All That She Wants Chapter 7: Now What?
Series: All That She Wants
Fandom: The Royal Romance
Pairings for this chapter: Liam x Olivia
Word Count: 1,297 Rating: MA
Warnings for this chapter: faintest whiff of lemons
My other stuff: Master List.
Tumblr media
Chapter is under the cut.
"Damn, that was good.” Olivia was still pinned against the shower wall, water cascading down her naked body as Liam pulsed inside her. Her nails raked across his shoulders. “But this isn’t what you summoned me to the palace for.”
“No, it isn’t. But it is a nice fringe benefit.” He smirked as he pulled out of her and lowered her to the ground.
Olivia made a noncommittal noise as she turned the water off and stepped out of the walk-in shower. She grabbed two towels from the warmer and tossed one at Liam before drying herself off. Wrapping herself in the plush robe hanging on the back of the door, she turned to face her lover expectantly. “Are you going to tell me, or do I have to guess?”
“I thought we could discuss things over dinner. It should be here soon.” He opened the door and exited the bathroom.
The bedroom in the suite that was always reserved for House Nevrakis contained a dresser stocked with men’s clothing in the king’s size. He began dressing, humming happily to himself.
Olivia followed him. “I would prefer if you just tell me whatever it is. Is it about the annual budget for Lythikos? Because—”
“No, no, nothing like that!” He assured her as he pulled on a pair of pants. Noting her serious expression, he huffed out, “Fine. I’ll tell you now.”
“Please do.”
“Riley has given me two days to decide to either give her a baby or a divorce. I have a day left to decide.”
“Okay…” Olivia said carefully. “What does that have to do with me? If you want to keep your wife, give her a baby. If you don’t, then what’s the problem?”
Liam gaped at her. How could she not see the obvious? “It has everything to do with you, with us! This is our chance to be together, Liv. For real this time! I’ll give her the divorce and then you and I can get married. No more hiding, no more pretending!”
Olivia’s face bore a mixture of horror, disbelief, and amusement. “Liam, you know all the reasons I said no to your proposal the first time.”
“But this is different, Liv! I know you never wanted children, but I’ve already had them! You won’t have to—”
She drew back as he stepped toward her. “You expect me to be a stepmother?”
“I have nannies, Liv. And they have a mother. Riley won’t stop being their mom.”
Olivia shook her head vigorously back and forth. “I hope you didn’t call me here to make some sort of proposal. If you want to divorce your wife, be my guest. But I’m not replacing her.”
“Why not?”
Olivia snorted with exasperation. “We’ve been over this. Your world comes with too many strings and obligations, for starters.”
“You don’t want to be queen.”
“No. You know this.”
Liam sighed in frustration, but he wasn’t giving up. “There is a third option.”
“What is it?”
“Let someone else give her a baby.”
Olivia’s eyebrows shot up. “Would you even agree to that?”
“If I agree to it, we would go public with the Cordonian Arrangement. There’s no way around that. The mandatory paternity test would out us.”
Her eyebrows shot even higher. “That is not something I would expect you to do. You’re too conscious of your public image, decorum, tradition—”
“Generally, yes, but there is an upside here.”
“I’m listening.”
“If it’s public knowledge, then that frees me up to do what I want without the hiding and sneaking around. You and I can still be together publicly, Liv, even if you don’t want to marry me.”
She watched him warily. “Together how?”
“I could make you the official royal mistress.” He offered, his tone, facial expression, and body language implying that he believed this to be a boon.
She stifled a laugh. “Liam, that title comes with almost as much baggage as being queen.”
It also would require her to remain faithful to the king, giving up all other lovers, something she was not prepared to do.
His face fell. The romantic dinner he had planned was going completely sidewise, and the food hadn’t even arrived yet.
Olivia tried to disarm the situation. “I’m sure she’s bluffing, anyway. Riley is in love with you, Liam. She’s not going to get pregnant by someone else.”
He laughed humorlessly. “She’s already sleeping with Drake.”
“With Drake?” Olivia focused on him with an intensity he found a little uncomfortable. “He had a vasectomy. When he and I were an item. We both agreed—”
“He offered to reverse it for her.”
Olivia felt like the floor had fallen out from under her. “He what?”
Anger rose like the tide inside him as he clocked her reaction. “He offered to reverse it for her. Why are you so upset? Do you still have feelings for him?”
“What? No!” she scoffed, but her inability to look him directly in the eye told him everything he needed to know.
He tamped down his rage as best he could. He needed things clarified for him. “So, you won’t marry me if I get divorced, and you won’t be my official mistress if I don’t. Do you actually want any type of relationship with me at all, or have I been wasting my time all these years?”
She threw her hands up in the air as she stalked away from him. “Don’t be so fucking dramatic. I have always been crystal clear that our relationship is purely sexual. You know I have other lovers and I like it that way. I need my space and freedom, Liam. I don’t want to be tied down to any one person.”
“Unless it’s Drake, you mean.”
“Oh, for the love of God, stop it. I am not in love with Drake.”
Liam felt like he’d just been slapped. “Who said anything about love? I didn’t use that word, you did!”
“Stop trying to make this about me! This is about you and Riley! Why do you need my input to make this decision?”
“Because I love you and I thought you loved me back!” White hot fury mingled with wretched despair.
He had convinced himself they were star-crossed lovers, kept apart by circumstance. He had believed that if the universe aligned so that they could be together, then they would be together.
