What advice would you give to someone who is going to get their tongue pierced?

I'm going to get my tongue pierced in about 2 months and I'm doing all my research about it but advice from others really does help as well

Some random lady I've never seen before looked me dead in the eye and went "hi [deadname]" with the familiarity of knowing me for years. Like- I don't know who you are??? Why are you talking to me like that??

Why tf is it so hard to go from 8g to 6g

I'm stretching my ears and the jump is wild

I've never had pain when I stretched but trying to go to 6 has caused some pain so I've stopped but is there anything I can do to make this work?

It’s actually funny how the two piercings I did. myself have healed / acted better than all of the ones I’ve gotten professionally which have either rejected or gotten infected ( mainly bc the jewelry was too small bc the piercers didn’t care abt my lobe sizes lmao )

This is the 3rd night in a row I’ve accidentally ripped my nose stud out in my sleep.Shit hurts putting it back in I’ve only had it for just at 3 months now. Any advice on how to get this thing to stay in my head?
