At this point with lestappen (in whatever context) can it even still be considered a soft launch? It feels like almost everyone in their bubble has brought it up at least once by now lol.
you are so right anon because at this point it feels less like a soft launch and more like a damn rocket launch. as always, we can only make an educated guess about what's going on, and i have a lot of them, so strap in
first of all, to me it's one of the three:
at some point of the season, most likely somewhere around singapore (where we got the infamous reel of charles and max walking together, implying charles is on max's pre-race checklist, and lestappen alert) or right after qatar (the padel match) something happened between charles and max privately that made them - maybe not closer, because there's no proof they weren't like this already in private - but more comfortable showing that closeness in public
ferrari and rb pr teams greenlit more interactions and content about the two of them because they saw the engagement lestappen are getting. the timing, however, would be very strange - middle of the second half of the season, charles not really in contention with max, the first of the interactions posted literally being them walking together. which leads us to point 3:
charles is either in talks or has already signed a pre-agreement with red bull. lestappen gate 2023 tag has it all
we can't deny that something CLEARLY shifted, just as we got our first official confirmation of max and charles hanging out outside the paddock. and i want to underline "official" here, because max has mentioned before that he and charles "see each other in restaurants and cafes around monaco" and we never got a confirmation if he meant they accidentally run into each other or they meet up intentionally. with the padel date, i'm a bit more inclined to believe the latter.
"but why did we never gate any pictures then?"
first of all, probably because paparazzi are actually not allowed in monaco. it is illegal there, hence a lot of celebs enjoy its privacy. second of all i don't think most citizens of monaco would care about seeing these two having dinner together, as monaco is small and its population even smaller (36k citizens, not all of them living there full time). most of them wouldn't be moved by this. and seeing a famous athlete having dinner with another famous athletes feels less special when a large chunk of the population is famous athletes. the third option is fans and tourists visiting monaco, but i don't think these two would be hanging out at tourist spot restaurants.
when we got our first official confirmation of these two hanging out it came out from them, not a random picture, but these two intentionally showing everyone that yes, they hung out together, and no, they are not acting like it's a big deal. charles also answered a question about padel with max in his ferrari q&a, which informed people who don't keep up with charles' instagram that he did, in fact, see max in private.
there's no solid conclusion here, only ramblings, but what i can say to sum it up is: charles and max are clearly intentionally and openly showing that they are friends now. and we can only imagine and theorise what comes next, and enjoy every minute of it

