in her his arms. By the time Joel did arrive, late and alone, all cellular networks had stopped functioning. Clouds of smoke rose from various fires. Chaos reigned as king.
By then, Tommy had already made the executive decision to leave without them, assuming the worst.
•••
The night of the spring fling, Joel stays in. He’d brought a tray from his workroom into the living room to whittle the finishing touches of the small horse figure he’d started a few days ago. He looks up when three knocks sound at the door.
The one person he’s not expecting to see is you.
“Hi,” you murmur.
His eyes are simultaneously unreadable and full of emotion behind his glasses.
“Hey.”
“Is it okay if we talk?”
Joel opens the door wider, and you take it as permission to step inside. Though his arm twitches, he doesn’t help you out of your jean jacket when you begin to shrug it off. But he does hang it on the rack for you.
“I was just sittin’ right in here…” he trails off and reclaims his spot on the couch. You follow, but opt for the accent chair.
Joel doesn’t know why he suddenly feels embarrassed—if that’s the right word to assign to the feeling. He’s suddenly hyper-aware of himself as he sits in his pajamas, with likely disheveled hair. It’s so quiet he can hear the refrigerator’s hum from the kitchen, the sound your clothes make as you shift.
You don’t know how to talk to him anymore. It’d once been so easy. A bit thrilling, even. He’d always listen and react in that distinct way of his, always ready to dish out a quip or a sarcastic remark when you got too big for your britches.
He’s not that man anymore. More of his hair has gone silver, and his face has aged slightly. His gaze carries a new intensity, like he’s alert and aware of everything.
“Is that a horse?”
It takes Joel a few seconds to realize you’re talking to him. He hums in confirmation.
“Nice,” you say honestly.
You hate yourself for dancing around the elephant in the room. But Joel’s right there with you, both of you clinging onto the same lifesaver in the middle of the sea.
“You can have it.” He shifts like he’s about to hand it to you, but you walk over to join him on the couch instead.
“How long did it take?”
“‘Bout six hours.”
As he turns it over in his hands and points out specific details, tears well in your eyes at the thoughtful cadence of his voice, the occasional way he pushes his glasses up his nose with an index finger.
By the time he stops talking and sets the horse on the coffee table in front of you, you’re crying. Joel noticed your tell-tale sniffles long before, but there’s a sympathetic flutter in his ribs as you actually begin to wipe your tears.
“Why are you so nice to me?” you murmur, voice cracking.
The weak question breaks through Joel’s internal debate to leave your side to get you a tissue.
You’d been avoiding him, but he wasn’t avoiding you. Not exactly.
Ellie doesn’t know all the details about you and Joel’s past, but you’ve crossed paths consistently since meeting her at the chapel. Almost every time you were together for a game night, movie night, or crafts at the community center, she mentioned that Joel either asked about you or said hello. Every time, it broke your heart even more.
What brought you to his door tonight is a quiet act of service that made it impossible to stay away. Word had gotten around about the broken fence gate in the front of your house. Joel took it upon himself to fix it while you were working a shift at the stables. On his off day, in the cold, no less.
You’d been treating him like he was invisible for months.
“I care about you,” he finally says, swallowing.
“I’ve been horrible to you.”
Joel doesn’t agree or disagree, just lifts a weak shoulder as if to acknowledge that things have simply been the way they’ve been.
Your entire face burns with shame. “I don’t know how to say sorry, but that’s all I’ve been.”
Your mind spins as you attempt to find a more eloquent way to express that, but a deep stillness overtakes you as Joel pulls you into his embrace.
It’s not neat or composed. You sink into him, face tucked into his chest, mere inches away from where his heart beats behind his ribs. Damp splotches of tears darken his gray shirt. You’ve missed his scent, the safety of his arms.
Maybe you’d stayed away because you couldn’t bear to lose it all again.
Time escapes both of you, and you let it.
You finally straighten up, and Joel brings a gentle hand to your face to wipe the remnants of your tears. The urge to lean into his warm, calloused palm overcomes you. Your eyes are heavy as you turn your head to pucker your lips against it in a featherlight kiss.
Then you take his hand in both of yours, pressing more kisses to his fingers and turning his hand over to pay his scarred knuckles the same mind. Joel’s entire arm tingles from the attention. You scoot yourself even closer to his side.
He leans back into the cushions, Adam’s apple bobbing, heavy eyes watching you. It’s almost like he doesn’t know what to do with himself.
Your touch disappears right after his eyes flutter closed.
You study his brow bone, his nose, the relaxed pout of his mouth.
Joel opens his eyes, accepting that this moment of affection may’ve reached its end. But he’s grateful it happened at all. He hadn’t been touched so tenderly since five years ago in Austin with you.
The two of you hold each other's gaze as a deafening silence stretches between you. A dog barks somewhere in the distance.
The couch dips as you carefully move to straddle him. His weathered hands tentatively grip your waist as you settle on his lap. You’re beautiful in the lamplight. Beautiful all the time. History knows he’s terrible at denying you.
Joel straightens from his reclined position and speaks what you both desperately want to say.
“I’ve missed you.”
It was a dangerous thing to want something in this world. To crave, to long. But tonight you do because you have each other to satiate the thrum.
You carefully pull his glasses off his face and set them aside. He blinks to reacclimate his eyes.
“Can you still see me?” you murmur.
“I see you, babygirl.”
You lean in to kiss his nose, then his lips.
Your joint breaths are uneven when you pull away from the kiss that nearly took them away. You stay close, nose to nose, quietly alive with the proximity.
Your tongue pokes out to gently trace his lower lip as if it’s enough to truly get another taste. You move to kiss the corner of his mouth, then trail an eager line of kisses to his jaw. His fingers dig into your waist when you lower your head to mouth beneath his ear.
As soon as he shivers, a small sound catching in his throat, you draw back. Not just away from his neck, but you ease yourself all the way down to the rug, where you spread his legs and kneel between them. You palm his bulge through his pajama pants one gentle time before your fingers curl into the waistband.
“You don’t gotta—”
“Please? I want to.”
After shucking his pants and boxers to the floor, you waste no time kissing up his fuzzy inner thighs. You don’t stop when you reach his arousal, gripping him at the base to kiss up the veined underside until reaching the flushed mushroom head. Joel’s legs quiver and fall open wider when you take him into your mouth.
There’s no teasing, no delay. You look up at Joel through your lashes, where the almost pained scrunch of his eyebrows tells you you’re making it good for him.
So much so, tension coils low in his gut, and his sac draws up in warning. He encourages you back up to his lap with a hand to your cheek.
Upon standing, you step out of your jeans and panties while holding his heavy-lidded gaze. When you settle back onto his thighs, you pull your shirt over your head, and he gently cups one of your breasts. Your soft hum prompts him to dip his head to kiss your nipple gingerly, then suckle it into his mouth. He’s painfully reverent and gentle.
As he lifts his head to switch to the other, you duck in to kiss him, nice and slow. When your fingertips find the hem of his shirt, he gently grasps your wrists. A thin string of saliva slinks between your mouths as you pull away.
“Everything okay?” you breathe, gaze searching.
“S’just... I got some scars.” He’s unsure if he says it so you’re not caught off guard, or because a small, self-conscious part of him has arisen.
You bring a hand to his cheek and brush your thumb over his scruff. “That’s okay.”
“Alright.”
Once he’s bare, your fingers map over the healed cuts and small divots scattered across the skin of his torso, each with its own story. It’s not as bad as you expected, just enough to give him a more rugged edge. He’s hairier now, across his chest and leading down from his navel to the wiry curls at his base.
You reach between your bodies and give Joel a few easy strokes before rising onto your knees and guiding him to your entrance. You run his thick head through your folds to collect the pooled wetness. Joel reaches down to make sure you’re ready for him and twitches in your grasp when his fingers easily slip around.
You’re so slick, gentle pressure alone is enough to breach your entrance. You shudder when he circles your clit in a few focused passes before settling his hands back on your waist.
Joel’s hold remains steady as you ease down onto him. He watches himself disappear in your warmth. When you’re filled all the way, you sigh at the overwhelming stretch.
Your hips circle a few practiced times as you get acclimated to welcoming him, anyone, after so long. As the delicious dull ache makes way for pleasure, you raise back up and sink back down. Joel's hands knead your backside and smooth up to your shoulder blades as you set a pace.
He sits there and relishes what you give him, occasionally shifting or raising his hips to complement you.
“Not gonna last,” he breathes against your lips. “You feel too good. Been so long.”
“Me neither,” you exhale, reaching down to rub circles over yourself.
Under your body and the intoxicating roll of your hips, it isn’t long before Joel feels a strong, hot tug low in his gut.
“Sweetheart,” he rasps, gripping your hips to slow them. “M’close, lift up.”
“It’s okay.”
You brush a kiss along his cheek and circle one of his nipples with the pad of your finger. Panic licks within him even as he helplessly shudders.
“Mmmh—sweetheart.”
“I promise it’s okay,” you whisper. “I know my body. Always track my cycle.”
“You sure?” Joel’s brows pinch when you clench involuntarily.
“Positive.” You move his hands to rest further up your waist, then grip his shoulders as you fall back into a rhythm.
Pleasure swells between you so intensely that there is no more holding back.
Joel’s warm, muscular thighs tremble, then flex beneath you as he cants his hips upwards and allows throaty sound to escape him. His stomach tightens as he empties himself into you with an awed utterance of your name.
The way he pulses inside of you makes you let go, walls fluttering around him as pleasure radiates from your core down into the apex of your thighs. You rest your dewy forehead against his as you ride out the aftershocks that render you spent.
The sense of fondness and relief that washes over you is so great that you have to run your hands down Joel’s broad chest to make sure he’s real. His palm splays in the center of your back, keeping you near.
He’s got you now.
And you could begin again.
•••
Behind the chapel, Joel sits on a wooden bench alone. A breeze blows through as he gazes at the snow-capped peaks of the mountains. It’s quiet for an afternoon in Jackson, but he has no complaints. Some days were like that, slow-moving all around, as if a spell of stillness had chosen to settle.
As he waits, he turns over a tan rock in his hand, the edges so smooth it almost looks fake.
With the weather warming, he could get away without a jacket today. The forest green flannel he wears complements his dark wash jeans. He’d also combed his hair back with a natural gel.
Before he left the house, Ellie had eyed him knowingly.
"Who's the lucky lady?" she teased.
"Take a wild guess," he said. "I'll be back in a few hours."
Joel doesn’t look over his shoulder when grass crunches beneath the footsteps behind him. A smile tugs at his lips when they pause, then grow slower and lighter.
The world goes dark as two soft hands cover his eyes from behind, smelling faintly of lemon balm. You lower your lips to his ear as if you’re about to say something, but end up laughing, light and flustered. Joel can’t help but chuckle.
A feigned sigh of frustration leaves you as you give up, rounding the bench to sit beside him instead. Joel looks over at you, soft crinkles beside his sparkling eyes.
“It’s not funny,” you say lightly. “I was gonna try to pull the whole ‘guess who’ thing, but then I panicked and realized it’d be extremely obvious.”
“Woulda played along,” Joel says easily.
You know he would’ve. Levity was seeping in between the cracks more and more every day. It was nice to give in to a sense of play again.
“You’re early,” you say, letting your knee touch his. “It’s not even noon.”
He reads the face of his watch. “So are you.”
Your eyes drift to the rock he’s holding. “You found such a pretty one.”
Upon pulling yours from your tote bag, it’s smaller with more rigid edges. But it’s a nice rock, nonetheless.
“Ready?”
“Your turn to pick the spot,” you say.
He’s had enough time to think about it. You follow him a few yards into the overgrown grass. Grunting softly, he leans down to place his rock on top of the lone tree stump standing there. You balance your smaller one on top of his. For Sarah, for Cal. Stepping back a couple of paces makes them seem so small.
A moment of silence arises. You reach for his hand, a small gesture led by your pinkie. He takes your hand like every other fourth Thursday of the month at various locations around the commune.
The previous month’s cairns seldom remain standing where you leave them, but you never mind. It’s no more about permanence than it is about showing up. Remembering. Setting aside time for one another’s shared grief.
“Not gonna lie,” you start softly.
Joel looks over at you, ready to listen.
“The lunch menu’s not too shabby today.”
An amused puff of air leaves his nose. “S’that right?”
As you return to the bench to sit together a while longer, the wind blows, a refreshing whisper reminding you that you’re still here.

