ss/mayo blogspot lore + frerard theory

hi I'm about to drop some insane lore that I don't think a lot of mcr fans/frerard theorists know about. this isn't discussed often so I figured I should write about it here before all the evidence is lost to time.

this is probably gonna be a long one so buckle in! i have gathered as much evidence here as possible but there's no way to be certain about anything. i'm trying to maintain as much journalistic integrity as i can throughout this post (also trying super hard not to insert my opinion too much) because i think a lot of this speaks for itself.

so i have a pretty significant frerard theory but i have to give a lot of backstory and documentation for it to fully make sense. this will not be in chronological order (to best suit the narrative) but i hope it makes sense

many people know about frank's F.T. Willz endeavors which have been proven as him in recent years. however, "ss" or "shitsubou shita" was another blog he had before this which is not widely known

around 2007, there was a major theory in the fandom that gerard and frank were running secret blogspot accounts where they'd post journals, poetry, etc. frank's account was iamthemodernprometheus.blogspot.com and gerard's supposed account was its-mayonaise.blogspot.com. both accounts are still up, though i'm not sure if any posts have since been deleted. this probably sounds crazy so i'll explain everything!

evidence for frank as SS/shitsubou-shita/iamthemodernprometheus

i strongly believe this was frank's personal blog, but you can come to your own conclusions based on this info

frank's supposed original blogspot handle was "shitsubou-shita." once fans realized this was his account, he deleted it pretty much immediately. you can read some fan discussion about the fall out from this in a comment thread here. this comment thread will be linked a few times in this post because most of the screenshots on this post originate from there.

apparently *frank* was posting some very personal thoughts/feelings on this blog that he did not want to be discovered. i'll go over some of the deleted posts in a minute, but first i need to give more a little more context.

at the same time the blog is found, someone comments "your fired" on a recent post. apparently some fans thought the comment looked strangely out of place, and it was one of the last comments left before the account's deletion, on one of the final posts made.

this will be relevant later on, and we'll get into the account's posts soon.

my theory is that someone on the "inside" could have found his personal blog and tried spooking him, which could have been the final straw for him. or, the account being deleted could be completely unrelated to the weird comment. all of this can be found here (same link i posted previously)

months after deleting their blog, shitsubou shita begins posting under a new url "iamthemodernprometheus" (but still under the pen name "shitsubou shita" or "ss" as fans called him)

in his new blog, and similarly to F.T. Willz years later, he still leaves plenty of crumbs for fans to figure out it's him. screenshot sources are below

latin heading: his page had a latin heading that when translated, reads "keep the faith"

bio on blogspot: "industry - chemicals", and "you dont stop playing cos you get old…you get old cos you stop playing" both sound suspiciously personal to frank

his url choice: "the modern prometheus" is the full title of mary shelley's frankenstein. frankenstein is a character that frank has always deeply resonated with due to his namesake, love of horror, and being born on halloween

spelling of wierd: SS and frank both spell "weird" as "wierd"

i think he enjoyed the mystery of having a secret online persona, which eventually led to the creation of F.T. Willz in 2008. it seems like wanted to leave just enough evidence for people to suspect it was him, but not enough to prove it.

here are some snippets of 2007 era discourse about the identity of "ss" and their deleted blog. you can find all of these comments and more context here. this was around the time gerard got married and fans felt like the dynamic on stage was different, and they were concerned about the future of the band. it's a LOT to go over so i would advise reading the comments if you want more perspective

on the next page, an anonymous comment is posted which fans immediately begin to speculate is SS (frank). again, if you click the link you can get way more context than i'm able to provide here.

this insinuates that SS frequented the comments on mayo's blog, which i don't think he would have done without believing/knowing mayo is gerard

there was a lot discussed in this thread including pretty solid evidence that frank/ss wrote the ancient and historic "eliza post"

if you are not aware of the eliza cuts drama, that's a totally different and equally as insane rabbit hole you'll have to research on your own

tldr; she is gerard's mentally unstable ex-fiance who he was engaged to very shortly before lindsey

gerard and eliza got engaged on may 22, 2007 (the last show of the black parade tour) according to this reddit comment.

