15th Doctor Episode Rankings
Worst to Best SPOILERS
19) The Interstellar Song Contest:
Yay, torturing a genocide survivor is totally fun (/ sarcasm ). The way it parallels Israel-Gaza makes the whole thing feel icky. Making crying and singing the only acceptable forms of protest feels very much like “respectability politics”.Like he’s a genocide survivor, they saw what The Master did to their planet and how he fucked with the Bodies of her people and they write a story where he has no empathy for this? They felt what it would have been like if they had used The Moment. Why is none of that used for empathy instead of having The Doctor go from 0 to a 1,000. And by using the word triggered all I can do is ask about that therapy arc. You have no skills to deal with triggers? No counting what you see? No deep breathing? No mantras? No visualisation? I’m fine with Dark Doctor and threatening him is okay but going this far in a situation where he’s being paralleled with a real genocide is just Blech and makes me feel wrong. It's done so viscerally by showing the electrocution and The Doctor being so utterly callous and cruel about it. It just feels so wrong and feels like a backslide from where The Doctor is meant to be. Why does Belinda hug him? Like saying he scares her is good. But I think it would have been good if he had gone for a hug and she wouldn't have let him! There is just nothing to make it clear that The Doctor was wrong to do this and that The Doctor should be just as mad at what drove him to this point as he as it him for doing this. And why did this put ice in his heart over all the other harm they've seen? (2/10)
18) The Giggle:
If you know me, you know I'm the number one Giggle hater. I hate that Ncuti had to share his opening with David. It’s unfair and makes him feel like he isn’t regarded as much as his own Doctor. And then he doesn’t get his own TARDIS design. (And never got one now) And then I’m personally hurt by the dialogue 14 has in the garden with the Noble-Temple family. Like No! How dare you insinuate the rest of the companions aren’t family and that somehow this is the end goal of the past 60 years? It’s painful and insulting. So I want to cry angry tears watching this scene, so I will never be okay with it. Cracking the TARDIS in two is assault! She’s a living being. It's horrible she has a soul! Having the TARDIS have a ramp and then not having anyone in a chair/using other mobility aids go into the TARDIS is patronising. As someone who uses mobility aids. Also, making 15 run around dressed like that feels objectifying. (1/10)
17) The Reality War:
Oh, the many reasons! Belinda getting her timeline rewritten is misogyny and had her character sapped before that! She started out with so much conflict and willingness to question The Doctor but by ISC she wouldn’t even fight with him on torture. Look, I know she’s still a nurse and yes, she’s always been a caretaker and loved her parents but being a caretaker and being forced into the role of mother is different! She never said she wanted to be a mother; that is a different thing entirely from being a caretaker and family-oriented with her parents. Belinda agreed that Poppy should be saved, but not to have her whole timeline changed. She agreed to save Poppy, who was The Doctor’s daughter, not this new version of Poppy! She shouldn’t have been down to having been made into a mom without her consent in the first place, even if she was okay with saving a child.
In this episode, we had no Susan answers. We’ll never get Rogue back. No payoff to The Doctor’s darker actions from the previous episode. Omega not being anything like the Omega from the classic series. Killing the Rani played by a woman of colour and having her mean nothing. The stupid canon about fertility (why is everything about motherhood?). Implying The Doctor has never been a parent before when 10 has explicitly said he has been before and 12 has implied so with lines like “dad skills”. The Doctor just shoots the bad guy with what might as well be a gun. Why doesn’t The Doctor believe Ruby? He's seen timelines shift and people disappear before (Rory! Amy’s Parents! Themselves!) Then of course, the Sixteenth Doctor/Rose Tyler/Bad Wolf ending, Ugh. Ncuti’s acting was very good and it made the regeneration hurt but that wasn’t enough to clear away all of the problems with this episode. (3/10)
16) Empire of Death:
Just unsatisfying? Like I do enjoy Ruby’s reunification with her mom, it’s sweet. Ruby's leaving is a good scene. But Sutekh on the TARDIS all the time is dumb and The Doctor just taking him back to all the same places doesn’t make sense. Just tying him up like a dog is silly, but it doesn’t make me angry or anything.  Ruby being normal is okay in that I don't need her to be a god or something. But she needed to have done some kind of Timey Wimey thing that went back and maybe changed something that made her special? Like we have 73 yards that changed her going forward but did that make her “wrong” in the past (which Maestro says) and make her able to make it snow? Because that’s still not answered. It doesn’t explain the hidden song in her heart? I don’t know why any of that happens. And who is the mom pointing at, The Doctor? Why was the timeline able to shift during the time window? I'm fine with her mom being human but maybe have Ruby do something in the future that ripples back through time that changes things? Because “we just believed it so it’s special now” would mean that like most people, would have magic snow powers and Sutekh should want to know about most people? Like most people, are considered special by at least four people? (Carla, Cherry, Ruby, The Doctor). Just ~magic~ doesn’t cut it. Good fantasy stories have RULES. Also, why does The Doctor feel bad about feeling bad about killing Sutekh? We see The Doctor kill people who have done less before. (3/10)
15) Wish World:
I was mostly just baffled. I watched it and was mostly like I just don’t understand and it slightly affected my ability to feel super invested in everything that was going on. (5/10)
14) Lucky Day:
I like Conrad in concept but I just don’t think it totally works out the way they planned and it feels confused overall but I think the ideas are good. I think the way it's all set up and the way he manipulates Ruby is really good. I think Conrad is overall pretty interesting. I like the stuff with Ruby’s character overall. I think she’s done well here. But I can't stand the way they do UNIT dirty here. Why are they just DW SHIELD? It sucks so much it hurts. Why are they keeping aliens in UNIT tower now? Why are they having schoolchildren there? Why are they interviewing people now instead of choosing them like they used to? Why aren’t they mind-wiping the people they interview? They used to mind-wipe people who were manning doors! Why are they so public now? Why is it so easy to get into the building? Why did they not have better background research? Why is the security on their networks so bad? Why can they not block the streaming out of their building? This episode makes UNIT look ridiculous; they should not be portrayed in such a manner. (5/10)
13) Dot and Bubble:
I got it RTD. I watched it. It’s about racism, privilege and technology. They are so racist and insular that they kill themselves through self-delusions of power instead of taking help from a black man. But I really wasn’t impressed by it? I didn’t think it was that clever. I guess some people were so blindsided by the fact that it was about racism and felt like they had to be reflective about how they had never noticed racism. Which I guess okay? I just was like yes, racism is bad and those characters are ~evil~ but if all racism was as easy to spot as those people's racism, xenophobia and classism, it would be so easy to understand and break down. And it did have issues with a Black man feeling so sad and guilty about not being able to save racists like he shouldn’t have to! He should be able to say fuck them. Ncuti’s acting was still amazing and I feel his acting in my guts, it was so good. And all the acting, special effects and directing and make-up and set dressing and everything else was Amazing.   (5.5/10)
12) The Legend of Ruby Sunday:
Kind of boring? I do like some of the character moments between 15 & Kate and between 15 & Ruby. I like the time window as a concept; I think it’s neat. I enjoy the scene where 15 is really upset and Mel tells him to get his shit together. The reveal at the end was like ehhh. But it's not terrible and it's this episode's fault that the payoff is bad. (6/10)
11) Space Babies:
It isn’t that bad. It’s just not insulting to me. There isn’t anything in this episode that offends me in any particular way. I enjoy it fine. It’s slightly boring yes and the farting ship is stupid but it’s stupid in a Doctor Who-type way. It’s a terrible series opener but otherwise, it’s not that bad. Everyone should just lay off. The story is fine, Ncuti and Millie's acting is good, Ruby and 15 are both in decent form, I think it's good! The abortion allegory is a bit sloppy but I don't find it offensive. If there is deep prejudice or something I’m missing in the text, let me know.(6/10)
10) The Church on Ruby Road:
I had so much fun with it. I think it was a good introduction to Ruby. I think it had a good 15’s characterisation. Overall, I just enjoyed it and I loved the vocabulary of rope! However, I do find the “foundling” thing funny, yeah, you're an orphan but are you forgetting the whole medical abuse to the point of death your adoptive parent/culture put you through? Like, yes, you were an orphan but I’m pretty sure the terrible abuse and torture would have as much of an effect which makes your story and Ruby’s so very different.  (6.5/10)
9) 73 Yards:
I find this episode to be fancy like it’s done pretty well. I think there was a lot of thought and talent put into this. Millie put a lot of heart into this episode and I'm very impressed with her acting during this episode. I think there is a lot of work put in here. But I didn't think it was genius. I did feel like Ruby’s stuff was decent in the character department and I could feel where it was going. I didn't come out feeling way more connected to Ruby, though maybe it's a me problem, but the episode didn't make me feel like this whole new connection to Ruby; I felt distanced. The political stuff was boring. (6.5/10)
8) Lux:
I loved everything but the fourth wall break. The fourth wall break makes me very angry. But I've decided to just ignore it. If RTD can just forget bits of canon then I can too. Because every other part of this episode I enjoyed so much! I love Mr. Ring a Ding. He's freaking great and looks awesome and is so much fun to watch. I like the overall design and idea of everything. I like the aesthetic. I like the solution to everything being a sort of mercy is super cool. I like his little song. Just had such a good time. Kind of bad handling of racism as The Doctor just saying “I ignore it by being the best minority” is a little iffy though. (7/10)
7) Joy to The World:
Look, I actually had such a good time watching it. My family and I all came out feeling like we watched Doctor Who and it was all tied up. It was very Moffat. But I liked 11 & 12, so I didn't hate that. The stuff with Anita was so soft and lovely. Joy wasn’t an amazing protagonist, but I didn't hate her. The Time Hotel was a fantastic idea and I thought it was super clever and looked amazing. I love The Doctor just showing up to get milk for his tea/coffee. The other actors were very good. The Weapons Corp is a good recurring villain and I love that it’s tied back all the way to 2005 without it overpowering 15 as a character, as he was still the main point of the story. 15 was more important than Villengard. It was tied to Boom way more than anything ore 15. With Boom if you watched Boom you feel in on the idea but if you haven't seen Boom you still can enjoy it. So while it is a bit of a memberie type idea, it didn’t feel like it was trying to overpower who 15 is or his story as his arc was still the most important. And he actually had an arc during this episode! I love his little arc! I loved how he had to have some harsher and angstier stuff.  Overall, I felt very Doctor-y, and I'm fine with timey-wimey plots, so I had fun with it and I enjoyed the emotionality of it. I didn’t love Joy’s end, though; it felt a little close to suicide. which is why it couldn’t be an 8. (7/10)
6) The Devil’s Chord:
Overall pretty cool! I think it was creatively interesting and the acting was impressive. I enjoyed the enby rep! Villain panache was off the charts. The only part I didn't like was the song at the end. And of course, the fourth wall break going nowhere was a bit annoying but that’s an overall thing and not a problem by this episode alone. But re-watching this episode is always fun! (7/10)
5) The Robot Revolution:
I had a good time and I really liked Belinda in this episode. She had a good personality and her pushback against The Doctor had a good standout from other companions. I liked the aesthetic of everything on the planet and the Robots. The side characters were a bit flat but they served their function. Coercive control as a bad guy motivation is good and sets the tone for the season, which is good, but implying video games were a part is iffy as yes, video games are an in to the manosphere, but aren't like the crux of he problem. The Doctor being on the planet before the companion and having this long-term plan was cool. I liked the way he pulled Belinda through time; that was cool. The effects were also very neat. The reveal was a little boring as just "oh Earth is destroyed" did not have me as excited as just the idea of Belinda as a character and her possibly butting heads with The Doctor. I’m sorry we didn’t get as much of that as I hoped.  (8/10)
4) The Well:
The ambience is great, the costumes are cool, Aliss Fenly and Shaya Costallion both fit their parts very well and made the episode work pretty well. I liked having a deaf character actually played by a deaf actor! It did suck that the idea that every nurse knows sign language to the point that it’s like punishable if you don’t kind of implies sign language is just one thing everyone could know and not a group of languages? Not every sign language can be known by every nurse  (like how there is BSL & ASL). But it was still a good watch even if it really didn’t feel like it was the same entity as Midnight. It didn’t act like the Midnight Entity? Like, I know you can say it’s evolved over time so this is its new form, sure but I just didn’t really get the same vibes or ideas of both of them, except paranoia, which is just a common horror vibe. But damn was it a good Horror vibe. Overall, a good watch and felt very Doctor Who.  I want to watch again and look for the short moments when I can see the creature! And the ending of the thing getting off was pretty cool but I never want to see it again.