warnings: stalker!rafe but hes so cute and sweet about it hehe, fluffy, brief drinking, slut shaming (not by rafe), protective!rafe
rafe whips out his phone the second it beeps, the familiar chime that has kelce and topper rolling their eyes.
“dude, come on. if it's some dumb mobile game, we won't judge you.” topper says, wanting to know what draws rafe to his phone every so often, interrupting whatever it is they're doing to check it, staring intensely and hiding it away from their view.
“yeah man, i once spent $40 on candy crush, no judgement.” kelce says, and even rafe looks up to give him an incredulous look.
“it's nothing.” rafe hums, shoving his phone back into his pocket.
“well, it's your stroke then man.” topper gestures down at the golf ball at rafes feet.
“yeah, yeah.” rafe nods, mind still elsewhere.
--
“funny seeing you here, y/n.” rafe says with a grin, his arm swinging around your shoulder and tugging you into his side.
“oh my god, how do we keep ending up at the same places?” you laugh, stepping away from your friends that all look at you with a mix of jealousy and confusion, unsure why you can't see that rafe is so obviously into you.
“well, i was craving something sweet.” rafe places a hand on his chest as he looks at you. “and i guess i found it.”
“so whatcha gonna order?” you ask, aware that the line is moving fast.
“chocolate cone, and you?” rafe already knows he's going to insist on paying for whatever it is you want from the ice cream shop.
“um…” you tap your finger against your lips, rafes eyes staying on your mouth as you reply. “sprinkles flurry.”
“just sprinkles?” rafe raises his eyebrows.
“yup.” you nod, popping the p.
“damn, i really have found something sweet.”
--
“shit, shit, shit!” you squeal, looking at the deflated tire that you certainly can't drive on.
you groan as you pull your phone out of your pocket, not sure if you should call a tow truck at this hour of night or just a friend to pick you up.
before you can decide, your phone rings, your heart fluttering with relief when you see it's rafe.
“hey.” you answer quickly.
“hey.” you can hear the smile on rafes face. “just had a feeling i should check on you. everything okay?”
“actually my car just got a flat out on old stoney road. is there any way you can come pick me up?”
you can instantly hear rafe shift and the jingle of keys. “im on my way, stay in your car.”
you do as rafe says, staying on the phone with him until he arrives, allowing him to pull you into a hug.
“ill call a tow in the morning, okay?” rafes hand gently moves up and down your back as he leads you towards his truck.
“mkay.” you say thankfully, climbing into the passenger side. you look at rafe as he rounds the truck and gets into the driver's seat. “how do you always know when i need you?”
“i guess you could say sixth sense.” rafe says with a soft smile.
--
rafe watches the blue dot move on his phone, watching it turn down streets and get closer and closer to his house.
rafe closes the app and shoves his phone in his pocket once he's sure.
he quickly tidies up his room, just in case he manages to get you into his bed.
rafe manages to hurry downstairs and open the door before you even knock, your eyebrows raising in surprise.
“hi rafe!” you say quickly.
“what's up darling?” he questions, leaning casually against the doorframe.
“well-” you clear your throat. “you always check on me, and i figured i should do the same for you.” you shrug.
“oh, how sweet.” rafe steps back so you can walk into tanneyhill, shutting the door behind you and making sure to lock it now that he has precious you inside.
rafes eyes are unashamedly on your ass as you walk further into the house. one day he'll make his move, but he's too into the chase.
--
“so how do you know tina?” you ask, taking a sip of your strawberry margarita. you thought you would hate a blind date, but the man sitting across from you actually isn't too bad so far.
“im friends with her brother.” joshua explains, leaning back in his chair and taking an aggressive gulp of his beer.
“ahh, leroy.” you frown slightly at this. you've never been a fan of tinas family, considering her the only true good one out of the bunch.
you try not to let it affect you for the rest of the date, even though the thought is at the back of your mind during every awkward silence.
“well i had a really good time.” you tell him, heading towards your car, purposely only having one drink along with your food so you could drive yourself home from the restaurant.
“i did too, darling.” the word coming from joshuas mouth makes your nose crinkle up, realizing how you only like it when rafe says it to you.
“ill text you.” you take a step away, but joshua follows.
“don't you wanna keep the good time going?”
“oh, um…” you shake your head no. “it's not that i don't like you, but i don't do that on a first date.”
“really?” joshua hums. “i figured you'd be a slut like tina.”
“excuse-” you can't even finish your sentence before you feel his chest pressing into your back. his scent envelops you and you don't even have to turn around to know who has come to your rescue yet again.
“you can go now.” rafe simply says before placing his hands on your shoulders, guiding you towards his truck.
“shit.” you take a deep breath as you climb into his passenger side. “thank god you're always here to save me.”
“mhm.” rafe starts up his truck, it's not even a discussion on whether or not he's taking you home.
“how do you always know?” you question.
“don't worry about it.” rafe says, reaching over to pat your thigh.
--
“rafe.” you hum out, stepping into the shade and leaving your friends behind to tan on the front of the large boat.
“what's up?” he sits up quickly, having been watching you the entire time, loving your new bikini that shows off even more skin.
“i found this weird app on my phone.” you open up the device and hand it to him. “you're good with this stuff so.” you shrug, explaining why you're coming to him.
last time you had an issue with your screen brightness randomly turning up and down, and rafe fixed it for you.
“hm, just leave it.” rafe says, trying to keep his voice casual despite his nerves skyrocketing.
“are you sure?” you question. “it looks a little suspicious…”
“it's not, babe.” rafe throws your phone down, needing to find something to immediately distract you, knowing how your mind could spiral.
he whips his shirt off so he's in just his swim trunks. “wanna swim?”
--
location services are no longer transmitting. please redownload application. now showing last location.
“shit!” rafe groans. he honestly can't think of a worse notification to wake up to as he rushes out of bed, getting ready as quickly as he possibly can to jump into his truck.
rafe knocks on tinas door. he swears if her brother or joshua opens it he's going to freak out, his heart already pounding thinking about what you could be doing in there.
“rafe?” you question, surprised when he quickly tugs you into a tight hug.
“god, im glad you're alright.” rafe sighs deeply, eyes flickering up to see tina watching the two of you in the doorway.
“what happened?” you question, pulling away to look at rafe, placing your hand on his cheek to bring his eyes back down to you.
“i-” rafe begins to explain himself when tina interrupts.
“i told you that app was sending your location. now we know who was on the other end.”
you take a step back from rafe, your mind slowly putting the pieces together.
“baby, i can explain-” rafe looks like he's ready to drop to his knees and beg, but you instantly know that's not necessary.
“you could have just asked.” you say with a small chuckle as rafe looks at you in confusion.
“you could have just asked.” you say again. “for my location. i would have given it to you without you having to be all sneaky.”
“im so sorry, i never should have done it without your permission.” rafe says as tina quietly slips away, realizing this isn't something she needs to be watching.
“i forgive you for all the times you saved me.”
“so um… we're good?” rafe asks.
“not quite.” rafe is ready to apologize a million times over when you place your hands on his shoulders and push up to your tiptoes to press a kiss to his lips.
it takes rafe a second to realize what is happening, and then his arms are around you, depending the kiss as he holds you tight to your body.
“now we're good.” you giggle as you pull away.

For You? Always

⠀ ꒰ 🍒 ꒱ NIKA MÜHL X READER ꒰ 🍒 ꒱
MASTERLIST, ALL PARTS
⭑ pairing: Nika Mühl x reader (spoiled-by-reader!fem!reader)
⭑ summary: After a long practice, the team heads out for dinner—but when Nina casually says “I want…,” you don’t even let her finish. You just say yes. Loud. Easy.
⭑ genre: Flirty, fun, spoiled energy, team banter, sugar mama lite
⭑ warnings: Soft language, playful flexing, subtle dominance, Nika being spoiled with no shame
⭑ word count: ~0.6k

