Life in Quarantine

Part 2

It wasn't a hard decision to make. Chris wanted me to stay with him for now while the world dealt with the crisis of this virus. Every state had different rules in place but for the most part, it was very similar. The first thing I did was call my parents. Not because I needed permission, I was well past the age of that, but out of respect and common courtesy. This was pretty serious and I would always be their child so I wanted to talk this decision through with them. Chris and I called them via video to talk to them about it.

The conversation went well and they gave us their blessing to ‘live together’ instead of being separate for who knows how long. They knew I would be well taken care of and with technology today, we could talk through video. My job also contacted me with my next contracted assignment and it was going to be set up remotely which meant I could work from wherever I wanted. Chris made a space in his office for my computer and things I would need right next to his.

His live video interviews would be done in the alcove off of the kitchen/dining room or in his bedroom for the most part. This would be safe for keeping our relationship private longer. We had done a good job so far, aside from the occasional speculations made throughout social media and his fans. This pandemic would be easy to keep our secret going since we didn’t plan to be out until we knew more about things. I had seen how some fans, not many when compared to amount of fans he has, would react to the knowledge of Chris having a girlfriend in the past. There was no doubt in my mind people would hate me, but I knew that going into this.

Scott was doing some things remotely for work just like Chris and I. His room was over the garage on the other side of the house. It was actually like a living suite almost. Needless to say, he’d be just as comfortable there as an apartment or him mom’s. Jennifer Garner started a charity for kids when the quarantine began and of course Chris found out and signed up to participate. I followed Chris on Instagram but we decided he didn’t need to follow me because fans would definitely pick up on him following a random girl. He had a private Instagram with a fake name that he followed friends and family and me on. I was in the middle of setting my things up in the office when I received a notification that Chris had posted something. Yeah, corny I know, I get notifications for my boyfriend, but what can I say? He is pretty damn cute.

Watching the video of Chris reading, ‘If You Give A Dog A Donut’, my smile basically split my face in two. At first I wasn’t too keen on him cutting his hair. But watching this video reminded me of how much I loved this look on him. Sometimes I couldn’t understand how this man made flannel and a buzzcut look as hot as he did.

That cute little smile made me feel like he actually pictured himself sitting in a preschool reading this to a bunch of kids and it warmed my heart. Seeing the soft side of this big, strong man always made me feel like I won the lottery.

Right when the video ended, I was brought out of my own thoughts when Chris snuck up on me. “YOU ALREADY WATCHED IT? Oh man! You need to turn off those notifications!”

March 22 Scott buzzed his head too, just not as well as Chris had.

Chris had buzzed his head since he knew he wouldn’t have any work for a while. He found it easier and more comfortable not worrying about having to brush or style if for video conferences calls. Once Scott saw Chris being as carefree about his hair he followed along behind his brother. He missed quite a few spots and asked me to help him but I didn’t want that responsibility so he asked Chris.

Dodger had been scheduled to get a hair cut but then the quarantine changed those plans. Chris thought he could do it himself. He was wrong.

May 14, 2020 Chris had an interview with Jimmy Fallon and showed the picture of the haircut he attempted on poor Dodger. I had been recruited after he cut it too short and finished the job but that part was left out for obvious reasons. He also just said he was in quarantine with Scott, leaving out the whole girlfriend part.

The guys played a game with Jimmy and I made sure to stay clear of hearing anything. I knew there was a big chance of me giggling at them because they were so cute together when they did things like this.

no, this is another thing that has been completely misrepresented and twisted on twitter to cancel chris. Scott was already out to everyone in his life, but he wasn't out publicly, but he also wasn't even famous enough at the time in 2008 i think it was to be coming out publicly anyway. chris was basically set up with that question too, and scott has very publicly said he didn't care.

Uno de los coordinadores se acercó a vosotros y os avisó que os colocaseis tras la cortina para entrar cuando Jimmy os nombrara, Scott y tu hicisteis caso y os pusisteis donde os mandó, os disteis la mano para apoyaros mutuamente

-Ahora por favor....¡un gran aplauso para...Scott y ____ Evans!- exclamó Jimmy

Esa era la señal para que salieseis, así lo hicisteis, os adentrasteis en el gran plató observando al público de frente y a Jimmy y a Chris a vuestra derecha, abrazaste a Jimmy y te sentaste entre tu esposo y tu cuñado, Jimmy sacó de detrás del escritorio unos cascos enormes a decir verdad, elevaste una ceja interrogante

-Bueno, celebrando que por fin pudimos tener al trío de oro de la casa Evans juntos en el programa jugaremos a un juego ¿os parece?- asentiste emocionada, agarrando a Scott del brazo para que se acercase más a ti, pues ya estabas bastante cerca de Chris, además, estar frente a tanta gente y cámaras te causaba bastante ansiedad y tener un apoyo cercano re relajaba- ¡Genial! Bien, uno de vosotros se pondrá los cascos, aislándose del plató en cuanto a sonido se refiere, mientras que los otros dos os pondréis de acuerdo en una respuesta para la pregunta ¿ok?- volvisteis a asentir

-Está claro que acabo de ganar- hablaste encogiéndote de hombros

-¿Perdona?- preguntó Chris ofendido

-Lo que oyes cielo, os conozco a ambos cómo la palma de mi mano- dijiste señalando tu mano con clara obviedad

-Ya veremos ya- Scott te picó la zona baja de las costillas, provocando tu risa

Frunciste el ceño y una bombilla se alumbró sobre tu cabeza

-Definitivamente algo relacionado con criminología- empezaste, Chris te miró y asintió entrelazando su mano con la tuya por encima de tu regazo

