Prayers and good thoughts for our friend’s grandson who was at the ER today and has a severe ear infection.

Our friend needs prayers.   I found out in February I have uterine cancer. I am having trouble to get all of my doctors approval to get the DNC and hysterectomy. The DNC is scheduled for June 19th. My Cardiologist in Texas would not approve the surgery. Because of the divorce I had/ have no place to live. My sister, God Bless her, has taken me in, in Indiana. The struggle I continuously have is my health. I have been hospitalized at least 8 times since January 10th. I black out and fall- and ended up with a broken back. They discovered cancer, and I continue to battle my water pills and my potassium levels. So please pray for my heart, and my kidneys. Please pray I can find new doctors here in Indiana. My doctors in Dallas will no longer help me. Pray I can get 3 years of Cobra insurance in the divorce. Please pray I don’t have cancer. And please pray God will show me why I am still alive. My 2 daughters have blocked me in every way, and have told my sister to take care of me when her husband is dying of heart failure. I pray I can save enough to pay attorneys, and my health needs. Thank you so very much for all the prayers. Losing a husband of 33 years and both my daughters all at the same time is a great trauma in my life right now. I pray they will come back to me. And please pray for my sister and mom who are taking care of me.

Our friend’s BIL can barely eat and is exhausted. He has to strengthen his heart muscles, so he can have heart surgery. They have not scheduled it and won’t until they are sure he will survive. He died on the table his last open heart surgery and was in a coma for 2 weeks, so he is understandably scared to have the surgery. Please pray for him and my sister.

I'd say, feel all of your feelings and if you need to let go, then do. As the queen of repressed emotions I can tell you that keeping it together is just not always the best solution. If your life/work/future are in imminent danger, then by all means focus on the task at hand and wait until you are home alone to eat your favorite snack while you breakdown. But if neither your life, work or future are at play, just fucking let go and make sure to enjoy the ride... one of us has to be able to do it, and since I cannot then it's gotta be you bud.

I mean, my grandpa is in Stage 4 heart failure and his kidneys are at 20% function. We don't know how much longer we have left with him, but whatever is left will be in and out of the hospital, which is where he is right now.

His only living child, my mother, is basically an agoraphobe who won't do anything to help anyone.

My grandmother has dementia and we (meaning me, my sister, my cousin and my dad) have to take care of her.

Earlier this year, I found out my dad has apparently been an alcoholic for years without me or my sister knowing. He went to in-patient rehab for a month and came back, started going to AA, and seemed to be doing okay. Then he got his knee-replacement surgery and everything started happening with my grandfather, but he (my dad) was stuck in the house with my mom and her bullshit so now he's slipping and drinking again.

All of this on top of a full-time job and trying to have some semblance of a normal life and happiness... I can't do it.

yes! that was me! i just said i use a big wide ceramic bowl for them 💃🏻 they honestly love it so much like i said they have been drinking SO much water since i switched to it. any bowl will do basically but i have a cute winnie the pooh one i found on chewy thats non skid for like 12 bucks if you just search winnie the pooh bowl idk. i tried to link it but it wouldnt work and i wipe it out just every other day or so easy peasy 🙂

i made that post partially cuz my boss’ cat who she loves so much has like stage 4 kidney failure and her vet said it was partially due to the water bowl she was using for her cats i didnt wanna scare anyone obv but it really freaked me out!! she was using one of those gravity bowls and it kind of made me look into cat fountains and gravity feeders and how much bacteria they harbor and it really skeeved me out like i said i dont wanna like fearmonger but ik people love their cats so much and want them to be healthy so i thought it was a good post to make !! idk also cuz i know people struggle with getting their cats to drink water and this worked for me my cats drink a lot of water now