Scene: Post-Practice | UConn Women’s Locker Room → Dinner
Practice ran long.
One of those full-speed, full-sweat, legs-don’t-work-anymore days. The kind where drills start focused and end in survival. Every player dragging ass, hands on knees, water bottles emptied faster than they’re refilled. Geno’s voice still echoing in your skull, your sports bra clinging to your spine, hair soaked, knees aching—but satisfied.
You earned that soreness.
The team’s filtering out of the gym slow, peeling off socks, swiping iced towels across their faces. You’re sitting on the locker room bench, leaning back, hoodie untied around your waist, slides on, and still fine. Barefaced. Jewelry light. Expensive watch flashing under the shitty fluorescent lights like it doesn’t belong here.
You scroll through your phone like you didn’t just hit 28 and 7. Notifications going up—some tagged clip of your fourth-quarter putback already climbing views. Comments flooded with “she got money AND game??” and “uconn got oil princes hooping now??”
You don’t retweet it. Don’t even like it. You’re used to that noise.
Nika walks by with her curls tied up, her duffle bag hanging off one shoulder, and sweat glistening across her collarbone like a setup. She’s still breathing hard, but she smirks as she passes you.
“Let’s eat.”
That’s it.
Not a question. Not a suggestion. Just: Let’s.
You stand without a word.
The rest of the team trickles out after, yelling across the hallway, debating food. Someone says wings, someone else says Thai. KK’s loudly arguing with Ashlynn about who still owes who boba from three weeks ago.
But Nika’s already in your passenger seat. Feet up. Elbows on the door. Phone in hand. She’s scrolling slow, her other hand resting on your center console like she owns the car. Which, technically, you do.
You pull into the restaurant parking lot—some mid-luxury spot with real linen napkins and a bill that never stays under $300 for the full squad. You don’t flinch.
And that’s when it happens.
Outside the car, Nika’s still half watching her screen, not even looking at you when she says:
“I want—”
“Yes.”
You say it before she finishes.
Loud. Clear. Calm as hell.
She freezes for a second. Then turns her head slow, one eyebrow raised.
A beat passes.
Then, from the open windows, you hear it—
“AYO!!”
“NOT AGAIN.”
“Bro, she didn’t even finish her sentence!”
“THAT’S A YES TO ANYTHING!”
“I’m ordering two apps and dessert!”
The team’s already halfway inside the restaurant and losing their damn minds. KK is literally stomping in place. Paige leans on Jana like she’s about to collapse from laughter. Ayanna’s recording the moment like it’s a national event.
Nika smirks.
You’re still in your seat, seatbelt undone, watching her with half-lidded eyes and no shame.
“You didn’t even hear what I wanted,” she teases.
“I heard you,” you say. “Didn’t need the rest.”
She licks her teeth. “What if I said I wanted a jet?”
You blink. “Do you want it now or after the season?”
Her face cracks—just slightly. That half-second where her cocky smirk softens, eyes dart down like she doesn’t want to react too much. But you catch it.
“You’re ridiculous,” she mumbles, getting out the car.
You lean back in your seat, grinning to yourself. Ridiculous? Maybe. But she’s still wearing the Cartier bracelet you slipped in her bag last week. Still riding with you. Still saying “I want” with her chest, knowing damn well what happens when she does.
—
Dinner is loud.
The team’s halfway feral. Ordering extra appetizers, dessert first, laughing like they haven’t just run suicides for an hour. Waiters are confused. The energy’s chaotic.
You sit at the end of the table. One arm draped across the back of Nika’s chair. You’ve already given the server your card—quietly, no flex needed. You always do.
“Y’all act brand new every time,” you say, laughing as KK waves the dessert menu like it’s a winning lottery ticket.
“You’re the one saying yes like it’s oxygen!” Aubrey fires back.
“She said I want, and you didn’t even ask what!”
“I never have to,” you shrug.
And Nika?
She’s leaned in close now. Shoulders relaxed. Head tilted just enough to whisper.
“You’re spoiling us,” she says.
You hum. “I like taking care of my team.”
“I’m not just your team.”
You pause.
Then, soft: “I know.”
The table keeps yelling around you. Paige is halfway in Ashlynn’s food. Ayanna’s already claimed leftovers that don’t exist yet. But it all fades when Nika’s hand slides under the table, fingers resting on your knee—just a little pressure. Casual. But not nothing.
“So anxious…” plays faintly over the restaurant’s playlist. Nobody else catches it.
But you do.
You glance down at Nika, lips twitching.
“What time do you want me?”
She doesn’t smile. Just stares.
Then: “Midnight.”
Your throat tightens.
You nod once. “Door’s open.”

synopsis: two stressed, hot babes (you and shoko) decide to have spontaneous one night stand in a car
a/n: gotta love women
tags: MINORS DNI, shoko ieiri x fem!reader, smut with no plot, car sex, alcohol consumption, cunnilingus (both receiving and giving), scissoring/tribbing, they're both adults, reader still lives with strict parents, ending is nonexistent, not proofread
"I'll pick you up in an hour." the text had you widen your eyes in both surprise and excitement, your lips gently curving into a smile as you clicked on the small profile picture to view your new hookups' pictures once again. A doctor (you assumed, based on her white lab coat) with long brown hair, a sweet exhaustion dwelling in her brown gaze above lilac eye bags. Cool was what you would've described her if you ever happened to come across her on the street, but now that she was in between your dating app matches and you talked with her for mere 30 minutes, hot suited her better.
When you stepped out on your front door an hour later, the chill of the night tickled your freshly shaved skin on and in between your legs, making you more aware of your swelling wetness - as if you didn't already face it in the shower. Shoko was leaned against her car, her black mini skirt poking out from under her black leather coat. God, the way she instantly devoured every detail about you with her tired eyes while her soft, glossed lips wrapped around the butt of her near finished cigarette, it nearly made you just drag her upstairs and ignore the fact your parents would've heard everything.
"Everything alright?" she asked, her velvety voice jolting you out of your lustful reverie.
"Yeah, I just..." you started, your eyes immediately leaving hers when she tossed away the cigarette butt, revealing her cleavage from under her coat. "I'm not sure where we should do it. My place is a no-go, and you said the same about your own."
"The backseat of my car is quite comfortable." she said as she opened the passenger door for you. A slight smirk curved her lips when you glanced at the backseats that were completely folded down, leaving a wider, blanket covered space. This wasn't her first time, you thought, as you fastened your seatbelt and Shoko started the car. The clouds of her blueberry candy perfume wrapped you around as the radio played Cheri Cheri Lady, a mix of rain and snow flying against the windshield as she kept driving on nearly empty roads.
"I have wine back there if you're interested. No glasses, though." said Shoko. Perhaps she knew you were a bit anxious about the whole ordeal and that alcohol might help you ease up a bit. If she did, she was right; your fingers wrapped around that bottle of red wine in no time, you put it to your lips, and drank of that sweet nectar without hesitation. The rich taste coated your tongue, making you realize that it was no cheap alcohol that you just gulped down, while the warmth from your stomach began to spread towards your limbs.
"Already blushing from a sip of wine, how adorable" Shoko cooed as one of her hands left the steering wheel to caress your exposed thigh. The soft of her fingertips felt cold against your flesh, making you shiver a little under her touch. "Oh? Too cold? Maybe you could do something about that."
So you took her hand and kissed her knuckle velvet, the bottom of her fingers, brushed your lips against her freshly manicured nails before you invited her pointy and middle fingers in your mouth. Your eyes watched Shoko's eyes darken, and her smirk deepened as your tongue caressed her fingers, gently sucked on them like the good girl she had already knew you were while she drove her car onto a small road surrounded by woods.
Your heart jumped a little when you realized you were really in the middle of nowhere, but you would have been lying if you said the thrill of it all didn't make you wetter than you already were. As if she read your mind, Shoko took her fingers out of your mouth to frame your flushed cheeks in her hands as her lips finally collided with yours. Her lip gloss and yours mixed into a sweet coat, melting on your tongue when she pushed hers into your mouth. She smiled and gently moaned into the kiss when your hand traveled from her cheek to her breast, she felt your hand hesitate a little when you realized she didn't have a bra on.
"Go ahead, princess." A chuckle bubbled in Shoko's chest as she took off her coat and top, revealing her perfectly erect nipples inviting you for a taste. She yelped a little when your mouth nearly devoured her breast as your hand fondled the other, your tongue teasing that slightly brown nipple with hunger while she caressed the top of your head with one hand as her other hand helped you get rid of your coat.
"I see you can barely wait to get your pussy ate." she said when your tongue wetted her cleavage as you made your way up to the soft crook of her neck. A firm grab on your hair made you look into her eyes; you were both flushed and drunken with lust. "God, you're so cute, I can't wait to ruin you. Climb on the backseat!"
Already half naked and the car already warmed up, you thought it best if you didn't open the door to go to the back of the car. Instead, you took her words literally and began to climb through the front seats to get to your destination; unbeknownst to you, your dress lifted up and you had your entire wetness on display right in Shoko's face. A big mistake, you realized soon when she held you back by gripping into the flesh of your ass and spread your cheeks wide. "What a naughty girl. No panties, and already soaking wet from just kissing a stranger." she smacked your ass, leaving a tingling feeling of pain that only made you more wet. "Are you a bad girl?"
"Yes," you moaned as Shoko began to kiss your inner thigh, leaving a bite and another slap on your ass as she found your answer unsatisfactory. "Yes, mommy."
Like a divine gift, her tongue gathered your hot wetness between your folds as you held yourself up with your two arms as your tummy rested on the front seats. Shoko hummed, licked and sucked on every inch of your wet pussy as if it was her last meal on Earth; her nails teased against your skin before spanking you when you wanted to hold back your sweet moans. When the soft of her thumb began to caress your clit, you could not hold back anymore. Your shameless screams and moans filled the car and the woods as she devoured your pussy and played with your clit until another gush of wetness stained Shoko's face and your legs trembled with your first orgasm. "Good girl, go and lay down."
With a cloudy mind and shaking limbs, you obeyed. Your eyes lazily followed her figure as she got rid of her clothes, tossing them to a dark corner of the car before she climbed on top of you to embrace you in another sloppy kiss. The taste of your own juices tingled with sweetness against your tongue as she stained your face with the cum that you orgasmed on her. "Sit on my face...please." Your begging made her smile once again, her exhausted eyes livening up with lust once more before she maneuvered herself around in the tiny space to use your face like her personal saddle while your nose teased her clit.
"Ah, look how excited you got me." Shoko whimpered as her own wetness started get licked away by you as your hands held into her waist. From your view, she looked like a goddess; the interior light of the car shone gold in her dark brown hair, her brown eyes gazed down upon you with want and need, one of her hand teasing her beast as the other raked through your hair, her battle scars from the past faint on her abdomen as you eagerly devoured her freshly trimmed pussy. Her looks alone made you lose your mind, but her voice could make you cum once again without her touching you - and you were determined to make her scream in pleasure.
"Oh, my" she moaned when your hands found her chest, your fingers eagerly and roughly playing with her nipples. The way it made her arch her back, it made you tongue her hole faster as you rubbed your nose against her clit. You knew she was close to cumming when her grip in your hair tightened and she couldn't help, but rock her hips against your face. To both of your surprise, you welcomed her orgasm with firm slaps on her ass. Whereas she clearly enjoyed the spanking, she knew she could not let you get away with such a thing.
Before you knew it, the cold air hit your wet face and Shoko's wet pussy was placed against yours. "So fucking wet, hng." she whimpered to herself, biting her lip as she began to massage her folds with yours, her arms holding onto one of your legs as she began to roughly rock her hips. Wet clit against wet clit, pussy on pussy - the sensation nearly drove you mad, your throat already feeling hoarse and dry from the screams you simply could not hold back as your nails dug into Shoko's waist.
"Hmm, I'm gonna cum." you moaned, making Shoko whimper "Oh, yeah?" before she grabbed both of your legs and folded them up against your chest as she held you from under your knees. The pose left you feeling completely dominated and exposed before Shoko began to vehemently her pussy against yours once again, the wet sounds nearly disappearing between the high-pitched screams and moans as you both ride through the orgasm.