the "eliza post" went up on june 4, 2007. here is the post in its entirety:

"Hi I felt I had to write to you guys to allay some of your fears regarding the rumours and speculation surrounding Gerard and Eliza and the future of the band. This is the only time I will ever post. I will not be able to respond to your comments or enter into discussion or debate on what I'm about to say. We are aware that this is one of the most popular message boards for MCR fans and we know you guys are the most dedicated and loyal fans in the world. It saddens me to see such division amongst the fans over one woman. If it's any consolation, you guys are not the only ones affected. She is merely tolerated by both band and crew. Believe me, nothing anyone can say will change his mind. She's been the cause of numerous conflicts and while we dont have to like it, we have to accept it, at least for the forseeable future. From day one this woman has had a hidden agenda - her manipulation knows no bounds. Some of you may find this difficult to believe but I assure you I have personally witnessed the two sides of this woman. Her so-called 'good deeds' are nothing more than PR exercises for his benefit. MCR have never endorsed any type of clique as it encourages and promotes the kind of high school mentality that MCR have always fought against. Your continued support is appreciated and rest assured this woman will have no adverse affect on the band and the music. For obvious reasons I am remaining anonymous. Eliza, we know you trawl these message boards and you probably know who I am - but I'd like to see you try and prove it!!!"

it's clear that whoever wrote this had a very strong distaste for eliza and was deeply troubled by the idea of gerard marrying her. based on the language used and style of writing, i strongly believe frank wrote this post. i'll be circling back to this in a minute, because i have a little more to go over.

for more evidence that SS is frank, we can reference this reddit comment made just 9 months ago by someone heavily involved in the blogspot community at the time, kapunua. their username on this post is "ReallyKapu."

if you read through the comment links I provided earlier, you may see their name pop up. they are also mentioned by name on the "iamthemodernprometheus" blog. if you also search "kapunua mcr" on google, you can verify their involvement in the blogspot community at the time.

kapunua is also mentioned in its-mayonaise's post here (no screenshot provided for this one, its just a small mention)

there's also a screenshot of a different comment kapunua made about 9 years ago with similar information. i found the screenshot here.

evidence that "mayo" is gerard

as mentioned in the post above, mayo often used british english syntax in his posts. he also posted about some pretty juicy stuff including a blowjob poem (you can seek that out yourself)

using british english isn't out of the ordinary for gerard. he often used an accent on stage during this time. moreover, he is a writer who has written multiple characters with this type of accent, showing he has a certain appeciation for it. i think his persona for the "mayo" account could been a sort of character he put on to disguise his idenity.

if you decide to view mayo's blog, you'll see each post has nothing but comments from mcr fans exclusively. i find it very interesting that the writer of its-mayonaise never bothered to make a post saying "hey, btw, i'm not gerard" in the 4 years this blog was run for

we have somewhat less definitive evidence that gerard is mayo. however, it is clear that at the very least, they had to have been someone involved with MCR or their crew at the time.

mayo makes a post alluding to their identity here, which you can find in the first screenshot below. this section sounds a lot like something gerard would write:

"I have been asked to reveal myself to you. You all know me. I am whoever you want me to be, I am an artist, a poet, a singer, a motherfucker, and a contradiction, a mouthpiece, a friend, and an enemy, a brother, an informant, a whipping boy, a basket case, a queen, and a criminal...(credit to John Hughes.)"

there are THOUSANDS of comments, many of which speculate the identity of mayo on each of his blogspot posts. you should definitely do your own detective work and see what you think, because there is far too much info to go through here.

a frerard theory

as i previously mentioned, frank had deleted his original blog for shitsubou-shita in late september. however, prior to this, he made and then deleted some particularly turbulent and questionable posts

for context, the frerard fight happened on august 22, 2007, and gerard and lindsey got married on september 3, 2007 (just four months after gerard was engaged to eliza)

gerard and lindsey are married on the last night of the projekt revolution tour.

mcr takes a break for one month after this, where we can probably safely assume that freshly-married gerard and frank did not plan on seeing one another.

