(hi, hfw asker here)
god no actually, i thought i was the only one who struggled so much with the ac valhalla boat! i genuinely half the time felt like that austin powers golf cart scene
i totally agree, i loved the romance in valhalla! but also just the relationships in general, since i think you spend a lot more time with your allies in valhalla than in odyssey (i cried when soma died).
and that’s part of why i think you’re so right when you say that in many ways it would’ve been less sad for eivor to carry the staff than kassandra. eivor’s whole deal was that she had a family, she had a home, and she needed to protect those things. eivor being able to chase after honor and glory was due to her already having those things to return to. kassandra’s whole deal was that she didn’t have either, and she spends the entire story wandering all over the world trying to find these things, and she gets so little time with them before she’s asked to take on this incredibly heavy burden of knowing that she’ll outlive all of them. when i tell you that words couldn’t describe how i felt when you play as layla and you go to finally relieve her of the staff and allow kassandra to rest in peace…
and also yeah, what’s the deal with randvi never leaving the map room? all i can do is 👀
about horizon: i feel like i should add the disclaimer that i still don’t love using the spear in it much, but i don’t think it hinders my playthrough at all
and lastly, regarding dark souls: i am, somewhat shamefully, a “if it sucks, stick in it easy mode” player, so it might not be the game for me to play, but watching playthroughs is probably still on the table!
sorry i lied, this is the last thing: have you played hades?
lol i cannot imagine how anyone could have an easy time w the boat in that game literally at the one part where u get attacked on the boat i was like NOPE! and just power sailed out of there instead of fighting like it wanted me to lol. and omggggg do NOT mention soma dying to me i was SO upset i had seen smth that made me think she wasn’t going to die so i was not expecting it at ALL so when it happened i was like TF are u kidding??? i really wish they hadn’t killed her for a lot of reasons but esp since she was the only other place that was led by a woman ykwim….like did u have to kill her….also ngl i totally would have romanced her if i could have which made it worse 😔 although randvi was already jealous w/o that happening so lol…..
but yeah i 100% agree eivor had been living w love & community her whole life vs kassandra only just finding that and immediately having to leave to find the isu artifacts :( the whole game is abt searching for her family and just when u all reunite its like lol time to go travel the world alone and watch everyone u love die while u r immortal kassandra 🤩 like fuck off thats soooo mean. it’s a harsh thing to do for any character but esp kassandra who really cares for ppl so deeply & thrives off of connecting w other ppl. seeing her in valhalla is so sad w her saying she can’t be around other ppl and she hasn’t been to a party in so long knowing how much she loved forming connections w ppl is just so 😭 but i love that they allow u to give that to her one more time thru eivor fr. also that bit where she gives layla the staff is so hard for me bc on one hand it’s like i’m so glad u get to let her finally have peace on the other hand it’s awful to see her die right in front of u 😩 dude i just love kassandra so much why did they have to make her story so heartbreaking……
i have been using a spear for a bit in dark souls & although i still don’t like it i kept using it bc it was my best weapon so i can do a spear if i have to 😩 def won’t put me off of the game i’m sure id get used to it even if i will def wish i could use a sword lol
dark souls does not have an easy mode so i would def not recommend it to u it is super hard and so frustrating (idk how much u know abt dark souls so i will explain) bc when u kill enemies u get souls to level up w but when u die u lose all ur souls & the only way to get them back is to make it back to the spot where u died & pick them up so if u die again before u get there u lose all of those souls forever. & every time u die all of the enemies except bosses respawn. lost 11000 souls like two days ago and it was like the life drained out of me in real life too fr 😩
i have not played hades but i MIGHT have it on my switch. i remember i had added a game on my wishlist bc it sounded cool & then bought it bc it was on sale and the name sounds familiar to me so i think it may have been that? could have been a totally different game tho lol.

Hey! Sorry if this is weird or something you have answered before.
I’m a teenage girl, and I tend masterbate at least once a day, but I had accidentally fallen down a rabbit hole of porn addiction and that kinda stuff.
Now I’m really worried that my frequency in which I masterbate is bad for me. I haven’t felt and adverse affects in my personal life (still hanging with friends, still getting good grades etc) and masterbation has actually seem to have a positive effect on my mental health (the first time I used me rose toy the mental fog that had been covering my brain first months cleared lol)
Still, is this a dopamine hit that’s bad like doom scrolling? Or am I freaking out over nothing
Thanks
hi anon,
I'm really glad you took the time to send this ask in! I've noticed a lot of folks younger than me are VERY worried about porn addiction or otherwise being too sexual lately, and I'm very happy to be able to help alleviate those fears.
I would recommend starting with the answers to both of these previous asks, which I hope will provide some comfort. if nothing else, please read this concluding paragraph from the latter:
is it possible to become overly reliant on sexual stimulation as a form of self-soothing? sure, of course. it’s possible to become overly reliant on anything; absolutely any positive behavior can become detrimental if it’s performed to extremity. again, read that ask I linked! but pivoting from a breakdown to jacking off isn’t a bad idea. it can help you calm down, can be a great transition into a nap or sleep, and pops off a little burst of dopamine and oxytocin that’s probably very badly needed if you’re on the verge of a breakdown. of course it’s ideal to have other healthy outlets for when you’re feeling bad - making art or doing something else with your hands, doing some enjoyable physical activity, talking with friends or family, keeping a journal - but as one part of a larger diet of support and coping mechanism, horny behavior is great, normal, and very healthy.
masturbating regularly, even once a day, is completely fine. it doesn't sound as if it's disrupting anything of importance in your life, which says to me that it's a nonissue, and it's a nice little treat for you. and if masturbating daily is wrong, then rest assured that you and I will be in horny jail together 🫡
it always bums me out when I see people, especially teenagers, voicing suspicion about sexuality specifically because of the feel-good reactions that sexual pleasure can trigger in your brain. you can get the same feeling by taking a walk, petting your cat, spending time with a friend, or getting a tattoo, but none of those are treated with the same kind of suspicion. it speaks to a deep fear and distrust of sexuality, which is completely normal and natural, that I fear will not serve anyone well in the long run, so it's a pleasure to help unravel that a little. I hope this has been helpful to read!

Hiya! I absolutely loved your posts about the HH main cast dealing with a sick reader and them being sick. You did a phenomenal job with them!
As for a request, what about Vox, hell’s resident bipedal tv, hc’s of him realizing he’s legitimately falling for reader?
Vox realises he has feelings for you
A/N : Thank you so much seriously!! 💛
Cw: SFW, gn!reader, suggestive comment at one point, angst-ish/ Vox coping
Tumblr media
- It'll be a good long time before he realises he's fallen for you, and when he finally does, he's fully in it. There's no turning back and there's no backpedalling. He's absolutely whipped.
- It hits him one day like a train that he's actually in love with you all at once.
- He hung out with you the afternoon, and that night he's laying on his back with his phone gripped in his hand against his chest.
- It's been exactly 3 and a half hours since you were out together on a movie date at the VIP premiere. (as in in the ridiculously lavish movie room he had within Vee tower)
- He had been counting.
- You hadn't texted him back yet, and he was tapping his claw impatiently waiting for you to message him back with the world's biggest pout on his face.
- He'd already sent 4 texts, and none of them had been answered yet. He had to stop himself from sending more because he didn't want to seem too desperate. (Even though he was)
- He told himself he'd be mad that you had made him wait whenever you got back to him. He'd blow up over it.
- However, the second his phone buzzes and he sees the notification from you saying you had fun and were sorry you hadn't gotten back immediately it's like his dopamine receptors have been kicked into absolute overdrive.
- He's giddy. Warmth is flooding his chest, and he starts breathing heavier as the world's dorkiest smile spreads across his face.
- It isn't then that he realises exactly, but it's when you leave to go to sleep after texting him for a couple of hours with a flirtatious comment that has his head spinning and sparking.
- You were talking about how you'd washed your sheets that day and were making your bed. He acted like he was bored, and your next words absolutely took him out.
- "Fine. Next time, come over, and I'll spread you out on my bed then."
- When he calms down, it's messed up again as he's questioning himself.
- Why did I glitch out to them saying something that resembles a shitty pick-up line? Why did I count every minute that passed the second you went home? Why do I feel like I'm on drugs the second you pay me the slightest bit of attention.
- OH FUCK -
- He goes through all stages of grief as he realises he's in love with you in a single second and ends up causing a blackout in his bedroom in the process.
- When he roboots, he holds his head in his hands and chugs delulu juice instantly feels absolutely terrified.
- It's humiliating for him to have such delicate feelings, let alone for someone who surely doesn't feel the same way. His experiences with real, genuine romantic love for other people have hardly ended well.
- He likely tries to distance himself from you because he's scared of the fact he is so attached to you.
- It's been ages and ages of being attached to you but he's only fully realised - or at least fully acknowledged the extent of that attachment.
- His distance from you is shortly lived however as he craves you and your presence so badly he's disgusted at himself.
- He would not be the one to confess 9 times out of 10.
- Even if it's glaringly obvious you are also into him, he copes so fucking hard he's actually delusional with the excuses he makes about it.
- He basically friendzones HIMSELF.
- You could kiss him on the cheek or hold his hands in yours or cup his face lovingly and he would be there glitching while thinking about how you must just be like this with everyone else-
- He's charismatic, charming, and can often read everyone around him like an open book - analyse their behaviours, true intentions, expressions, thoughts under it all, etc.
- But he's so terribly stupid with love.
- You need to confess to him first most likely and he'll probably still think you're bullshitting him.
- Literally finds every reason of why you aren't in love with him and tries to twist everything that way.
- Even when he's in love, he wants it to be reciprocated obviously. The thought of it not being requited as he expects is embarrassing at best.
- But, he's genuinely probably even more terrified of what that means if you do love him back.
- It's easier if you don't love him back for him because he's scared of the way you might further bring out whatever imperfections and vulnerability he's shown you already after actually being in a relationship with you.
- He craves being in a relationship with you and the security you could bring him to expose those parts of himself he desperately conceals with masks resting on masks, but also its deeply unnerving to him simultaneously.

Infuriating watching the process of this man actually realising he's in love for real, honestly 😭

I keep trying to send you something for SS but it keeps getting reformatted and an error comes up. I'll try to send in multiple parts.
I'm sorry that this took so long to answer, but I was trying to find the best way to post your submission because all three posts came in formatted a bit wonkily and I wanted to make sure everyone could read the full story properly, so I put them all here as text in order to make it easier to follow! Hopefully that works easier than linking all three posts together💛
⬇️ NSFW steddie ficlet below
PART 1
Here's a little something for Slick Sunday O!S A!E: Steve hasn't gotten off in a while. It's not for lack of desire, he's been woefully single but honestly too busy to do much about it. The issue really has been he hasn't really felt like getting off solo. The few times he's tried lately, mostly when he's in bed for the night, didn't really go anywhere. He'd take his cock in his hand, dip his fingers in his pussy for some slick as lube, determined to rub one out but after a few minutes his erection would flag and he'd just give up and go to sleep.
Until today, where he's finally horny enough that he's SURE he could get off, and he wants to SO badly. unfortunately he's currently at work and he can't go anywhere because it's a busy day, he's by himself and has to man the register.
And technically he needs to walk around and organize things but he's staying put behind the register because he's hard as rock, and his boxers are slick soaked.
He's so embarrassed and he glances at the clock willing the customers to leave. He's panicking during transactions sure they all smell his desire, and even if they can he knows it's socially impolite to point it out. He hopes his blockers are doing a good enough job he needs to switch them out soon.
PART 2
Finally the store is empty and Steve is about to turn the sign so he can go on his lunch break, finally, and speed on home for a change of underwear and quick crank.
But the front door makes a little digital bells sound, indicating someone else has arrived. nononono go away GO away GO AWAY!!!!!!
Steve glances up to see it's Eddie and he's half relieved and half nervous. Relieved since it's Eddie, whom he’s been crushing on for quite a while, and nervous because he's SURE he won't be able to leave anytime soon since Eddie tends to stick around when he comes to visit Steve at work. He's sure to want Steve to walk around with him and Steve really wouldn't be able to hide behind the counter anymore.
"Hiya Steeeevie! You guys get any new worthwhile flicks?"
"Uh maybe. Check the new releases."
"Haha well yeah I'm going to, just wanted to know if you have any recommendations!"
"Nothing comes to mind, sorry."
"You're sweating, somethings up with you. You alright?"
"Fine, uh. I'm fine AC's been on the fritz. I'll go check the thermostat in the back."
"Ah that sucks. I'll go with you, see if I can tinker with the unit and get it working better!"
"There's no need. someone will come tomorrow."
"Good :Eddie sniffs the air: oh wow. it smells SO nice in here today."
ohcrapohnomyblockersarewornout!
"Oh uh..."
"Wait, it's. It's you. You smell great Steve, wow. I don't usually smell you."
"My uh, blockers must need to be switched out, thanks for letting me know. I'll go in the back real quick and do that" It's a plausible excuse but embarrassing enough he won't be followed.
Steve starts toward the back room determined to reapply his blocker patch and will his erection to flag before he has to face Eddie, again.
"Oh! I'll just wait out here you go replace your patch and I'll get out of your hair soon I promised Wayne a movie night."
Steve, not knowing what to say, rushes into the back.
PART 3
"Go down, go down. please. Eddie's right outside"
Oh Eddie's right outside?
It's like his cock is mocking him the way it does a desperate little twitch at the thought of Eddie standing outside the door. Beautiful, Eddie with his soft doe eyes, and his cropped top, showing off the trail to what is probably a huge alpha co— Now's not the time for horny thoughts!
"Uh Steve? you alright in there? you've been in there for a little bit?"
What if Eddie was waiting outside the door and thinks he's rubbing one out in here?
Oh no! oh no!
If anything it just makes Steve gush even more.
Imagines Eddie asking if he needs a hand—
"Fine!!! I'm fine!"
But the door handle is turning, and Steve curses the lack of locks.
Steve automatically turns around to wave him off.
They meet eyes and Steve can tell the moment Eddie sees his bulge because Eddie stops short and his eyes bug a bit, and he instinctively sniffs the air around him(This is it! this is when Steve finally dies of embarrassment, he just knows it!!!)
"Oh man you're soaked. Do you have a change of clothes in the car, I could get for you?"
"I don't, l used them when we decided to go swimming last week. I'm just going to go, uh die of embarrassment be right back."
"Don't be embarrassed, you don't need to be. I shouldn't have come in without knocking. I've been there before, pent up and no way to get rid of it, l once popped a boner in the middle of a grocery store. I was terrified the staff would think I was into cauliflower. "
Steve can't help but scoff a little laugh at Eddie's nervous ramblings.
"Cauliflower huh? Would have taken you for more of a cucumber man"
SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP
"Well yeah I guess don't want to be too predictable, and that's just low hanging fruit, well, vegetable really. Uh Why am I still standing here? You're sweating so bad, you smell fantastic wow. I'm just putting my foot in my mouth here."
Steve stares at him blushing "You think I smell good?" he giddily asks.
"You smell fucking amazing. And just look at you. You're packing some serious heat there, huh? Um, not to be too forward but wouldyoulikesomehelpwiththatSteve?"
Steve nervously smiles and asks for clarification "slow down a bit. what did you say?" please be what I thought you said!!!!
Eddie gulps but steps forward into Steve's space.
Gulps and takes a deep breath through his nose, his pupils dilating. "I said, would you like some help with that, omega??"
Steve gulps and feels himself start to gush even more, slick trailing down the inside of his thighs, Eddie seems to notice the way he glances down hungrily.
"PLEASE! :Steve clears his throat: I mean. Yes! I would. I really would. Let me lock the front door."

