PURPLE DAYS BEGIN!! my official ™ fave of the month is still coming up but literally all the rest of these pics from now til the End end are my faves honestly I. love every one of these. starting today with some GHOSTS 👻 - Flower Shades Hyacinthos “Cinthy” & Krokos! ok the lore info on this post got ridiculous I’m so sorry — for once I’m actually gonna stick it behind a cut to spare u all from this essay lmfao??? AUGHH

I’ve given my whole Flower Shade spiel twice prior (most recently on the 8th for Karpos & Kalamos’ pic) so I will spare you all lmao - Cinthy’s untimely demise turned him into. well. yknow. Hyacinth. (Actually, *annoying mythological facts voice* it’s larkspur but honestly that’s stupid so—) and Krokos’ own death turned him into…. crocus. duh duh. Hello. duh.

Krokos and Cinthy died, separately, in the EXACT SAME STUPID WAY, and also their personalities are SOOO polar opposites from each other so drawing them next to each other is exceptionally hilarious to me-

Krokos was dating Olympian Hermes when he died in a FREAK DISCUS ACCIDENT rip - death by frisbee🤦🏻‍♀️ and tho they’ve long since “”formally”” broken up they did part ways on good terms and consider themselves friends…………. With benefits in current days fgkgkg

and then, Cinthy!!💞💞💞💞 Cinthy is NOT as much of a background character like the other Flowers, since in current canon he’s actually engaged to Gany, with whom he’d been secretly…💞close friends💞 with during his own mortal life, back when Gany was tethered to Zeus and Cinthy himself was dating the Olympian Apollo. Cinthy’s own death via discus accident was… a little more complicated, as it came at the hands of another god and…. Maybe even more than that one god - if anyone had known about his relationship with Gany at the time….. hm. Well.

….meanwhile Elysiumverse!Apollo is an actual villain in here, like. in my list of Elysium Villains with Thanatos and OrigiMel. by the time Gany fell into the Underworld, Apollo and Cinthy had already kindave grown apart BUT Apollo’s absolute rage (and following related actions) over discovering that the Elysium palace was “keeping” Gany, and that Cinthy was choosing him over him, was the final “mask off” trigger to expose ✨his real horrible self✨ and needless to say that breakup was. uhhhhhh. rough.

BUT that was years ago and now they all live happily ever with Cinthy reunited with the ACTUAL love of his life snotty Olympians be damned

despite being a natural brunette (maybe) when he was alive Cinthy was constantly dying his hair different colors every week and when Meli & Loki turned Elysium’s shades solid (long story) years ago, he jumped right back to it; although his go to default is usually like, blurple-pink. When Krokos turned solid the first thing he did was make Cinthy dye his hair bright purple! Also fun fact Cinthy was the person who first dyed Chal’s hair red :-)

I find it funny that Wild, who has basically a couple years ish of full life experience, comes up with the most insane theories for everything

He assumed that the only other explanation to Four being able to split in Four was. That he was quadruplets who'd been hiding this whole time???

Also apparently he believed that his wolf companion Twilight in botw was a diety (and felt very uhh shocked upon finding out that he was not)

Malon made things worse, telling him about her aliens theory

What's even FUNNIER is that every time Wild expresses any sort of confusion at magic stuff that he's never seen before, everyone else in the chain acts like it's crazy for him to be weirded out by it

Honestly maybe Wild's the only one with his head on straight, rather than everyone else who are just like 'it's magic bro' like no he's right this is weird

I appreciate this because it's very considerate of the fact that he woke up with no memories not too long ago, so he doesn't have much experience to explain the stuff that's 'normal' for the chain. Plus the explanations he comes up with are funny.

Sanegiyuu, with ftm Sanemi modern au

Sanemi's period comes during the night and Giyuu, half asleep, is like crying quietly and asking Sanemi if he's dying. Sanemi's blank, sleepy look is just 'are you fucking kidding me?'

Typically, Sanemi could track his period relatively well, and most of the times it could follow its calendar, beginning right around the time Sanemi had predicted. But it was a bit early this time and caught Sanemi off guard, and he wasn't prepared when it appeared out of nowhere.