(8/10)
3) Rogue:
Had so much fun with this episode. Just such a good watch and felt so much Doctor Who vibes here. I loved it here. Rogue is such a good character here and I loved 15 getting to interact with him was such a good vibe. I think you get a moment of him having a darker thought here about wanting them to suffer makes more sense here than what you get in Interstellar Song Contest, as you don’t have the genocide survivor ick but you also have it be deeply reactive to them having killed his best friend. It’s still breaking his healed arc, but it makes more sense as a moment of backsliding. And it’s still much more of a typical “Doctor” response to banish a bad guy to another dimension than to just purely physically electrocute a person over and over again. The general set-up of this episode is very good. I love the running corridors, very cool alien design, spaceships, and future technology. The companion got to do something and I liked the interaction between The Doctor and Ruby at the end of the episode. His having to keep moving forward because grief is always there is pitch-perfect Doctor. Sucks we won’t get Rogue back from the hell. (9.5/10)
2) Boom:
Does this feel like it could be from the Moffat era [12/Clara] Maybe! But screw it I love Moffat era Who so I loved it. The kid actor was too old for the way she was written but otherwise, I really liked it. I thought Ncuti was fantastic as usual. Millie was very good and so was Varada. I loved the idea of him having to stay calm to be able to survive. I thought that was cool. I liked the anti-war commentary that’s Moffat’s bread and butter and I liked it. Is the Dad-to-Dad saving the day stuff cheesy, sure, but I thought it worked really well. It felt very connected to past Doctors: Viallanguard being 9, the president's wife being multiple Doctors, especially 12, and the fish sticks being 11, while not having to explicitly show flashback images to past Doctors. I thought it worked really well. I liked that Ruby and 15 were really key to the episode, as Ruby and 15 had to be in sync (music had just been important in the past episode). 15 wanted to protect Ruby but couldn't, which was good drama. The Doctor talking his way out of a bad place is also something I'm a sucker for. Anyway, I loved it. (9.5/10)
1 ) The Story & The Engine:
This was so creative! I loved how it was different while still feeling Doctor Who. Ncuti made every scene he was in work amazingly! The moment when he realised he had been brought in here and his friend was willing to be sold out because he had lost his home and family before this was so painful. Ariyon Bakare is an amazing actor, omg I loved him. The way this whole episode was styled was beautiful and immersive. I think the way he stopped it via him having so many stories within him, was so Doctor! He’s done similar when they tried to feed The Old god in The Rings of Akhaten or blow up The Matrix in The Timeless Children. I liked that there was a lot of emotionality here. I wish that it had been clear someone was watching the Barber because you can’t assume he’s all better now because he lost his weapon. It’s good that The Doctor saved him but you can’t assume people get better super fast just because you're given an option to get better. I think this was the best god and magic-oriented story we got because it treated the gods as just another being in the universe and not something uber special. The Fugitive!Doctor Cameo was confusing but I can get down with it.  Overall fuck it we ball with this story I loved it.(10/10)

TAROT INSPIRED POKEMON "The Lovers"
Picking up this series again with the intent to finish it. More art/info under the cut! (There's also a Youtube video if you'd prefer to hear me chat about 'em in my dulcet tones ❤)
________________________________________________________ A quick intro to this shindig: This project is about taking tarot cards (specifically the Major Arcana) and interpreting their meanings and symbolism into a Pokemon/Fakemon line. Today's Arcana is The Lovers! Based off of the Pamela Colman Smith art in the RWT, the card seems to play a lot off of Relationships and Duality:
Tumblr media
The artwork depicts several examples of """opposites""" at play: Masculine and Feminine (The two humans), Impulsivity and Deliberation (Tree of Life/Tree of Knowledge), Conscious and Subconscious (Humans/Angel; Earth/Heavens) These conflicts, these dual forces, are representative of our own struggles internally and externally: It's not that one side should win or reign over the other, but that Both can and should find Balance; Harmony. Balance your inner conflicts and stand firm on what you Will and Won't tolerate. With that in mind, I decided to take those notes and use the snake present in the scenario as base for the line: While this whole scene is a very apparent reference to the Garden of Eden, I wanted to play a more sympathetic angle for the line since we already have a few more "villainous" serpents in the canon Pokedex.
Tumblr media
Panaceasp (Panacea + Asp) JP: Hebii (蛇 (へび; Hebi; Snake) + 医 (い; I; Doctor)
Our first stage takes inspiration from the Rod of Asclepius: The motif of opposing forces works really well when we apply it to Medicine, since "the dose makes the poison", and Grass and Poison often represent Healing and Withering respectively. The intention with this one was to portray a creature out of balance: Its pose is errant and unevenly wound around its mobility aid, with one eye open and the other shut.
Tumblr media
For Moveset: This little guy gets a signature move! Painkiller is, for all intents and purposes, a Poison type version of Pollen Puff: Damages opponents, heals allies in a Double battle. Beyond that, Panaceasp mixes strong attacking options with a bunch of useful Status moves, capable of inflicting Confusion, Toxic, and Paralysis while also keeping its own teammates healthy and status free. When traded to another player with High Friendship, Panaceasp evolves into:
Tumblr media
Emissymm (Emissary + Symmetry) JP: Shishatai (使者 (ししゃ; Shisha; Envoy/Emissary) + 対 (たい; Tai- from 対称; たいしょう; Symmetry/Second Person)
The final stage of this line takes us from Asclepius to Hermes; from Rod to Caduceus; from Cane to Crook (or crozier!) Unlike the rod of asclepius, the caduceus is used erroneously as a symbol of medicine and healthcare. It is actually more a symbol of negotiation, used to represent commerce and trade more appropriately than medicine. According to Greek myth however, the staff of hermes was said to possess the ability to revive the dead and bring the dying a gentle repose, so it's a tangential fit for the initial medicine theme. More importantly, the caduceus is also a great symbol for balance and harmony; It's even featured on the Two of Cups Minor Arcana, which shares quite a few themes the Lovers as a whole! In this case we're presenting it as a two-headed winged serpent, where it relies on being "fully balanced" to even function properly.