i think this was very troubling for frank for many different reasons. gerard had just freed himself of the eliza situation and here he was making the same mistake again. he was on the verge of losing his dearest friend yet again, and i believe that despite his best efforts, he could not get through to gerard.

obviously, gerard and lindsey are still married to this day. however, many fans might be aware of what happened between her and mikey. there's also a lot of other questionable information about lindsey circling the web, but that's a different story for another time.

weeks later, similarly to the eliza situation, shitsubou-shita makes and deletes the following posts on his original blog (this was prior to the creation of iamthemodernprometheus):

Friday, September 21, 2007 Abandon hope, all who enter here... What the fuck happened? Why didn't I see this coming? I made a point to keep out of it this time, but at what cost? I'm trapped between a rock and a hard place, it's a lose/lose situation. I've always been honest with you, shouldn't that work both ways? What's with the double standards? People are starting to notice. I'm not talking about kids, I'm talking about people in their mid 20's and 30's. People with life experience who can see the cracks starting to show. What am I supposed to say? I just dont have the answers. How can I reassure them when I need reassurance myself?

he says "i made a point to keep out of it this time" which seems like a reference to the situation with eliza i mentioned previously. he alludes to the idea that fans are beginning to notice the band's dynamic is not the same anymore. this was specifically around the time when "frerard" moments came to a pretty abrupt end.

he says "i've always been honest with you, shouldn't that work both ways?" which can be interpreted in a few different ways. he may feel deceived due to his best friend's sudden marriage. however, the intensity of the language used in this post shows he probably had some very intense feelings toward the situation.

it seems like the writer was having a considerably difficult time coping with these feelings. a day later, this post is made:

Saturday, September 22, 2007 Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Bullshit. I've always been a smart ass, even as a child, although my mom would prefer to use the term precocious. I've always had trouble keeping my mouth shut, I'm an open book, completely ingenuous - secrecy and circumvention are not my style. But then I've never experienced extreme paranoia. So I'm writing this blog. I know you will never read it, I wouldn't want you to. Not everything is about you. This blog is for ME, a perverse catharsis, I need this right now to preserve the small amount of sanity I have left. A blog fuelled by disappointment, frustration, confusion and dejection. it seems like whatever the writer is feeling toward the subject of this post goes beyond the boundaries of a typical friendship. the final paragraph says everything we need to know.

we can assume that based on this post's mention of meeting a diner, that frank and gerard likely met up during their month-long break to talk about the way things went down

lastly, i know there's at least one interview floating or blog post around where frank says he was a difficult teen and a pain in the ass as a kid, but i can't find it right now. if anyone has the link to that i would love to add it here, because i remember it sounding pretty similar to that first paragraph.

this last post, for me, solidifies the identities behind each blog. it is so clear through the details in this post. to me, it seems like frank was hurting so bad, and in such a vulnerable place, that he completely let his guard down and made this post.

the mcr lyric included "You wanna see how far down I can sink?" is undoubtedly mind-boggling and speaks volumes to how carelessly obvious frank was (maybe intentionally?) willing to be

there's so much to unpack in this post and i honestly can't even begin to wrap my head around it. i would love to hear anyone's opinion!

later in the post, it seems clear that he is referencing the iam-mayonaise blog and gerard's seemingly wreckless posting. but mostly, i think he was lashing out due to pain of betrayal after losing the closest person to him and someone he deeply loves not once, but twice.

again, it's hard to believe how obvious he was being here, but i really think it was a result of the pain/suffering he felt

if you scroll back up to the first screenshot of this post, you can circle back around to when he removed his entire profile after making this final post, eventually rebranding to "iamthemodernprometheus"

the its-mayonaise account makes this post on september 30, seemingly as a response. the title could apply to frank, who as we all know, was gerard's best friend and right-hand man. the rest of this post can be interpreted in many different ways, so you can make whatever you want out of it:

however, the last paragraph does give me pause... i would love to see/create a full analysis of this post, but i'm trying to stick to facts here so you can form your own judgement

after gerard's wedding and mcr's month long break, they play two shows in mexico (oct 4 & 7, 2007) and then the hoboken show takes place, where frank yells "lie to me" during i'm not okay and seems very low energy and unlike himself

i believe things gradually improved between them after this point, but i'm not sure if their connection was ever completely the same.