He had been willing to throw his reputation to the wind for her. Willing to disregard public opinion and be the first monarch in Cordonian history to get a divorce. He had frozen out his wife, the woman that did love him, for a lie. A lie he’d told himself.
Olivia Nevrakis had just ripped his heart out for the second time in their lives.
“I’m sorry, Liam. Maybe you should go.”
He gathered his things and left without another word. The walk back to the royal wing felt like a million miles as he contemplated the fact that Olivia was still in love with Drake.
He hated him for it.
He knew it wasn’t fair. Drake didn’t seem to return Olivia’s feelings, nor did he seem to be encouraging or leading her on in any way.
Still.
It rankled that the only reason the woman he loved didn’t love him back was because Drake Walker existed.
Exacting any type of revenge seemed pointless. Drake hadn’t done it on purpose. He had, in fact, backed all the way off when Liam had asked him to.
Olivia wasn’t aware of it, but Liam was the reason Drake had broken things off with her.
That fact didn't make him feel any better about the situation.
An emotion he wasn't proud of stirred in his chest.
If Liam couldn’t have the woman he wanted, why should Drake get the one he wanted?
Maybe it was time to reconnect with his wife.

@outofradios | discussed starter
Somewhat unsurprisingly, Valentino and Velvette are sulking after the power failure. He’s handled the worst of the due apologies, owed for the inconvenience, and excused himself from the rest of his normal meetings. Any that couldn't be rescheduled could put up with Hellaina, or send him a stroppy email for a 15% off coupon.
He's curled up on his couch, his head leaning against the armrest with his head tilted towards the ceiling, and twisting between his fingers, his wedding band. He'd stopped wearing it years ago, but so had Alastor. If anyone bothered to look, they'd never guess there had ever been more between them than friendship. There was bound to be a record around somewhere, unless something had happened to it in an extermination.
He pauses in his spinning, holding the ring up to his line of sight, he twists it, letting it catch the ambient light. Had Alastor gotten rid of his or just stopped wearing it? Was this the last vestige of their marriage?
He's brought from his reverie when his door chime sounds. "Come in," he calls, and his dear PA walks in, waving an ornate envelope. "What's this?"
The eel demon shrugs, passing it to him. "Royal summons-- it was just delivered."
Vox blinks, accepting the missive and scanning it quickly. The Princess of Hell requested his presence at the Hazbin Hotel... well that's unexpected. He pulls himself to his feet, tucking the ring into his pocket, and adjusts his sleeves. "Well then, I suppose I should go see what the fuss is about." He says, and his PA nods.
Usually, he'd get a lift, travelling via the electrical current left him feeling rough, at best, and typically a bit disoriented, but he was already feeling a bit rough and disoriented, and time seemed to be of the essence.
He pulls himself though the wires, out the tower and across the city to reform outside the Hotel. He pats his pocket, ring still there, phone, and tired as he is, he pulls his grin together and knocks on the door, he's speaking before it's properly open. "Hello, I do believe I'm expected? At least the letter my PA delivered leads me to think as much."

I absolutely love your RWRB x Pokémon crossovers! What would you think of one where Alex, Henry, and the reader watch their Pokémon interact with each other?
It was times like these that were rare. That Henry had no royal responsibilities for the day. That Alex could take a break from school and work on his mother's campaign. And Y/N could finally relax now that the Grand Festival was behind him.
The three of them took a stroll towards the gardens of the castle as an idea came to Y/N. "Can I ask what your guy's first Pokemon?"
Alex and Henry looked at him before they smiled. "Of course. My first Pokemon was given to me by my dad on my tenth birthday." Alex removed a pokeball from his belt loop, and pressed the center button as it expanded and he threw it up in the air as a Blaziken appeared. It's flaming fist hot and fierce.
"Wow, that's so awesome." Y/N smiled. It was obvious that Alex had raised it very well.
Henry scoffed. "That's nothing." He summoned his own Pokemon from his coat pocket and it appeared to be an Empoleon. Tall and sharp as a sword.
"That's very impressive. My first Pokemon was a Chikorita." Y/N let out the grass dinosaur Pokemon as it looked up at the more intimidating starters. It didn't back down. "As you can see. It's a spitfire."
They nodded as Alex called out his Gengar and Lycanroc (Midday form). And Henry summoned his Togekiss and Sirfetch'd.
All three boys watched as the Pokemon jumped and played with each other as Y/N let out his Glaceon and Fuecoco to join in the fun.

The raven had come to them at the wall, which meant one of two things - either it was sent directly there to Cregan, or a second was sent to Winterfell, to inform Shaera. How the letter read, he was sure this was the only one sent. This was not news that would aid their caused, and even grieving, it read as a royal command, likely in case it was intercepted. It was a summons for them both to return - Luke had been killed, and they were needed back at Dragonstone, immediately. He knocked upon the door of the quarters she had been granted, a guest of the North, who were (at least this success had occurred) their allies, not forsaking their own to the rightful Queen and her heirs, no matter what the rumors and stories claimed. He held the parchment in his hand, waiting for her to respond, either opening the door or telling him to enter.

