I finally got my book quilt back from the quilter and put the binding on it!!! I finished the top almost a year ago and now it’s ready for many hours of reading underneath it!

I love the idea of Cass enjoying dance. It's an outlet that allows her to express herself without words, and I think she would enjoy the highly technical aspect of ballet combined with its storytelling and emotional side. and as a former dancer I always have fun imagining my fav characters do ballet :)

In other news, i had a really really bad week with so many bad things happening at the same time. Cat got diagnosed with kidney problems, i got very bad migraines, we flooded our flat and all flats below and probably have to pay for all damages and one of my favourite coworker got diagnosed with cancer.

So it has been a week. I might take some more time off but i just wanted to sound off and tell you that im okay and ill come back when i can. Atleast i can actually draw again.

horror having crazy irrational thoughts about food,,,,, like bro thinks there's poison in the cupcakes. someone snuck razor blades into the bread and once he takes a bit it'll cut him up. somehow there's mold growing inside the bananas and when he eats it the mold colony is gonna start growing on HIM and then he'll become a moldy skeleton and oh god and oh god and he is paranoid but hes so hungry.... BUT WHAY ABOUT BUGS IN THR FOOD,,,, BUT HES HUNGRY.... a struggle it truly is

probably doesnt help that dust and killer could feed into it. killer could make off hand remarks on how he snuck razor blades into the meat horror's attempting to eat (to fuck around with horror. just some eeeever so slight psychological anguish. and also because killer would just be the type of casually carry those around. what for you may ask well decide for yourself) and then immediately horror's mood drops and he storms out of the dining room. dust and horror go on a sweet little picnic in a beautiful field and its all beautiful and inconspicuous but dust made the food and horror knows that look in his eyes. horror knows dust was muttering something about chemicals a day or 2 ago. the food is poisoned isnt it??? and dust just smiles and motions for horror to eat it

#imagine being starved and then you hang out with two guys who make food dangerous #imagine the dread. the rational part of his mind telling him not to eat it but his instincts are so so so hungry #horror eats the food because it genuinely looks so good but he knows he just fucked up #they make eachother so SO worse........ they are SO bad for eachother its amazing #and horror probably can't cook all that well too so he definitely needs to learn which is a whole other struggle with his eating issues #MAKE THEM BREAK UP ALREADY THEY CAUSE TOO MUCH SUFFERING FOR EACH OTHER 💔💔💔#sorry triglycercule but no 🧡 they deserve to suffer together as retribution for everything they did #sometimes i feel like this angry torturous mtt that all hate eachother is a bit too ooc #but then again..... god is it so fun to come up with ideas for the mtt to hurt eachother #its so delicious 🧡 like dust's poisoned food! horror eats more because it tastes so good #but he can feel the poison kicking in. he can feel his body slowly start to ache and his movements slow as he eats more and more #and soon he can't move. he's paralyzed and in pain in this flower field with dust #and as he starts to pass out he reaches his hand out a bit for dust. just for the smallest bit of comfort #horror's absolutely furious at him for poisoning him but dust still holds his hand back #dust holds horror in his arms with a smile as they lay in the flower field enjoying the moment #as if you didn't just fucking poison the fuck but whatever that's horrordust for you!#dont worry horror gets him back by stealing papyrus's scarf and ripping some of it off to wear in front of dust #he sews a little patch of the scarf onto his jacket and dust is staring at that shit. that is a TAUNT #yeah this is papyrus's scarf. what are you gonna do about me ripping some of it huh? poison me AGAIN???#theyve all grown tolerances for different poisons because the mtt genuinely cannot stop trying to kill eachother #killer sans #dust sans #horror sans #murder time trio #tricule hc #god i struggle to differentiate because hc and rant so much because i swap around and change hcs so frequently that there isnt consistency #ive now decided that rants MUST be substantially longer and less put together to be a rant and not a hc. and that shall be DECREED #utmv #sans au

I thought that these inner sections of a pomelo peel thing kind of looked like flower petals with their coloring, so I left them out to dry for a few days, and then glued some of them together to make little "flowers" to hang in my window.

