Huntr/x and Saja Boys Headcannons!!!

This was requested (Here's a summary) : I was wondering if you could do an open world fanfic? Where the saja boys are able to return to the human world since they wouldnt be demons no longer (the defeat of gwi nam). The fansign scene left me STARVING. LIKEEE mystery x zoey and baby being the wingman (nonchalantly ofc) romance x mira x abby (YOU CAN DECIDE WHO GETS WITH MIRA BTW NO WORRIES ❤️) and ofc our NUMBER ONE JINU X RUMI

No idea how long this was but here's my first head cannon thingy :D

The Aftermath

Jinu, the sweet little self-sacrificing boy just shows up one day in the label lobby like hi ☺️☺️ and everyone freezes in place.

Rumi blinks and leaves the room.

Baby, the maknae (youngest member), is like “I’m not crying you’re crying shut up bro.”

The boys don’t question it too hard because they’re just happy he’s back. And now they get to keep playing the hot idol boy group.

Not that they cared about their fans or anything…

(Spoiler: they love the idol life. They just pretend to be tired.)

Both Huntrix and Saja Boys are definitely under the same entertainment company now. Same building, Same dorm hall, Shared lounges and practice rooms.

This also means people keep taking other peoples stuff.

Mira wanted to eat the ramen she left on the counter only 3 minutes ago? Too bad, Romance took the cup and left a sticky note: “sorry pinkie. u snooze u starve - R”

The girls didn’t even know when the boys were signed.

“Wait, are you saying the weird tall guy who always takes my food is one of the Saja Boys??” Mira glances over at Bobby in confusion.

“We’ve been working above them this whole time!!??”

Rumi definitely avoided the whole label for WEEKS once she found out Jinu was alive again.

Abby saw her in the stairwell once when heading to dance practice and she legit LEAPT over the railing to avoid him seeing her.

There will be prank wars.

Rumi suggests it by accident one day, wanting to ensure that Gwi-Ma is sealed forever. “We should just move back into the dorms so we can spy on them.”

Zoey, seeing this as a way to have more fun, gets so hyped, "or we move in so we can BOTHER them!!"

Next thing you know, Huntrix is back in their old dorm and they’re not even subtle about their pranks.

Within the first week?

Baby’s toothbrush gets replaced with a glitter-coated pacifier.

Mystery wakes up to “Zoey was here ;P” written in red lipstick on his mirror. (He stares at it for a good five minutes before wiping it off.)

Jinu goes to work out one day in the company gym only to find that all the motivational posters have been replaced with an image of his head photoshopped onto a barbie doll....

The boys retaliate.

Romance reroutes the girls’ shower water to freezing cold.

Abby writes them a sweet apology note then leaves stink bombs under their couch cushions. (Mira is fuming, cause how DARE he mess with her couch???)

Baby? He would bake them cookies that taste amazing but are actually mild laxatives. He says “oopsie” but is smiling too hard.

Daily Interactions That Would Definitely Happen

Dance Practice:

Somehow both groups would be scheduled to use the practice room at the same time.

Zoey and Mystery would argue over who gets to use the bluetooth speaker first.

Rumi walking in, seeing Jinu sweaty from practice, walking OUT.

Abby quietly waits to stretch but then gets dragged into a Mira vs Romance (she's getting him back for stealing her ramen).

Company Lounge:

Baby would be snacking mid-meeting, sharing with some Zoey (his fellow rapper) and not offering Mystery anything just to start some trouble.

Rumi chooses to sit on the farthest end of the couch from Jinu but he moves closer anyway.

“Mind if I sit here?”

"Um- no! I don't know. Yo-you can do whateeeeeever you want... Heh"

Recording Studio:

Zoey overhears Mystery’s guide vocal and straight up complains. “Ugh. Why is he good at everything.”

He just smirks in the booth (he heard her). She’s blushing. He knows.

Abby helps Mira rehearse her lines in the hallway. Romance pops in with a “need help, pinkie?” and gets hit with her script binder.

Little Scenes

Baby constantly catching Zoey and Mystery coming up with lyrics together in one of the solo-practice rooms. He'd shake his head and walk by, “Not my business.”