conclusion/my opinion

coupled with all of the other available evidence about gerard/frank's tumultuous friendship/relationship/situationship, i think this information strongly alludes to the idea that at the very least, frank had some very intense feelings for gerard that were not fully reciprocated. i would love to hear what anyone else's opinion is on this topic, because it definitely isn't discussed often

i think it's completely heartbreaking (especially with everything else we know) but i do think their incredible connection is a massive contributing factor to mcr's legacy

Note added for context: A "confessions" account has been posting anon hate mostly toward writers in the pedro pascal fandom. A parasocial hater of mine discovered it and has been going to town. I posted this after a revolting analogy they used (screenshot at bottom of post).

Obviously I am disgusted that anyone would post such a deranged analogy just to stir up fandom drama. FYI many of these are from the same individual who has been fixated on me for a while and i know others have their stalkers too. We block them but when a "confessions" acct is active, they have a platform. I'm sorry to everyone who has been attacked.

I normally don't address things like this, but that's only because I'm trying to keep it off your dash and off my blog for reasons including not wanting to give the hater a larger audience for their message. Normally I block/delete. But thanks to a blog dedicated to posting anon hate, some of this is already on the dash, and additional context could be illuminating.

a couple weeks ago, this person chimed in on my non-fandom post, and their comment made me uncomfortable. Their blog tagline was antagonistic. They weren't being earnest. I checked to see if they followed me, and they didn't. I wrongly assumed they followed me from a main account since they were commenting on an un-tagged, un-reblogged post. I replied, taking issue with their comment and asking them to keep their thoughts to themselves rather than coming at me from a sideblog. But I now realize they were simply hate checking my blog.

These first ones are from their burner after I blocked the account that started it:

They were saying this last bit preemptively - I've never talked about stalkers here until this post you're reading rn. I didn't include all their anons in this post, just enough to show they clearly out themselves as being the same person.

Sometimes they will act like they're laughing and pretend to be multiple people. They also sent asks targeting att*********h and made comments off-anon before she deactivated this wk. In other asks they use large font to praise a former writer (jr****t) and insult everyone else - they sent one of these off-anon and reblogged another.

This post i'm making may only make it worse idk. I want to trust people not to automatically believe and repeat accusations, but my experience leaves me pessimistic.

I won't be dropping this creep's url in this post: This week they have repeatedly changed their url anyway, along with their display name and blog appearance. I had never heard of them.

Now the ask that prompted this post, idk if it's the same person or not but they def sent multiple asks

Note the "our" 🙄 typical hate stalker tactic pretending to be more than 1 person. I used to get "we are laughing" asks after like every post I made.

I haven't included nearly all the hate in this post, only the last one which crossed the line pushing me to make this post and all the others to illustrate how one person can go so wild. In other posts, I was sexualized without my consent (TOS violation) and it was really gross. And then miscellaneous hate.

Update - the anon-hate account referred to above, pedgeconfessions, has deactivated after violating multiple TOS including doxxing (not of me) which can put people in real world danger. It wasn't the first such acct this summer and may not be the last.

ah, sass, thank you! i love talking about writing :) this is going below the cut because it got long.

2. talk about a notable time a narrative or character has looked you dead in the eyes and said “fuck your plan, here’s what we’re actually doing.”

hm...................i was going to say that i don't usually have this problem and usually just run into the issue of my own mind refusing to write something that doesn't take into account the societal and cultural context i'm writing the characters in, but then i remembered the time i was writing god knows i can never get rid of habits and i was about halfway through, sleep deprived as fuck, and texted my friend in an exasperated, defeated tone, quote, "the show has repeatedly made me say “ugh fuck there’s a blowjob in my future isn’t there” which sounds wild out of context but the context is i think i can’t avoid writing them fucking in this fic". sometimes i cannot control the characters sometimes they really just want to have sex and i have to deal with this.

