thoughts on clark kent

before I dive in, I'm posting this here because I plan to write it myself so please note that this is MY original intellectual property and I'm just posting this to gauge interest in this fic idea, not to give the idea to someone else. ok? aight cool

I've been thinking about it as I create a list of different fanfics I want to write (the list is at like 47 right now dude...)

Clark Kent tends to hold himself back in a lot of ways, especially with romantic partners (think Smallville s7ep7 "Wrath" where Lana gets Kryptonian powers and the two of them cause seismic tremors throughout the town... hashtag need that NYYYYOWWW anyway)

so what if there were a version of Smallville where there was another alien ship that had crashed on the day of the meteor shower? maybe a little baby Tamaranean princess (somehow related to Starfire/Blackfire, not sure how yet), and she grows up to be Clark's soulmate instead... I want to explore what it would be like for Clark to be uninhibited in more ways, since I feel like he's always scared of being too much (too alien, too different, too much drama with saving the world all the time)

Natsuyuu Anime S7EP7 VS Manga Vol24 Ch.95-96

Since two chapters of the manga were crammed into one episode of the anime, a lot of dialogue was omitted this time. Even their speaking speed has gotten faster and it's hard for me to compare sentence by sentence, so this is still a rough summary.

Natsume's introduction to Taki at the beginning was deleted. And because there's Sasada in anime (although she still only lives in the OP), anime Taki didn't have a sense of distance from the people around her.

Deleted Nishimura's description of the so-called boyfriend as "a handsome guy we've never seen before". And Nishimura in anime didn't ask Natsume if he had seen that 'boyfriend' before.

This entire page has been deleted except for Taki in the middle. I personally feel that this is a pity. After all, this page expressed that in the manga, Natsume wanted to do something for Taki, and was also worried about how distant a friend he was to Taki (seeing from the fact that he worried that Tanuma knew but he didn't, he is afraid of being excluded as a friend)

Anime deleted Taki stood up, sat back and sighed again.

Missing the "meticulous" description of Isamu and "liked Youkai" of grandfather . Anime also deleted Natsume's thought about how even real families may not get along well. In addition, the content about Isamu coming home late after school and going to college had completely disappeared.

Deleted Taki's discomfort (with her brother's immediate departure shortly after his return)

Manga is "strangely inconsistent"(妙な違和感かある) Animation is "it seems strange"(気になること) Also deleted was Natsume's thought that Taki rarely talked about her own affairs and he hoped to be helpful, so in manga Natsume asked about her brother's personality.

In anime, the part with "Taki saying she could go back and ask for the reason but couldn't, so Sensei suggesting Natsume ask on her behalf" moved forward a little.

Deleted the scene where Natsume observed Isamu as he entered the house.

The dialogue where Isamu talked about his grandfather and sister has been moved to the front

Rumors about Youkai were simplified in anime.

Anime deleted Isamu's statement that he couldn't get in between his grandfather and his sister because he absolutely didn't believe in Youkai.

Deleted the dialogue where Taki said that her brother kept coming home and going out again

The old notebook became the childhood notebook.

Deleted Isamu said "It's not to avoid you"

Anime deleted Sensei saying that he had roughly heard the content outside the tent. Regarding Isamu, anime Sensei directly said, "That guy's physique makes it easy for Youkai to haunt him" (this fact is only revealed almost at the end of manga), while in manga, he said, "He always walks around in strange places, and that's why he haunted by Youkai."

Anime moved the keyhole scene to the front of Isamu hugging Sensei.

In manga, Natsume directly stated the differences between Taki's family, while in anime, Natsume simply stated even as a family, everyone is still so different.

Anime deleted Taki's statement that when her brother grew up, only she and her grandfather were left.

Anime deleted Taki's words about wanting to stay in this house, which she thought were words only a child would say.

Anime deleted the process of Natsume and Taki looking for the keyhole, and Taki wanted some time to think about the key.

Anime deleted the scene with Natsume and Isamu discussing where the key might be. Almost the entire page above was deleted. Isamu in manga already remembered that someone gave him the key.

Anime deleted Taki's apology for saving her and asking them if they were okay.

Deleted little Isamu saying "I'm sorry grandpa, I can't find the real one..."

Anime deleted the dialogue about Taki having cursed energy(術力) even though she cannot see Youkai. Then manga explained Isamu's physique was prone to being haunted by Youkai.

A mini comic based on s7ep7 Parental Glideance (as a sort of after ep comic) because I got inspired when I saw a post mentioning that some people use this ep against appledash….and it inspired me to make this bc (…well idk how to really explain it) they're not the same but they're similar, so they tend to understanding each other easily and it's why they work so well together.

Scootaloo means well but it's hard for her to see the gray areas between rainbow and her parents, and rainbow really doesn't know how to explain it (and I think a lot of us with overprotective parents can understand that feeling) and AJ would feel like a good parallel to scootaloo as someone with a similar experience of missing their parents but older.

Natsume yuujinchou s7ep7:

I think it's so funny that natsume was trying to psych himself up to meet isuma but couldn't quite figure out his personality based on what taki kept telling him. he was like "so he's cool and collected??" "he's intense??" "he's aloof and serious???" and then you have the reveal and natsume is left staring down (literally) at this baby faced 21/22 year old and his only thought is "oh. what a cutie."

So Buck and Christopher are hanging out. Eddie is going on a date with not his girlfriend, Kim.

But where is Tommy?

What if he also had the night off because an out of town friend is visiting him.

What if Tommy gets to do the awkward date interruption made a thousand times worse because he instantly figures out what is going on.

But Tommy only makes one subtle comment before leaving with his friend. But much like Chim he can't keep a secret from his partner so tells Buck.

Later Buck and Tommy have an intervention with Eddie.

Instead of splitting up all the villains across Japan, how come we couldn’t, oh I dunno, warp them all into the ocean? Surely some would eventually drown, yeah?

A whole six minutes of plan chatter and reoccurring scenes that we basically heard and seen all of already..

Ah, I forgot they had spare prosthetics prepared for Mirko whenever she needs them. Thank god.

Pfft seeing her argue with Bakugo in the middle of the battle.. they’re so in sync with their attitudes it’s hilarious.

“I want to be you. Let me suck your blood.” Hell nah. This girl is a fucking lunatic with the faces she makes.

Yikes, also forgot Ochako gets stabbed her too.

“Retrieve the knife. It’s got blood on it.” Luckily for you, there’s no blood to be seen on said knife the next time we get a glance at it, because it wasn't important enough to animate apparently.

I dunno why the feelings came to mind, but seeing Ochako chat away just makes me miss Noelle and Black Clover even more. Now that’s a female lead that kicks ass on a battlefield.
