with qMike waking up and ccFit dropping hints to big angst lore at the end of the month and ccPac saying he’s sorry for people rooting for hideduo and qRoier being turned into a fucking rat it’s so jover guys

but I will continue to ignore canon as I have been for the last three months and force the cubitos to be happy in my silly little writing and art

I feel like last night's stream hit a lot harder because Phil is usually so disconnected from the lore

Seeing him actually engage is important

That shake in his voice, his lowered tone, even how he's sitting on his webcam, it's so different and it makes everything feel so much more

q!Phil has never really reacted to something happening on the island. Bad things happen and he shrugs and walks away. He gets angry with the code and the feds but thats as far as it goes

Seeing him actually get upset, walk around his home and look for his kids so lost and confused hits hard when he usually doesn't care

And his conversation with Forever too, he lowers his shaking voice because he cares, genuinely. I half expected him to go "you're acting fucking weird, bye" but he didn't and it hurt

He was so quiet and sad the whole stream

anyone else thinking about how us crows canonically reacted to that diorama in the aquarium? like. imagine being q!phil, desparately trying to convince himself that none of this is happening and his dreams are just dreams... while all of the crows surrounding you are going NUTS

im just. can you even imagine trying to process that. imagine ur kid wakes up and can't see any of the shit that's driving you + ur entire murder to hysterics, even when they're all Clearly reacting to... something in the aquarium. imagine phil trying to say he's fine and that he just needs air while the crows are fucking RIOTING.

we knew + were shouting abt the king and endlantis LONG before q!phil was able to acknowledge it. and the dissonance of that is just,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, OGH!

The code fundamentally misunderstood Phil

It saw how protective Phil was. How calculated and careful he was, the precautions he would take, the paranoia he had, how dedicated he was to keeping his eggs alive.

Surely, this meant that Philza would hesitate. That he would see his children, see their faces, and lower his sword. That he would let them wreck havoc because he couldn’t bare to see them die

But no, this is Philza Minecraft. This is the Angel of Death. This is the man who conquered the world. A man who keeps his heart close to his chest but knows who his friends are

A man who would do anything to protect his family and friends

And the code dares, dares, to impersonate his kids. To put on their skin and their faces and smile and wave and put on a grand performance. The code dares to mock him. To gloat. To say “I look like your kids, you wouldn’t dare harm your kids, would you?”

But it’s because the code looks like them that Phil attacks. If it just showed up as the code monster, he’d still attack. But it would be more calculated, more careful. He’d ask why the code was here, what it wanted, he’d wonder what it’s angle was

But it’s impersonating his kids, his kids, and Phil can’t hold himself back. The code signed it’s own death warrant. “This is for impersonating my f-ing son.” Phil couldn’t bare to stand the mockery of his children

It was the worst thing the code could have done. It thought it knew Philza. It thought it was dealing with a paranoid father. But it isn’t. It’s dealing with a father who’s a warrior, an emperor, a protector. And daring to challenge him is the last mistake the code will ever make

i think a crucial aspect of the codebreakers dynamic that is sometimes overlooked is how likewise enamoured phil is with étoiles . like étoiles is the god of praising and hyping people up so people tend to focus on how much étoiles thinks phil is the coolest guy ever but do not forget that phil also thinks étoiles is the coolest fucking guy to ever guy he will never pass up an opportunity to talk about how cool and strong and funny étoiles is . their relationship is built on their mutual ‘WOW this guy is awesome’ feelings for one another and it is amazing

idk if you guys remember back in that day where the admins used phil's skin for a cinematic and people were freaking out that his eyes looked purple (they weren't, the quality was just bad)

i'm just saying, can't wait for the purple eyes to actually come true. just sublte enough for people to not easily notice how the ocean blue is slowly turning into a deep purple, the same way how ender's greed is slowly infecting phil

I saw people get GENUINELY angry at (cc! and q!)Phil for not going on more adventures/dungeon with his kids and i'm like, yeah i wish he would get more stuff to protect his kids haha but also, the best way to describe him is this:

You can take Phil out of Hardcore but you cannot take Hardcore out of Phil.

what makes me sad abt philever is that they COULD have had a good shot. i know it’s silly and funny and everyone says forevers love was unrequited completely but like…. hasn’t phil said several times that maybe things would have been different if forever didn’t just like him bc he looks like brunim? i know phil peaces out whenever lore is happening so i don’t think he would ever actually fully commit to the bit but i do feel like there’s an inkling of sadness whenever phil says there could have been something between them or that forever only wants him for his looks

I am forever in love with q!Phil coming home from purgatory, reuniting with his kids, getting an insane escalation in the intensity of his visions, and then fucking off to the middle of nowhere to build a nest like alright :D time for healing :D good times and good vibes only :D can't wait to chill with the family :DDD

I have thoughts qTubbo's death & qPhil's reaction to it

I think q!Phil just laughing it off was because he doesn't rly think of death for humans as permanent. immortal who spent most of his life around other immortals and with hazy memories from before the island -bc long life = memories fade- and that, plus he's seen Tubbo come back from worse than a squabble with Richas. so at first he sees Tubbo's body lying there and he like does a kick flip over it and tell other people with a laugh because qTubbo can just pick himself up, the guy is being dramatic. or so goes Phil's thought.

Also hes got this big romanic connection with death id we're consiering Kristen semi cannon and Missa being a reaper. Death isnt a thing that stops people from being and it certainly isnt perminant. its just like going into another room

Especially the idea that he could be the perfect one. His wings work, he's an amazing flier, he is strong and capable, he is everything they wanted to make

but they couldnt recreate the results, which is why Baghera failed the tests, why she was always being punished. She wasn't Philza.

Thats why hes always being targeted by the code, why the feds have treated him differently, especially with his imprisonment

He was their perfect project but he got away. He left and went to his hardcore world, where he spent years away from the island. That's why he's always so paranoid, aside from the hardcore instincts.

but his memory has been wiped

and as punishment for running, they clipped his wings.

Phil absolutely destroyed everyone. He got himself kidnapped, just before the big event that (most likely) brings the eggs back.

Imagine Tubbo rescuing Chayanne and Tallulah, and then asking where their dad is. Tubbo has to respond, “I don’t know. He was fine the last I saw him.” Imagine how upset they would be, because Phil wasn’t there and it maybe it meant that he didn’t care. Tubbo would shake his head and say that’s not true.

People would panic when on Monday, Phil never shows up. Something happened to him. His children cry for him.

All the while, he’s trapped in a cage not far from a nest.
