Understanding of oneself is the first act in establishing a transformative philosophy for living a vivid and a reflective existence. Knowing thy self is essential to designing and instigating a meaningful life that is self-directed instead of exclusively controlled by innate traits and external determinates.

It's is not enough just to follow your heart. Use it in every breath and in each step. Meet and greet everyone with it. Put it into all you do, every dish you eat and all you create. Then your life and those of those you come into contact with will be truly rich - beyond material and transient things.

Know that you always have the option to pause before making a decision, to offer up what you are thinking and feeling in response to something that someone may be trying to get you to do, and to outright deny what they have offered you if it does not align with what you value and desire.
Oftentimes, we have been overwhelmed and overtalked intentionally by those who wanted to take advantage of us in some way, causing us to shrink down and to become disconnected from what we really think and feel in the moment. Shutting down like this may have caused us to end up in situations that we did not at all want to be in, or to be taken advantage of by those who never had our best interests in mind to begin with.
Do not be afraid of using your voice and of the power you have to influence and direct your own life.

The Art of Becoming: Mastering Human Growth with the Power of 'I Will'
Gamal Moustafa
Introduction: The Power of a Determined Mindset
Human development is not just about growing older—it’s about growing wiser, braver, and more purposeful with every step we take. At its heart lies one vital truth: the thoughts we hold about ourselves shape the life we live.
Every great journey, invention, movement, and transformation in this world began with one powerful inner statement: “I will be able. I will reach.”
Tumblr media
I will be able. I will reach, Photo by Ideogram.
These aren’t just hopeful words. They are declarations of action. They come from a place where doubt lives, but determination speaks louder. These words challenge fear, defy past failures, and build a bridge toward the future.
Think about a baby learning to walk. They fall—again and again—but something within keeps whispering, “Try again.” That’s human development in its rawest, most beautiful form: the will to keep going, to master a new skill, to reach for what once felt impossible.
Now imagine if we carried that same mindset into adulthood, even when life gets heavier.
We live in a world where it’s easy to compare ourselves, doubt ourselves, or feel stuck in the same place. But those who grow, those who truly develop, are not the ones who never fall—they’re the ones who never stop believing in what they can become.
This blog isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress, through the mindset of mastery and belief. It’s about learning how to speak to ourselves with strength, especially when no one else is clapping. Because the moment you decide to believe in your ability to grow, you step into the art of becoming.
Let’s walk through what it truly means to develop ourselves—with real stories, relatable challenges, and the unshakable power of saying: “I will be able. I will reach.”
1. The Power of Belief: Saying “I Will” When Others Say “I Can’t”
Human development begins long before any visible success. It starts in the mind, with belief.
When a person says, “I will,” they are not ignoring challenges—they are declaring that challenges will not define their limits. This mindset separates dreamers from doers.
Life Story: A Boy with a Stutter Who Became a Speaker There’s the true story of a boy named Eric, who struggled with a stutter. Speaking in public made him anxious, and his classmates laughed whenever he tried. But one teacher believed in him—and more importantly, he started believing in himself. Every day, he practiced speaking in front of a mirror, whispering the words: “I will be able. I will speak clearly. I will be heard.”
Years later, Eric became a motivational speaker for youth—helping thousands find their voice. His development wasn’t talent-driven; it was belief-powered.
Takeaway: Never underestimate the spark inside of “I will.” It can light the path even when everything feels dark.
2. Growth Requires Resistance: Challenges as Fuel for Development
Imagine a seed underground. It’s dark, it’s cold, and the pressure of the soil surrounds it. Yet, it grows roots. It pushes up. Eventually, it breaks through the surface toward the sun.
That’s how we grow too—under pressure.
Story: A Mother Who Turned Crisis into Courage Fatima, a single mother of two, was laid off unexpectedly. With bills to pay and mouths to feed, panic could have taken over. But instead, she enrolled in an online program to learn digital marketing at night while working part-time during the day.
She often said, “This is hard. But I will find a way. I will rise.”
Now, she runs her own freelance business from home. She didn’t just survive—she transformed.
Takeaway: Obstacles are not the end of growth—they’re the beginning of strength.
3. Mastery Through Action: Turning “I Will” Into “I Did”
Believing is essential—but action is the engine that moves belief into reality. Repeating “I will” every day is like planting a seed—but watering it is the work you do.
Story: The Quiet Artist Who Kept Showing Up Mina loved painting but never had formal training. She worked in a bakery and painted quietly in her small kitchen at night. Every day, she told herself, “I will keep painting.” Not because she was already great, but because she loved it. She began sharing her work on social media. Slowly, people started noticing. One year later, she held her first art exhibition in her city.
All because she turned “I will” into daily, patient action.
Takeaway: Mastery doesn’t come from a moment. It’s built in quiet hours, consistent steps, and the refusal to quit.
4. Surround Yourself With Growth-Minded People
You don’t need a crowd. You need the right voices—those who remind you what you’re capable of.
Story: The Friend Who Believed for You Jamal wanted to quit college after failing a course. He told his best friend, “Maybe I’m not smart enough.” His friend looked him in the eye and said, “You are more than smart—you’re just tired. But I believe in you. Let’s fix this together.”
That support changed everything. Jamal passed his classes, graduated, and now mentors other students.
Takeaway: Growth accelerates when you’re surrounded by people who believe—even when you don’t.
Conclusion: Say It Until You Become It
The art of human development doesn’t happen overnight. It is painted stroke by stroke—through belief, resilience, action, and community.
Wherever you are today, remind yourself:
“I will learn.”
“I will grow.”
“I will reach.”
Say it even when you don’t fully believe it yet. Say it until it becomes your truth.
Your story is still unfolding. You are not done becoming. And every time you say “I will,” you take one more step toward the person you were always meant to be.

An incredibly powerful and simple way to feel better almost instantly and take back your control and energy is this: when you feel negative, say the following to yourself: ’I feel [insert feeling/emotion] because i choose to believe that i must’.
Try the same phrase when you feel good as well.

Cognitive Coping Statements in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)
One of the tools I have successfully used when helping teams and individuals become aware and improve their mindsets is Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), developed by Dr. Albert Ellis, which encourages individuals to restructure irrational beliefs into rational ones. A person is not born as a finished product; we create ourselves every day. Resembling reality, no person is a fixed and unchangeable entity. Each of us is in the process of becoming. A person’s perspective on their life experiences depends upon reviewing and integrating an emotional gamut of reconciling values with applied effort.