Do you have any ideas on how to world build a massive overpopulated city but it isn't dirty or in shambles. Basically, everything is neat, clean and works well. Just a massive population density. I'm thinking 30k people per km2 with a total area of 1200km2. When I find images or descriptions of such high density populations I often see buildings that kind of look all rundown and slummy (not to mention high crime rates and poor if not in poverty) Or is that like.. impossible if you have such a massive crowd in one spot?
Tex: “Overpopulated” implies “more residents than the infrastructure can accommodate”. What’s considered dirty or in shambles is the result of a garbage disposal system that isn’t structured to the amount of residents + guests (tourists, relatives, holiday-goers, etc). To have a city or other area properly equipped with the amount of employees to maintain sanitation and employees to repair buildings degrading over time, it must have properly-allocated funds, and enough of it. This is at its core a governance and taxation issue, not a morality issue of “just don’t make it dirty”. Crime and poverty are the natural result of neglect by one’s government, both at a local and larger level, which requires a lot of forethought in the amount of space an individual needs to live in private and public spaces.
Utuabzu: I’m going to assume you want a prosperous city with very high density. Happily for you, there are many examples of this in the real world. Density occurs when the demand for living/working space in an area is greater than the physical space available, meaning it is worthwhile to create more space by building upwards. This naturally occurs in the centres of all cities, because proximity to one another is a big draw for both people and organisations. In the absence of any limiting factors, this is usually counterbalanced by cost making it cheaper to build outwards and simply accept longer travel times, resulting in a relatively gradual gradient of density from rural periphery to urban core.
You get greater density when there are limiting factors on outward expansion. These can be geographic, like in the case of Singapore, Hong Kong and Manhattan (all islands), legal, like in the case of Vancouver, London and many other cities (laws and policies preserving green belts or valuable farmland), or political, such as was the case for Hong Kong and still is for Singapore (an international border acting as a constraint). Often it’s more than one of these. While places like Kowloon Walled City can exist - and it in particular is a very interesting case study in urban form - for the most part very high density occurs when people want to live and work somewhere, which usually means it’s a pretty nice place to be (at least in comparison to the other options anyway). Tokyō is the world’s largest city, with 36 million people (11 million more than the entire continent of Australia), but I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone accuse it of being dirty or in a shambles.
It is also worth noting that density doesn’t necessarily look like skyscrapers towering overhead. Paris has a population density of almost 25k/km² when one excludes the outlying woodland park areas, and is predominantly mid-rise buildings. The 11th Arrondissement of Paris outdoes what you ask for, with a population density just under 40k/km², and is mostly historic midrise buildings. Other European cities like Barcelona, Naples and Thessaloniki have a similar development pattern, largely due to having been built mostly before elevators existed or were commonplace, which naturally limited building heights to around 5 to 6 floors (any higher becoming increasingly impractical for the sheer number of stairs).
Feral: The International Residential Code has the minimum size required for a house to be 120 sq ft/11.1 sq m. That’s a pretty standard secondary bedroom size in suburban USA. Your population density would have one person per 33.3 sq meters, which sounds great except that doesn’t account for any non-residential use space. Given your desire for the entire city to be exceptionally well-maintained, free of crime, and presumably a wonderful place to live, that means you need great air quality, multiple green spaces, art, food, entertainment. And your city’s overall size is massive. It’s 20.5 times the size of Manhattan, 11.3x the size of Paris, and 1.6x the size of Singapore - to name a few of the cities brought up in previous answers. This kind of sprawl does not make for good urbanization - just ask the city of Los Angeles, which is almost exactly the same overall size as what you’re aiming for but has a tenth of the density.

COULD
YOU

ME
ABOUT
AUSTRALIAN
BARTY
PLEASE
thank you kind sir for your service 🙇‍♀️ <3
YES OF COURSE!!! I LOVE AUSTRALIAN BARTY!!!!
i can't remember if i mentioned this in my original notes dump, but he 100% went to bali for holidays like every year. if not bali, the crouch family was going to singapore. but he would have hundreds of little bali souvenirs, tons of clothes that he haggled for (his lack of moral guilt combined with his insane competitiveness would make him an AMAZING haggler, for better or for worse), have gone to all the tourist spots a hundred times over- he's given all the monkeys in the monkey forest names and he remembers ALL of them. he goes to the same few hotels every time and the staff know him by name because he's there so regularly (and also very obnoxious. he's hard to forget). he sleeps in bintang singlets all year round.
he is constantly shocked and dramatic about things that people at hogwarts (whether muggle au or not, i still imagine him in boarding school with the skittles) say despite having spent most of the year in the uk for several years. people mention having never gone to/not enjoying the beach and he FLIPS his SHIT. he is absolutely distraught at the idea. in a muggle au, he can't fathom non-compulsory voting and whenever anyone complains about politics in the uk he says that maybe it'd be better if they actually made people vote. he basically will tell anybody who makes the mistake of listening about how much better australia is to everywhere else and gets furious at even the slightest insinuation that he's from the uk.
his accent is moderate, which means that people don't always immediately pick up on him being from australia even if they can tell his accent is different. it's worst at the beginning of the school year, though, after he's gotten used to talking to other australians for two months, and nobody can understand a word he says through his accent and heavy use of slang (which he refuses to translate).
he does also complain a lot about thinks in australia he dislikes, despite how much he praises it. he complains about how much things cost, how many less stores there are, how few bands tour there, etc. but if anyone else said something negative about australia he'd punch them in the face. he hates australia about as much as he loves australia, but more than anything else it's HIS country and nobody else is allowed to say shit.
okay that's it for now, it's hard to identify specific headcanons for aus barty because i think there's a lot of things i don't realise are specific to australia because i've lived here my whole life lmao.
oohh unrelated side note but i got a haircut yesterday and it's even more of a mullet than it's ever been before, so that's fun, it definitely feels like the type of haircut barty would have lol

