I cannot believe britt is still being asked if it was helly or helena at the end of season 2 when it makes zero sense for it to be helena like literally ZERO.

1. Why would the show undermine the main message of the innies finally taking control of their own life by having one of them be an outie?

2. Why would the show pull the same plot twist twice in the span of like 6 episodes?

3. there was no time to ‘switch’ without helena being confused af about where she is or whats going on so then it must’ve been her from the beginning which means helena got on that desk and started the innie revolution? And helena told mark about jame visiting the severed floor so it was helena the previous day with jame too…? And then After cold harbor was completed she still Helped mark with distracting milchick so he could free gemma..?

it seems to me like the main issue is that people think helly was ‘smiling’ at gemma (she was not) and that ‘helly was never cruel’ must be true at all times but like. First of all that sentence is not the Word Of God. Helly is a person and she also IS helena so she very much has the ability to be cruel. And i would argue and say that when irving said that it wasn’t even correct. I think hanging herself in the elevator specifically so helena would feel it is kinda cruel lol. Like it was valid sure but cruel nonetheless.

But even so helly was not even being cruel. She thought mark was about to die, wanting one last look at the guy she loves before he ceases to exist is not Cruel? She didn’t even ask him to stay she just stood there. And all this nonsense about her smiling at gemma like i’m begging you go rewatch the scene she is smiling at mark!! And then mark starts to walk away and its filmed in slow motion so she is simply still smiling at mark! As soon as she sees gemma the smile drops and then you get another angle and you see her face without the red lighting and she is not smiling At All.

People had weirdly unrealistic expectations of helly in the finale, saying she should’ve pushed mark out the door (basically killing her boyfriend lol) or that she should prioritize Gemma above herself for some reason and when she didn’t do that you got mad at her and helly = good, helena = bad so it must be helena i guess?

You made the unexpected turn into Trolls and i decided it looked interested and followed you! Still haven’t actually watched anything, just kinda immersed myself in the fandom.

the trolls world is just ripe for nonsensical world building, amvs (we callin them fancams now? i'm not sure), and lore mechanics... and then shockingly, trauma dives.

like! because of the kind of media it's in, there are some horrific and tragic implications that are only glanced at, simply left untethered. there's not enough time to cover 2 decades of trauma in an hour thirty minutes for little timmy. But I Have The Time. I will sit with those implications.

and then!!

they get to have their cake and eat it too because of that very same media.

of course they're going to be dancing and singing with the people who only seconds ago tried to eat them! that's just what you do!

of course they're going to tell the people torturing them to death that they deserve to be treated with kindness! everybody does!

the picture it paints for me is of these like. incredibly anxious little trolls, with a whole culture around an almost toxic kind of positivity with very big troubles, and even bigger hearts. and that's like. joey kryptonite. they almost got me back in the first film, but i was mostly satisfied with the character arcs. so i didn't feel the need to break out the fandom playdough.

and then the third one came in with a steel chair like 'hey what if branch was just one part of an entire tragic family. what if they ALL had decades of trauma because of a bad decision they made as teenagers, which permanently skewed the trajectory of their lives. what if they needed some space to define themselves outside of their Band Titles (and by proxy their role in the family) and were then punished for that decision by the narrative, denying them the chance to reunite again. what if a promise sat forcefully broken for just as long and yet the bond didn't disintegrate. what if the love was still there.'

Ya know what's interesting? In-ho being all about 'equality' in the Games. But he let Gi-hun rejoin them, knowing FULL WELL the man was going to have an advantage in 'Red Light, Green Light'.

In fact, Gi-hun lead the other players so well through that game, that In-ho was nervous/intrigued/impressed enough (or whatever you want to call it) to join the games himself just to see what Gi-hun had planned.

Meanwhile there's Gi-hun being a pookie and just winging it most of the time because the tracker was his plan. Jun-ho and the mercenaries were his backup. He's back to square one, but he's thrivin'. (If you dont' count the dead best friend :/)

He really is the best wifey In-ho could've picked.

as someone who used to be DEEP into kpop fandom and is now a steadfast fan of the nfl -this video literally EMBODIES me

For anyone unfamiliar: TWICE is a K-pop girl group, composed of nine members (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyeong, and Tzuyu). This particular song is 트와이스 송 (TWICE Song)

OBJ -> Nayeon (she's the oldest member, nayeon's also one of the more well-known members and has a wonderful solo career!)

Joe Burrow -> Jeongyeon (known for her short hair look, has battled mental health issues, i remember that she also had to get a surgery for a spinal disc herniation, kpop is brutal yall)

Ja'Marr Chase -> Momo (japanese, one of the BEST dancers in kpop imo, i love her sm)

Justin Jefferson -> Sana (also japanese, VERY charming and sweet, you may have seen her on an ad somewhere)

Malik Nabers -> Dahyun (her nickname is tofu it's so adorable, one of the rappers of the group)

Jayden Daniels -> Jihyo (leader of the group, her nickname is god jihyo which should tell you everything about this girl)