-Scott ama la sangre, los asesinatos, los misterios, es obvio que en ese trabajo hay muchas más cosas, pero son las más destacables de los gustos de él -concordó tu esposo contigo

Jimmy le hizo gestos a Scott indicándole que se quitara el aislante, le hizo la misma pregunta que os hizo a vosotros, obteniendo la misma respuesta que habíais dado Chris y tú

Esta vez le tocó a Chris portar los cascos, se los puso y trasteó en el móvil buscando una canción, cuando encontró una de su gusto se puso a bailar de una forma muy divertida

-Algo que Chris haya hecho y que tanto Lisa como Robert no estén ni enterados

-Uuuh, bueno, si, eeeeh- Scott empezó a divagar en sus recuerdos- Supongo que cuando me partió la cabeza- lo miraste con los ojos muy abiertos ante tal declaración, la cual debía ser un maldito secreto

-¿Como?- preguntó divertido Fallon

-Estábamos ____ y yo viendo la televisión, acabábamos de llegar de la escuela y estábamos esperando a que la comida estuviese lista, Chris me llamó y al levantarme me empujó, cayendo yo sobre la mesa partiéndome la cabeza- Jimmy asintió sorprendido

Le indicó a Chris que se quitara los cascos y le preguntó lo mismo que a Scott y a ti

-¿Algo que no sepan mis padres?- pensó el mayor de los hermanos, allí sentados,- Cuando usé su tarjeta de crédito para alquilar una habitación Winthrop para _____ y para mi- confesó Chris mirando al suelo y luego sonriendo inocentemente a la cámara

-No me jodas Christopher- te quejaste sintiendo tus mejillas arder con furia

-No se que has dicho pero he entendido mi nombre entero salir de tus labios y sé que no es nada bueno, nada- dijo Chris levantando el dedo índice con miedo, mientras apuntaba a tu persona

-Créeme no es nada bueno- susurraste "ofendida"- Y para que lo sepas, has fallado, Scott contó otra cosa- le picaste, cruzándote de brazos

-¿Qué demonios has contado?- le preguntó Chris a Scott

-La vez que me partiste la cabeza-

-Espera...- Chris frunció el ceño, pero luego abrió mucho los ojos- Scott- se quejó

-¿Qué? ¡Sabes que tengo razón!- se defendió el menor

-Ya pero era algo entre nosotros- una de las estridentes carcajadas de Chris se escuchó por el plató

-____, te toca- Jimmy te ofreció los cascos, los colocaste y sentiste como te aislabas, solo veía sal público pero no podías escuchar nada más- ¿Momento mas vergonzoso en la vida de ____?- le preguntó Fallon a los hermanos

-Cuando mis padres pillaron a Chris y ____ en el jardín haciendo de todo menos comer galletas y beber té- respondió Scott con la mirada perdida y una mueca traumática en su rostro- Ellos no vieron tanto como yo

-¿Tu también lo viste?- preguntó Chris divertido

-Yo y los vecinos de los lados y ya no te cuento quien os escuchó, Shanna no volvió a ser la misma después de eso

Chris se rió sintiendo toda la vergüenza subir a su rostro

-De acuerdo votaré por lo que dijo Scott- sentenció Chris sonriendo y elevando los hombros

Scott te tocó el brazo, lo miraste y te hizo un gesto para que te quitases los cascos

-_____, te toca ¿momento más embarazoso en tu vida?

Pensaste con un dedo en tu barbilla, sentías las miradas de todos sobre ti

-Yo, a ver, soy bastante tímida, entonces, a la mínima ya me parece vergonzoso cualquier acto que haya hecho- admitiste- Pero si tuviera que elegir un momento yo diría que....cuando nació Stella- Chris rebotó en el asunto y Scott te miró asombrado

Jimmy se levantó y tapó la boca de Chris, este empezó a reír y gritar

-Esto va a ser....¡Asombroso!- exclamó partiéndose la caja

-Puedes seguir ____- te alentó Fallon

-Bueno, me acuerdo de que estaba en la sala de partos y me tocaba a mi atenderlo, en sí, no era el primer parto que atendía, pero al ser una familiar muy cercana, me daba miedo hacer algo mal, entonces no sé qué me pasó que me desmayé, me sacaron de la sala de partos en una camilla- contaste mirándote las manos- Lo único bueno fue que me compraron una palmera ENORME de chocolate, ¿esa era vuestra historia?- les preguntaste a los Evans, ellos negaron con una sonrisa- Ay Dios mío,¿que demonios contaron de mi?

-Cuando mis padres os pillaron en el jardín- contestó simple Scott

-Lo siento Lisa, lo siento Robert.....- sonreíste tensa, pero con una mirada asesina hacía los Evans- Sois unos cabrones- te reíste

-Sé que nos acaba de insultar, pero como no sabemos exactamente qué nos dijo, tomaremos eso como un halago- terminó Jimmy- Fue un placer tenerlos aquí en el programa y ojalá volváis pronto- recibiste un abrazo de parte de Jimmy y os fuisteis

-Cuando lleguemos a casa dormirás en el sofá, pendejo- le advertiste a Chris amenazadoramente cuando entrasteis en la habitación de hotel

-Tampoco fue para tanto- se intentó defender

-Seguirás durmiendo en el sofá- lo bésate en los labios y te escondiste en el baño- ¡Así la cama será entera Mía y de Bubba!