ten star ride

(fluff, fem!reader + friends, drunk silliness)
⋆⭒˚。⋆☾
as long as könig’s home, you’ve no need for booking a ride after a girls night out. why would you when you have a 10 star driver already at your disposal?
he’s happy to serve you, his cheeks tinged pink with each compliment your friends supply from the back about how they can only pray to find such a good man. one of them pipes up with a giggled “i’m surprised you still even join us on nights out! if i were you i’d have been cuddled up with my man”, at which könig gives you a playfully pointed look as if to say “she’s right, you know”. you laugh and tell him to keep his eyes on the road, he’s got precious cargo after all, and that he does: you’re the light of his life, and so your friends are also vips by extension. he’s forever grateful that they keep you company when he has to be away for work, so this is a way for him to pay them back. he’s got little snacks packed, keeping track of which snacks make the group of you cheer most, and of course a bunch of waters, declaring each of you will have at least one bottle, no arguments. hydration is key after nights like this.
you mention wanting fries, and suddenly the back of the car is a chorus of pleas for fries and burgers and nuggets, and you’re turning your best puppy eyes on könig, but it’s entirely unnecessary because he’s already turned in the direction of your fav fast food place minutes before. he knows how y’all get, downright ravenous like a pack of lionesses. he’s ever patient as he jots down everyone’s cravings in his notes app before ordering, having to redirect the conversation from gossip back to the matter at hand a couple of times. he covers it, shaking his head and laughing at the overly loud thank yous shouted from the back, one of your friends even bursting into tears because “that’s so nice! isn’t he so nice? like, the way kindness still exists in the world is so beautiful!”
although, don’t think he doesn’t like the gossip. as you’re waiting for your giant order he’s intently listening to you and your friends yapping, viewing it like a game to unravel each slurred and choppy story supplied. “ja, he’s a total jerk for that. what was he even thinking saying such a thing?” “maybe give him some time? if he’s not back in a couple of days, cut him out.” “if he wanted to, he would. i message my liebe even when i’m in the literal trenches”
yeah, he’s great with your friends, dropping each of them off at their houses, waiting til they securely shut the door to drive off until it’s just the two of you on your way to your home. your chatting fades out as you slowly nod off, but he doesn’t mind one bit. he pulls into your driveway before going over to the passenger side, oh so gently scooping you up, pressing soft kisses to your hair as you stir and cling to him, his scent and the feeling of his strong arms around you making you sigh softly. you smile drowsily, eager for the rest of the usual night out routine: he’ll carefully remove your heels, peel off your dress, reverently bathe you as you doze off in the warm bath, then bundle you up like a precious present as he pulls the covers up around the two of you. you mumble something about being so lucky to have him, and he laughs softly, correcting you:
“i’m the lucky one, schatzi.”

Forbidden Desires: A Bodyguard's Affair
Male Reader X Yuna - ITZY
Daddy Kink - Deepthroating - Big Dick - Cock Worship - Degradation - Self Degradation - Master Kink
This is my first piece ever on this app so please let me know what you think and if you'd like to see more please and thank you.
Also, I'd like to compliment @sleepinghypnos for the inspiration on this piece

The ITZY members are already prepared and ready to go for their photoshoot. Their managers had already put the things they needed in the van.
You noticed how Yuna kept glancing at you. She's been like that since breakfast. Giving glances towards you secretly, she must have thought you wouldn't notice.
Their manager decided to take his vehicle while you accompanied the girls in the group's Vehicle. The vehicles that Korean Celebrities and Idols usually use have a partition in the front of the vehicle so that the driver seat won't be able to see the passengers.
It makes the artists feel more comfortable during their ride. You are seated in the back of the van and Yuna is seated beside you.*
"Are you okay? You ask You've been staring at me since earlier." You paused. "Is there something bothering you?"
She didn't answer but she suddenly put her hands on your crotch. "I heard rumors that you have a very big cock." She whispered in your ear as she kept groping your now semi-erect cock in your pants. She then suddenly brought your cock out and made sure nobody else was watching before she started stroking it. Yuna knelt in front of you, the space inside the van was spacious enough for her to kneel. "This is not just very big. It's fucking Massive!" She said as she finally had a close-up view of your cock.
Your heart skipped a beat upon hearing Yuna compliment your massive cock. You looked down and saw Yuna staring at your cock with lustful eyes. Your 12-inch long cock was standing straight up, and you could tell that Yuna was impressed by its girth and length.
"Oh~ Yeah, I heard rumors about you being a complete whore for big dicks~," you say in a playful tone, you couldn't help but tease her a bit because you found her reactions to my cock so arousing. "I guess it's quite impressive huh?"
Yuna's heart raced as she continued to admire your massive cock, her hand wrapped around it tightly, stroking every inch of it slowly, savoring every moment. She felt her pussy getting wetter by the second, desperate for more.
"Oppa...can I...suck it?" she asked nervously, but her voice betrayed her excitement as she spoke. "Please..."
Her mouth watered as she eagerly awaited your response, her eyes locked onto yours, waiting for permission to engulf your throbbing member.
You nodded and permitted Yuna to suck your cock, you watched her as she lowered her head toward your throbbing member. Her eyes were filled with pure desire, and her lips parted slightly as she opened her mouth wide to accommodate your thickness.
"Go ahead," you told her as she positioned herself right underneath my tip, her tongue flicking out to taste the pre-cum dripping from the slit.
Yuna's heart raced as she eagerly accepted your invitation, her mouth engulfing your thick shaft while her hands held onto your base, her eyes closed in concentration as she focused on pleasuring you with every fiber of her being. Her tongue worked tirelessly, her cheeks hollowing out as she took more and more of your length into her mouth.
"Mmmmpph... Oppa... this tastes so good," she whispered between deep breaths, her voice barely audible as she struggled to maintain control over herself.
Yuna's bobbing head and her skilled use of her tongue were driving you wild, you could feel myself getting closer and closer to cumming as she took every inch of your cock into her throat, her cheeks hollowing out as she took as much of you as possible. Her hands were holding onto your base tightly as she worked her magic, her eyes still closed in concentration as she focused solely on pleasing you.
"Ahhh.. fuck... Yuna.. I'm close," you warned her as you felt the precursor to your climax building up inside of you, "Make sure to swallow every drop."
Yuna's eyes shot open in excitement as she heard your warning, her mouth working even faster as she eagerly tried to take every inch of your cock into her throat, her cheeks bulging as she struggled to take all of your thickness down her throat, choking profusely. Her hands tightened their grip on your base, her fingers digging into your skin as she worked tirelessly to please you.
"Mmmph...mmm...Oppa! Don't cum yet!" she whispered between rapid breaths, her voice barely audible as she continued to choke on your cock.
Your cock twitched and throbbed as Yuna's talented mouth worked its magic, her hands tightening their grip on your base as she tried to take every inch of your throbbing cock down her throat, her cheeks puffing out as she struggled to take it all in. Her hands squeezed your base tightly as she worked tirelessly to pleasure you, her voice barely audible as she whispered between deep breaths.
*Ngh... don't cum yet... let me enjoy this... let me enjoy this feeling of Yuna's hot mouth engulfing my cock.* You thought to yourself as you tried to hold back your orgasm, your mind clouded with lust and desire for Yuna's talented mouth and throat.
Yuna's eyes remained fixed on your throbbing member as she continued to suck every inch of your cock, her cheeks puffing out like a chipmunk's as she struggled to take it all in. "Mmm... mmmph... mmmph..." she moaned softly, her voice barely audible as she worked her magic, her throat working overtime to pleasure you.
"Oppa... don't cum yet... I want to savor this moment,"
Yuna's mouth was a perfect fit around your throbbing cock, her lips wrapped tightly around your shaft as her tongue worked its magic, she finally managed to take every inch of you into her warm, wet mouth. She knew exactly how to work her magic, her mouth moving expertly as she took every inch of your length down her throat, her throat working overtime to pleasure you. As she sucked you off, she looked up at you through her long eyelashes, her eyes filled with desire and lust for you.
"Mmm... Yuna... you're so good at this." You thought to yourself as you watched her practically worship your cock, your mind clouded with desire and lust for her.
Yuna kept slobbering on your cock, drool leaking from her lips and dripping down her chin onto her tits that she has now taken out after lifting her top.
"Is this good enough for you Oppa?"
she says as she peppers your cock with kisses up and down your shaft.
*Fuck I'm getting addicted to his cock* She thought in her head. Her mind was starting to go blank as the only thought in her head right now was to please you.
As Yuna continued to pleasure you with her incredibly skilled mouth, her hands released the base of your cock and moved down to cup your balls while she bobbed her head up and down, taking every inch of your throbbing cock into her warm, wet mouth. Her lips were locked around your tip as she swallowed every drop of pre-cum that oozed from the slit, her tongue working its magic as she eagerly sought to pleasure you. Her hands cupped your heavy balls, rolling them in her palms as she massaged them gently, her thumbs rubbing against the sensitive underside of each one as she teased them with her nails.
"Ahh... fuck... Yuna,"
Yuna's mouth was a perfect vacuum, her throat working overtime to take in every inch of your cock as she bobbed her head up and down, her lips sealing around the base of your shaft as she swallowed every drop of precum that oozed from the slit. She knew just how much pressure to apply to make you cum, her hand movements becoming more frantic as she rolled your balls in her palms. Her mouth never stopped working, her tongue lapping at your tip as she eagerly sought your cum.
"Oppa... I'm addicted to your cock,"
Yuna's voice was barely above a whisper as she spoke, her eyes half-lidded and full of desire as she stared up at you, her lips parted slightly as she awaited your command. Her cheeks were flushed, her skin glowing with excitement and arousal as she lay there before you, her tits heaving with each breath she took, her nipples standing erect as she waited for you to cum down her throat.
"Please... give me your cum... Daddy,"
Yuna's words were like a drug to you, her complete submission and obedience driving you wild with lust as you watched her lay there, waiting for you to fill her mouth with my hot, thick seed. Her eyes were fixed on yours, her expression pleading as she eagerly anticipated being filled with your creamy load. She wanted nothing more than to taste your essence, to feel it slide down her throat and coat her insides as she eagerly awaited your command to indulge in her new favorite pastime – pleasing you.
"Take all of it, Yuna... I want you to savor every last drop."
You felt your cock twitch as the first wave of pleasure washed over you, your balls tightening as they emptied their contents deep into Yuna's eager mouth. Your hips bucked involuntarily, your thighs clenched together as you tried to hold back the urge to shoot off even more, but you knew that Yuna would welcome every drop, would savor every moment of pleasure that you could give her. As you let go, Yuna eagerly accepted every drop, her tongue working furiously to lap up every last bit of your seed as she eagerly awaited more.
"Mmmm... that's it, Daddy, give me all of your cum~♡,"
Yuna's voice was a mix of pure ecstasy and total submission, her eyes closed as she eagerly lapped up every drop of cum that flooded her mouth. Her cheeks bulged as she struggled to take in as much as possible, her throat working overtime to accommodate the thick, creamy mixture that was pouring out of you. She relished in the taste of your essence, knowing that this was what she lived for, this was what made her feel alive and alive only for you.
"I love your cum, Daddy, please don't stop giving it to me,"
You couldn't help but smile, watching as Yuna eagerly accepted your cum, her face contorted in pleasure as she worked to take in every last drop. Her eyes were half-closed, her lips parted slightly as she eagerly awaited more, her tongue working furiously to clean up every last remnant of your seed from her mouth. Her body was trembling with desire, her pussy dripping with arousal as she eagerly awaited more, and she couldn't wait to indulge in it again and again.
"Now swallow it all, baby... show me how much you love Daddy's cum."
Yuna nodded eagerly, her eyes still closed as she swallowed your cum, her cheeks bulging with the thick, creamy mixture as she eagerly consumed it all. She took her time, savoring every last drop, her throat working overtime to take it all in. When she was finished, she opened her eyes, looking up at you with a mixture of satisfaction and desire in her gaze.
"Mmmm... thank you, Daddy," she said softly, "I love your cum so much."
Her voice was filled with absolute sincerity and adoration, her face flushed with pleasure as she eagerly awaited more of your seed to fill her hungry mouth.
You look out the window of the Car and realize we're getting close to our destination. "Baby we need clean up now we're almost at the location," I say as I put my still rock-hard cock back into my trousers and help Yuna sit back in her seat.
Yuna looked at you, her eyes shining with excitement and anticipation as she watched you put your still rock hard cock away,
"Yes, Oppa," she agreed softly, "we need to clean up before we arrive." She said as she sat back down. She then fixed herself up and wiped her face with some tissues
"Good girl!" I say to her. "From now on you belong to me and nobody else can have you do you understand bitch?" I whisper into her ear.
Yuna's eyes lit up with pure ecstasy and lust as she heard those words, her heart racing with excitement and desire. She knew that she belonged to you and no one else could ever have her, and that thought alone made her panties wet with desire.
"Yes, Master," she said softly, "you own me, and I am yours to command." Her voice was full of passion and sincerity, and she couldn't wait to prove just how much she loved being under your control and ownership.
"What do you want me to do next?" she asked, "What do you want me to say, or wear, or even who do you want to fuck next Master~?" she said in a sexy yet submissive tone.
"I bet one of your other members would love a taste of my cock. Who do you think is the biggest slut out of the three of them?"
Yuna bit her lower lip, thinking deeply about the question as she considered which of her bandmates might enjoy having sex with you the most.
"Ryujin would probably be the most excited," she answered after a moment, "She loves big dicks and being used in weird positions. Chaeryoung would also enjoy pleasuring you since she's always been curious about trying new things and experimenting with different positions."
Yuna hesitated for a moment, "And then there's Yeji, she might be hesitant at first because she's more reserved but deep down she wants to try new things too."
"Good girl. If you're lucky then maybe I'll let you watch as I fuck them." I say to her in a sultry tone.
Yuna's eyes sparkled with excitement at the thought of being able to watch you fuck her bandmates.
"Master, please do," she begged, "It would be such a turn-on for me to see you take Ryujin, Chaeryoung, and even Yeji while I watch."
She knew that being able to witness you taking her friends while she watched would push her over the edge into complete submission and make her feel like nothing more than a good little whore owned by you.
"Please, let me watch as you fuck them," she said, "and if you want, let me join in somehow." She added.
Don't get too greedy bitch. You've already had a fair share of my cock, and you got to drink my cum.
Yuna nodded, understanding what you meant,
"Master, I know," she said, "I don't want to be too greedy, I just want to watch and maybe play with them while you fuck them. And if you want me to join in, I'm willing to do anything you want me to do."
Yuna's heart raced with excitement and desire as she thought about watching her bandmates getting fucked by you while she played with them. The idea of being so close to them while they were being used by you made her pussy dripping wet.
"But please don't forget that I'm yours now Master, and all I want is to serve you and please you in any way possible." She said.
Good girl. Now we're here so let's get out and let you do your photoshoot.
Yuna smiled happily at your words,
"Thank you, Master, Please just remember that while I am still a K-Pop Idol, all I want is for you to watch me and think about how much of a good little slut I am for you."
As you walked towards the photo shoot location, Yuna couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in being able to showcase her talents in modeling for her new Master
"Please just enjoy watching me, Master," she whispered.
Nobody else can know about what happened here apart from the other members if you want to tell them, ok? I say to her in a commanding tone.
Yuna nodded, understanding her Master's words,
"Of course, Master, I want to keep our special moments just between us. That means that nobody else needs to know what happened here or what kind of depraved things we did together. It will be our little secret, just for you and me."
Yuna spoke with a smile on her face, knowing that keeping their relationship hidden from the public eye only made her feel more excited and turned on. The idea of being able to engage in such taboo and naughty behavior without anyone finding out only served to fuel her desire to be a better and more obedient slut for you.
"And please, Master, don't forget to remind me of my place whenever you think I should be reminded."
"Oh, trust me I will make sure you know your place from now on," I say to her
Yuna giggled,
"Oh yes, Master, please do. I need constant reminding of how much of a worthless little slut I am for you. It only serves to make me more eager to please you and serve you in any way possible."
Her voice was filled with a mix of happiness and excitement as she looked up at her Master with complete submission in her eyes. Yuna loved nothing more than being told how she belonged to you and how much you enjoyed using her as your personal plaything.
"Please, Master, continue to break me down and rebuild me into the perfect little slut that only exists to please and obey you."
The End.
I literally couldn't think of anything else tbh or how I would expand on it so this is just part 1 of my series I guess. 🙃 anyways thank you so much for reading my first-ever piece and I hope you enjoyed it 😊