Tumblr media
Regarding its Moveset, we expand and replace a couple of its Level-Up options: Upon evolving it loses Shed Tail in exchange for Pain Split, and nabs some tasty new support options like Revival Blessing, Perish Song, and Wide Guard. While you have Leaf Storm + Contrary to take on a more sweeper-type role, there's some fun cheese to be had with the ability otherwise: Skill Swap contrary to a teammate and boost them with Strength Sap (or Feather Dance), run Scale Shot for a Trick Room team, etc. Beyond its moves, Emissymm replaces Shed Skin for Synchronize: Not the best ability trade-off, but since you're immune to Poison/Toxic, being able to threaten the return of a Burn or Paralysis is a decent defensive option to have in your pocket. Its Liquid Ooze ability also becomes a bit of a cheeky joke, as the caduceus is also used to represent the element Mercury, which is quite poisonous to ingest. (This is also why Emissymm gets access to Steel-type coverage à la Flash Cannon!)
Tumblr media
Finally, a full-body view of the shiny palettes. Since I took some inspiration from alchemy regarding Emissymm's biology, I thought I could bring it all back around by going with a White/Red colour scheme, in reference to Rebis, or "Dual Matter"; The union of the Red King and White Queen; The ultimate reconciliation of opposing energies. Anyhow! That's it for now. I'm thinking of taking a swing at Strength next, but I suppose we'll see!

Domesticated crops! (and secret not-plants)
Tumblr media
This post is more for me and actually putting to paper the things that the Bolur species would eat. I had more fun than I thought I would've.
cw? tw? for unsanitary mentions sorta
Going from top-to-right,
Land Barnacles
Tumblr media
Exactly what they sound like. Did you know that Earth barnacles are arthropods? That they're crustaceans? I got inspo from that. Juveniles, like Earth barnacles, are mobile and have very inefficient, blanket-y wings that they will use to one day cement themselves onto the ground, hopefully next to another one of their barnacle colleagues for reproductive purposes. Their abdomens are actually folded so that their anuses are right next to their mouths, because like an aphid, they have a very sugary, liquidy waste that (alongside their floral-looking heads) brings in a lot of bugs for them to eat! When bugs try to feed on their waste, they use the remnants of their tube feet to grab them and eat them.
Zebrapeople cultivate land barnacles in order to drill holes right into their abdomens and harvest their honeydew sewage. It's like a gross version of drilling holes in maple trees for maple syrup. I imagine they view it kind of like hot dogs, so tasty but so grossly made...
Floor Climbers
Tumblr media
They're these kind of "flatworms" that eat underwater plant growths and store them in their skin to be able to photosynthesize for themselves. Their blankety backsides is the part of them with the most, so they evolved to completely have that part of them be a solar panel blanket and just walk with their front.... well, they never had legs, but they now have "legs." They're handstanding everywhere
They're invasive little shits that reproduce like rabbits. They're introduced to small, usually music man-made bodies of water in order for them to completely take over, and for the music men to harvest. They're really chewy and savory if you cook them right. Might be a little poisonous if you undercook them, so it's better to burn your climbers than have them medium rare.
Bucca
Tumblr media
THATS TUBER, BABY
They evolved that Phat Root in order to anchor themselves in the water. They have flowers at the base of their main stem for bugs that walk on water to pollinate, and to make sure they don't move around too much, their stem and leaves became super aerodynamic to the point it looks like a big red feather coming out of the water.
Amber Tree
Tumblr media
MISNOMER. NOT A TREE. LAND CORAL! Sometimes called "cow sails" from the way its topmost "branches" and leaves just hang down over everything like a debu's sail does. Since its branches are thin, its limestone outer layer is at risk of breaking a lot, so it evolved this really thick sap so bugs don't try and take advantage of its downfall.
Except, well, Debu took advantage of its sap. It's a cash crop! Badlands Debu harvest its super thick, fast drying sap to kind of make instant-amber, dipping various things in it to make jewlery. Things like...
Thansum
Tumblr media
Imagine if a sunflower, when it got pollinated, became a giant dandelion. That's thansum, the complimentary Debu cash crop to amber trees, which is the most popular thing to dip in its amber. But it's not just a Debu cash crop, it's also used to make paper and cloth for zebrapeople, mostly zebraelves. They crush its seedlings up and add water to make a thansum-meal out of it - if they use more seedling and dry it, it becomes paper. If they use more fluff, then it becomes cloth! Or they can eat thansum-meal straight up if they're desperate. It's not poisonous, but it's a very sad meal, don't eat thansum-meal
Spittle Berries
Tumblr media
So, i've been excited to talk about this, because lemme tell you the more popular way that Bolur plants reproduce. Spittle berries are fruits, they are Bolur fruits, but bolur fruits are special - they are the flower, the leaf, and the fruit all at once. The method is that fruits are made through leaves, leaves that're inflated full of gametes covered in a soft shell (think like a pomegranate seed) and fruit "meat", which in turn also colors them a striking (ususally cool) color. When something eats a Bolur fruit, the soft shell that their sperm and eggs were covered in gets dissolved and they meet up together in the stomach. The gametes themselves are made of some gross, hard-to-digest material so that they remain unharmed, and so that they can become embryos by the time whatever ate it passes them through their system, right into some fresh fertilizer that they can grow out of. Spittle berries are the least interesting fruit in that it's just a fruit, but they're a perfect introductory fruit for the weirder ones, like:
Seeing-Squash
Tumblr media
The only fruit actively being selected for cuteness! It's also a debu specific - the squash evolved to be eaten specifically by mountain cows since the shell their gametes are covered in are too tough to be digested by most other animal. So if a zebraperson wants to eat, they might want to take those out lest those bigass "seed" gametes gives them blockage.