Family Line
(Closed starter for @goldaegontargaryen)
Tumblr media
Rhaenyra stood with her hands clasped tightly behind her back, facing the stone doors that guarded the Red Keep's entrance hall as she turned the wedding ring on her left hand round and round with the thumb and forefinger of her right. Her half siblings would walk through those doors any moment, returned to their family home for the first time in the year and a half since she'd petitioned for Aegon and Helaena to be awarded Dragonstone for their seat to start a new branch of House Targaryen; the latest and strongest thread in the web the Crown Princess had been weaving in the decade since she was appointed her father's Hand to ensure neither their House nor the Realm suffered to see the ascension their King-Father had planned. An edict that had now been in place only about eight moons short of thirty years. Under fairer, happier circumstances, Rhaenyra would have liked to greet all her siblings with hugs, a show of political good faith, of course, but at it's heart a demonstration of personal sincerity she had always been far better at conveying through touch than words. It would have been a way to show her gratitude for Aegon, Helaena, and indeed their whole family's willingness to participate in her continued pursuit of of as peaceful a transition of power as any of them could hope for their Kingdom's first ruling Queen.
These are not the light hearted circumstances she'd wished for the Prince and Princess of Dragonstone's first return to court, not a wedding, a nameday, or any other celebration she'd dared to hope would greet them after leaving for the island whose magic seemed to bring a piece of her back to life all those years ago. They were here because, after ten years of surgeries and constant treatments for the King's continuously failing health, their father was well and truly dying; by all accounts faced with less than a moon to live. The whole of their House had been summoned to attend Viserys, and quickly after that became unnecessary, to attend Rhaenyra's own coronation. It's hardly the kind of occasion that calls for hugs, at least, when the man dying is the King. Some within the Court had even urged her to greet the younger royals with handcuffs, though the suggestion was quickly brushed aside as ludicrous even by her infamously short-fused husband Prince Daemon. Aegon had no wish to rule, Rhaenyra had been training for it since she was a child, and she thought...she hoped they shared an appreciation for the other's willingness to take on a role neither had been expected to shoulder at birth. Especially now all there's left to was walk this long and lonely line of mourning before they might finally live out their own lives and legacies.
Rhaenyra's finally startled out of her ring-twisting when the stone doors opened with a slam, composing her face into a small smile that supplemented an empathetic gaze before she called, "Dear brother! I'd hoped to greet you all at the gate, forgive me, I'm afraid my list of tasks has grown rather endless in these past days. How are you all faring?"

CLOSED STARTER ! TRYSTANE BLACKWOOD ( @godbvrns )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the whispers about house blackwood had reach him long before they were called to the capital . assertions in the guise of whispers , that is . a prestigious bloodline with roots buried deep into the soils of westeros itself . his mind began weaving its plans , a forged fateful encounter must take shape , and only an unsuspecting circumstance is necessary for the masterplan . and as the faithful insist at the presence of sheer luck , the gods provide . the perfect moment took a while , but it arrived , not with luck , not with black magic that the blackwoods allegedly dabble with , but with a royal summon . ❝ i don't believe we had the pleasure of an introduction , lord blackwood . ❞ meeting and introductions are the only goals , mimic apparitions in their fleeting state , a gust of wind brushing on cheeks , a whiff of dulcet musk . ❝ unfortunate that it had to be in this time of mourning . ❞ his cordial reputation is a stronghold , quick to dispel suspicions . nothing out of the ordinary with the youngest son of lord caspor reyne working a room , as he does in most gatherings .

"I, too, have a destiny! This death will be ART!!"
✨ Introduction Post!! 🖌️✨
{Welcome to my account, my little bunnies! You can me Angel or Avery. I'm the owner of this beautiful acc. This post is my introduction and starter for my main muse and rules. When i am OOC - i use {} brackets, and prefer to use quotation marks and small paragraphs when IN character.}
{ OOC - I use They/He/It pronouns, while my muse uses She/Her pronouns. To make it simple; I am okay with basically any topic/genre of RP, as long as it isn't problematic and toxic. || i usually go for OC x canon stories or angst to add some spice to it, tho. || PEDOS/ZOOPHILES/PROSHIPPERS/TOXIC MF-ERS DNI!! || 16+ ONLY!! || }
Now. Onto my main muse!! Angel!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
{Note: 2 of the images were screenshot redraws of Chicha. Angel has a similar facial shape but the same eyes as her.}
Name: Angel
Movie/Series: Emperor's New Groove Age: 18 years Gender: female Sexuality: Bisexual Pronouns: She/Her Height: 5"4' Body type: Curvy and chubby Personality: Hot-headed, sensitive, obsessive, clingy, artistic, (literally a mixture of her mother and she copies the emperor sometimes) Nationality: unknown Languages: English, practicing Spanish and Japanese
Voice claim; Brutus - The buttress
Mother: Yzma Crushes: Kuzco and Deo
Being born as the daughter of the Emperor's advisor (Yzma), Angel was kept a secret for nearly 5 years, but still treated like a daughter with love and affection, but also heartbreak and shouts of negativity. Angel was soon introduced to Kuzco to be his royal painter and 'best friend' when they were both around 6 years old. Kuzco didn't have much interest in her only because she was a servant and he was a literal child at the time. Yzma would discuss plans with Angel and try to force her to help out, but some failures happened. Angel has been verbally and emotionally abused by her mother but she still loved her with all her heart.