Torn Apart Pt. 2- The Surgery
Tumblr media
I decided to name the fic about the reader losing her arms! Also I found out recently that Law has gold eyes in the manga AND WHY DID THEY CHANGE THAT HOLY FUCCCKKK
Also thank y'all so much for the overwhelming support for this fic!
This chapter is a little shorter than the previous one, but leaves off at a good place!
Just to recap tho...MAJOR WARNING: THIS WILL (probably) TRAUMATIZE YOU. Reader will have PTSD, ANXIETY ATTACKS, AND BE VERBALLY ABUSED. But becomes besties with Franky so ya know... up to you.
TW's: talk of surgery, Luffy being supportive in his own (lecturing) way, descriptions of pain, panic attack and PTSD flashback at the same time (trust me it's not fun), learning to walk again, needles (medical setting)
Tumblr media
Golden eyes pierced your faux air of confidence you put on to face the Surgeon of Death. You looked away, almost cowed by his evaluating gaze.
“So? What’s first?” you asked Law. He grunted a little.
“Lay down fully. Let me do a scan.”
You eased yourself down, and Chopper lowered the bed so it was flat.  You heard his boots tap on the wood twice as he stepped closer.
“Room”
A blue spherical glow emanated from his palm, encompassing you, the bed and him at the same time, with your prone body in the middle. You swallowed hard, nervous. He unsheathed his sword. You knew from Zoro that all swords had a name, but you didn’t know the name of this one. Probably named it something edgy like “heart killer” or “death of hearts”, you thought to yourself. He hovered his hand down the length of the blade, covering it in a thin sheen of translucent blue before holding his sword above your body. Your eyes traced the metal of the blade, so long that you had to turn your head slightly to see the point reaching far past your shoulder.
“Stay still”, he ordered quietly. You snapped your head back to the original position, looking straight up at the ceiling, taking comfort in the familiar shield and knots in the wood above you.
“Sorry” you whispered. He didn’t say anything in response.
“Scan.”
The sword moved down your body steadily. He really did have the hands of a surgeon. His boots tapped as he shifted his body as his sword scanned yours. He reached your feet, finally lowering his sword, but didn’t release his Room.
“Tra-o” luffy’s voice piped up from the corner where he had been sitting quietly. He was the only one besides Chopper allowed in the room while he worked. His voice was strangely serious, and you couldn’t help but look over at him. His usual smile was replaced with a concerned frown as he met the surgeon’s gaze. Law sighed tiredly before turning back to you.
“You were hurt badly. It’s honestly a miracle you’re still alive.”
You kept your eyes on Luffy, taking comfort from his confident presence.
“I know,” you murmured. A brief silence followed, waiting for Law to continue.
“And you’re still hurting, in your heart.”
You flinched slightly at his words, sliding your shocked gaze to his.
“You can’t possibly know that” you breathed. He met your eyes steadily, unidentified emotion in his eyes.
“My abilities don’t lie,” he answered. You kept looking at him, silent and calculating. You took in his features properly, now seeing him in a relaxed environment and not pissed off at your captain for once. He stood with confidence, slightly slouched as he tucked his hand in the front pocket of his spotted jeans. His other hand held his sword, the blunt side of the blade now resting against his shoulder. His spotted hat was low on his forehead, but as he stood looking down at you, none of his features were shadowed. His sharp eyes were gold, ringed by dark circles and reddened by lack of sleep, but both of those oddly only added to his handsomeness. He had high, sharp cheekbones with sideburns by his double pierced ears and a defined jaw with a goatee. His expression was calm, instead of the usual scowl he wore around your captain. Your eyes traveled to his clothing, a relaxed long sleeve shirt with a low neck that allowed small peeks of his tattoos to show. Honestly, you didn’t know how you didn’t see it earlier. He was fucking hot. Heat rose to your cheeks and he smirked as if he knew exactly what you were thinking. He probably did, the bastard.
“So did you see anything else? Can you do the surgery? Why is her heart hurting? Is it because of Zoro?” Luffy spoke, half demanding and half asking. Law's eyebrow twitched as he remembered your captain was in the room. Chopper was on Luffy’s shoulder, looking at him with wide eyes. At least those two were too innocent to know what happened between you and Law just then. Law turned to Luffy, his usual scowl returning to his face. Tension rose in his shoulders and the blue glow of his Room faded.
“I can do the surgery. It’ll be long, but it’ll be better for everyone, and be better quality. Not that you’re a bad doctor, Chopper-ya.” He spoke mainly to his fellow doctor, and the reindeer nodded.
“I’m less familiar with surgery than you. Let me know what you need!”
Law nodded in approval.
“If I’m doing the surgery, I’d like to do it in the operating room on my ship. I have my crew who are trained as a surgery team, my equipment, and I’ll need you and Franky-ya there too. You’re familiar with the patient and injuries and are able to tell me exactly what you did to treat it. Franky-ya can add his expertise on the machinery and his own body,” he said firmly. Chopper nodded seriously. It was adorable when he was in full doctor mode. Law turned to you.
“That is, if you’ll let me do the surgery.”
He looked at you expectantly, cocking his head as he waited for an answer. You suddenly realized even his voice was hot. You cleared your throat.
“Sure. Got nothing else to lose” you shrugged the best you could, and heat flared to your face a second time, embarrassed at your failed movement. Law only grinned in excitement and was about to respond when Luffy cut him off.
“No.”
You and the two doctors looked at him, shocked. A pang went through your chest. Was he not allowing you? Why? Did you do something wrong? Were you not worth it anymore?
“Mugiwara-ya-“ Law’s growl was cut off by Luffy speaking over him, his eyes meeting yours determinedly.
“You’re not going to do the surgery because you have nothing else to lose. You have everything and everyone else to lose. You have your life, and if you still have that, then you’re still fighting. You’re still winning. You still have something to lose. You have us. Zoro was an asshole and you never have to forgive him for that, but don’t you ever discount our loyalty to you. We are your family, and you're ours. This is your home. Say it. Say you have everything to lose!” He started yelling, and you struggled to sit up. Pain lanced through your chest and shoulders, making you bite your lip to keep from crying out.
“Luffy…” you said softly. He stalked forward, and Chopper jumped off his shoulder. A dominating aura was rolling off your captain. He crawled on your bed, and stopped with his face only inches away from yours.
“Say it.”
Fear and despair shot through your stomach. You were terrified of letting them down, that you already had.
“How can I when I can’t shake on it? When I can’t even reach out to grab your hand when you need it?! I’ve let you down, Luffy. I’ve let you all down!”
Luffy didn’t waver, on his hands and knees straddling over your legs so as to not hurt you. His eyes never left yours, even as he spoke to Law.
“Tra-o. Give us a minute. You too Chopper.” Neither doctor answered, but the door opened and shut, leaving you in silence. You looked down at the blanket pooled on your lap.
“You haven’t let us down, and no matter what Zoro or anyone says, you’re part of my crew. My family. You sacrificed yourself to save someone you love. If I ever needed a hand to grab onto, well, Robin can make more, right? And you’ll have yours back soon. So stop being depressed and say you’ll do the surgery because you want to get better and that you have everything to lose!” He shifted so he was kneeling over you, one hand settling on the back of your neck as he pushed your face into the crook of his neck. Tears welled in your eyes, falling onto his warm skin and wetting his red shirt. His other arm gently wrapped around your side and rested on your back, encompassing you in comfort. It’s the first hug you’ve had since the accident.
“Luffy I’m scared it’ll hurt. I’ve been in so much pain. It hurts so much” you sobbed, unsure if you were talking about your arms or your heart. He shushed you.
“I’ll kick Trao’s ass if he makes it worse, okay?” You nodded, trusting him with your life. You stayed like that for a while, until his shirt was stained with your tears and snot and your thoughts were mostly in order.
“I’ll do it. I want to live. I still have everything to lose” you murmured. Luffy’s hand squeezed the back of your neck briefly in acknowledgement. He pulled back, looking at your face.
“Your face has snot on it” he observed gleefully.  You rolled your eyes with a smile.
“Yeah I know.”
His smile died as he brought the blanket to your face to wipe it. He was rough, pulling your skin just a little too hard, but that was your captain, so you didn’t mind.
“Promise me. Promise you want to live and that you’re doing the surgery because you have everything to lose.”
You smiled weakly up at him, but he saw resolve in your eyes.
“I promise.”
He smiled broadly before bringing his forehead down to meet yours. He still kinda bonked his head against yours, and he had a hard head, but he at least tried to be gentle. You giggled.
“This is how we promise now, okay? You and me. No hands or arms necessary.” He spoke quietly, uncharacteristic of his vibrant personality. The words shocked you with his wave of affection and love for you as a family member. You bit your lip to keep tears from welling up.
“Promise” you confirmed. He pulled back, a wide grin on his face.
“Great! I’ll go tell Trao to get ready to do the surgery!”
He bounded off your bed, making you wince at the sudden movement that rocked your body. You sucked in air through your teeth, and Luffy paused, looking back at you guiltily with his big brown eyes.
“Sorry”
You smiled, forgiving him easily.
“It’s okay. I’m due for my pain medication anyways. Can you tell Chopper?” You asked. Luffy nodded with a quick ‘yep!’ thrown over his shoulder as he sprinted out the door. You shook your head at the pure amount of energy that boy had.
Chopper returned a few minutes later and pattered around his work area, making fresh medicine for you.
“We have a good plan for the surgery now! We’re so lucky to have Law with us too! He’s so smart and good at medicine. His Devil Fruit ability is amazing to see in a medical setting!” He continued to blabber on about how excited he was, but you couldn’t shake the nervousness of going into surgery again for something so life-changing after experiencing trauma. A straw and some pills were shoved under your nose, and you opened your mouth to let the doctor pop in the medication and you sipped some water to swallow it. You laid back down, flinching at how sore you were. A groan escaped your lips as your body finally rested on the soft pillow and mattress, waiting for the meds to kick in as you drifted off to sleep.
Your nap wasn’t long, an hour or two at most. A screech from the deck startled you awake as adrenaline pumped through your body. Your shoulders and ribs screamed in white hot agony at the sudden movement as you shot upright, making you groan loudly with pain. I need to cover him. I need to save him. He can’t cut it. He can’t cut an explosion I need to save him I need to save his dream my arms are gone it hurts it hurts it hurts-
The kitchen door opened quickly as you curled up painfully as you started gasping in ragged, quick breaths, barely exhaling before gasping again.
“Hey, hey mon Cherie” Sanji’s deep voice made you alert to his presence, but didn’t distract you enough to snap you out of your panic attack. Hands settled gently on your back and you jerked away, not wanting to be touched by Marines. Not when they took so much from you already.
“I’ll get Franky,” he said quickly. Footsteps disappeared quickly as he swung open the door and ran to find someone. You’d already forgotten who, and the open door was too open. You needed to hide but you couldn’t move. Your breaths were controlling you, burning pain making you whimper. You wanted to hide your head in your arms but they were gone.
Too much it’s too much it hurts hurts hurts I can’t do it I can’t I can’t I can’t I can’t do it gone gone they’re gone I can’t they’re gone. I can’t do it again I can’t do it again I can’t do it again.
“Oi” a gravelly voice. You screamed a little as your head whipped around to the sound, fully expecting to be yelled at by Zoro again, maybe he’d hit you this time. Your wild eyes finally focused on Franky, and your tension eased a little, not seeing the swordsman standing above you. Franky blinked steadily at you. He’s safe. He’s good. Good.
“F-f-f-rank-k-ky” you forced out through chattering teeth.
“Hey sis” he replied. He moved his big hand, and you flinched, forcing another groan out of your aching chest.
“I’m going to put an ice pack on the back of your neck, okay? It’ll be really cold but it’ll shock you. Ready?”
At the explanation of his movement, you hesitated a second before nodding slightly once. He slowly moved his hand, which you now noticed contained an ice pack. He slid it against your sweaty neck and held it there. You whimpered at the cold, letting it send gasps through your lungs. He nodded in encouragement at the change in breathing.
“You’re doing so good now. Focus on my voice, okay? I’m going to walk you through a breathing exercise. It’ll come back to you quickly.”
You shook your head. You didn’t need to breathe, you needed to run. To leave. To hide. To be safe.
“Not s-s-safe Frank-k-ky. Need to go. Need to go need to go need to go. Hide from it!” You wanted to grab his wrist, and started panicking when you remembered you couldn’t.
“Hey hey. I’m going to pick you up, okay? Then we’re going to the corner. My metal body is strong and can handle it easily, " he said seriously. You nodded, and let him scoop you up and hold you close to his chest. He was warm, and you could hear an automatic whirring and beating in his chest. It was safer. He walked quickly over to the corner of the room, and knelt down, cradling you in his arms and lap. He curled over you slightly, letting his forehead rest on the wood behind you. You were enclosed and safe and warm.
“See? All safe. All good” his gravely voice was soothing to your racing mind.
Safe. Good.
“He’s safe?” You murmured, blinking up at him. He nodded with a grin.
“He’s perfectly healthy and safe, okay? Now breathe with me. I’m going to walk you through the square breathing. Remember that?”
You felt small and raw, but you did. You remembered it. Franky smiled at your shaky nod.
“Good. Are you ready? Breathe in with me for 1…2…3…4…and hold for 1…2…3…4… and out 1…2…3…4… and hold 1…2…3…4…” you followed his instructions numbly, trusting him completely. He repeated the commands and counting, and your hiccuping breaths eased slowly into smooth ones.
“Relax your muscles. You’re safe. You’re good,” he said quietly. You let your head rest fully on his shoulder, relieving the strain on your injuries. You focused on your toes, relaxing those first before moving up to your ankles, calves, and thighs. You ended by relaxing your abs and back, letting Franky hold your entire weight. He let you rest for a few minutes before you blinked up at him, eyes clear now without your panic.
“What was that?” You murmured into his shirt. Franky soothed a hand over your hair.
“A flashback and panic episode at the same time” he answered quietly. You would’ve shuddered at his answer if you had the energy.
“Am I going crazy?”
“No. It’s a symptom of panic episodes. I’ve been doing research on them” he said gently. You hummed. You were tired of this room.
“Can you take me out of here?”
He stood with your body cradled against him easily.
“Do you want quiet or sun?”
You couldn’t make a decision right now.
“Both” you said instead.
He carried you out of the infirmary, and beelined immediately towards Robin’s flower garden. The smell of the sea and the feel of fresh air felt good, even if you were still emotionally numb. Robin was sitting there, calmly drinking tea as her eyes roamed over the pages of a book. To you, it never looked like she read the normal way, but rather took in parts of sentences all over the page and let them float together in her mind. You nuzzled into Franky’s shoulder, breathing in the fresh air deeply. The floral scent of flowers sweetened the air. Your shaking was stopping.
“It’s a lovely day, isn’t it?” Robin greeted. You looked at her, a weak smile on your face.
“It is, especially when you haven’t had fresh air for a while” you answered.
“Mmm” She hummed in agreement. Franky sat you in a chair and took a seat in the one next to you. Sanji appeared and delivered a fresh pot of tea and extra cups before whirling away at Robin’s request for cookies. Franky poured you some tea and placed it in front of you. You sniffed the steam, breathing in a floral combination of chamomile, lavender, and mint, and a touch of cinnamon.
“Ah, it looks like he brought you a different blend than mine. Do you mind if I have a taste?” Robin asked. You shook your head.
“Go ahead.”
She poured a cup and brought it up to sniff before tasting it.
“It seems that Cook-san used the lavender, chamomile, and mint I gave him from my garden” she said appreciatively. You looked down at the tea with new appreciation.
“Shall I?” she said, an arm appearing from your armrest. You swallowed down the frustration at being helpless and nodded, leaning forward slightly. Robin’s arm picked up the teacup and brought it gently to your lips. You blew on it lightly and she tipped it the perfect amount for you to take a sip. The gentle flavors washed over your tongue, soothing your stress. It was sweetened slightly, just as an aftertaste. Sanji really was an amazing chef. You sighed, finally relaxing. Comfortable silence enveloped the three of you for a while, Franky taking a cola out of his stomach refrigerator and sipping on it. Robin seemed to have muscle memory from drinking so much tea that she hardly needed any focus to raise your cup to your lips and back down to the saucer. You reveled in the silence, because it was different from the silence of the infirmary. This silence was accompanied by the waves, footsteps, the breeze rustling the leaves of the garden and Nami’s orange trees. Voices of Nami, Chopper, and Usopp were all heard wafting back and forth, with the occasional annoyed grunt from Law. You looked back at your companions after soaking in the sun on your face for a minute.
“Where’s Law’s crew?” you questioned.
Robin answered cryptically first.
“Maybe they were swallowed by a giant electric eel and Law is waiting for them to emerge from the other end before meeting up with them again” she said without looking up from her book. You blinked at her before breaking out into peals of giggles that were hurting your ribs.
“Ow ow ow Robin stop making me laugh! It makes my ribs hurt!”
Franky snorted at Robin’s answer.
“He probably didn’t want them exposed to our ‘stupid mugiwara antics’” he imitated Law in the last bit, schooling his face into a stern scowl. You couldn’t help your giggles, and Robin laughed with you. The afternoon brought you joy and comfort, Sanji joining you briefly between his kitchen chores as he smoked. Usopp and Luffy joined before going off to fish and then coming back hours later to fetch Sanji, interrupting his dramatics towards you and Robin. It made you feel normal.
Normal.
You yawned, exhausted from being outside. You went to stand before an ache in your chest brought you back to reality. Franky saw your flinch and the clench of your jaw.
“Wanna go take a nap?” he asked. You nodded. He went to pick you up, but you shook your head.
“I want to try walking.”
Franky smiled gently.
“Just let me call Law up here. I think he mentioned something about wanting to see how walked earlier.”
Franky called Law’s name, the shouted ‘Tra-o’ making the surgeon look over his shoulder from gazing at the waves with his signature scowl. Franky pointed to you and told him you wanted to try walking. Law’s expression eased slightly, becoming more clinical than pissed off. He quickly approached your little group, his sword slung casually over his shoulder. Luffy raced over at the announcement.
You swallowed nervously at Law’s swagger towards you, looking away as your heart fluttered. His boots tapped on the wood planks until he stood in front of you, hip cocked to the side and free hand tucked in his pocket. He lowered his sword, placing it flat on the ground in the free space near the table.
“I’ll use my abilities. If you start to fall, I’ll switch you with my sword, okay?”
You nodded. Franky and Robin looked on curiously. Luffy hummed in understanding.
“Good. Now start by standing. Brace your feet apart so you have more balance” the doctor instructed. You slid your feet apart by opening your knees, and a brief picture of spreading your legs in a different scenario with the doctor flashed in your mind.
“Good.”
Butterflies erupted in your stomach at the praise in his deep voice, before a spear of guilt at your infatuation killed them. You breathed deeply, clearing your mind of your thoughts.
“Room.”
The blue dome enveloped you and your group. You noticed it also reached the infirmary.
“Why not just switch me to the bed if I start to fall?” you asked. Law blinked at you.
“Figured you’d want to be outside longer but I can do that instead” he offered. You nodded, yawning. Law picked up his sword, and leaned it against his shoulder again.
“Now try standing.”
You shifted your weight slowly onto your feet, managing to rise to a standing position. Law hummed.
“Walk.”
You shuffled forward a little, adjusting to your shift in weight and balance. You stopped, looking at the doctor. He nodded once. You swallowed nervously at the thought of walking again, but slowly shifted your weight to one foot as the other took a full step forward. You pushed off your other foot, letting your weight shift onto the one you had just stepped forward with. Your back foot swung forward, and landed easily. You looked up with a smile, meeting Luffy’s excited grin. Eagerly, you pushed forward, but ended up pushing forward too quickly, and you couldn’t get your other foot under you in time. Your shoulders ached horribly as the healing muscles twitched at your instinct to use your arms for balance, and the pain swept your sense of balance away.
“Shambles”
Tears pricked your eyes in frustration and pain, your jaw clenched against the current of them both. Your chest wanted to rise as your body writhed with the pain, but doing so only made your cracked ribs scream at you.
“Fuck!” you shouted instead. You were on the bed in the infirmary, alone. The door slammed open, revealing Law holding the blanket to your bed. You looked at him, tears blurring your eyes. He walked over quickly, dropping the blanket at your feet. You heard more footsteps come into the infirmary, and you grew mortified at your weakness.
“Everyone out!” He ordered. You looked at him, finally managing to gasp in some shaky breaths. You distantly heard footsteps retreat and the door close. His golden eyes looked down at you, concern raging behind his cold exterior.
“Room. Scan” He wielded his powers with ease, his sword moving through the air over your chest and shoulders. You tried to stay still, but it was impossible as the pain lanced through you. The surgeon sucked his teeth and put his sword away.
“Your wounds didn’t get worse. Let's get you some medication,” he said. He stepped to the door, and called for Chopper. The small reindeer trotted in, immediately going to his desk to mix up a strong pain medication. You whimpered, closing your eyes as your mind began to spiral.
“Oi. Look at me,” Law demanded. You opened your eyes, bringing them up to look into his golden eyes. He wiped your years off your cheek, and placed his arm at the head of your bed, leaning his weight on it as he bent over you.
“A broken body doesn’t mean you’re broken. You’ll heal, and I’m going to help you.”
You sniffled.
“I’m scared. It hurts so much” you mumbled, keeping your gaze on his.
“I know, I know. It’ll be okay soon though” he brought his forehead down to yours, bringing your focus to the point of contact. It was soothing. His other hand cradled your jaw, and he pulled back as he moved his hand on your head to stroke his thumb gently over your eyebrow repeatedly. It was oddly soothing, and you found your breath quickly returning. You closed your eyes as your body began to relax, starting to ease the pain.
“There, see? I know it’s scary, but you have everything to live for',' he murmured. Law slowly pulled back further, letting Chopper move forward with your medicine that he had dissolved in a cup of water. You scrunched your nose at the bitter smell, knowing it would taste awful. You looked at Law for a second, and he gave you a nod of encouragement. You sighed, and parted your lips so Chopper could angle the cup in your mouth. You groaned at the taste, hating the bitterness and saltiness of the medicine. It was different from what he had given you previously. You pulled back for a breath and gagged a little.
“Just one more drink!” the tiny doctor encouraged. You groaned, and unwillingly parted your lips again. The final gulp was gritty and worse than before, and you pulled away with a gag, yelping as your aching shoulder fired with renewed burning as you tried to slap a hand over your mouth to stop the gag. A straw was shoved into your mouth, Chopper informing you it was water quickly before you spat it out. You sucked it down gratefully, coming back to yourself. You noticed a warm hand on your back, between your shoulder blades, propping you up. You hadn’t even noticed you moved. Once you drained the cup, you looked to your side, realizing it was Law holding you up with a disguised look of pity on his face.
“Never give me that shit again Chopper or I’ll kick your ass” you moaned. You suddenly felt woozy. Was the world spinning? Were you floating? You blinked once, before your eyelids lowered slowly one more time.
Apparently you slept all the way through the night, waking early the next morning before the sun rose.
“Good morning!” Chopper greeted you with a smile. You smiled back at him before registering what he said.
“Morning?”
He gave you an affirmative nod.
“Yep! You slept all the way through the night. It’s about 5am now,” he informed you. You groaned. You were hungry.
“Can I get some food?”
Chopper looked at you a little sheepishly.
“N-no. See, with your surgery today, it's best if you don’t have food before the anesthesia.”
A punch of anxiety speared through your gut, and you sighed shakily.
“...right. So Law’s crew is here?”
The reindeer nodded. You took a deep breath.
“Okay. Let’s do this. I have everything to live for” you murmured. Footsteps echoed outside your door, coming closer. A quiet knock rapped three times before Law poked his head in the open door. Once he saw you were awake, he entered the room fully.
“You’re awake.”
You nodded, swallowing down your nervousness at his presence. Not only was he incredibly good looking, but he was also the one going to do your surgery. If he was here, the crew must almost be ready for you.
“I came to transport you to my ship.”
You nodded again.
“Are you ready to do… it?” you asked, a wobble in your voice. The captain nodded with his arms crossed. He seemed more professional now, like he was in the mindset of a surgeon. He knew you were referring to the surgery, not the transportation part.
“Almost. We’ve set up everything and we just need the patient to continue.”
You looked over at Chopper nervously. He gave you a smile and what could be considered a thumbs up with his tiny hoof. It made you smile.
“And you’ll be there too?” you asked the reindeer. He trotted up to your bed and pulled himself on the mattress with a little grunt.
“Of course! And Franky will be there too!” he assured you with a pat on your knee. You breathed an anxious sigh, ready for this whole thing to be over. You looked at Law.
“Luffy is going to kick your ass if you hurt or kill me” you threatened. It made you feel like at least something was in your control. The surgeon rolled his eyes.
“One, I’ve heard that from everyone on this crew, and two, you have the best experts on the Grand Line doing your surgery. You have nothing to worry about. Now let’s go,” he held out his hand in preparation for his powers.
“Room.”
“Wait! What about Franky?” you said quickly. Chopper answered for the surgeon.
“He’s already on the Polar Tang, and has been familiarizing Law’s crew with the bionic arms he made,” he said soothingly. You nodded, and squeezed your eyes shut.
“Okay I’m ready.”
“Shambles.”
You felt weightless for a second before suddenly laying on a hard, cold surface. You sucked in a breath as the cold touched the back of your neck.
“You okay?” Chopper hovered over you cautiously. You nodded with a smile.
“Fuckin hell Law, do you keep these tables in a freezer or something?” A shiver went through you as the cold seeped past your thin pajamas.
“You won’t feel the cold soon enough once you’re drugged up. Stop complaining,” He answered curtly, and you couldn’t help how he talked to you a little differently when he was in front of his crew.
“Captain!” a high pitched voice admonished. You looked over and met the eyes of a talking polar bear, fully geared up with a mask, scrubs, and rubber gloves. You smiled, recognizing him as Bepo from Law’s brief mentions of his crew. He met your eyes, concerned.
“I know the table is cold. Would you like a heated blanket?” he held up the blanket, and you nodded, shivering a little more. The bear tucked the blanket around you with the help of Chopper, who had transformed into his more human form. Two more of Law’s crew members stood at the foot of the table, with Franky’s smiling figure hulking above them.
“Hey big bro” you greeted the cyborg. He grinned back.
“Yo! Are ya ready to have my suuuuuperrrrrr Franky arms? We’ll be kinda matching!”
His enthusiasm calmed you enough to make you giggle. Determination lit in your soul with his support.
“I’m ready,” you answered. You relaxed down on the hard table, controlling your breath and turning your head so the doctors had access to your jugular vein for the IV. A gloved hand gently wiped down the area before Franky placed a hand on your cheek, reminding you of his presence and affection.
“Okay. Get ready for the poke” Chopper said. You nodded stiffly, feeling your body tense in preparation for the needle. Franky put a finger on your chin, and tilted your head to the opposite side, and you opened your eyes in confusion. Your body began to relax seeing his grinning face, and you felt the brief sting of the needle before it was taped into place.
“I’ll give the medicine now. It’ll make you woozy and sleepy, but remember you're safe, okay?” Chopper’s voice came from the other side of the bed, and you looked over at him with a nervous smile. Law was standing behind him, his golden eyes meeting yours as a small smile twitched on his lips.
“Remember what I said about Luffy,” I reminded him. Law scoffed.
“As if I would ever harm a patient.”
You nodded at Chopper, and he began pressing the plunger on the syringe. You tasted an odd, metallic taste in your mouth and you smacked your lips, looking at the doctor curiously.
“Some people can taste it” Law answered for Chopper. As soon as he said it, you felt a wave of dizzy exhaustion crash over your body, and you grunted a little, blinking hard and trying to focus your eyes.
“Relax, we got ya” Franky’s gravely voice was the last thing you heard before you let sleep overtake you again.