listen while reading
“Hey, hop on in! I’m Kurt, I’m your Spree!”
You get into the car without a second thought, confirming on your app that your Spree has arrived, giving out instructions absentmindedly as you’re glued to your phone. Your driver is some… greasy haired somebody who was way too enthusiastic to be doing this job, and definitely didn’t know when to shut up.
“Heeyyy,” he croons, drumming his knuckles against the steering wheel as he navigates back onto the busy roads of L.A. “How y’all doin’?”
You don’t reply, eyes flicking up to see him looking back through the rearview mirror, a keen smile on his face. Your nails click-clack-click on your phone, along with the beat of the music on the radio, speeding up gradually as you type faster. He audibly scoffs, returning his attention to the road. “Also, hey, by the way, I’ve got these cameras here for privacy reasons. Gotta make sure my body will be avenged if one of my passengers kills me!” he chuckles good-naturedly, checking the rear view mirror to gauge your reaction. What the fuck does this guy want from me?
You look up slowly, popping your gum as your lip curls back in a slight sneer. “...Mmkay,” you mutter vacantly, sighing as your phone dies. You mutter a quiet curse under your breath, shoving it into your pocket and grabbing a bottle of water. You hear a little giggle from the driver’s seat as you do so.
“Sooo… where ya headed?” he chirps from the front seat, adjusting his phone- which isn’t even on a navigation app, it’s just… filming. Front camera, with comments coming in, a few pings from donations.
“...Are you fucking live?” you ask, leaning forward and stretching your seatbelt taut as you try to take a peek at the moving screen. “Dude, I didn’t know you were-”
His hand immediately shoots out to push you back, a loud, unnerving laugh escaping his lips as he swerves into another lane, tilting his phone juuuust right so the privacy screen obscures your view.
“Hey! Ever heard of personal space?” he snickers, seeing the look on your face. “Like I said, if you were listening, I have cameras for my own protection. Don’t hurt me!” He throws his hands up with a mocking scream, quickly dropping the bit so he can steer.
You sneer at him, looking around for a cord to plug your phone in. “I want that thing off, man. Please,” you mutter, covering your face. Multiple pings sound on his phone, and he leans forward to read the comments.
“@sincerelystarry, thank you so much for the $1.50!” he exclaims gleefully, making you roll your eyes. This bitch was making chump change. A robotic female voice reads out the comment that the donator made.
@sincerelystarry
umm isnt that the onlyfans
bitch??? lol howd u get a
hottie into ur dumpster kurt haha
“Hey, fuck off! It is not a dumpster. This shit is well organized, beautifully lit, and smells of fresh lemons and mint,” he protests, frowning at the screen.
You undo your seatbelt, leaning completely into the front seat and angling the phone away harshly, knocking it off the stand.
“Hey!” he yelps, skidding the car to a stop as he scrambles to set his phone back up, ignoring the honks behind him as he props it up again. He sighs in relief as the camera angle is straightened up again, glaring at you over his shoulder. “Jesus, dude, can you just- listen, just drink some water and chill.”
“Chill?! Some total random stranger who just happens to be my idiotic Spree driver is livestreaming this entire ride, and your bum ass wants me to-”
“@imperishablereverie! Thank you so much for the two dollars!” Kurt interrupts you, beaming at the camera, “Wow, this- I appreciate all of you guys so much, thank you- thank you! Thank you for sharing and spreading the hashtag ‘The Lesson,’ your support means the wor-” he’s abruptly cut off by a donator comment, read this time in a robotic man’s voice.
@imperishablereverie
haha omfg it totally is
that OF chick im on her
page rn
Kurt cocks his head as the comment is done being read, peering into the rear view mirror to see you and your pissed off expression. “...What’s OF?” he peeps out innocently.
Your jaw tenses at his question, face reddening. “It’s a job,” you manage to force out through gritted teeth. “A perfectly respectable job.”
@faiztsheap just donated $5!
she shows ppl her
pussy so they can
jack off lol
“Oh,” Kurt muses, seemingly unaware of your obvious state of embarrassment and rage. “Oh, so you’re, like…f-famous? I mean, hah! I’d assume so, considering my viewers know who you are, you seem pretty famous. Hey, do you have Instagram?”
You sit back into the backseat, looking disgusted. What the hell was this guy’s problem? “The fuck? Yes, I have Instagram,” you answer, cracking open the cap on the bottle of water.
“Don’t drink that!” he shrieks, turning around in the driver’s seat to smack it out of your hand, making water splash onto your legs and pool on the floor of the car. It all happens in a flash, and when you process it, he’s turned back around, driving and humming along to the radio cheerfully.
“So, this OnlyFans,” he says it like it’s a dirty word, hushed and secretive, “makes you a lotta money? And, uh… lots of clout too, I bet, heh.” Kurt pauses, meeting your gaze through the rear view mirror. “Is it just… ah, um- vaginas on there, or are penises allowed as well?”
You’re surprised a blood vessel doesn’t burst when you grit out a stiff reply. “Gender inclusive,” you grumble, “glad to have put you on.”
“Ohh, okay. That’s cool!” he pauses at a red light, turning around and smiling. “Do you wanna see my boner?”
“Okay, that’s it. Let me out of this fucking car," you demand, pounding on the back of his seat. “Pull the fuck over!”
“Yeesh, dramatic much?” he laughs, obliging either way. He pulls over to the side of the road as you grab your things with a huff and a short glare at him. Fucking weirdo. “Listen, thank you for riding in my Spree today! Um, I would just love if you could tag me on your Instagram- I’m kurtsworld96, and post it with hashtag ‘The Lesson.’”
You scoff at him, opening the car door. “Not a chance in hell, pervert,” you sneer, getting out of the car and slamming the door, ignoring his whines and pleas. Eventually, he gives up and drives off, and you’re left to wring the water out of your shirt, muttering under your breath as you head into your building.
It must be hours later when he shows up again. You’re monitoring your page, checking subscriber counts and recent donations, when you get a new message in your inbox- from kurtsworld69. You narrow your eyes, the current task forgotten as you navigate your mouse over to your inbox, clicking open the message.
kurtsworld69 sent you a message!
Haha hey its kurt from earlier!
your spree driver haha
I joined! Im an onlyfans person now!
Do u get my username? Haha get it because im kurtsworld 96 but now im kurtsworld69
its a sex thing haha
Wanna collab?
And below, he had attached a dick pic. You groan under your breath, moving to block his user when he sends another picture, this one blurred and needing to be clicked on to reveal the image. You click on it to be met with a picture of… you. Taken from outside the window, blurry and unfocused, but clearly you, slouched over your computer in just a t-shirt and underwear. You sit up straight, looking around frantically.
@girliism
what the fuck???? are you at my house?????
There’s an infuriating lack of a reply, until another image pings into your inbox. Similar to the first one, it’s you from outside the house, but now there’s a hand in frame, holding up a gun. Pointing it directly at your head, through the pane of glass. Panic shoots through your core as you gape at the image, unsure of what to think of it. It could be a prop gun, it could be photoshop, but the chilling feeling entering your bones and making your gut twist said the opposite. This wasn’t a prank. This was real.
kurtsworld69
I asked you a question
wanna collab or not?
You swear you can hear footsteps growing closer, the cocking of the gun. You can imagine the bullet flying into your head, the laugh that would sound as your body hit the floor. You type back with shaky fingers, ignoring the tightness in your chest.
@girliism
ok
fine
please get off my property
The response is immediate, and if you strain your ears, you can hear traipsing footsteps through the grass, moving further and further away. You visibly relax, letting out a shaky breath.
kurtsworld69
yay!
Can i eat your out?

