I will finally draw yuugi #ygo has been in my dna for like close to a decade at this point and yet. I have never attempted to draw anything for it #until now. my audacity has finally reached quota #wishshipping saved my ass this lunar new year and its not even an exaggeration. thank you kazuki takahashi for the boys. rest in peace #mutou yuugi I love u.... u r my son #not mentioned in this stack but dsod's decision to thin yuugi's choker is the funniest shittiest character design decision on earth #like as a detail its so nothing. when u zoom out it just looks like a shadow dropped wrong somewhere. I have come to terms with #the other fashion choice for him in that movie but the tiny ass choker I don't accept. that's stupid. big it #I rly like the vision of older yuugi being like. obnoxiously polite and cheerful #specifically in a way that's not like ceding space for everyone else. like it's clear at all time that he's Like That #and nobody will be able to stop him from being Like That #and also tbh I can never imagine him leaving domino for long (<- definitely not projecting my city slicker ass on him)#I think the game shop's been where he's safe to be himself for so long that he'd want to keep it running and extend #that shade to other kids in the city too. his loyal customers are so scared of disappointing him for no reason #.... typed huge wall of text abt jou leaving domino for tournaments etc frequently but always coming back to hang out with yuugi #I am actually ill abt them huh.... maybe ygo was the progenitor honestly maybe it started me on the two blokes who do fuckall ships #yuugi is so cute but I do know in my heart tho he does Not cook. that kid has never learned and will never manage #I know he doesnt even have water in his office whenever he works. scared of spilling #its a good thing hes got friends galore now people are blowing his phone up wasting their sms toll telling him to drink water #(slowly tipping into mania) I just think he's so neat. love that boy he's so cute

Something something about how slow the intro scene in Shadow of the Colossus is... Wander is so calm, there is no hurry... He lets Agro take her time... He stops to rest a bit and waits for the rain to stop... In most stories with a hero setting out to save his maiden, there's urgency; you want to save her as soon as possible! To keep her safe! To have her back!

But in Shadow of the Colossus... The knight has already failed to save his maiden... There's no rush, no urgency... She's already dead... We can wait here in the rain a while longer...

thinking that a lot of the popular sonic ships suck or just dont make as much sense as people act like they do is kinda hilarious sometimes because occasionally ill run into fans of those pairings getting into arguments with eachother over which one is superior and this is what i see every time

people who do STEM or administration as a career full time and continue to do art as a hobby, I am scared of you but like in a hot way. youre like if we were allowed to have cold drinks in winter. i look at you and think of miles morales with his two cakes. do you want to make out sometime

#i say all of this positively bc i just! i cant help admiring it!! even if its mundane or not a big deal to you i seriously cant wrap my head #around it.. this is in no way at all meant to be condescending or anything. whenever i look at someones bio and theyre like oh im working #as a lab assistant biologist pharmacist realtor etc im like woag.... thats insane.. and then i peep your art tag and it knocks my socks of #how?? what lives do you lead??? im so curious. i seriously want a peek inside your brains someday. or at least shadow you at work lol #i cant help but feel sad when someone says smth like well i have to support myself and art cant do that for me. or maybe you were #pushed into pursuing a 'safe' career bc i hear it a lot. all of my relatives have the same story working as nurses and OFWs for the family #i think for me its not about missed potential but rather its being sad about making a decision to put your happiness aside to get by #ive tried so hard to do it but it didnt work out. i guess watching you guys do it is fascinating to me #or maybe youve made peace with your decision or actually like what you pursued but im still amazed!! it makes me wonder what made #you pick one over the other in that case.. is it like putting time for two different things the way you would for a schedule?? hmmm #im doing graphic design so i dont really interact with ppl in other faculties even humanities like sociology or childcare... so i cant help #wondering what it must be like as someone whos pursuing visual communication both as an interest and career #i seriously wish i could do smth like a desk job or even admin and maybe ill try that if this doesnt work. or i could look into trades #but dyscalculia already makes it hard to do things like cash and mental math so i get overwhelmed if i think about this too hard #yapping

Hating the fact I’m on the *one* single person in existence who is so use to new getter dub that the sub is weird to hear despite it objectively being better. News dub isn’t bad as it again is the only dub we got that actually had ACTORS and solid directing, but I get why for a few reasons people still don’t like it and would prefer to watch the sub for the main factor Hideo and Naoya revise their roles again so they already have more experience in acting especially with the characters compared to Lex and Kirk-

But yet every time I’ve heard the sub it’s felt- weird. Like Ryoma being 20 and having a deep ass voice is just a anime thing but it feels wrong to me, even if Hideo can absolutely kill the battle yells better than Lex, Lex just sounds more believable as a 20 year old to me and still puts in some range in with Ryoma. He’s never flat, he shows Ryoma being angry, chill and sometimes whiny lol at points so his basic line deliverys still have weight to it even if his yells aren’t as powerful as Hideo’s. (But I can’t exactly blame him for not pushing it when Hideo LITERALLY said playing Ryoma as arma killed his throat and idk how New faired 💀)

Naoya I haven’t heard enough of in New but while I really love his crazy laughs in Hayato’s debut ep, he kinda runs into the same issue as Hideo as he sounds too old portraying as younger version of the character. I wouldn’t say Kirk exactly sounds 20-though Hayato age is never specified-but despite “ahaha funny Shadow voice” I genuinely think the gruff approach fits him. There are some shaky lines here and there as I think Kirk sticking to a smoother tone for Hayato tends to sound better, but Hayato is absolutely the type of guy to always sound like he smoked one to many cigars LOL. (Also unlike Lex, Kirk can actually do really good battle screams! Genuinely the “NOW YOUR MINE” in ep 7 by him sounds really good)

