Re: the altruism post you get it, it's not that I hate helping people or don't want them to be happy but it doesn't often give me warm fuzzy feelings. It sounds so mean but I can handle one emotional conversation a month, if that, and helping people with their problems usually involves responding correctly to their emotions too. I'm bad at that! I might make it worse! I worked customer service for years and was always confused when people talked about how helping customers made them feel good

Yeah. I mean, I do get some warm fuzzy feelings from it, but my concern has always been that I don't get them enough and that I'd be more altruistic if I had them more/more strongly, so seeing very popular posts reassuring people that it's ok to get warm fuzzies and that doesn't make them less altruistic is certainly a strange feeling!

Contender for my new favourite character dynamic: Creature of deathless nature who keeps dying and resuscitating over and over because they keep saving their unwittingly carefree (or rather careless) partner by bargaining with the gods in order to keep exchanging their fates. Shenanigans ensue in order to keep this a secret because nonchalant as Character B is they would absolutely be heartbroken and devastated about this happening (more than once)

the initials in john’s stories do match the lyctors’ and their cavaliers’ initials so i’ve been assuming that’s who this is about but also when mercy and augustine call john out about perfect lyctorhood their whole thing about the eyes sounds like sleuthing rather than an accusation based on their memories

however, he is naming two of the bodies names that a lyctor/cavalier pair have so who knows. cant wait to see how this goes

Silly LMK au where Bai He is Tang's daughter;

Tang aquires Bai He (adoption, next of kin, or biologically) around the time Pigsy finds MK, causing the two new parents to go "well damn, we're together with kids now I guess. Might as well move in together." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pigsy is convinced that their precious baby girl can do no wrong - Tang is far more wiser about his daughter's tricks - Bai He has her Baba wrapped around her little finger.

Canon is almost identical at first except MK pretty much grows up with a mischievous baby sister that he's uber protective of. And ofc MK openly calls the two men his parents (Baba and Bama/Pama for Pigsy and Tang respectively) cus why not? Probably has a small crisis at the age he realises that he's not Freenoodles bio-kid.

Bai He likes following/tagging along on noodle drives to hang out with her big bro (and play Pokemon Go). She tags along with MK on the fateful delivery that leads to him getting the staff.

Bai He is the type of little kid to look the newly-resurrected Demon Bull King in the eye and loudly proclaim; "HEY! You leave my gēge alone you bully!", causing MK to panic even harder about the situation they're both in. (Though DBK & PIF are struck impressed by the human calf's daring).

When MK gains the Monkey King himself as his mentor - Bai He respectively gains a shadowy bodyguard.

Things after New Years however? Well...

Lets just say that LBD cannot hide from the fury of the Golden Cicada :)

A: Dungeon Meshi has several worldbuilding details and extra comics in different publications. You can check this post with the places where the extras/information sources

Q: Have you ever posted about [subject]

A: I haven't posted about everything related to dungeon meshi but please check my pinned post! I have a list of tags there, if you don't find specifically what you were looking try to search for it on my blog, I do my best to tag stuff so it can be found. A: Who knows! Mostly likely he's under 80 (16 in tallmen years) my best guess is that he's 14.

A: Not really (Spoilers)

Q: Isn't Izutsumi a cat that was transformed into a human?

A: That's not a very accurate description, Izutsumi is a beastkin who was created using ancient magic by fusing the soul of a 6 year old child with the soul of a cat monster known as a greater cat. She's not "A cat that was turned into a human" nor a "human that was turned into a cat" as my understanding goes she was both and now she's still both, spoilers but the plot twist of the Lycion extra is that she can never be fully human again (there's more monster than human so she can't transform between the forms like Lycion)

A: Yes. They probably borrow some. Another person feeds it blood. Probably? For better answers please check the fairy tag LOL

Q: Are there monsters outside dungeons?

A: All points to yes, dungeons just seem to have a higher density of mana which allows more monsters to survive in a higher population.

Q: Is resurrection possibly in any dungeons or only in The Island?

A: According to the adventurer's bibles most man-made dungeons have the revival magic active. Here's a post all about resurrection and healing magic:

Q: Why did Fleki get brain damage when her Familiar got destroyed and Marcille didn't?

A: Probably has something to do with the complexity of the familiar and the strength of the connection, lots of people sent some theories pleas check the familiars tag if you wanna read up.

Q: What does the tattoos mean? What do Magic Tattoos do? Only beastmen have tattoos?

A: Those are Magic Tattoos, they work as a supplement for magic, I assume similar to magic circles or magic runes they use in other places in the anime, they aren't necessarily only for beastmen

Q: How does Mana/The Winged Lion/Dungeons work? (and related questions)

A: I made a post about dungeons you might wanna check, haven't done specific posts for the greater demon/winged lion but you can check the tags for some theories/other asks!
