For all of y'all that voted yes on the poll: my 13/Amy/Rory Playlist. This covers the entirety of their arc (including the fics yet to come), so there are minor spoilers as to the general vibes of the series as the songs are all in order, but also have some major bangers!
A 24 tracks and a 3 disk--I think it's more of a marketing thing for him to sell more merch. There are significant mood changes on the three albums so it's kinda cool that he did this, however he has the track 'NME' which I think is from last year; I've definitely heard it before. Makes you wonder how much of this is recycled? Looking forward to the halloween mix; truly is the master of branding this type of music.
We're excited to officially partner with Sable Valley to bring RL GRIME and the Touching Grass Tour. Featuring many special guests, new show, and new production.
Seeing Daya complete her arc from breakout two-hit-wonder pop singer to featured EDM vocalist is honestly pretty cool. Maybe she could have become a pop star, but I think this is a better use of her talents tbh
First long run of the program yesterday, first of 12, first non-race of 8, did 5 miles on a hotel treadmill in between two soccer games in rainy Bradenton, Florida.
Treadmill makes it easy to control your pace, still feels slow going 60 to 90 seconds off my target pace of 9 min/mi, thus 10 to 10:30 pace. Did first mile at 5.7 mph, the second at 5.8, the third and fourth at 5.9, and the last at 6, 1% incline, as I think that's what your supposed to do on a treadmill.
Although it does feel slow, I do work up a good sweat, so it felt like something. I remind myself, I am in control, this program is important, I am doing something, accomplishing something.
I watch Man City blow a 2-goal lead in the final 20 minutes to draw with Palace 2-2 in low-def on the screen on my treadmill which sucked. I deal with 3 or 4 kids treating the other treadmill and elliptical in this tiny hotel gym like playground equipment, wanting to say something to the dad, but the look in his eyes told me he was just hanging on by a thread, so I gave him a pass.
I turn up the volume on my AirPods for my final third mile or so, "Runner" by RL Grime blocking out world around me. I am a runner and it feels good.