Really, it was more of a surprise to Giyuu, whom was beside him when it decided to occur in its naturally bitch-ass way. So that when Giyuu awakes, shifting uncomfortably in the bed, the first thing he notices is a slowly growing stain of red on Sanemi's pants.

It takes him a moment to place it as blood, his sleepiness rendering his mind quite slow. But when he does, he jolts up in a panic, eyes wide. Blood?? What was happening??

He frantically waves his hands around, lifting Sanemi slightly, wondering what had happened. The blood seems to flow more consistently with the movement, and he struggles to understand. Somewhere in his half-asleep state, he wonders if Sanemi's dying. With that thought in his mind, his anxiety tumbles through him, allowing tears to prick his eyes. Sanemi can't die yet!! He doesn't even know what caused it.

Gently, he shakes Sanemi. He gets no response at first, so he paws urgently on Sanemi's arm, tugging him and trying to jostle him awake. Wearily, Sanemi gives in, blinking and squinting up at Giyuu.

"Nn?"

At least he doesn't seem in pain. Giyuu takes a moment to response, sniffing. "You're- Are you dying?" he manages, bringing a hand down to Sanemi's thigh but drawing it away when he feels the dampness of the clothing. The red on his fingertips makes him panic more. "You're bleeding, Sanemi—"

"Wuh?" Sanemi scrunches his nose, sitting up slowly. Giyuu pushes him back down, shaking his head and telling him not to move too much. "Idiot... I'm not dying," he groans, still unsure what was happening. "What do you mean blee—... oh."

Though he hasn't noticed the blood yet, understanding dawns on him. He bats Giyuu's attempts to keep him down, propping himself up on his elbow and sighing.

"I'm not dying," he repeats.

"But- blood!" Giyuu insists. "You're bleeding so... so much."

Running a tired hand over his face, Sanemi lets out an exasperated breath. "Giyuu. I'm on my period," he explains. "That's not it. This happens every month."

Not quite grasping the first part, Giyuu grows ever the more concerned. "Every month?"

Sanemi rolls his eyes. "You ignorant fuck. I'm on my period," he grumbles. He looks wearily down at himself. "I'll haft'a change the sheets, fuck..."

"Huh?" Giyuu blinks. Then the words register in his panicked-sleepy state, and his tension fades, leaving him sitting pathetically with tear-stained cheeks. "Oh. Oh."

"Mm. You're an idiot," Sanemi says affectionately, reaching up and patting Giyuu. "I'll go clean us up, 'kay? Put the blankets on the floor or something, gotta change the sheets before it gets on the mattress."

"O...okay." Giyuu nods obediently, leaving to wash his hands. He's glad Sanemi isn't dying, at least.

Jane Doe / Penny Lamb's themes of identity are so interesting to me. like. who you were before has been crushed, and is dead and buried. You're everything and nothing at the same time. Lost in the dark after being thrown in there without a guiding hand. You never had a life to remember.

Yet, that former identity is still truly alive. Clawing it's way out from inside your chest. You are still you. You and that former identity remain as the same beating heart. Just torn out and buried somewhere you can't find it just yet.

It's your choice to dig up that heart, put it back inside you, and get closure. It's your choice to develop a new heart, and create a new sense of self.

Why be left in death when you can rise from the ashes and start anew?

Ezra Lamb also has some interesting themes of identity & how you view life as a whole as well! Like.

You live. You die. That's it, right? No purpose to it, no meaning. Like a puppet show played over and over until the performers finally get tired of it. So, the best option is to just. Live as yourself. The universe is indifferent to how you are, so why worry about what you need to be? Just be what you want to be.

There's an pessimistic side to it, just as there is a more hopeful, optimistic side. If you have no purpose or meaning, why not make your own? The "universe" or "higher ups" can't do shit about it. Who cares who or what you are? Enjoy the life you have while it lasts. Everyone's in the dark, right? It's your choice on what you do with your life while you have it.

If you're nothing, then make yourself into something.

Why be left in a life with no meaning when you can create your own meaning?

Do I realize the Lambs may or may not be narrative foils? Yeah. Am I insane about it? Yeah. I'm not normal about their contrasting themes of existential & nihilism (of many forms), along with some themes of rememberance & identity. I might be reaching a LOT with this but chat please hear me out

AFTER SO LONG, THEIR REF IS DONE. my take at sun and moon :]

Lil silly hcs of em I have below..

