I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about reblogs. Please know that my mental health is the reason I haven’t been touching OC posts. (if you have no idea what I’m talking about see this post) It hurts my heart slightly to not interact so much with y’all.
But please know that once I’m in a better place mentally (for more than a day or two) I plan on going through my notifications and getting stuff queued to ocappreciation and chapter updates queued here too. It will take me some time likely, but I’ll do it.
I need to take care of myself first. I know that most of you understand, but I just wanted y’all to know that it’s not you - it truly is me.  And I hope one day soon to be able to get to them.
In the meantime, if you want to make sure that I’ll eventually see it @ me at either @arrthurpendragon or @ocfairygodmother - both will give me an email that will be easy for me to find!

im not dead
just busy & stressed. trying to work up the motivation to work on the picrew again, i'm very sorry for the absence. i'm terrible with finishing big projects but i promise i am doing my best to finish this one. i don't want to let you all down. it will be finished, but chances are it won't be for a while. by the end of the month i should have a few big looming responsibilities finished and hopefully that will free up time and mental space to keep working on the captainsona picrew.
again, i am so sorry it's taking so long to follow through on my promises. i knew it was a big risk to get so many people on board for the idea when i know that i have a bad track record with following through. but the support and excitement you all have shown me is what's keeping me going. i can't promise when this project will be done, but i swear that i will not abandon it, even if it takes years.
thank you for all your support. i may not be active as much as i was before, but I'll post an update when i start working on the picrew again. i appreciate each and every one of you, captains.
taglist (and some rambling/minor info) below
another reason i was putting this off was bc i have over 50 people on my taglist! which is crazy, thank you all so much for the support! but i didn't know how to get around the max tags so that was another roadblock. i asked for help eventually (wild how that is a thing u can do when ur stuck, ik /s) and figured out the best way to do that is by adding the other people in a reblog, so that's coming soon.
@intellexual-asexual @goldglitch @zephyrus77 @technologyvoid @nicenice7 @kaar-ne @lostglassguitars @happistar @hink12 @captain-m-faye @weird-hellsite @dimnomss @i-got-a-bad-feeling-about-this @god-tier-bastard @bluewolfangel @themanbehindurfather @calvin-kingofwhatever @worldtravelerbuff @kai-justis @backtothefuturefan88 @fennfruners @catonfence @i-need-a-real-username @yourthoughtsjim @the-fat-raccoon @inesdsleep @the-actor-you-love-to-hate @weirdmixofweirdness @flerpdederp-likes @captain-heebie-jeebie @starry-nightengale @soap-stains @abyssal-zone-stares-back @talander2can @sleeping-void @immyowengod @drops-ofmadness @valis-geese @miss-antivinny @matter-of-the-universe @survive0000 @just-4nother-ghost @rustychips @cursednevermore @ashofacrow @niconooo @justablix @hink12 @voidling-games
also, in the meantime, i have a ton of (mostly markcu) reblogs queued. i didn't want to start posting them before i gave yall an update tho, so enjoy. if u are just here for the picrew and don't want to see all my other stuff tho i would reccommend following #captainsona picrew instead of my whole blog.