It's finally here! So sorry about the wait, this chapter gave me a lot of trouble but I think I'm pretty happy with how it came out!
This is the meat of their first meeting, so we finally get to see just how badly it really went lol. I hope you guys enjoy!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jimmy woke up with a start to a blaring, ear piercing sound. He let out a yelp that was thankfully covered by the loud sound as he sat up, breathing heavily. As his brain caught up with him, he realized it was the sound of an alarm. He’d learned that humans usually set them so they could wake up and get to class on time. But if it was the weekend, then why was it on? And why had no one turned it off yet? Jimmy held his hands against his ears, trying to block out the sound.
“Joel! Turn off your alarm!” Jimmy heard Grian yell over the blaring bleeps, sounding annoyed and groggy, having also been jostled awake by the alarm.
Joel groaned and Jimmy watched as Joel’s hand came out from the bed and blindly tapped on his phone. The noise stopped and Jimmy let his hands fall with a sigh of relief.
 “Seriously, Joel?” Grian asked.
“Sorry, I forgot to turn it off!” Joel said, also annoyed by his own mistakes.
“The two days we get to sleep in and you forgot to turn your alarm off for one of them.” Grian continued.
“I get it! You can shut up already!” Joel yelled back and then both were silent for a long moment. Jimmy thought they had both fallen back asleep until Grian spoke up again.
“...We should probably get up.” He said and then Jimmy felt the bed above him shifting before Grian’s feet hit the floor to Jimmy’s right.
“Yeah, yeah. I can’t go back to sleep after that anyway.” Joel agreed and Jimmy noticed him getting up and out of bed as well.
As the two humans went about their morning routines, Jimmy’s stomach growled and ached. Jimmy licked his lips as he realized it had now been a full day since he had last eaten anything and about the same since he’d had a drink of water. He was really starting to feel the effects of that now.
Still, there was nothing he could do about it.
Jimmy curled in on himself and watched the humans walk around the room, doing various things. They finally picked up their old clothes, throwing them in two separate hampers in the corner of the room. They then both took turns in the bathroom, walking out dressed and then started discussing breakfast.
Jimmy tried to tune them out as they talked about food, feeling his stomach ache with every mention.
“I don’t really feel like going anywhere though.” Jimmy caught as he zoned back in. It was Joel who had spoken.
“We can get it delivered then.” Grian answered and then it was silent for a moment. At this angle, Jimmy could only see their legs and feet, so he was unsure what they were doing. “Okay…you want the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich?” Grian asked and Jimmy realized they must be ordering on their phone. He had seen a lot of college students do that before.
Food delivered right to your door, whenever you wanted, sounded like a dream if Jimmy was being honest.
“Yeah, but add avocado and ham. Extra toasted.” Joel listed and Jimmy could just barely hear Grian typing on his phone now that he knew what was happening.
“Got it…” There was another second of silence. “Okay, it’s all ordered. Should be here in 25 minutes.”
“Cool. Wanna look for another movie to watch while we wait?” Joel suggested and Jimmy could already see him going over to his desk to grab his laptop. The typing on the laptop was a lot louder than the phone had been.
“Sure, I’m down for a movie day.” Grian said and then met Joel over by his desk. Both humans were hunched over, talking back and forth over what movies they wanted to watch that day. Jimmy barely paid attention to what they were saying, not really understanding it anyway.
25 minutes later, at least, Jimmy assumed it was around then considering what Grian had said before, there was a knock at the door. Jimmy jumped, startled by the sudden loud thud and his eyes honed in on the door. Grian went to answer it, opening the door to grab the food.
“Thanks.” Grian said, food in hand and then shut the door as the delivery driver started to walk away. Grian turned back around and placed the bag on Joel’s desk.
The aroma hit Jimmy all at once. It smelled so good.
Another ache in his stomach made him wince.
“Here, you can grab yours. We can watch the movie on my bed.” Grian said and then picked up his sandwich and the laptop, heading closer to Jimmy. Jimmy tensed slightly but of course Grian was coming this way, he was underneath his bed after all.
“Sounds good to me!” Joel said. “That just means I get a crumb free bed tonight.”
“You better not be leaving crumbs in my bed.” Grian said and despite Jimmy not being able to see him, he could picture the glare on his face clear as day.
“What happens, happens.” Joel said and then chuckled. He grabbed his sandwich, unwrapping it and taking a bite as he headed over toward Grian and his bed. Jimmy watched with increased interest as a piece of bacon dropped from his sandwich and onto the floor.
 Joel paused. “Whoops.”
“Joel.” Grian said, disappointment clear in his tone. “Could you not?”
“Oh come on, it wasn’t even that much.” Joel continued walking, getting into the bed on the opposite side Grian did.
“You’re not even gonna pick it up?” Grian asked, incredulously.
“Eh, I’ll do it later.” Joel said, muffled from a bite of food.
“Unbelievable.” Grian said but didn’t get up himself to go pick it up either. Instead, Jimmy heard the start of the movie going as the two humans got comfortable and ate their food.
Jimmy was barely paying any attention to them though, all his focus was on that small sliver of bacon that had fallen from Joel’s sandwich. He licked at his dry lips, wanting nothing more than to run out there and grab it.
But he couldn’t. Not yet at least. Grian and Joel had just barely started their movie, they could still not be fully engrossed into it yet.
But also, he couldn’t wait until they went to bed either. He was sure the bacon piece would be picked up and thrown away as soon as they were done. Jimmy couldn’t let that happen though. He needed to eat. He also needed water but that was something he would have to try for later on. Maybe he could try and get into the bathroom and up to the sink later tonight?
He shook his head. He needed to focus on what was in front of him first. And that was a piece of food that was threatening to disappear if Jimmy didn’t act fast enough.
If Jimmy waited just a bit longer, he could run out quickly and grab it before either human had a chance to look up. And hopefully, if they tried to look for it and saw that it was missing, they would only assume they had accidentally kicked it away.
It was his best option and his only one at this point. He really needed to eat, so he would have to take the risk.
He waited until Grian and Joel were halfway into their second movie. The humans had already finished eating and had tossed their trash onto Grian’s side table, not wanting to get up to throw it away yet. They seemed completely engrossed into the movie, at least as far as Jimmy could tell. If he was going to do this, now would be the time.
Jimmy took a deep breath and got closer to the edge of the bed, but not quite going out into the open yet. He heard the movie playing in the background, the humans themselves quiet as they watched. He eyed the bacon halfway across the room and then, without any more hesitation, Jimmy quickly and as quietly as he could, took off.
He darted across the room, making it in less than a minute. He quickly picked up the piece of bacon, holding his prize close to his chest. He was about to turn around and head back to under the bed, when suddenly, he heard one of the human’s gasp.
Jimmy tensed but tried to keep his nerves calm. The humans were watching a movie after all, they could just be reacting to that. Hopefully.
Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to be the case.
“What…is that?” One of them spoke, Jimmy didn’t care to distinguish who it was, too busy feeling his nerves spike as he realized they had seen him.
Jimmy dropped the bacon and ran toward Joel’s bed, not wanting to risk trying to get back underneath Grian’s. As soon as he had moved, he heard the humans’ shout something and jump off the bed, their movie paused and all but forgotten.
Jimmy could feel the thuds of the humans’ feet as they followed after him but thankfully Jimmy had a head start. He was able to reach underneath the bed before either human could catch up to him. Jimmy went all the way to the back wall, pressing himself against it as he looked at the legs and feet of the humans only a few feet away from him. His breaths were rapid and his eyes were blown wide as he realized just how dire of a situation he was in.
He might have managed to get under the bed in time but he was far from safe.
The humans had appeared to pause for a second as soon as Jimmy disappeared underneath the bed. “Was that some sort of mouse?” Joel asked, though his unsure tone was enough to tell that he already knew the answer to that question was a resounding no. Still, Grian answered.
“That was definitely not a mouse.” Grian said, breaths slightly heavy at the sudden excitement. “It…It looked like a tiny person.”
“Okay, so I wasn’t just seeing things then. Good to know.” Joel said. “A tiny person…”
Suddenly, without warning, Grian’s knees hit the floor and he twisted his body so he could peer underneath the bed. His eyes scanned the area and Jimmy felt himself freeze, a shiver running down his spine as he met eyes with the human.
The human’s eyes widened, filled with shock and awe. “There it is.” Grian practically whispered, the shock also clear in his tone. “It…It really is a tiny person.”
“Really?” Jimmy heard Joel say but he tried his best to block it all out.
Jimmy wanted nothing more than to just not be here. He was trapped, not just underneath the bed, between a wall and a pair of humans, but in the entire room itself. Even if he managed to hide again, which was looking close to impossible now, he was sure the two humans would tear the entire room apart looking for him.
And they would find him. Because he was trapped.
Jimmy was suddenly finding it very hard to breathe. His worst fear was coming true and there was nothing he could do to stop it. He pressed further into the wall, trying to ground himself, trying to forget for just a moment that there were a pair of human eyes on him, just long enough to try and catch his breath.
Unfortunately, this meant he wasn’t paying attention to what the humans were doing. He suddenly heard a noise of strain and foolishly looked back toward the human only to nearly jump out of his own skin as a hand started to reach for him. Jimmy yelped, wishing for all the world that he could just melt into the wall. But, thankfully, it seemed Jimmy was safe for now, as the hand only got about halfway underneath the bed before it stopped.
 They couldn’t reach him.
 Small victories.
“I can’t reach it.” Grian said with a grunt and then the hand retreated after a moment, once again leaving a clear view of Grian’s face. The human bit his lip. “Hey, it’s okay. You can come out.” Grian said, speaking to Jimmy for the first time. “Come on little guy.”
Jimmy didn’t so much as move a muscle, let alone answer. Like he would just walk right up to the human. They must think he was an idiot or something.
Jimmy realized, as soon as the thought entered his mind, that they probably did. Maybe not in those simple terms but…were they even aware he could understand them? Humans always looked down on his kind, not quite seeing them as people. And based on the condescending tone Grian used, it wasn’t hard to see that that’s what was happening here.
Grian tried reaching for him again and Jimmy couldn’t help the small whimper that escaped him. He knew Grian couldn’t reach him from here but he couldn’t help but keep his eyes on the hand trying, afraid that if he were to tear them away that, somehow, the hand would grab him.
Unfortunately, he was so focused on Grian, he had forgotten about Joel.
Jimmy’s attention jumped to the legs of the bed, which were suddenly moving forward. Jimmy frowned, his scrambled, fear-filled brain trying to make sense of what was happening. The darkness let up as the bed moved, revealing the lights above. Jimmy looked up in confused fear, his eyes darting back and forth between the new opening and Grian.
And then there was a hand descending down, heading right toward him. Jimmy had no time to even try to run, the only thing he could do was duck down, trying to make himself even smaller. It didn’t help though, in fact, it made it worse. The hand engulfed his entire body in less time than Jimmy could comprehend and he found himself completely enveloped in the fist, his body scrunched up even tighter at the lack of room. He then felt the hand shoot back up, bringing Jimmy with it.
As he was brought up, another hand joined the one he was trapped in. He now found himself held in between two hands, which, while offering him more room, was no less terrifying.
Jimmy struggled within the hands confines, kicking away at the fingers that were larger than his entire body. They didn’t so much as budge though, his efforts and struggles all for nothing. His breathing came out in short pants as he realized this. As he realized he had been well and truly caught.
“I got it!” He heard Joel exclaim, much too close and far too loud. Jimmy flinched away but there really was no point when he was literally in the human’s hands. He was already much closer than he had ever wanted to be to a human.
“Nice work, Joel.” Grian said and Jimmy heard some shuffling. He could only assume Grian was standing back up.
Jimmy closed his eyes. He could imagine the two humans, both surrounding him and staring down at where he was still hidden from view within Joel’s cupped hands. Looks of awe and curiosity, faces full of smirks and grins. He wouldn’t have to imagine for long though.
He opened his eyes back up just in time to see a small gap start to open up in Joel’s hands. Jimmy tensed up even more and couldn’t help the yelp as the fingers parted away to reveal a giant eye. Jimmy backed away as much as he could in the cramped space, but while it but distance between him and the eye, it only put him closer to the curve of Joel’s hand. He froze, doing his best to stay in the center of the hand, to avoid the most contact.
The eye was wide as it took him in before it left and the gap quickly closed back up. “This is so weird…” Joel said, trailing off. “I can’t believe this is real.”
“It doesn’t even look like there could be anything in your hands.” Grian said, his voice in awe.
“Oh, it’s-he’s? Definitely in there.” Joel said with a slight unbelieving chuckle. Jimmy weakly tried to kick at the walls of flesh again, despite knowing it wouldn’t do anything. “This is so weird. I can feel his tiny legs kicking me.”
“Okay, well come on. Open up, I want to see it.” Grian said.
“Okay, okay.” Joel said and that was all the warning Jimmy got as Joel’s hands opened up. Jimmy shut his eyes tight, not unfurling himself from his curled up position. He didn’t want to see them. He didn’t want this to be real.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t given a choice, as suddenly, the human’s thumb slid itself underneath his curled up body. It managed to easily break apart his curled up position and ended up pressing gently against his chest before maneuvering him into a seated position in the hand. He was manhandled so easily, so casually. His struggles didn’t even compare.
The thumb didn’t move. It stayed pressed against his chest and Jimmy felt constricted, like he could barely breathe. Even though he knew the pressure wasn’t enough to block any air, the panic was doing a good enough job of that anyway.
“Wow, his heartbeat is going crazy.” Joel commented, able to feel Jimmy’s pulse under the pad of his thumb. The human’s voice pulled Jimmy’s eyes up in that direction and…well, it was exactly like how he had imagined it. But worse. The humans were so close, their eyes looking him up and down, full of that awe and curiosity he had guessed but that still had Jimmy’s heart racing even faster at actually seeing it. He cowered further back into the hand, though the thumb still pressed against his chest kept him from being able to move too much.
“He’s probably scared.” Grian noted. “Or maybe it’s because of how small he is. Don’t small creatures have faster heart rates?” He looked toward Joel, eyebrow raised.
Joel blinked at him. “I don’t know, why are you asking me? You’re the biology major here.”
Grian chose to ignore that and looked back down at Jimmy. “It’s probably a bit of both, honestly.” Grian said, and then leaned down a bit more, his face coming closer to Jimmy. Jimmy let out a small whine, trying to lean back as far as he could away from the human. “It’s okay little guy, we’re not going to hurt you.”
Jimmy swallowed the lump that had been forming in his throat. They were speaking to him again and of course it was with that same condescending tone. But even without the tone, could Jimmy really even believe them? The words were empty, something to be said in the hopes that they could get their little catch to calm down and be easier to control. Jimmy knew perfectly well how humans worked.
“Can he even understand us?” Joel asked, his awe turning more toward curiosity as he looked right at Jimmy’s face for any signs of recognition.
“I mean…he’s very human-like. I’d be a bit surprised if he couldn’t.” Still, Jimmy saw the look of doubt on Grian’s face. Grian turned to look back down at Jimmy and titled his head. “Can you understand us?”
Jimmy froze, not knowing what he should reveal. Would it be better to answer? Worse? Jimmy didn’t know. He didn’t know what these humans wanted from him. He blinked back some tears, refusing to cry. And then, with a lot of hesitation, Jimmy nodded. Better that they ran with him being more human-like than turning to him being more animal-like, he supposed.
Despite Grian’s earlier words, both humans looked very surprised that Jimmy could indeed understand the two of them.
“Did…he just nod?” Joel asked, looking to Grian to see if he saw the same thing.
“He…did. Wow, okay, so he really can understand us.” Grian said, his eyes wide. “That’s amazing.” He breathed out, his awe returning tenfold.
“Wait, if you can understand us,” Joel started, turning back toward Jimmy, who flinched. “Then does that mean you can also talk?”
Despite the fact Jimmy didn’t think he could talk right now, at this moment, due to the panic still invading his chest, he gave another little nod. Might as well tell them that too, while he found himself revealing things. Wasn’t like it was a huge leap anyway, from being able to understand them to also being able to talk.
He watched as Joel grinned at his nod, an excitement in his eyes that had Jimmy’s nerves feel like they were on fire. “Well, you have to say something now. Don’t leave us in suspense.”
Again, Jimmy didn’t think he could even if he wanted to. The pressure on his chest was starting to become uncomfortable now and if he opened his mouth to even try, he feared no words would come out. He shook his head and looked away, not knowing how they would react to him denying them something.
Turns out, the reaction was a pout from Joel. “Oh come on, you can’t tell us you can talk and then not.” Joel reached out with his free hand and poked Jimmy in the side. Jimmy flinched back, his eyes wide as he watched as the hand stayed close. As if ready to attack again. “Might think you’re lying to us.” Joel’s eyes glint with mischief, his tone teasing.
That scared Jimmy more than anything, though. And suddenly things were becoming just too much. His focus zeroed in on his chest, the pressure on it was overwhelming now and Jimmy couldn’t help but want it off. He braced his hands against the thumb and pushed. He knew it wouldn’t budge, he knew he was too weak to move it but he had to try.
But surprisingly, the thumb did budge. In fact, it moved off his chest entirely. Jimmy sat there with his arms outstretched, blinking in confusion. That brief confusion soon turned into another bout of fear though, as Joel’s other hand came close once more, invading his space to snag one of his outstretched arms in between his thumb and forefinger. Jimmy’s breath hitched and he froze, scared that one wrong move would have his arm torn in two.
“Look at his little hand. It’s so small.” Joel said, his tone turning to one of child-like awe. Grian’s face came into view once more, trying to get a better look.
“All of him is small, Joel.” Grian said but he was smiling, also staring at Jimmy’s trapped arm in awe. They seemed to have moved past him being able to talk, at least for now. “Okay, my turn.” Grian suddenly said.
Jimmy was still trying to process what that meant when Grian’s hand suddenly descended upon him. His arm was dropped as Joel’s hand moved out of the way, making room for Grian to pinch Jimmy on his sides with two fingers, lifting him up and away from Joel’s palm. Jimmy kicked his feet, panic overtaking him as he looked down at the size of the drop. He had never had any problem with heights before but now, held so carelessly between pinched fingers, he was scared he would slip from the hold and drop below. A drop that would surely kill him.
Fortunately, he was not in that pinched hold for long. Instead, transferred over and placed down on Grian’s palm. There was not much difference between either hand, though Jimmy noted Grian’s hand was slightly colder than Joel’s had been.
“Hey! I wasn’t done holding him!” Joel exclaimed as Grian had forcefully taken Jimmy from his hands. Grian tutted at him, holding Jimmy close to his chest as Joel tried to reach back for him.
“You gotta learn to share.” Grian said, a smirk on his face. “And you’ve held him for long enough.” Grian said, chuckling as Joel huffed and pouted, his arms crossed.
“Fine.” Joel grumbled, but his demeanor quickly changed, coming up next to Grian in order to still see Jimmy clearly. He grinned. “It feels cool holding him though, right?”
Grian hummed and Jimmy felt a shiver go down his spine at how Grian was scrutinizing him. Grian’s thumb came over to his side and started rubbing along his arm. Jimmy tried to flinch away but, of course, he was trapped on the hand. “It’s definitely weird.” Grian said after a moment. “Having an entire person in your hand…” He trailed off, the thumb lifting slightly to move some of his hair out of his face. Again, Jimmy flinched.
This was painful, agonizingly so. Not knowing what was going to happen. Not knowing what these humans had planned for him. They were still in the awe and curiosity stages, still content with simply looking and touching him. Which was already terrifying enough. But soon, soon that would pass and something would actually be done to him. The thought left him shaking.
Grian frowned. “I think he’s still scared.” Grian said, noticing the slight tremors coming from the little person in his hand.
“Oh, you’re right.” Joel said, also noticing. “It’s okay, little guy, we’re not going to hurt you. Promise.” Joel said, repeated Grian’s words from earlier. “I mean, come on, we haven’t hurt you so far, right?”
They hadn’t hurt him yet. That much was true. But again, words didn’t mean anything. Besides…there were worse things they could do to him, if they truly weren’t planning on hurting him. Worse things…like being trapped, or kept…or…
Jimmy was shaking even harder now, his mind going to the worst possible things.
Joel frowned and turned to Grian. “He wasn’t shaking like that in my hands. You should give him back.”
Grian glared at him, holding Jimmy a bit closer. “He’s fine, I can handle it.” Grian was not giving up his turn with the tiny person so easily. Grian turned his attention back to him, once again moving his thumb, this time to rub against the little person’s back. “See? You’re okay.” Grian said to the guy.
Jimmy was certainly not okay. The furthest thing from okay, actually.
“Okay, my turn again.” Joel said, not letting anyone process his words before diving in and grabbing Jimmy from Grian’s hand. Joel’s fingers curled around his body, just a little too tight and Jimmy gasped.
Instead of putting him back on Joel’s open palm though, he was kept like that. And Jimmy squirmed within the grasp, his chest tight with panic and the pressure.
“Joel!” Grian exclaimed, so loud that Jimmy winced, unable to block his ears because his arms were trapped in Joel’s grip. “Give him back!”
“Nope. Gotta learn to share.” Joel said, repeating Grian’s own words with a smirk of his own. “Besides, I think it’s time we got some answers.” At those words, Jimmy froze. He glanced up, meeting Joel’s eyes on accident. He knew them knowing he could talk would come back up.
Grian’s frustration at Joel taking the tiny person from him ebbed away as his own curiosity got the better of him. It seemed both humans had forgotten about his fear.
Or, more realistically, they were just ignoring it now.
“So…what are you?” Joel asked, bringing Jimmy closer to eye level. Both humans were looking at him again. Not that they had ever stopped but now they were really looking. Like despite asking the question, they were still trying to figure it out for themselves.
Jimmy shifted, at least, as much as he could in the grip. What would they do if he didn’t answer? Would the grip around him grow tighter? Would they take back their words of not hurting him? Jimmy didn’t want to find out but his throat still felt blocked from fear. “I-I…I…” He tried, his voice shaky and his words stuttering.
Grian and Joel leaned in even closer, eyes wide with awe. “He really can speak.” Grian muttered, despite the fact Jimmy had only managed to say the same one word three times.
The hand finally opened up around him, and he all but fell into Joel’s open palm. There was no sense of relief for Jimmy, though. “Come on, what are you?” Joel asked once more, pressing him to try and speak again. Jimmy tried his best to swallow the lump in his throat.
“I’m…I’m a borrower.” He finally forced out, not meeting their eyes. Joel blinked, having gotten his answer but not knowing what that meant.
“A what?” Joel asked, feeling confused. He wasn’t sure what he had expected, but it definitely wasn’t that.
Grian hummed, looking like he was in deep thought for a moment, the name triggering something deep in his mind. “Why does that sound familiar…?” He muttered to himself. Joel turned to look at him, raising an eyebrow.
“Huh?” He asked Grian but Grian just shook his head.
“Nothing. Not important.” Grian turned his attention back to, what was apparently, a borrower. “So, what does that mean? What’s a borrower?” Grian asked.
Jimmy winced, but he had known simply saying what he was wouldn’t be enough for them. “I’m like you…just smaller. We, um, borrow things from humans…in order to survive.” Though it was easier to talk now, his panic had not lessened at all. He refused to look up at them as he spoke, afraid the words would catch in his throat again if he did.
“I’ve never heard of anything like that before.” Joel commented and looked to Grian who only gave a shrug in response. Joel grinned as he turned back towards the borrower, poking him in the side again. “Although, based on what you described, it sounds more like you’re a little thief instead.”
Jimmy tensed, Joel unknowingly hitting a sore spot for Jimmy and his kind. Before he could stop himself, the words flowed. “We don’t steal, we-we just take what you wouldn’t miss.” Jimmy bit back and then shot a hand over his mouth when he realized what he had said. But instead of being angry, Joel let out a surprised laugh.
“Oh, so the borrower can also talk back, huh?” Joel grinned and Jimmy felt a deep fear settle in his gut. “That’s so cute.” Shame rose up and showed on Jimmy’s cheeks. The condescending tone was starting to grate on his nerves.
“I think that still counts as stealing.” Grian also chimed in and then reached over and once again plucked Jimmy off of Joel’s hands. Jimmy yelped and Joel startled, turning to glare at Grian.
“Okay, no, that was definitely still my turn that time.” Joel said, his tone frustrated. Before Jimmy could even fully sit down on Grian’s palm, Joel was grabbing him again.
“Joel! Seriously, I want to hold him too.” Grian said, eyes narrowed and then reached his hand to grab for Jimmy again. Joel pulled his hands back, jostling Jimmy and making him feel dizzy. “You’re actually going to hurt him if you keep grabbing him and moving him around like that!”
“Hey! You’re the one who grabbed him first!” Joel yelled and Jimmy placed his hands over his ears, their voices too loud, too much.
Everything was too much. Their voices, their touches, their anger. They didn’t see him as a person, just an object, something to argue over, something to keep and look at and-and-and--
“Stop!” He yelled and both humans froze. Jimmy was currently in Grian’s hands again, but Joel’s hand was close by, having reached out to grab him once again. They looked down at him, eyes wide and Jimmy had to quickly look away as tears began to form. They fell as he closed his eyes tight, hugging himself. “Please stop…please…please just let me go…”
It was silent for a long, long moment. Jimmy could feel his heart beat in his head, pounding as he waited for what the humans would do to him. He shook as he let himself finally cry, it being long overdue.
“Oh…blummin’ hell…” He heard Joel mutter and Jimmy flinched. The hand he was on started to move then and Jimmy gasped and held himself tighter, waiting for the grip to close around him and squeeze, or for him to be put in some sort of-of cage or jar or something…
Jimmy’s eyes flew open as he was placed on a hard surface and looked just in time to see Grian’s hands leave. He looked around, expecting to see glass or bars but…he had simply been placed on the nightstand. Joel’s nightstand, if he wasn’t mistaken.
“Hey…” Grian’s voice cut through his thoughts and he flinched, eyes snapping up to look at the two humans towering over him. They looked…sad. Maybe even upset. That only terrified Jimmy more, his fear outweighing his confusion. Grian, when he noticed Jimmy’s attention was on him, continued. “We’re…we’re really sorry. We didn’t…we didn’t realize how much we were scaring you.”
Jimmy blinked, his mind going blank as the confusion came back. They were…sorry? What? What was going on?
“We were just…curious.” Joel chimed in, his words falling a bit flat. He rubbed the back of his neck and looked away from Jimmy. “I guess that’s really not an excuse though, huh?”
Jimmy didn’t know what was happening. One minute they were fighting over him, treating him like a toy they had found, and now…now they were apologizing to him? “What…What are you doing?” Jimmy’s voice was still shaky, his cheeks still wet with tears, but he had to know.
Grian winced. “We’re apologizing. Because…we messed up.” Grian and Joel exchanged a glance with each other, before Grian turned back to Jimmy. “And, well…you told us to stop. So we did.”
Jimmy took in a shaky breath, unbelieving. “I really wasn’t expecting you to actually listen.” At his words, both humans winced once again.
“Yeah…” Joel said with a sigh. “That’s definitely on us.”
There was a pause, all three of them not knowing what to do. Jimmy could still feel himself trembling but now the fear was joined by something else. Something unknown. After a moment, Grian lowered himself to be more eye level with Jimmy. Jimmy flinched at the sudden movement and eye contact and Grian bit his lip at the reaction.
“I know it’s not much, but we really are sorry. We’re not going to hurt you and we’re not…going to grab you again.” Grian said, his voice far softer than Jimmy had ever heard it. “We definitely went about this all wrong.” Grian said with a slight self-deprecating laugh.
“Really wrong. We’re idiots.” Joel said, his tone also self-deprecating. “Grabbing you, fighting over you. We were treating you like a blummin’...I don’t know. But we weren’t treating you like a person.”
Grian nodded in agreement and Jimmy’s eyes widened at their words. Could they really be…but that didn’t make any sense. Humans weren’t like that. Right? They acted like Grian and Joel had before, not…not like this.
“Hey.” Grian said again, getting Jimmy’s attention. His smile was small, not quite meeting his eyes, and his voice low. “We should have asked this first but…what’s your name?”
Jimmy felt his throat close up at how much he wanted to cry again. No one had asked him his name in…years. Of course, this was also his first time talking to anyone in just as long. But the sentiment was still there. Especially to be asked his name by a human…things really had taken a 180 here.
“...J-Jimmy.” He managed to get out. It felt weird to say his name out loud.
“It’s good to meet you Jimmy.” Grian said and if it was weird to hear his own voice say his name, it was definitely weird hearing it come out of a human’s mouth. “I’m Grian. And this is Joel.”
“I know.” Jimmy said and then hunched in on himself when he realized what he had said. But the humans didn’t appear angry, just…confused.
“You know?” Joel asked, uncrossing his arms and tilting his head.
“I-I mean, I didn’t, I…well…” Jimmy tried to come up with something, waving his hands in front of him as he did so.
“You must have overheard it, right?” Grian chimed in, interrupting Jimmy’s stuttering. Jimmy tensed, looking at Grian.
“I…yeah. You’ve…you’ve said it a few times. To each other.” Jimmy answered, his eyes glancing away as he lowered his hands.
“Oh, yeah I guess that makes sense.” Joel said and then paused for a moment, thinking something over. “If you don’t mind me asking…where did you come from?”
Jimmy didn’t know why he felt inclined to answer. Maybe because the humans were acting so different from before, maybe because he still felt fear at them going back to that if he didn’t, but either way, Jimmy found himself answering. “I live in the uh…the walls. Of this building.”
Joel hummed. “I guess that…makes sense?” He didn’t sound too sure of that though. “But then, what were you doing in our room?”
Jimmy bit his lip. They already thought he was some sort of thief, what would they think if he told them he was trying to borrow from them. Would they be mad?
Grian frowned at Joel’s question, wondering the same thing. But as Jimmy didn’t seem keen on answering, Grian decided to go back and walk through everything that had happened. They first saw Jimmy in the middle of the room and when he ran, Grian swears he remembers him dropping something…
Grian stood back up and looked behind him toward the floor. Something small caught his eyes and he went over to it, bending down and picking it up, bringing it with him as he went back to his full height. His eyes widened with realization when he saw the object Jimmy had dropped was the piece of bacon from Joel’s sandwich. The one that he had dropped on the floor earlier that day.
“Were you…trying to find food?” Grian asked, turning back around to look at Jimmy. Jimmy’s eyes were wide, his shaking growing once again.
“I…” Jimmy started but quickly trailed off, his arms reaching to hug himself. At the piece of food, he was suddenly reminded of just how hungry he was. The fear had dulled the ache in his stomach but now it felt like it was eating itself. The empty gnawing feeling making him curl around himself even more.
Not to mention, his dry throat. The tears had been a bad idea. He was so thirsty. The mix of fear, hunger, and dehydration was quite the messy combination.
Both Grian and Joel looked at each other and then at Jimmy and then at the piece of cold, stale bacon in Grian’s hands. It was nothing more than a crumb, trash as far as the humans were concerned but Jimmy had risked his life for it. “Oh for goodness sake…” Joel muttered to himself.
Jimmy bit his lip, eyes not leaving the piece of bacon pinched between Grian’s fingers. His stomach pains were becoming too much. And with everything else boiling over and being too much, he needed his stomach aches to lessen. He needed something to lessen and his hunger looked to be his best option right now. He swallowed thickly and glanced back up at the humans, hoping they wouldn’t be mad. “Can…can I have it? Please?” He forced himself to ask, trying to ignore the shame he felt creeping in again.
Something in Grian and Joel broke at that. To be so hungry that you would take trash left on the floor was…awful. Not to mention how scared Jimmy still was of them. To ask them despite his fear was telling, that was for sure. The two humans looked at each other for a long moment, an understanding passing over them. They nodded, knowing what they had to do. Grian turned back to Jimmy, keeping his tone as soft as possible.
 “No.”
Jimmy’s breath hitched and the arms around his midsection tightened. Of course it was going to be a no, of course. He shouldn’t have asked, now they knew how desperate he was. They could take advantage of that now.
“Hey.” Grian’s voice cut him out of those thoughts and Jimmy looked at him. “It’s not what you think. It’s just…” Grian looked to Joel, who nodded.
“We think we have a better idea.”