(It becomes his business. He’s taking mental notes as to how to set them up.)

Late-night rooftop talks between Rumi and Jinu.

Both of them still haven’t completely come to terms with their demon (and half-demon) heritage.

She’s still so unsure about everything but he's incredibly devoted to her.

“Even when I disappeared I still remember how I felt about you. I mean, I literally gave you my soul” he lets out a small laugh

“Shut up before I cry, you idiot.” (she's already crying into his hoodie)

Romance tries to convince Abby to dye his hair a different colour so that only he matches with Mira.

The Fans

The fans believe the whole “Huntrix vs Saja Boys” rivalry was just a clever concept planned out since the Saja Boys debut.

“Whoa, two groups with an epic fantasy backstory??”

No one knows what actually happened.

They think Jinu’s re-appearance is just him coming back from a long hiatus after health complications.

Little do they know he literally reincarnated.

Fansign Events

Mystery x Zoey Moments (Constant Sarcasm)

A fan is literally spewing so many questions at them “Your concept is sooo realistic. How did you learn to hold swords like that?”

Zoey -> “Extensive training.”

Mystery -> “Yeah. In the mountains. With wolves.”

Zoey -> “That’s why you’re always barking at people huh?"

“I don’t bark at the fans-”

“There’s an hour long youtube compilation of you just-”

Anyways…

A fan brings Mystery a vampire plushie and he just stares at it.

“Do I… give off vampire?”

Zoey shrugs, “I mean, you got the pale skin, hidden eyes, sharp teeth for biting your fans. It’s a fair assumption.”

The fan squeals

Rumi x Jinu (Secret Soulmates)

A fan asks the two “Rumi, you’ve worked with Jinu before right?”

“You could say that.” she smiles while signing their album.

She really means “We literally fought a huge magical demon fire thing side-by-side and he sacrificed himself for me.”

Jinu signs an album with “I’ll protect you forever 😉” and winks at a fan.

Rumi gives him a NASTY side eye and playfully whispers at the fan “He’s not even that charming.”

She is beet red.

The fan is dying of laughter.

Most fans have a theory that they were cast as rivals in a music video storyline that never ended up being released.

Mira x Romance x Abby Triangle (Pink Trio)

I feel like fans would call them Pink Crayons or something like that cause they all have pink hair.

Fan: “What’s your favorite memory between both groups?”

Abby -> “When we survived our first tour.”

Romance -> “When we survived our first battle-”

Mira, while grinning at the fan, KICKS HIS SHIN UNDER THE TABLE

Romance -> “I MEANT fan battle. On Twitter. With hashtags. Obviously.”

Abby smiles so kindly at fans that they start calling him a “gentle giant.”

Baby Being a single wingman & Secret Keeper

Fans: “What’s it like sharing a company with Huntrix?”

“Loud. Dangerous. Very cursed. I mean—cozy.”

He’s so calm, seeing as he’s the only one who wasn’t being shipped.

He didn’t mind watching his other group members flirting all the time (maybe just a little bit…)

“You know Mystery sleeps like he’s guarding a portal to hell. Kidding. Unless…?”

The fans know he’s the comedic relief between both groups.

Zombie Apocalypse?

Fan: “What would you do in a zombie apocalypse?”

Zoey -> “Take Mira and Rumi and run.”

Mystery -> “I’d already have a plan.”

Abby -> “I’d distract the zombies with my gorgeous muscles.” Proceeds to flex.

Jinu -> “Obviously I’m saving my pets first,”

Rumi -> “Your pets? You still haven’t named them??”

Jinu -> “It takes timeeeeee”

Mira -> “Grabbing my couch, grabbing zoey and running.”

Rumi -> “What about me 🥺”

Mira -> “Jinu won’t let you die so i’m not that worried”

Baby -> “I am the apocalypse.”