hi friends!! 💜✨
Happy Patch Day! 😁
OK so... this may be an unpopular opinion, but I wasn’t completely on board with the new pack when it was first announced.
I still don’t really care too much for the active high school “career” (unlike most people I prefer rabbit holes). I don’t really want to spend ALL DAY focused on just my teens, or just one YA/adult sim at work... I have big families and like to rotate between who I’m focusing on all the time... but I’m starting to see some of the appeal.
The non-school features are gonna be pretty cool. I like the after school activities (are there more besides cheerleading? I assumed so but there might not be). I like the clothes... I’ve been trying to use more Maxis stuff in my game and some of it I probably will use. The build & buy is so cool! I can’t wait to build a high school in my BACC. It’ll probably double as a community center and teen hangout too because, again, I don’t plan on playing teens at school very often.
I’m really excited to see more gameplay, especially the wants & fears! Still a bit mad that the kids and toddlers don’t get any love whatsoever... but that’s an issue for another rant. I’m sure they’ll get their own packs entirely dedicated to them soon enough... Right? 😭
Also “mad” is a strong word. I’m not actually mad. I love this game a lot and just want the best for it.
As for how this new pack will influence my BACC... I think it’ll probably be a HUGE deal. This is such a good pack for family-focused players like myself. I’m excited to see all of the new rules/goals that get created for this pack, although it’s also stressing me out a bit to think about updating my spreadsheet.
On a similar note, I’m almost completely out of queued posts. I only have 2.5ish days left of content for you guys unfortunately... which is why I’m writing this... to act as a bit of filler. I wanted to play today in offline mode but I don’t think I can.
I wanna give Caeley the Party Animal trait when she ages up so bad... but that means not playing the game until I buy the pack and update mods. She ages up in 1 (one) day!! Literally the next time I open up the game she’s gonna be aging up into a Young Adult. She’s gonna be all grown up, what the heck??
I could always just give her another trait and change it... but I don’t wanna. I always take screenshots of my sims’ age up message with their new traits and don’t want to ruin the tradition I’ve had going for over a year.
I don’t know if I can get the pack right away either since I just spent my money on a family vacation... 😭 Such first world problems. LOL 🤣 We’ll see though. I’ll give it a few days. Maybe I’ll reblog everyone else’s stuff in the meantime.
But anyway! I’m rambling now. I’m very excited to see what y’all think of this pack and see some of your screenshots. I loved seeing werewolves all over my dash but now I think it’s time to see an endless amount of teenagers (as if my dash hasn’t been filled with the “teen a day” CAS challenge posts for the few days/week).
If you plan on buying the pack I hope you have fun, and please be kind to the gurus! I know patches are frustrating but I’m sure it’ll be worth it!

2-3-23 Update
Exciting news today, everyone! As of yesterday, the current set of signs for the TickTockStuck Extended Zodiac is now finished!
So what happens now? We’ll be going on a hiatus while the next set is going through its production phases. I can’t say right now exactly how long the break will be, but I can say with some certainty that it’ll be at least two months. Once the signs in the next set are closer to being done I can give a better timeframe for when we’ll be posting regularly again.
As for the next set, there’s some details I can get out right out of the gate. It’ll be 212 signs in total similar to this last set, which means 4 signs each for each caste color and aspect. The specific caste-aspect matchups have already been decided, and as of writing this post the bunch is a little over 60% designed already. The next set will feature, among other things:
The final signs of the Final Fantasy III series we’ve been posting.
A bevvy of signs that are either patron signs or signs based on real constellations in the same vein.
We won’t be able to hit Sign #1000 just yet (the set starts at Sign #743 and should go up to #955) but we will hit our 2/13ths milestone! Our 1/13th milestone was a good time but we’re sure this next one will take your breath away!
During the break, I’ll also be taking the time to make some updates over on [our main blog]. Importantly, there’s some significant updates coming to our aspect catalog which will necessitate updating some of our signs; when that happens I’ll likely be queuing up reblogs for those signs for some flavor during our intermission.
In the meantime, we’d like to thank our followers for your continued support, and we hope to get our catalog updating for you again soon!

“THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE TRAVESTY! A CRIME AGAINST EVERY LAW OF LIFE AND LIMB! A STANCE HEROES SHOULD NEVER TAKE!“
Not-Twilight turns his head slightly to the left, and sighs.
“Everyone, duck.“
Something violently red launches overhead, crashing into the ancient bookshelf behind them.
A hylian emerges, completely unscathed.
“Absolutely none of you-“ he breathlessly wheezes, all the meantime being picked up by Not-Twilight. “-are wearing hats. Heroes. Not. Wearing. Hats.“
Legend (the only one wearing a hat, funnily enough) gestures insultingly to himself, gears grinding in the back of his world-weary head.
The fellow Hero (as he has a sword and shield, multiple Adventure Bags, and a green floppy hat) blinks, swears in a foreign tongue (the only reason they know is is because Legend reflexively mutters ‘language’) and then continues to bellow at the top of his lungs in Wild’s Malice-poisoned, monster-infected Hyrule Castle.