It's less cuteness, but more "liveliness," if that makes any sense? Looking more and more like a little animal, a little dude. The eyes are getting bigger and the originally modest striping is becoming more exaggerated to look like a spitting monkey.
And finally,
Bempo
Tumblr media
The only plant here to have a skeleton. It's the "shrub" version of a land coral where its base will have a dense limestone skeleton for its photosynthetic parts to pop out of, and soft pith to be protected underneath. Bempo actually takes forever to grow, because it takes years for it to build up its "pyramid" base. But when it does, then you are set, because fruit-bearing coral-shrubs like bempo have the shortest growth times for its fruit to the point where you can watch and hear the growth of its giant fruit plates that adorn the top of its base.
Those fruit plates also have a skeleton of their own, but it's only a single "bone," like if a plant had a baculum for its fruit.

Wow I’m so surprised NetEase’s greed ran DBD Mobile into the ground. Shocked, absolutely bewildered I tell you. I would never have guessed this would happen. Never saw it coming.
(Because this is written text I’ll outright state that yes I’m dropping a dump truck’s load of sarcasm right there)
Take it from someone who doesn’t bitch and moan about every little thing in DBD (I love DBD, it’s very dear to me): This was bound to happen and the red flags were there as soon as NetEase’s version launched. BHVR made an incredibly huge lazy mistake by handing DBDM over to NetEase because NetEase is a glorified gambling company with a horrendous track record. Hopefully this will make other devs/companies wary and they’ll think better than to let NetEase’s greasy hands get ahold of their games. I dropped DBDM very shortly after NetEase took over because the stench of bullshit was overwhelming. Gambling and sapping real money from players got forced into every little thing NetEase could squeeze it into. At least when I play actual DBD I won’t have to look at those fugly-ass gacha cosmetics. I’ll take the stupid pink elephant clown and a herd of highlighter-headed survivors over “dear god they dragged it through Identity V and Genshin Impact” any damn day.
Sure regular DBD is still riddled with flaws and is backing itself into a corner where new players are soft locked from advancing in the game without opening their wallets… but hey, at least it’s actually Dead By Daylight and not an Identity V clone with DBD branding.

Much like everyday this past month Dude wakes up to the shaking of his trailer. Premade human noises rattling through the air, his own special alarm clock. Dude particularly pleased with his human emulation of his true voice, not a perfect match, but close enough. Unlike the poor human sap reading this he is blessed enough not to wake up drenched in his own sweat, instead he wakes up to the top mucus covered layer of skin that had regenerated itself through the night sticking to his sheets. Assimilating to human culture be damned beds are comfortable despite not being what he's used to.
The thing he thinks of as being a human bed being more similar to a gel memory pad suspended by all four corners from the ceiling. It would be quite wobbly if not for the fact that the pad is made of a slightly adhesive sort of gel that sticks to the secretions of his skin. Pealing himself off of the sticky mat his feet hit a few Fleebo wrappers, trashBot will get it eventually….or Champ. Even though he knows the components internally are not the same as the decorative human A/C on the outside of his mobile home he likes to imagine they are one in the same. Slicking back his antennae into his spiny hair he concentrates on the color change of his skin patches to go from green to something a bit more human, which is just a slightly different shade of green.
To go out he puts on his voice modulator under his coat and puts on his shades before heading out the door. Every week he has his weekly calendar update as to upkeep his human persona, which means a few public appearances weekly no matter how badly he'd like to stay in bed all day and smoke, the metallic inner walls of his abode stained in every hue of the rainbow. Today he must go fetch milk so the public doesn't assume him dead, not that he can even consume this version of it, although he much prefers his ice cream along with his homeworlds version of milk, grilk. Instead of going to the Walmart that's a twenty minute walk, albeit with cheaper prices, he chooses the five minute walk to his nearest Chevron. Not that his currency really means anything to the locals here, he had to study their coins really hard to code for his currency to look like them.
So many grooves in a coin, he prefers the flatness of paper money for this reason. The milk here is more expensive, but why? He starts to tilt the milk around, sloshing it in it's container before the cashier tells him to stop fucking around or get lost. He pays for his milk, but not before an interesting human catches his eye..

Tumblr media
Do you think love can bloom even despite Greg Farshtey if we don't have mouths between two sets 15 years apart?
so a friend got me a g2 Kopaka--
Mata Pohatu was a gift from my beloved beautiful chum @cantankerouscanuck and when i went to pick up my other boy my friend n i ended up doin a lil photoshoot at their house bc i couldnt resist trying to make them kiss, which was Fucking Hard due to the mata build's terrible posability but thank god Pohatu's got at least one loose leg and Kopaka has many more joints and is so stable. homeboy was holding this whole thing together all by himself like the gallant gentleman he is
my only regret is not having a proper camera with cool lenses and all to properly devote an insane amount of effort to this stupid thing... have a documentation of our tribulations under the cut instead XD
first problem we incurred in (aside from my shaky ass hands making some pictures blurry) was the height difference.
Tumblr media
it doesnt look terrible bc kopakas got his knees bent in the photo but effectively the only way pohatu got to his face was by standing on his tippy toes, and while his steel toed boots did give him the added cms necessary they did NOT let him stand on his own, so either we held him up or he fell over even when propped against a wall. we tried pinning him to the wall with kopaka but he still slipped so both cute ideas had to go down the drain
(we also tried a classic kabedon pose but kopakas fucking pauldrons SUCK for arm mobility so tragically, that was also scrapped)
the good news was however that they COULD hold hands! sorta. kinda. im still counting it. the mata hands have axels for fingers, so they fit snugly in the handpieces the 2015 gang has :)
Tumblr media
only problem with it is that
Tumblr media
straight in the tits.
