So I could not quite tell if you meant ace x deuce or aceyuu/deuceyuu but since I am a Yuu focused blog (and you said "or... but not untill later") I am going to focus on x yuu.

I think the first potential time for them to touch Yuu is after beating the phantom at the end of the dwarf's mine. They're cheering, you're cheering, there's a half second where they scoop up Grim and swing him around and half reach for you but... hesitate. It's like everything stops for a moment before he shakes himself out of it. You're just Yuu, some magicless human he literally met today, why's he feeling so... strange about it???

I could see Ace knowing about soulbonds. His best subject is magic analysis/theory, he's far from unaware of theoretical concepts. But he's also Ace. The bratty kid who hates being seen as vulnerable, who thinks romantic things are uncool, whose way more comfortable being someone's friend than he is their boyfriend. He doesn't want a destined mate, he wants someone he can laugh with and likes being around... and he sort of hates how much you fit that description. So! Only solution he can think of is trying to bait you into making physical contact first, that way if anyone makes a big deal about this all consuming need to be close to each other it's you and not him.

Even though he's the one who proposes sharing a bed. It would have been your fault if you said yes! He's unprepared for what it feels like to get his wish, after Vil curses him to spend the night on the floor with Deuce and Grim he expects you to just abandon him to your room... but you creep back with blankets and pillows for your friends and hesitate when you go to give them to him. Slowly, so gently it makes a mockery of the searing undeniable realization that tears through him as you lay yourself next to him and lay your hand on his shoulder and rest.

While he lies there awake cursing Vil (he refuses to blame himself) for denying him the ability to hold onto you like he should.

Deuce is different, I don't think he would be aware of soulbonds nor does he seem to believe in soulmates. I don't think he's thought much of romance at all really, so he doesn't fully understand what he's experiencing or why he's so nervous to touch you. He wants to though. Badly. It's all he can think about sometimes, he's never had a friendship this close or intimate. He really treasures you and this closeness, he doesn't want to break it. While Deuce might not know what is driving this desire, he knows that if he touches you he will understand. And that scares him, what if he breaks you with touch? What if nothing good can come from this connection, what if he is unable to let you go? He really wants you to be able to see your home again... but the thought of losing you leaves him strangely listless. Like you would be taking a part of him with you...

I don't think he ever finds the correct word for it. Maybe sometime way in the future Malleus or a professor will make him aware, but somewhere in a dream he finds it; the understanding of just what this bond means. Physically, he is unconscious in a hospital bed after failing to dodge the shards of Ramshackle Dorm's ceiling, but mentally he is wrapped in the warm, heavy sensation of his love for you. When he wakes and you aren't there he almost tears himself in half looking, and when you come back he holds you so tightly you can feel the tension shaking through his body. The only thing that soothes him is your gentle touch on his back, rubbing soothing circles into his soul as he breathes the bond between you in.

Wilbur stood outside the small gas station in the middle of nowhere as he looked out into the vast desert. It was cloudy today, he took it upon himself to seek out shapes within the blue skyline, it was a good enough distraction for his current break he thought.

As he reached into his pant pocket to fish out a cig and lighter he felt something else, something flat and metal with dulled edges. Now, he already knew very well what this object was, he simply chose to ignore its existence whenever possible. He decided to humor it and pull it out to examine what state it'd been left in.

The gold coin was a bit scratched and lacked the shine it used to posses, but it was still distinctly recognizable. A Schlattcoin, the very first one ever produced, and it belonged to Wilbur.

He'd been so proud to own it, back when times were different and he was blinded by his adoration for the man that had created it, he shook his head at the thought. Now wasn't the time to reminisce, he came here to start anew, clean the slate, not remember him of all things.

Without thinking, he buffed the coin against his shirt and put it back in the pocket it came from, that's quite enough of that thank you.

A glance at his watch revealed that his break was nearly over, he hadn't even smoked like he'd intended God damnit, guess he'll just have to do so inside, not like there was anyone around to notice, let alone care.

Back to his post he goes, opening the door and feeling a sudden flash of cold go right through him, weird. Usually he'd chalk something like that up to the AC inside the store but that thing's been busted for many a decade. Best not to dwell, he supposed.

Wilbur decided to fill out his time by restocking all the various chocolate bars at the front counter, it was sort of relaxing once you got into the groove. He started thinking about what he was gonna have for dinner-

"Hey ya got any protein bars in there-"

The box that Wilbur was holding fell unceremoniously to the ground, scattering snickers and almond joys and MnM packets all over the linoleum floor.

"Damn, better pick those up before your manager or whatever sees."

Wilbur did not move. He didn't even look up. Because he already knew the voice that was speaking to him, he knew it all too well. But he also knew that it was impossible. Maybe if he ignored it it would go away"

"Are you deaf or somethin? I know being rebellious and shit's been your thing over the last few years but come on man."

