Multiple Inheritance and Method Resolution Order in Python
Python is one of the few language who support multiple inheritance. Here is a simplest program to demonstrate multiple inheritance in Python. class Parent1: pass class Parent2: pass class Child(Parent1, Parent2): pass if __name__ == "__main__": child = Child() But what would be the method resolution order if same method is inherited in the class more than one way. The simple way to…

So glad you clarified that "Alfred bleeding out at brucie's day party" was step 1 in becoming pennywaynes. I was just about to ask lol
Also thinking that Alfred doesn't say "fuck" because Thomas says it enough for both of them. And how they're both feral in opposite directions (loud and vulgar vs poised and eloquent) makes me wonder what direction Martha is feral in. Exceedingly painfully viciously polite? Barefoot in the dirt, she'd love poison ivy fae-tinged feral? Does this make sense? I'm sick. All I can think about is Thomas and Alfred preparing to carve someone up and you don't even know who you are supposed to be more scared of
I like to imagine Martha as Morticia Addams feral. Regal, majestic, peculiar, and could wipe the floor with your self-esteem in a minute if crossed. Bruce’s mama was a silent badass for sure.
I like to think Damian inherited her affection for animals! Hers pets were just more… Unique, let’s say.
Imagine you’re Alfred. You’ve been working at the Wayne manor for about two weeks now.
Thomas, your husband boss hands you a huge chunk of bloody meat hanging from a butcher hook, while yelling violently at a business partner on the phone.
“Al, go feed Bruce, will ya?”
“?????????????”
Bruce gently grabs Alfred’s hand (Alfred has to tilt down) and he’s taken to the pool area.
There’s a big ass tank.
There’s a big ass, 20 foot long, great white shark in that tank. Bruce hugs the glass. Alfred may or may not pass out. Martha gently takes Bruce in her arms, kindly asks Alfred to clean the floors, and vanishes in the shadows.
She also has an albino ball python that Bruce adores. Occasionally, she wears him as a scarf. Alfred is severely loving and regretting his life choices.

What’s mc1r and what do mutations there do?
Mc1r is short for melanocortin 1 receptor, a very important gene/protein in pigment synthesis. In color genetics, it's often called extension gene, too.
Tumblr media
The molecule itself basically behaves as a switch: it determines if the cell produces eumelanin (black/brown pigment) or pheomelanin (red/yellow pigment) at any given moment.
In all kind of animals, lots of red, orange, yellow and pale color variants are associated with loss-of-function MC1R mutations, and, on the other hand, melanistic colorations are often caused by gain-of-function mutations. The OMIA database contains documented mutations in 48 different animals, lots of them with several different alleles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clown ball python, menil fallow deer, blond antartic fur seal, chestnut horse, white camel, red zebu - these are all MC1R-mutants.
Domestic cats however... well, they do have no less but three mutations on this gene, but the standard, wildspread orange that gives us red and tortoiseshell cats is none of them. (That would be on the recently identified Arhgap36 gene, famously sex-linked, unlike MC1R, which is autosomal and inherited independently of sex.) The mc1r cat colors are all relatively new and restricted to one respective breed; they are called amber, russet and carnelian.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amber tabby norwegian forest cat, (likely solid) russet sepia burmese and carnelian tabby kurilian bobtail.