The older she got, Angel started catching on the manipulation, feeling like a tool. Confronting her mother at age 10, Yzma became more distant with Angel, but started to feel bad the more she was away from her. Trying to make up for her negative actions, Angel was already about 12-13 years old, and could see how similar Angel has become to her; hot-headed, loud, but holds a sense of fashion, and so forth, making this more difficult than it should be. At age 14, the two had made up a bit, tried to think of plans of actual mother and daughter hangouts and future plans…. But it became worse once again.
Yzma had paid more attention to Kuzco and tried to think what would be the best to get rid of him and make herself the Empress, Angel calling her out in a fit of rage and was… Kicked out.
Angel had to move away, and become a villager, restart her life, etc. She felt miserable, wishing her and her mother had a better relationship. Angel had started drinking shortly after moving into a village. She had been through a deep depression and caused harmed upon herself, physically and mentally. Her life (after the age of 15) slowly got better, but she still had a bad drinking habit. She met the village 'crazy boy', Deo, and the two clinged on to each other and connected right away, as if they were destined to meet.
The two would chat about anything, from Family, to weird thoughts, to even their crush on the emperor.
By the time they were both 18, Angel had gotten the summons… She was asked to be Kuzco's royal painter once more after he found out the truth about her. She agreed, but only if Deo was allowed to tag along. He was skeptical at first, but since Kuzco was a better person, he gave in and allowed it. Deo and Angel were going back and forth from the villages to the palace, living the dream.
{All information was copy and pasted from my notes - Hopefully it all makes some form of sense. I hope y'all like this and anyone who wishes to rp, feel free to comment or DM me.}
{Bye, my lil' bunnies!!}

First Impressions - First Meeting
Tumblr media
Lilac eyes opened to an unfamiliar room as she looked about to notice she was in a room filled with demons, she remembers vaguely that Maddi mentioned something about demons, she just can't remember what right now, right now Lilac is a bit pissed off being summoned to another realm by strangers after she opened a letter that she didn't even get chance to read.
"Welcome to Devildom Lilac" a red head spoke as he sat in the chief judge seat in this council, court roomish place, Lilac could not care, she would like to go back to the human realm please and thank you. "oh pardon me. Feeling a bit shocked are we?" the red head continues "well that's understandable. You've only just arrived, after all as a human, it will take you awhile to adjust to things down here"
Could he shut up? Lilac thought as her back ached, great just great it just had to start up didn't it?
"The Devildom..?" Lilac questioned, so she was right she's in the realm of demons "Why am I here?" the tone in her voice was agitation, she wants to go home please, please to anyone out there ensure her father gives her mother the right medicine to numb the pain please, well as much as it can, it isn't the most effective but it's the best option
"Yes exactly, the Devildom, I see that you catch on quickly, excellent" the red head continued "I suppose I should start by introducing myself"
That would be the obvious choice Lilac thought
"My name is Diavolo" Diavolo introduces himself "I am ruler of all demons and all here knows me and someday soon I will be crowned King of Devildom, this is the royal academy of Diavolo though we just call it RAD, your standing in the assembly hall, the very heart of RAD. This is where we officers of the student council hold our meetings and conduct our business, I'm the president of said council"
Oh he's the one Maddi tried to marry, I remember hearing about that but why do I need to know this?
"Why am I here? what does this have to do with me?" Lilac questioned, she is pissed off but she wants answers first then she'll start shouting
"I will explain everything to you" another spoke
"Wait even better question can I go home? Because whatever is going on I don't want to do it" Lilac spoke "because all I did was open an letter that I didn't even get a chance to read and appeared here"
"You won't be going home yet, you are here to part take in an exchange program of the three realms for peace, you'll be staying here for a year" the other spoke
"Okay what the fuck?!" Lilac exclaims "so you kidnap me and then expect me to take part in this exchange program, no your forcing me to just because oh yay peace everyone wants that" she started to rant "I don't care who the fuck you are future king or who the rest of you are, I'd like to go home and focus on my job, I don't have time for this bullshit"
"Cal-" Diavolo spoke before being interrupted
"Because it's fucking arrogant for starters because I'm a healer for the Sorcerer's Society and quiet a few witches and those without powers, you have just caused a bunch of patients to loose their healer for a year how do you plan to rectify that, will I still be able to go to the human realm for my work or are you going to allow people to die because they couldn't get to a healer or a doctor's in the time they needed to because their healer had been forcefully made absent and to reside in another realm" Lilac spoke "and I have my own matters as well in the human realm how do you plan to rectify that it's very arrogant to force someone to take part and it only shows because you plan on forcing me to stay here you don't see humanity as equals as you believe you have the right to force us to do this stuff without thinking of consequences if you want peace you have to see humanity as equals and have seen humanity? we have short lifespans and you think it would be peaceful nope, we have wars with one another and sometimes over the most stupid things and most of humanity doesn't even know Devildom or Celestial realm exists so why are you trying to make peace between the three realms without making your existence known in the human realm? Is it to gain more influence on humans as a whole because if it is I will make your lives miserable because humans are just as much of equals to you demons and the Celestial realm even if we aren't like either species" Lilac's rant went on and by the mere tone alone you could tell she was serious and pissed off by the prospect "and do I even need to cover the matter of you guys by definition and legal view in the human realm kidnapped me and now are keeping me here by force, that's a big legal problem, so unless your willing to compromise with me, I'll be heading home now"
Silence filled the room as she noticed a demon glaring at her, the demon appeared to be a demon of sorts, one of the demons seemed to have recorded it all, and most of them looked gobsmacked that she did what she did, though she could tell that one of them looked amused in the matter.
