Price, for someone’s birthday (probably Gaz’s if we’re honest with ourselves), takes the squad to Disney for a few days. Now these grown ass battle-hardened absolute units of men… are fucking ecstatic. Even Ghost. Especially Gaz and Soap, who literally Did Not Shut The Fuck Up about it all the way from the announcement up until they were there, and then they were speechless.

Anyways, a compilation of things that happened:

Ghost was mistaken for the Winter Soldier because of the mask and all-black tact fit and eyeliner by a group of middle schoolers who then demanded a picture

Soap got glitterbombed during a parade and had sparkles in his mohawk for the rest of the day

Price lost his hat to the Matterhorn somewhere in the cave system, meaning it was virtually unretrievable 

Gaz got jumpscared by the fake sharks on the Finding Nemo submarine ride

Soap ate a total of twelve bags of cotton candy over the course of a three day trip

They all spent more on merch than the fucking plane tickets💀

Ghost and Gaz had a pretty epic lightsaber fight, red vs green, in the dark in Galaxy’s Edge so all the lights in the background were on it was DOPE‼️

Price was forced to wear Mickey ears OVER his replacement hat so it folded over the top of his head like a weird reverse Captain taco

Soap got WAY into the Indiana Jones ride and almost got thrown out of the jeep like six times

Same with Gaz and the Pirates of the Caribbean one

Ghost going speechless in awe of the immersion of the Star Wars rides

They all vow to never speak of what happened on the Guardians/ Tower of Terror ride, because no one was actually sure who screamed the loudest.

Soap tried to fight Donald Duck and had to be dragged away by Price before he traumatized the crowd of watching children

Even though he still had a half-face black mask on, Ghost let Soap and Gaz drag him into getting matching face paint

Gaz had a Princess and the Frog themed outfit one of the days and PHEW

Ghost went back home with two pairs of ears: a Jack Skellington one and the sparkly purple one that has a unicorn horn and rainbow train behind it

Also the others convinced him to wear a Mickey Mouse shirt over his hoodie one of the days

I can’t express how much they all fucking lived for the Cars ride (it’s because it’s simply the best one ANYWAYS)

Soap being thoroughly distracted by Ghost and his see-through shirt after they did Splash Mountain and got soaked

The fucking contrast between Price getting some kind of whisky situation that’s just brown but in a cool cup from a bar in Galaxy’s Edge and then Gaz finding some god-awful multicolored milkshake that’s a foot and a half tall and 30% whipped cream

Anyways the serotonin is REAL please ask me to do other characters or continue this I just think the cod boys deserve to go to Disney every once in a while

Sleeping position: I am a fetal position sleeper im not gonna lie, and i sleep on my side. Its just more comfortable for my joints but also OUCH my back.

Obsession from childhood: pirates. Mainly Pirates of the Caribbean and Johnny Depp, but i was obsessed. For my 8th??? 9th??? birthday, i had a pirate themed party and i invited my whole class which was something id never done before. My mother made the cake a chocolate biscuit cake treasure chest and omg it was so cool.

Weirdest thing to happen to me in school: we thought there was a gas leak because we were sitting in the science lab and in the hallway outside there was a really strong smell. They evacuated the building and sent us home during second period or something. Turns out, the pipes were just gross and they had been sitting unused for a while so they just died i guess.

Favourite fairy tale: im not gonna lie, Rumpelstiltskin terrified me as a young child that i was almost certain remembering his name would be a genuine important thing i had to know or else. So maybe Rumpelstiltskin.

Favourite website from my childhood: i wasn't really allowed on the internet till i was like 10 but i spent an ungodly amount of time on my DS

modern au kamaboko squad and their childhood trauma movies (heavily inspired by me and my friends)

tanjiro: harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban - listen zenitsu said it was good (he had a crush on emma watson) and their parents wouldn't find out anyway (they watched it at a sleepover when they were seven and eight respectively) so tanjiro let himself get talked into it. long story short they both ended up crying and running to zenitsu's grandpa when the dementors showed up and tanjiro never let zenitsu pick a movie again.

zenitsu: every movie was scary to him as a kid disney's hercules, seeing meg get crushed by that pillar gave him nightmares for MONTHS.

inosuke: little inosuke was too busy running around outside and eating things not meant for human digestion to bother with movies but he watches princess mononoke at tanjiro's birthday when they're fourteen and ends up being so distraught by the death of the forest god that he joins green peace.