There are four things Four wants to do, right now.
One is, of course, hug the pain out of Twilight, and most likely cry from hearing his strong heartbeat under their ears.
Another, is to join Wild in the kitchen, baking and cooking multiple banquets worth of food and perhaps address the hallucinations. And the broken sword, because he still sorta angry about that.
A third would be to talk to Warriors and Sky, get them updated on the whole ‘Twilight is Wolfie’ situation, and all that.
Fourthly, he would like nothing but to hide away in the library they had glimpsed while searching for Wild, and finally relax for… the rest of the day.
Four slips into a side closet, and pulls the Four Sword.
Red launches into their paid room, only his small size saving Twilight from yet another injury as he’s joined in the bed.
Blue marches into the kitchen, bops Wild’s shoulder, grumbles about the sword, and then doesn’t say another word about it while helping the cook.
Green calls Sky and Warriors into a corner, temporarily brushing away their questions about the completely green tunic as he speaks about Twilight and Wolfie.
Vio catches Time’s attention.
“Little One?”
“Library.” Vio whispers. “Be back at sundown.. hopefully.”

Time kneels-almost sits-on the ground. He’s still a good two heads taller than the Group Four, but it’s an attempt that the Group Four visibly appreciate.
“Hello, Little Ones.” he softly greets, “I am Time.”
“As in the Hero of Time?” the Group Four ask, wincing slightly when their voices are a bit loud.
Time nods.
“We know a Hero of Time. Two, in fact.”

The blade Kaeya summons is not the Flute.
It’s black and blue, its crossguard a simple knot design Diluc faintly recalls, spiraling up the hilt and down the blade. The blade is long-as long as some shorter claymores Diluc had used, and its golden hilt is larger than normal to compensate.
It’s littered with Kheanri’ahn stars.
What is it called, Kaeya?
Quietly, in the safety of this alcove of the Abyss and surrounded by thousands of warriors, Kaeya admires the unfamiliar blade, whispering something in Kheanri’ahn.
“Dainsleif.” the soldiers reply, “det heter Dainsleif.”

My #1 post of 2022
“Master Link, your soul is fractured.”
Four swings the Master Sword upward, slicing a moblin head clean off.
“Master Link, your soul is fractured.”
A keese swarm scatters as Four sends blades of light at the Wizrobes behind them.
“Master Link, your soul is fractured.”
the not-Wild’s-Hyrule’s Lynel (seeing this tiny hylian just decimate half their forces despite the occasional black blood) decides to flee.
“Master Link-”
“I know!“ Four growls, practically flying every time he swings the blade.

Mental Health Month
Hey, everyone.  We know things are hard for a lot of people right now, and we are sending our love and good wishes to all of you.  We hope to have some postcards queued soon, and we will be celebrating Fortune Friday next week.
In the meantime, we have a small giveaway for you as well as some resources.
Giveaway
We have purchased a new deck of Thera-pet cards by Kate Allan (@thelatestkate) and would like to mail at least one card to each of you.  To ensure your card will be helpful or inspiring to you in particular, we have set up a survey for you to fill out.  You can fill out the giveaway survey here.  The survey will be available all month.
Resources
@attainablerecovery has a Google drive full of books on trauma and dissociation, including a couple of titles that have been recommended to me again and again by therapists: "The Body Keeps the Score" by Bessel van der Kolk and "Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving" by Pete Walker (which we gave away copies of last year!).  Please consider reblogging @attainablerecovery‘s pinned post to spread this valuable resource.  (Yes, this is me giving you permission to pirate for your own mental health.)
I wish I had the energy to provide more resources, but you can find a worldwide list of suicide crisis lines here and, if you’re located in the United States, you can find a list of warmlines here (for when you just need to talk to someone).  And again, if you’re in the United States, you can find more resources at NAMI or Mental Health America.
Take good care of yourselves, everyone. ♥