@rvfecamerons has asked me to write this amazing idea she came up with. I hope this didn’t disappoint. Thank you again babe! 💕💕💕

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
You had never really been much of a troublemaker, always listening to your elders and being respectful to everyone, even those less fortunate than you. After you turned 19, you started to become more independent. Going out to parties, taking trips to the mainland to shop by yourself, and even to her dismay, talking to boys.
Rafe had been the one to suggest getting the AirTag to put in your car. He wanted you to always be safe and to ease her worries, at least that's what he told his wife. The real reason being much darker than that. He had been sickly obsessed with you since the moment he laid eyes on your pretty self. No boy was going to touch you as long as he had control of it, and getting the AirTag installed was just the kind of control he needed.
For the last month, he had been stalking everywhere you went through the handy app on his phone. Even got in his own car and drove by a few places to check and see if the damn thing was working. Your innocent little self didn’t suspect a thing either, which is what made you so naive to the situation.
It had been like any other night. Your mother and you had gone out to dinner while Rafe worked late. She being oblivious to the fact you were texting your guy friend, who had invited you over. She never thought you would actually sneak out, you were too much of a sweetheart to do that. It was much to her surprise though, when your room was empty and car was gone at 1:00 in the morning. She immediately thought of the AirTag, Rafe had installed a moth prior, running back to their shared room.
This was the moment he had been waiting for. To catch you being the little slut he knew you were. The GPS on, he zoomed towards your location until the icy white Mercedes with a bedazzled North Carolina tag came into view. The only car there. He shut the truck off, letting his muscular 6’2 frame stalk towards the door. His usual light blue eyes, turned pitch black as soon as he barged through the door. “Bozo’s” tongue down your throat as you laid on the couch.
Gripping the shirt, the boy wore, Rafe teared him off of you. His fist immediately connecting with the boy’s jaw. You sat still, in complete shock by multiple things. Your head was spinning, how did your step-dad find you? How did someone punch one time to have teeth falling out? You knew that your step-father had a violent past but to quite literally see the boy you liked getting beaten to death, had not only scared but something else. Something that made your princess parts tingle.
“Rafe.” You whispered, the boy you had been making out with now bruised and battered as your step-father towered above him.
One look up and Rafe’s hand was gripping your arm, yanking you off the couch. He took your keys and purse in the other, dragging you towards the still open door. You winced, trying to get out of his grip but ultimately failed as he literally threw you in the passenger seat of his truck.
The tires screeched as he sped off, zooming down the empty roads of Kildare. His jaw was tight, the vein in his forehead protruding as he boiled in anger. “I knew that innocent act you pull all the time was a load of shit.” His voice so low it made goosebumps rise on your skin.
“You think I’m stupid, huh? That I don’t know you are a fucking slut. You can hide it from your mom, but not from me. I could tell you were a slut from the moment I met you. Batting those ridiculous lashes at me.”
“Not a slut..” You mumbled, looking down. He was berating you with every sentence he spoke, his words nasty and degrading.
The laugh that came from him was sarcastic almost menacing, he glanced over at you for a moment, truck swerving in the process. “You know I told your mom that girls like you need some discipline. Been too fucking spoiled all your life.”
You swallowed the lump in your throat, tearing your gaze away as you tried to stay relaxed in the car ride from hell. You noticed Rafe turning a few streets too early, making your frown. The street leading towards Figure 8 was nothing but trees, making it dark and desolate. You were about to ask what he was doing when the car came to a hault. It came too fast, one second you were being yanked out of your seat and the next you were being pushed against the bed of the truck.
“Rafe.. what are you doing?” You whispered, feeling the cool air hit your exposed bottom from the short skirt you wore.
“Shut up and listen.” His voice boomed, a hard smack to your ass from his hand, making you squeak out. “I’m a proactive type of person. So that means when I say I’m gonna discipline you, you are going to get disciplined.”
You weren’t expecting him to spank you, your ass cheek now stinging from just one hit. You hated yourself and more importantly your cunt for clenching around nothing at the pure wrongness of this. You felt just how damp your panties were getting, wishing you hadn’t worn a skirt or better yet had not even snuck out that night.
The sound of a zipper being pulled down and the clank of a belt, had you turning your head. It was a quick look as your head was roughly pushed down onto the hard plastic of the bed of his truck.
“Rafe..” You whimpered, head burning. “No..”
The taller man behind you, yanked your skirt up, tearing your soaked panties in one go. The dark sounding chuckle behind you was all you needed to hear to know that something bad was about to happen.
“You wanna act like a slut. You get treated like a slut.” His voice rough as he shoved his length inside you with no warning. “Show you what real dick is, since you wanna find out so bad.”
He was huge. Bigger than anything you ever could have imagined. You had only lost your virginity a few months prior and hadn’t had sex since. The burn and stretch to your hole was brutal, tears pooling in your eyes from the pain. The control he had over you though was powerful and you couldn’t bring yourself to fight back.
“What was that earlier? Not a slut.” He growled, yanking your head up by the hair. His hand came to grip your jaw tightly, dark blue eyes boring into your soul. “Why you dripping down your thighs, huh?”
Truth be told, you didn’t know why. Your step father was gorgeous to look at, and a part of you didn’t want to ever disappoint him. That was no reason to be soaking his cock though as he held you down against your will.
“Cat got your tongue?” He laughed, ramming inside you at a cruel pace, making you take his monster of a dick.
“Too.. too much.. please.” You begged, your lower stomach on fire as your first orgasm was already approaching. His hand moved down to your throat, clasping it in a tight grip. You felt your oxygen being cut, the lightheadedness coming to your brain as he squeezed hard.
“Awe don’t please me, pretty girl. You shouldn’t have been such a disrespectful little bitch, if you didn’t want to learn this kind of lesson.” Rafe’s words making you clench around his cock.
You tried to cry out, the pleasure of him taking over your body whether you wanted it to come or not. You quite literally thought that this was it. Being strangled to death, while your step-dad’s dick was buried inside you. But as you came down from your orgasm, the grip from your neck released, making you gasp for breath.
“I sure do hope that you don’t think this is over.” He breathed heavily. “Your daddy’s girl now little bitch. Got that? I catch you fucking around with another clown, I will kill you.”
You knew he had never been more serious.