Post #90: The pillars of object-oriented programming: Object, Class, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction and Encapsulation, 2023.
The concept of object oriented programming explained
Object-oriented programming is a fundamental concept present in numerous programming languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, and more. It becomes straightforward once you truly grasp it, and that's precisely what this post aims to help you achieve. So, stop your scrolling for a second and delve into this post for a thorough and clear explanation.
Tumblr media
Understanding the Term "Object-Oriented"
To grasp OOP, let's begin by explaining the name itself: "Object-Oriented." This term signifies that OOP revolves around entities known as "objects."
What Exactly Is an Object?
An object in OOP is any entity that possesses both state and behavior. Consider a dog as an example: it has states such as color, name, and breed, while its behaviors encompass actions like wagging the tail, barking, and eating.
The reason we introduce the concept of objects in programming is to effectively represent real-world entities, a task that cannot be accomplished with conventional variables or arrays.
Classes: Abstract Forms of Objects
Now, what about classes? A class is essentially the abstract form of an object. If we take the example of a "dog," the object "Mydog" is a concrete instance, while the class "dog" represents dogs in a more general sense. Think of a class as a blueprint or template from which you can create individual objects.
Four Pillars of Object-Oriented Programming
Now that we've established the fundamentals of objects and classes. OOP is built upon four key principles:
Inheritance: Inheritance occurs when one object inherits all the properties and behaviors of a parent object. It promotes code reusability and facilitates runtime polymorphism.
Polymorphism: Polymorphism entails performing a single task in multiple ways. For instance, it can involve presenting information differently to customers or implementing different shapes like triangles or rectangles.
Abstraction: Abstraction is about concealing internal details while exposing functionality. Consider a phone call; we don't need to understand the intricate inner workings.
Encapsulation: Encapsulation involves bundling code and data into a single unit. Just like a capsule contains various medicines . In a fully encapsulated class (e.g., a Java bean), all data members are private, ensuring data integrity and controlled access.
I remember finding these images that explained these concepts using the 'Squid Game' series, and they are just perfect. So, I'm sharing them here and giving all credit to their owner :
Polymorphism , Inheritance , Encapsulation

𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝘁𝘂-𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮
warnings: mentions of drug abuse and suicide.
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘵 (2006)
A Ketu film related to one's roots, ancestry, heirdom, and hunger for power. All themes which I have touched on to be Ketu, and will be further exploring in the future.
It stars Magha Moon Steven Strait as the protagonist and Mula ASC Sebastian Stan as the antagonist.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Magha Moon Steven Strait plays Caleb who is grappling with the legacy of his ancestors. He is the leader of the covenant.
Sebastian Stan portrays the power hungry force who wants to will the power of the covenant's members. The other characters are portrayed by Moon nakshatra natives. All of them are warlocks who have supernatural powers inherited from their powerful ancestors. Sebastian Stan's character is “a teenage warlock who is the descendant of the long-banished fifth family of witches from the Ipswich Colony, who formed a covenant of silence to protect them.”
Rohini Sun, Mula Moon Toby Hemingway & Rohini Moon Taylor Kitsch play the other members of the covenant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moon nakshatras, along with Ketu nakshatras, are constantly seen in witch roles; such as almost the entire witch cast of AHS: Coven being portrayed by Ketu nakshatra natives!!!
𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘺𝘱𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘴 (1978)
Another Ketu film about one's ancestry roots and their pressure around legacy – this time starring an Ashwini native.
The story follows Dave, played by Ashwini Sun Eric Roberts, the grandson of a powerful clan leader.
Tumblr media
The Stepanowicz family represents a deep connection to Romani traditions and their way of life, emphasizing the importance of lineage and cultural identity. The clan leader, recognizing the importance of preserving their traditions, seeks to pass on his leadership role to his Ashwini grandson who he deems worthy.
𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨-𝘊𝘩𝘪 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘦𝘯 𝘙𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 (2021)
In this film, the Ketu native is depicted as running away from his roots, meaning to forge a new life separate from his past. Shang-Chi is played by Ashwini Sun Simu Liu. And his father is a powerful leader of the Ten Rings terrorist organization.
Tumblr media
Instead of Shang-Chi rejecting his roots entirely, he learns to embrace his strength, face his past and accept his lineage, choosing to redefine it on his own terms.
𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘳 𝘗𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘥 (2007)
When the King of Far, Far Away dies, Arthur Pendragon learns that he is next in line to the throne. But he doesn't want to rule, as he lacks the confidence and fears he isn't capable of being a king. But due to his roots, though unknown, he has no choice. He is voiced by Magha ASC, Mula Moon Justin Timberlake.
Tumblr media
According to legends, King Arthur Pendragon is a folk hero who ruled Britain. I find it so f*cking awesome that he has been portrayed by Ketu natives through movies/TV shows. And being already voiced by Justin Timberlake, who is especially Magha Ascendant, validates my other observations even more of this heirdom theme in Ketu nakshatras. It really all started with my The Spoiled Brat Archetype post, which turned to providing more old money character examples. Now, Magha nakshatra is literally symbolized by a throne, representing heirdom, authority, power, and especially ancestral lineage.
Magha Moon Clive Owen portrays Arthur Pendragon in the film King Arthur (2004) while possible Mula Moon Bradley James plays the folk hero in the show Merlin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mula ASC Alexandre Astier plays King Arthur in the show Kaamelott. And then Mula ASC Graham Chapman is King Arthur in the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ashwini Moon Iain De Caestecker is King Arthur in the series The Winter King. Mula ASC Boris Karloff played King Arthur in the video production of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ashwini Moon Sean Patrick Flanery is King Arthur in the show Guinevere. Magha Sun Mel Ferrer played King Arthur in Knights of the Round Table. Mula ASC Kenneth More is King Arthur in the film Unidentified Flying Oddball. Mula Moon James Faulkner is King Arthur in the mini series "Wizards" Battle Royal.
Also, in the series Succession, the character Kendall Roy is pretty much the heir to the media empire of his powerful father. He is portrayed by Mula Sun Jeremy Strong.
Tumblr media
In the series Royal Pains, Mula Moon Andrew McCarthy plays Marshall Bryant who is the heir to the blender fortune. While Ashwini ASC Ezra Miller plays his son, Tucker Bryant, now the great-grandson of the inventor of the blender.
I talk more about their dynamic with Rahuvians in this post, and it's interesting how they interact.
While Rahuvians struggle with Maya while they rise in power, Ketuvians struggle more internally. The trope of the rich kid who struggles with extreme mental issues or drug abuse tends to be Ketuvian. In the film The Gentleman (2019), Ashwini ASC Eliot Sumner plays Laura Pressfield who comes from old money. Laura struggles with drug abuse and wants to escape from the culture. In the series Political Animals, Mula ASC Sebastian Stan plays T.J. Hammond who is the first openly gay child of a U.S. president, struggling with drugs and alcohol as a way to numb himself. In the film Franklyn, Magha ASC and Ashwini Moon Eva Green plays Emilia Bryant who comes from a wealthy family but is an unstable artist who has deep emotional struggles which lead to her suicide. In the film American Psycho, Ashwini Moon Christian Bale plays Patrick Bateman who comes from wealth but he is deeply mentally ill and internally miserable. In the series Succession, Mula Sun Jeremy Armstrong plays Kendall Roy who comes from wealth but he suffers from drug addiction. In the Spanish series Elite, Ashwini Moon María Pedraza plays Marina Osuna who is top in her class and is from an extremely wealthy family — yet she is deeply troubled, ill and spirals out of control, going against her family. In the Indian version of this series, Class, Ashwini Moon Anjali Sivaraman plays the same character. In the film Cruel Intentions, Ashwini Sun Sarah Michelle Gellar plays Kathryn Merteuil who is another Ketuvian rich kid with a drug addiction. Magha Sun Amy Adams played the same character in Cruel Intentions 2; and in the 2024 series remake of the story, Ashwini Sun Sarah Catherine Hook plays the same character but with a different name, Caroline Merteuil.