Wilbur finally looked up.

"What are you doing here Schlatt."

It wasn't phrased like a question, more like a demand.

In front of him stood a spectre in the shape of someone he once knew, glowing blue and and fully translucent.

"Sure wish I knew, honest to God, but your guess is as good as mine, pal."

TGCF SOULBOUND AU

Based on elements from Soul Eater, Rouye and E-Ming are actually people who can turn into weapons to aid Xie Lian and Hua Cheng! Everything is the same, except Rouye and E-Ming accompany these two on their adventures (only becoming the weapons we know and love when in a fight or told otherwise!)

At their masters' commands, a bright light envelops them and they swiftly turn into their weapon forms, able to be used how the wielder sees fit. They're able to talk and communicate with one another through communication arrays.

Rouye is a free spirited youth who started travelling with Xie Lian after the unfortunate incidents that plagued Xianle. She often calls him "Shifu" or "His Highness" as a term of adoration and respect, though he much prefers being called Xie Lian. She's kindhearted, bubbly, and follows Xie Lian in his cultivation practices.

E-Ming was created as a weapon first and foremost by Hua Cheng. After gaining sentience, he found he could turn human of his own free will. Hua Cheng is hard on him, often hitting him and bullying him, much like an older brother. He's very thin, non-verbal, and doesn't like a lot of people. E-Ming is known for his outbursts and anger, but he's since warmed up to Xie Lian and Rouye. Instead of talking, he'll mumble or make noises when addressing others.

Maybe now would be a good time to mention that Etho doesn’t technically join hermitcraft until after the start of Double Life… which means. Yeah dbhc Etho is still in reset-mode for the entirety of Double Life (this is about equally upsetting as it is genuinely hilarious)

(Despite being explicitly told not to force Etho to re-deviate by Xisuma and Doc, and after roughly a month of no luck, I’m sure you can imagine the impatience and desperation that went into Bdubs’ decision to sign Etho up for the next life series, considering the last one was the last time Bdubs really saw Etho. Or. As himself anyway.)

Hear me out! I saw this video and now I can think about anything else but Sea Captain Price on an expedition singing this song with his crew about either a siren or Or!! A captain of another ship called Shadow who is ruthless and all Powder. Who sea-men fear to name or call out in case she shows up and to wreak havoc. If she had some sort of magic it would be even better like a witch captain. That's the end of my rant. I hope you like my idea

I hope your talking care of yourself 💗 Thanks for rebloging my last post. I'm excited to write more about the witch and Rúns friendship. Though I feel like I'm being too mean to Rún by giving her such a painful childhood. She'll get through it though 💗.

My love I saw "witch" in the same sentence as Price and I blacked out. So I see this as an enemies to lovers, woman scorned, mutual pining/lost love situation. Where Price left our lovely witch reader after she fell for him, and well... hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

I think Price is a privateer of sorts, definitely under the queen's hand, but also some pirate vibes. The (witch)reader chases him down and becomes a sort of pirate themselves while trying to get their revenge. Price (doesn't) runs because he can't face the sin of his past, while the reader chases. They meet occasionally at ports and swear this will be when they take their revenge but... it's hard when your heart still aches for him.

Anyway here's the starter:

Your captain is a steadfast man. Your captain is a terrible man, a liar of a man who always tells you his truth with a smile. Your captain isn't really your captain at all, but oh how he is. He's yours the way the sea holds salt, and the moon pulls the tide. He's yours in a cataclysmic cosmic sense, your captain with eyes like the ocean.

Gold and jewels are nothing to you, you have those in spades. You've only had Price once, and you could never forget it. The feeling as you stared up at the sea, the dark waters in his eyes churning as he watched you fall apart under his careful hands, has never left you. Those eyes, they'd be better served among your other treasures than in that man's head. You couldn't bring yourself to kill Price, even with your hand on the knife you couldn't kill him, but you don't need to kill him.

You can take away the only things he cares about, his ship, his position, the sea herself, all by taking away one sense. And you can do it too. You can do it.

You can.

You stare Price down and feel your heart clench, his eyes boring holes into yours. He slips through your fingers like sand, turns from your gaze to board his ship like he didn't see you at all. You follow after him, push through the crowd towards the only other ship loading for a journey. The man at the bottom of the plank stops you, tries to stop you.

You press your hand against his face, drip your will into his mind, boil enough fog in his blood to grant yourself entry. Maybe too much fog the way his head falls against his chest, drool dripping from his lips. It doesn't matter, you're commandeering this ship. Price isn't getting away from you again, not while he still has your trophies in his head. You'll chase him to the ends of the earth for leaving you, through every port and across every ocean. You'll be the shadow in his step, the siren dragging him to the bottom of the ocean. He should have known better than to steal a witch's heart.

