Free Premium VPN – Stay Safe and Browse Freely Without Paying
In today’s digital world, privacy is more important than ever. Whether you’re shopping, working, or streaming, your personal data is constantly at risk. That’s why a Free Premium VPN is such a powerful tool. It lets you browse the internet securely, hides your identity, and even unlocks websites and apps that might be blocked in your country — all without spending a dime.
This article explains what a Free Premium VPN is, why it matters, and how you can easily use Shadowrocket — the best open-source encryption protocol application — to get started.
What Is a Free Premium VPN?
A Free Premium VPN is a virtual private network service that offers all the features of paid VPNs but without any subscription fees. This means:
Your internet connection is encrypted
Your real IP address is hidden
You can connect to servers around the world
There are no data limits or speed restrictions
No ads or intrusive tracking
Many free VPNs limit your speed or data, but a true Free Premium VPN gives you a full experience, like a paid one.
Why Do You Need a Free Premium VPN?
Protect Your Privacy
Without a VPN, your online activity is exposed to your internet provider, hackers, or even advertisers. A Free Premium VPN encrypts your data, so no one can see what you do online.
Use Public Wi-Fi Safely
Public Wi-Fi networks can be dangerous. Hackers often try to steal data on these networks. Using a Free Premium VPN keeps your information safe and private.
Access Blocked Content
Streaming services, websites, and apps sometimes block users based on their country. With a Free Premium VPN, you can change your online location and enjoy your favorite content anywhere.
Avoid Speed Throttling
Some ISPs slow down your connection during streaming or downloading. A Free Premium VPN prevents this by hiding your traffic.
Save Money
Paying monthly fees for VPNs can add up. A Free Premium VPN lets you enjoy all these benefits without any cost.
Why Shadowrocket Is the Best App for Free Premium VPN
Shadowrocket is a trusted, open-source VPN client popular for iOS devices. It supports various VPN protocols like Shadowsocks and V2Ray and gives you complete control over your VPN connection.
Features of Shadowrocket:
Open-source and secure

Does anybody else use Spotify with a VPN, and if so, has anyone had any issues?
#l33chsp34k#I'm either getting a 'You can only listen abroad for 14 days' popup regardless of what my location is set as on my profile#and I tried it both with and without the VPN.#OR I get redirected to a Captcha that gives an error message when completed.#I also use modded Premium so it might be that too.

Finally! After 3 months, the restrictions on my main blog, this blog is finally lifted! Thanks a lot to @ennn for the help!
What finally broke through is that my account is now on premium and because I’m on premium, this should give me functionalities but because I was shadowbanned I didn’t have the premium features, in this case Blaze.
This gave me a reason to open a new ticket.
(Hat tip to @ennn for this strategy!)
And, finally after MONTHS of being ignored, Sempai (tumblr) finally noticed me.
I still don’t know why I got shadowbanned, the email just mentioned that it was due to an anti-spam measure, and I’m ???? for that reason.
I’m hoping they answer my query why I was hit with the anti-spam measures. I use a VPN to access some stuff and for privacy, because the VPN also has an ad blocker, that could be one reason for the anti-spam measure, but I wouldn’t know why.
I didn't know how much I'd miss people knowing I 'like'd their posts or even replying to a post to start a discussion or appreciation. Or, even just having people I follow and who follow me interact in a simple text post.
I'm back! Can you dig it???
(I'm so glad, I really didn't want to move accounts).