Holding On Forever
Ace Omens Hugfest 2024 prompt - "a sleepy hug"
“Oh my gracious, that was such a long day!” Aziraphale slumped back in the Bentley’s passenger seat, utterly drained. Oh, he could practically doze off right here. “I don’t think I ever want to talk to another person ever again.”
Crowley snorted. “Not counting me, I hope?”
“You’re not a person,” Aziraphale said through a yawn.
Another snort. “Wow. Thanks. Terrific friend, you are.”
“Oh, you know what I mean!” It was getting rather hard to think, everything muddled. And oh, how Aziraphale’s back ached. “You’re a… a… not human. That’s all I mean. Humans are people.”
“Yes. They are. You’re as groggy as I am, aren’t you?” Crowley wrenched on the steering wheel, and the Bentley hurtled down the drive. “I told you that you were overdoing it today. We shouldn’t have done the whole dinner thingy.”
Aziraphale sighed. Crowley had told him, but there were simply so many interesting antiques at the auction, and then lots of rare book collectors to scope out over the “dinner thingy”. But he’d run out of energy quite badly partway through, and pushed himself entirely too hard. And likely pushed Crowley too hard, too. “Are you all right, my dear? Okay to drive?”
“Hn, yeah. Can drive fine. Besides, my car will stop me if I’m about to drive off the road.” Yawning, Crowley patted the steering wheel.
“You didn’t answer whether you were all right.”
“Ngh.”
“I answered you earlier.”
“Yeah, and you claimed you were, and then totally ignored me when I said we should head home.” With a soft hiss, Crowley flicked his hand. Their gate swung open, and the Bentley rocketed through, headlamps illuminating the garden. “So no, I’m not very all right. My legs are bloody killing me, and I’ll be lucky if I can move tomorrow.”
Even as sleepy as he was, guilt tugged at Aziraphale’s tummy. He reached over and over rubbed Crowley’s arm. “I’m sorry. I thought you were more worried about me, rather than wanting to go home because you were in pain.”
“I was. Worried about you, I mean.” Crowley didn’t quite smile—his expression had been fixed in his default glower all day—but he softened a bit. “And s’ okay. I’m not pissed off or anything, just grumpy.”
Aziraphale had to smile at that. Yes, when it came to Crowley, there was a significant distinction between real anger and his usual irritability. And it was no wonder he was so irritable, when he was in so much pain. Aziraphale had found himself getting increasingly snippy with humans as the day wore on and he began to ache more.
“I think a hot bath may be in our future tomorrow,” Aziraphale said as the Bentley screeched to a halt right in front of the cottage. “We can have a nice long soak.”
“Sounds terrific, especially if we mix it with wine.” Groaning, Crowley shoved the door open, then grabbed his cane and struggled out of the car.
Aziraphale struggled on his way out too, rather more than usual. Ordinarily, his back just ached, a mild deterrent to doing too many things in one day. As he found himself with rather limited energy, it was rarely too much of a problem. Today, it was certainly a problem. “Ooh dear…”
“Gosh, you really screwed up, didn’t you?” Crowley asked. He limped around the Bentley and took Aziraphale’s arm, helping him straighten up. “Want tea or cocoa, or do you need to go straight to bed?”
“I want to sleep.” Aziraphale didn’t even want to spend time getting to bed. He was far too groggy, his remaining dregs of energy failing fast.
And Crowley was so close. Aziraphale stepped even closer, wrapped his arms around the narrow waist, and buried his face in Crowley’s shoulder.
“Er,” Crowley said, awkwardly catching hold of Aziraphale. He wobbled a little, then steadied as he shifted his weight to lean more solidly on his cane. “Why are we hugging?”
“Because I’m sleepy,” Aziraphale mumbled into Crowley’s chest. “And you’re nice.”
“M’ really not.”
“Comfy.”
“Uh, okay. I guess. M’ not exactly the ideal pillow you are, though.” Crowley rubbed his back, light circles that felt nice even if they couldn’t relieve the throbbing pain all along Aziraphale’s spine. “Should probably have a drink of some sort to relax before bed. S’ part of the routine, and I bet neither one of us will be able to sleep if we don’t. D’ya wanna head in?”
Aziraphale kept his arms locked around Crowley. He could happily hold onto Crowley forever. “I don’t want to move.”
“Well, me neither, but I really don’t think sleeping standing up is gonna do wonders for my legs or your back.” Crowley pressed a slow, tender kiss to his neck, then nuzzled into his hair. “C’mon, angel. I know you’re outta energy, but you’ll feel better if we go have some cocoa.”
“Oh, all right.” Yawning, Aziraphale let go, and then immediately captured Crowley’s free hand. “I know I ordinarily insist on making cocoa properly, but in this instance…”
He yawned again, unable to finish his sentence. Crowley squeezed his hand and coaxed him into motion. “Miracled it is. I’ll make you a proper cup tomorrow, provided I can stand.”
“Thank you, dear boy.” Aziraphale managed a sleepy smile. “You really are quite good to me, you know.”
Crowley’s scowl softened again, this time into a full smile. “I know.”