okay so apollo vs python round one time!!
bear with me because this got really long
so the thing I've long wondered about this event is just Why The Fuck did he do this. at four days old. alone.
because it makes no sense right??
even if he wants to take revenge and protect his mom, at this time he's a duo with artemis and isn't she by all means more qualified for this than him?? she's the more martially inclined of the two and represents lawlessness and wildness, I don't know if she is yet but still, when she comes into her divinity (only a few days later!!!) she'll literally be known as the huntress of wild beasts
so that is one point. the other is just what possessed him to think he could do this?? python is a child of gaia who has been openly tormenting a well connected titanness and has taken over delphi the center of the world and dictator of fate and hasn't been defeated yet
apollo is, again, four days old and not the martial one of the pair, in either powers or disposition, he doesn't have any experience using his powers in general, let alone offensively what made him think he could do this??
why him, why now
well my answer is that I think it makes perfect sense if we take into account two things 1) that he is the four day old embodiment of Light as a concept and 2) the reason python was chasing leto around in the first place
right, what started this in the first place, python received a prophecy that the unborn son of leto would be his murderer, that's why he was trying to kill her before she could give birth
and again apollo is four days old meaning his nature has not been,, "tainted" by much of anything yet, be it humanity, belief, other domains or even social interaction. let us remember what he developed into in the future when he's more of a person and not only a pure concept, an avatar of relentless seeking and revelation and knowledge and truth. light is not restrained or subtle at all and this was the time when that was all he was
so basically I think apollo knew there was a prophecy that said he would kill python and just fucking went for it, the winning condition was already met just by being him so why wait right? did he think he was in any way qualified otherwise? no, did he have a plan or any idea of how he would manage? not at all, but it literally did not matter since his victory was already written in fate and confirmed by python, it must have looked like a bright point a to point b to him
and I think that's how he beat him, by leveraging prophecy and using it as a weapon, he was by all means no match at all but it was fated by a prophecy that scared python enough to confirm it's validity and they were at delphi that he usurped from his grandmother so he had the right of inheritance on his side and with his faith and steadfastness on this one thing, apollo won by literally muscling the domain of prophecy away from python
you know the fate string apollo uses on his bow in canon? my headcanon is that this is where it came from, that deep in the fight, he physically took the string of the prophecy and literally used it as the arrow that killed python and later used it to string his bow and now all his shots have literal reality piercing power