8. what’s your relationship with constructive criticism and feedback like? do you seek it out? how well do you take it?

if you try and give me "concrit" on my fanfic then i rip you to shreds in dms with my friends. i write to excise the spirit of creativity from where it's possessing my physical form, not to have people try and tell me how to "better" my writing. i'm aware my writing tends to have a lot of things people don't usually enjoy (heavily descriptive, emotion-focused, present tense, a more realistic approach to tropes or themes, etc) and i, frankly, don't care. my writing is for me; everyone else is just getting to enjoy it because i'm egotistical enough to post it. (that said, for my original writing i welcome concrit, because i actually have the intent of having them published. i just haven't managed to get around to finishing many original projects, historically.)

10. at what point in the process do you come up with titles, and how easy or hard is that for you?

i do not come up with titles until the moment i have to post to ao3. i hate coming up with titles and am very grateful when i figure out a lyric from a song or a line from a poem fits it. well..........usually, anyway. all my sunrise fics have had pre-planned titles—but, then again, sunrise is very much an outlier, so.

20. what is your favorite trope to write?

i don't think i've really had a defined trope across my writing the last few years? i guess if i had to choose one, probably the 5+1 format or derivations of it.

27. do you share rough drafts or do you wait until it’s all polished? 28. And who do you share them with?

for people to read my rough drafts i would have to have rough drafts. i genuinely don't give a fuck about "perfecting" a piece, whatever gets written the first time is what gets posted. could my writing be "better"? probably! do i care? no. i wouldn't say my writing is the best ever, but i personally like it and that's what matters. that said, i do send screenshots of sections i really like to my friends as i write, because i like making them yell at me.

37. when creating characters, what comes first: appearance, backstory, motivation, personality, something else?

this i guess only really applies to ocs; in that case, i usually come up with a character archetype, an archetype i'm trying to subvert, or an overarching narrative from which i can extrapolate characters. after that, i come up with names based on that, and then appearances are what i come up with last, usually.

45. name three of your favorite fanfic writers.

only three???? no. absolutely not. @lungache @butchybats @lucientelrunya @owengrose @lunarriviera @lunanoc and probably more whose urls i am forgetting.

52. how many unfinished ideas/stories are you working on at the same time?

uhhhhh okay so. i have. a megop fic (transfomers aligned continuity, pre canon), another megop fic (also aligned continuity), a dc fic, and a gotham fic. the transformers fics would probably be most likely to be completed because i actually have detailed notes for them, the dc fic is dead in the water, and the gotham fic i would have to rewatch the show and i don't need to hurt myself like that again.

yeah i need to know at least the basic narrative beats before i start writing. often this means me rambling at my friends in our dms to work out my ideas and the approach i want to take, but i can't start something without knowing how it ends because otherwise it'll never be finished.

Hello! I'm sorry I'm getting back to you so late, but I kept thinking about this and then life took over and I didn't know how to think about this. But I think have something for you now.

First off, thank you for calling it a community. I do like to think I've built a space for myself, and I'm always so touched by how everyone has responded to it. I also particularly like that whatever I do is primarily built on a Tumblr space, which has let me curate my internet experience in ways no other social media has.

I think ages ago I spoke in another context about how studyblr as a community makes me unreasonably happy because it's just a bunch of nerds who enjoy studying and academia, and that's really it. I probably would've ended up in academia either way, but it's so, so comforting to know there's a network of people also interested in academia, and especially history. I've made friends with people through here and through the instagram, and that's always been so great.

And then since about a year, this has stopped being a study blog and is a much more freewheeling space for whatever it is I'm doing or reading, and that has also been a lovely transition to live through. (More so, with the URL change). This has also been time when I've been working out ways to decide what life is, and this has been a nice drawing board of sorts.

On burnouts, yes, absolutely. Or maybe less burnouts but just needing some space. And I think that's okay, the tumblr, the instagram, all of it, they exist insofar as I want them to — and if on some days I don't, then I don't.