My journey in Singapore 🇸🇬✈️🧳
I have traveled many times but these places are the ones I cannot forget.✈️🧳 This country I visited gave me wonderful experience.🎉
Let's talk about Singapore. Singapore has many tourist spots. I went to Marina Bay, Universal Studios, New Ubin Seafood, and more!💫
Their airport is so big that we couldn't even finish exploring it.
Tumblr media
Singapore is a very beautiful country.✨️ Everything there looks like you need to take a picture. 📸 (Literally)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But out of all the places I have explored in Singapore, my favorite one is Universal Studios.🌍
Tumblr media
The main reason why I really like Universal Studios is because of their Transformers roller coaster.🎢 The roller coaster is 3D, so you need to wear 3D glasses 🕶, but don't worry, they are provided to you when you get on the ride.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their food is also good,🥙 but the only problem is that Singapore is expensive. 1 can of coke costs you 5 dollars, which is equivalent to 215 pesos. But on the bright side, Singapore is really beautiful. ✨️
When we went to New Ubin Seafood, our food was free because my mom works there. We got to eat truly Singaporean cuisine. My favorite one was the classic chili crab. (I sadly don't have a picture 😢)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also went to see the Mer Lion , I was expecting the Mer Lion to be really big, but it was only 8.6 meters tall. It was still a fun experience, I even got a picture with it.

When foreigners call "Tampines" "Tam-pines" as in like. Tampons and pine tree I want to laugh a little bit because there's no way to correct that sensibly without making things even funnier because you could say Tam-penis and it'd be significantly more correct.
Also. Bugis is Boogies. I just imagine someone saying Buggies. That's so cute but I'd choke on my drink if I heard that.
At least there's. Virtually no tourist spots in Yishu- oh no the entire ZOO is way too close to Yishun cmon. (Yishun is the Florida of Singapore you do not fuck with Yishun)
I remember the time I ran into some guys from California who came to Singapore just to have a barbeque. In Yishun. That was incredible. Years ago by now but goddamn.

I’m Icezyy from the Philippines who travels to Singapore.
Tumblr media
As I step out of the airplane, I notice that there are a lot of things that are different from the Philippines and Singapore, especially in the facilities of the airport. Singapore Changi Airport doesn't have many employees because they are high-tech; all you need to do is scan your passport and scan your face, and then you are allowed to pass immigration. There was no question and answer, unlike in the Philippines, where before you get out of immigration there are many more questions and you still need to fall in line to pass immigration.
Singapore Changi Airport is one of the largest airports in Asia. The airport is like a huge mall that will amaze you because of its beauty. These airports have a lot of tourist spots. You will never be bored, but you will be tired because of the activities you will experience.
First, the Jewel Changi Airport, where you can see the tallest indoor waterfalls called the HSBC Rain Vortex. Second, the Skytrain also passes through the HSBC Rain Vortex, which gives tourists a breathtaking view. Third, Shiseido Forest Valley has an overlook of the HSBC Rain Vortex and has walking trails that you can use to go up as high as you want without getting too close to the waterfalls. These are the famous spots in Singapore.
I hope you enjoy it and that it also inspires you to travel in this country.

