Her kind, but firm nature. In a sea of Arcee, Chromia, and Windblade types, it’s nice to see a female character who’s there for her friends and comrades in a down-to-earth way without being portrayed as spineless. I love characters who accomplish extraordinary things and would burn down the world for those they love, but I also love characters who choose to be there for their friends in the everyday messiness of life.

As a continuation of this, I have a headcanon that, besides Rodimus and Ultra Magnus, Velocity was the crew member who was hit hardest by Megatron’s execution.

Before his death, Megatron absolutely made sure Velocity got a proper thank you for recognizing him as someone worth getting to know.

Hey have you ever gone into your process of how you did the fake Bugsnax screenshots? I've been trying to make fake screenshots for cel animated shows and I struggle because they always look a bit too clean. Thanks!

No, but once I've drawn the image (I generally flatten it at this point), I use this tutorial to get the screenshot effect! It is mostly designed for photoshop, but Krita has also worked decently and photopea might have similar features and filters. Before flattening everything, I usually also merge the lineart and colours for the character, duplicate it, change one of those layers to a grey, blur it, change the layer mode to multiply and put it beneath the normal character art at a low opacity to create a drop shadow.

I also changed up my style to make the screenshots feel extra convincing; I looked a lot at 2D Disney and Bluth films, and tried to emulate the traits they gave characters in my drawings. The canvas was also quite small, to help it feel more low quality before being edited. I think I used the Turnip Pen in Clip Studio, but more recently I've found the Real G-Pen gives a line that feels more like it was drawn traditionally (I also changed the brush's settings to make the minimum width about 10 percent, it makes it look more natural to me). I've found it quite difficult to find information about how backgrounds are painted, and I just painted them as I usually did for the Bugsnax screenshots but gouache seems to have been one of the most popular choices, and I think using brushes that imitate gouache could add a bit of extra texture and realism!