About starting a substack, just start. I went back and forth on mine for nearly a year before I actually started, and it took off only after I did start. I understand that it's scary, but nothing of what you do with it is set in stone: you can always switch things up. But you'll never know what you want it to be until you've begun :)

i'll answer your second question first! i do like writing poetry but it almost never occurs to me. i'm a long-form beast, I love the novel, so poetry is not really my native form, if that makes sense. So I really only wrote poems last fall for my poetry writing class, and now I mostly only work on a piece if the seeds of 1 good line have been bouncing around my brain for a while.

some favorite poets.

gabrielle calvocoressi: "miss you. would like to take a walk with you". she has a few poems written in that above style, almost like a series, and they all get me in my heart by the end. she also wrote "hammond b3 organ cistern" and I think it's extraordinary how one poet can write such different emotional depths so well.

chen chen! does this sweet modern witty wordplay laid over emotional truths. my url + ao3 name, "as fearless as a mango," is actually a line from one of his poems! while i don't like the rest of that poem so much, I recommend "I'm not a religious person but" and "If I should die tomorrow, please note that I will miss the particular" .

"One Art" by Elizabeth Bishop. I didn't react to this poem at all the first time I read it in high school but one of my classmates came in and said it made her cry. The trick is to read the "--" as a breaking voice and to know that this is a villenelle, originally a French type of poem that has a very specific line repetition pattern throughout the stanzas and a traditional focus on sad / disturbing / horror, gothic, grief themes. "Mad Girl's Love Song" by Sylvia Plath is another villenelle. With that context in mind, also pay attention to the increasing severity of loss throughout each stanza, until the ultimate bigger than losing a continent loss happens.

It seems some people don't understand how this ask is a troll. Fatphobia Busters receives troll and hate asks often. If you don't understand how this ask is a troll ********(or worded severely badly to the point that it sounded no different than a troll)********, here is your explanation.

The main part of the ask that is a red flag is this part:

...and she said "I don't support Eugenics, I just want people to have healthier bodies and improved lifestyles!!!" That is LITERALLY the definition of eugenics.

That is not the definition of eugenics, so the asker is trying to make fat liberation sound silly by pretending that is our argument.

After reading that, phrasing such as "My militant, bootlicking sister" becomes sarcastic and used again as a way to mock fat liberation.

The third strike is this line:

How can I convince her that she did a school project on why she hates fat people?

This is a major jump in logic from what the asker has shown of their sister's supposed "project." The asker is intentionally trying to make the reader think it's silly to believe the sister is fatphobic since it already sounds silly to say that "improved lifestyles" is eugenics. It then sounds extra silly to say that's a form of hatred. The asker is purposefully trying to mangle and manipulate the common points that fat liberationists talk about by eliminating all context and using specific phrasing to take away credibility from the movement and fat positive views.

I mentioned the asker's opposition to transphobic trolls to show that it's hypocritical to support trolls against one oppressed group but not support trolls against another oppressed group. About half of the bigots and trolls I have dealt with over my past five years of fat activism online have been "progressive" people, usually fellow oppressed people who believe fat people aren't oppressed so "How dare you say fat people are oppressed when I have it worse than them?! They actually deserve to be mistreated because they can choose to not be fat, and fatphobia doesn't exist in the first place!" I hear fatphobes say that garbage every week. So with the experience I have running and modding for fat positive blogs, I know how common it is for "progressive" people to pull this type of ask.

I'm also a trans person (Hi!), so people in the replies trying to make discourse out of nothing by saying how dare I "compare" fatphobia to transphobia, please reread my original reply. No where did I say one group has it "worse" than the other. I am also allowed to talk about my own forms of oppression. Thanks. /s

Since people are somehow making this another "piss on the poor" zero reading comprehension game, here is the asker's post about transphobic trolls I was referring to. And here is the asker's MLP post that inspired my original tags because even that is somehow the subject of discourse now. The asker's URL is also the name of an MLP character. I wrote this answer last night when the asker's transphobic troll post was the first post on the asker's blog.

I not only doublechecked the original post with a fellow mod before posting it, but I also asked said mod about the replies on the post today. That mod agrees with my understanding of the asker's intentions as well as my original post because the mods of this blog have enough experience with fatphobic troll asks that we could even list that on our resumes. Please stop trying to start discourse just for the sake of discourse. I know Tumblr is the Discourse Website where people love to form angry mobs over misunderstandings, but this is ridiculous.