Why symmetrical locations are popular in Japan
Introduction:
To have a beautiful Japanese landscape or to tell a cultural story, there are many well-known places of symmetry. These art forms frequently express harmony and balance, which are core values of Japanese culture. Japan tourists spots from Philippines desire to see iconic sites such as Mt. Fuji, Tokyo Tower, and the temples in Kyoto because of their beauty and cultural immersion. The things that make Japan so lovely:
Cultural Significance:
In Japan, the matter of symmetry is not limited to mere appearances; rather, it has a profound cultural significance. It symbolizes values of harmony and balance that are deeply revered in Japanese culture. Symmetry is a visual representation of these fundamental laws, and the same can be said about different spheres of our lives.
Aesthetic Appeal:
Japan is visually appealing and brings a sense of eternity. Japan attaches special importance to this aesthetic appeal, designs of which are very popular in their architecture and art. The timeless appeal of aesthetics has kept it in vogue, timelessly beating the short-lived trends.
Traditional Architecture:
The designs of the Japanese temples and shrines revere history. The beauty of these buildings helps to retain traditional architectural styles which give a bond to the past. It's a way of preserving your culture in a visual form.
Natural Harmony:
The Japanese's relationship with nature manifests in this way. This copying of natural patterns and symmetry leads to visual harmony, which is well in line with the Japanese culture of nature, it creates a sense of balance and unity with nature.
Gardens and Landscapes:
Japanese gardens play with peaceful landscapes to produce calmness. The balanced and entrancing designs of these fountains foster contemplation and create a tranquil atmosphere conducive to connection with nature.
Shinto and Buddhism:
Both Shinto and Buddhism, the spiritual pillars of Japan, focus on harmony and balance. This influence carries a design of religious structures and rituals, in which peaceful stands for the spiritual balance that we seek in religious practice.
Tea Ceremony Influence:
The Japanese Tea ceremony, an amalgam of aesthetics and mindfulness, is commonly held in tea rooms that reflect symmetrical architecture. The design, taking into account the visual balance helps support the meditative and ceremonial aspects of the ritual and creates an atmosphere of reflection and connection.
Cultural Continuity:
The endurance of symmetry speaks for the cultural subconscious to which it has been passed from generation to generation. It is a testimonial to the timeless stance and the manner of speaking the visual language which is characteristic of Japan.
Modern Interpretation:
Contemporary Japanese artists have given birth to a new design style, which is a blend of modern and traditional aesthetics. As a design choice, symmetry continues to be the prevailing aesthetic feature that brings together the elements of heritage and innovation in modern architecture and designs.
Conclusion:
The symmetrical patterns in Japan are the manifestation of the profound culture going back to the days when harmony was given utmost importance not only in life but across different aspects of life. The continuity of this tradition has adopted a unique modern aesthetic yet still becomes a timeless visual language. Japan tourists spots from Philippines are to see cultural diversity through the Dipper Tour and the renowned spots including Kyoto and Tokyo offer a truly meaningful experience.

Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to dear, Ryn~ Happy birthday to you!!
I hope you'll enjoy this birthday fic~

