We made a few laps around town then went threw the woods once before getting some food at Granny's. We could go in there and no one would question it, we got our usual spot which was in the very back and ate before heading back to his place to relax.

Later that afternoon August and y/n retired to his apartment to relax and so August could do some writing. I dislike it when people focus so heavily on lgbt rep . Both as a criticism AND as a praise.

It honestly feels like people go ‘look, gay people/hot girls!’ And never went any deeper.

like if say that if the 5 shades of grey was focused on two girls that some of the people who were bashing it would suddenly love it when before they were saying it was badly written

I have seen people go well yangs theme song includes the lines yellow beauty while blakes goes black the beast a  reference to beauty and the beast so its proof bumbleby was planned from the start

1. the theme songs arent canon crwby stated this

2. lets be real here red like roses doesnt sound like ruby too me

3. its been stated that crwby arent planning to retell the myths and they have no problem having multiple characters allude to a character ( like rwby gun theory ironwood and weiss both the tinman) so yang and blake connections to beauty and beast doesnt mean they have to have romantic love they could just have platonic love ( I saw a story where two boys were like brothers to each other and their story is basically got the nickname romeo and juliet ( naruto version)   there was alot of similarities between it

4.  Ican easily imagine people writing it so while blake does connect to the beast and yang the beauty they arent that for each other blakes beauty being sun ( who had a big part in her character development and growth which belle had been for the beast)

and someone else being the beast to yangs beauty ( it reminds me of someone making a post saying adam is yangs yin ( and he has an allusion to beast ) it would be kind of funny and if they tried to redeem him to have him show growth  that adam someone who hated humans  ended up falling in love with one  I have seen alot of fics where adam left the fang. (I dont seriously ship it I was just bringing that up as an example or yang x mercury

5 ( if they planned it from the start why didnt they set it up till either v6 finale or v7 ( it can be argues that nothing in v6 was inherently romantic ( renora plane scene being a romantic plane scene  doesnt make the blake and yang scene on the plane romantic just because they have some similarities like just because the sun introduction was ship tease and sun winked there doesnt make yang winking at blake romantic

at that point even if they did plan it from the start they should have recognized what they have done wrong and change the plan  Iwould have no problem if yang and suns  genders were swapped from the start  I would still ship blacksun 

and the blacksun ship would have been the fan favorite ship

( I would have had no problem if in a remake they went with bumbleby its just because they threw away the years of buildup that blacksun had gotten that pissed me off ( at this point if in a remake they tried to say do the gender swap change sun to a girl and then go with blacksun  for blacksun shippers who are annoyed ( it would be annoying seeing the people who tried to attack blacksun when it was a het ship support it as a same sex ship  ordefend it by going lgbt representation there are hardly any same sex ships that are canon which is a shallow argument ( and yes it is shallow its based on genders involved  or the fact that there arent many ships  good writing is more important )     I would tell them no  in the remake where blacksun becomes canon keep it the same it would feel like submitting to the people who harassed and attacked people for shipping blacksun over bb like going I am not a bigot here I am gender swapping sun to make it a same sex ship when you dont need to prove to them you arent a bigot they are making a joke of it by claiming that over shipping 

 they are the ones who shipped based on genders involved or claimed ships were forced on them because of the genders involved   I have seen people  actively tried to claim blacksun was being forced on them going there are tons of same sex ships they could do which is no different if when they were teasing a same sex ship someone claimed it was being forced on them that there are tons of straight ships they could do which makes it clear its based on genders involved  ) 

   and the wasps attacked people calling them  homophobes  for supporting blacksun over bb  not to mention attacking sun for being a man who got in the way of bb  smearing him  and trying to undermine the ship  claiming sun was a stalker when he wasnt

 I dont really care about who yang ended up with be it adam , weiss ( unless she already got paired with jaune  , etc though a part of me would laugh out of spite  if say in a remake all of the girls on team rwby were paired with guys ( the idea that because arkos and renora were things hinted at and they were het ships   white rose and bb needed to be canon is just ridiculous  there is no doubt that if say arkos and renora and blacksun  were same sex ships while white rose and bb were het ships people wouldnt be saying that its wrong  for blacksun to happen  the but there are hardly same sex ships   isnt a valid argument writing of the ships are whats important at v1 there was nothing that told us what ship they would go with  we could hope they go in your direction with bb because of your desire for lgbt rep and they do it well but in the end  they gave blacksun years of buildup teasing mutual attraction and development and understanding of each other up to and including v6 goodbye scene a romantic goodbye while bb had nothing teasing it nothing in the show that actually hinted at it ( you have to wear shipping goggles to see what you want to see in order to find anything and then claim its subtle coming up headcanons or reading what you want to see in scenes )  you could have just went with freezerburn  if lgbt rep was your argument but I guess it was more I  want this specific ship if anything )

its annoying that  people acting like crwby stated a member of team rwby was lgbt when they said there will be lgbt characters it wasnt a promise that  

a 2 member of team rwby to be lgbt relationship  

lets say bb was hte only same sex ship involving a mc ( which is both rwby and jnpr)  Iwould still say bb shouldnt have happened  even if it meant there isnt any same sex ships involving two members of team rwby 

because I put good writing over the rep ( If there is a same sex ship I put the same expectations I would for a het ship if say sun and yangs genders were swapped from the start I still wouldnt like what they did with blacksun ( and would be annoyed if in a rwby remake  where blacksun does happen sun is genderswapped to be a man. ( lets be real here I feel like the people who go you would have seen it if bb was a m/f ship you are only calling  it forced because it was a same sex ship are projecting since they called blacksun forced because it was a het ship and constantly tried to downplay blacksun in bbs favor because blacksun was a het ship not to mention seeing evidence where there was none and bending over backwards to try and claim something was a hint   not to mention attacking sun for being a man who gets in the way which ticks me off 

if it was planned from the start why was it done so badly at that point they should ahve just changed direction which would be what I would tell the writers of how i met your mother ( they for years had a specific ending in mind but the characters grew past that ending  so it felt like character backtrack)

 I care about the lgbt community but that doesnt mean I have to ship a same sex ship or  in a scenario where I get to make blacksun canon I have to genderswap sun   

 so there will still be at least one of team rwby in a same sex ship )  truth be told in a rwby remake if in the original weiss x neptune did happen which would be annoying since the ship doesnt have anything  while blacksun did   I would make freezerburn happen in the rwby remake if some different ship happened I would have to think about what to do 

 I remember when I first  startedwatching rwby my attitude with white rose and bb was they look interesting with blake and yangs color theme etc  but then I changed focus when blacksun got years of teasing etc while bb got nothing ( the romantic hints werent subtle they were nonexistent  the focus on sun seeing blake crying over yang isnt a realization that blake has feelings for yang its a blake is really upset about it which led to him going after her

Ruby looked out from her balcony and sighed, wishing she could see Cinder again. There was just something captivating about those golden eyes...

Ruby practically shrieked as a small pebble hit the banister. She looked over, watching Cinder unpack a guitar. “Cinder? Is that really you?”

Cinder smiled and nodded. “I hope you dont mind, but I wrote a song for you and I couldn’t wait to play it.”

“I’d love to hear it.”

Cinder finished getting set up and started playing her song. Ruby listened to each word as Cinder spoke, wishing their families could set aside their differences.