Ficbook.net and Unauthorized Translations - An Update
Update to the update: some of the fics have been removed! 🎉 This happened before I finished this write-up even!
You may have seen this post last night about some CoD X Reader fics having unauthorized translations posted to the Russian site ficbook.net. @karlachismylife was monumental in helping me understand what's going on, and there's some explanation in that link from her POV as well.
Basically - multiple people have copied and translated fanfics into Russian and hosted them on ficbook.net. They're rough translations, some going as far as to use literal translations for turns of phrase. Most likely, they were run through a translation software (Google Translate or similar) and then roughly edited. (Juju mentioned that there is a subset of jobs in Russia where that is your job description. 😖)
Most of them have come from Tumblr posts, some from AO3. Very few had attribution beyond "tagging" the original author. (Aka - no consent was given for these translations.)
@syoddeye took the time to compile a list found here (google sheet). At the time of writing, 65 fics CoD x Reader fics were found - we know there's more but we only have so many knives in a day. (Sy did not look into slash fics either.)
Authors that have been tagged in the comments: I'm sorry you found out this way. I wanted to tell you in person, but given Tumblr's likelihood of thinking I was spamming you, I felt that this was the best option to alert you, provide you with options, and let you determine how you wish to move forward.
So what can be done?
If you already have an account, please report the fics! I'm told that spamming reports gets it taken down. Also consider messaging the author and ask them to remove them - they do not have the author's consent to publish them.
If you want to make an account and report the linked fics, you can. I have chosen not to, because I don't want to give Ficbook any extra support I otherwise might by doing so (clicks, ad views, account numbers).
If the author does not have closed comments (or you have an account), you can leave a comment on the fic.
Russian: Автор оригинала лично подтвердил, что не давал разрешения на перевод и публикацию. English: Author of the work personally confirmed that they did not give permission to translate and publish.
Finally - check in on your author friends that are on that list. It's devastating to find out your work has been plagiarized, translated and hosted somewhere else without your consent. Reblog their work, share comments, hype them up!
A couple of notes: (Juju correct me if I've fucked any of this up 💚)
The posters are likely not making money off the unauthorized translations. The website and their owners definitely are (ads, "premium features", promotion tools, etc.)
Ficbook.net is the biggest Russian language fanfiction platform - somewhat akin to AO3, but it doesn't have a great reputation within Russian circles because of the stealing and underhanded practices the owners use.
AO3 is banned in Russia, and Tumblr is one of the few places Russians can easily (aka without VPNs and Mirrors) read English version of fanfic.
CoD isn't the only fandom affected - there are dozens that have more posted, and we only scratched the surface in our list.
Finally, if you want to translate works, TALK TO THE AUTHOR. A lot of folks don't like having their work shared without their consent. Even if you feel like you are doing a good thing spreading it to a wider audience, YOU NEED THE AUTHOR'S CONSENT. If they've deleted their presence and their stories from hosting sites (tumblr, AO3, etc) - you don't get to pretend you're doing them a favor by reposting them. Respect their decisions.

Jaune: There's ads on YouTube?

Jaune: I use Linux on my desktop and rip my music from the command line. My phone is a rooted android running calyxos operating system with an internal virtual machine where I do my banking. I use brave browser on all my devices which blocks ads and cookies. So, you want to watch more international films
inspired by @drinkfantasy
How do you find them?
There are many ways to discover international cinema.
Browse the categories of free or premium streaming services. Whether it's Hulu/Netflix/Max or Tubi/Kanopy you will find categories like "Bollywood" "International" "API Voices" or you can sort by language/country
Browse lists, keywords or databases on letterboxd, IMDb, Wikipedia or anywhere else you can get information about films.
Ask friends, acquaintances, mutuals etc for recommendations
You can look at the list of international Oscar winning films or other film prizes and festivals (like Cannnes, Berlinale, Venice, tiff etc)
If your town has an indie cinema and/or a university there's a high chance that international films will be screened throughout the year
If this is all a little overwhelming, I'm curating several lists on letterboxd. shameless self advertisement:
Fun/Serious are entirely based on films that I have personally watched and vouch for, while Horror/Queer contain films that are still on my watchlist or that were recommended by others.
Where do you watch them?
Premium Services
Netflix
Hulu
HBO Max
Amazon Prime
Probably all the others too
Free Services
Kanopy (this is my absolute favorite, requires a library card)
Tubi
Pluto
Roku TV
Viki Rakuten (some free some premium options)
IQIYI (some free some premium options)
Arte (if you're in Europe or have a VPN)
RTVE (if you're in Spain or have a VPN)
YouTube Free with Ads
biblio+ (requires a library card)
"Free" Services
YouTube
Dailymotion
Vimeo
Ok (dot) ru
BiliBili (May require a VPN)
effed up movies (for horror films)
several other websites that show up when you google things like "film name watch for free online" as long as you're careful
How do you approach them?
There is no right or wrong way to do this. You can watch subtitled or dubbed films. You can try to google the most famous film, actor or director from a country and try to watch that first. You can try to find some mainstream romcom or any other genre you might already enjoy. You can get obsessed with a random actor or director and just go through their entire work. You can start by checking out countries you're already interested in or know something about or you pick a random one. You could even do it alphabetically if that's more fun for you. You can do one film per country or do a deep dive into one country before moving on.
The most important thing is that you're having fun.