Summary: A white mochi. An indoor waterfall. A foldable laptop. Those were the only puzzle pieces Morgan Kyne Saw before his Magic became hazy. A powerful Psychokinetic just emerged, and it seems that his future intertwines with them.
A white mochi. An indoor waterfall. A foldable laptop. These three random items were the last things Morgan Kyne Saw before his Magic becomes hazy. And no matter how hard he tries to Look deeper, his Sight is blocked by thick, grey clouds.
“There’s a high possibility that a Psychokinetic to which we have never seen before is currently in Singapore,” Morgan tabled to the Council on an inconspicuous Monday. Throughout all his years, the most eventful occurrences usually happen on a quiet day, so he knows to keep his guard up for whatever comes next. “I couldn’t See their face, but I caught a few clues that should be enough to track them down.”
One of the Council members - Sophia - hums. She taps a slender finger against her chair, displeasure paints over her stern face. “A powerful Psychokinetic… most probably Latent then. If it is as you say, Mr. Kyne, we need to find them at all costs before Covert is threatened. But the idea of you leaving Dahlia…”
“Mr. Kyne would need to be kit with a security detail,” A fellow Council member interjects. His Core thrums with powerful Energetic Magic. “Our SEA branch could oversee it, I’m certain. And this new Empowered once we find them.”
“If we find them. Mr. Kyne's inability to gleam their identity feels… foreboding.”
“If I may, Council,” Morgan pipes up through the murmuring crowd. He smiles softly as they all turn to him. “I have a good feeling that our paths will cross one way or another. The indoor waterfall in Jewel Changgi Airport is a sight to see and one of the places the locals love to be. I’ll meet them eventually.”
Sophia accepts his confident assurance. “Very well then. May your investigation be successful, Mr. Kyne and please, send out well wishes to your new kin too.”
Morgan politely bows. “Of course, Councilwoman.”
That meeting was on Monday. It’s on a Wednesday afternoon that Morgan finds himself descending from the plane and looking around the terminal with his luggage in tow. He’s worn thin from the long hours of travel, and his body is screaming for a bed. He’s no use like this. So he quickly checks in at the nearby hotel and keeps a close eye on the local news while he rests. The humid weather lulls Morgan into a sleepy stupor when he returns to the airport the day after. Now that he has a proper look around, the Seer Obscura could understand why the locals love this place - it’s not just an airport but also a high-end mall. Changgi has everything the locals need, and the tourists love. People of all ages are either shopping or waiting to pick up loved ones.
But Morgan didn’t come here for sightseeing; he’s here to track down an unknown Latent.
“A Latent’s core tends to flare up for a few days…” Morgan murmurs, and the sounds of laughing children walking by with their families drown his voice. It’s almost lunch hour, and he has to navigate through crowds heading to various restaurants. “I should be able to spot it if they’re nearby.” So he wanders through the floors, passing by a few Stealths, Tiger Shifters and Freelancers but no Psychokinetic.
Three hours went by, and while he loathes to admit it, the boba tea in his grip was the only thing he found. One of the images he Saw was the waterfall in the airport, but Morgan circled the immediate area with no result. He even boards the train a couple of times just for good measure. So now he’s sipping on his drink on the floor above, a beautiful view in front of him. “Perhaps I should’ve inquired for help from the local Investigator.” Despite the investigation going nowhere, it gives Morgan a new perspective on life. One that made him appreciate how helpful his Sight is, even during mundane situations like tracking down a stranger.
But just as Morgan was about to call it a day, morosely chewing on tapioca pearls, something caught his attention from the corner of his eyes. A flare draws him in like a moth to a flame, and Morgan immediately leans precariously over the railing, eager eyes scanning the crowd below. Despite the beacon near the foot of the waterfall, Morgan struggles to see the face he’s looking for due to the overwhelming number of people. A couple is taking pictures of themselves in front of the waterfall, squeezing in between a tired janitor and a businessman talking on his phone is an artist drawing on a device, a group of teenagers are doing tricks, and a small family ushers their toddler towards the flowers. One of them has to be the Psychokinetic!
Morgan chucks his drink into a bin as he rushes back down, pushing through the crowd as politely as possible:
“Oi! Watch where you going!”
“Apasal mat salleh ni!?”
“ - cibai ah!”
Judging by the disgruntled shouts behind him, his attempts weren’t as subtle as he had hoped for. But as soon as he arrived at the Rain Vortex, the flare was no longer visible. The Psychokinetic had left.
Morgan scanned around. “You’re not getting away that easily.” He promises and immediately searches the area; his target can’t be far.
…Well, that’s what he thought nine hours ago, but now it’s getting late, and Morgan felt like he’s been led into a wild goose chase. Chasing after the Psychokinetic into various random shops and dessert restaurants just shy out of reach.
Now Morgan is beyond exhausted and hungry, trying to catch his breath on the bench. He’s back at the waterfall, but the crowd has lessened this time. The sound of rushing water and beautiful coloured lights around the greenery soothe his headache somewhat. It helps that Morgan finally had some peace and quiet after a long day. “Perhaps I underestimated myself,” Morgan sighs, rubbing his temple. “They’re more elusive than I thought. I need help after - ”
“Scoot over.”
A voice interrupts the Seer’s musing. Morgan’s jaw nearly drops onto the floor when he turns around and is greeted by the Aura he’s been chasing after the whole day. A maelstrom of untapped Magic cocoons the stranger in a protective embrace. Morgan is utterly bewildered while the Singaporean sigh. As if they’re the ones exhausted and not Morgan.
“Hello? Anybody home?”
“You’re…”
“Me? Look sir, can you please scoot over? I’ve been standing in a queue for 30 minutes, and my legs are killing me.”
Morgan blinked and turned his gaze to the stranger’s arm. They’re carrying a laptop with wacky stickers on it in one arm while the other is holding a white paper cup with a logo that’s partially hidden. When they tilt their head, their pale pink hair sway gently. So Morgan wordlessly slid to the side to vacant the left side of the bench.
“Thanks, man.”
The Seer couldn’t help but continue to stare as they fold the laptop open on their lap and popped a white-coloured mochi into their mouth. It must’ve tasted good because they hum in delight and begin to draw using their fingers. They also must’ve felt the weight of his stare because they stopped themselves and gestured the paper cup at him. “Want one?”
Morgan didn’t know whether to laugh or hide his embarrassed face behind his palms. He did neither, though. Instead, he gratefully accepts the offer and slowly chews on the dessert. Hmm. Delicious, indeed.
A comfortable silence sets between them. The tension that had been building up on Morgan’s shoulders vanishes just like that; who would’ve thought that the person he was desperately searching for came to him instead?
“Thank you for the dessert. My name is Morgan.”
“Huh. That’s a cool name. You can call me Ryn."
“Believe me when I say that it’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Ryn."