Moondrop

- moon is 7'9, a little bit taller and lankier than sun due to his flexible and athletic ability as a security retrieval unit bot. Hence the claws, sharp teeth and speed, he's meant to retrieve any rogue animatronic (ex. Freddy or monty) that is out of its station. Or any intruder that unfortunately enters the place Compared to sun who doesn't have that programming (or did, it's now deactivated but can still be triggered slightly)

- he's overly hyper around kids and those he's comfortable around. But when it's other staff members or people, moon will tend to calm down if not just not acknowledge you. The mans like a cat, he will not care about you unless your his favorite

-doesn't really smile at anyone but those he cares about. You will always see this guy scowling or just bored, don't take it personally. He just simply doesn't care about anyone but his own babygirls and kids.

-moon will curse, absolutely all the damn time. Sun hates it. Poe LOVEs it. Sun beats them up cause he's a bad influence to hope about it.

-he loves crawling on the walls like a lil freak to Jumpscare anyone. Particularly craig. It doesn't work on hope tho.

-moon is incredibly attached to craig and his sister, he sees him like a small child to take care of and coddles him to PLS rest cause he never does (even if Craig is 25). But essentially he imprinted himself like a guardian figure to craig, at least that's how moon sees it. Craig still thinks he's a annoying freak (affectionate)

- his temper is rather short, it doesn't seem like it in hindsight but you can get on moon's badside very quickly.

-he tend to loaf around like a cat and bend in ways when he flops asleep anywhere. Sometimes he curls around sun, hope or craig like a cage as a protective habit. It becomes hard to untangle him tho.

-his clothes and body can glow in the dark as a comfort for children! However sometimes his mouth can glow too and that's just for him to be a lil cheshire cat asshole to scare people HFKDK

-both of moons eyes were originally white like sun's however side effects of the virus still lingered slightly even after his new body was built so they seemed to have stuck to those colors.

- Craig built his new body! Using old schematics and new ones he made himself with moon's preferences to finally help him out of the faulty virus with sun. It took quite a bit to help adjust to his new body. His hands and face are made of a soft silicone padding to be safe for children and his claws can hide like a cat's (he's just a cat really JFKFK)

-moon actually has somr canes for when he needed help to use his body. He technically still uses them whenever his limbs feel too tired or overexherted from certain actions

-moon uses solar power in the daytime to charge.

Sunrise

- sunny is 7'5", still pretty tall but not as much as moon who is basically freddy sized.

- his model was upgraded to be similar to moon after craig built them a new body to help fix any left over potential errors in their programming.

- before he called himself sundrop as a mix with moon's name when they shared a single body. Now that they're separate his original name continues as sunrise once again. Though he prefer sunny, Mr sun, and sundrop (only by moon and poe).

-despite being the sun animatronic, sun is very gentle and calm compared to moon. He of course has the same zoomy moments as moon. But they're a little toned down sometimes to help with any children who have overstimulation issues (moon has a similar concept but he's insane cause of his security program at night) he's very motherly in nature and tends to be overly sweet to even naughty kids to try to coax them out of their attitude to avoid banning them (he doesn't like doing that. Except for Gregory fuck that kid HRKDKD)

- sun also has claws and sharp teeth (old security program from moon) but he never uses them and prefers not to. If he's VERY upset, then perhaps they'll activate like a tick but he hates them. His claws are all battered and chewed up from anxiety trauma from moon's virus and no matter how much craig replaces them sun does it again so he gave up on it.

-sun has chewing and some harmful Stims to himself that he can't help but do when he's stressed. Moon and poe try to calm him out of it as best they can by keeping him company when he's alone or giving him stim toys when he's taking care of children. The bell on his neck was given to him by poe for that! (The one for moon also as a complimentary to sun :])

-sun is clingy, hates to be alone and tends to always be around moon or poe. He HATES being along and it scares him after the long years of not being able to interact with moon out of fear of that virus they had. It got him very bad and he just can't be by himself anymore without moon alongside him or poe to talk to. (They don't mind they love being clingy with each other)

-when moon got his body, sun essentially gave him physical therapy to help moon adjust to moving.