Romance -> “What does that even mean–”

everything about the void state | vanilla explain's

A few things to note. First of all, Vanilla was a very knowledgeable and supportive master shifter on DRA (a shifting amino community). You can read some of their other posts and you'll understand they really know their stuff and have dedicated a lot of time to understand this. Second, after reading this post, you'll understand why the void state isn't "just a method."

hello and welcome to this post! i am currently fighting against all the misinformation about the void state in this community and of course i had to post a full guide about it! here you'll read what the void is, what it's not, why it's extremely cool and multiple guides how to enter it!

i. intro

in this post i talk about everything in context of the void state. i explain in deep detail what it actually is, clear up more misinformation, how to enter it in a lot of different ways, why the void is really nice and useful and in the end even have a q&a for everyone that got questions! you will notice how insane many misinformation are here. not just a few but full "guides" and "explanations" with it. please do not blame the creators for spreading them more! if you thought the same, you also could've been one of the people making posts about it.

ii. the void

let's start with the actual topic. to explain what the void is we have to know what exactly we are at first. so, what are we, what are you? you are an awareness. that means you are a tiny swabble-bubble thingy that experience the multiverse. right now you are on the physical plane so you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste. you can do a lot more things but the only important one is that you exist. you have no original appearance or identity (that's another topic) at this moment you are just you. you experience the 3d as y/n y/l/n. there are a few more things of course like your subcons and all that but it is not important for us now.

what is it?

we know that we are an awareness currently on the physical plane. we don't have an original identity we belong to as much as a reality. so what happens if we leave the 3d? is that even possible? yes, yes it is. that is the void state. the void means that you leave the physical plane. that is all. it is nothing special or unusual. the void state is the state of awareness. you, the tiny swabble-bubble thingy, exist there in your purest, most natural form. you could say the void is your home. when you aren't in a reality, you are in the void state. it's where you always return to and there is nothing more natural for you. you are just power, happiness, and peace there. nothing from the 3d can effect you anymore, your mind get's a whole reset. what does that mean? you have to know that you, the awareness, are not meant to doubt, have limited beliefs, worries, fears, trauma. it isn't natural or normal for you. you have them here on the 3d because they are physical circumstances. once you leave the physical plane, it of course means that they don't exist anymore. you enter it and BOOM they get completely erased. you won't even understand how you could believe such stuff after that. as you can see, the void is the state where you exist in your most "original" form, even if you don't have any identity or something like that.

what is it not

this is gonna be a long, long list. i'll actually make bullet points with everything i've ever heard here so you don't have to ask in the comments "someone said it is xy, is that true?". you can be very very sure that everything here in this list got 100% nothing at all to do with the void state. in the end i'll talk about the most drastic thing's but i also explained a lot already in my post about misconceptions.

- any other physical state at all⠀ ⁣⠀⁣⠀ ⁣⠀⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀⁣⠀ ⠀ ⁣as you can see, you guys came up with a lot of things! you may already understood, the void means leaving the physical plane, so its being a physical state is absolutely impossible. you do not notice it on the 3d. at all. it is just not possible. many, many ask me "why didn't i shift from the void" but tell me a few sentence later "and i only felt my body a little bit" and i sit there like "okay, i'll start from the very beginning".

so please guys, in the void you leave the physical plane. you have no body. you can't feel anything physical at all. when you "felt your body only a little bit" you weren't even near the void. once you entered it, the physical plane doesn't exist for you anymore. with these very important information we can just ignore 10 things from the list now because we know that they aren't true at all. last but not least "it is the god state". but what is the god state? there are two main definitions here 1. just another term for the void so it's totally okay to say it, but what many here mean is 2. the "god state" mindset. that's a bit tricky, the second meaning is just a mindset. it represents your natural state of mind where you are limitless and powerful. you have it immediately in the void BUT if you have it here on the 3d you are not automatically in the void. you are still on the physical plane. tiny but important difference.

why the void state

you may already thought "damn, that sounds cool" but do you know how cool it actually is? besides that you finally align with your natural state of mind, that the void is pure happiness, peace, and joy, that you can chill there as much as you want, you can also do everything you want!! whatever it is, there are no limits. so here a few things you may don't know you can do:

- change the past

- skip time

- change your whole appearance to your liking

- shift everywhere

- manifest to wake up every night in the void

- manifest the future

- erase things (f.e. racism etc)