nezuko: her mother took her to watch a princess lillifee movie when she was four and she ended up crying because they were the only ones in the theater and that scared her. (true story, except i didnʼt have a meltdown over it and my mom told me years later that she wished i had gotten scared so she would've had an excuse to walk out of the movie)

genya: sanemi had a sleepover with mitsuri when genya was nine and they were watching pirates of the caribbean. genya had hidden under sanemi's bed to spook them but then he couldn't come out and ended up sobbing when the ghost pirates showed up and then sanemi and mitsuri spent the rest of the evening consoling him and watching lego ninjago to help him calm down. (genya doesn’t like pirates now and sanemi knows it's mean but he thinks it's kinda funny)

kanao: kanae LOVES old disney movies and tried to drag all of her little sisters into it until five year old kanao watched snow white with her and got so freaked out at the entire final fight against the evil queen that they had to turn off the movie. kanao slept in kanae's bed for two weeks and she never actually finished the movie.

aoi: watched mulan when she was six and couldn't sleep properly for weeks. she told everyone who asked that it was the huns that scared her but she was actually super paranoid that mushu would crawl under her blanket in the night and bite her. he was her monster under the bed until she was like thirteen and she would rather die than tell anyone about this.

KJRKJEKJRJERKJEJKRJKE HELP! I relate so hard to Tanjiro and Zenitsu in that; those freaking dementors messed me UP when I was a kid! Nowadays I find them pretty neat, but little 9 year old Squiggily? Nope, not happening akjrekjajkr

HELP INOSUKE KJWJREJKRJKER He's sitting there eating a bug he found while watching the movie- that scene comes on and he's absolutely distraught and can't even look at the bugs he usually watches for awhile.

OH NO GENYA!!! Poor little guy; all was fine and good until those ghost pirates showed up! Sanemi probably has the caribbean theme song set for his ringtone whenever Genya calls him. No one gets it cause Sanemi rarely talks about the movie and Genya's too embarrassed by the childhood memory to explain akjrjkeajkr

OH NO KANAO! Bless her- that scene was pretty intense! Though the idea of her sharing a bed with her older sister is beyond wholesome oh my goodness kjaerjkajkrajke I like to think she eventually finished the movie as an adult- or at the very least in highschool but still gets freaked out over it somewhat.

OH AOI! I think she'd really love Mulan besides that part cause Mulan herself is so amazing- she's got that complicated relationship cause she watches it but also gets paranoid whenever she does for the Mushu reasons until like you said, 13.

These are absolutely amazing and now I wanna share a few to add to it hehe!

Giyu: He watched The Nightmare Before Christmas with Sabito when they were around 11; everything was fine until Boogie got his sack ripped off and all the bugs came out. He has a somewhat mild fear of bugs since- if there's one in the apartment he'll text Sabito a picture of it with a "Help."

Shinobu: She doesn't get scared of movies too often but that one scene in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure where Large Marge made The Face (TM) freaked her out so badly she had nightmares for weeks. It's on her "Will burn it before I watch it again" list.

Akaza: You know that blue trumpet thing from Courage The Cowardly Dog? "You're not perfect"? That whole show was a time but like- that one thing was the kind of scary it creeped up on Akaza. He watched it, and slowly over the course of a few days he was too scared to touch the VCR tape of the cartoon. He still quotes things from the show- mainly King Ramsey quotes cause he found it funny. (Plus it freaks Douma out jarkjeakjrje)

A timeline of the last two days

Saturday:

11:00-2:00 Beach run

2:00-4:00: Lunch, watching the White Lotus with Makenna

4:00-5:00: Reading Sam Irby

5:00-6:00: Showering, shaving, blowing my hair out, getting dressed, makeup

Outfit: Floral print midi-skirt, black long-sleeve crop top, booties, the world's tiniest red purse from Fashion Pass (literally only big enough for a lipstick and tiny credit card holder. Chanel necklace. Red lipstick, top cat eyeliner.

Perfume: Father Figure by Phlur

6:00-7:00:

Drinks with Reece, Connor, Chaniece (love her), and Paul. Paul told truly the best story ever about getting caught having sex in a tree house by his mom (as an adult obviously).

7:00-10:00:

Pregame for Allie's birthday at Bella's. Everyone was really sweet. There were dogs wearing drug rugs and a karaoke machine. Austin and I did a truly disturbing duet of "Aint No Mountain High Enough". It was later described as "passionate".

10:00-12:00: Bounced around to Moonshine and West End before Conor and I headed back to his place.

12:00-4:00 am: Naughtiesness the likes of which I cannot repeat online but safe to say we have fun.

