Hi!

Konidela the Kitty here! (my mom is typing but I am dictating!)

This was the very first photo my mom took of me! I was so litol! I was barely a month old (They told my mom I was two, but that was a big fat lie! I was born in October 22!) I was very, very scared and I was singing the song of my people because I didn't know where I was going.

And I was smol.

I tried to make myself BIG in the bag, but mom only cooed at me.

I was also not amused at the backpack. I like it a bit better now, as long as we don't get inside a car. Cars are EVIL.

I was even a bit scared to get out of the back pack when we arrived at my new home.

But you can see that five months later I'm very much at home making a mess of my mom's knitting and not letting her work in her keyboard!

And now I'm BIG!

I have ordered a bigger backpack for him so child doesn’t have to share. also he’s just like,, so tall. I put treats in it when it was on the floor and he stepped into it to eat them and didn’t even have to climb in all the way

he’s way more likely than child to try and climb up onto my shoulder though oof

Cat Backpack

I've been eyeing various types of cat backpacks for awhile. You know, the ones that as plastic view or has a dome that sticks out, where you can bring your cat on the go so they can observe the outside world with you! Well, my hubby finally ordered one off of amazon! This one has a huge plastic view and the best part, it comes with that cute, purple hexagon blanket on the bottom! Lots of huge breathing holes for air. The sides zip open if you want your cat's head to stick out (I did that and Cosmo was able to climb fully out).

We took Cosmo out on the trail to hike and he loved it! He came out two days in a row with us and hoping he would wanna come out more. He's been a little apprehensive the past few days when we took the backpack out but I think with kitties, they are always reminded when we put them in some form of bag it means going to the vet! I'm trying to change that mindset! This backpack does not look anything like the vet bag. We put treats inside the backpack and he climbed in ate it and came back out, haha! Either way, I think it's a good investment in a cat backpack to bring the kitties out. I also have a cat stroller which I've had for years (I'll do another post on that next) which is also a good alternative to the backpack.

overall 9.5/10 - experiences outlined below

the backpacks are extremely comfortable! they fit both my cats very comfortably despite their differences in size, and neither have issues sitting or laying down in them comfortably

the two side pockets are very useful and can fit a lot in them, including plenty of treats, toys, spare harnesses, small towel, and my phone/wallet

I tend to wear them on my front so I can keep an eye on the cats but they can also be worn comfortably on your back with a clip to keep it secure! the handles extend as much as you need them to for people who want the extra arm room!

the backpacks have a removable mat inside which is meant for the extendable back part - which is great to use if you're staying somewhere for a while (see below) but can also be kept in the main bouvh area for extra padding

the inside clip for harnesses is extremely useful if you want to keep the top of the bag open without your cat jumping out and/or keeping them strapped in safe when in a car. the bag also fits comfortably on most car/train/bus seats (from experience). However if your cat is determined and big enough, they will be able to fold the front or side of the bag over and hang out of it only held in place by the clip, so if in doubt keep the top closed!

I would also say the number of openings in the bag is very useful as is the ability to fold the top flap back to have only mach, or fold both the top parts down without unzipping the entire top of the bag as in the top images.

we've gotten compliments on these bags at every single vet clinic we've gone to, and vet techs in particular seem to love them which I would call a win! it's also easy to clip tags onto the handles of the bag as we did to make sure our phone number was in a visible area for the vet staff!

the one downside aside from the ease with which a cat can attempt to jump out of it is that the mech parts are extremely hard to clean. while the minky lining and inside can be washed or vacuumed, when our kitten was sick over the side of the bag it took us weeks and many repeated cleans to get the vomit and smell out!

overall, these are great bags and I would recommend them for any adventure cat!