The hotel shook and the screaming and yelling from the penthouse could be heard down in the bar.
Husk poured another couple drinks and pushed bottles that threatened to fall off the shelves in that last shake back against the wall. He took his shot and shook his head. “I feel sorry for the poor bastard Adam’s screaming at.”
“You’re telling me?” Angel laughed, “the worst trick hell’s ever played was giving him that voice. I’m four floors down and I can hear it when king shrimp makes him cum.”
“Yes. It can be quiet, loud.” Alastor’s smile faltered for a moment as he grimaced.
Nifty giggled as she swirled around and around on the stool, “Alastor’s been sleeping in his broadcast-“
“That’s quite enough, my friend.” Alastor interrupted, embarrassed.
She just giggled harder as he spun her seat harder to distract her from talking.
“I’m just glad Charlie and Vaggie are out on a date. Charlie would want to fix things and then Adam would realize I’m down here and I left a mindless clone up there to take his wrath.” Lucifer grabbed the shot Husk poured for him and threw it back.
He really had his doubts about this whole thing with Adam. The man could be insufferable. Rude. Critical. A real fucking bastard towards women and sinners. But fuck if he couldn’t get lost in those golden eyes. When Adam wasn’t using the voice he was cursed with to scream the flesh off people, it was sweet and enchanting. In the dark it whispered sweet nothings into Lucifer’s ear. They shared stories about the loneliness of facing eternity without someone to love or love them back and Lucifer felt the connection of a kindred spirit. He had good points too. Like how Adam liked all the animals he saw, could name every plant in hell, and always seemed to have a candy to hand out to a child.
This was another one of their fights about just that though. Children.
Adam seemed to want a baby so badly. Lucifer wasn’t sure. They had been fight about it everyday for a week as Adam tried to get Lucifer to at least pick a side.
It came out of the blue. Adam started asking about Lucifer’s thoughts and feelings about having a family of their own but he was never happy with the answer.
The screaming died down to a rumble and Lucifer knew Adam had worn himself out from the anger and was now sobbing.
Much safer.
He took his double’s place and wrapped his arms around the sobbing Adam clinging to him. Adam wasn’t normally such crier but their fights always left him in his state.
“I don’t understand, Adam. Why are you so adamant that I need to get on board with having a kid right away? Adoption will take months. We’re not even married and the paperwork-“
“I’m pregnant, you idiot.”
“Alone will take months. And-“
“Lucifer, listen to me.”
“There’s the planning and decorating and I’m not sure I’m ready to get married plus I’d have to get divorced first.”
“Lucifer! You’re not listening to me. I’m pregnant!”
“I am so listening! I hear you. You’re pregnant. I’m trying to talk to you like you wanted about having kids, but I don’t think we’re in a place to adopt a child. I don’t know what that has to do with you being pregnant- Pregnant!?” He stumbled over the word again and froze. Lucifer looked into Adam’s red and puffy eyes. “Oh. OH! You’re but, you’re. And I’m. And. How?!?” He voice kept getting higher and higher until he sounded like he was breathing helium and hyperventilating as he did.
Adam wiped his eyes and rested his head on Lucifer’s shoulder. “I don’t know. I had that check up last week. The doctor was palatating my abdomen, thought it felt off and sent me for an ultrasound. There it was.” Adam barked out an incredulous laugh. “If I hadn’t see the picture, I wouldn’t have believed it either.”
“How. How far? When is? Oh god, this a cruel trick.” Lucifer tipped his head back to glare up at god. “You kept Lilith and I from having a child for how long? And it’s barely been four months with Adam?? The fuck?!? He’s not even a woman! What the fuck?!?”
Lucifer didn’t care in this second that Adam could hear him. He was pissed. God was screwing with him. He’d probably wait until they were so fucking happy that the baby was almost there and try to yank it away. How many of his children are buried on the palace grounds?
Adam had pulled away but Lucifer didn’t notice. He got up to pace the room and fume.
Pulling his knees up to his chin, Adam began to cry again. It only a few angry steps for Lucifer to realize he’d fucked up.
“I’m so sorry, Adam.” Lucifer stumbled over his words. His own tears welling up. “Don’t get attached to it. Okay? It’ll hurt less when God takes it from us. Trust me. I’ve gone through this more times than I can count. You get numb to it eventually. You’ll stop feeling happiness, for a few pregnancies you’ll just feel dread, then you’ll be numb to it and it won’t hurt so bad when god takes them from us.” He wiped at the hot tears running down his cheeks and tried to smile reassuringly.
Adam looked at him in horror. His hand moved to cover his mouth and he pushed himself deep into the cushions but he could utter out, “what makes you so sure I’ll lose the baby?”
“Because I can’t have good things. Charlie, Charlie was a miracle. Maybe god took pity on us for once or was too busy doing something else. But she’s the only one that made it.” Lucifer held out a hand and pulled Adam to his feet. “I’ll show you.”
They teleported to the graveyard. Rows and rows of stones and markers. Each etched with a name and date. How far along Lilith had been.
“I use to plant trees and flowers. But,” Lucifer shrugged, letting the numbness fill him. “Named them up to a point.”
“This one,” Adam stared down at the last one.
“We didn’t know until the miscarriage she was expecting again.”
“It’s dated just before she came to heaven.”
“She couldn’t take it anymore. We did everything we could to prevent her from getting pregnant after the first dozen or so. It hurt too much to keep trying. It never worked.”
Lucifer turned from the graves and went the collection of grave markers he kept. “Did you want to give it a name? Maybe pick a spot out?”
“Jesus Christ, Lucifer. No.” He grabbed Lucifer by the shoulders and pulled him into a hug.
Enveloped by Adam’s warmth, tears that had stopped flowed freely once more.
“I’m not Lilith. She was cursed, remember? I wasn’t. You weren’t. If something happens then it happens, but we can try again. And it’s not because of a curse by god or heaven. It just is.” Adam squeezed a little harder. “The baby is fine. I’m almost halfway along. It’s a boy. The doctor had only good things to say.”
Lucifer cling to Adam.
One of Adam’s hands found Lucifer’s and pressed it against Adam’s belly. There was a small but strong kick. Lucifer’s heart swelled with something he hadn’t felt in a long time.
Hope.

Today was not John B's day.
He woke up in a shitty mood and everything else just went along with that. He burnt his pancakes, he forgot to pay the water bill so he was stuck with cold water as a shower. He forgot to do laundry so he had to wear his dirty clothes. And the Camerons were being more asshole-ish than usual.
He just wanted to go home and eat, relaxing while watching a TV show. So why did Ward make him clean the yacht for the second time this week?
He texted you throughout working and you felt really bad. You wanted to do something that would cheer him up.
He heard a ding and pulled out his phone.
Y/N:) 💋☀️ oh, im sorry to hear that baby:/
Y/N:) 💋☀️ do u wanna come over and watch something?<3 maybe that'll help
Y/N:) 💋☀️ i love u jb:)
He smiled at your texts as he sent a quick text back, not wanting to hear another lecture about phones from Ward again.
JB 😎 No worries babe 😘💕 I love u too
JB 😎 That sounds like heaven 😫 Be there at 6 x

Work couldn't have even sooner for John B. He was so excited to go see you; he's felt like it's been weeks even though in reality, it's only been maybe a day. Today just felt so long but he knew that one kiss from you, and all that stress would go away.
He pulled up to your house and quickly got out. He was prepared to spend the entire night with you, sleeping in your arms so that all his stress would melt away.
He knocked at the door and your mother answered, letting him know you had just got down with your shower and that you were upstairs. She also reminded John B to knock before going in.
As he was told, he knocked before going in.
"Mom, I'll be down in a minute, let me finish my skincare."
"It's not mom, It's John B."
You quickly jumped out of your chair and ran to the door, opening it and embracing John B. He smiled at your enthusiasm.
"Oh, John B. I missed you."
He leaned into you, sighing in content. "Me, too, baby. Me, too."
"I was just going to finish my skincare and we can go get some popcorn and eat, okay?"
"Um, actually. I think after the day I've had, I need a mask."
You smiled at your boyfriend. Your glad your skincare is rubbing off on him because you wanted him to relax (you also didn't want him to age badly). "Of course, baby! Just uh, go take a quick shower and we can get started!"
He didn't even have the energy to be offended at your underlining comment so he just nodded and went into your bathroom, closing the door.
As he showered, you got the candy and popcorn ready. He got out and he sighed in relaxation. He then looked at the bowl next to your bed to find his favorite candy. "Ooo."
He took a handful before you came in with a huge grin on your face. "Okay, we have either a peach collagen mask or a vitamin d matcha mask."
He laughed immaturely at the mention of D. "Vitamin D, of course."
You rolled your eyes playfully as you put down the other mask, opening the vitamin d sheet mask. "Did you wash your face?" You asked before putting it on.
"Yes."
"With my CeraVe cleanser?"
He nodded and sighed as if that was the most obvious thing in the world. But if you asked him that a few months ago, he would've asked who CeraVe was and what a cleanser is. You're glad you've taught him well.
You smiled at that, nodding. "Good."
You put on the mask and John B felt his muscles relaxing from your soft touch, and the gentleness of the sheet mask on his face. "This feels so nice. I can't remember a time when I didn't use masks."
"Mhm, I bet your skin feels the same."
He sighed contently as you fully adjusted the mask to his face. You walked away towards your mini-fridge to get a Jade roller. You went back to John B and started massaging his face with it.
"Wow, this feels nice. Is how the rich feel?" John B commented as you laughed.
You kept massaging for a few minutes before stopping, making John B groan. You rolled your eyes.
"My arms hurt, John B, I can't do this until it dries."
He sighed and nodded, "Okay fine."
John B then went to go sit on your bed and turn on the TV as you put your mask on. John B then went to the bedside table and grabbed the popcorn, eating it happily.
You smiled at your boyfriend. You're glad that he feels better now. You got into the bed too, taking some of the popcorn and eating it.
"Okay, babe. It's your pick, what're we watching?"
"21 Jump Street."
You sighed. "... Again?"
"Oh shush, I know you love staring at Channing Tatum."
You rolled your eyes playfully, knowing it was true.

florence + the machine lyrics, high as hope edition
A SIDE
❛ i'm so high, i can see an angel. ❜ ❛ i hear your heart beating in your chest. ❜ ❛ the world slows 'till there's nothing left. ❜ ❛ in those heavy days in june when love became an act of defiance. ❜ ❛ hold onto each other. ❜ ❛ you were broken-hearted and the world was, too. ❜ ❛ i was beginning to lose my grip. i always held it loosely but this time i admit, i felt it really start to slip. ❜ ❛ at seventeen, i started to starve myself. ❜ ❛ i thought that love was a kind of emptiness. ❜ ❛ at least, i understood then the hunger i felt & i didn't have to call it loneliness. ❜ ❛ we all have a hunger. ❜ ❛ don't let it get you down, you're the best thing i've seen. ❜ ❛ we never found the answer but we knew one thing. ❜ ❛ in that pink dress, they're gonna crucify me. ❜ ❛ how could anything bad ever happen to you? ❜ ❛ you make a fool of death with your beauty. ❜ ❛ i thought that love was in the drugs. ❜ ❛ the more i took, the more it took away and i could never get enough. ❜ ❛ for a moment, i forgot to worry. ❜ ❛ i thought it doesn't get better than this. ❜ ❛ there can be nothing better than this. ❜ ❛ the world is at your fingertips. ❜ ❛ everything i ever did was just another way to scream your name. over and over and over again. ❜ ❛ i want a space to watch things grow. ❜ ❛ did i dream too big? do i have to let it go? ❜ ❛ what if one day there is no such thing as snow? ❜ ❛ i don't know anything. except that green is so green. ❜ ❛ there's a special kind of sadness that seems to come with spring. ❜ ❛ you need a big god. big enough to hold your love. ❜ ❛ you keep me up at night but to my messages, you do not reply. ❜ ❛ you know i still like you the most. ❜ ❛ you'll always be my favourite ghost. ❜ ❛ sometimes i think it's getting better and then it gets much worse. ❜ ❛ is it just part of the process? jesus christ, it hurts. ❜ ❛ though i know i should know better, i can make this work. ❜ ❛ shower your affection, let it rain on me. ❜ ❛ are you deeply sleeping or are you still awake? ❜ ❛ a good friend told me you've been staying out so late. ❜ ❛ be careful, my darling. be careful what it takes. ❜ ❛ from what i've seen so far, the good ones always seem to break. ❜ ❛ i can feel your anger from way across the sea. ❜ ❛ i was kissing strangers, i was causing such a scene. ❜ ❛ oh, the heart, it hides such unimaginable things. ❜ ❛ i want you so badly but you could be anyone. ❜ ❛ hold me down, i'm so tired now. ❜ ❛ leave me where i lie. ❜ ❛ i feel like i'm about to fall, the room begins to sway. ❜ ❛ i can hear the sirens but i cannot walk away. ❜ ❛ i thought i was flying but maybe i'm dying tonight. ❜
B SIDE
❛ i'm sorry i ruined your birthday. ❜ ❛ i guess i could go back, try and make my parents proud. ❜ ❛ i don't think it would be too long before i'm drunk again. ❜ ❛ this is the only thing i've ever had any faith in. ❜ ❛ [NAME], i don't say it enough. you are so loved. ❜ ❛ all the walls were melting and there were mermaids everywhere. hearts flew from my hands and i could see people's feelings. ❜ ❛ and you, you were the one i treated the worst. only because you loved me the most. ❜ ❛ we haven't spoken in a long time. i think about it sometimes. ❜ ❛ i don't know who i was back then and i hope and hope i would never treat anyone like that again. ❜ ❛ oh [NAME], you've always been my north star. ❜ ❛ i have to tell you something, i'm still afraid of the dark. ❜ ❛ do you understand that with every seed you sow you make this cold world beautiful? ❜ ❛ you told me all doors are open to the believer. ❜ ❛ i believe her. ❜ ❛ how's that working out for you, honey? do you feel loved? ❜ ❛ i drink too much coffee and i think of you often. ❜ ❛ are you afraid? 'cause i'm terrified. ❜ ❛ you remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love. ❜ ❛ i believe in you and in our hearts we know the truth. ❜ ❛ i believe in love and the darker it gets, the more i do. ❜ ❛ it's just too much, i cannot get you close enough. ❜ ❛ a hundred arms, a hundred years, you can always find me here. ❜ ❛ lord, don't let me break this, let me hold it lightly. ❜ ❛ we have no need to fight. we raise our voices and let our hearts take flight. ❜ ❛ my held breath fills the room with love. ❜ ❛ it hurts in ways i can't describe. ❜ ❛ my heart bends and breaks so many, many times and is born again with each sunrise. ❜ ❛ we're sorry, we thought you didn't care. ❜ ❛ how does it feel now you've scratched that itch? ❜ ❛ hubris is a bitch. ❜ ❛ i feel nervous in a way that can't be named. ❜ ❛ we're a family pulled from a flood. ❜ ❛ it was so far to fall but it didn't hurt at all. ❜ ❛ i've always been in love with you. could you tell it from the moment that i met you? ❜ ❛ they told me that they loved me then ghosted me again. ❜ ❛ the older i get i find that happiness is an extremely uneventful subject. ❜ ❛ i must confess, i did it all for myself. ❜ ❛ the loneliness never left me. i always took it with me. ❜ ❛ the loneliness never left me. i always took it with me but i can put it down in the pleasure of your company. ❜ ❛ no chorus will come in. no ballad will be written. it will be entirely forgotten. ❜ ❛ and if tomorrow it's all over, at least we had it for a moment. ❜ ❛ things seem so unstable but for a moment we were able to be still. ❜ ❛ this will be entirely forgotten. ❜