Sunday:

10:00 am-3:00 pm: Recovery, woke up giddy

3:00-4:00: Got a coffee and a raspberry macaroon from Elixer. Wore my "Girl Dinner" sweatshirt, leggings, running shoes, and of course: the world's tiniest red purse which I've come to love.

4:00-5:00: Listened to a Normal Gossip podcast episode and made pork chops with honey mustard and brussell sprouts with shaved parmesan.

6:00-7:00: Makenna and I finished White Lotus and we made a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed treasure map on which we will put the men we date and move them around as they prove (or disprove) themselves.

The map is done Candyland style/like a Treasure Map and all men start in Davey Jones Locker. If they ruin their chances with us, they are given the Black Plague and fall off the map. On the lines connecting the places I made little quips, because it is all about the journey here.

Seemingly, I’ve had a rough go of it leading up to this moon.

so if you’ve never done theater tech (or if you HAVE done it, but have never been a stagehand/only been on lights or sound) you should know that it involves a LOT of quiet downtime. you only do much of anything during scene changes, obviously (unlike the light and sound guys who’re in action constantly), but you can’t leave the wings and go backstage unless it’s urgent, for multiple reasons (it moves the curtains distractingly, you need to hear the lines/your cues, the stage manager might lose track of you bc you don’t have a headset, etc). so a good 75% of the experience is made up of just sitting there, watching the show from the side and making very little noise, which is cool if you like the production your class is putting on and boring as fuck if you don’t. (i much preferred being stage manager in eighth grade and head of the props department in tenth grade to ever being a stagehand.)

so when i was in sixth grade, i wasn’t that impressed with the show we were doing (shrek, lol) and neither was the rest of the crew, and having cool older friends gets you very far in middle school, so i started talking (quietly, of course) to my fellow stagehands—james, bobby, and peter—and the stage manager, keith. james, bobby and keith aren’t important here, although i have a great wealth of funny stories involving them; the REAL star of this part of the tale is peter

peter and i became very good pals because he is hilarious. also we ended up being on the track team together the next year but that’s less important. the point is that he is so funny and he was a whole year older than me and i thought he was so cool. and if you’ve never done theater tech, you should know that—again, for obvious reasons—you can only wear black backstage, preferably long sleeves and long pants (especially if you’re pale to begin with)

so peter, who is part of the set crew, comes to a dress rehearsal one day. in the karkat fit. no makeup or horns or anything obviously but like he had the jeans and the gray shoes and the cancer symbol sweater. and my zodiac sign, coincidentally, is cancer, so i asked him about the shirt (nice shirt, where’d you get it, are you a cancer too, etc) and he got REAL quiet. and says “i’ll tell you after the show.” so now i’m nervous that i said something wrong and i was gonna lose my cool seventh grader friend. but no. after the show he pulls me into one of the back halls where we keep the props and costumes. and Tells Me About Homestuck.

so i’m like ok. i have to impress my cool friend. so i go home and pull up the comic (this was back when it was still mspaintadventures dot com) and got 1/3 of the way through act one before giving up. a mostly universal experience. i did NOT skip to act five for the trolls because i didn’t know they existed yet. so i sort of chalked it up to just not being my thing and went on with my life. but it planted the seeds

fast forward to… seventh grade? just left sixth grade? (june 2016, right around when homestuck was actually ending) and i’m having a sleepover with my friend gianna, who is like. COMICALLY rich. “tiffany-themed birthday party” rich. “caribbean cruise every vacation” rich. “doesn’t understand why everyone doesn’t own two smartphones” rich. but she was very nice and i liked her a lot (still do! we’re still pals) so we hung out all the time ESPECIALLY that year bc we shared a lot of classes

so we’re in her bedroom doing sleepover stuff (i think we were trying to pirate a movie on her desktop computer) and we get to youtube somehow and we start watching videos that were funny in 2016. vine compilations or whatever. and EVENTUALLY . SOMEHOW. we stumble upon the iconic and eternal after us animation by the inimitable toastyglow. gianna was (and still kind of is) VERY into anime and i think she thought it WAS for some kind of anime, since “homestuck” isn’t in the video title or thumbnail or anything, so she put it on and we watched it. she wasn’t insanely impressed but hand to god i felt my life changing forever

this is where gianna being a rich weeb becomes important, because it means that she goes to a LOT of conventions. i had never been to a con of any kind before like late 2017 but gianna had been going to them for years. crucially, the years of our lord 2012-14, when we were 9/10/11 or so and first old enough to really go to a con and enjoy it to the fullest because we started having our own money and shit like that, was the Peak of the homestuck craze. it was inescapable even at the teeniest tiniest cons, and we live in detroit where there are actually decently BIG cons every year, so even though she’d never actually read the comic, she absolutely knew about it and told me of it. and so the seeds grew

