Satosugu is the most tragic and devastating love story than any Shakespearean story ever, period.
I genuinely start tweaking if I think about them for too long, I love them so much they are my boys, they are my heart and soul, I live and breathe for them (I’m insane)

Thirst 2 Fight - Shinken Gaiden
Backstory -
The Japanese government from the 1800s created various military academies for the youth of Japan in the hopes of training more military officers. In 1900, a new project is undertaken, to build a new type of academy that would raise children from youth in all things military, to train soldiers that were not handicapped by the ideals of civilians, to raise them in a harsh environment, in the hopes of developing a mental toughness akin to the samurai spirit of old. Maeda Tsurugi, a young general at the time with vast hand to hand combat experience and successful in the utilization of guerilla tactics was assigned to head the new compound. Taking a number of soldiers and educators from different areas to best develop the children into soldiers. Needing someone who understood nature and how to better traverse the land, he requested someone from the North to also be stationed on the compound. Though no soldiers were available, words of an elder from the North that knew the mountains the best, was recruited.