I’m not sure why Grian immediately attacked aside from it seemingly being his nature to be defensive and fight— but he stopped because he realized he shared pain right?

He might have a sneaking suspicion on what he's going through and how those games goes

His original plan was to escape by using his knowledge as an advantage and hunting down every player to the game before they can realise what's going on, before he can start to feel bad for them.

But then the soulbound, and also Grian recognises Scar, and has to stop. It's almost like the game markers knew what Grian might try to do to get out of the game, and implemented a mechanic that prevents that.

Hey, remember the soulmate au by tiyoin(?) I recently read your post abt idia and Leona reacting to yuu being their mates, but I wanna take it a step further since I saw idias line abt the family curse (this has yandere implications so if it's not your cup of tea please feel free to just ignore, nothing is outright mentioned tho)

What if yuu has a family curse similar to the aishi family in yandere simulator? (It's been years since I touched the game so if the lore changed I'm basing it off of 2018 ish lore, just with my own twist) basically yes, yuu CAN feel emotions, they're just muted and barely there. Given the right conditions (like falling in love or spending time with friends) and/or antidepressants they'll basically be like any other person, without them it's like a less severe version of the aishi women pre-falling in love

So, afab ppl born in yuus family, once falling in love, start losing their sanities and adopt yandere like behavior (stalking, increasing rage and jealousy, willingness to murder, etc) unfortunately this means they usually die young (20s or 30s) how quickly/young they die is based on their willpower (resisting the urges) and when/if they fall in love (so someone falling in love for the first time in their 40s and having insane willpower, caving in 20 years later in their 60s has more luck than a 16 year old falling in love and caving in almost immediately). Unfortunately everyone is a carrier, men carry the gene and can pass it to their daughters, but it only presents in the women/afab ppl, so transfems won't be affected but transmascs will.

What if yuu fell in love already (in their own world) and has just been doing a really REALLY good job at Resisting The Urges™️. Like, sometimes they slip up and cave in to anger or get ridiculously jealous, but they try their hardest to tamp down the feelings. Yuu has sworn off falling in love (again) and has given up their dream of having a big family bc of the curse, they're even distancing themselves from their object of affection in an attempt to "be normal again" at the cost of their own sanity.

So yuu gets transported to twst, and without their darling, they have the chance to be normal again, assuming they can get past the initial panic frenzy. Then the soul bond is revealed and they just go "nope. Not this shit again" and spouts cryptic messages about a family curse and swearing off love. I'm pretty sure most of the boys would feel a bit hurt by that lmao

This is mostly made for idia since his segment is what sparked the idea in the first place, but which characters from most to least likely do you think would try to pursue mc and figure out the truth to leave them alone and try to move on? I personally can't see someone like kalim giving up on both but I think the octatrio would try to look for the truth but be 50/50 on pursuing yuu or dropping them like a hot potato. Idia I think would try to relate to yuu and try to pursue them, but I think he'd probably be a bit put off once yuu starts dropping hints about the curse (he's a weeb so it won't take long for him and maybe Ortho to put 2+2 together and figure out the curse)

so. uh. I got this ask when I first woke up and 1) very happy to hear from you Rose, always lovely to get a new ask and 2) yandere? sim? has lore? I did not think people actually played the game? help. i've fallen and misplaced my life alert. As a rule I don't really write for a Yuu who is just x character from y game/anime (it is in my rules) so while I was at work realizing I might be old I was trying to think of a way to do this that wasn't just yan sim (I wanted something properly gn) and I think I've got something? I am currently beating away the desire to info dump on you about the myth of Sigurd and Brunhilde (i could scream about that for hours oh god oh please i have written an actual au for that but efkjbekjrgbjrthnytrh) So here is the basic idea:

Yuu ran afoul of a witch in their world and was appropriately cursed. Given the myth I was inspired by I don't think Yuu did anything bad, but they still made the witch mad so they got cursed to lose all reason should they ever fall in love.

"You will be thine own destruction!" Cackles the witch and Yuu, who is actually normal unlike trey this person takes a deep breath and resigns themselves to researching a way to minimize the effects and maybe break it? They don't know they thought magic was fake until they thought they were just doing a favor for someone but turns out they pissed off Baba fucking Yaga.

They start to isolate themselves since they notice the curse starting to eat at them when they are around anyone the love; they consider going back to the witch and asking for further clarification but they can't seem to find them anywhere so they take some deep breaths and do their best to just be normal.

When they end up in Twisted Wonderland, and start feeling... weird. And it only gets worse when Crowley speculates that they might have been brought to Twisted Wonderland because they posses a soulbond.