Naga Shanks
Tumblr media
You lived on the edge of the woods where no one could disturb you. You inherited a small cottage from your grandfather who used to live there. It wasn't much, but it was plenty for you. You had everything you needed.
Plus, you had peace and quiet and nothing to disturb you. No annoying people, no thieves, nothing. Just the pleasant sound of the forest and the river that flowed nearby.
You knew there were not exactly human beings living in the forest, but you never encountered any. They too were protective of their privacy and didn't want to be discovered by humans.
Apparently, that didn't apply to all non-human beings. It's been a few years since you lived there. You were walking in the woods, along the river, enjoying a nice summer day.
You stopped when you noticed a red snake's tail disappearing into the stream. You followed it with your eyes to the other side, where a surprise awaited you. The tail widened until you came upon the part where it changed at the waist into a man with red hair. Naga. You stared at him as if you'd seen a mirage.
"This isn't where I'd expect company," he smiled at you, baring his oh-so-sharp snake teeth.
"M-me neither..." you stammered, trying not to let your shock show.
"I'm Shanks," he smiled at you, crossing the creek and offering you his hand.
"Y/N," you introduced yourself and shook his hand.
You had no idea someone cold-blooded could be so warm, and even though he wasn't human and everyone had warned you about such creatures, you felt like you could trust him. Despite the feeling you had that, he could be very dangerous. Maybe even the most dangerous in the forest.
You hung out with him for a while, and he even walked you to the edge of the forest, wondering if he would take you home. You were quite comfortable with him.
From that moment on, you saw more and more of him, and eventually every time you went into the woods or he visited you at your house. You talked about all sorts of things, and you were both curious about each other.
Shanks showed you the beauty of the forest where you had never been before and told you about all his adventures and the other creatures he had met during his travels.
Very soon you two became friends and much more. You didn't see him as a monster like other people but as someone you had a good time with and someone you wanted in your life. And Naga had that too.
One day you walked along a stream until you came to a small waterfall where he had built a small structure in the treetops. He lived there and from his balcony, he had a beautiful view of the waterfall and the trees around.
It was also the day you spent your first night with him. You spent more and more time there until you decided to stay together and live in his house by the waterfall. Of course, you still had your cabin where you spent your winters.
After a while, you tried to start a family, but it was not easy between men and nagas. Maybe that meant you'd never even make it... But that didn't stop you from trying.
One morning you were lying in bed together with Shanks hugging you and his tail coiled around your whole body. The morning was hard for Naga, as you provided the warmth he needed for his own thermoregulation.
He never wanted to get up and always had a thousand and one reasons to stay in bed longer. Plus, you couldn't just push him off of you, as he had much more strength. Sometimes when he was half asleep, he would forget how strong he was, and sometimes when you tried to get out of his grip, his snake body would tighten. Then you felt as if you were a victim being captured by an anaconda or a python trying to squeeze the life out of you.
But tonight, you were disturbed from your dream by something else: crying. Not just any cry, it was a child's cry, a baby's cry. Even Shanks heard it and automatically pulled away from you and looked at you wondering if you heard it too.
You climbed out of bed and went straight to the balcony to see what was going on. Shanks went right outside to take a look. Already from the balcony, you could see a small basket floating down the stream and heading for the waterfall.
"Shanks, over there!" you called to him, but he was already heading for it. Even though the water was cold, he climbed in to save the basket. You made a fire so he could warm himself.
Naga went in and handed you the basket. He was glad for your thoughtfulness and curled up by the fire so that he rested his head on your shoulder.
A baby, barely a few months old, was still crying in the basket. You unwrapped the blanket from it when you realized it was not just any baby. It was a nagy baby. It was a girl with coral-red scales with white spots. She had a fluff of hair on her head as well, with half of her head equally coral red and the other half white like freshly fallen snow.
"Shhh, it's going to be okay," you said gently, taking the baby gently into your arms. Even though it was naga, you didn't mind. The naga stopped crying and the end of its tail wrapped around your hand. The girl opened her large eyes, which were a bright purple colour, and her small hands reached up to your face.
"Looks like she likes you," Shanks smiled, his forked tongue flicking against your cheek in his version of a snake kiss.
"Looks like it," you replied. You and Shanks didn't have to decide for long, because the moment he brought her to your house, you were clear. You kept the baby naga, took her in as your own and named her Uta.
Uta grew up like water and made you happy. You had her as your own and you were her parents. Of course, you let her know she was adopted, but it didn't matter. Maybe it just reinforced the strength of your little family.
Uta was playing outside by the river, where the sun was shining, chasing butterflies and singing. Her voice was like the voice of an angel full of joy. Shanks watched her from the balcony while he sipped rum and basked himself.
You, meanwhile, were cooking dinner and making tea from the herbs that were supposed to help you conceive a naga. Even though you had a red and white naga as your daughter, it didn't stop you from trying. You hoped you could give her a sibling to play with.
"Mmmm, that dinner smells delicious," Shanks turned to you hugged you from behind and nuzzled your neck. "And you smell even better," he muttered and grazed his fangs over your skin. "Completely irresistible..." and his tongue flicked over your skin.
"Wait until Uta falls asleep," you replied, tasting your food. "I'd say it's done, wouldn't you?" and you gave him a taste, too.
"Delicious as always," he replied.
"Perfect. Will you get Uta?" You turned to him.
"Sure," he replied and involuntarily let you go before walking to the balcony and calling out to Uta, who soon joined you.
After dinner, the three of you lay in bed with Uta in the middle, her and Shanks' tails wrapped in a sort of tangle around the three of you. Your unusual little family.

it's easy to say "ban harmful breeding practices!" when the outcome is an animal you deem ugly or weird. make sure to raise awareness and bring that same energy for animals that look unremarkable or even beautiful. not all issues are as noticeable as a wheezing pug, but they can be be just as painful for the animal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
for example, unless you have some background knowledge, these animals might not look like anything special. do you recognize them?
satin coat guinea pig: these guinea pigs have glossy coats due to their hollow hairs that catch the light. that same gene also give them calcium absorption issues, leading to poor bone health and severe pain.
double merle coat aussie shepherd: when a dog has one merle gene, it has that beautiful blue merle coat aussie shepherds are famous for! if you breed together two dogs with this gene, 1/4 of their litter will inherit TWO copies of the gene, and will very likely be born deaf/blind.
scottish fold: these are a charming breed of cat with their ears folded over! that's because their cartilage isn't formed properly, leading to severe joint issues.
spider morph ball python: this morph (coat pattern) is known for its beautiful drippy pattern. the gene that gives them this pattern also causes the nervous system to develop improperly. many of these snakes are unable to live normally due to "spider wobble" syndrome that causes them to writhe and corkscrew uncontrollably.
scaleless bearded dragon: some enthusiasts like the unique smooth look of scaleless reptiles, unfortunately, a lizard that needs to sun itself without the natural protection of scales will end up burnt. also prone to infections, skin lesions, etc.
hybrid macaws: the ethics of breeding macaws are already extremely iffy. crossbreeding macaws? well this has most of the same issues but 10x worse. the extremely simplified argument is "we can't even breed pure macaws ethically, and you're breeding hybrids just for looks? you are scum"