Fuck global warming, it’s 52 in February in Michigan! All I needed this morning was my hoodie and it was fucking HOT in the hospital but I was cheeky and didn’t wear a bra today because of my oversized hoodie and man did I regret it, my big naturals need a bra lol I had my annual heart appointment this morning though so I would have had to take it off anyway so I said fuck it entirely. This morning was so stressful, my blood draw was really easy so very thankful for that but the hospital app was down this morning so we didn’t know where to go and the front desk sent us to the main hospital’s PET scan department when I apparently needed to be in the PET scan department in the cardiovascular center. So, I had to walk all over the various buildings to finally get to the right department and was a tad late but thankfully I was the only appointment so it wasn’t a big deal. For fucking once in my life they got the IV in the first try 😭 I almost cried, I’m such a hard stick it usually takes 4-5 attempts to start an IV on me. So, I was very thankful it went in so easily, it burned really badly though, or at least the medication did. They inject you with radioactive dye to make everything show up and then give you medication to simulate exercise all while you’re in an MRI machine to get imaging of the heart. It’s such a weird sensation, you go from half falling asleep to suddenly feeling like your sprinting in seconds, it’s not necessarily unpleasant but it is odd but like I mentioned earlier the medication burned quite a bit going in. The imaging was apparently sufficient even though the drug didn’t do its job as well as it was supposed to because they sent me home in a timely fashion. I got back home and took a very long nap and apparently the girl who wrapped my IV didn’t wrap it tight enough because the dresssing was soaked in blood when I took it off later. It’s bruised but not awfully. All in all things went better than they could have. Downside my labs aren’t good at all. My tacrolimus level is an 8 it’s supposed to be between 4-6, so that’s not good but reasonably easy to fix, they’ll just lower my dose again and repeat labs next week most likely. The really bad thing though is my liver is crazy out of whack again, which really blows. It might be as easily explained as my enzymes are spiked because I just got over the flu but last time it was this high is when I had CMV. I’ll get my results for the CMV test tomorrow. In more news no one cares about but I over share is my parathyroid is very high which is actually good because it finally explains my chronic fatigue and weird appetite lately. Hopefully they can get it under control and my energy levels will return and I might be able to do things again. In small good things my kidneys are stable, they’re stage 3b kidney failure but they’ve also been there for like 7 years so they’re not getting worse, dance party time.

TL:DR: I’m still dying slowly but instead of just my heart and kidneys doing the dirty work now my liver is back on board for murder too.

Hey everyone.

just a heads up that I’m still working on the rewrite. I was planning to work on it on my fall break, but unfortunately my cat has relapsed into stage 4 kidney failure and has an uti. There’s a chance he’ll get better. So until I know that he’s better I’m putting my work on pause. Thankfully this is fall break so I’ll get a pause on school work, but I need to know he’s going to be fine.

I’m so sorry this is taking so long. I’m so close to finishing this part. Please hang in there. Also pls keep my cat in your prayers and wishes…I’m really hoping he pulls through…he has too.

A very dear friend of mine is getting scanned for her cancer tomorrow. She is in stage 4, but stopped all her meds because they were poisoning her body causing pain, kidney failure and diabetes. Her tumor was shrinking but her body was shutting Down. Since she stopped the chemotherapy her body has healed and she is able to laugh and enjoy life. I pray that her test tomorrow will give her good news, with prayer anything is possible.

After over two months of back and forth to the vet for an allergy diagnosis, bloodwork was finally done Tuesday (per my insistence). All of her eating issues and fussiness are due to kidney failure. She was admitted Wednesday to Thursday for fluids, numbers aren’t coming down very fast, and other testing shows her in stage 3 or 4.

We had options of moving her to a facility further away for an additional day of fluids or bringing her home for doggie hospice and giving fluids at home. Since she is blind (has been since birth - we adopted her 18 months ago from a shelter, but she was a surrender with a full history and we confirmed with DNA testing) and she is fussy about eating (if she thinks we’re leaving the house, she stops eating or hides her food until we get back), we brought her home.

At least we have a why now, even though prognosis is not good. She did eat when she got home, tail is wagging, and per the staff at the ER, she tried to pick fights with the other dogs (rough tough cream puff this one is).

I’m mentally exhausted from this week, so if updates to stories are scarce and interactions distracted for a while, this is the why.

PS- she put herself in ‘doggie jail’. She has a dozen places she can sleep, but she likes her crate, and I think after the ordeals of this week, she wanted a quiet, safe place to be.