-sun loves putting stickers on everything. His face, on moon, on the kids or poe. If you see stickers everywhere its not just the kids it's sun's love language UFKDKk.

-sun patrols the late afternoon of the plex before night time just to be sure there are no lost children (or adults,,,) after the place has closed.

- He's not quite used to leaving the daycare and there was a time before moon got his body where sun had an intense agoraphobia to leave, afraid he might hurt others if the lights went out and he wasn't locked in the daycare to avoid hurting anyone. Poe helped him out of this fear afterward

-sun loved making art and bouncing around. His favorite thing to do is origami you'll see many little origami animals of certain fellas he works with as a cute love language. He'll also always be ontop of poe or clinging on moon, when he's not he's busy cleaning and being a cute lil gay sunshine boy.

- sun also loves singing. He doesn't have a music box like moon but he tends to hum and sing on his own (from his old theater programming) and you'll see him reenacting some musicals while cleaning in the most dramatic way with his broom or the toys around the daycare. Sometimes moon will dance around with him and try to sing and poe would too (reluctantly)

-he loves cuddling with moon and poe in a pile in his room full of pillows and plushies.

-like moon, sun is very attached to hope and her brother. Particularly the young child as he's very protective and guilt ridden from the incident he had with her thr first night she came to the daycare where moon accidentally hurt her as the lights went out. Theyll never forgive themselves for that, even if hope doesn't mind. But he's always around the little kid and thinks of her as his own, and sometimes hope has slipped "dad" at sun which has made the sun attendant malfunction incredibly in the best way. But he'll always play with her anything she wants and keep her company with moon since hope doesn't like socializing with other kids.

-if you curse he'll actually throw you. And sun is INCREDIBLY strong.

-sun uses moonlight to charge himself in the night time!

Been artblocked on and off for a bit and it's been frustrating. This is the first piece I've made in a while that I'm happy with. I almost gave up on it a few times but I'm glad I finished it!! I miss drawing my OCs so much

I'm trying my best to make more finished pieces, especially ones with actual backgrounds. I feel so envious of my younger self who could pump out like 10 different finished pieces within a month. Gosh I wish I could do that now

But anyways, I have another piece I'll be posting tomorrow! Here's today's offering

niki: i'm developing new recipes for a cooking segment on a new show i was put in charge of ! i'm thinking of focusing on spring vegetables ..

rinne: ( yawn ) i went out with niki early in the morning to dig up bamboo shoots, and we stayed there until pretty late in the evening, i've been so tired .. i think i'll sleep a bit now

niki: rinnekun told me spring was a great time for picnics, so i'm going to make a bento ! what would go nicely in it .. 💭

i swore there was another one but i don't feel like checking the shop atm to see if i missed a line . will update you if i did o7

thinking about rinne being like (grumble grumble) why am i up this early (grumble grumble) damn you niki (in spite of agreeing to drive him the night before).... but still driving him, and joining him in digging up the bamboo shoots, and they end up having such a good time that he forgot he was even that tired at all to begin with. cue rinne and niki sitting in silence for like 5 mins in the car before he starts playing stuff from a playlist he made for the two of them and they immediately start singing/humming along

and in the following bento line i can imagine that happening almost before rinnes, like oh, bc rinnes doing this for me ill make us some food since he said spring is nice for picnics :) itll be fun and yummy food is always good~ (not just thinking about the food, obviously, but specifically remembering that tiny detail and wanting to Share That with the person he loves)

so by the time they have a few bags of bamboo shoots and are exhausted and covered in dirt nikis like ta dah!!! i made us bentos!! and rinnes thankful but also like omg, is this a date, does niki like me? i wouldve gotten dressed nicer 😳😳 nikikyun, you shoulda told meeee (super teasing, everyone knows theyre dating, hes being silly) and niki jokingly smacks him like no way! not like you wouldve done the laundry today anyway!! (but makes no attempt to reject the date idea) and and and.

idk i just started thinking about this scenario, i always love the "oh i have to do this thing" and the other immediately joining in like "well duh obviously i gotta go with you" both in the more serious sense and with more everyday activities like this, as much as they complain they treasure each others company so much IM DEADDDDDDD