When Diavolo started to chuckle, it pissed her off even more as he smirked
"Well we'll need to sort out those details won't we Lilac?" Diavolo spoke
What did I just get into? Lilac thought as she agreed "Yes we will then, I do expect your open to compromises if this is to work"

Tumblr media
HEART POUDING IN HER CHEST so wildly, the brunette hastened her steps as she made her way down the dark, empty corridors. the hallway she was in only available for the family and their guards, the royal bedchambers each on the opposite ends of the hallway and to reach her destination Anna had to pass the woman's door first. she tried to make her steps as silent as possible, but the guard leading her did not take such measures of precaution. "My lord." the brunette curtsied swiftly and gracefully as she entered her lover's bedchamber, just mere minutes after having been summoned. she heard the door closing behind her and the two of them were left on their own - allowing Anna to drop the cold, official mask she often wore around others & that seemed to melt quickly in his presence "As happy as I am that you called for me, you know that this is the time you should spend with your lady-wife." the woman cautiously reminded - to secure an heir the man was supposed to visit his wife's bed at least once during the woman's most fertile time. not spend it with his mistress. "Should you not be with her tonight?" Anna hummed, tilting her head to the side in question "What more important could have happened that brought me here?"

The Defiant King: To Catch a Killer
Series: The Defiant King
Fandom: The Royal Romance
Pairings: None in this chapter
Word Count: 1,620
Rating: MA

My other stuff: Master List.
Tumblr media
Liam sat in his office contemplating the fact that his mother’s killer was currently in the wind. His fury was tempered by the knowledge that there was nowhere on the face of the earth that Godfrey was safe from his reach. He couldn’t evade capture forever. He’d find him eventually.
Godfrey would pay for his crimes.
Bastien’s incompetence during the palace lockdown fiasco could not be overlooked, and Liam was done being nice. It had gotten him absolutely nowhere. Not in his personal life, not in his professional life. He had fired Bastien and promoted Mara.
There was a knock at his door and the new head of palace security ushered the countess inside.
“If you wanted to speak to me,” Madeleine sniffed, “You could have just called.”
“Sorry for any inconvenience, my lady. Please, have a seat.” He gestured to the chair across from his desk.
Madeleine sat primly on the edge of the seat, crossing her legs and wrapping her hands around her knees as she tilted her head to the side. “It’s about time you contacted me.”
“Is that so?” Liam raised an eyebrow, curious as to why she thought he had summoned her.
“Yes.” She nodded emphatically. “With the birth of your heir and the line of succession secured, you’re ready to focus on ruling. You’ve realized that Riley is never going to be your queen and you’re ready to move on. Am I close?”
He smirked as he took his seat behind the expansive mahogany desk. “You’re right on all counts.”
Smugness settled on her features as she nodded. “I’m prepared to forgive you for past rashness and reinstate our engagement contingent on a few concessions, of course.”
He leaned back in his chair and steepled his fingers under his chair. “I must confess, I’m curious about what concessions you require.”
“A public apology, for starters. The way you unceremoniously dumped me was quite pedestrian and undignified. It requires an apology. The new marriage contract must be signed in front of multiple witnesses. We’ll sign it together, so I know you’re serious this time. I’ll need a new ring. You can’t expect me to accept the same one I returned.”
“Of course not. What else?”
“I’ll choose my own ladies in waiting this time, just as I’ll choose my own staff. I get full discretion with redecorating the palace. And Riley will give up her rooms at the palace. She has an estate; she can go back there.”
The amusement on the king’s face was replaced by annoyance. “Is that all?”
“Yes.” Madeleine was less sure of herself as she noted his pique.
Liam sat up straight and fixed her with a steely gaze. “Riley will stay here under my roof for as long as she damn well pleases.”
“If you expect me to agree to another engagement—”
Liam snorted. “Don’t worry. I’m not getting engaged to you, or anyone else, for that matter.”
“I don’t understand.”
“While you were correct that the line of succession is secured, Riley will never be queen and I am ready to move on and focus on ruling…none of that is why I called you here.”
Madeleine’s brows creased in confusion. “You didn’t call me here to renew our engagement?”
“No.”
“Then why did you ask me what my terms were?”
“Because it was amusing.”
Embarrassment flared through her. She covered it with ire. “Wow. You’re a real asshole, do you know that?”
“So, I’ve been told.”
Madeleine’s usually pale cheeks were stained with pink as she snapped, “Why did you call me here then?”
“Where’s your father?”
She blinked several times as she processed the question. “What?”
“You heard me, Countess. Where is he?”
“I don’t know. Why?”
Liam watched her face closely. She seemed genuinely perplexed. A bit of the tension eased out of his shoulders. At least he hadn’t been engaged to a woman that knew her father was a murderer. “He’s wanted for the murder of Queen Eleanor, my mother. Regicide is not just murder, but high treason, punishable by death.”
What small bit of color she possessed drained from her cheeks. “What? No…. there must be some mistake. My father is a son of a bitch, but he’s no murderer!”
Liam softened a little. “I’m sorry, Madeleine, but there’s proof.”
The countess slumped in her seat. Deep down in the bottom of her heart, she believed him, for her father was ruthless. He cared for nothing quite so much as self-advancement, she knew that only too well. “My mother—”
“Will be stripped of all her lands and titles. She’ll be allowed to stay in her home for now, assuming she’s cleared of any involvement.”
