3 june 2024—vroom vroom, i dare say ❤️‍🔥🏍✨️

this was the first day of my practical motorcycle driving lessons. hihi. i was so nervous but at the same time supah excOited!! we first had a litol written exam, and i got 9/10. hehe. i also found out that im the onliiiii beginner student sa batch namin since most of them went for the advance classes.

they told me (((classmates and instructors))) that im actually a fast learner bc i can now already ride both automatic and semi-automatic motorcycles. i learned how to ride both in a day!! hehe. srsly, though, even i was amazed and impressed with myself bc i rlly thought it will take me a while to balance, control, and maneuver a motorcycle. turns out, im a-okie. hihi.

ang funny nga pag ini-imagine ko yung first alone ride ko kasi it was similar to me learning how to ride a bike. yung instructor ko naka-alalay pa sa likod ko, telling me to turn on the engine blah blah blah tapos biglang na-notice ko na lang parang ang layo na ng boses niya kasi bumitaw na pala siya, my gosh. wahahahahahahaha.

enihoot, for the next three lessons, i'll be focusing on learning how to drive a motorcycle that has manual transmission since that's what im actually going to drive once i get my license.

ang saya-saya. huhu. ang saya-saya to the point na nakaka-iyak kasi ive been learning a bunch of new skills like puh-lease, as a matatakutin and a worrier, im just so happy na im finally taking steps to actually exploring new stuff.

p.s. i had lunch at peri-peri ugh ang sarap!! and then i did a quick grocery run kasi we ran out na pala of tissue paper and wet wipes for the furbebis whOops and then dumaan na rin me coco milktea bc why the hedgehog nawt 😘🧋

i know WHY it happens and i kno it IS a comfort 2 many ppl but i get so... Itchy when a trans hc consistently is argued like "he/she doesn't look like the other boys/girls!" like idk idk! seeing it Too Often feels like both a reinforcement of limited cis body standards AND of the idea that most trans ppl r clockable.

like rn im specifically rn thinking of the "sonic is transmasc bc he doesn't have chest fluff like silver and shadow" thing which Is all in good fun and Can b validating for transmasc ppl that appear feminine 2 others (or tramsfem ppl that appear masculuine 2 others) but also Why Do You Expect This Distinct Difference Between Cis(peri)sex Male and Female Bodies. yk, bc it feels like a dismissal of the natural variation in bodies, even in cis and perisex ppl and an inherent othering of trans and intersex bodies. ik its just funny hedgehog but i see it with other characters too, animal and human, and after a while--even knowing the good places it comes from--i just feel like... ick! knock it off! sonic is trans bc hes cool, end of sentence, no need for a physical justification!

I read a story about a group of soldiers who, during World War Two tricked the Nazis with an army of inflatable tanks. This sounds like an episode of Dad’s Army and as I read on I was expecting to read that the wind picked up and it turned out there was a hedgehog taking a nap next to the inflatable tank. A better plan would've been to fill the tanks with helium and the Nazis would go back to Hitler screaming “Mein Fuhrer, the English they have flying tanks”

Tuned into tonight's Hollyoaks who are apparently employing some sort of subliminal advertising. I mean tell me we're not supposed to fancy a Happy Meal after seeing Cindy dressed like this: 

The episode mostly focused on Tom trying to patch things up between Misbah and Zain. I think Tom is determined to fix the Mallik family's marital problems because he feels guilty about banging Peri behind Yaz's back but why hasn't Misbah told Tom to swivel on her mid didge? He's the last person she'd want help from and after she found out he'd broke her daughter's heart she should have shut him out of her life forever. I have to say I'm not digging this Misbah affair storyline at all. I know it's a bit silly to talk about what a fictional character would / wouldn't do but Misbah Mallik is a very disciplined and devoted Muslim woman whose priority in life has always been her family. She would never WANT to have an affair much less have a moment of weakness where she'd allow herself to kiss another man. So this entire storyline is based on a flawed premise and as such the fallout doesn't make sense. This would be like Big Bird from Sesame Street becoming a drug smuggler, it just wouldn't happen.
