Another desperate strike at the art block and a tribute of sorts: super rusty linocut to reinitiate me into the world of printmaking. It’s not as attuned to my working style as intaglio was, but this is fun, tactile, and enough of a departure from my way of thinking that is super welcome.

It’s nothing special and definitely technically lacking (over-inked block and such) but it’s something, which is a big deal lately. Also it’s my favorite species of fish and we all know Kuhli loaches deserve all the tributes we can give.

I even went to search which these could be, and their meaning. Apparently, white flowers symbolize purity and innocence — and whatever flowers these may be ( google had given me carnations and camellias—If anybody actually knows what flowers their brooches are, do say!! ). I also, believe that white carnations usually(?) partake within a wedding? Because they too symbolize "pure love" and from what I had quickly found, "devotion". I’m assuming tales of the empire will also have time skips between episodes like its jedi counterpart did, so my guess is that the barriss inquisitor stuff will be the first and/or second episode, and eventually we’ll see her leave/escape the inquisitorius. And her episodes will be about her struggling with her anger and overcoming it. I really don’t think it fits with her character to be actually on-board with the empire considering that the reason she bombed the temple was because she saw what the republic was turning into.

Arthur’s grin was both mischievous and endearing. "Not exactly," he murmured, his eyes glinting with a hint of devilry. "You wore something very different."

Intrigued, she leaned closer, her voice a soft tease. "Oh? And what might that have been?"

"Me," he growled softly, his voice low and seductive, drawing a delighted shiver from Kate as they continued to waltz under the starlit sky.

Arthur's voice was a seductive murmur, laced with raw desire, as he leaned in close, his breath warm against Kate's ear. "Do you want to know what I'm thinking about right now?" he whispered, his hands tightening on her waist as he drew her closer into his embrace.

Kate's heart pounded in her chest, her skin tingling with anticipation. She nodded, her voice a mere whisper, "Yes."

Arthur's fingers traced a line up her spine, sending shivers cascading down her body. He dipped his head, his lips grazing the sensitive skin of her neck, inhaling deeply. "I'm thinking about how stunning you're going to look laid out beneath me," he breathed out, his words painting a vivid, enticing picture. Here's one of those Procreate videos from my last artwork. I pasted in the sketch plus some ink work from another file when I realised the resolution was a bit too small. I ended up redrawing Arthur's hand/eye and adding the flowers in a different file too. But I guess it can help if you're thinking of attempting the RDR art style!

I used a combination of the standard syrup brush in Procreate and a paid acrylic paint brush from some True Grit set. All done on a really old standard iPad 😂
