What a dumb, stupid and pretentious name. Peter grumbled internally as he roughly lifted a car to get the stuck civilian out. 

What a dweeb. Nerd. Idiot. Uncreative peace of work. 

He shook his head and almost groaned aloud. He sounded awfully like his former highschool bully just then. What has his life turned into?

Peter never thought that he could hate the color red as much as he does now. Why would anyone want to wear that color in daylight anyway? It’s like they're asking to be seen or something. What an attention seeker.

“Ah, Spidey? You alright there, buddy?” Iron man asked beside him.

“Look at him. Who wears armour nowadays? Does he think we’re in a mediaeval century or something? And who drives a horse in a city, that’s practically an abuse to any car that it could shit on. What if an old lady was driving one and it just shits on the front of the car. Does he know how hazardous that is?” 

“Right,” Tony said slowly before stepping away and pointing to where Cap was standing. “I’m just gonna go over there. See what they're up to.”

Peter was too busy glaring to notice the other man leave. 

Johnny was smiling that crooked smile. That thing he does when there is no camera present. That honest smile that is rarely seen by anyone that wasn’t a friend or a family member. And unless the armour guy was his long lost brother then there was no absolute reason he should be pointing that beau- pretty- awful stupid smile at him.

This was just unfair. Johnny should be talking to him, and not some rando over there. Where was his hug? His ‘Spidey, spidey, oh my gosh spidey let’s hang out. The pizzas on me cause you’re so amazing.’ 

But no. Johnny was still over there, with his bright sunshine smile, and his almost glowing hair. His blue eyes shining with mirth and something else that Peter only ever sees being pointed at him whenever they hang out. That was his smile. Or he thought it was his, until now that is.