(me trying to browse a tag in peace but overly horny fanart pops up)
BUT ANYWAYS. the hand holding did provide some stability and so we started trying out poses by seeing how far we could tilt pohatu while keeping him standing - this because he has another problem, that being that his head bobs up and down with no way to keep it up or down on its own, so we had to work with gravity
Tumblr media
came out a lil foreboding, like kopaka is threatening him. but we're getting closer!
thankfully me being a big ol sap helped in figuring out how to make the whole thing more tender bc i love that shit. so we decided to push pohatu's loose leg out to balance him and one of his arms up, like he was reaching for kopaka's mask, which was also very good bc kopaka's hand lodged itself right between pohatu's tiny elbow and hip so he looked like he was wrapping it around his waist. then we adjusted them a lil bit, teaked them here n there, and
Tumblr media
OH YEAH.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
OH YEAH BABY WERE GETTING SOMEWHERE NOW
we had to uh. briefly stop. and laugh really hard for a second bc pohatus entire head fell off. i dont have photos for that but it was so sudden and unexpected that we had a fit of hysteric giggles
as you can see however, their faces are Not touching. this is due to the aforementioned problem with the Mata neck, plus the fact that kopaka couldn't bend further down to close the gap on his own, though tbf cut him some slack hes already holding the both of them up as best as he can
so we meddled a lil bit to pull pohatu more upright and strengthen kopakas pose so they wouldnt topple over, considered a maskless version, scrapped it bc they looked VERY silly, and THEN. AT LAST
Tumblr media
THE ELUSIVE BONKLE KISS..........
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
from as many angles n lightings as possible bc im Unwell
AND a cool version from the hand-holding side bc the transpieces look great and i find it very sweet :)
Tumblr media
but yeah that was a fun time :D it was great and the lads have been untangled and retired on a shelf where theyll stay nice and tight hehe
hope yall enjoyed these, they were great fun to make and i think they came out really well despite my shitty hands and cameras. maybe ill do more or not, who knows ahah wait what was that.
that sound... its like. plastic smacking plastic... to mimic kissing...
you dont think... the bionicles... they couldnt... no...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh... oh good heavens. oh theyre canoodling in there

I’ve been thinking about tf2 and genshin impact lately and decided to assign some genshin characters tf2 mains, along with a few tf2 related headcanons
So here are some of my ideas in a pretty lengthy text post
Also note: some of these might be kinda ooc or like me accidentally misinterpreting someone. In which I am very sorry I haven’t touched genshin in a really long time D:
List is organized in who I think is the most accurate to least accurate
Alhaitham
- Sniper main
- Would be drawn to sniper’s simple playstyle. For the most part, all you need to play sniper is to be able to click on moving targets.
- No cosmetics, or strange weapons. Just stock and probably F2P.
- Doesn’t have in-game chat or voice chat on.
- Accidentally pubstomps and because he doesn’t talk in chat or have any hats, gets kicked for people believing he’s either a cheater or bot.
- Loadout: full stock
Cyno
- Scout main
- Would enjoy scout’s simple hit-and-run playstyle. A powerful—albeit fragile—mobile class, which basically allows him to run around the map and pick his fights.
- Probably has a full strange loadout, along with an unusual hat and australium scattergun that he adores. There probably a few taunts in his inventory as well.
- Can absolutely pubstomp games, and plays for a sixes team.
- Uses a minimal hud.
- Loadout: full stock, australium scattergun
Tighnari
- Medic main
- Would join a match, see that the team has zero medics, and decide to be that medic.
- Doesn’t really care for hats. Cyno has probably gifted him a few though.
- Plays the game casually for the most part. Sometimes subs in if Cyno’s medic player can’t play though.
- Uses an improved version of the default hud.
- Loadout: crusader’s crossbow, quick-fix, solemn-vow
Kaveh
- Engineer main
- Would enjoy engineer’s supportive playstyle, along with how he can be more aggressive if he needs to be.
- Has probably bought a hat or two, maybe even a taunt. Not much, but something he likes.
- Everytime his nest gets taken down or just any of his buildings get sapped and destroyed, a small piece of him dies inside.
- Has made his very own hud and uses it.
- Loadout: rescue ranger/panic attack, pistol/wrangler, wrench
Klee
- Pyro main
- As much as I wanted to say that she would be a demoman main, I just know deep down she would be a pyro main. Simple and easy to pick up playstyle, along with just me thinking she would really like pyro as a character.
- Had Kaeya buy her a lollichop. Happily wears her gibus and absolutely adores her rainblower that she got from a random drop.
- LOVES the pyroland effect. The first time she played with it she had the most fun, burning her enemies with literal rainbows.
- Like friendlies and joins them most of the time.
- Loadout: rainblower, scorch shot, lollichop
Childe / Tartaglia
- Demoman / Soldier main
- Considering how much he likes fighting, it probably shouldn’t be a surprise that he’d most likely main the classes that can dish out the most damage.
- Doesn’t really care for hats. But he probably had bought strange weapons just to track kills. Could buy an australium but finds them kind of gaudy.
- Plays in both highlander and sixes. Likes to mainly play in casual but sometimes joins on uncletopia.
- The classes he has the most trouble playing besides medic is spy.
- Has optimized has graphics in order to get as much fps as possible. To the point where if you just looked at his gameplay you could mistake him as a spy main.
- Soldier loadout: rocket launcher / original, gunboats, escape plan
- Demoman loadout: full stock
Itto
- Scout main
- Itto just found him cool and wanted to main him. That’s just it.
- F2P, and mostly relies on item drops and crafting to get new stuff. But he does get a lot of stuff from his friend (I wonder who that could be…)
- Leader of the Arataki Gang, an amateur sixes team.
- Plays on uncletopia to try and better his gameplay, but also enjoys playing in random community servers
- Loadout: scattergun, winger, holy mackerel
Hu Tao
- Spy main
- Mainly plays spy to do stuff like scaring engineers and backcap points.
- Has only spent money on taunts, like the boxtrot.
- Generally messes around on casual and community servers.
- One of her favorite things to do is spam voicelines around engineers to make them paranoid.
- Loadout: L’Etranger, Clock and dagger, Knife
Diluc
- Heavy main
- Honestly idk for this one. I wanted a heavy main and Diluc just kinda has the vibe.
- Bought a key and a crate and unboxed a hat. Doesn’t really care much for the economy, just likes playing the game.
- Has the absolute easiest time flanking as heavy. Doesn’t matter which map, apparently everyone he plays against plays the game on silent with no monitor because he can just walk into their backlines.