fast forward like four months to fall 2016. i’m in this stupid shitty Kik groupchat with a bunch of undertale RPers i met on amino, because i was a lame little thirteen year old. we skyped each other and e-dated and everything. it was kind of a shitshow objectively but they were pretty cool. but i joined the chat the february before, and now it’s like, september. and all of a sudden. like a wave. a tsunami, even. like a zombie plague. the undertale icons start getting replaced by grey aliens with candy corn horns

i swear to flipping christ the stars perfectly aligned such that everyone in that damn group chat entered their homestuck phases at the exact same time. it was surreal. i felt like i was in the fucking twilight zone. like i woke up one day and everyone had typing quirks

so of course i’m like i gotta get in on this. all i know of homestuck is the snippet of act one i’d read the previous school year and the three minute long animation i’d watched over the summer, but it was enough to truly pique my interest. enough for the seeds to truly take root and flower. i sat down at my desk over thanksgiving break and opened up mspaintadventures dot com once more. and the rest is history

and you know what. you know what. i don’t talk to peter anymore really (he went to college out of state) and i DEFINITELY am not in that RP groupchat anymore (left it that december, actually), but you know what HAS survived all these years as a forever remnant of that era of my life. aside from my friendship with gianna and my appreciation for the 2016 glass animals album “how to be a human being”. that’s right, baby. i’m still a filthy homestuck

Disney Trip Head Canons

Dad! Adrian Chase x Reader

A/N: This is inspired by the conversation from the lovely Discord server and this Tik Tok https://vm.tiktok.com/TTPdSbJnJr/ & I am specifically writing about Disney Land because of how silly Adrian would be about the Avengers Campus. Also Adrian wanted to name your son you have together Chase but you couldn’t handle the fact that his name would literally be “Chase Chase” so his name is Din (like from Star Wars). Like you can’t tell me y’all wouldn’t give your kid a nerdy ass name. It was Adrian’s idea though!

So Adrian and your son have never been to Disney so you surprise them with a trip for Adrian's birthday

You feel like Adrian is far more excited than your actual child is about going to Disney Land

“Yay, we can all have matching ears, baby!” He claims excitedly while jumping up and down.

You order some different ears on Etsy for each different park, you really want their time to be special

You even get ones commissioned special for Adrian that look like his Vigilante suit

Adrian literally wears them around the house and to meetings with the team for like a week prior to the trip (any digital artists out there PLEASE draw this I would cry)

You have to tell Adrian countless times that he can’t bring his suit with him

“Adrian, we’re going to Disneyland. Aside from costumed adults not being allowed, why the hell do you think there would be terrible crime in Disneyland?” You tell him.

“Ugh, fine. I just wanted to piss off some Avengers by wearing it” He whines back.

You have to tell him that they are literally actors and they would probably not know who he was anyway

When it is finally time for your family trip Adrian is up at the crack of dawn to wake up you and Din

He has all your bags already in the car and Chris takes you all to the airport

Chris definitely gives Adrian shit for wearing his Vigilante themed ears throughout the car ride too

You reassure him and tell him how adorable he looks in them

Once you get there Adrian scoops up his son and runs into the resort hotel you are staying in

You end up carrying all the bags in but you love him too much to care, he is like a damn child again

Adrian looks so adorable holding his little mini me; your son has his smile and your eyes

You get checked in, drop off your bags, and head into the parks

Adrian’s favorite rides end up being Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Ride, the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, & of course Smuggler’s Run

I have a feeling that the second you step foot in the Galaxy’s Edge park Adrian would probably cry happy tears

He jumped up and down when he got to pilot THE Millenium Falcon

He insisted on buying a whole Jedi outfit to match with your kiddo

Happy Birthday, Villain, aka Lukas!

It's 19th September! Beloved Villain's birthday and also International Talk Like A Pirate Day!

Villain didn't know about the holiday till Villain Sidekick, aka Hirra, brought it up. She goes all out with the pirate speak today which can get a bit... much.

But she also gets him a heartfelt present which always melts his villainous heart.

Most birthdays Lukas, Hirra, and Henchman, aka Kim, have a pirate day by going to a pirate-themed restaurant, playing pirate by solving treasure maps they've created, or just watching pirate movies.

This birthday, however, since Kim left Lukas's family operation and joined Supervillain, Lukas wasn't feeling up to it since they're not on speaking terms at the moment.
