think about Donna and photography again,,,,,,

Donna, my best girl Donna, who was brought back to life from other's memories of her, frankensteined together from these snapshots of other people's version of her. Donna who owes her life and existence to this capturing of her likeness, praying that their remembrance rings true.

Every photograph is reciprocal: I am who you see me as and this is how I see you.

She gives them back the gift of recognition.

somehow I knew ahead of time that I would love Scraps, and I did, as soon as I read The Patchwork Girl of Oz, what a dang trip and Scraps is such a darling. love how irreverent she is, such a dang icon.

not a dang clue how I'd go about stylizing her crazy quilt design, maybe I'll figure that out later. for the sake of my sanity I'd have to simplify the patterns.

I also freshened up my take on Scarecrow, I love the teardrop shaped painted on nose, so that'll at least make him stand a little from the various illustrated versions of Strasheela, haha.

my great-grandmother was a quilter. stitched beautiful murals with thread and twine. patched up our clothes with fabric and our souls with love. now she’s gone and i’m bursting from the seams with homesickness and she cannot sew me up anymore. so today is a day to wrap myself in her blankets and dream of her.

Who says the fifth month of a year is too late to begin something?

this month has been very busy. i have been keeping up my lacemaking, weaving and drop spindle spinning but also began to card and spin on a spinning wheel i got extremely cheap with money from my mamma that i was left

i also helped complete the derby museum's quilt of connection which i have been helping with since march and finally decorated my en suite and bedroom after a year of living in this house

that tudor rose was made over ten years ago, before i as an alter had even formed, when we were fourteen and just beginning our two gcse years and now come october we will be in university

excited to see what june brings

If you could, what would you talk to them about?

I'd probably ramble about my favorite childhood games with Tomura: Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus Spyro, Sonic The Hedgehog. He'd probably tease me for sucking at Super Smash Bros 😆

I'd talk about my favorite movies and books with Kai, romance, scary movies, and mystery thrillers; plus, a couple of classics like Dracula, Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, Dr Jykell and Mr Hyde, Dante's Inferno, Grim Brother's Fairytales, and The Hunchback of Norte Dame, to name a few. He'd probably say something about me liking the darker stuff or overall sappy stuff.

Aside from sharing our dislike for both Endeavor or Hawks.... I'm honestly, not sure with Touya? I'd probably smile and blush like an idiot commenting that it's cute how he's the big brother of the league, even if, he won't admit it 🤭