“There’s no way my mother knew. Come on Liam, you’ve met her. She’s not smart enough to pull something like that off, not ambitious enough to want to and she’s far too gossipy not to tell someone something if she knew anything about it.”
“Then she has nothing to worry about.”
“Except for losing her ancestral lands and titles.”
Liam shrugged. “She brought a traitor to court. If not for her, Godfrey wouldn’t have Cordonian citizenship, and he certainly would never have been in my parent’s inner circle.”
“Liam, please…”
His gaze hardened again. “Please what?”
“Be reasonable!”
He barked out an ironic laugh. “A moment ago, you were dictating a list of unreasonable demands to me.”
“Those weren’t unreasonable, and you tricked me into thinking you wanted to renew our engagement!”
“Why would I get engaged to someone who is no longer a member of the nobility?”
Her eyelids fluttered closed as she silently cursed her father. When she opened them again, her entire demeanor had shifted. “Please, Your Majesty, I beg you for mercy. I had nothing to do with my father’s crimes!”
Liam leaned back, tapping a finger to his lips. “Perhaps your mother’s lands and titles could be bestowed upon you… assuming you’re willing to earn them.”
“Yes! Yes, I’ll do whatever you ask of me!”
“I knew you would see reason. You’ll start by telling us everything you know about your father, his business, his associates, and so on. No detail is too small. I want to know what he eats for breakfast.”
“If you think it will help…”
“It will. You never know what might be important. Some detail you deem irrelevant could be important in the right hands. I’ve assembled a special intelligence force to track him down. You’ll be giving information to them over the course of several days or weeks. However long it takes.”
“I’ll be interrogated?”
Liam lifted a shoulder indifferently. “Semantics. You’re cooperating. Look at it as an interview.”
“Fine,” she huffed. “Give them my number and—”
“That won’t be necessary. You’ll be staying here.”
“But I want to go home…”
“That won’t be possible. Not until your father is apprehended.”
For the first time, a tendril of actual fear threaded its way through her. “You’re keeping me prisoner?”
“Please. You’ll be in one of our finest suites, in the royal wing. My honored guest. Does that sound like a prison?”
“Am I allowed to leave?”
“You just told me you were willing to do whatever it takes to help me bring your father to justice and restore your family’s honor…as well as its money, titles, lands, servants—”
“Yes, alright. I get it.”
“Mara will be assigning a personal guard to you….for your protection, of course.”
Her eyes narrowed. “Of course.”
“You will stay on palace grounds for the duration of the investigation. You will surrender your phone for my IT team to search. It will be returned with the proper programs for monitoring communications. Your mother can visit you here if she likes, but those visits will also be monitored.”
Madeleine’s face flamed red. Her fists clenched at her side. “You’re treating me like a criminal!”
Liam stood, effectively ending the conversation, and strode to the door. “No. If I considered you a criminal, you’d be in a cell in the dungeon. I’m treating you as an asset. One that I expect cooperation from.”
Madeleine slowly rose from her seat and followed him. “I already said I’d cooperate. This is excessive. You don’t need to keep me prisoner!”
Liam paused at the door and leaned into her personal space. “Let me be very clear, Madeleine. If you ever want to see the outside of this palace again, you will cooperate fully with the parameters I’ve put in place. The crown is seizing your parent’s assets, bank accounts, and properties as we speak. When this ordeal is over, you can walk out of here a free woman, a duchess with complete control over your family’s wealth and your public image intact. Or you and your mother can be stripped of citizenship and exiled from the country, penniless. The choice is yours.”
He stepped away from her and pulled the door open to summon Mara. “Take the countess to her suite and make sure she stays there.”
Madeleine, with her gaze fixed on the toe of her two million dollar Tanzanite heels, whispered, “Can I at least send for my clothing?”
Liam’s face broke out in a satisfied grin. “Glad to see you’ve decided to cooperate.” Turning to Mara, he ordered, “Make sure Lady Madeleine gets whatever personal possessions from Fydelia she desires. And don’t forget to relieve her of her phone.”
He stepped back so Madeline could move into the hallway and into Mara’s possession.
Her usual haughty demeanor subdued, she cast a glance back at her former fiancé, hopelessness painted on her face.
Her desperation stirred no sympathy in his heart. His face betrayed no emotion as he shut the door in her face.

This is probably extremely weird, but I have an idea for a DSMP x Fate Holy Grail War AU
Okay, for starters for those who don't know, a Holy Grail war is when the manifestation of legends of "Heroes" are summoned (Servants), and they and their Masters compete Battle Royale style to the death. The winning Master and Servant get their wishes granted from the Holy Grail.
There are seven classes of Servants:
1. Sabers
2. Lancers
3. Archers
4. Riders
5. Casters
6. Assassins
7. Beserkers
Seven Servants and seven Masters. There's normally a Ruler Servant who oversees the Holy Grail War and makes sure non-participants.
This is how it's supposed to work in theory. It normally doesn't, for spice ✨
Feel free to look at posts I've reblogged or TV Tropes for a better understanding of the framework.
Back to the AU idea, it involves the DSMP, but in a more modern setting. Normally, the Holy Grail War is supposed to take place in Fuyuki, Japan (the OGs: Fate Stay Night, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel, but it has happened in America (Fate Strange Fake) Romania (Fate Apocrypha) and the Moon (Fate Extra) among others.