Making Geto Mad
Hello all this is the first time i am writing and i wanted to do a smut scenario , but i started writing a whole ass long story sorry 😭😭😭😭😭
word count is :1572
Forgive me and please let me know if i should finish the smut that i left half way at the end .
Your boyfriend Geto was the perfect man any woman could ask for, with his face, his body, voice, character, and all in all the perfect gentleman. In the whole 8 months of your relationship, he has never actually gotten mad or jealous in your eyes and even if he did he always told you and it was never a misunderstanding. This does not mean you did not have fights, but it has always been handled in a very mature way by your man and this was getting out of hand. You were a virgin before meeting this fine gentleman and true to his appearance he is a gentleman in bed, your first time was blissful and sweet and so have all your makeout sessions been. He has never once gotten rough with you, you were a glass doll he was blessed with and he would never break it for his pleasure … is what you thought.
It has been 8 months since he changed, the famous but sweet playboy no one knew what he was. Only the people who slept with him or dated him knew him and his best friend Satoru knew that he was a devil in disguise. The first time you entered the school with your sweet-looking aura and tiny body he knew he wanted you in his bed. But little did he plan on falling for you, it was not in his plan but it happened. Your sweet voice laughing, your gentle smile when you saw him in the corridor but the way you turned cold as ice when fighting curses made his dick twitch and so did his heart. It's the first time he wanted to date a girl not to fuck her or just for entertainment. He wanted you, wanted your smile, wanted your body and your soul and he would take it at all costs. After getting you to confess to him he changed and released a bit too late. He could not force you to do anything, he was shocked when he heard you were a virgin. He wondered for nights how such a lovely flower was left untouched in this cruel world but here you were in his arms sleeping peacefully having no idea how badly he wanted to destroy you. He wanted to fuck you, he loved you no questions but he wanted fuck, rough hard and nasty, but he could not. Seeing the tears trickle down your cheeks the first time he entered you, he wanted to ruin you but held on. The way you held his arms trying to hold your life was so cute which made him wonder “Can she ever handle a rough man ?” and he decided no. Every time there was a fight he would go to Nanami to talk and vent but his friend being the calm and rational person he is always listened and told the mostly mature solution making Geto the mature person in the relationship.
Shoko held your hand tightly as you scanned yourself once again in the mirror “You look sexy and can get 20 to 30 tonight, girl forget your man and enjoy the night “ she said hugging your waist as you looked doubtful. You had never worn such a short frock, the black material was almost transparent making your white inners slightly visible in a teasing way. “Do I look good in this ?” you asked doubtfully but before you could get an answer Gojo burst the room door open “It has been an hour girls let go!!” his voice high and whinny but when he saw you he dramatically opened his jaw and got on his knees “ marry me love I will al-” Ghetto kicked his friend in the ass pushing him aside walked up to you “ love, shall we ?”. His voice was soft and sweet he took your hands kissing your knuckles. You nodded your head and soon you guys started to the club. This was your first time coming to a club “Geto ..” you whispered in his ear to make sure he heard you in the loud place “Yes love?” he asked looking at you “I don't look weird right ?” you asked tucking a stand of your hair behind. Ghetto smiled and placed a glass in front of you “of course love why would you think that ?” he asked snaking an arm around your waist. You looked around nervously for a second and thought about what Shoko told you “ well… i feel kinda weird …” your tone made Geto’s face frown in worry “ why are you feeling sick or you dont like the music should we leave ?” he asked placing his glass down . “No no… just … “ you fidgeted with your fingers “ i might be wrong also but …i feel like people are starting at me “ you voice trailed low at the end . If Geto had not been close to you he would have not heard a word . Gojo and Shoko both were on the floor having a blast while you were trying to make your boyfriend mad. Ghetto smiled looking at you, his calloused hands rubbing on your checks “When my girl is so lovely looking how can they keep their eyes to them, they have to look your angle “ his voice was low and as he spoke in your ear your checkers heated “ oh…i see” you said turning your head and looking at your friends who were waving at you two to join them. You dragged your boyfriend to the dance floor trying to avoid his sly look which was making you squirm. As you were enjoying the floor you noticed how a group of men were approaching you and shoko “Darling, i will be back in a while “ Geto said holding your waist “Whyy..” you asked worried after noticing the group of men “ a puff dear only a little i will be back soon don't worry Gojo is here “ he said kissing your head he felt you with Shoko who was ass of drunk. You kept your thoughts to yourself and continued to dance when you felt someone grab your hand “ kitty want someone to dance with ?” asked a blonde while the rest of the group walked towards you and Shoko “ oiiiii… dance with me “ she said grabbing the man from you and dragging him away but you started feeling uncomfortable walked but before they could grab you again you were pulled backwards “ love are these your friends ?” a sweet voice cooed from behind you . Feeling safe you turned and hugged your boyfriend “Geto..” you mumbled in his chest while the men stopped and walked away “ love you wanna go home ?” he asked but you did not move or make any noise . “y/n look at me ?” he said worried taking your face he saw your glassy eyes small red lips and doe eyes .“Let's go back “ He said and dragged you out of the place with Gojo shouting behind him “ GETO…!!!” . Your ride back was quiet as you calmed down “ will Shoko be alright ?” you asked worried “ Shoko … i would worry about the man more “ Geto said and it was quite again . You soon realise he was taking you to his house and for some reason the air felt heavy in the car and the elevator .
Due to a word limit this is ending mid way i am extremely sorry the next half in the posted .
Thank you for reading this and i accept any request !!