- manifest to always shift instantly

- change everything about your life

- manifest to lucid dream every night⠀ ⁣

as you can see, a lot more than many people think of. and the coolest?? it is instantly, in the very moment you want it, 100% reality. in the void the 3d/4d time gap can not exist because you are ABOVE the 3d. in the void you and your subcons work completely together that means that you literally give the commands. what do you have to do for it? want it. you don't even need affirmations or anything. you just want it and it is reality, no other possible outcome. in the void you can not fail, never and with nothing. if you ever thought you were in the void but "didn't shift" this is your clear sign that you were definitely not in the void. you are pure power there, it is impossible for you to fail at anything.

what it "looks like"

a question many, many have! what do you see in the void? actually you see nothing. you have nothing to see, you have no eyes. that's something most people are afraid of, deep, endless black and nothingness. but that's not the whole answer. you can customize your void! you have something called a "mental image". it is a picture you have in your mind and that is what you see. you can change it to your liking, very common here are galaxies. you could compare it to very, very vivid visualization but you don't have to focus on it and it's completely natural. you see whatever you want to see in the void. if you don't want black nothingness, you won't have it. very simple. so please don't be scared!

iii. how to enter it

there are a lot of ways to enter the void! you can basically leave the 3d through everything you want but of course a few things are easier for the mainstream than others. just try what you like and don't think you have to enter it immediately. i always compare it to speaking a language after a long ass break. it's weird and maybe seems hard, but every day you get more confident and notice how easy it is. that's the exact same with the void. everything is progress because every single thing is one step closer to being comfortable.

the "before state"

a term you guys hear extremely often from me. i came up with it because this was also a misinformation. but wait, what is it?? the so called "before state." it describes the time where you, the awareness, get ready to leave the physical plane. it always happens and especially beginner can feel A LOT there. it is the state where you feel like spinning, floating, falling all at once with tingles, dizziness, and confrusion. some time ago people said that this is the void. it is not. that's, as you already know by now, something that happens before you enter the void. many feel it, some do not and that is completely okay. for most people that actually feel it this intense it get's less and less every time they try. like you get more and more used to the idea of the void state, you know? you mostly witness it when you try to enter it awake or through a physical state. if you think you can not stand it, that's okay, you got enough other ways!

awake

made for biginner and everyone else

-before doing anything, ask yourself what you wanna do there? do you wanna chill a bit, manifest something, shift? with the intention or affirmations? if you can answer that you're good to go

-maybe put your phone away really quick to just calm down a bit so you're not full of energy while trying. you could draw something instead?

-lay down in a position where you know that it won't distract you. nothing that hurts or is uncomfortable

-now it helps many (especially when it's your fist attemps) to have a vague "plan". do you wanna visualize? affirm? counting?

-if you wanna relax more you can take a few breaths at the beginning

-after that try to just don't care about your body. don't care about your breath (and DON'T focus on it!!), you can count or start visualizing/affirming till you reach a deep deep relaxed state

-now you'll probably start feeling A LOT. physically and mentally (i don't talk about the itchy-pain feeling, that's just you body). your body will feel like floating, spinning and falling at the same time, you'll be dizzy and "confused". that's okay and totally normal. just stand it, do not fight it*

-if you have trouble affirming while that happen just think about it, it doesn't have to be very specific

-after that you'll feel nothing, absolutely nothing

-then you'll leave the physical plane, you'll just know it because you feel inner peace and happiness and calm

*this is the before state and will most probably get less intense every time you try sleep

you can also enter it with a sleep method! a thing not many people know but that's why we are here, right? just go to bed, now you can do several things

- listen to subliminals

- affirm

- visualize

- have mental conversations about the void

- just set your intention

you can do all, you can do none, just one, whatever you want. it is like the intention for shifting just with the difference that you wanna leavsle the 3d and not change your physical environment. it is the method many people use when they have problems with the before state, don't wanna lay still or have no time for it. you can do it anytime, everywhere. if you focus right now on lucid dreaming? awesome, you can still intend. in fact, the intention is exactly equally progress as when you try it awake. so it's definitely not just a "lazy version"!

other ways

as said, you can leave the physical plane through everything but here are some of your favorites:

- lucid dreaming

you can do it already or practice it right now? awesome! maybe try to enter the void state throught it. once the dream is lucid start to say affirmations, visualize or intend. or whatever you feel called to do

- physical states

you can reach sats easily? the theta state? you meditate or are able to disconnect from your body?use it for the void state if you want. if you can enter one of these and it helps you to disconnect from the physical world, that is really great. do whatever you want to do or ate able to. the same recommended as always, visualization, affirmations, no matter what you like the most

- " is this even real?"

you know the moment when life feels kinda unreal?when you look at the physical world and genuinely question how this can be reality? these are great moments to affirm you are in the void! if it feels unreal, who could proof that you aren't in the void?