First of all, I'll begin with Tommy, because I had an epiphany as to who his servant should be. Here me out: Beserker Servant, Kriemhild.
Kriemhild (from the German Nibelungenlied) was a tragic figure. Her husband was the heroic and selfless Siegfried (slayed the dragon Fafnir with Balmung) who was murdered along with their only child Gunther due to Kriemhild and her family being betrayed by her older brother Gunther (son was named after brother to add salt into the wound) and Hagen in order to get access to the treasure (originally Fafnir's) that was rightfully Kriemhild's inheritance. Kriemhild also had a brother called Giselher who says he's on Kriemhild's side but just doesn't do anything and helps out his brother and Hagen. The vengeful window then married Etzel, the epic's Attila the Hun (a pagan when she was Christian, a Big Thing back then) and by god did she get her bloody, bloody revenge on the family who took everything from her. Back then, however, a girl turning against her family like that, despite them murdering her husband and son was despicable, and thus she went down in history as a crazed villainess. Oh, Hagen killed the son she had with Eztel too, just to add salt to the wound. Just to be clear though, Kriemhild is tragic, but she also got a lot of innocent people killed, and was the downfall of both the Burgundians and the Huns. Her story is essentially a dark exploration of the lengths one has to go to and the lines one has to cross to conduct revenge.
Moving onto why I think she should be partnered with Tommy:
Tommy is a child soldier who while looks selfish is actually super selfless (fought in L'mangburg war, lost two lives for it, gave up his discs for country's independence, fought Dream the villain, etc.), who was exiled twice by his nation and was backstabbed by his friends and family (Tubbo (under sympathetic circumstances) was forced to exile him, Wilbur hurt him while mentally ill and ultimately abandoned him to go to fucking Utah, Techno betrayed Tommy first, he offered him to Dream when he and Tommy were supposed to be friends), Tommy thought Dream was a friend until he realised how fucking evil he really was, Sam failed to rescue him from the prison, and Tubbo and Ranboo fucked off and got married when Tommy needed them (I love them but I can admit they fucked up there).
My point is: Tommy is a tragic child who was hurt and betrayed by everyone he ever loved, but holds no ill will towards them because he's that good of a person (even empathises with fucking Dream: "how do you not hurt?")
And you know who that seems similar to fate's interpretation of? SIEGFRIED
Kriemhild would see Tommy and know that a person who puts everyone's else's happiness before themselves is doomed to tragedy, just like Siegfried (and while her brother and Hagen murdered him in cold blood, she also feels guilty because she Told them Siegfried's weakness (his back, man was literally backstabbed by his brother-in-law and friend) because she Trusted her brother and it costed her Everything), and Tommy's also young enough to remind her of her innocently murdered sons Gunther and the one she had with Eztel too (points for Tommy also being murdered by Dream, a semi-older brother figure).
I think she'd feel protective of Tommy because of it. Tommy would remind her that there's still good people in the world and Kriemhild would hopefully get Tommy to stand up for himself and learn that it's okay to hate people who hurt you.
I just reckon you'd have a really interesting relationship between the two.
Other characters I'd have are:
Wilbur (returned from Utah so we get that angst)
Dream
Quackity
Techno
Sam (working with Quackity)
And someone else
I'm not too sure on all the Servants yet, but I have two ideas:
Quackity - Ushiwakamaru (Rider)
Quackity acts heartless but he's a softie at heart who is full of love but refuses to ever let him get hurt again. He was in an abusive relationship and killed his abuser before eating his heart, because he's just that metal. Quackity tortured Dream for what he did to Tommy (I personally headcanon that Quackity gave Dream the same scars that green bitch gave Tommy. Quackity would look out for Tommy, but not in an obvious way. He has his Cool Persona, after all.
Quackity needs someone loyal to him but someone who isn't afraid to be pragmatic and play dirty. That's Ushiwakamaru to a T (homegirl has killed kids before [Babylonia]). Not only would Quackity be secretly So Concerned that this kid is a Servant, but you also have Ushiwakamaru's backstory in being betrayed by her older brother Minamoto-no-Yoritomo. Fate's appeal is how different characters from across space and time interact with one another, and you have delicious parallels with Kriemhild (Ushiwakamaru loves her brother while Kriemhild fucking hates hers) as well as Tommy (his messed up pseudo brother relationship with Wilbur, Techno and even Dream), and all these characters' philosophies to it all.
My second idea is for Techno's Servant. He's obsessed with Greek mythology, so you'd think I'd pair him with someone strong like Achilles, or Hercules or Castor and Pollux. Here me out though: Jason. Jason is a slimy man whose a brilliant tactician and works best when cornered. The story of Jason and Medea is well known. We all know how Jason betrayed Medea (he did point out how terrifying a woman who murdered her innocent little brother for you is though) which lead to Medea killing their children and eventually Jason died penniless and alone, crushed by his own ship with no one to mourn. A classic greek tale of hubris. Let's make it clear though, I love both Medea and Jason (hard not to after Atlantis).
I think Jason's reaction to Kriemhild would be interesting. A homicide woman triggers his Medea Button, plus he has regrets about how he treated Medea (if Fate [Greek]) allowed it, they could have been happy together, OSP does a good video on it if you're interested), and he loved his kids. He might see a bit of them in Tommy, the only child in the Holy Grail War.
