SPOILERS FOR THE OG GAME LESSONS 16-17

His whole hehe haha jokey thing when he flirts with MC? It's because he doesn't want to get too attached because they're MORTAL but he's so desperately in love with them that he'd do anything for them!!! We've seen it!!! This man would fight DEMONS more powerful than him and go up against ANYTHING just so you're safe!!! GRAHHHH that scene in Nightbringer when Belphie was like "I'm mad." and Solomon was like "And you think I'm not?" FUCK THAT LIVES RENT FREE IN MY MIND I THINK ABOUT IT SO MUCH. Actions speak louder than words!!

He's had multiple nightmares about losing them to a demon, especially Belphegor because he actually killed MC. He also dreams of Lucifer threatening them (ANOTHER thing that happened in the OG game, but this was one that Solomon actually witnessed) except this time Solomon can't get to them and before he knows it their eyes are lifeless and he's the only one that seems to care on the dancefloor of demons who laugh at the existence of humans.

There's a small part of him that wants to convince MC to attempt to become immortal just like him so he can see them all the time, though the bigger part of him knows that isn't right. Please tell him it's okay to be selfish.

Every day, he insists on taking a picture of you. He has a secret little scrapbook of pictures and memories of you, daily memories of you. It doesn't matter if all you did that day was video call him, he'll take a screenshot of your smiling face and put that in his scrapbook. He does this so he'll have a timeline of your relationship, from the day one of you confessed to the day you pass. He'll be able to remember anything and everything about you even when you aren't there anymore.

Whenever you cuddle with Solomon and he rests his head on your chest, he's listening to your heartbeat. I actually think most if not ALL the obey me cast would do this (ESPECIALLY BELPHIE!!!!!!) just to check that you're still okay and haven't been hurt.

He has a habit of checking you for injuries whenever he sees you. He'll run his hands down your arms and down your waist just to make sure there's no wounds. It's become so habitual that he doesn't even really realize he's doing it anymore.

The night is usually quiet within the walls of the Trancy Estate. You and ALOIS sleep soundly in the master bedroom, and the servants take care not to disturb either of you unless it’s important.

It’s never a surprise that your lover is affectionate with you. He loves being able to touch, hug, kiss, just lie there and let his hands wander wherever they feel like wandering. Tonight, though, he goes a step further; as soon as you lie down next to him, his arms are around you. He nestles his face against your neck and breathes in your scent like it’s the last memory he’ll ever have.

“Well, hello, beautiful,” you hum in amusement. You run a gentle hand through his hair, stopping with your fingers curled at the base of his neck. “Are you thinking hard about something?”

He nods with his face still against you, though it feels like he’s relaxed a bit. No longer as desperate as he was when he first grabbed at you. “Yes. I’m thinking about how much I love you. And how happy I am that I found you before someone else did.”

You chuckle, and your other hand comes down to rest on his back. His muscles relax under your touch, his whole self cuddling in at the reminder that he’s safe with you. “I think even if someone else found me first, you’d have found a way to steal me. You’re good like that. And I love you, too.”

“Mmmh. You smell so good.” His breathing is even, delicate. The rest of the world is so quiet, anything too loud or harsh could break this moment into a million pieces. His fingers, balled into half-fists, stroke up and down your spine. “(Name)… this isn’t going to end, is it? It’s not some kind of dream?”

Your head tilts despite knowing he can’t see it. “What’s not? Our life?”

“Mhm. You see, sometimes… sometimes I’m afraid that’s all it is. A dream that my mind’s made up to make myself feel less lonely.”

“Hm. Well, I think I would know if I were a dream, darling. I feel very real.”

He chuckles and it’s a warm puff of air that makes you shiver a little. “Good.”

Another few minutes pass. It’s dark outside, you know, even with the curtains drawn. Alois is usually fast asleep by now, snoring thirty seconds after he drops down into your arms. You have to wonder what’s keeping him awake tonight.

Finally, he murmurs against your skin, “… Do you promise you’ll love me forever? No matter what?”

“Forever? That’s a long time,” you tease, scratching lightly at his scalp. “Do you mean until we die, or even after that?”

He lets out a small noise of thought before deciding. “No, after that. Do you promise that even when we’re dead, you’re still going to love me? When we’re just souls without bodies… will you find me and stay with me? Will you choose me even then?”

The way he speaks, you think he wants to believe the answer you’ll give will be a yes… but that he’s tensing himself up, braced for a no. You know there is something inside him, something that aches heavy in his chest, that thinks you’ll eventually get tired of him. That thinks at some point, you’ll stop seeing him as worthy of your love.

You comb his hair back, and kiss the top of his head. “I suppose so. If we’re just souls after that, it might take me a while to find you, but I’ll do it.”

“You will?” His grip suddenly tightens. “But… but what about… it’s ‘till death do us part’, isn’t it?”

You tug the covers up over the two of you. “It’s precious that you think death is going to stop me from loving you, Alois. You should really be more concerned with what happens if I die first. Because if I do, I’ll haunt you every day until you join me.”

He lets out something that sounds like a cross between a laugh and a sob, then presses himself against you even more. “… Fine, then. If I die first, I’ll haunt you, too.”

“Oh, dear, it seems I’ll never be rid of you,” you chuckle. You offer another kiss, this time to his forehead as he peeks up just a little at you.

Ah, that smile he gives is wicked. “Just as planned.”

Aaaaaaa I went to see my FWB last night specifically bc he was having a bad allergy day and Oh. My. God. I swear one of y’all was writing his life as a sickfic we hit so many tropes. No actual sneeze but still lots of good stuff lmao.

- so much congestion. And all the sniffles. Fair bit of coughing too which is not usually my thing but it’s been growing on me when it’s from someone I’m already attracted to

- he asked me to feel his forehead for fever (bc apparently fever from allergies is a thing that happens to him sometimes?). It was warm and his skin kept getting warmer to the touch over the course of the night

- a while later he offered that I could use the thermometer on him if I wanted. In ear thermometer, around 102 degrees Fahrenheit i.e., low-grade fever

- kept complaining about how weak he felt

- when I got up to get him some more water, he said drinking was hard and asked me to choose a container I could just pour into his mouth (I did, ofc)

- cuddle under blankets for warmth as he dealt with fever

- accidentally coughed into my chest, then turned his head but not far enough so coughed into my elbow (would have been so much better if sneeze but I’ll take what I can get)

- spent a bunch of time infodumping about the immune system (and some other topics too)

- when I went to leave he was like “wait. First pls walk me to kitchen so I can take my medicine. I’m so weak I might collapse.” He did not collapse. But I walked him over and fed his cat for him

- the fucking. Array of medicines in that kitchen. Not all of them were in use at this specific moment but hot damn.

- once he got up from bed to take medicine and see me off he literally felt so cold from fever that he was full-body shivering, teeth chattering, and stuttering words like a fucking cartoon character like “v-v-v-v-very c-c-c-cold” and shit

- ended the night with “ok please go now I need to go back to bed”