- Used to play highlander, but eventually lost interest and just plays casually. Can pubstomp if he wants to though.
- Loadout: Tomislav, sandvich, fists
Dori
- Spy main
- Doesn’t even really play the game, only there for the economy.
- Has a ton of unusual hats and taunts. Probably has a golden pan or two.
- Has been banned from a few trade servers for “scamming”.

Ask 001, for two ships:
Ed/Winry
Mikazuki/Atra/Kudelia
For this ask game.
Ed/Winry (Fullmetal Alchemist)
when I started shipping it if I did:
So, the thing about me and shipping is that I don't do it much, or didn't for the longest time. I just didn't come into fandom via that avenue, which is why most of the relationships I have written are fairly solidly the canon ones. So the honest answer is, when FMA!2003 did.
my thoughts:
Again, to caveat: I've a bigger soft spot for the 2003 anime adaptation than I do the manga (Brotherhood I don't count at all). So my baseline is an anaemic version of Ed and Winry's 'intended' relationship. But I've always liked that 2003!Winry gets to be a proactive part of the goings-on, and her friendship with Sheska, and I like the sense of the person she is come Conqueror of Shambala. Similarly, I could always think of more to do with the broken version of Ed that ends the anime. He's a quieter, gentler character than his manga counterpart and I think that's why what I ended up writing for them coming together at last was almost a sigh of relief. It's not a deeply complicated relationship, they just share a lot of friendship, mutual attraction and feel safe in each other's company. It's hardly the romance of the century but then they're neither of them especially romantic people.
What makes me happy about them:
That they're prodigies in completely separate fields, who dazzle the socks off the people around them smart enough to know what they're doing, who're nevertheless hopeless dorks on a personal level and will, with perfect hypocrisy, call each other out for being so. Also, there is nothing quite like sticking Ed in a room with the auto-mail people who fawn over Winry's genius. It's the perfect collision of 'my girlfriend is so cool' and 'I haven't a fucking clue what these people are talking about and this is a scary new experience.'
What makes me sad about them:
Probably the fact that I can't imagine them ever losing the compartmentalisation in their lives. For both of them, there are areas that the other just Will Not Get, no matter how long they're together.
things done in fanfic that annoys me:
Not directly related to Ed or Winry but I kind of don't like it when people pair Winry with Al as a means of freeing up Ed for another relationship. That's never worked for me, with their personalities.
things I look for in fanfic:
It's been years since I read FMA fanfic regularly. But I think it'd be people leaning into them both being bloody knowledgeable, bloody-minded people and also Winry's lock-picking skills.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
Winry and Paninya, naturally. Ed . . . genuinely I'm not sure I'd pair him with anyone else. I read him as being fairly slow to form attraction to people and I'm too much of a Mustang/Hawkeye sap to go for the obvious choice. (I never did get to explore it much but in my fics, Russell Tringham is very much fuck why are you hot about Ed but that was entirely one-sided. Still, that could be funny.)
My happily ever after for them:
Winry is a fabulously rich and renowned auto-mail mechanic and Ed helps by coming up with ever-better materials for her to work with.
who is the big spoon/little spoon:
Tumblr media
(They switch and try very hard to avoid auto-mail-induced bruises.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity:
I reckon they make for a very sweet pair of sappy nerds reading on a sofa together, off in their own separate worlds but sprawled over each other.
Mikazuki/Atra/Kudelia (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans)
when I started shipping it if I did:
Roughly two seconds after Atra did in-canon.
my thoughts:
OK, look, do you have any idea how refreshing it is to have a show eject love-triangle/pining nonsense in favour of explicit, no-holds-barred polyamory? Like -- push all the male-power-fantasy stuff aside for a moment and try to remember the last time you saw a character respond to nascent 'oh no my crush is talking to someone attractive' with 'but actually there's a way this can work out where everyone's happy', and then proceed to symbolically marry the three of them together? I love Atra so much.
I love how it plays with those power fantasy tropes, too, because you have to remember Mika isn't actually one of those, he's gradual decay dressed up to look like a power fantasy in certain lights. He doesn't just passively collect two girlfriends. He's the one who comes on to Kudelia (with a customary lack of manners) and repeatedly shows warmth and care towards Atra. Likewise, Atra is pushing them all together every way she can, having learned from the Turbines that it's possible to have that kind of family and determined to make it work. Kudelia meanwhile . . . well, Kudelia has no idea what's going on but these are her two favourite people in the world now.
None of this is one-sided, or 'just because'; they each have reasons to care about the others and they respect each other enormously, and it's all jumbled up with the immense pressures they're all suffering under. It's lovely.
What makes me happy about them:
All of the above but also that it's so very . . . not a big deal. It's good for them, they make each other happy, and it's very easy to imagine them just chilling together doing normal stuff. In the middle of everything, I think that was the perfect choice for this kind of relationship, for how it throws the rest into sharp relief.
What makes me sad about them:
Well. This story is a tragedy so no way was it ending well. And I wouldn't change that. That's too much the point. Mikazuki was always going to let go his happiness for the sake of following Orga and there was nothing either of the other two could do to hold on to him.
things done in fanfic that annoys me:
Bearing in mind that I regard Orga Itsuki as the most asexual man on Mars, I don't have a problem with Mika/Orga as a pairing. But I've read at least one fic that got on my nerves by too readily detaching Mika from Atra and Kudelia to make it work. It also gave Atra this long speech about how terrible it was for her to try to hold on to him by getting pregnant, that was clearly expressing the author's bugbear with what is, in-story, an act of desperation at a point where Mika is loudly committing to fighting 'til he's dead on account of his increasing disability (can we please not cram the literal child soldiers into some drive to acknowledge 'problematic' behaviour, they have enough going on already, thank you). BUT ANYWAY, my point is, it's not like you can't easily fold Orga into this relationship. If he wants to be Mika's wife too, that's fine.
things I look for in fanfic:
More IBO fanfic generally.