Uber Driver for the Dead
Creepypasta x Reader
Part 1?? Maybe?
T.W. : Swearing, Blood, Gore, Folks are dead, kinda sad?, it’s a creepypasta fic, lowkey a crack fic but whatever
Written in 2nd person P.O.V
As a broke college kid, you only wanted to make a quick buck. To have enough money for drinks, or DoorDashing Taco Bell, or even a new set of headphones. Living outside a large city, Uber seemed like a perfect option. A massive international airport meant tons of people would need rides, and it was a goldmine for Ubers.
So, you signed up. The first few jobs were normal. Some were picking up people and taking them to the airport, some were driving people home from bars in the early morning hours, and others were business men going to important meeting. Nonetheless, it paid decent money.
A few weeks ago, however, you got a strange ride. It was someone who needed to be picked up and dropped off at the airport. As you drove, the world around you seemed different. The trees, no matter how green, seemed lifeless. The world felt drained, as if it wasn’t filled with life. You slowed to a stop near an old house, a man stood on the side of the road.
You rolled down your window, but before you could speak the man wordlessly climbed into the backseat. He wore all black, a Cubs baseball cap, and a black mask over his lower face. You went to speak again, but the man reached into his pocket and pulled out a wad of cash. He offered it to you, and when you accepted and counted it, you couldn’t believe it.
$500.00.
You shut up and drove. It was a silent ride to the airport, only the sounds of your breathing and the faint noise of the radio filled the air. As you were pulling into the airport, the man moved his mask for a moment. You caught his movement in the rear view mirror and stopped.
The man was missing the lower part of his face. His lower jaw was gone, the only visible indication of teeth were the empty gums on the top portion. You could make out where the hinge of the jaw used to be, but the back of his throat made it difficult to tell if he even still had the jaw part of his skull. As quickly as he took it off, he put it back on.
You pulled to a stop and the man got out. He didn’t say a word, but entered the airport and disappeared. You sat for a moment, unable to comprehend what you had just seen. It wasn’t until the whistle of the traffic guard pulled you out of your daze. You moved and pulled off, immediately heading home. Unfortunately, this would not be the first Uber drive for the dead.
A few nights later, you picked up an elderly women. She was sweet, offering you a handful of Dum-Dum suckers. The women, as sweet as she was, was partly see through. That was the give away that she was already gone. You cried a lot that night, after hearing that she was going to watch over her daughter and grandchildren. When you dropped her off at a house in a large suburban neighborhood, she disappeared in front of your eyes.
It continued like that for weeks. You no longer picked up regular passengers, but the dead and paranormal. From war veterans to demons, you drove them around the large city and smaller towns surrounding it. You quickly learned that those rides paid much more than any living person.
One night, you found a job on the app. It seemed easy enough. Pick up this guy simply named “Jeff” and drop him off at another spot. So you drove quickly and arrived in a neighborhood. You pulled up to the house that was given to you, fear wracking your body. It was lit ablaze, screaming coming from within. Before you knew it, a man was sitting in your passenger seat and yelling at you to drive. You don’t know why, but you listened.
You sped away from the burning building, taking back roads and gravel paths. It wasn’t long before you ended up driving on a barely paved road lined by trees. You glanced at the man, taking in his odd features. Pasty white skin, dark circles hung around his eyes, black hair painted on his face. And the most noticeable, the large, joker like smile carved into his cheeks. He spoke first, breaking the tense silence.
“So it is true? There really is a chick driving around dead people?” He looked like he could barely contain his laughter.
“Huh-? Oh, I guess?” You quietly responded.
“Ben was right! Oh damn- that’s funny,” he chuckled, it was dark and ominous. “How the hell did you even get into this?”
“Great question. One second I’m driving around normal people and the next? A dead dude is sitting in my backseat,” you tried to explain.
“Oh damn,” he laughed loudly, “that’s actually too good! What shit luck,” he threw his head back in laughter. A few minutes went by as he controlled himself, the dense trees surrounding you both.
“So what’s your deal? Typically I only pick up dead people?” You looked at him again. He was breathing.
“I’m special- and cool as fuck,” he sure was special all right. You rolled your eyes before he spoke again. “Here, drop me off. This is close enough.”
You pulled to a stop, leaning the car off the shoulder of the road. He quickly hoped out, looking back at you with a large grin on his face. He waved, a large kitchen knife in his hand.
“I’ll tell Ben you’re actually real- he’s gonna’ loose his shit. Thanks for the ride,” and with that, he walked away. You sat for a moment, watching as he disappeared into the thick forest. As quickly as you stopped, you pulled away and began the drive back to your apartment.
It was strange. You didn’t pick up living people, so why him? Who was he? And who was Ben? Questions swirled through your mind as you entered your apartment and got ready for bed. It was late, nearing 2:00 A.M. The entire world seemed so still and you couldn’t help but feel watched. As you sat in bed, scrolling mindlessly on your phone, you got a message.
“thanks for the ride I’ll be using ur services again”
You could only assume it was from whoever Jeff was. How did he get your number? You put your phone away, deciding that you needed sleep. As you slept, a number of new contacts appeared in your phone.

⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀𝐎𝓥𝐄𝐑𝐃𝐑𝐈𝓥𝐄 - yu jimin
␥ karina x fem!reader ␥ 916 words 🚨 choking, overstimulation, dacryphilia (?), praise ␥ you swore to never work for a rideshare app again but getting laid off leaves you no choice. you end up becoming someone’s getaway driver, not realizing you’re in for way more than you bargained for. ␥ A/N inspired by this ask (and reblogs) from ages ago. also could be read as (sort of?) optional bias since i realized i never used her name here. 🧍🏻♀️ and it took me this long to write for my bias? 🤪
You never wanted to go back to Uber but after being laid off and having bills due soon, you had no choice.
You earned the most when you drove around the airport, downtown, and during late-night hours, which were windows to some of the craziest things you’ve previously experienced as a driver. You’ve gotten caught up in a drug deal and bank heist before, which was why you swore to never be an app driver again.
Every ride, you hoped that your passengers were normal law-abiding citizens who just needed a ride to the local market or something. Fortunately, they had been.
Until you made the mistake of driving off with a passenger who wasn’t the one that ordered a ride from you.
She had run up to your car—impressively in heels—and slammed the door shut as if she was being chased, shouting for you to drive off before you even get a chance to confirm you’re picking up the right person. Meeting her sharp eyes in your rear view mirror startled you into stepping on the gas because in the pit of your guts, you were uncertain if you were in harm’s way again and ignoring her might actually put your life on the line.
The ride had been silent, your actual passenger that you’d driven past being one of the only two thoughts crossing your mind after you had hovered a shaky hand over your phone, that’s mounted to the air vent, to cancel her request. You didn’t know where you were driving, and you couldn’t accept any other ride that were popping up on your app. There were more red areas on the map, indicating major activity and hefty tips that you could’ve gotten your hands on had you refused to let the mysterious raven-haired beauty in your car.
She stared out the window for what felt like hours. She didn’t utter a word and you were too afraid to ask questions. You aimlessly drove around, hoping she would finally say something and end this torture.
When she abruptly met eyes with you in the mirror again, you startled.
You tried to break the ice and asked for her destination, but what followed was more silence, a sudden request to park in the parking lot of an abandoned warehouse, and two-word commands for you to step out and join her in the backseat where she ended up breaking you.
You’re seated on her lap with your back pressed against her chest and her hand wrapped around your throat. Taunting words brush over your ear, inducing a chill that ripples down your spine as three of her fingers are inside you. Your body horribly betrays you as your car echoes with the filthy squelches of your dripping pussy and your cries as she violates you.
Nonetheless, you part your legs wider and buck against her hand, tears pricking the corners of your eyes from your morals dissipating and your desire to be broken burning. With your leggings torn at your crotch and bearing the stains of your pleasure, you’re reduced to nothing but a moaning mess for a gorgeous stranger who may or may not be dangerous.
She squeezes tighter, her well-manicured nails threatening to pierce the soft skin of your throat, a low praise of ‘good girl’ uttered at the shell of your ear threatening the sliver of sanity you have left. You catch your breath when she releases her grip, which moves down your clavicle to tear at the collar of your tee. She yanks at your bra, unveiling your breast for the palm of her hand, and kneads in tandem with the pace of her fingers.
Your head lolls back over her shoulder, hoarse moans polluting your once-silent vehicle as she fucks you harder. Tension grips at your limbs, your toes curling as her curled digits reach that spot. The spot where you need her most.
“Come on, baby,” she purrs with a sly smirk. “Give it to me.”
You oblige on cue. Your eyes roll back as you soil her hand in the midst of ecstasy, your wetness dirtying her dress, her lap, and the back of the seat. She didn’t spare you mercy before, and she’s definitely not sparing you now.
She toys with you until you think you’ve given her your all. As soon as you fall limp, she slips back inside you and you swiftly ascend to your brink once more, the sensitivity blurring your vision with white dots as you gush all over her.
She refuses to let you recuperate. Just when you think it’s over, she makes her unwelcome return, her expert fingers repeatedly bringing you to ecstasy like a broken film. She gets off on your tears and pleas because they’re a stark contrast to you squirting all over her and dirtying your car in the process. When she’s had her fill, she shifts you off her lap like a discarded toy and finally steps out without a word, leaving you alone in the abandoned parking lot.
With the silence and post coital clarity setting in, you sit up straight and stare at the mess you made. You don’t need a mirror to know that you do not look presentable to customers at all.
Fortunately, it’s still early in the morning. You can rush home, clean yourself and your car up, and still have a whole day to earn money.
You just hope that you don’t have another potentially dangerous or salacious run-in again.

rafe walks towards the door not allowing you to get out another word. next thing you know you hear the engine of a motorcycle driving away.

Deep Down, Sky High

Jackson leaned against the cramped airplane bathroom counter, a sly smirk playing across his lips. The gentle hum of the plane engines was punctuated by the soft gurgling coming from his belly, which bulged noticeably under his fitted hoodie. The chiseled contours of his abdomen were only exaggerated by the unusual distention, every ridge and dip of his muscles more pronounced.
With his free hand, he pulled out his phone, opening the camera app. In the dimly lit space, he adjusted himself to get the best angle. Lifting the hem of his hoodie, he revealed his distended abdomen. The shape was undeniable; there, just above his navel and slightly to the right, was a pronounced bulge, the unmistakable outline of a head pressing softly against the taut skin. You could almost see the despair etched in the features compressed against his toned stomach.
"Guess you should've remembered to lock the door, huh?" Jackson whispered, addressing the subtle movements from within, the almost imperceptible shifts of discomfort. He trailed a finger down from the tip of the head bulge, tracing its path along the curve of his belly, feeling the shivers it induced inside.
He aimed his camera at the mirror, ensuring that his face and the distinct bulge were both in view. The tight confines of the bathroom only accentuated the size of his stomach, making it appear even more prominent. A flash pierced the dimness as he snapped the picture.
His fingers rapidly moving on the screen's keyboard, typing a caption for his new snapshot, "Note to self: always lock the door at 30,000 feet." With a chuckle, Jackson admired his handiwork for a moment before saving the image, a little keepsake for himself, and then posting it to his close circle.
Taking one last glance at the mirror, he gave his belly a more forceful pat, feeling the muffled protest from within. "Hang tight," he teased, pressing down right where the head-shaped bulge was, eliciting a frantic series of squirms and movements. "We've still got a few hours left in this flight."
Jackson, taking a deep breath, nudged the bathroom door open. Stepping out into the dimly lit aisle.
As he began to make his way back to his seat, he could feel every jolt and tremor of the plane resonate through the heavily distended belly under his hoodie. Each step sent a light ripple across the protruding form, the undeniable shape of a person compressed within the confines of his muscled abdomen. It was like walking with an overinflated beach ball strapped to him.
The fabric of his hoodie strained, attempting to accommodate the bulk beneath it. The pronounced shape of a head, arms, and even the bend of knees were visible, making him feel slightly self-conscious. He could sense eyes on him, fellow passengers probably attributing his appearance to overeating or some medical condition. But Jackson was in too deep now; there was no turning back.
He reached his row, pausing for a moment. The challenge of sitting with such a significant addition to his physique suddenly dawned on him. He angled himself, attempting to slide past the passenger next to the aisle. The tightness of the space forced his belly to brush up against the stranger, causing another series of frantic movements within. Jackson whispered a quick apology for the disturbance, his face coloring slightly.
Once at his seat, Jackson faced his next challenge: how to sit. He turned, angling his hips and trying to slowly lower himself into the tight airplane seat. His belly's girth, however, made the process a game of adjustment. The armrest dug into his side, prompting a small grunt of discomfort. The buckling of the seatbelt was another ordeal, the strap barely reaching around the expansive midsection.
Finally settled, Jackson leaned back, allowing his hoodie to ride up just a tad, revealing the bottommost part of his belly. The dim overhead light cast a shadow, highlighting the clearly defined silhouette of the person inside him. He placed a hand atop the most prominent bulge, feeling the heat emanating from it, the soft, muffled pleas for release.
Breathing heavily from the exertion and feeling the compressive force from the tight airplane seat, Jackson let out a sigh.
He reclined in his seat, feeling the gentle throb and pulse of the human within his belly. He placed an earbud into one ear, leaving the other free to enjoy the symphony of muffled pleas and the subtle sounds of his digestive system at work. Picking up his phone, he began scrolling through a playlist to listen to on his XM4.
Leaning his head close to his prominent belly, he whispered softly, "Hey there, you comfy? Probably not the flight experience you were expecting, huh?" A muted squirm replied to him, making him grin. "You know, I was going to watch a movie, but I think feeling you break down might be the best in-flight entertainment I've ever had."
Jackson began flicking through the in-flight entertainment system. Choosing a thriller. As the film progressed, Jackson ordered a fizzy drink from the passing cart, sipping it slowly. Each gulp sent more liquid down, making his belly gurgle in response. "There you go," he chuckled. "A little mixer for the main course. Hope you like cola."
An hour or so into the flight, feeling a bit peckish, Jackson decided to order some in-flight snacks. Munching on peanuts, he said, "You must be getting lonely in there. Don't worry, you'll have some company soon." Finishing his snack and sipping on his drink, he felt a gentle burp rising. "Excuse me," he murmured with a smirk, thinking of the added pressure the trapped air would cause inside.
Throughout the flight, between reading a bit, occasionally nodding off, and enjoying his music, Jackson continuously returned to the sensation in his gut. Each little squirm, each desperate push against his abdominal walls, just added to his satisfaction.
Jackson, feeling the descent of the airplane, adjusted his seat. The jostling from the change in altitude made his belly quiver, and he could feel an especially desperate set of wriggles from within, almost as if the person inside had some hope of escape as the plane touched down.
Leaning in, Jackson smirked as he whispered, "You feeling that? We're touching down in Ibiza. Ever been? Well, I guess this isn't the way you imagined visiting, huh?" He chuckled softly, feeling more pronounced movements as the realization hit his unwilling passenger.
"Beautiful beaches, amazing nightlife, and my favorite, the sizzling sun," Jackson continued, his voice dripping with mischief. "You and I, we're gonna spend a lot of time on those beaches. Just think about it. While I'm basking in the sun, catching a tan, you'll be in here," he tapped his swollen midriff, "experiencing a whole different kind of heat. The summer sun outside and the burning acids inside. A real tropical getaway for you."
He felt another series of frantic pushes against his belly wall, and he tightened his abdominal muscles in response, constraining his prey even further. "Oh, by the way, Ibiza might be your destination, but this," he patted his gut, "is your final stop. The last destination of your journey. I hope you're prepared for the coming days."
Jackson grinned, relishing the idea of parading around with his swollen belly, feeling every jolt, every pang of the digestive process. "It's gonna be a long, brutal few days for you," he added with a dark chuckle. "And by the time I'm ready to head back, well...you'll have become a permanent part of my vacation memories."

