ohhhh ok i get it. so everything that happened in bolivia in s3 made cristobal believe not only in the whole crime utopia but that they could even leave the world of crime behind because the worst thing that could have happened to them happened and they managed to survive and get away. but it made hank unable to believe in it anymore because it got all his friends killed and he had to kill a panther and his boyfriend’s secret wife and the only way to keep themselves safe from something like that again is to align themselves with power rather than fight it because they tried to do their own thing and look what happened. they learned opposite lessons and it gave cristobal hope and gave hank none and they probably should have just stayed in santa fe and talked it out. cool.