Random question and I might be mixing you up with someone else, but you did a lot of traveling around Asia recently right? What were your favorite places? Do you have any recommendations? Have a great day!
hi anon! sorry, i unintentionally sat on this for weeks. you're correct, it was me! i spent a year traveling around. more under the cut >
I visited Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, & Japan. It was wonderful. Most places we spent about a month, some we spent more like a week (Singapore, HK) and some we spent about 2 months (Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan).
It's so hard to pick favorites! Some of mine were:
Traveling around Java, the largest island in Indonesia, was a cool experience. This was last July, pretty soon after they opened post-covid, so there were not many Western tourists around, and it's interesting as a white person to be a very visible minority for once. Some of the highlights were Borobudur and Prambanan temples, which were incredible, and releasing baby turtles on a beach at a turtle sanctuary (which I'm now kind of skeptical about because I think it should have been at a different time of day for maximum turtle safety, but idk, too late now).
I also really loved Borneo. We spent most of our time on the Malaysian side, where we went scuba diving at Sipadan (amazing) and then stayed at the Kinabatangan River for a few days where we got to go wildlife spotting along the river and saw wild orangutans, which are super rare!!
Cambodia is a special place. Angkor Wat really lives up to the hype, visiting the different temple complexes in Siem Reap was one of my favorite things we did on the whole trip. It was also very heartbreaking and moving to visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh and to hear from some of the guides we had about how their own families were impacted by the genocide, or how they themselves were impacted by some of the unexploded cluster bombs dropped by the US. It's humbling, how kindly Americans are treated in ALL of these countries that have suffered greatly as a result of our government's actions.
Luang Prabang in Laos is absolutely gorgeous. Best sunsets I've ever seen in my life. It's touristy, but a nice, relaxed kind of touristy. After that we went to see the Plain of Jars out in Phonsavan, and then went up into the mountains for an overnight wildlife spotting trip, and that was our most off-the-beaten-path part of the trip for sure. Cramming with 30 people into a 12-person van for 8 hours on windy unpaved roads while the lady next to you pukes into a plastic bag then throws it out the window...turns out there are still Experiences to be had in the world, lol.
The Philippines had IMO the most beautiful beaches, and the best scuba diving. Oh my god the diving!!! We saw thresher sharks, they are so fucking cool. I want to go back.
Hong Kong was my favorite big city we visited. The Mid-Levels escalators are so fun.
JAPAN. Holy shit. Everywhere we went was beautiful, everything we ate was beautiful, everything there is just beautiful? Some of my favorite food, too. Lodging is expensive-ish, but everything else really isn't. I don't think I'd want to live there but as a visitor, just incredible.
People were so, so, so nice, everywhere we went.
I could go on and on. If you're looking for specific advice on anything, feel free to ask! I hope you're having a great day too <3