A Little Update!
Hi, lovelies! So here’s the thing: I fought through my writer’s block and I finally finished the requests I had in my writing list, all except for the ficlets. I really wanted to complete those requests in order to post them so the lovely people that requested them could finally read them.
My queued is filled up for three weeks, starting tomorrow until the 22th. It’s set up to one post a day, and I’ll be posting the requests as well as some other things that have been sitting in my drafts for a while.
Now, while I have queued those requests and they will start posting next weekend, I still don’t feel ready to fully come back. I will be around more for sure, but I’m not prepared to open requests again soon (not until I get rid of this stupid writer’s block) and I don’t really know what else to post in the meantime since I’m not inspired for my series or my OCs either. I may reblog some ask games and post some other stuff, but I'm thinking about taking aesthetic and moodboard requests. Would you lovelies be interested in that?
I also wanted to talk about ficlet requests. This part is under the cut just in case this post is getting too long and some people are not interested in my ficlet requests.
Luckily, everyone that requested a ficlet is off anon, so to those people ( @caritobbg @msaerithxiii @superwhoflarrow123 @the-mechanical-angel @fedorable-killjoys @imaginationismykingdom) I profoundly apologize for taking so long and for needing to take even longer. While I had all ficlets planned out, I can’t bring myself to actually write them yet since they are so long and complex and it takes a lot out of me. These last months have been really hard for me and I don’t feel in the right mental state to work on something like that. I promise to finish them as soon as I am able to write again, and I will personally let you know via messaging system when I finally finish them. I feel terrible for making you wait so long, but I truly appreciate how patient you’ve been up until this point 💜

Hello, starshine!
So it’s been a while. Hope everyone is safe and doing well. I've pondered whether I should make an *update post* because I've never been the type to talk about personal details here anyway. But since I have few questions on my inbox, I guess I should make one.
The short version is that despite the shock that the world has experienced this year, thankfully, everything's coming up roses in my RL! I got engaged to my best friend this year, and will finish my Master's Degree soon! :) Actually, shortly after entering grad school, I quit my job at a Fortune Global 500 company to take a risk in establishing a startup with my partners after heated arguments, nudges of reassurance and enticement from them. I'm very pedantic and risk-averse, so it was a huge gamble but, we're finally reaping the fruits of our labour because IoT is shaping the world in the most exciting ways! But also because of the pandemic, I'm doing my best to cope with travel protocols to switch between 4 countries to balance work, studies and personal relationships.
Tumblr media
That said, I'm now able to pop into tumblr because of the pandemic! Since only "essential travel" is recommended during the holidays, might as well update my blog haha. I queued some posts that have been on my drafts for ages, and will *shamelessly reblog* on queue some old ones just to keep the blog running for a few days. Also, I’m now in the process of privately replying to non-anonymous asks and DMs; if I haven't replied to your message, it means I wasn't able to read it yet, or it was an interesting ask that I'd like to reply to when I'm able. I apologise in advance, but bear in mind that I have hundreds of DMs and asks that I have to catch up with! D:
I'll prolly take a very long hiatus again, but I don't think I'll delete my blog anyway.. (at least for now, mehehehe) In the meantime, again, I hope everyone is doing fab and taking care of themselves~
-Georgina

