I just started watching Handa-Kun and… wow this anime is absolutely hilarious??? But also, this poor guyy. Plus, the opening animation is so wild and amusing?! And catchy. New current favourite, complete series, not a recent release.

“Hated by everyone around him, Sei Handa goes about his high school life regarded as an outcast—or at least that is what he believes. In reality, Handa is the most popular student on campus, revered by all for his incomparable calligraphy skills, good looks, and cool personality. I love how Handa Seishuu really lives up to his name

Seishuu 清舟

Kanji for 'Sei' is the same kanji as in 'Kiyoshi', 'kiyoi', 'kiyoraka' meaning pure, clean, chaste... or even noble (lol)

Shuu means boat, ship, vessel... So Seishuu means a pure and chaste vessel? 😆 which is totally like our Handa-sensei, pure, chaste, a meticulous cleaner (for his numerous ink spills on his tatami mats and brushes), hates dirt on his hands, innocent...

Too innocent even among the 7 year-olds (and is practically in the same mental age with them 😂)

A city slicker from a rich household, ikemen, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't look at/watch/stash any p0rn, doesn't fool around, practically lives like a hermit, writes prettily, gives his all when playing with little kids, can dress you up in intricate and beautiful kimonos, and now can grow his own veggies