With five years of experience being harassed by fatphobic "progressive" trolls on this blog, this is how I read the asker's message. I can't believe I had to write an essay to explain why a fatphobic troll is a troll.

The very first post I saw on your blog is in support of a trans person who was harassed by trolls, and yet here you are sending troll messages to another oppressed group.

Despite your troll message being both fatphobic and ableist, despite fatphobia having an immense amount of intersectionality with transphobia (you know, the group you supposedly care about), you'd rather spend your miserable life doing exactly what transphobic trolls do to trans people. It's just okay when you do it because your definition of "equality" comes with asterisks.

Get a life that actually has any sort of value or meaning. Because being a pathetic, bigoted hypocrite ain't it.

Mike Is Not The TV

Spamton seems to say here that the TV gameshow host character he alluded to throughout chapter 2 - which many people, including myself, pretty reasonably assumed to be Mike up until now - was the one responsible for his life going downhill, and thinks that he was the one who deserved to wind up homeless instead of himself. Spamton then says that everyone who didn't buy his products will pay... except for Mike. This implies that the TV and Mike are separate people, whom Spamton has two different opinions of.

This page's URL supports this idea, reading "damn you tenna". I believe this is most likely the actual name of the TV gameshow host character. It could be short for Antenna, which would fit the TV theming. People have assumed that Tenna is actually Mike's last name - which definitely could make sense in this context, if you interpret this as Spamton doing that thing where you invoke someone's last name for dramatic effect/to emphasize a point - however considering the rest of the current evidence, this seems unlikely to me. Spamton seemed to be comfortably on a first-name basis with him previous to this.

This answer from his Twitter Q&A makes a lot of sense when viewed from this angle as well. Spamton gets very angry and defensive, and refuses to give any information about Mike to someone he assumes to be "ONE OF THAT [Cathode]'S CREW" - that is to say, someone working for the TV. This response wouldn't make as much sense if Mike and Tenna were the same person. ...but, if Mike isn't the TV, then who is he? Looking back at previous mentions of Mike within this context, we can infer a few things.

The very first time Spamton ever mentioned Mike, it was amongst his other former friends - Notably, Mike is mentioned separately from both the "Easels" and "CRTs" - who are most likely Swatch and Tenna respectively - and is the only one called directly by name, which is another point that makes me think they were particularly close. Also, it's Tenna who he's calling a liar and a criminal here, so Spamton's strong emotional reaction to remembering his and Mike's relationship is probably not out of anger at him.

When the NEO body is about to explode and Spamton is desperately trying to... do whatever it was he was trying to do, he asks if Mike is "GETTING ALL THIS", which is the kind of thing you ask someone who's recording. Mike might not be the TV itself, but this does imply that Mike is related to recording devices. So, why were Mike and Spamton such close friends, why isn't he around anymore, and why is Tenna a lying criminal? I wanna hear everyone else's ideas, but here's my best guess: Mike was a radio host, probably a microphone. He and Tenna didn't get along. Tenna valued his TV studio's profits the most, but Mike? Mike cared about the freedom. Mike loved radio, because anybody's free to broadcast whatever they want to if they know how! So when Spamton finally made it big and got invited onto Mike's show, they really hit it off, and became fast friends. Maybe Mike kept doing things for Spamton for free, kept having him on? Spamton's appearances made Mike's show become so popular that people stopped watching Tenna's, until eventually, his studio was about to go under. Obviously, Tenna wasn't about to just let the Lightners stop paying attention to him. So Tenna decides to give his shadowmen the order, and... Video killed the radio star.

Spamton's free advertising was gone, his home was gone, the only one who really understood him was gone. So that's why Spamton decided he'd make Tenna pay. Make everyone pay. Everyone... Everyone except... Mike. Because Mike can't pay. Mike already paid.

Apparently the Jon stan who was blaming Sansa and Bran for stealing his crown, now blaming Robert and Ned for stealing his crown. Because according to them Ned didn't make efforts to crown actual heir to the IT and had no problem with making his daughter Queen. That stan even once mocked Jonsa saying that it can be possible for Sansa to fall in love with Jon but Jon can't do incest. I don't know if that person is even Sansa stan.

