It is officially BUG SEASON! in Chicagoland! @crevicedwelling , @onenicebugperday. I am delighted 🥰

I found a lovely Two-Spotted Stink Bug today!…

An adorable plume moth!…

… And this butterfly that I’d like a bit of help ID’ing. They’re doing courtship flights right now.

I love Bug Season 🐛🐜🐞 Some of my favorites are “stinkie bugs.” They are all named Jerri/Gerry.

I’m quite fond of scarlet and turquoise together, and Edessa rufomarginata displays them both in the form of a gorgeous stinkbug!

seen in Costa Rica, alongside an equally beautiful juvenile of the same species. they are quite common in this habitat but no less pretty for it!

Adult Giant shield bug/stink bug (Pycanum rubens) on the 5th floor in my school!

After that video it flew into the fence so I got it on my hand again and it flew away successfully! :D be free!!
