Tim uses Danny as a doppelganger prompt
Lucius Fox, CEO of Wayne Enterprises, broke his back during a failed assassination attempt. He'll be unable (not allowed) to perform his duties as CEO for a few months while his back heals, so Tim offers to take over as CEO in his stead. Lucius humors the guy and agrees, figuring his assistants will stop Tim from doing any major damage to the company.
A week in, Tim realizes he can't balance a full time job on top of his social life, nighttime hero work, online classes, and investigating the failed assassination attempt. He needs someone who can show up to the CEO's office and pretend to be him. Someone who can't be killed if whoever tried to kill Lucius decides to go after the new acting CEO.
Danny thinks this is a very dubious job offer, but he does look like Tim Drake, he cannot be killed by bullets, and this could lead to a job working in space.

A guy I interviewed at work today "crossed me off his list" when I told him about my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (we were talking about in-person vs. remote jobs and I mentioned I preferred remote due to my disability). I was incredibly confused for a few moments before he realized how rude and weird that sounded and half-shouted:
"Sorry!! I'm a biology and physiology major!!! You're an incredibly rare specimen and my friends will be jealous I talked with you!"
I almost snorted cause I certainly wasn't expecting that. And just to make his day told him, "Wanna know the best part? I did contortion with a travelling circus."
He legitimately squealed.
Sometimes working in HR is pretty fun.

been thinking abt this a lot lately and like growing up is SO scary but a lot of that fear comes from being so removed from older people. personally bc of my job this year i have gotten really close to 40+, even 60+ year olds and they’re so full of life and energy and joy and it’s like. they tell u all the time but being close to them u see it for yourself life doesn’t end at 30 like there is always so much to do and so much time to do it all like!! if anything i’m no longer scared to grow older but instead im excited to see where life will take me and hope im half as eager to live when reach certain ages!
#at least this was my experience!#also another thing i love abt other ppl is how shameless they are but in a good way#like they just don’t care anymore they are truly free and happy!!#my boss’ mom is like 70 and she meets w her friends almost everyday and goes to parties etc like ! there is just so much time#and my mom is 46 and she’s about to retire and it’s so exciting i’m genuinely like u have ur entire life ahead of u!!!!!!!!!!#my boss is 48 and god he’s such a character. so full of life and energy he shocks me sometimes omg#i just hope im half as good and joyful when i get to their ages tbh!#another 40 yr old friend i made recently still goes partying w her friends and does her sports etc like.#really age is just a number and i love to see that firsthand

Aaah. So it's neverending huh.
#my dad had been bugging me about getting a raise for months#it took me a while to actually find who to email to ask and how to go about it too.#but i did it! and i went from 19$ to 20.72$#and i was happy with that#and originally i wasnt going to tell my dad but he wasnt letting up about it and when i told him the numbers#he was dissappointed.he told me he spoke to people working from another company and they make 25#this was while i was stuck out on the supposed to be a hike but was actually hunting trip#now i just feel bad about it again. and i cant get my good feeling back goddamnit#i know its out of love/concern because hes very financially very successful and its tough seeing your kids work so hard and still be poor#but hey im now technically making 40 cents less than your daughter whos a doctor.#you graduated during a time where universities had skip days and they were less focused on proper essay formats#you also had living accommodations where apparently you could make your whole rent in a week of work#you also didnt need to pay for internet the way we do#you also had rrsp matching and Christmas bonuses and health insurance and company retirement funds#you had days off. you ask if i get a certain holiday off. like i havent worked full days christmas eve and boxing day the previous 5 years#also gas probably wasnt 80$/week just to go to and from work#and thats if you work and live in town#we had a phone call and he brought up my wage again this morning

It's so weird to think that the US is currently 5-8 hours behind me instead of the 12-15 hours that I'm used to
#for the next month anyway#I had to leave the room yesterday when we visited an aunt and uncle. the anger I felt at how easy the Boomers had it#people with houses with gardens that are almost right beside a beautiful river. who happily retired and stayed married for almost 40 years#so I just went to the guest bedroom..slumped on the bed and ugh. the mutism from how anxious I am about how the rest of my life's gonna go#I'm so conflicted coz. am I lucky to even be here visiting now? ofc. but the way my mind checks out when I don't feel a part of anything#we're watching the Wimbledon men's finals on the TV rn#I'm here because who knows when I'll get *it* again and miss out on seeing people ever again#it's bad enough that I've missed enough boats in life so obvs I still gotta catch the ones that are still within reach. from this low place#loz says stuff