A redraw of the timeline of Apollo's life I made half a year ago! Sadly for some reason CSP decided to completely delete poor Post-First Punishment Apollo (the fifth one), but luckily I took a picture of it before hand so y'all can see it, even if it's lower quality ;-;. If you want the story behind these designs I dumped like 2000 words about it in my og post, which you can see here!
Some quick addendums I forgot to put in last time + fun design details:
Apollo replaces Helios as the god of the sun after the Trojan War, around 900 B.C.E-ish.
Baby Apollo has horns now! This is a trait he inherited from his titan side and then quickly lost during his battle with Python. It's a nod to his first domain being shepherding as well.
Just to clarify, post-first punishment Apollo goes before post-Daphne Apollo, it's just I couldn't place them in the right order bc csp sucks
The symbol I used on Main Apollo's fabric is called a delphic epsilon! It was used as a symbol for Apollo's temple at Delphi in Ancient Greece and represented a worshiper's initiation into light.
The blue-ish silver ribbon Fall of Greece Apollo has belonged to Artemis. As I stated in my first post, Apollo spends a large amount of time away from Olympus between the fall of greece and his time in Rome, so he kept the ribbon to have something of his sister's in the meantime.
Also for Fall of Greece Apollo, his cloak is fading for two reasons. One, he's spending a lot more time performing his duties as the god of burials, making his role as one of the first bridges between the living and dead much more prominent. The underworld is pulling at him just as much as it is pulling at the casulties of Greece. Two, Apollo is not spending time on Olympus, nor is he actively speaking with any of his worshipers. This is causing belief in him to diminish, so this is the closest he has ever gotten to fading. I swear I will write a whole thing about the period at some point I have so many ideas.
The sheep 2nd punishment Apollo has is a Chios sheep! They are actually native to Greece, and also adorable I love them.
I think that's all for now, I hope you guys like the art!!!

Apollo & Olympus
Beneath the Rhododendrons by Lepidopterrain
Carefully, she slipped past the hyacinths that had popped up around the bush like a small protective wall. They'd been the only reason she'd looked down at that spot really, and noticed the flash of gold curls amongst the pinks, reds, and purples of the rhododendrons. Artemis let her fingers linger on the petals of one of the small little guardian flowers, just for a moment. She'd never been sure if her brother had noticed just how little control he actually had over hyacinths, for a flower that was supposedly 'his.' She suspected Demeter and Persephone knew, if anyone. But neither goddess had deigned to talk of such matters with Artemis. Perhaps for the best, Artemis wasn't really sure what she would've said if they had tried to bring the subject up. There's a very good chance she wouldn't tried to shoot one of them and then escape while they were distracted. Emotions weren't her forte. She was grown enough to admit it.

Zeus loved Apollo, once. His favourite son, his golden child. His greatest threat. Day 19: And So The Sun Sets
Ancient Greece
A Sun's Forgiveness by @hazardous-lightdas12
“Mortals die Artemis,” Apollo whispers. “Their lives will forever wax and wane. Like the moon. The ebb and flow of Uncle Poseidon’s waves. But us. We are eternal. You must remember that.” Her brother sounds like he has said the words to himself too many times. – Apollo does not scream when the lightning bolt strikes him. -- Alt Summary: Fathers make mistakes sometimes. Hippolytus’ father has made the teensy, easily understandable and forgivable mistake of beheading his son due to unproven and untrue allegations. Artemis grieves. Apollo tries to make everything all better, and somehow ends up making everything worse. . Zeus is so good at daddying! Admetus worries about the logistics of cow-herding
Of ravens and songbirds by Cassiethewriter
The godling whimpered and fought, and Python refused to let the hiss of frustration fall out. “Quite understandable, too.” He said, coils growing tighter and making the godling cough again. “Poor fair Leto being hunted by the issued Hera, the Queen of Olympus and the only child raised by Rhea. You heard of Leto’s suffering from day one, and sought to bring justice to it. Very brave and god-like.” Python snorted again. “But I’m afraid this is where you myths start— and end. Right here, right now. Like a moth to the sun.” Or, The battle with Python.

