Prototype Testing: Key Steps and Tips
This is the strategy of testing a single unit of a machine before constructing a complete one. It is a process of assessing a particular model for a product in order to determine whether the product will work as it is designed and as expected in real production. Below is a checklist of the major activities and guidelines for prototype testing.
Define Objectives
For every prototype tester, it is important first to establish the set goals of the test. Which of the aspects of the prototype are you measuring? Targets could be set either in terms of function, performance, or user satisfaction and/or from the perspectives of product utilisation and safety.
Develop a Test Plan
Prepare a testing strategy which would cover the steps of testing, the parameters of testing and the criteria for measuring the results of testing. The plan should include:
Testing Methods: Determine on the mode of testing to be employed as well as what tools you are willing to use.
Test Scenarios: For example, one can come up with detailed actual-use circumstances under which the prototype will be used.
Criteria for Success: It is also important to define what successful performance in any of these tests should mean.
Assemble a Testing Team
Recruit a group of people who are going to administer the tests. This team should consist of professionals in fields connected with the designing of the product such as engineers, designers and end users. Though having different opinions might complicate things, it also means that more areas can be seen and more problems might be discovered.
Conduct Testing
Perform the tests as I outline for you. Make sure that all the conditions are regulated and standard for the purpose of achieving the required outcomes. For the functional testing of the prototype, ensure that the prototype meets the required functionality in different situations.
Collect and Analyze Data
While conducting the test effort on the constructed prototype, gather relevant information concerning its efficacy in a systematic manner. Collect data and information through the indicators such as sensors, questionnaires, or observation checklists.
Evaluate Results
Check the test results against the achieved success factors. While creating the prototype, you need to decide whether what has been designed achieves the goals or if changes are required. Examine any problems that appeared during testing and define the effect they will have on the final result.
Iterate and Improve
If, however, something is not working properly with regard to the prototype or the modifications that have been made, alter the prototype according to the test results. This means that after adjusting the prototype to the new layout, a new test should be done to confirm whether the problems have been solved or if the changes made were efficient.
Conclusion
Prototype testing is important to ascertain to whether the designed product is well built and is useful in meeting the intended purpose. Thus, by following these main steps and tips, it is possible to conduct effective testing of a prototype, reveal many problems at once, promote their solution, and achieve a successful final result.

Mercedes-Benz C111 II, 1970. The death was announced this week of Bruno Sacco, who served as the head of styling at Mercedes-Benz from 1975 to 1999, having joined the company in 1958. A German-Italian who had studied mechanical engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Sacco worked at both Ghia and Pininfarina before moving to Germany and joining Daimler-Benz AG. The C111 was a series of experimental cars used to test new engine technologies, including rotary, diesel and turbochargers, for which Sacco was lead designer.

#alan becker#animator vs animation#ava#ava tdl#ava victim#captive tdl au#long tag warning#dark is going to have some dog/caged animal symbolism and machine symbolism#TDL is very much a problem captive also very annoying one at that#you can blame the high security one him since his constant escapes helped rocket corp to tighten their security#victim is definitely insane and he will do some incredibly messed up stuff in this au#the machinery on agent is supposed to look like it is slowly consuming him like some kind of infestation#agent has some issues as well and will be an enabler for victim#victim and agent's relationship will get some attention in this au but the main plot will still revolve around chosen and dark#chosen and dark's relationship is a lot more complex so i won't bother to summarise it all since i don't really want to spoil it#TSC will receive a bit of attention since he is still very much tied to the plot of ava#tsc does have a split personality like an alter ego that takes over when he is in danger#i dont think i would really touch on the colour gang since i think it would make the story too messy#i do have most of the story already planned out#it is just the part leading to the ending#every weapon and tech in rocket corp was tested on TDL#in a way he did help with the destruction of chosen by helping rocket corp to improve their tech by being their test subject#fulfilling his code in its own twisted way#btw the additional cage in his containment area is to temporarily hold him during the box maintainence or upgrades#it is also the same type of cage that TSC is kept in currently#the box prototype that TDL is in would probably have a different name like 'the cage'#the bars of the cage is electrically charged and it also resembles a dog cage (dog symbolism)#there won't be too much about dark during his captivity since it will be more about how it impacted the relationship between him and chosen#i would probably start posting more random lore bits every now and then between comics#i hope i stop getting side tracked when working on this au

Every now and then I look at the wonderful artists of the internet who draw in the EXACT style I love but am forever unable to draw in. I’ve tried for years.
But then I draw a masterpiece like this and I realize; I draw so much chaos, that if I put it in the style I desire, I’d be too powerful. The world had to nerf me.
College years for the busters was expensive for the wrong reasons for Ray and Egon. I’m sure of it.

You guys sent a bunch of cool prompts, thanks for that! Keep em coming. In the meantime, have a bunch of sketchy Tello's and my friend and I's animals spirits :)) Also, nothing to do with this, but can we talk about how cool Donnie's mystic powers are? He's every artist, designer, architects dream foam. He literally gets to lucid-dream awake and create incredibly badass machinery on the fly. Picture him realizing just how far he could take it, how mystic powers aren't bound in the same way reality is. He could LITERALLY build and test the scientific stuff that people have only been able to theorize about. In a sense, Donnie is his own uranium power source. GUYS.

A4988 breakout prototype testing ⚙️🔧
We got our Allegro A4988 stepper driver breakout PCBs back and are ready to test them. First, we verified that STEP and DIR worked (yes!) and that the LEDs lit (yes, but we need to tweak the resistors to make the brightness even). Then we tried all of the stepper-settings, you can select 1, 4, 8, or 16-microsteps. All the sleep/reset/enable pins work. Finally, we checked the current limiting functionality with a potentiometer that can be twisted to select up to 2A current per coil. This directly affects the torque, so it's easy to test by verifying that we can stall the motor with hands or vise-grips. We'll order these with 2oz copper and get them into production next!

when darnold has gordon drink The Potion to regenerate his hand but ends up with the gun arm, and tells him "yeah that's just like your old hand, you just fired your fingernails from your fingertips, as people normally do", and gordon goes "no? right? (to the science team) please back me up here" and bubby says "why do you think my hand is always in a fist? i don't want to hurt you." and dr coomer tommy and benrey said Nothing about it. i think darnold and bubby can shoot their fingernails

Holden Hurricane & GTR-X concepts, 1969/1970. The Hurricane was a test bed and promotional vehicle for Holden's new, domestically produced 253ci (4.2 litre) V8. The GTR-X is more complicated and was designed by Joe Schemansky and Phillip Zmood with the intention of series production based on the Holden Torana. The project was abandoned because GMH were concerned that the costs of making the car would be greater than what they could sell if it for in Australia's relatively small domestic market.

what i want is a site that lists every single published paper but cataloged by things like area and questions. like you'd be able to go to 'human body -> head -> brain -> function' and see all the papers exploring how the brain works with summaries on methodology and sample size (if relevant) along with general summaries of the topic going over what we current know. just something that would let you explore the sum of human knowledge in a way that is natural and fun to explore around but easy to get into initially and based around published papers. i understand this is a lot to ask but i'm sure if you got enough people together you could figure it out
