someone in the smurfs tag was like "send me smurfs x reader requests" and i was GONNA, except... i realized that i already vividly had my own ideas so im posting my own ideas instead of sending anything in.

this is also not just "x reader" but also just generally how i think these characters would be in a relationship

this post is just clumsy i might do others later but only characters i feel like i'm an expert on already (read: brainy. maybe some grove girls.)

Clumsy Smurf x Reader

Easily flustered, most likely of the Smurfs to blush when kissed. He'd probably giggle when kissed, too.

Canonically used a pickup line on Smurfette once, so he might do that with you.

You'd better get used to Brainy Smurf thirdwheeling all your dates. Clumsy left a party to go get Brainy Smurf. Smurfette daydreamed about marrying Clumsy and Brainy Smurf was inexplicably there. These two are completely inseparable, and both of them are incapable of taking hints. This is a two-for-one deal.

Would probably give you heart-shaped rocks as a present.

Will completely miss any flirting you do, or any innuendos you say. He's oblivious.

Would probably call you things like "darlin'" or "sweet pea."

At least half of your kisses will be Clumsy accidentally headbutting you while attempting to kiss you.

Dating Clumsy would be quite the difficult ordeal, due to his clumsiness, obliviousness, and codependent relationship with Brainy. But one thing's for sure- you'll always know that he loves you. He's a very affectionate person.

(Just ignore all of the sarcastic and rude quips that Brainy will inevitably make about the two of you.)

(Brainy isn't jealous or anything, he's just an asshole.)

Some context expansions. I write explicit works and am angling for another Dom Eddie so that's a factor. And I don't do unhappy endings. I do morally ambiguous endings, but always happy for the boys.

Option 1. Rockstar Eddie falling for a completely oblivious Steve and trying to hide his fame to have a normal relationship because Steve has a celebrity vendetta. (Alternate Universe)

Option 2. Established Relationship Steddie dealing with the after effects of an overly affectionate, aggressive, and protective Kas Eddie. (In Universe)

Option 3. Married "ready to leave my wife for you" Steve cheating with "i can not handle that kind of pressure" Eddie, (In Universe)

Option 4. Adult siblings Robin and Eddie with single dad Eddie begging for a babysitter rec, which Robin gives in the form of her bestfriend that she's never let Eddie meet, on the one condition that you do NOT fuck her best friend. He does not follow this condition. (Alternate Universe)

Option 5. Pirate Eddie escorting cursed Prince Steve overseas for a possible cure to an unknown affliction, with explicit instructions to kill him if it doesn't work. And to ignore any singing you may here at night with him on board. And a whole other list of strange details. (Alternate Universe)

one of the last times i ever watched the smurf movie (the tv was on in the background and the smurfs happened to be playing) my brother walked in on the normal human part where there wasnt even any smurfs so it looked like a boring movie about some couple but then it cut to gargamel running around the streets of real life new york and my brother was Very confused

#i dont think i ever watched that thing in its entirety. or the sequel with the evil gray smurfs where they turn smurfette emo #for some reason i really really wanted to see it though. i cannot remember my thoughts on smurfs 1 maybe i watched at least 98%#but i was also really really excited for umm whichever the 2d smurfs movie/special was. i dont remember #i think kid brains are literally like OMG ITS THE THING IM FAMILIAR WITH!!! with little judgment until they actually see it #but also theres something wrong with me so maybe its a mostly me thing i barely judged sht #i was too old for the peabody and sherman movie thats why i got disappointed and became a hater. i miss peabody and sherman #the cartoon seemed fine i just really did not like the movie i cant tell you why now cuz i barely remember it