- subliminals

got no time or just don't wanna try? there are many good subliminals out there to enter the void state. personally i recommend solars one. just listening to subliminals can also bring you in the void. they send clear commands of what you want to your subconscious mind and it will just say "oh, wanna leave? okay got you sweetie!"

affirmations

- i am pure awareness

- i am pure consciousness

- i am in the void

- i am in the void state

- i leave the physical plane

- i leave the 3d

- i completely disconnect from the 3d

- i can not get influenced by anything physical

- i am just pure awareness

- i have my natural state of mind

- i have my natural power

- i am home

- the void is my home

- i am where i'm supposed to be

- i leave the physical plane behind me

- i leave my body behind me

- i am pure nothing

- i want to leave the physical plane

- i am comfortable with leaving the physical plane

- leaving the physical plane is natural for me

- i am used to leave the physical plane

- i am used to being the void

- the void is my natural place

𝐁𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐬

Pairing: Rafe x Reader

Warnings: swearing, boys being boys (suggestive talking) and Rafe casually (to him) hitting someone.

Rafe and the boys felt bored, they knew just the thing to cure that, you. So that’s exactly what the did. They spammed you with messages in their ‘the idiots and Y/n’ group chat. Then all parked their bikes on your driveway.

Rafe walked over and knocked your door. You swung it open, you shouted playfully “No!” You playfully shut the door in his face. You could hear them all laughing. You smiled and opened the door “yes yes, I’m coming I’m coming.” Kelce shouted “that’s what she said”. Earning a smack to the back of the head by Topper and a playful glare from Rafe.

Rafe looked back to you and smiled “hey, pretty girl, you got everything?” He leaned down and pecked your lips.

You smiled and nodded “yeah, got everything.” You head over to the garage and open it up. Revealing your Yamaha MT10. You pull your helmet on and get into the bike. You grew up with motorbikes, your father being a mechanic. Also a bike enthusiast. So you knew your stuff and saved your money well. Even if you’re a kook, you’re humble, not a spoilt brat. Like some….

You girl my head forward toward Rafe “put the radio thingy on, babe, please.” He chuckled as he walked over and put on your radio that connects to everyone else’s helmets. So you can all communicate.

You all started to leave the street you lived on, heading out for the day.

You all stop at a stop light. Putting your feet either side of the bike and onto the ground. You spoke “so why did you all drag me out of my comfy bed?” They all almost say in sync “bored.” You playfully roll your eyes “so I had to come?! Couldn’t have done anythinnggg else??” They all answer “yup.” You joke “hate you guys…”

They all laugh the Topper spoke “no you don’t, you love us really.” You shrug playfully “mmm don’t know, might change my mind…” Rafe playfully shoves you a little. Then the light turning green you all sped off. You asked “where are we even going?” Rafe replied “don’t know, didn’t really think that far ahead…”

You laugh “what?! What do you meeeaaann ‘didn’t think that far ahead’… sometimes I think I’m actually friends with a bunch of idiots…” Rafe playfully gasped “hey! I’m your boyfriend, correct that shit, right now!” You roll your eyes and correct yourself “I think that my boyfriend is an idiot, that better?” He nodded and laughed “yeah, babe, better…”

Topper suggested “we could head for some food? That new grill house is finally open…” you practically squeal into the radio. Causing the guys to groan, Kelce complained “could you not?!”

You laugh “sorry… I like food… can you blame me?” Topper replied “touché.”

Rafe said “yeah, let’s head there for some food, then we can think of something to do while we eat.”

You all rode through figure eight and headed towards the coast line where the food and other stores were.