Get Ready for Kalafina on Anisong Premium Radio
DOWNLOAD the FULL EPISODE HERE (MP3 ~50MB) Added it to my "Kalafina Media Appearances" folder. What a blessing to finally be able to update that folder again!!
Wahhhhh, we got another group shot of the girls promoting their upcoming radio appearance (Source & Source & Source & Source & Source & Source & Source) and this time, it's so freaking cute!! I can't handle this!!! Absolutely adorable💙🖤🤍🥹
It’s been 6 years since Kalafina appeared on radio together🥳 Before their comeback performance next year, a 2 hour special will be aired on radio✨ You can listen LIVE on the “NHKラジオ らじる★らじる”WEBSITE HERE. However, you will need VPN to access since it is region-blocked. There’s also an “NHKラジオ らじる★らじる” app which you can download but again, VPN is required!📱 📻Screen-recording is not possible on the app so I will have to figure out a way to record the stream on the webbrowser. Hopefully it will work. Usually you can download archived radio programs on the site Radiko,jp (VPN required) but this particular program only seems to be available for premium users
Date/Time: 12/31 (Tue) 14:00~ 16:00 Radio Channel: NHK-FM MCs: Oishi Masayoshi, Asada Haruna Link: https://www.nhk.jp/p/rs/X7W4K87Q2K/
Will try to post some live updates during the broadcast but it depends on the stability of my stream/VPN〈(•ˇ‿ˇ•)-→
We are starting strong with ♪heavenly blue♪ BGM!!
Hearing them together just introducing themselves is special *sobs* Wakana says she was a bit nervous when they first started rehearsing because it had been so long but then it was like riding a bike, everything came back immediately when they were in the midst of it. Keiko was once again reminded of the difficulty of singing Kalafina songs, it was bot a refreshing as well as an exhausting feeling. Hikaru felt happy to hear this unique music resound again that can only be created with their three voices.
One big change everyone commented on was Hikaru's hair XD
The girls were as moved by their first pictures together as their fans. Seeing themselves together was a precious feeling and reminded them that Kalafina was still a thing.
1st Memorable Song of Kalafina's Historia is ♪oblivious♪ chosen by Wakana and Hikaru. Wakana chose it because of its special place in their discography (being their debut song and all). Hikaru chose it because it was the first song she listened to back then when she wasn't a member yet and considered applying at the audition. Her initial reaction was that her voice was completely unsuitable for this sort of music :P Nonetheless, she gave the audition a try and the rest is history.
Keiko brought some old music sheets with her. She still keeps them all from back them and always brings them to rehearsals.
2nd Memorable Song of their Historia is ♪seventh heaven♪ chosen by Keiko because of the way it beautifully connects all of their voices for the very first time.
Impromptu acappella session before they air the song. Naturally they decided to do ♪storia♪ which has always been their go-to song for this sort of stuff. They are accompanied by the host's acoustic guitar. People will complain about Wakana's voice or whatever but I don't care, shut up! This is not the time and place! It was perfect😭
3rd Memorable Song of their Historia is ♪Lacrimosa♪ chosen by Wakana and Keiko. It was a turning point for them since back then, it was decided that they would actually get to continue as a proper group and not be disbanded after Kara no Kyokai. Also, according to Keiko, the 8/6 time signature makes it very special. The host adds some technical trivia about time signatures and such and praises the complexity of the song.
4th Memorable Song is ♪Ongaku♪ chosen by Hikaru and Keiko. For Keiko it's such a great song because of Wakana's cool solo moment (Super!Wakana😂) where she gathers all of her strength and courage to stand in the center to belt out those high notes while being cheered on by Keiko and Hikaru. And then it's nice to see how proud Wakana is of herself when she did a good job. Hikaru picked it because it's a live staple and basically their "engine". It raises the tension and gives them power. Parts of the lyrics are also the inspiration for their infamous "maiyaiya" which they always do before every live.
Their 5th song is ♪Magia♪ (also picked by Keiko and Hikaru). The hosts are very excited about it. The impact of the song is so strong that they had no choice but to choose it. It makes you really feel like you are going crazy just like Mami from Puella Magi Madoka Magica (マミられてる). The host says it's such a traumatic experience to listen to it. The jarring difference between the cute visuals of the anime and the dark vibe of the ending is mind-blowing.
6th song is ♪to the beginning♪ chosen by Wakana because of the memorable MV shoot. They had a very unusual catering with lots of fried food. The katsudon Wakana ate back then remains one of the best she's ever had. She typically doesn't even eat a lot of fried food but that was an exception. So incidentally, the MV is probably the only time fans will have ever seen the way Wakana looks after she's eaten something like this (fantastic if you ask me :P). Keiko adds that this is also their most popular song when they perform overseas. Nothing gets their overseas audiences as hyped as this song.
7th song is ♪ring your bell♪ chosen by all of them. It was very challenging for Wakana due to the speed and high notes (lots of talk about her f# and the shark necklace she designed as merch). Waaaahhh, another impromptu acappella session. I think they really nailed that part of "ring your bell" and I'm usually not even a huge fan of the song. Wakana did so well on her high note but then immediately deflated (poor girl) while Keiko and Hikaru continued for a bit. LOL.
8th (and last) song of their Historia was chosen by the host Oishi. He picked ♪Alleluia♪ because it left such a huge impression as the final song of their 10th Anniversary Live. Wakana loves it because of its link to their origin Kara no Kyokai and the moving lyrics. it also showcases many new facets of Kalafina.
Afer finishing the Historia corner, it's time for Special Anisong Corner" where everyone introduces their favourite anisong. Oishi appears to be a really big Kalafina fan and says that the anisong world wouldn't be the same without them. He says they are a true treasure for this genre.[YES, THEY ARE!!!!!]
Wakana picks "Mononoke Hime". It was one of the songs she would always perform together with her mother (on piano) when she was a kid. Coming as a surprise to no one, Keiko picks "Anpanman's March" from Anpanman. She's always been such a huge fan of the anime. Hikaru picks "Card Captor Sakura"'s "Platina" because she has always been a huge fan of Clamp (especially "Magic Knight Rayearth" with the main character also being named Hikaru).
Last corner is Oishi introducing a recent anisong that he wants everyone to listen to. He picks the OP "Lilac" by Mrs. GREEN APPLE for the anime titled "Boukyaku Battery".
And that's a wrap. Fitting BGM with ♪into the world♪ Wakana is happy, excited and feels super grateful about the upcoming Kalafina live. Keiko feels so happy to get to meet the other two on a regular basis for preparations and rehearsals. It's a blessing to see all those meetings in her schedule and it immediately cheers her up. Hikaru is also grateful to be able to finally sing all those songs together with the other two and have unique "conversations" with the audience that couldn't be possible if it were just herself.
Not a single mention of Yuki Kajiura during these entire two hours, lots of people are commenting on that. I'll leave that info here without really adding anything to it. It's par for the course I guess, I don't blame them for it...