While Singapore is known more for being a vibrant, modern city the country also has some incredible nature to offer. A little after gaining full independence from Malaysia, Singapore started expanding and making tremendous changes which came at the cost of the environment. Since then, the government has made a large effort to preserve and improve the areas of nature that still exist in Singapore as well as artificially incorporate plants into new and existing architectural structures to give the impression of a city in nature.

Here are some parks where you can find beautiful nature in Singapore:
1. Fort Canning Park is a historical park located in the heart of Singapore, walking distance from Boat and Clarke Quay as well as Marina Bay. The park is home to a variety of trees, plants, and unique wildlife, including a special rooster (Go Cocks!) and supposedly even monkeys (though I haven’t seen any). Additionally, the park is home to the newly built Fort Canning Heritage Center, which hosts a free museum of the parks and Singapore’s history and is a wonderful way for visitors to explore the country’s history. Particularly interesting for me was how recent some of the historical findings were and how much of a deeper history there may be to still discover. I have talked about this park before in this blog but wanted to showcase it again because I think it’s truly is such a beautiful place in the midst of downtown Singapore.
2. The Botanical Gardens is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Singapore's most popular tourist attractions. It is a sprawling green oasis that is home to over 10,000 species of plants and trees from all over the world. The park includes many themed areas, such as the National Orchid Garden, the Ginger Garden, and the Rainforest. The orchid gardens are the only portion of the park that you have to pay for but definitely bring your student ID to pay S$3 instead of S$15. The Rainforest is home to a few endangered species that only exist there such as the slender squirrel or a specific type of snail and many more. I have personally been to the Botanical Gardens for picnics, and walks, but there are also frequent outdoor concerts.

3. Sentosa Island is a tropical island paradise located just off the coast of Singapore. It is home to several (man made!) beaches, nature trails, and wildlife sanctuaries. Visitors can explore the island's many attractions, including the S.E.A. Aquarium, the Universal Studios theme park, and the Sentosa Nature Discovery. The island is also home to several luxury resorts and restaurants, making it the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway. I would definitely say Sentosa is more of a touristy location and you can tell that the nature is more so artificial there.

4. Gardens by the Bay is a stunning futuristic park that features some of the most innovative and sustainable architecture in the world. The park is home to over 500,000 plants from all over the world, including the iconic Supertrees, which are towering vertical gardens that are over 16 stories tall. There are also themed gardens, including the Flower Dome, the Cloud Forest, and the Sun Pavilion. I have personally been to the first two and preferred the Cloud Forest. They currently have an Avatar feature going on which adds a few interactive experiences to the exhibit such as seeing yourself as an Avatar, flying a mountain banshees and many more. The Supergrove Tree Garden is beautiful during the day but really becomes breathtaking during the evening when the trees are lit up. The Gardens by the Bay Symphony creates new music for light shows every month that are held every night at 19:45 and 20:45 and they are definitely a must see. To get the full experience, I recommend getting there early to find a spot under one of the trees to see the light show from below.
