Tennis star, Naomi Osaka is a real one for this epic moment. Naomi, who is Haitian & Japanese, calls for Reparations for Haiti from France. If Naomi wasn't already one of my favorite tennis players and one of my favorite people, she'd sure be my favorite now! 👍🏽✊🏽🙏🏽🖤 This is not an act of "Wokeism" THIS is pure pride!

Long-term Reparations for a Black Family
The below write-up is from a previous post I made for Courtney but I copy and pasted it as I'm fatigued and it's still relevant.
For those of you who know my blog, you know my friend Courtney needs support. The reality is it is unlikely that that will change soon given that she is a disabled single mom providing for 3 kids with a low-wage job. I love her dearly and she genuinely struggles every day. I want to make the world better for her. I talk often about the power of community care. Courtney needs this consistently. If you are a non-Black person who is financially secure, please consider giving her reparations every month or biweekly. I will put her paylinks below. To work towards and as an accomplice of Black liberation, you need to be committed.
This part is not copy pasted but new.
Currently, her family is struggling with food, getting their water on, and saving for next month's rent. They don't have water at the moment and her son has no clean underwear left. They really need the water back on. The sooner the better. They need 136 more to get the water. If you see this, please send a dollar if possible, or even 50 cents. Small donations add up. Give reparations consistently and commit, but if you can't do it consistently still help out when you can.

You know, the children scream when those planes drop aid. It crushes people. Then people rush to the aid, and some take it first and shoot at others' feet to keep them away.
Palestinians don't want more things dropped from planes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The man who posted the above, Ahmed Al-Mashaal, lost two children to the IOF, and he had to endure this. So much cruelty from the sky. It is a deeply degrading and violent way to extend a show of "help."
The U.S. acts like this kind of thing is our only way to help, as if we (yes the power elite, but also all U.S. citizens who pay taxes) aren't funding 70% of the genocide. Biden could end this today, Netanyahu could end this today, and the Israeli hostages, who are being cared for, would be sent back. But will the Palestinian hostages ever be sent back? We know what happens to the precious children Israel is holding hostage.

The text image is something my friend Moneer Raed @raedfamily wrote about those awful planes. He is 19 and helping take care of his 4-year-old sister, Sham. When I ask him how he and his family are, he always says they are fine and he just wants to make sure I'm okay. I've come to learn that he and his family are grateful to be alive, they are very positive, and they are in hell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I asked him today if he has to walk far to get water. He said yes and these days they have trouble finding flour or even finding out the (extremely exorbitant) price. It is filled with mites and mold.
Humans are doing this, not nature. Certain humans. There is enough food and housing and love in the world for everyone and there are ways to distribute it.
If your taxes have ever funded the IOF, here is an opportunity to pay back some of the reparations you owe.
Donation-protected GoFundMe for Moneer and Sham
Same for Ahmed Al-Mashaal

If you want to do some reparations today I highly recommend contributing to the Indigenous Medicine Conservation Fund. They’re working to sustain key species in ecosystems and indigenous medicine (like peyote and toad) that are currently at risk due to increased interest as mainstream holistic medicine.

Continual Support for a Black Disabled Mom of 3
For those of you who know my blog, you know my friend Courtney needs support. To work towards and as an accomplice of Black liberation, you need to be committed.
I know many of us are not well off, so I wanted to recommend some more one of ways you can help short term if you cannot commit to helping her more. She has 3 kids to get Christmas gifts and food for. I had her put together an Amazon wishlist so that people can help her in a small but mesurable way. Her kids have been through so much alongside her. Please help them have a Christmas if you are able. Many years they haven't. One off financial donations are also appreciated.
If you are in Houston, Texas, and are able to drop some gifts and food off to them, please reach out to me so I can connect you. That would be super meaningful for them. If you can commit to dropping supplies off more than once, let me know.
If you can't help financially, please reblog. Share the wishlist beyond tumblr. Support however you are able. She needs and deserves support a million times over. Love you all.

Reparations & the Fight for True Independence
One of the most thought-provoking moments in my recent conversation with AJ was when we tackled the idea of reparations. More specifically, we questioned how reparations should be distributed and whether cash payments alone could ever truly repair the systemic damages inflicted on Black Americans.
I asked, "What would be the benefit of channeling the money through Black families to have a chance to live through the same institutions of white supremacy that got us here in the first place?" That question lingered in the air because it gets at the root of the problem—Black people in America have never been left alone to build freely, to develop generational wealth without systemic interference, to make our own choices on our own terms.
AJ reminded us that even when Black Americans had the chance to create financial independence, those opportunities were stripped away. He pointed to the Freedman’s Bank—an institution established to help formerly enslaved individuals build financial stability, only for that money to be taken from them when the government abandoned Reconstruction. We’ve seen this pattern over and over: when we establish self-sustaining economies and communities, they are dismantled, erased, or outright destroyed.
Reparations, at its core, isn’t just about financial compensation—it’s about repair. It’s about acknowledgment. It’s about ensuring that Black Americans are finally given the resources and the autonomy to build our communities without external forces dismantling them at every turn. But that repair has to come with full autonomy, not just a payout funneled back into systems that were designed to exclude us in the first place.
The historical injustices we’ve faced haven’t just been about deprivation—they’ve been about control. That’s why true reparations can’t simply be a check cut and sent out. It has to be tied to policies that empower Black communities to sustain themselves, whether through land grants, education initiatives, business development, or institutional reforms. Because if history has shown us anything, it’s that the moment Black Americans get too close to financial independence, the system finds a way to take it back. And that cycle has to end.
Reparations must mean more than money. It must mean sovereignty, protection, and a guarantee that what we build will never be taken from us again.

In light of Yet Another trans woman being falsely fucking accused of shit like pedophilia/zoophilia/whatever the fuck to try and justify harassment and mistreatment by badfaith individuals (take your pick of which one because the playbook fucking remains the same) I'm currently trying to save up money to move out to a new cheaper place to live with a better job market. I'm a queer indigenous fag who wants groceries and shit along with aforementioned saving up, my Paypal info can be found here and my Venmo is @ItsTheInnkeeper.

An Oklahoma judge has dismissed the reparations lawsuit filed by the last three known survivors of the Tulsa race massacre on Friday, court records show.
The three had sued the City of Tulsa, other groups, and officials over the opportunities taken from them when the city’s Greenwood neighborhood was burned to the ground in 1921.
Lessie Benningfield Randle, 108, Viola Fletcher, 109, and her brother, Hughes Van Ellis, 102, were among the plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs maintaned that the damage inflicted during the massacre was a “public nuisance” from the start and were seeking relief from that nuisance as well as to “recover for unjust enrichment” others have gained from the “exploitation of the massacre.
The family attorneys are expected to address the possibility of an appeal.