To my noble ABL, 🙇
Since you brought up the subject yourself, and I couldn’t find the relevant info in your tags, I’d like to request your advice. You see, I’m on social welfare, love BLs/QLs/GLs as much as the next person but I don’t have an enormous budget. So getting a premium on all streaming services (Gaga, WeTv, iQIYI, Viu, etc.) is definitely out of my reach. But could you maybe briefly xplain what services there are, whether they’re free and (most importantly) which one is most worth a paid subscription?
Thank you so much in advance.
Yours truly,
— Thel. 💚
P.S. I promise I’ll like and reblog your advice once you’ve published it! 🙏
Okay so I did a deep dive statistical analysis a while ago (which streaming service is worth your money on strictly BL grounds) and that is here:
I go into who has what, how much, and quality of subs. I'll repost and tag you. I also go an a huge rant about rewarding content providers so there's that too.
Since then iQIYI has come up a lot in terms of squatting content, but I still feel like they are one of the worst user experiences (I mean I pay and they still serve ads? that's bull) and most dangerous in terms of data mining and parent company. So be on your guard with both them and WeTV. It's why I'm unsure about upgrading my WeTV.
Since you specifically requested low income advice here it is:
YouTube. It's free, a lot of the Thai stuff is there, or airs there first. My advice is SUBSCRIBE to the channels that host the content and then use your Subscribe tab as a feed. Also like and comment on the videos. You are getting this, essentially, for free (you will need to sit through ads) but please be generous and give back to the content creators/channels. Especially the small ones like Strongberry. The kindest thing you can do as a consumer is subscribe, like, comment. ALSO this will train the algos, so when new (smaller) channels come along with obscure BL the algos will know what you like and recommend it to you. (Even grey stuff, although that won't last on an upload for very long. So that's my other tip, watch ASAP.) If you need to create a second/dummy gmail/google account for this (anonymity), then do that. Just use a different browser for all your BL content. A VPN can help with this. For example a lot of the GMMTV shows that are now on iQIYI in the USA are on their YT channel in Europe (or Thailand of course), to you just need to set your VPN to a different location, and can watch them on YT.
Subscription services with free content options like Viki or WeTV. Last I checked quite a few of the older BLs on Viki were available without a PAID subscription (this might have changed) same with WeTV. You need to sit through ads, but there are some shows there.
Gagaoolala paid. If you are going to pay for any streaming service I always suggest this one. Not only are they the cheapest of the bunch (and there is only the one level of money which is something like $6.99 a month), they have a lot of older prestige and more obscure content and they are queer focused. This is a Taiwanese platform and I like and support everything about it. Which I don't say about many streaming services. If you have a fixed income and limited budget then being thoughtful with your money is often difficult, Gaga allows for both.
After that, the others are all pretty similar in terms of cost to content value. That blog post above does go into your grey and less savory options. Since I rarely consume free (savory or not) I can't really speak to the situation right now.
Time once was the only way to get things was grey or fansubbed and so then I felt better about doing it, but now almost every new piece (even from Japan) has some kind of distribution deal with some streaming platform.
You have another option which is to wait until most of the shows you want to watch have finished their runs and then subscribe for only a month or two, binge everything, and then unsubscribe.
Generally the slow season in BL is end of the year. So if you have some time in December -February, this would be the time of year to do that. (Most of the major shows are done and no new ones have started up.)
I hope this helps.