I mean, probably the fact Mika is a lazy bum who needs to be nagged into helping with the chores he doesn't like, Atra is a walking ray of sunshine who can handle the most cripplingly dark shit like it's nothing, and Kudelia blushes like a tomato over intimate stuff.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
Well canonically --
The legal team has informed me this is the kind of behaviour that will get my kneecaps turned into castanets so --
Mika is surprisingly easy to picture shacking up with virtually anyone (he's like Shino in that regard), but the right answer is Hush. Just your average disabled mobile suit pilot and his service dog.
Kudelia . . . honestly, there is something in the idea of her and Orga as a couple, given the few times they get to work in sync on-screen.
And Atra . . . hmm. No one person per se but she'd fit right in, working with the Turbines.
My happily ever after for them:
Mika and Atra run a farm while Kudelia commutes to her job taking down the government. Not that I'd change a thing about the actual ending, mind you.
who is the big spoon/little spoon:
Kudelia is the big spoon by default. I don't think she minds.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity:
Cooking together, eating together, bullying Mika into helping with the washing up together.

sap migration
Overview of SAP migration and its importance
SAP migration is the process of moving all or part of a company's SAP system from one environment to another. This can involve transferring data, applications, and configurations to a new hardware infrastructure or transitioning the system from an on-premises installation to the cloud. The importance of SAP migration cannot be overstated, as it enables organizations to take advantage of new technologies, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
One key benefit of SAP migration is the ability to leverage updated features and functionalities offered by newer versions of SAP software. As technology advances at a rapid pace, it is crucial for businesses to stay current in order to remain competitive. By migrating their SAP systems, companies can adopt new modules and tools that empower them with improved analytics capabilities, mobile functionality, and integration with other business applications.
Another significant advantage of SAP migration lies in its potential cost savings. Legacy systems require ongoing maintenance and support which incur high expenses over time. Migrating these systems onto modern platforms allows businesses to streamline processes and optimize resource utilization. Moreover, cloud-based migrations provide opportunities for pay-as-you-go models that eliminate upfront capital investments.
What is SAP migration?
SAP migration refers to the process of moving or transitioning data, applications, and other resources from one SAP system to another. As businesses grow and evolve, they may need to upgrade their existing SAP systems to newer versions or migrate their on-premise SAP solutions to cloud-based platforms. The goal of SAP migration is to ensure a seamless transfer of data and functionalities while minimizing disruption to business operations.
Tumblr media
One key aspect of SAP migration is the careful planning and preparation required before the actual transition takes place. This includes assessing the existing infrastructure, identifying dependencies, and designing a roadmap for the migration process. It is crucial for businesses to understand that successful SAP migration goes beyond simply transferring data; it involves optimizing processes, mitigating risks, and ensuring compatibility with other systems within the organization.
Another factor worth considering in SAP migration is choosing the right approach. There are various methodologies like greenfield, brownfield, or selective data transition that can be employed based on specific business requirements. Each approach offers unique benefits and challenges that should be evaluated beforehand. Ultimately, embracing modern technologies through effective SAP migration enables organizations to streamline their operations, improve efficiency, increase scalability, and gain a competitive edge in today's fast-paced business landscape
Reasons for SAP migration
Reasons for SAP migration are diverse and varied, but they all share a common goal: to enhance business efficiency and competitiveness. One major driver is the need for modernization. Many organizations still run on outdated legacy systems that struggle to keep up with the pace of technological advances. By migrating to SAP, businesses gain access to state-of-the-art software and tools that can streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve overall productivity.
Another compelling reason for SAP migration is the desire for integration. In today's interconnected world, siloed systems are simply not sufficient to meet the demands of complex business operations. SAP offers a comprehensive suite of applications that seamlessly integrate with each other as well as with third-party systems. This enables companies to consolidate their IT landscape, eliminate data inconsistencies, and enable real-time visibility into key business metrics across departments.
Additionally, cost savings play a significant role in driving organizations towards SAP migration. As businesses grow and scale, so do their IT needs. Maintaining multiple custom-built systems or disparate software solutions can be an expensive endeavor with high maintenance costs and licensing fees. By consolidating everything under one SAP umbrella, companies can achieve economies of scale while benefiting from regular updates and support from a single vendor.
Steps involved in SAP migration process
The process of SAP migration is a complex and critical task that requires careful planning and execution. The first step in this process is to conduct a thorough assessment of the existing system, including hardware, software, and data. This will help identify any gaps or issues that need to be addressed during the migration.
Once the assessment is complete, the next step involves creating a detailed migration plan. This plan should outline the sequence of tasks, resources required, and estimated timelines for each stage of the migration. It is important to involve key stakeholders from various departments to ensure smooth coordination and communication throughout the process.
Tumblr media
After finalizing the plan, it's time to prepare the new environment for SAP migration. This includes setting up hardware infrastructure, installing necessary software components, and configuring network connections. Data cleansing and transformation are also essential steps at this stage to ensure that only relevant data is migrated to avoid cluttering or overburdening the new system.
Best practices for successful SAP migration
1. Understanding the Complexity: One of the key best practices for a successful SAP migration is to thoroughly understand the complexity of the task at hand. Migrating an entire system can be a daunting process, and it's important to approach it with a clear plan and realistic expectations. This includes conducting a thorough audit of your current system, understanding its strengths and limitations, and identifying any potential challenges that may arise during migration.
2. Building a Comprehensive Timeline: Another crucial aspect of successful SAP migration is creating a comprehensive timeline that outlines all necessary tasks and milestones. This ensures that everyone involved in the process has a clear understanding of their responsibilities and deadlines. It's important to factor in ample time for testing, troubleshooting, and training to minimize disruptions once the migration is complete.
3. Prioritizing Data Security: Data security should always be top priority when migrating an SAP system. Implementing stringent security measures throughout the entire migration process is vital to ensure that sensitive data remains confidential and protected from external threats. Additionally, having backup systems in place can help mitigate any potential loss or damage during the transition period.
By following these best practices, organizations can maximize their chances of executing a successful SAP migration while minimizing risks associated with data loss, downtime, or other unforeseen issues. With careful planning, adequate resources, and strong collaboration between all stakeholders involved, businesses can seamlessly transition to their new SAP environment without significant disruptions to daily operations.
Conclusion: Importance of proper planning and execution