Can We Discuss Game Hiatuses?
I want to preface this enter post with the comment that I am absolutely not saying "Oh, if you're not enjoying SSO, you should just leave the community." That's a bad argument used against criticism that I do not promote. However, I am going to talk about how if you're not enjoying SSO, why you should take a pause from playing.
I'm going to generally credit @centeris2 on this topic, because while I'm not using direct quotes (because private convos aren't exactly the style I want to use for Can We Discuss), we had a long conversation about this topic and she made a lot of good points for this that I wanted to discuss. Some of these points are based on her opinions, a lot of out thoughts blurred together so it's hard to directly credit, and she gave me the ok to talk about it and use her thoughts.
In any case, let's start with the fact that it is perfectly normally to like something and still drop it for years at a time, or to not directly engage with it. For instance, I adore the Legend of Zelda franchise (were it not obvious from my recent to be rescheduled event), but I haven't personally picked up a LOZ game for a year-ish now when I replayed Minish Cap. That doesn't revoke my LOZ fan card, that's a perfectly normal thing to do. Most of you will have done this throughout your life, more and more recognizably as you get older.
This however can get blurred by fandom. It is very often that folks with hyperfixations on a thing, who may or may not engage with something more regularly than other media, will get involved in fandom and make a lot of content for that fandom. These people can produce loads of content on a piece of media and this can fuel a community, even if the rest of the community isn't actively engaging with that media. It also doesn't specifically mean that people with hyperfixations are constantly engaging with that media. Going back to that LOZ example, I wrote LOZ fanfic for years without actively playing more than one LOZ game maybe a year or two. Content can be queued, be entirely original outside of the media, and still last a long time and engage with the fandom at large.
The point is to say, even if you make content and enjoy a piece of media, you don't have to actually be playing/reading/listening/watching it constantly. In fact, normally modern fandom culture makes that pretty easy to do, though it can sometimes make us feel like we're still engaging directly with the media even if we're technically not. But it's good to take a step back and acknowledge that. A lot of younger fans in fandom have a hard time with this, which is why I'm taking the time to point it out. A lot of young fans will hyperengage in a fandom because they want to be involved in this fandom they love, only to burn themselves out and be turned away by their frustration. It's important then to acknowledge this scenario to encourage better, healthier involvement with fandom. Still, in this situation, you can easily bow out of a fandom if you need to take a break and then come back when something new happens in it, like a new release or update. This may feel like a fandom "dies" when a piece of media ends, but for active media, it's a normal and healthy thing to do.
SSO on the other hand does not encourage the ability for people to take a break, or at least it does it at the detriment of the player. Because of the weekly updates, players are constantly checking for the chance that there is something interesting coming out. This is somewhat addressed by the monthly roadmaps the team has been putting out, but that also just extends the period of time people are waiting for news and they're still staying in the release cycle for more clarification. For instance, we know Silverglade Village is getting an update at the end of the month, but knowing SSO's release cycle, are they going to tease some more of the changes? Are they going to reveal how wide the area of update is going to be? Will any NPCs get updates with it? This is still in the weekly cycle and it keeps players from building up actual suspense for updates if we know when content is coming out. It also takes away a lot of suspense when the content isn't main content, like new areas or story. While the suspense for the Fripp quests I would say were quite large, I wouldn't say that any of the other updates have shared the same attention. This is why most companies will release roadmaps for quarters or for a year.
And this isn't to say that SSE as a company shouldn't be releasing media content weekly, they should. That's good social media. But there are ways to engage with fans that don't drag out a reliance to engage weekly, things like community contests, highlighting fans, or promoting fanmade content. But when every update is super in the eyes of social media, fatigue and apathy are going to start to kill actual excitement unless it's something major.
I don't think it's a secret that I think the weekly updates aren't good for the game on the development side. I think it creates a pseudo-crunch culture on the developers so that they can't work on larger projects that players are asking for, like an engine overhaul (it took FFXIV two years to do theirs, when are the devs supposed to have time on SSO to switch now). But, I also don't think it's good for the players. Yes, there's something every week, but how are players actually engaging each week and how much time can we build up anticipation or get excited when each week that gets diffused by something that's not super exciting the majority of other weeks? Which doesn't mean that that content is bad, but it clearly builds frustration in the community to have "filler" content. When's the next story quests, when's the next map expansion, when's the next major mechanic being added, etc. We're constantly discussing the next big thing and then finding reasons to be excited in the meantime. This does not spark joy.
But in order to take a break, either you need to be on top of your Stable Care (likely to pull you back in), or just stop caring about your horses while you're away (unlikely considering the horse girl is strong in this community). The first requires Star Coins, which is arguably saying "You have to pay real money to take a break," and the second is actively punishing you mechanically for not being committed to playing. Neither of those allow the player to take healthy, normal breaks from the community to engage in other things. And that's an issue.
Yes, MMOs need regular engagement. Active servers and participation are a part of what makes them more marketable. But there are ways to do that without penalizing players. And I'm not suggesting that the care system needs to be entirely removed, but it does need to be entirely reworked so players can leave the game without coming back penalized. Things like the care system not affecting stats, but increasing your RNG for finding doubles of crafting items, or doubling your shilling rewards from dailies. WoW's inn system rewards players for taking breaks by double your exp gain longer depending on how long you were away. Others like Guild Wars 2 will give you log in rewards that build up to bigger prizes over time. There are ways to do this.
And I understand that a lot of folks like the current care system because it's realistic. But there has to be a line in game development where enjoyment in a game is prioritized over the realism of the game, not to mention the health of the player. Yes, the daily care system is more realistic, but if it is developing an obsessive habit of play to enjoy content that is, realistically, months to years down the line, that's not good for the player and should be changed so players can break from the game without coming back to punished controls. There are better systems that can still be realistic, things like crafting feed schedules to recover health boosts faster instead of having to see the vet, increasing how often the mood goes up so it doesn't take a whole week, changing it so when taking a horse for a ride the mood will increase every 10 or so minutes by engaging with a horse you like. Rewarding players for getting on and playing the game instead of making them dread missing when they should be coming back with excitement for the game.
All of that said, I want to encourage all of you to play more games where you can. I know there are system limitations, restricted budgets, and sometimes regional limits because of limited languages or just straight regionlocks. But in the same way reading makes you a better reader and writer, gaming makes you a better gamer (and developer/designer if you go that route). It helps you identify what you like in games and in the same way that reading other things makes coming back to your favorite all that much better, so does playing other games. I'm going to reblog this in a bit with some games I'd recommend with links to Steam and Epic and I'd encourage you all to do the same.
The takeaway I hope to give is that it's normal and healthy to take a break from games. You can still engage with media without directly engaging with it through fandom. SSE can do more to not penalize players for wanting to take a break, and should. And where you can, you should play more games and break for the health of your relationship with a piece of media you like.

