So I was just thinking about this early image of Limbus' chapter select and how Faust's chapter is last which, don't get me wrong, does make sense. She seems to be the most important to the overall story.

BUT. Something did hit me while thinking about it. In Faust's EGO, the room is white

Like. Entirely white. We see in Canto 4 and Leviathan that N. Corp's buildings are ALSO almost entirely white. This got me thinking.

What if Faust's equivalent to a "Deal with the Devil" is a deal she made with N. Corp to gain the knowledge to make Mephistophiles, and Faust's chapter will involve us finding out what her side of the deal was, and perhaps even betraying us. This could perhaps even come with a reveal that Faust, and Limbus as a whole, doesn't have a way to bring Garnet back. Who knows how that may go.

I know this doesn't add much BUT

Both Lobotomy Corp and Library of Ruina [spoilers for those that haven't played] end with important characters betraying us. [Angela and Roland respectfully].

Patchy the pirate and why he's great:

Come to think of it...

Patchy may have been the reason why I never outgrew cartoons.

I remember seeing The Lost Episode special a.k.a. The sponge who could fly when I was little, meeting him for the first time and I was instantly invested in the character.

First there was the live-action segment that was unexpected in what I thought would only be a cartoon and it was just so much fun watching flesh and blood characters do gags that were supposed to only be done with cartoon characters.

I actually thought that you could get to do those things in real life and I can't tell you how disapointed I was in never finding a literal forked tree. (Also, the joke gets lost in the spanish translation so I never figured it was a pun and kept thinking it was an actual tree out there).

Speaking of which, I got so excited about going out on a pirate treasure hunt to find the Lost Episode and I treated it with as much seriousness as Patchy did, like we had to find the episode or else.

So when Patchy found the chest with the tape of the episode I trully felt like we had conquered it all and come out with the ultimate prize.

But then, when Patchy has his breakdown and starts to wreck his beloved Spongebob merchendise over feeling betrayed by his hero, I felt really bad for him and got very worried for him (Shut up Potty! You insensitve bird!), until the TV anounced the real Lost Episode and I was so relived for the pirate.

But what trully drew me in to Patchy as a character was the fact that he was such an unapologetic fan of a square yellow sea sponge even as an adult!

I think that's what made me realize that there was nothing wrong with liking cartoons even after I grew older. The way he was so commited to the adorable fry cook that he became the president of his fan club.

The way he was so willing to endure the seven trails of Monkey Lagoon "ONLY FOR SPONGEBOB!!" (Even if I laughed my ass off at the grown man be tortured by a kids' playground).

Patchy, I hearby declare you; my very first captain, among the likes of John Silver from Treasure Planet, Captian Jack Sparrow from POTC and Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece as one of the finest pirates I've had the pleasure of sailing with.

Thank you for taking me on my first treasure hunt.