The others I didn’t really mention as they aren’t returning roles and from what I heard they match up pretty well to the sub, but also I never expected making a word salad about preferring a fucking dub all cause I was rewatching bits for something but here we are 💀 (I still do wanna watch new fully subbed one day though)

Literally even when I read my own fics I can ONLY hear the dub voices #(And then I applied their voices to zxg and WELP- they kinda become my default picks for dub voices of the boys)#I don’t think they’d work for arma tho and i actually like Douglas take of ryoma- the problem is he’s widely inconsistent #and do I even need to say why southern hayato is bad I don’t even remember the vas name 💀#arc dub I never gave much of a chance and ryoma sound fine but then I was turned off from gamer hayato #either way I’ll take my goemon ryoma and shadow hayato in peace as their most tolerable dub voices

they honestly couldve done so much with junpei beheaded/dismembered and im disappointed that it ended up just being mira. so much of his character and his relationship with akane is characterized by his lack of bodily autonomy, and him being openly beheaded during the nonary games would be the ultimate example of this. its perhaps the most brutal death in the game, and it never really gets explained or developed beyond the one puzzle that we get with it. junpei has been shown repeatedly to be subject to akane's plans or follow her blindly and i just think that would have been a really interesting angle to approach his beheading from. junpei has willingly signed up for nonary games in two different timelines just because he knew he would see her. he was infected with a deadly virus trying to find her. he grew desensitized to death as he took underground jobs to try and find her. his safety always comes second when shes in the picture, and his beheading wouldve been a prime opportunity to 1. exploit his willingness to let himself die/be injured for her and 2. make akane confront the fact that her confidence that junpei will always follow after her is not necessarily a positive thing.

#zero escape #additionally wasnt mira supposed to be asleep?? like i know she didnt get the forget juice but didnt she still get knocked out?#but also!! none of her other kills were like that! none of them were dismembered and she didnt touch junpeis chest #so even that reasoning doesnt make sense #kinda feels like a copout to keep the shock of junpei being disrespected in such a way - to have his very body turned into a puzzle #a puzzle that akane is forced to solve!!! without knowing that what shes looking for is his head - him!#theres so much potential there and they just didnt do anything #im not even saying that akane should have somehow been responsible for that death - only that not having her really grapple with it is such #a missed opportunity #i still fucking LOVE the imagery of it though. i really think its the epitome of the representations of his lack of autonomy #he loses all of vlr. quark. 45 years of his life. because akane decides this is best for him. he dies repeatedly trying to find her.#because she believes that she knows what will keep him safe #and turning junpeis body into a puzzle posthumously is a fantastic example of his lack of control over his body #its like hes literally become a doll. hes jumpydoll - not junpei. hes subject to these games even after he has died.#he gets no peace. no respect in his death. not when hes in these games. not when hes in the shadow of akanes whims and games.#i still love the imagery. i think it was one of my favorite parts of ztd and is honestly now a core tenet of my Junpei Understanding #but i was disappointed in the lack of narrative weight that specific death had. for him to be one of the first dead? for it to be in such a #brutal manner? like come ON. the character analysis for junpei and akane and their relationship is RIGHT THERE. all you had to do was put i #in the game #but nope.#they just handwave it as something mira did.#and dont bring up the details ever again because. plot point solved?#anyway. ive been thinking about junpei imagery and bodily autonomy a lot. obviously.#zero escape spoilers #mak no peeking #marydontlookatthis

Butch is oblivious to Blake’s curse and while he’s ran into Shadow a few times before, he doesn’t seem to realize Shadow is a curse that Blake bears. Even still, the little demon blooded cowboy had dealt with his fair share of the supernatural, the evil and uncanny—he had experience. He wouldn’t put any offer on the table he isn’t ready to take on himself.

“Wanna see where I usually stay? I move every now an’ again but I keep it as comfy as I can, fire an’ all! An’ if ya want, I can scrape t’gether some materials an’ make you yer own tent. C’mon!” Instead of waiting for an answer, Butch excitedly takes Blake’s wrist and begins leading him in that direction. He only lets go when he’s sure the other cowboy is following him.

It's been so long since the last time I hallucinated that I forget how jumpy and skittish I get afterwards guhhhh

#im okay the hallucinations werent bad in what i saw and felt but #struggling with sleep and perceiving reality can individually trigger me a loy #so combining them made for a combo that wouldve been devastating hadnt i come this far in recovery #and it helped that friend was there to help me talk through it #but man i still notice how affected i get by it #every little noise every little shadow im jumping and freaking out by reflex over the most minor things #even my sibling walking up without me realizing terrified me in a way it doesnt normally #and again what i saw and perceived during the hallucinations wasnt even bad!!!#i just cant seem to shake off the awful feelings afterwards even when i dont panic about it #i was told by doctor who helped me getting on meds back in the day that like #id likely always be prone to various degrees of relapse during stress #which i noticed a lot #but its been 2 years of relative peace and 1 year since i shook off the last remnants affecting me daily #and even in just that year i somehow forgot just how easy it is to fall back into those fears #but im calm rn and able to sit outside in the dark without feeling even a smidge of fear #so jumping from noises is fine all things considered #the fact that i even got to this point is proof enough #anyway sorry for venting #silvi talks

Kris knight is becoming more plausible at every DR playthrough.

#was watching the Andrew Cunningham stream yesterday and I admit that even in ch 1 #there's a lot of proof for the theory #The shadow crystal acting as a goner “a world without you” window #where a world without kris would lead to the fountains to never exist and for susie to never grow out of her tough shell.#The knight peace in ch 1 calling kris “Horsey”#The TV mysteriously being plugged the next day #I like multiknight (and it's plausible) with Calloween being another candidate.#but maybe its the simplest answer with a deeper reason.#deltarune #i cant sleep