I can personally see Dream and Techno teaming up too, and Jason would be so creeped out and disgusted by Dream. I also think Kriemhild would have it out for Techno too, a backstabbing 'older brother' triggers her Gunther Button.
I'll add to this later, but tell me your ideas please I want this to be a multi-person project.
Just note, I want to include the good and bad elements of a person's character. That's what makes them interesting. Point out their flaws too.

When Urbosa was young, one of the things she looked forward to most were trips to Hyrule. She and the then-princess were close friends from the moment they met, and she loved seeing her mother's work in action. This had waned in her teen years, as the novelty wore off, but she had always hoped she would be able to do the same for her daughter.
Sadly, due to rising tensions in the world at large, it was unwise to do so.
If the Yiga were mad enough to assassinate the Queen of Hyrule herself, Urbosa was under no illusions that she was also not somewhere on that list - although, much lower, she imagined. The Gerudo were stable in a way Hyrule was not, and if she could say so herself, she was no easy target. Not only would one have to battle through the palace, they would have to face her themselves. And, unlike the gifts bestowed upon the Hyrulean royal family, Urbosa was largely able to summon her powers whenever she chose.
Even so, it was dangerous to have both Cegulan and Aquilifaan abroad at once. She had come on a few trips when she was very young, before the queen's death, but Etanna had only seen Hyrule a few times. Now that she had some control over her own powers, Urbosa wasn't quite so worried about her, and given that she was already seventeen, it was high time that she be introduced to outside statesmanship, instead of the strictly internal affairs she had been privy to until now.
Etanna was outwardly much like her mother at her age. She was tall, even for Gerudo, already standing at 8 and a half feet tall. She had striking green eyes that were a bit too narrow to properly be called beautiful. She wore golden eyeshadow and green lipstick, one in reverence to her position, the other a choice made after her other mother, Stanna. She was much more solemn than Urbosa. If she had been able to know her grandmother, Urbosa knew instinctively the two would have gotten on like thieves.
When Urbosa finished with Roahm, a terse meeting as always, she and Etanna left to the receiving room.
"You can go to Castle Town during the day, but if you want to leave the perimeter, you need to tell me or take Baarta with you, understood? "Yes Vavhi."

it was a wedding day that brought her;   defiant to death’s hand as she was summoned upon stone at the arch of a gateway door.   it was a summoner and their royal companions that welcomed her into this new,   strange country;   askr,   it was called.   selphina greeted them as a proper leonster would,   and kept her head high as she was led through corridors and pathways behind the sun’s pupil herself,   princess sharena.   selphina was always a friend before a wife,   then a mother;   she listened well to princess sharena’s tour.   of course, the whereabouts of her husband outshone most of her internal thoughts,   for if she was a bride in this ceremony then where was the groom she was to fight beside?
even at the end of the tour,   selphina did not find her husband.   she found her.
leonster pride in her smile,   attire alike that the very same of their meeting together.   selphina quickly bid princess sharena a farewell,   clutching dearly to her skirts as she rushed off in graceful steps.   it was her,   that she was certain of.   prince alfonse had spoken of the many heroes of other worlds,   those of hers and those that were not.   but he had never spoken of the dead.   even now, as selphina caught up to the courtyard,   entranced by the sight of flowers curled around the fountain,   there was nothing dead about the pink   -   haired lady standing before her.
“   ethlyn...   is that you?   ”   selphina whispered,   her chest heaving despite the unwavering steadiness of her voice.   she trembled when the lady turned towards her,   only then aware of the wetness of her face,   the stinging in her eyes.   she swore not to cry,   not to herself or glade or any of her dear friends.   but...
“   oh ethlyn—   ”   another cry left her as she closed the distance,   throwing her arms around ethlyn’s shoulders and knocking her weight carelessly into the other’s.   it was not a ghost,   she knew this upon the first touch.   this ethlyn did not disappear when selphina called her name.   she did not come alive for but a moment,   if only to taunt her.   it took moments for selphina to remember who it was that she had been crying against.   reluctant,   selphina pulled back,   raising her head from the crook of ethlyn’s neck and shoulder.   “   ethlyn,   you...   is this because of askr’s gates?   ”   her hand rose,   too,   brushing ethlyn’s cheek gently with the back of her fingers.
selphina laughed and wiped her tears,   ignorant to the newer tears that fell then,   “   do you remember me?   it’s selphina!   your dearest friend...   ”

@avispatr from Starter Call
A summons from the King was never waited on. Duedphelon didn't even recall what else he was even doing before the hail came to him- he dropped it an left instantly. Sure, the journey to Paimon's mansion was on foot from the decrepit remains of his own castle, but a few shortcuts on rooftops and a some swinging through the lines and infrastructure later, he could see it in the distance. The steward would let onlookers wonder what the hell an Ars Goetia was doing urban running his way through the upper level of a busy intersection. That wasn't his problem right now. The sight was made even more jarring by the fact that his chosen attire was rich red formal outfit with thick cuffs in a colonial fashion- something far more modern than his usual fair.
Finally jumping from an overhang to land on the top of a passing truck, he then rode that until he found the path that would take him to Paimon's manor- though he would need to walk the rest of the way. Common vehicles were not like to pass through that way.
He brushed himself off and walked up to the main gate and presented himself to the whatever security the King of the Ars Goetia had. "Royal Steward Duedephelon of Castle Noctua as summoned."
