I've been eyeing various types of cat backpacks for awhile. You know, the ones that as plastic view or has a dome that sticks out, where you can bring your cat on the go so they can observe the outside world with you! Well, my hubby finally ordered one off of amazon! This one has a huge plastic view and the best part, it comes with that cute, purple hexagon blanket on the bottom! Lots of huge breathing holes for air. The sides zip open if you want your cat's head to stick out (I did that and Cosmo was able to climb fully out).
We took Cosmo out on the trail to hike and he loved it! He came out two days in a row with us and hoping he would wanna come out more. He's been a little apprehensive the past few days when we took the backpack out but I think with kitties, they are always reminded when we put them in some form of bag it means going to the vet! I'm trying to change that mindset! This backpack does not look anything like the vet bag. We put treats inside the backpack and he climbed in ate it and came back out, haha! Either way, I think it's a good investment in a cat backpack to bring the kitties out. I also have a cat stroller which I've had for years (I'll do another post on that next) which is also a good alternative to the backpack.
omg is "vegan" wool & leather often made of plastic???? i've never heard this, can anyone tell me if it is made of oil?????? is it (and only it!) made of plasoiltikblasticfossilossilpetroil?????????????? damn such a shame that vegans and their desire for animal material alternatives single-handedly invented the demand for fossil fuels, better pack it all in fellow vegan/vegan adjacent folks 😔
Comparison from Amazon Primes less then 1million dwindling viewership despite thinking she would have a larger audience going with Amazon, it hurt her more given that the company is more interested in promoting invincible, the boys, and good omens content more to suppress and hurt the fact that hazbin comes out in January, A24's website and email subscription are radio silent as well :x doesn't help that happy day in hell is a terrible opener and they should have just stuck to the original casting....
If I saw these numbers deflate this hard in viewership I would be terrified. People are more interested in the merchandising and shit post songs rather then your actual series :'D
She's so desperate for views that people are only coming for again, the character design appeal and the really terrible songs.... yikes she couldn't even clear halfway through season 2 without jumping the shark for merchandise..... remind me how she's independent?
THIS POST WAS MADE PRE-AMAZON HAZBIN HOTEL SERIES RELEASE AND WAS A COMPARISON IN DWINDLING VIEWRSHIP OF THE FIRST WEEK OF PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL BEFORE ITS RELEASE. DON'T GET IT TWISTED<3
Why did Neil cicierega make Drinky Bird sound so like ,, cunty??? Like I feel sassy and girlbossy when i hear it??? It's like drag queen show music mixed with the kahoot background song. Why is it such ass shaking music. Why did he make it like that
why is all paleoart so stiff and boring? like is it just 90% of what you see is cheap stuff commissioned to illustrate grade-school textbooks. or what? there's gotta be some paleoartists out there just killing it.
Happy tsukimi (moon viewing) day! The word "Tsukimi" literally means "viewing the moon," but it has come to refer to the entire celebration related to the Harvest Moon in Japan. Kiku is taking part!
In Japan, dango (round glutinous rice cakes) and silver grass are displayed in homes during the Tsukimi celebration. The reason behind this custom comes from the festival celebrating the crops. The silver grass represents the rice grains and wishes for good crops for the year, and it is also said to ward away evil. The round rice cakes (dango) represent the full moon and have been used as an offering to pray for the good health of children and their descendants. Chestnuts and green soybeans are also common offerings for tsukimi. It’s also common to display some vegetables like cucumbers and eggplants using bamboo sticks to make them look like animals. Kiku is offering and displaying all of these customary items.
Most people in Japan enjoy a relaxing tsukimi celebration at home gazing up at the moon while sipping sake under the moonlight. Kiku apparently doesn't have any sake, so she's enjoying some traditional delicacies instead - rabbit-shaped mochi and moon cakes! Other common meals during this celebration feature raw eggs which represent the full moon.
In Japan, it is said that there are rabbits on the moon. The belief has derived from the shapes of the craters on the moon which are said to look like rabbits. Therefore, many songs about the tsukimi commonly feature rabbits. Here in the U.S. and Western cultures, we see a “man in the moon.” For Japan, it’s the “rabbit in the moon.” Instead of a man’s face, you see a rabbit making mochi (rice cakes). There’s an old legend about the origination of the “moon rabbit,” including the belief that rabbits originally came from the moon. As a result, many promo and souvenir items involving tsukimi feature rabbits.
i think, its very funny when SIOC fics have different viewpoints that show the main characters in different light
like, off the top of my head:
Tori Mendoza: [screaming internally, thinking about the ramifications of yogurt-sealing, thinking about alfalfa]
Enemy Ninja: “Oh god... its the fucking SPLEEN EATER”
Shikako Nara: [okay i know i need to show off if i want to get promoted, and i need to clue gaara in to his sand’s weakness, but... this is gonna suck.]
Everyone in the crowd: “what the fuck. what the fuck. how did she just do tha- how many explosive notes does she HAVE”
The Raikage: *offscreen fury*
Netsui, Cloud Genin: ᵒʰ ᵍᵒᵈ ᶦ ᵗʳᶦᵉᵈ ᵗᵒ ᶠᶦᵍʰᵗ ᵗʰᵃᵗ
Keisuke Gekko: “hey isobu it wouldn’t be too overkill if we did the v2 cloak, right? That’s probably not unheard of in this dimension??” “I’m bored, so, i don’t care. Let’s smash some shit.” “thanks isobu”
The Entirety of Class 1-A:
I personally get a lot of nb/grey spectrum vibes from Hecate. Sapphire gets all the gender conflict attention and drama that comes with her role, but I feel like some other characters get left out in some of the conversations about gender roles and gender identity in Princess/Ribbon Knight and it's different interpretations.
Specifically from the 1963 manga, Hecate and Madame Hell's relationship goes farther than an evil witch, aligned with the literal devil, and her rebellious daughter who occasionally plays a deturogonist role, aligned with the pure-hearted and morally righteous main characters (should this get a spin-off?). Hell, Hecate's mother, is constantly trying to force her child into a more feminine role, become more lady-like, get married to a man with money and power, and ultimately serving as a tool to give her parent(s?, it depends...) more power through this role. Meanwhile, Hecate simply wishes to remain the way she is, single, doing spells, playing pranks, and living a care-free no strings attached life.
There's also the argument that because Hell created her, not birthed her, that Hell views her daughter as an incomplete person, and she's desperate to "fix" that in order to insure Hecate's happiness. Meanwhile Hecate doesn't seem to view herself in that regard at all. Hecate doesn't view herself as incomplete, she likes herself! In response to her mother's actions, Hecate constantly tries and fails to get through to her mother that all her attempts to "help" her child are not necessary or even benefit Hecate at all, if anything it harms them both.
Hecate likes herself the way she is. If the whole boy-heart vs. girl-heart situation is seen by modern fans as a trans/gender-fluid allegory where are the main character is constantly pitted in situations where they have to choose between or compromise living their life as a boy or a girl, then wouldn't having neither heart make someone agender or non-binary in that situation? (ignoring the uncomfortable supernatural and divine circumstances that started this and add to how dated it may make the story in a modern context)
Hecate's conflict with her mother isn't an uncommon theme in many stories, especially in Tezuka's mangas, but their particular conflict feels uncomfortably familiar with a lot of accounts and depictions of trans/gnc/nb/grey-spec kids being pressured by their parents to be more gender-conforming.
Plastic Man in the older comic runs getting shy or scared away when women hit on him is so cute to me I wish they'd bring that back for modern tellings