Interlude for Lunch
Tumblr media
Being invited to Rafayel's studio that morning had promised a lazy, sleepy day spent with him while he painted, and yet it was quickly turning into something more as she tried taking care of her hungry, tired artist in pain.
Pairing: Rafayel x MC Tags: Fluff, comfort, implied/established relationship, domestic-ness Taglist: @aluneposting
Tumblr media
A long, drawn out groan drew her from her reverie.
She had been reading, half-asleep on the couch in Rafayel’s studio. Soft blankets had been strewn across it, pillows fluffed until they were puffy as cotton-candy clouds. Honeyed sunlight had spilled from the windows, washing over the floors and furniture like a gauzy veil.
It had been as alluring as a siren song, and she had nestled into it as Rafayel had painted. He’d called her that morning, asking her to come over, but when she’d arrived he’d only waved a hand, telling her to make herself comfortable as he’d frowned at his painting.
So she had, settling into the couch that had suspiciously been covered in all her favourite blankets. It had been far too easy to doze, even though she’d tried valiantly to remain awake, focusing her attention on the book she’d brought with her. But the blankets had been so soft, and the pillows so fluffy, and the sun so warm.
The snatches of melodies Rafayel had hummed had been the proverbial nail in the coffin, like scraps of a lullaby woven together in the air, soft and serene, lulling her to sleep.
But when he groaned, loud and raspy and full of distress, she snapped awake at once, bleary eyes searching for him in the cavernous room that served as his studio.
She found Rafayel leaning back on a stool, teetering precariously close to the edge, his head thrown back. His bangs spilled back, a mess of lavender and lilac and violet as the light caught in it. He had tossed his paintbrush to the side, trailing a line of azure as it rolled across the floor, one of his hands gripping at his wrist.
“Rafayel?” She struggled to stand, the blankets tangled and knotted around her legs. “Darling? What’s wrong?”
He leaned further back, very nearly toppling backwards as he spied her. “You’re awake.”
“Of course I am.” Finally she managed to free herself from the tangle of blankets, getting to her feet and crossing the room towards him. “I heard you. Are you okay?”
He clicked his tongue as he straightened, still clutching his wrist as he stood. “My wrists have been hurting all morning, and now I can hardly hold a paintbrush.”
“What?” She hurried to him, hands outstretched towards him.
He raised his brows, but made no comment as she took his hands, prying away the one that was clinging to his wrist.
“When did the pain start?” She squeezed his wrists gently, trying to feel for swelling, a bruise, a broken bone, anything. “Did you do anything yesterday? Why did you go to the doctor? Why did you keep painting today?”
He sighed, flipping his hands over and wrapping his fingers around her wrists. “You’re asking the questions too fast for me to answer.”
“Oh.” Heat bloomed in her cheeks and she ducked her head, staring at the dried paint splattered across the floor. “I’m sorry.”
“Hey.”
She looked back up, finding amusement dancing in his eyes.
“Don’t pout,” he chided, shaking his head even as he gave her an impish smile. “I’m already hurt, are you really going to make me feel worse?”
She ground her teeth together, looking away as his smile grew wider. “My mistake, you must not be hurt that badly if you’re making jokes.”
She tried to pull away, but his fingers tightened on her, yanking her back before she’d even taken a full step away.
“Wait.” His eyes widened, his smile melting into a frown. If little pinpricks of silver had appeared at the corners of his eyes she wouldn’t have been surprised.
She conceded, letting him reel her back in. “Are you going to tell me what’s wrong?”
He looked down, a line forming between his brows as he dropped her hands, squeezing his wrists again. “I’d been hit with some inspiration, so I spent all of yesterday painting. When I woke up this morning they were hurting, but I thought it would go away once I started painting again.”
She frowned, reaching for his hands again.
“Being awfully touchy today, huh,” he said, the corner of his lip twitching.
She remained silent, glowering at him until he wilted, muttering a half-apology.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” She asked
“Well I was gonna,” he whined. He shifted from foot-to-foot, and the image of a sulking child coming home with scrapes all over him rose in her mind, refusing to make eye contact as he shuffled his feet. “But I forgot.”
“You forgot?” She blinked. “You made it sound like it’s been making it impossible to paint.”
He rolled his eyes with a huff. Definitely a petulant child. “Well it hasn’t made it impossible, but I wanted to get as much done as I could while I was inspired, and whenever you’re around I feel more creative…” He trailed off, glaring at the far wall. “I got distracted, but now it hurts too much to work on any of the finer details.”
She hummed in acknowledgement, warmth like the first blush of light as the sun rose spreading rosy fingers through her chest, reaching through the spaces between her ribs.
‘Whenever you’re around I feel more creative…’
She would save that to tease him with for later.
But right now she was worried about the pain in his wrists, and even more worried that he’d tried to work through it, that he probably would have ignored it entirely until it got so much worse.
“Have you ever had this kind of pain before?”
A shake of his head, as dramatic as a stage-actor embellishing their movements. “No, never!” His words were an exclamation, loud and exasperated. He heaved out a long breath, shoulders rising and falling, head tossed to the side. “This has never happened before.”
“Rafayel…” She trailed off, flipping his hands up then down, palms to the ceiling, to the floor, her fingers carefully probing to see if she could find anything.
“It’s probably nothing,” he groaned, slumping forward now, head very nearly knocking into hers. “But I can’t finish my painting while it hurts!”
He jerked his head back up so quickly he nearly knocked their foreheads together. She barely had a moment to lean back before he was peering up at her, crocodile tears shining in his eyes, his bottom lip quivering like he was about to sob. “What if I run out of inspiration? It took me weeks to find it!”
She sighed, giving his wrists a squeeze. “Before we jump to the worst case scenario, we need to handle this, okay?”
He groaned, tossing against his shoulder, slumping sideways like he might spill onto the floor. “How can we handle it? Are you going to swim into the ocean to find wishing fish to cure me?”
She blinked. “Are those real?”
“You really need to be less trusting.”
She groaned, rolling her own eyes now. “Come on, Rafayel. I’m worried about you, you don’t take care of yourself.”
“Excuse me?” He scoffed, looking offended. “I take care of myself perfectly well. It sounds to me like someone is making things up!”
She frowned, pulling out her phone to check the time. “Did you eat breakfast?”
There was a short intake of breath, like he was about to answer, and then…
Nothing.
She looked back up to see him pouting, looking away as he puffed out his cheeks.
“You didn’t eat breakfast, did you?”
He yanked himself from her grip, crossed his arms, shielding himself from her. He puffed his cheeks out even more, still refusing to answer.
She giggled, unable to resist poking his cheek. “You know it’s the middle of the afternoon, right?”
Still no answer. All she got in response was Rafayel half-turning away from her, wrinkling his nose as he shot her a scathing look from the corner of his eye.
She reached for him again, settling her hands just below his shoulders. “Come with me, love.”
He looked back at her, his expression softening, although his tone was still thick with suspicion. “What are you planning?”
“I’m planning-” she took the opening to take his arm, dragging him towards the couch. “To get you to sit down so we can get you feeling better.”
“Hey. Hey!” Although he protested, he did not stop her from pulling him from his painting, nor did he stop her from nearly shoving him against the cushions of the couch.
“If you wanted me to sit you could have just asked,” he whined, squeezing his wrists again. “I’m delicate, you know. You have to be gentle with me.”
The memory of the last time she’d been unwell surfaced in her mind, Rafayel dragging her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and all but chucking her onto the bed and telling her to rest.
“Mmmm,” she hummed instead, unlocking her phone and opening her delivery app. “Okay, baby. First of all, let’s get you something to eat.”
He groaned, eyes rolling so high all she could see were the whites as he threw himself back against the cushions.
Delicate indeed.
“I’m fine,” he groaned, waving his hand in the air. “I’m not hungry, I just want my wrists to stop hurting!”
She clicked her tongue. “You need to eat something, Rafayel. It’ll make you feel a little better.”
He wrinkled his nose, turning his head to the side with a huff.
“Alright.” She widened her eyes theatrically, waving her phone at him. “So if I order you a large garden salad with no toppings, that will be fine?”
“No, I don’t want that.” Suddenly he was up, trying to snatch the phone from her hands as he protested. “If you’re going to order something, order something good.”
“Oh? Like what?” She pulled her phone just out of reach, pressing her palm against his chest to stop him from grabbing it. “What do you think would be good?”
“Well not a salad.” He made another grab for her phone, narrowly missing. “And don’t go ordering that awful sushi like you did last time.”
“What do you mean, awful?” She gaped at him, mildly offended. She’d really liked the sushi she’d ordered last, the crispy bits along the sides adding a nice little crunch and the sauce being perfectly spicy. “I thought it was good!”
“Not only are you guileless, but you have no taste for seafood, either.” He grabbed her wrist, sliding her hand from his chest and lunging forward.
She laughed, rolling to the side and nearly falling from the couch to stop him from snatching her phone. “What is that even supposed to mean?!”
“It means,” he huffed, cheeks puffing out again, pouting at his loss. “That if you want seafood, you should just ask me to make it, and not order from some overpriced restaurant.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” she giggled, clutching her phone to her chest as she readjusted, sitting up on the couch once more. “But I don’t want you to cook right now when your wrists hurt.”
“I wouldn’t cook anyways,” he grumbled, leaning back. A light began shining in his eyes, and the corners of his lips turned up in mischief. “Unless you asked very nicely.”
She hummed, choosing not to acknowledge him. Instead, she scrolled through the delivery options on her phone, reading them off to see his reaction.
“Pasta?”
“Are you kidding? It’ll make me too sleepy to keep painting.”
“Soup?”
“That’s hardly filling.”
She sighed, rolling her eyes. “What about curry? There’s a place that does really nice Thai curry.”
He narrowed his eyes, nose wrinkling. “Fine, if it makes you happy.”
“You have to eat it, too, Rafayel,” she pointed out. “You are going to eat it. Right?”
He groaned, throwing his head back, draping his arm across his face. “You’re not giving me much of a choice, are you?”
She beamed. “No.”
“Fine.”
She tried passing her phone to him, but he waved her off, turning to the side so he looked every bit the troubled damsel. “Choose whatever.”
“Are you sure?”
He sighed, long and drawn out, like the wind whistling across ocean waves. “Yes, I’m sure. Just make sure it’s a red curry, and make sure it’s not too spicy.”
She had to bite back a smirk as he continued listing off his preferences. He wanted to pay extra for shrimp, he wanted jasmine rice not white rice, he wanted one made with coconut milk if they had it.
“Anything else?” She asked, hovering her finger over the ‘order’ button.
He peaked up from beneath his arm. “Don’t forget to order something for yourself, too. When’s the last time you ate?”
“Hey.” She pouted, wrinkling her nose to mimic him. “You’re the one who didn’t even eat breakfast.”
He shrugged. “I was hard at work chasing my inspiration. What’s your excuse?”
“I did eat breakfast.”
“Good, and now you can eat lunch.” He reached out to tap her phone screen. “Order something for yourself, I’ll pay.”
At that she balked, her stomach roiling; she hated making people spend money on her, hated being an inconvenience, a burden. “That’s okay, Rafayel. You’re the one who’s hurt, I don’t want you to waste your money on…”
The glare he fixed her with was sharp as his daggers, hot as flame. She felt her skin warm, burn beneath the force of it.
“It’s not a waste,” he said, his tone a proclamation, an insistence buoyed by sparks that billowed into fire as they caught on kindling.
“I-” She was a little dazed, speechless in the face of the sting in his tone.
He drew in a deep breath, sighed slowly, his expression slowly softening, the lines around his eyes fading. “If you expect me to eat, then you have to eat, too. You need your energy just as much as I do.”
She hummed, trying to discern whether he was teasing her or being genuine. “Why? Are you planning something?”
His smile turned wry. “Who knows? Maybe I had something planned once I finished this painting.” He wiggled his fingers in the air. “Although that probably won’t happen now, since I’ll never finish the painting.”
“You’ll finish your painting,” she said, rolling her eyes. “Honestly, you’re acting like you’re going to lose your hands.”
“And what if I am?” He whined. “You’ll have to hand-feed me my lunch. You’ll have to move in to take care of me.”
“Wow, I’m so honoured you’d want me to live with you just to take care of you,” she said, tone dry.
“Well there might be other reasons, too.” His smile was infuriating, smug and enigmatic at once. “But that would be my excuse.”
“I’m touched.”
He rolled his eyes, making another grab for her phone. “Just hurry up and order, I feel like a fish drying up on the beach.”
She snorted, quickly tapping in what she wanted and hitting ‘order.’
“There,” she said, tucking her phone back into her pocket. “At least I can make sure you’ll eat something.”
He tipped his head to the side, propping it up with his fist. “You know, if you’re that worried about me eating, you should come over more often to remind me. And bring me my favourite snacks.”
“I already stock your favourite snacks at home,” she said, ignoring the way her heart fluttered, fast as the beat of hummingbird wings, at how the light touched his eyes, how his bangs fell over his brow, half-covering one eye. His hair was soft, she knew it was, and her fingers tingled with the sudden need to touch it, to smooth it back.
“Yes, but you don’t bring them over,” he countered, brows rising. “How am I supposed to eat them when they’re at your house?”
“I gave you a key,” she reminded him. She gave him a light kick, earning a feigned huff of pain. “You’re in my house more than I am.”
The corners of his lips turned down, a waning crescent moon lost in the indigo sea of the night. “Well you should come over here more. Maybe it will convince me to keep more food in the house.”
“And if I ask very nicely, will you cook too?” She parroted his words from earlier back at him, even as fluttering wingbeats swooped in her belly and embers caught on the pyres beneath her skin.
“Maybe,” he hedged, his lips quivering, like he was trying to hold back his smile. “If I don’t lose my hands before then.”
“Here,” she leaned forward, holding her hands. “Give me one of your hands.”
“You’re not going to do something weird to it, are you?” He sounded dubious, but he gave her one of his hands, settling it between her two cupped palms.
It was so much larger than hers, dwarfing both her hands in comparison. She swallowed, butterfly wings forcefully fluttering against the borders of her body, trying to escape.
“Yes, I plan to steal the artistic talent from your hands,” she teased, ignoring the cascade of wings, the rise of heat in her chest. She slid her fingers to his wrist, gently pressing her thumbs into the spaces between the joints at the centre, feeling the flit of his own pulse. “I’m going to be the famous painter now, and you can protect me.”
“Don’t know how much protecting I’ll be able to do with useless hands.” Now he was smiling, his eyes bright, the blue seeming to deepen, a blue like ocean tides. “But I can certainly try my best.”
She started with small circles, pressing them gently into the middle of his wrist, pausing frequently to make sure he was comfortable, that she wasn’t hurting him.
“You know you should probably do wrist and hand exercises,” she mused, sliding her thumbs to the sides of his wrist, repeating the same small circles at the sides. “I think you can find some online if you look. And you should rest more often and do some stretches.”
Rafayel scoffed, although it sounded weak, strained. When she looked up he was steadfastly staring at the ceiling, his lips pulled into a pout.
“I mean it,” she continued, sketching her fingertips over the back of his hand. “If you don’t, you really are going to lose your hands! And then you won’t ever be able to paint again.”
“Oh please.” He pouted harder, lines creasing between his brows. He tilted his head back more, although she could feel his gaze on her, watching her careful ministrations.
“No it’s true.” It was difficult, holding back her smile, and she had to lower her head, letting her bangs act as a veil between her face and his searching eyes. “When pain like this gets too extreme they just chop people’s hands right off.”
She could feel as he shifted, as he leaned towards her, and she could only imagine the narrowing of his eyes, the jut of his lip from his pout.
“No it’s not,” he said, but there was hesitation in his voice.
She only hummed in response, pressing her thumbs over each individual finger bone, delicately adding pressure and sliding up towards his wrist. His skin was soft, and warm, and she could feel the small calluses on his hand from holding his paintbrush, and from what she could only assume was wielding his daggers.
The roughness was strange, at odds with the softness of his skin, and her mind wandered each time her fingers brushed against one, remembering the feel of his palm against her cheek, the back of her neck, against her own palm whenever he took her hand.
It was far too easy to get distracted, for her thoughts to melt away and heat to billow in her chest and belly, from the storm of flitting gossamer wings, from the rush of her beating heart, from the lingering smell of cologne underneath the sting of the smell of paint.
“I guess this is it for me,” he groaned, flopping backwards again. Now she did look up, snorting in laughter as he tossed his free arm over his face again, slumping against the couch like a ragdoll.
Focusing on his dramatics made it easier to ignore the nonsensical thoughts rising like a wave, threatening to crash over her. She could feel her senses drifting away, caught in his undertow and whisked out to sea. There was only Rafayel, and the weight of his hand in hers, and the smell of him, and the song of his voice.
But it was his words, and his melodrama, that fell like an anchor, holding her in place where she would have been lost in the ocean of what was rising in her heart. And she held onto that anchor for dear life, knowing that if she slipped he would tease her relentlessly, an incessant waterfall of jokes and teasing that would leave her flustered and furious.
And then he would do something equally infuriating, like taking her face and kissing her stupid, until he was the only thing occupying her mind.
As if he wasn’t already the only thing occupying her mind.
Warmth was beginning to bloom in her cheeks, unfurling like wildflowers, one petal at a time. But Rafayel didn’t notice, or if he did he didn’t much care, too wrapped up in his whingeing.
“I’ll never be able to lift a paintbrush again,” he groused, back arching as he took a deep breath, then collapsing against the couch all over again. “I’ll have to make you paint everything for me, so my inspiration doesn’t go to waste.”
She arched a brow as she flipped his hand over, pressing her thumbs into the centre of his palm. His fingers curled over slightly, brushing against the backs of her hands, a shiver going through her at the touch.
It was only through sheer willpower was she able to keep her body steady, massaging circles into the very centre of his palm, slowly working towards the sides of his hand and down towards his fingers.
“What do you mean you’ll make me paint everything?” She asked. “I’m not the professional artist.”
“And who’s been adding those doodles in the corners of my sketchbook.”
She kept her focus trained on his hand, the weight of his gaze bearing down on her. “I don’t know what you’re talking about-”
“You can’t fool me.” He leaned forward, flicking her forehead with his free hand. “I’m not the one with seaweed for brains. I know it was you.”
She puffed out her cheeks, petulance growing like bubbles in her chest. “And what if it was?”
“It means you’ll be the one painting for me when I lose my hands. And it means you’ll have to spend more time here.”
Her lips lifted of their own accord, the rough peevishness replaced by a rose-stained warmth. It was golden sunshine seeping across the horizon, indigo bleeding into lavender and cerise. An excuse to spend more time with him, close at his side, was welcome as the dawn, as desired as sun-warmed waves foaming around her ankles.
He was always finding reasons to appear at her door unannounced, but she felt forever nervous whenever she considered visiting him. She did not want to distract him from his work, did not want to be a nuisance that took up space when he needed things in exact, particular ways as he created. She did not want to be needy, to be seen as clingy and desperate, her skin prickling at just the thought of him regarding her poorly, of scoffing at her and sending her away because he couldn’t deal with someone clinging to him at all hours of the day.
She was needy though, and she craved his presence, the feelings sticky as honey. It clung to her skin and the back of her throat, clogging her veins and the valves and pumps of her heart. With each breath she could feel it, pooling in her lungs, choking out the air, each intake of oxygen fruitless as she drowned in her own neediness.
She did not know what to say that would have hidden such things from view, so she hummed instead, massaging around his knuckles. If she spoke she would surely reveal herself, and the mess of her heart.
Rafayel clicked his tongue, oblivious to the riot of her mind, the disarray of her heart. “Although we would need to get you some art lessons; your understanding of colour is abysmal.”
She could not look up, her face burning now, as if he’d set her alight with his own flames. “You know they don’t actually chop your hands off,” she said, whisper-soft. She needed to focus, on the moment, on his theatrics, on his hand cradled between two of hers.
She was trying to help him, to take care of him as best she could. Not to melt into a puddle of yearning, her mind utterly bewitched by the touch of his hand.
“But you do have to take care of yourself more,” she said, louder now, more firm. She lowered his hand, beckoning for him to give her the other one. “If you don’t do stretches and exercises regularly there can be a lot of issues in the future. You won’t lose your hands, but it might become too difficult to hold a paintbrush.”
As she repeated the process all over again, starting with his wrist, slowly making her way around it before pressing the pads of her thumbs into the back of his hand, she could feel his body slumping back again. The cushions beneath them shifted, his free hand dangling over the side of the couch. He groaned, eyes squeezing closed as he shook his head. “Do I have to? Surely this is only a one-time thing.”
“Rafayel.” She said his name like a sigh, closing her own eyes. “If you won’t do it for yourself, then do it for me. I’m always worried about you.”
When she opened her eyes again his face had become a riot of colours, brilliant vermillion and deep carmine. Splatters of scarlet and crimson, of peach and strawberry, seeped across his face, vanishing beneath his hair. His eyes seemed all the brighter, the blue nearly drowning the red with its intensity. They were bright as gems, a vivid cerulean that she could have drowned in, lured into its depths by his siren song.
It took her breath away, made her own face burn, flames licking up her bones, racing along her veins, singeing her heart. Had she any further words to say, they were gone now, consumed by the heat of the fire in her cheeks, in the flush covering every inch of her body.
But it was Rafayel who spoke next, or tried to, anyways. He looked at the ceiling, at the wall, down at their joined hands. He cleared his throat, ran his fingers through his hair, letting it fall at odd angles as he looked up again, anywhere but at her.
“O-oh?” His chest rose, fell, eyes trailing over some detail she wasn’t focused on. All her focus was on him, even the stammer of his voice mesmerizing. She was enthralled, lost to him despite her best efforts.
He covered his cheek, still refusing to meet her gaze. “You-you worry about me all the time?”
She nodded. “I do.”
Like a switch being flipped, his eyes finally cut to hers, the red returning in a blaze of fire. His brows drew low, lines deepening between them. “Well maybe you should come over more often, then, and you wouldn’t have to worry.”
Had she said something wrong? “Rafayel, it’s not that I don’t want to think about you, I just want you to be okay.”
“Then you should come over more,” he said. Although his expression softened, his tone was no less insistent. “I’ll be okay as long as you’re here.”
The breath went out of her then, her heart thrumming so quickly she didn’t feel it at all.
She opened her mouth, not even sure what she would say, only that she had to say something, the taste of her own neediness in the back of her throat.
Only to jump at the ring of the doorbell.
She gasped from the suddenness of it, feeling wild as she jerked her head to the side, towards the door.
Rafayel swore, the hand she’d been holding suddenly gripping her own, like he was the one anchoring himself in a storm. “Hey, baby-”
He didn’t get a chance to finish his sentence as loud raps cut through the air, severing the last strand of the spell they had woven.
Grumbling, he shoved himself to his feet. “I’ll get it!”
More loud raps, impatient.
“I said I’ll get it!”
She sat, stunned, watching as Rafayel vanished from the room. She was left with nothing but a tingling in her hands, the echo of his warmth beside her, and the smell of the paint drying on the canvas.
She stared down at her hands, where she’d cradled his only moments ago. Severed from her anchor, lost in a storm, the ocean carrying her far away to somewhere unknown. That moment had been like wine, heady and intoxicating, leaving her senseless. If the doorbell had not rang, what would she have said? Would she have told him? Would she have admitted to her need, her yearning for his presence?
She didn’t have a chance to wonder for long, a cold pop-can pressed against her burning cheek.
“Here,” Rafayel said, waiting for her to take it from his hand. “The food’s arrived.”
Quietly she nodded, taking the bag he offered her next.
Silence descended, a heavy mantle that stifled everything but the beat of her heart, so loud it pulsed in her ears, so insistent she could feel it in her fingertips.
It was even, rhythmic, the beat to a song she could not quite place.
He settled beside her, rifling through the takeout bags and divvying up the food.
“I meant it, you know,” he said, a knife slicing through the quiet, shattering the stained glass of the moment. “You should come over more.”
She fiddled with her food, daring a glance at him. “Why is that?”
A shrug. “For my health, and my art. And just because.”
She hummed, poking at her food. Her belly churned, her heart beating all the fiercer at the meaning hidden in his words.
He wanted to see her more, he wanted her near more.
She was so worried that he would see her as needy, as pathetic, and yet was he not admitting the same thing that she kept hidden? The need to be closer, to be near?
Only then did she understand; the song that her heart was a part of. That it was for him. That she wanted it to be for him. And if he wanted her close, and she wanted to be close, then couldn’t she let the song play until its final note?
“Rafayel?”
He arched a brow at the sound of his name, turning to look at her fully “Yes?”
Her heart was in her throat, each word another note, another part of the melody. She could taste the sweetness of it, like honey, but she did not fear it, did not feel it cloying her senses as she’d once been certain it would. “Then, could I come over again? Tomorrow?”
He blinked, a flicker like silver beneath waves in his eyes. Then he was smiling, wide and infuriatingly smug and utterly wonderful. “You really can’t wait to see me again, can you?”
She really couldn’t, giddiness bubbling golden-bright. “Maybe I just want to make sure you don’t push yourself too hard, and actually eat regularly.”
He snorted. “A likely story.” He paused, his eyes softening. “I’ll make sure things are ready for you, so you can come over whenever you want.”
“Won’t you get tired of me? If I come over all the time?” She scooted closer, a flower basking in the light of the sun.
Light as the breeze, his fingers brushed across her temple, slipping over her hair. “No, I could never be tired of you.”
He lowered his hand, sudden sharpness shooting through her face as he pinched her cheek. “So you’d better come over all the time, and you’d better not make me wait. And if you don’t then I’ll come find you.”
Laughing, she pushed his hand away. “I promise, I’ll come over all the time.”
His gaze burned, bright as flames for the briefest of moments before he leaned back, nodding once. “Good. And if my hands start hurting you can help me again, I already know what I want to paint next.”
“Okay.” She spoke softly, smiling down into her food, joy flickering like colourful tails beneath the waves, like sunlight across water.
Tomorrow spread before her, and all the tomorrows after that, as boundless as the sea. And perhaps she would lose herself, and she would be dragged away by the tide. But he would be with her, his smile, his laughter, his maddening teasing, and even the force of the ocean’s waves could not tear that away.

The Village it Takes
Tumblr media
pairings; Spencer Reid x Mom!reader (ft Daughter!oc)
Spencer fakes his death ( basically how Emily did) leaving you and your 11 year old daughter behind.
Content Warnings; angst, sadness, talks of death and grief, fluff
a/n; Hiii, so so sorry about the wait, I've decided not to make a taglist because I don't know how and I don't want to do it the wrong way. Im also back active for a while now so please send request. {first , second}
[masterlist]
You held your daughter as she was shaking in your arms watching as Spencer ran to catch the elevator before it closed. You ignored him only squeezing Ronnie tighter as she calmed down.  He hit the emergency stop causing Ronnie to cry harder burying her head into your chest.
“What the fuck Spencer? You're scaring my daughter." You never referred to Cameron as just "yours" until now, you knew how badly it would hurt him especially after seeing the shock in his eyes.
“Just listen, I’ve spent the last three years trying to get back to both of you. I hate that I missed so much of your lives especially you, my moon.” He grabbed Ronnie’s chin and wiped her tears.
He started calling her that on the long nights when she couldn’t sleep. Spewing facts about the moon with a little Cameron on his chest. Making her completely fall in love with the nighttime. Cameron had so many questions and ideas about the night sky and it was something special the both of them shared.
He never could wrap his head around why she loved his voice so much as a baby. Probably because of the countless hours he spent talking and reading to your pregnant belly at night or even over the phone when he was on a case.
“I begged Aaron to bring me back I’ve looked for loopholes for years so I can get back home to you both, You guys lost one person but I loss both.” He said with tears in his eyes, it was true this entire time was hard for Spencer. Not being there for his daughters birthdays and christmases. Missing your anniverises and birthday it was hard.
“I’m so sorry my Ronnie, you didn’t deserve this. I know I missed your ceremonies and games and I wish I could go back in time to change it all. I’m so sorry, Please accept my apology whenever your ready.” Looking at his daughter and taking in her beauty, he never wanted to hurt her.
She looked liked the both of you and was an even better person than you both. She looked up at her father with tears still falling taking a breath before speaking, “I just missed you so much daddy.” She buried herself into his chest and they both sobbed together.
“My life sucks without you in it, please don’t leave again. I wouldn't know what to do” the teenager begged,
“I won’t baby, I won’t” Spencer said rubbing the top of her head.
“Let’s go home” you said turning the elevator back on. You all headed to the car Spencer getting in the back with Cameron, holding her tightly, you watched them in the rear view mirror.
You had no idea how to feel. You had him back, your husband, your first real love was alive after three years of thinking he was dead. Yet you were still so angry at him and everyone involved for faking his death, especially Hotchner and JJ.
They watched you breakdown at family dinners that they were so kind to invite you to. Barley holding it together until Cameron was in the back chasing the other kids.
Aaron was there a lot, with Jack and Cameron going to the same school, he would take her on the days he knew you couldn’t handle it. You hated them, this all could have been avoided. Why not make us all disappear? Why just Spencer?
You were pulled out of your thoughts when you arrived at the house. All of you hopping out and heading in.
“Go shower and get ready for bed Ron” you said as you took of your shoes and sat your bag down.
“Can I sleep with you guys tonight?” She asked softly looking at you for approval, Spencer allowing you to answer.
“Of course sweetie.” You said as she smiled and headed to the bathroom, you waiting until she closed the door and started the shower before turning around.
“Y/N.. I have no idea about how you feel—“
Before he could finish your anger took over, you had never been this upset, especially with him. You smacked him again before you could stop yourself, and continued to hit him in the chest repeatedly.
His chest was bigger and stronger which made you even more upset, he was here, and you thought he was gone.
“Y/N, Stop!” He yelled grabbing your arms and pulling you into his chest. You fought back but he pulled you into his chest.
“No idea how I feel? It was so hard to breathe without you Spence. Raising a teenage girl who was grieving while grieving myself it was impossible. And you were still here? Jeez Spencer maybe a sign you were still out there?” You cried harder as he wiped your tears falling into his touch. It was like home no matter how upset you were, Spencer could and would always make you feel better.
“I’m so sorry, I hate that it happened this way. I fought y/n, every chance to get back to you and Cameron.” He broke down as you watched silently before you burst pushing him away.
“Not hard enough! Look, I understand it was to keep you safe and it worked and I’m so thankful for that but you weren’t here.
On top of the way Cameron was grieving, I almost didn’t make it without you.” Thinking of her first panic attack since his death and the long hospital visit that followed after. It was when you really saw the effects of grief. Helping her heal was your only priority but it took a toll on you.
Now wasn’t the time for that cause you finally let yourself go and buried yourself into his chest.  You were one of the very few people to be this lucky. Your husband was dead but now he’s back and holding you tighter than ever.
“I know that was unbearable and I know I can only apologize. Y/n I promise I will never leave you or our daughter again.
I spent three hundred and seventy eight days away from you and I never want to again. You both are life and I was nothing without either of you.
I even sometimes wish I was really gone. The thought of never getting back to you guy’s consumed me. I’m just glad to be back”
He cried harder causing you to whisper sweet nothings into his ear. Your heart broke more for him knowing how much he struggled, he lost you both too.
“Don't say that Spencer, you knew you were coming back to us. I’m just so glad you’re home and safe.” you said pulling away to look him in his eyes. Moving to connect your lips, kissing him was always perfect. You fit into each other perfectly. You both pulled away as you heard the shower turn off.
“I love you Mrs.Reid.” He said kissing you on the forehead causing you to smile. You all continued to get ready for bed until you all were finally laying down, with Cameron in between you and Spencer.
This was the first time you genuinely seen a smile on your daughters face. You’re so grateful she has him back that you both have him back.
"Are you going to leave us again?' Cameron spoke up as you all watched the movie together.
"Because I don't think I would be able to handle it dad" her voice broke with a tear falling from her eye as she looked up at her. It was a good question, would he leave again?
"Oh honey, I promise I will never leave you again, it was a mistake to go without you both ill never do it again" he told her looking at you both so you knew too. You smiled at your wonderful husband still in awe at the fact he's home.
Cameron snuggled into her dad laying her head on his chest with you snuggling into her back. You all sat and watched your favorite movie Ron was fast asleep with you following behind. Before you fell asleep you heard Spencer.
“I’m so sorry I left. I love you both so much” as he leaned in to give Ronnie and kiss and then you.
“We love you too” you muttered as your eyes shut with a smile on your face. Having Spencer back was everything you needed.