#crafts #I like the see-through ness of them and the color gradient. And pomelos are one of the foods to me that are very fun to disassemble #(like how I enjoy peeling carrots. or cutting cabbage. etc.) I don't actually eat citrus that much but some of the people I know #and live with do. so I'll always volunteer to cut stuff up or peel fruits if I'm over at someone's house or etc #I am.. the Food Prepper .. lol.. I could never be a chef due to the stress and the Hot of a kitchen and me being so heat sensitive #but in a broader sense I love doing little menial tasks like that. especially if there's some element of like 'try and get the sections all #cut as evenly and neatly as possible'.. sitting there like ..ouuu.. a challenge.. i will cut this onion into the thinnest slices known to #man.. this is now my quest and my destiny... etc. gjhbhj #ANYWAY... though I originally wanted to kind of sew them together with string so there wasn't glue visible or anything #I ended up having to glue them for them to hold their positions properly #So it looks weird because they're so trasnparent that you can kind of see the glue lines at some angles... but alas #still nice when the light shines through them

Jester commissioned these stockings in Rexxentrum over (I think) a single day. Taliesin's joke always stuck with me because there's really no way to speed up knitting - these took me two months to design a pattern and knit. The opportunity to attend the Echoes of the Solstice live show inspired me to knit the stockings, and knitting them inspired me to take on the rest of this challenging cosplay! Who knew painting yourself blue could be so fun?

Time for another traditional embroidery mend! This time, we're trying out the Puncetto Valsesiano stitch, which, after I finished this up, I've found, is an entire style of needlelace! For this patch, though, we just did stitch after stitch after stitch, no fancy patterning. (I might do fancy patterning later, to be fair! been reading up on things, and I've got a few smaller repairs to make that would suit it quite nicely!)

One row of stitches in, and I was thinking, oh this can't be so bad! this is actually quite soothing, all these repetitive actions, and with such a delightful, knitting-like texture!

This many stitches in, and sure, I'm still having a good time, but mostly, I'm finding out how much thread this takes! Poor razz, @razzmatazic, I thought this was going to be a simple, small patch, so I borrowed her thread to work on this one! You can't quite tell in this shot, but I'm actually about to run out of thread!

After likely much, much more fuss than was strictly necessary, including accidentally picking a slightly different color of floss because of some mislabeled strands, noticing I'd dropped enough stitches to need to throw some extra ceylon stitching in a gap, and a probably pretty noticable shift in texture because of single vs. double threading, we've got ourselves a patch that, even despite its shortcomings, I really dig the look of!

Unfortunately, I didn't make this patch wide enough generally, so I've got a few more holes that'll be getting filled by a big 'ol sashiko patch that's going to layer overtop the puncetto, eventually! Stay tuned, I'm just as curious as you are as to how that'll look.

#TADAAAA :D #ohh there's SO much going on here #the first one is interesting bc i tried to avoid gifs of the outside #but this one strikes me as a moment from before the blog started #a brief moment of introspection and dwelling on the past as he looks out at the dwindling remains of the forest #though to him i’m sure any second thought about what could’ve been is a second wasted and he snaps himself out of it shortly after #THE BEAR THE TEDDY BEAR #it's a foreboding reference to the barbaloots it's a representation of the past it's everything to me :D #the spotlight for being the center of attention and scrutiny alike; loud and flashy juxtaposed with the softer candles on the other side #the gears are for the factory but note how clean it looks #showing his desperate attempts to keep his reputation intact and insist that absolutely nobody has died within the walls of this place #the velvety red fabric resembles both theater curtains (performance and the blog) and the curtains in his office #and they’re positioned opposite to the one glimpse we see of the outside world calling back to that one scene in the 1972 version #a camera for both his surveillance over thneedville and the press plus a reference to that old photo of him before his business days #the entire middle column is a brief glimpse into all the good intent that got soured along the way #while the right column represents his success and splendor #alternatively the bear and the camera could reference that one scene in hbcib with pipsqueak!#and that last one is for the extravagance of the ball!#you could say it being next to the camera means he’ll be keeping a close eye on partygoers >:3 #i actually steered clear of stuff like sewing and other such manual work to show how he stands at the very top #arghh i could go on about every little part of the layout and how the different themes connect and oppose each other it's so fun!!!!! :D #anyways i hope ya like it ouo!!!#biggerler #ask the biggering onceler #stimboard #my nonsense

Being self taught at something is all fun and games until you look up a tutorial and you start hearing words like Selvage and Binding and Serge and realize you know way less than you thought