I’ll answer this because the blogger has put these comments on my posts, but I’ll just express my hope that no Sansa fans/Jonsas harass anyone for disagreeing. Yes, I had a long back and forth with them about Ned wronging Jon by denying him a crown on a different post some time ago. I disagree because I think the brutal deaths of Aegon and Rhaenys and how Ned is haunted by it is supposed to be the explanation for why Ned believes the only way to protect Jon is to keep his identity a secret.

Ned did not feign surprise; Robert's hatred of the Targaryens was a madness in him. He remembered the angry words they had exchanged when Tywin Lannister had presented Robert with the corpses of Rhaegar's wife and children as a token of fealty. Ned had named that murder; Robert called it war. When he had protested that the young prince and princess were no more than babes, his new-made king had replied, "I see no babes. Only dragonspawn." Not even Jon Arryn had been able to calm that storm. Eddard Stark had ridden out that very day in a cold rage, to fight the last battles of the war alone in the south. It had taken another death to reconcile them; Lyanna's death, and the grief they had shared over her passing. (AGOT, Eddard II)

This is the context in which Ned was living when he claimed Jon as his bastard. And here in AGOT, a decade and a half later, we’re told Robert hates Rhaegar just as much and it isn’t until he’s on his deathbed that he changes his stance on killing Targaryen children. I believe the author wanted us to view Ned’s decision to lie to his friend/king and cause strife in his own marriage and risk all of their lives by committing treason as not only entirely rational and justified, but a sacrifice he made out of love. I also don’t think it’s reasonable to expect Ned to turn around and ask the people who fought to overthrow Aerys to pick up their swords and fight to put that man’s grandson on the throne. It wasn’t only Brandon and Rickard who Aerys murdered. Furthermore, the author doesn’t support wars for the sake of a crown so it wouldn’t have been presented as right if he had.

Personally, I believe that Ned’s decision to raise Jon as his son is being upheld as good by the author each time he highlights Jon’s devotion to the Starks which is something I believe will culminate in him protecting them/the realm from Dany (I’m team stabbity stab), so the end of the series will justify Ned’s pre canon decision. We all have our own interpretations, but I don’t think the author intended us to find fault with Ned here.

We also had an exchange about how Sansa can fall in love with Jon, but Jon would never love Sansa, and first, it will never cease to amuse me when fans say sweet little Sansa is more likely to commit incest than a Targaryen. I often say we’re all reading different books, but Targcest is such a big deal, it’s hard for me to believe anyone’s version can completely delete that propensity! I’ll reiterate a sentiment I’ve expressed before, no one is obligated to believe Jonsa will happen. I really don’t care that people don’t buy it, many of the Jonsa fic writers I like don’t think it is a book thing. That’s not an issue for me.

But if I were looking at the books and trying to find proof that one of them will have someone fall in love with them as part of their story,  my attention would be drawn to lines like this:

It is not me she wants her son to marry, it is my claim. No one will ever marry me for love.

Stories progress, there’s evolution and new circumstances to change the characters as they respond to it. When we first meet her, Sansa believed in her stories, she didn’t know about all the horrible people and dangers in her world, she doesn’t understand how her world works, and she reaches a lowpoint where she finally understands that she was fed a story to make her inescapable fate palatable. She realizes she is a means to an end, and she has given up on more. But, this is only halfway through the story. How can you believe that that is where Martin intends to leave her? She’s disillusioned, she has given up on love, how do you shake up her worldview again and progress her into new territory, rather than retread the same ground?

The issue isn’t that Sansa can’t love, she’s had crushes and been infatuated, basically talked herself into loving Willas without even meeting him. No. We are waiting for her to be loved. The blogger you’re talking about isn’t a Sansa fan but a lot of them don’t like Jonsa for various reasons. To each their own. Even so, I read Sansa’s line and think, someone will fall in love with Sansa. This girl is going to have a romance. And I don’t think it will be a rando, it has to be someone whose head we’re in so we know how sincere their love for Sansa is. I think it will be Jon.