And Yuu immediately freaks out because they don't want to kill anyone.

Now as for your question for who would try to pursue Yuu vs just leave them... well I don't really like writing un reciprocated feelings so I hesitate to say any of the cast would drop Yuu. In my au it isn't possible for soulbonds to not be reciprocated, and they are already sort of seen as a curse by mages so this... complication might not be normal but it isn't unexpected if that makes sense. Which would probably make Yuu swearing off love hurt even worse.

Kalim wouldn't want to abandon Yuu. Not ever, no matter how much of a danger they could be to him. Hell, he's willing to forgive people who are trying to poison him on the off chance they might regret it. But he is the heir of House Al-Asim, and I could see his dad paying someone to take Yuu out to keep his son safe. Something Jamil sees coming from a mile away and has to just keep quiet about. Something I can see Jamil feeling bad about, he might not like Kalim but you didn't ask for anything that happened to you. And yet the Asim's took your life from you anyway.

Have to disagree about the octatrio just a bit. Floyd would be into this. And so would Jade. But especially Floyd, oh hee hee ha ha his soul mate wants to kill him? Say less he is on his way to get his ass eat beat with an engagement ring in hand. Both he and Jade would be a little disappointed when the curse is broken and you aren't actively trying to kill him anymore... maybe you could try and poison him huh? Like old times?

I wrote 20 paper pages of soulbond au stuff for Azul so I will try to be brief here but... I don't think this situation would be one that made him try to break the bond. He has... complicated feelings about soulbonds already. If anything I could see him thinking he deserves this.

Now Idia. He's complicated. Pre-overblot he has given up on the concept of breaking his own curse, and I could see him feeling the same way about yours. Ortho on the other hand... even before he gets his soul he wants to help. After the overblot I can see Idia pursuing Yuu determined to find the truth and save them. Not that he wouldn't interact with them before that, he's a bit nihilistic so I can see him just making a bunch of jokes about the situation or promising to let Yuu kill him "after this next round." Or just straight up asking them to when he has to hit pity in one of his gachas. It's just cringe enough that it snaps Yuu out of the curse fog for long enough for the two of them to be normal around each other. And by normal I mean incredibly awkward

A few questions about your 3rd Life Horse AU.

What happens to the horses after their player’s die, if anything? I like to think that the horses would just go back to their home base and live there until the last player dies, but we all know that The Watchers aren’t nearly that kind.

Does Scott SMajor not have a horse of his own, or did he give his horse to Jimmy to ride because he didn’t have a horse?

the thing with the horse au is that i havent actually put all that much thought into it except for 'what if they all had horses?' :'D but the way i imagine it, once the player permadies the horse gets left behind and either it returns to the wild or it gets taken in by a team member (the watchers dont really exist in this scenario cause i dont like them lol)

also scott and jimmy share a horse (and technically scar and grian do to, but of course they also have pizza). mostly just cause i do like the idea of some of the alliances sharing a horse, and with scott and jimmy it just felt right. but if i had given each of them a horse then jimmy would get the Haflinger and scott would probably have a Lusitano or something

There are two types of family soulbounds. Biological family and found family and some people only have one or both, it depends on the person’s situation in life and it can change due to that.

These family soulbounds are to help people be guided to the right people for them in their lives even if it isn’t obvious to the people straight away. 

A person’s own symbol is on their chest just below the neck.

The actual mapping of their family soulbounds is on their backs, in the centre but can be moved somewhere else on their backs if they wish to keep it private they can. 

If a soulbound family is changed it can cause great discomfort for people sometimes however this is dependent on how intuned they are with kwamiis. However it only changes depending on the circumstances of a person.

Features of a Soulbound:

Being able to tell if pact mates are in danger

Having a deeper connection to them

Pact symbols glow upon meeting

Being able to recognise a soulbound in your grouping instantly 

However this is counter acted if the soulbound is a miraculous user and is in the miraculous form, this is done to protect the user’s identity and protect their soulbounds from harm

SHORT STORY BELOW:

Creation, destruction are two fundamental things in the universe, both holding beauty in their own rights.

Yet as their group grew, as more and more kwamis joined them, their fascination in humans grew as well as they watched the evolution and rise of cities and nations of humankind.

Before the miraculous was created, the kwami of love, whose name was never discovered decided to play a more active role, behind the rests back, they created the family soulbound, for humans to find the right people in their lives as for that kwami platonic love is important as well and not all humans love romantically but a mysterious force wasn’t happy, a foreboding force had sealed the kwami away, and disappeared.

So the others to honour their missing friend helped improved the workings of this soulbound to what it is today.

It is believed the kwami of love disappeared against their will or the rare few will speculate they disappeared because they have too much love in their heart.