You all parked your bikes up and headed down the street. Taking your helmets off as you enter the grill house. Rafe walked first. Already acting like he knew the place. A thing he always did especially at stake houses. A random thing he did but never really knew why.

Rafe asked to the waitress “could we get a table for four, please?” You smiled a little at his manners. Usually you’d have to smack him under the table or give him the ‘evils’ as he says when you shoot a quick glare at him.

The woman nodded and spoke “come right this way…” she guided you four over to a booth. You all sat in. You and Rafe on one side, Topper and Kelce in the other.

Rafe purposely leaned over to grab a menu. Making sure you got squished as he did. You knew he was playing around, since he’s done this since you two were kids. He also knew that a jab to uis ribs was coming. Which you did. Sticking your index finger out and jabbing him in the ribs. He laughed softly “what? I wasn’t doing anything…” you remarked “oh really?? So everyone you do that, you don’t do anything??” He smirked and nodded. You shake your head with a smile, unbelievable he was.

After you’ve all ate your food and paid, you once again head out towards your bikes.

Your eyes widen a little as you see some guy leaning against Rafe’s bike. And a girl taking photos of the guy. Topper muttered “oh shit…” you and Topper shear a glance before you hear Rafe “what the fuck??”

You all walk over, the guy looks over and spoke “hey dude, this your bike? It’s sick! I’ve always wanted a bike like this…” you could see Rafe’s eye twitch ever so slightly as he sees the guy adjust a few things in the bike. That’s two things that pissed Rafe off. One, a stranger getting all up in his personal belongings. And two, someone touching and adjusting things on his bike.

Rafe replied “yeah, man, that’s mine. You taking pics or sum?” He scratched his nose with his thumb. You place a hand on his shoulder blade. Rafe stepped away from your touch. Not actually kissed at you for touching him but he knew he had to take a step from you so whatever he did, you wouldn’t get caught up in it.

He walked over to the guy, “Topper, my friend here-” Rafe slung his arm around Topper “-he’ll take some photos for ya. He’s good at that shit, ain’t ya Top?” Topper nodded. Knowing where this was going. Having seen Sons of Anarchy, with Rafe.

Topper took the guys phone out of the chick’s hand. Taking a photo of the guy against Rafe’s bike. Topper spoke “that’s the before…” the guy’s eyebrow raised “before?”

That’s when Rafe’s fist connected with the guys nose. Hearing a small crunch coming from the guy’s face. You and Kelce wince at the noise. Rafe stepped back with a smirk “don’t ever fucking touch my bike… you’ll have worse next time, buddy…”

The guy held his now broken nose. Topper snapped another photo “there’s the after…” Topper then tossed the guys phone to him.

You walked over to Rafe and muttered “you really wanted to do that after watching that fucking show, hm?” Rafe smirked. Looking down to you, he mumbled “what? Can’t help it…” you joked “sometimes i actually think you wanna be Jax…”

He playfully rolled his eyes. Looking at the guy and his chick. Rafe shot him a warning glare once more.

You all got on your bikes and sped off. Your little biker gang being the knockoff ‘Sons of Anarchy’.

‘The Sons of Outer Banks.’

And turns out you guys did think of ideas on what to do for the rest of the day.

You wouldn't let him touch your phone though when he is in his big form. His claws will scratch up your screen and possibly damage your phone 💔

You stepped away for just a few minutes and he's already playing around with your phone like it was the toy train. You might have a few scratches on the phone (If you don't have a case on it) But you don't mind that right? On a PC, I can imagine him turning on the monitor and staring at the screen for hours.

Discord, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, etc. He knows nothing of em. Probably for the best you don't let him touch your account if you don't want him accidentally deleting it or posting one of the images from your album on your account (If you showed him how to post lol)

So uh- overall? He probably won't even use the device like how you want him to, he'll just play around with it and end up breaking it. But hey at least he learnt something new?