The past week had been hell for you, you couldn’t focus on anything… you were on edge all the time, your knees shaking, on the verge of a breakdown, you just wanted to cry…
You entered the bathroom, desperate for a solution… so, you did what you always did; you reached into the cabinet and pulled out a razor, attempting to separate the pieces until it finally broke. Then you did it, you made inumerous individual slices down your arm, until you were too tired, and just sat down, on the floor, staring into the abyss.

You stare blankly at your phone, thinking about how he would be worried if he heard your shaky voice… and you really didn’t want that. So you just let it ring out, hoping he wouldn’t think anything of it.

Chris’s POV
She’s not answering my texts, or calls. And I know she’s been struggling, and I’ve really tried to talk to her about it but I haven’t been able to… I’m really worried about her.
I run down the stairs to the kitchen where I find Matt and Nick on their phones…
 Nick looks up to me seeing my worried expression;
“You good, Chris?”
“Uhm, yeah I just needed help with something…”
“What’s up?” Matt replied, putting his phone down
 I sat down
“So like, y/n hasn’t been answering my calls and texts, and i know somethings wrong, but she tries to cover it up… I don’t know what to do” I said, burring my face in my hands
“Yeah I did kind of notice something off with her recently…” Nick said, growing concerned  aswell
“Maybe you should go to her house and try to talk to her” Matt said, standing up from his spot
“Would you drive me?”
“Of course”
Matt and I quickly got our stuff and got out of the house, heading to the car.
The car ride was intense, to say the least… but we made it there. I headed to her door as Matt waited for me in the car.
Y/N’s POV
You heard three loud knocks on the door, already knowing who it was, but you didn’t have the energy to get up, you were too exhausted to go downstairs to answer the door…. so you just sat there, in a pool of your own blood.
Chris’s POV
I knocked again, this time louder, maybe she was sleeping? Eventually I just got my spare key, and barged in, I needed to see if she was okay…
When I walked in, everything looked normal
“y/n?” I called, but no one answered, so I ran upstairs and into her bedroom, but there was no one there…
That’s when I saw light coming from the bathroom door.
Y/N’s POV
Chris was in your house, he had called your name, but you couldn’t yell in that moment
Then the bathroom door quickly opened, and there was Chris.
He let out a shaky breath
“Oh my god, y/n”
He got on the floor with you, tears flooding his eyes, you could barely even open your eyes, you had been crying for so long
“Y/n can you hear me?” His voice was shaky now.
“I’m sorry” you said in a shaky voice
“It’s okay, y/n, I’m right here to help you okay?”
You nodded
“Can I pick you up?”
“Yeah” you said, tiredly, so he held you in his arms, and transported you to the kitchen, your head resting on his shoulder; you sat down on a chair. He then grabbed his phone, and called Matt.
Chris’s POV:
I quickly called Matt, I didn’t know what to do, I felt so, so bad for her… I should have guessed this was going on. But right now, she needed me to be there.
Matt immediately picked up the phone
“Hey, is she okay??” He said, as soon as I answered
“She isn’t Matt, I might need your help, she hurt herself really badly…” I replied, my voice cracking
“Wait what? Like she hurt herself?”
“Yeah, it’s really bad”
“Shit, okay I’m coming”
He hung up
Y/N’s POV
Chris called Matt, you were pretty sure he was asking him for help, but you couldn’t really tell, you were stuck in a never ending mental spiral, he shouldn’t have found out, he would probably never talk to you again after this, he’d probably think your crazy and avoid you…
He hung up the phone, bringing his energy back to you.
“Hey” Chris said, snapping you out of your ‘transe’, when the door opened, Matts figure emerging from the front door, and gasping at the sight, letting out a shaky breath
“Y/n, Jesus” Matt said, running up to you and hugging you, being careful not to hurt you, then pulling out a chair, for Chris to sit on, he had a wet cloth in his hands
“Can I have your arm?” He asked
You just lifted your arm on the table, and he placed the warm cloth on your arm, making you gasp slightly. He held the cloth on your arm for a while.
“Do you have a first aid kit?”
“Yeah of course, it’s under the sink” your voice was still iffy
“I’ll grab it”
“Thanks Matt”
Chris pulled out a couple packs of alcohol wipes, ripping one open
“Y/n, this might hurt a little, okay?”
“Yeah, okay…”
He gently wiped your wrist with the wipe, making you flinch from time to time. He then got a pack of bandage wrap, carefully wrapping your wrist.
“All done”
“Thanks Chris”
“Hey, no problem… come here” he said, hugging you in a comforting way
“I was thinking, and I thought maybe you could spend a few days over at our house… I’m really worried about you, and I just don’t want you to be alone right now”
“Yeah, sure. Thanks Chris”
“Of course… now get some rest, you need it” he said, leading you to the couch, were you both sat down, you dug your head into the crook of his neck, and he placed his arm around your shoulder, drawing circles on your arm to calm you down…

So I demolished all of the cannon Sweater Weather content in like four days and have been reading fan content non stop since. So here's my little take on it. Thank you so much to @lumosinlove for creating this beautiful universe and letting us play in it. I would love any requests for other ideas, seriously I can't get enough of these hockey boys.
TW for overworking oneself to the point of collapse, mentions of nausea and vomiting (no one throws up), and general angst
Skate, strides long, smooth, fast but don't rush. Bounce the puck off the wall, catch it, cradle don't scoop, loop around the goal, shoot, ping, who misses the net without a fucking goalie, surely not a professional NHL player, go again, watch your lines, take the shot, what the fuck is wrong with you, Sirius leaning on the boards with that sleepy look in his eye, go again- wait, what?
Remus halted so hard and fast that if he hadn't been on artificial ice shavings would have sprayer all over his boyfriend. Remus panted, taking a panicked look at the clock that hung on the wall. Had he lost track of time? But no, 6:07 blinked at him in harsh red. Sirius never got up earlier than nine the morning after a game, which should have left Remus plenty of time to shower and sneak back into bed like nothing had happened.
"What are you doing up so early?" He gasped out, lungs heaving. Fuck, he ached. No, burned. His thighs were on fire, calves cramping, joints shaking at the mere act of holding himself up. Not to mention his shoulder twinging at every little twist and pull, forcing him to hold back a wince.
Sirius just rose an eyebrow, "I could be asking you the same thing." Remus shrugged, bypassing the question, knowing that actually I never went to sleep because I snuck out of our bedroom to watch two hours of tape and then run drills for three hours would not be an acceptable answer.
"How long have you been standing there?" How many open goals did you see me miss.
Sirius mimicked his shrug, maybe a little mockingly, and Remus swallowed thickly. So he was in trouble, then.
"I woke up and you weren't there." Remus licked his lips and tried to come up with an answer that wouldn't end in a fight. Sirius beat him to it. "Baby, what are you doing? You practically spent the whole night on the ice," If only you knew how true that was. "You need rest after a game like that."
"I just need to get this play right. I'm almost done, go back to bed." Sirius' eyes went from worried to hard in less than a heart beat, Remus shrinking under the heat of his gaze.
"Non."
"No?"
"Non, you're not going to get that play right, Remus." Remus nearly flinched. He knew he'd played badly last night, but to hear the unbelief from Sirius himself stung. Sirius' face softened a little, holding out his hand. "Come here, mon amour."
Remus hesitated for a moment, unsure, but eventually skated the distance to the board, his knees and ankles groaning in protest. Sirius took his hand, removing his glove and gently kissing his finger tips.
"You aren't going to get that play while you're still exhausted and over worked. Your body needs rest, baby. It can't work on empty. You taught me that." Remus closed his eyes, taking a breath and trying to hold back the tears that suddenly burned behind his eyes.
"I'm sorry."
"For what, love?"
"The game." The silence stretched on so long that he opened his eyes, Sirius' face blurring before him. He had that little furrow between his brows he only got when he was worried, or trying to figure out a particularly complex play.
"I'm not following." Remus' breath hitched and he could feel a lump growing in his throat.
"I missed your pass." Sirius' brow furrowed further.
"And? I missed a goal, Remus, it's hockey, it happens."
"Not to me." Sirius' eyebrows shot up, incredulous. Remus had to close his eyes against the judgement he was sure had to be brewing there. "It didn't use to happen to me... before." His voice had grown small, shaking. There was a pause, and then his face was being cradled between warm hands, callused from holding a stick all his life, fingers crooked from where they had bent around the shape of it. Warm lips pressed against his brow.
"Mon loup, you are an incredible hockey player. You were before, and you are now." Remus shook his head, feeling the first traitorous tears begin to slip down his face.
"I'm so out of practice, Sirius. I can't catch up all of you, I can't even catch up to myself, to what I used to be able to do."
"You don't need to catch up to anyone, you're already there. You played beautifully last night, you always do. We lost as a team. You cannot carry every loss by yourself, let us shoulder it with you, baby." Remus couldn't help but laugh a little, listing forward to rest his forehead against Sirius'.
"Now where have I heard that before?" Sirius smiled into the kiss he pressed against Remus' lips."
"A very wise physical therapist told me that." Remus chuckled, hand coming up to rest where Sirius' were gently cradling his neck, fingers running through the sweat damp hair that curled there. "Why don't we shower and go back to bed, ouis?" Remus nodded a little.
"Yeah, yeah, that sounds good." Sirius smiled, holding out a hand to help him over the boards.
Remus got one leg over before the world started spinning. Sirius caught him under the shoulders, taking most of Remus' weight while he tried to get his feet back under him.
"Merde," Sirius grunted out. "Baby, you okay?" Remus blinked hard, realizing the blurry halo surrounding his boyfriend's face wasn't just tears.
"Yeah... yeah sorry, I'm just a little..." Remus trailed off, body suddenly feeling heavy as black dots floated in his vision. He could hear Sirius' panicked voice, feel him lowering Remus to the ground, cupping the back of his head.
Remus felt like he was floating, vaguely feeling the ache of his sore body but unable to get it to move. He wasn't sure how long the world stayed out of focus, Sirius' strained words muffled. It felt like the TV static he remember zipping through his fingers when he touched the screen as a little kid.
Finally, slowly, things began to sharpen. Unfortunately that meant the pain in his legs and shoulder amplified ten fold. He couldn't help but let out a groan through clenched teeth.
"Remus, mon amour, can you hear me?" Remus went to nod but another wave of dizziness over took him, forcing himself to snap his eyes shut again and work through the growing nausea. He settled on a strained "Mhmm". He felt the gasped breath of relief over his flushed skin.
"Talk to me baby, what's happening? Do I need to call Hestia? Moody? An ambulance?" Sirius was sounding more and more panicked with each rambled word, hands flitting nervously over Remus' body as if he would break him.
Remus swallowed a few times, making sure he wasn't about to be sick, before grunting out, "M' fine." He squinted up at Sirius' face, unable to keep up with how quickly it was switching between incredibly worried and furious.
"You are not fine. You just collapsed." Sirius was angry, but Remus could hear the tears in his voice.
"I'm sorry". Sirius' face crumpled.
"No, baby, don't- don't be sorry, just tell me what to do." Remus nodded, licking at his chapped lips.
"Can you get me a gatorade?" Sirius slumped a little, seemingly relieved at having a task to complete.
"Yeah, yeah une seconde". He scrambled up, all of his usual grace disappeared, and jogged over to the stocked fridge they kept within reaching distance. In seconds he had returned, already uncapping a yellow gatorade. Remus couldn't help the little grin that quirked at his lips.
"My favorite."
"Of course. Here, let me help." Sirius rested a hand at Remus' back, slowly helping to sit him up before tilting the bottle to his lips.
Remus forced himself to take slow sips, even though he was suddenly so thirsty he felt like he was dying. He was pretty sure Sirius would combust if he threw up right now. The liquid soothed his throat and slowed the spinning of the world.
"Better?" Sirius asked, Remus humming in reply. They sat in silence for a few minutes, Sirius holding the bottle until Remus stopped shaking enough to grasp it on his own. He moved down to Remus' skates, beginning to untie them.
"How long have you been down here?" Sirius didn't look up from his task, and Remus was grateful for the space he was being granted.
"A few hours." Sirius winced, but just slid his first boot off.
"Did you sleep?"
"Not really."
"Eat?"
"...No." Sirius' eyes slipped shut, hands resting on Remus' ankles as he drew in a deep breath. Finally, he looked up at, grey eyes imploring.
"Baby, do you know how dangerous that is?"
"It wasn't that bad". The words felt week, even to himself.
"You could have hurt yourself, love. Or what if I hadn't been here? Do you know how terrifying it would have been to come down here and find you like that?" Tears prickled at the back of Remus' eyes.
"I'm sorry." Sirius sighed, Moving up to sit between Remus' thighs, legs bent to rest on either side of him. Remus all but slumped forward into the embrace, melting into the feeling of Sirius' hands working out the knots in his curls.
"You can't do that. You can't punish yourself, and you can't beet your body into submission. Trust me, I've tried, it doesn't work." Remus sniffled, hiding in the soft skin of Sirius' neck.
"I know." Sirius' arms tightened around him.
"Let me help, ouis? If you want to run drills we'll rest and then do it together. Okay?" Remus nodded, relaxing further as Sirius pressed a kiss to his temple. "Tell me when you're ready and we'll get you something to eat and get you to bed."
"Okay, just... Give me a minute."
"We have all the time in the world, love."

Angry love confession
"I don't get you Kacchan!" Izuku screams, frustration bubblig up inside of him. "God! I mean, y-you do these things. You scream at people when they talk badly about me, you punched Shindo when he tried to kiss me!"
Izuku turns around, facing Kacchan. He was standing by the doorway into Izuku's apartment still. The both of them were still a bit drunk probably but the greenette was sobering up very quickly. Kacchan looked shocked, mouth a bit agape.
"A-and then you talk to me like you hate me still! You ignore me for days on end. And then you hate people when you do the same to me!" The door was still wide open behind Kacchan, his neighbors could probably hear every single word.
"Say something!" Izuku finally screamed when his childhood friend didn't answer.
His and Kacchan's relationship has always been a disaster, ever since they were 3 their life's have been entangled. For better or for worse they have always been in each other's life's. Katsuki is the only person in Izuku's life who has ever pulled his strings like this- who has ever made him this mad- even so, he's the only one who has made him feel an overwhelming amount of happiness and bliss. No one could make Izuku sadder than Kacchan, but no one could lift Izuku as high.
"Look Deku, I just don' like when people talks shit 'bout ya," He sighed, stepping into the apartment more, closing the door behind him.
"No, don't do that! Don't undermine it, people don't just punch others for no reason!" He was breathing hard now, heaving even.
"He was forcing himself onto you, I just-"
"No he didn't!" Izuku interrupted. "I actually initiated the kiss Kacchan!"
"Fine, Deku! 'M sorry then, fuck!" The blond yelled, undoubtedly frustrated. "Can we just go to sleep? 'M tired 'n' to drunk for this shit". Kacchan took off his jacket and shoes, slumping in on himself and walking towards Izuku's bathroom.
The blond lived further away, train had stopped for the night, and was to drunk to drive, so Izuku -the dumbass he is- offered his sofa for the night.
"No! I wanna talk about this now!" The blond let out a loud groan, back toward Izuku now.
"Deku, seriously."
"I've been trying to be understanding, I have tried to see things your way, I have, really. But fuck I'm tired Kacchan, I-I can't do this anymore," Izuku's throat was closing up, like a big tennis ball stuck in his throat he can't swallow.
Kacchan turned abound, he looked shocked, afraid maybe but honestly Izuku was too tired to even try and confirm or deny.
"I'm done Kacchan, please," Izuku sighed, shoulders slumping.
Izuku tried walking by Kacchan and into his room, his plan was to probably just sleep for 12 hours, wake up and hope for Kacchan to leave on his own. And then after that, keep laying in bed until he felt like his bladders about to burst.
"Deku-" Katsuki grabbed onto his arm, more gently than expected. Izuku could easily rip his arm away but the stupid, delusional part of him didn't want to. If this was going to be the last time Kacchan's ever going to talk to him then Izuku would drag it out as long as he could.
"Look I'm sorry, I'm fucking sorry. I'll stop, just don't- don't-"
"Don't what Kacchan? Stop talking to someone who gets set of the second someone talks to me?" He didn't even have the energy anymore to yell at his friend ex friend.
"I'll stop, okay? Just don't leave."
"Why?" Kacchan's mouth opened and closed the second after. "Why Kacchan, why are we even friends? You don't even like me!"
"Yes we are!"
"Well you sure as fuck don't act like it Kacchan!" Seems like his energy was building up again.
"I'm not good at expressing my fuckin' feelings Deku! You know that!"
"Yes Kacchan, I know. But I can't be friends with someone who punches someone and then can't tell me why!"
Silence spread through the apartment, defending.
"Why Kacchan!" Izuku was screaming at the top of his lungs. He hadn't ever screamed like this before in this life he thinks. "Why!"
"Wh-"
"Beacuse I'm in love with you!"