Hi everyone!
I’ve been meaning to make this post for a while now and say hi to all of my followers, old and new...
I have no idea why you guys are here, but I’m very thankful that you are and I hope you know how much I appreciate you all! And it makes me happy to know you’ve chosen to see my content on your dashboard; to think that I have something I can contribute to you!
To make it easier to find my stuff (fics, meta, newer ships, older ones, whatever), I’ve put everything on my content masterlist which you can now always access from my pinned post (where you can also find explanations and screenshots on using the masterlist).
I also thought I might mention: I’ve been struggling with some medical stuff. I’m not as around as I’d like to be. I’m doing my best to still help others by queuing up posts and reblogging Buddie content to the @dailybuddie, but especially as the new season start, there’s a chance I’d miss things. Please never hesitate to send me posts I might have missed and I will happily reblog and support you!
It also means I’m way behind on Tumblr games of all sorts (and other things), but know I will do my best to catch up whenever I can and in the meantime, I am always happy and appreciated being included.
Thank you all for making this year nicer and this blog a place that feels like it’s always positive. Keep being lovely and may 2021 be good to all of us and bring with it nothing but kindness and good! xoxoxox
Alice.

Hi
I know a lot of you are probably expecting like... an actual post, but I’m sorry to let you down.
After experiencing some major fandom burnout I have yet to recover from, I’m steadily losing interest in writing for MHA characters.
I do still love it, but creating new content that I can be happy to share is not happening for me anymore, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back any time soon.
In the meantime, I’m hoping that focusing on writing more original works and focusing on areas I’ve been wanting to explore will help me work through whatever funk I’m experiencing, and I’ll be able to write here again soon.
With that said:
I do have some things I originally wrote for Patreon queued up. Unfortunately, I was made to remove them, but I liked them too much to get rid of indefinitely, so I’ll be aiming to post any MHA related ones here.
Thank you to everyone who’s been patient with me thus far, thank you to everyone who supported me, and thank you to my silent readers who enjoyed my writing enough to leave a like, maybe a reblog, or just a follow.

I know I rarely post/reblog but I’m queuing up a bunch of posts and I’m going to take another social media hiatus. I spend waaay too much time just idly scrolling that could be better spent reading, drawing, or sewing. (Might even queue up some of my self indulgent Warden Surana x Nathaniel Howe doodles on main/art blog. Who knows!)
Tentatively thinking of coming back in the summer (and a short while in May because of Multiverse of Madness aha), so maybe around June. Hit me up on Discord if you need me in the meantime.
Until then--be good, kids!

Welcome to OC Hub
Hi guys! This blog is dedicated to reblogging and boosting works involving original characters. Since tumblr’s new adjustments have killed OC community blogs as they functioned before, this is going to work differently. Since tags are not tracking properly, they will not be the main source of awareness for posts on this blog.
Three ways OC Hub will find posts:
Include us in your taglists! Tag us directly on edits/updates/etc.
Follow the blog, and it will follow you back. OC posts on the blog’s timeline will be reblogged or queued.
Tag #OCHub in posts... and maybe if the tumblr gods smile on us, it will work the way it should. If not, the other methods will do.
In addition, this blog will have a compiled list/page of OC creators. If you would like your blog added, please send an ask with the url to list.
You are welcome to tag your posts with #ochub but given tumblr’s recent shift it is not a reliable method of finding posts, sadly. Hopefully things will return to the way they were before soon! And in the meantime... maybe this blog can help some folks out. Please be kind! <3