Party On Olympus (gone wrong)
Mother’s hand was holding onto him firmly. Probably to stop Hermes from running down the hall and around the finely carved pillars decorating the sides of the palace. Despite the fact that if he were a mortal he would not even be walking yet, he already got himself into trouble recently.
Puppies (and why they can fix anything)
"Aww look at the puppy!” He raced forward, voice an octave higher than usual. As is normal when speaking to such an adorable creature.
Apollo & His Lovers
Naomi Solace
thinking about it, had a breakthrough by @thesungod
“I’m Naomi Solace!” “Okay?” “The singer?” Fred shakes his head, a smug smile on his lips. “Never heard of you.” “As Long As The Sun Shines? It was number 1 on the billboard for like, a month!” Hating herself, she starts mouthing the melody. There’s no way this asshole doesn’t know her stupid song. Naomi Solace meets an arrogant, young producer that she really wants to kick in the balls. Unfortunately, he seems to know what he’s doing.
Solar Powered by @curseofdelos (:D Glad to see you reblogged this hehe here's a tag :3)
Apollo, god of music, was how he had introduced himself. Naomi had assumed he was joking, and he didn't correct her. She had dated musicians and poets before. They all had an ego, and those same words would not have felt out of place from either of her exes. She merely downgraded Apollo from potential boyfriend to potential fling, and didn't think twice about it. Now though…. Now her son could heal wounds with a single touch, and her world was tipping on its axis.

When Apollo finally decided to wear a crown, it was her leaves that topped his head. But it wasn’t just he who wore her branches. Winners had her leaves on them too. Laurels. The symbol of victory.

time eats all his children by IzzyMRDB
There is something sickly in the passage of time. Time is a rot. A disease or a plague, a festering in your very being that blurs the past until it is tainted with the present. Until the present is tainted with the future. The Greeks were well aware of this sickness, for all their depictions of time, while divine, were also rotted. AKA Apollo is the god least touched by the passage of time, yet the one most affected by it. There's so much of the present that he could change. AKA Time Travel with Post-TOA Apollo
Flowers For Apollo by @soleil-in-retrograde
As far as Lester Papadopoulos was concerned, he was seventeen years old and lived at home with his elderly mother just outside of Tampa. He had a(n older? younger? twin?) sister who visited regularly and a baby sister(?) in California who called him her dummy and would help out with his mother's garden when she visited and he was teaching piano to. He also had a myriad of cousins who went to a camp up north he wrote constantly. He didn't know what he wanted to do with the life stretching in front of him. ----- The God Apollo has a bad habit of not telling people when something is wrong. It doesn't help he doesn't quite remember until it's too late. It's not his fault.
Over The Palisade by @aeithalian
This was an old dream. He’d had it many times before. Jerry, standing before the Roman Senate.  Mars, waving his hand. A lyre, appearing on Jerry’s arm.  Jerry’s prophecy: “Crowns will fall to ash.”  Jupiter, standing between the new augur and a towering statue of himself.  Apollo, standing between his father and his son.  Olympus, Apollo on his knees, trembling, electricity jumping over his arms. A stranger’s face, dark and stony. He says something, but the words are quiet.  The doors of the Palace of the Sun. Chained shut.  Or: Apollo has been missing for two and a half years, and there may or may not be an impending apocalypse.

THE MUST-READ Eclipse!!!!!!
According to the prophecy, Will has to go to on a quest to Tartarus. According to Apollo, that isn’t going to happen, even if it means he has to break the Ancient Laws.

