im inflicting this stupid idea. suffer
Vaggie unknowingly taking her 7,777th life with her spear, from a mix of demon and angel victims, and suddenly the spear she was holding is gone and there's an infant CHILD in her hands-
tiny gray demon tail wrapping around her wrist, little steel grey horns poking out of white hair, soft fluffy grey wings fluttering on it's back
Vaggie, holding the child at arm's length: "Uh. Charlie...?"
Charlie: "Busy fighting, be right there!"
Vaggie: "Charlie. Baby."
Charlie: "Yeah??"
Charlie: "No. Not 'Charlie babe'- Charlie. BABY."
Charlie: "I mean I kinda like 'babe' better, not gonna lie, but-"
Charlie: "...."
Charlie: "Vaggie. Baby."
Vaggie: "Baby."
Charlie: "Where-"
Vaggie: "Spear."
Charlie: "SPEAR?!"
Vaggie: "h e l p." (baby coos and makes grabby claws at her) "C h a r l i e, h e l p !"
Charlie: "Shit, fuck- support their head! Support their head!!"
Vaggie: "H- ow???"
Charlie: "Like- it's like when you're cleaning your spear!"
Vaggie: (cradling baby) "It's got hold of my HAIR-"
Charlie: "-ohhhh my fffff-"
Vaggie: "Don't SWEAR in front of it!!!"
Charlie: "-fffather that's an actual baby. That's uhhh. That's a... We need to- BATTLE CANCELED! BATTLE CANCELED WE'VE GOT A BABY ON THE FIELD!!!"
Lute: "a WHAT!?"
Lucifer: "OH SPECTACULAR! Congratulations!!!"
Lucifer: "....wait."

Sorry if this is too unrelated or something, but do you have any tips for comic composition? I absolutely adore how you frame everything, from the backgrounds, to the bubble placement, to the way the colors seem to fit together in each panel, and I've always been curious about how you do it
if this is too vague/overcomplicated I understand, I love your work and hope you're doing well <3
Hm... well. Honestly, most of my composition comes from transcribing the animation of residuum that's happening in my head. Which is why, if any of y'all've noticed, residuum is framed a bit like a movie. So if you're looking to do something similar, I'd recommend either studying camera techniques, or watching movie analysis with a focus on camera work. I'm unfortunately a bad person to ask, as a lot of what I do just comes via practice that's turned to instinct.
This is a really good resource on page compositions in general, though I mostly do panel by panel stuff for my own ease:
The background style is actually directly inspired from @meandtheyeehaws, it's fast, easy, and doesn't require too much thought on my part. You spend a lot of time on comics, so you take shortcuts where you're willing to.
Bubble placement... I've noticed that people tend to laser focus on dialogue. So, the dialogue bubbles are how you lead the reader's eyes. They are the very base of the reader's eye path. All this means is that you should just map the eye path you want and then frame everything else around that. Either to bring notice to stuff or to hide something in plain sight.
Honestly, I have no idea for the color thing. It's one of the things I actually wish the comic was better with. All I do is have set color swatches for characters, and do a transparent color mask to the background color. I love to color, but color itself isn't really my strong suit.

To this day, we still haven't figured out genshin's biggest mystery...
How did Collei go from Sumeru to Mondstadt, crossing a good chunk of Liyue, WITHOUT getting adopted by Cloud Retainer?!?!?!??

there’s absolutely no way that sal fisher, a guy who survived a GUNSHOT WOUND TO THE FACE, doesn’t have a speech impediment and a very noticeable facial difference
and i think so many in the fandom do not portray that

I love it when people assume I’m a kid when I’m in a school building and ask what teacher I have, what grade I’m in, or if I’m lost so I can see the sheer astonishment on their face when I reply in a very adult, very verbal voice, “actually I work here.”

Luke raising Jonathan au is so galaxy brained omg. you're so right Luke would be the ideal person to raise him because he would do his best to fight his own biases and avoid treat him like a lost cause or broken. also the fact they both got turned into monsters by Valentine... the potential is crazy (now I can't stop thinking about this)
exactly!! and not only do we have their own similarities, as monsters and outcasts.. but also valentine's real son being raised by his own ex-parabatai being a mirror to his pseudo-son being raised by his psuedo-ex-parabatai? and then there's also some vague parallels with ash's storyline (even if we never get ash himself in this universe) with jonathan being under the protection and guardianship of his cruel father's brother figure. and idk something about valentine's kids being split up between his runaway wife and his scorned parabatai.. it just sits so nicely in my head.

that post is about how embarrassing it is to be a fnaf fan when the creator is such a bigot who uses the money generated by the franchise to fund racism and transphobia among other things. i.e. like JKR and harry potter. it's not about how you're quirky for liking fnaf instead of harry potter. very much the opposite.
It was definitely meant to be a dunk but I did forget my tone tags and that this is the reading comprehension site, sorry about that. Here you go!
/s
Hope this helped clear up any miscommunication!