The Captain Who Loved Me (1/2)
Pairing: Trafalgar Law x reader
Content: Angst, Reader is hurt/unconscious (briefly), reader tries to run away from their problems, ends up in a dangerous situation, themes of fear/ danger!, fluff afterwards, sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors!
Word Count: ~1.6k
A/N: Hey… Sorry it’s been so long! My life has been busy, to say the least. Borderline chaotic, but I don’t want to make it out to be a bad thing when there are so many amazing things and people in my life right now. However, there have been a few personal events that have made me less motivated/ less focused on writing. I’m sorry for making you all wait for updates/ requests, but I genuinely am just lacking a lot of interest in writing fanfic at the moment. Still, J appreciate all of your support so so much <3 It makes my day when I go on this app and see that people are still enjoying things I’ve written! So, I hope you enjoy this one too. (Part 1/2 bc i want to do a shorter ending.)
Part 3
Law hadn't thought that when you said you would “go,” you wouldn't really try to leave. And in all fairness, neither had you. You just started walking away from him, way too peeved to even look back or slow down when you heard his stuttered “wait!” And when you got back to your cabin, you picked up a backpack. Then you had filled it with only the essentials (the same way you would pack to go inland for a day or possibly longer.) And finally, with no purpose in your plan besides getting away for a little while and clearing your mind, you headed below deck to the Soldier Dock System.
Franky named this deck the Soldier Dock System because, as he had once explained to you, all of the smaller vehicles housed within the Sunny are like her soldiers. The memory makes you smile as you quietly open the door and close it behind you, then stroll along the small walkway until you spot what you came down here for in the first place: The Mini Merry 2. She bobs in shallow water and seems to call to you; “Get in! Let’s go!”
You’re too tired to make the right decision, so you quickly open channel 2 of the dock system, drop your bag into the passenger seat, and climb in after. An opening on the side of the Sunny lets in higher waters, which carry the Mini Merry out to sea…
~
“Have you seen y/n?”
Zoro’s head snaps up to the other swordsman. The two don’t converse much outside of what's necessary, so he's surprised to see the equally stoic man standing over him while he “naps” (keeps watch) in the crows nest. He shakes his head.
“Nope.”
“Aren’t you supposed to be keeping watch?”
“Yeah, on the ocean. Not my own crew mates.”
Law scoffs, and mutters; “Thanks for nothing.”
Zoro can tell the other captain is annoyed for some reason, and decides to throw him a bone. “Traffy!”
“What?”
“Check the lower levels. They might be hanging out in someone’s workshop… or whatever.”
Law regards Zoro with a suspicious gaze, but it soon turns to one of quiet thanks. He nods and leaves through the hatch in the crows nest.
Cool sea air hits him stronger than expected as soon as he exits the confines of the crows nest. With one hand and both feet planed (somewhat) firmly on the rope ladder, Law leans back to view the weather. A storm is brewing on the horizon, which shouldn’t be any problem for a ship as massive and advanced as the Thousand Sunny. The navigator/thief had briefed everyone on board on the gloomy weather that night after dinner, and though Law had been too distracted by thoughts of you, he had managed to pay a little bit of attention for the sake of important information. You hadn’t been at the impromptu meeting regarding the sea and sky’s conditions, so he had just assumed you were probably resting in your cabin already. No reason to worry over your safety if you were already fast asleep, right?
But as Law continues to survey the waters surrounding his temporary residence, he spots an anomaly. A tiny boat, rocking on the water as the ocean seems to send more violent waves its way. With squinted eyes, Law observes the miniature ship. It’s hard to see through the oncoming rain, but he can make out the lone passenger’s bent knees. They’re apparently trying to brace themselves as they struggle with the steering mechanism at the front of the boat, and their hair is whipped every which way about their face by winds that must be much stronger that far out at sea. It’s hard to make out their features because of the rain that comes down in sheets over their mysterious figure, but when he finally catches a glimpse of their face, Law’s heart drops to the pit of his stomach.
He watches in horror as, what he now recognizes as your ship, is tossed back and forth on the tumultuous waves. You look over your shoulder and back at the Sunny, before you lose your balance. But your head seems to be struck by something at the front of the ship during your short fall, based on the way you first wobble, almost find your footing by leaning forwards, then jolt backwards. Law yells your name at the top of his lungs, but you do not move.
~
When you open your eyes to find yourself tucked into your bed, you think nothing of it. That is, until the throbbing pain in the center of your forehead reveals itself to you. Then the memories of a storm all come flooding back: the freedom you had felt in your first few moments in open water, alone with your thoughts. How quickly that sense of calmness had turned to panic as the weather changed in an instant, leaving you to desperately try to steer back towards the Sunny in a boat no taller than yourself. Slipping on the small deck, only for your head to hit something and… black out. And you remember Law’s voice, too; he had sounded so distant that it must have been your imagination .
The soft creak of your bedroom door draws you from the rush of memories, and you look up to find Chopper making his way into your room with a tray. He doesn’t realize your eyes are open until he’s set it down on a bedside table, and climbed up onto your bed with a stethoscope in hand.
“Y/n! You’re awake!” he gasps.
You offer a weak smile and attempt to sit up, but the reindeer gently pushes you back down. “Chopper… What happened?”
“You had an accident during the storm 3 days ago-“
“3 days ago?”
“Yes, Nami briefed the crew on it. But then Traffy found you on the Mini Merry 2, a mile from the ship!”
“I- I didn’t know there would be a storm…”
Chopper frowns while placing his stethoscope on your chest. You take 2 deep breaths in and he nods to himself before simply sitting beside you. “What were you doing out there?”
You shrug, “I just wanted to clear my head.”
He pays your arm, “I don’t know what’s going on between you and Traffy, but he cares for you a lot. He used his devil fruit to save you in the middle of the ocean, which… could have ended badly.”
This strikes a chord within you. Of course you knew Law cared for you to some degree, but knowing that he put his own safety on the line to help you in your time of need… Perhaps it was wrong of you to assume he was selfish and cold for refusing to admit what was so glaringly obvious to everyone else. What is now so clear to you, too.
He loves you.
“Oh… And is he-“
“He’s fine, but I prescribed him some much needed rest from coming in contact with sea water.”
Chopper finishes examining you and gives you some pain medication for your head, then leaves you alone to properly wake up and get yourself together. To no surprise, your alone time doesn’t last long as an influx of visitors find their way to your cabin.
First are Nami and Robin, who knew you were awake from hearing your voice through shared walls. They come with a small bouquet of flowers from Robin’s garden in a pretty little decorative vase, and each make themselves comfortable in your room. Though the door is closed, Luffy excitedly barges in soon after, followed by Usopp, then Chopper again. He scolds the two young men for disturbing your peace and possibly riling you up, but you assure the even younger doctor that it’s more than fine. Because, in your opinion, there’s nothing like your nakama’s company to raise your spirits. Zoro must have wandered in at some point and decided to take a nap on your floor, which you only realize when Sanji opens the door and hits the swordsman’s leg when he (gently) kicks it open. They resolve to only glare at each other for a moment before Sanji hands you a cup of something warm and sweet, “For someone warm and sweet.”
The 8 of you spend some time chatting and enjoying your company before you find the courage to ask, “Where is everyone else?”
“Jimbei is steering the ship-“
“Brook is keeping watch-
“And Franky is working below deck. Something about improving the Mini Merry 2… But that’s not really what you wanted to know, is it?”
You feel your face heat up as you meet Robin’s all-knowing eye and shake your head “no.” She smiles at you and giggles pass between your crew mates.
Your friends file out of your room (or are ushered out by Nami and Robin, rather, who insist that you should get some more rest.) But soon enough, there’s yet another knock at your door. Your breath hitches, as you feel you already know who’s on the other side…
“Come in.”