Memories of Godly Selfishness
Chapter 1: Apollo and Meg watch Apollo's interactions with the demigods (and Grover) in Blood of Olympus and the Singer of Apollo. They don't like what they see. Chapter 2: Apollo, Meg, and Percy watch the fight with Otis and Ephialtes in Mark of Athena. Apollo gains new perspective on gods’ relationships with demigods. Chapter 3: Apollo, Meg, and Annabeth watch the final battle against Kronos and the aftermath, with a surprise guest later on. Chapter 4: Apollo and Meg watch “Welcome to Camp Half-Blood”. Apollo gives a long over-due apology. Chapter 5: Side Story - Satyr School: Apollo teaches some young satyrs. Chapter 6: Apollo, Meg, Thalia, and Will watch Thalia's and Luke's encounter with a certain son of Apollo.
A Convergence of Apollos
Percy had been hoping for a quiet afternoon celebrating Grover's birthday with him. Then Apollo arrived, and their peaceful afternoon got a lot less peaceful. It got even weirder when two kids popped out of thin air who both seemed to know him.

Apollo & The Aftermath
The Roman emperors and Python have been defeated, the oracles reclaimed, and Apollo restored to godhood. He's having somewhat of a hard time adjusting to being back among the gods, which is understandable after his six-month grow-a-conscience speedrun. But something else is rotten in the state of Olympus, and before it can really feel like home, it's going to require some serious renovation.
The Tail of A Pollo
The hunt for the Teumessian Fox hasn't been going great, but thanks to a new prophecy (of sorts), it looks like Apollo may be key to aiding the Hunters of Artemis in the beast's defeat. In like, a super badass, heroic way, of course. Actually, on second thought, maybe just imagine the monster's defeat in your head. You definitely don't have to read this. I'm certain you get the gist of it already. You can simply exit this tab real quick, no biggie. Have a lovely day!
Bad Sons by @thesungod
Hades turned to the demigods that were still kneeling. “I need to speak with Will Solace,” he said to the shocked room, in the tone he could have used to say “I came to ask if one of you could lend me a pen.” “Alone,” the god added after a moment, staring right at Nico. Or, Will and Nico go on the stupidest quest ever. And it’s all Apollo’s fault.

the grace of gods is a grace that comes by violence by @californiannostalgia
Were I That Burning Star, the first fic in the series, is an absolute Must Read imo
An old panic gripped me—the breathless fear of being forgotten, being lost. Would anyone remember me when I was gone? Would someone think to lay a flower down on my grave and say some fond nothings like, “Was a pretty cool guy, that Lester,” while wiping off a single dramatic tear rolling down their cheek? Oh, who was I kidding. So what if no one remembered? There wasn’t much I was proud to be remembered by anyway. After defeating Python and bringing down Nero, Phoebus Apollo reclaims his godhood. He is glorious once more. But for some reason, he can't quite make himself go back to how things were before. (A Character Study of Various Gods, including but not limited to: Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Athena, Hephaestus, Dionysus, and maybe Zeus)
Gods' Eye View by @flightfoot
Carefully, I picked out Apollo’s string. It glowed vibrantly, as the strings of all divine beings do. Mine most brilliantly of all, of course, though Apollo’s always seemed to be trying to outshine it. I firmly grasped hold of it, matching its own glow with my own. Slowly, I exerted my will, my power, pressing my radiance against the manifestation of Apollo’s, slowly increasing my light until it overpowered his. Yet, it resisted me, its glow strengthening, refusing to surrender. I grit my teeth. “I am Zeus, King of the Gods, and your father. Submit to me.” ----- Zeus tries to turn Apollo into a mortal. It does not go as well as he expected. That only incenses him further.

Zoe did not like Lord Apollo. He was too arrogant, too vain, and flirted with her and her fellow hunters incessantly. He always appeared in their camp at the most inconvenient times, offering archery tips that no one wanted and being a persistent source of annoyance to Lady Artemis near constantly. Zoe did not like Lord Apollo, but sometimes, when Zoe asked a Hunter how they knew something they couldn’t have possibly found out by themselves, and they told her about their dream, she would look up at the sun, and she would wonder… or Zoe did not get demigod dreams… until she did.