Hii 🥰 I love your art so so very much and it's inspired me to start drawing again after about a year and a half of nothing. I was wondering if you could do a quick explanation of how you draw creature heads? Even with skull references and stuff I'm having troubles particularly with the eyes / eye placement and cheek areas

hi thank you, i'm happy you've gotten drawing again. i try not to make fully drawn 'here's how i do x' tutorials anymore since realising that i would just be training people to replicate my mistakes and photos really are the best reference

however not many people know HOW to use photorefs so i will show you this thing i made for someone else who asked a similar question in my dms once. step 1 is to discard any hangups you might have about tracing. professionals trace. it's fine.

for an example of what i mean when i say drawn tutorials just teach you how to replicate mistakes: i got the knee visibly wrong in my drawing here lol. but for a guide you get the idea. you basically want to put on x-ray goggles when you're looking at photos. you want to be able to see through the animal and understand 1. the axial skeleton [skull, ribs, spine] first and 2. the appendicular skeleton [pelvis, limbs] secondarily. you want to understand it in a 3D space - see how in my traced sketch, I have blocked out the ribcage as a solid form using contour lines which describe a curve. i didn't draw every individual rib, there's no need. don't get bogged down in the weeds, this drawing should take like 5 minutes max

the reason we are tracing and not just closely referencing is because this saves us from also having to worry about getting angles & proportions right. we will worry about those later. for now we are gaining understanding of how a body is formed without the pressure of having to get it 'right'.

okay so you asked about heads in particular so we'll look at heads. in the thingy above you can see that i traced a kite shape onto the front of the cranium before filling in the snout.

it's a canine and not super interesting but i think they show really well what goes on with the frontal bones. the cheek bones form the two lateral points of a kite shape.

if you start your sketch at the kite shape you can turn it in space

what you are looking for is the kite. the kite is not flat. the kite is the front of the cranium minus the nose/snout etc, it is laid out over a curved surface. you will find the eyes along the horizontal line and the cheekbones tucked under the bottom faces of the kite. the snout/nose/etc emerges from the crosshairs in the middle and the cheekbones follow the outer edge of the kite, but not the jaw. this is how i construct all my faces, human or animal doesn't matter it's all this underneath. using it i can visualise the hidden parts of the face such as the obscured cheekbone

try to find as many different types of animal or human heads as possible and trace the kite onto them. then you will see

Yk what no one asked for? My art process.

At least when it comes to drawing transformers... I don't put a lot of my other stuff up here haha. This guide probably won’t help with drawing TFP stuff tho. I like sticking to my cubes.

Who knows. Maybe this can help someone. Or provide amusement cause I have no idea what I'm doing. Just thought l'd share some stuff lol. And an unpopular art opinion.

So yeah, my secrets. Which like.... my art isn’t incredibly impressive or anything but... you get the point.

If you ever really wanted to try out whatever my style is called, here’s your guide. Along with a tutorial on how I draw Sunstreaker, but it’s like 5 steps lol.

I apologize in advance for the sheer amount of yapping I’m about to do. I’m just trying to makes sense

This is the part where I share my tips and tricks yippee! Small disclaimer, I just kinda do half of this stuff as a go. There is no real order to this. I’m basically just explaining how my style works (despite how much my style varies tbh)

There’s a general build for the body that I’m pretty sure most people have figured out. The head, chest, torso, and weird hip thingy. Then the legs are broken into two main segments, the arms are broken into three, shoulder, upper arm, lower arm.

Here we go, unpopular art opinion rant.

When I make my base I usually work from the head down. Don’t be afraid to use the lasso tool to readjust the sizes of different components. If the head you started with has the right angle but is too small, lasso it and make it bigger. If ur doing traditional, sorry, you’re just gonna have to redraw it.

I’ll usually try and clean up overlapping lines, but I wanted yall to see the shapes before I did that.

Then we can start adding details. I look at other artist’s designs and the source material and pick out reoccurring traits that will help make the character easily identifiable.

I tend to add the most detail to the head simply because that’s what is commonly used to identify characters. Usually when designing my version of a character I allow myself to kinda make up details for this part.

But do feel free to add your own details to make sure people can tell it’s “your” design!

These are still very simple shapes and not detailed whatsoever. We are keeping it basic on purpose.

Very loose shapes, extremely vague idea. Just putting down the most identifiable parts that are important in building it, if that makes sense. I put down the bare minimum for this.

You really don't want to over complicate things. It makes it difficult for the viewer to figure out what's going on. A crowded design is distracting and unappealing. The simpler the better.

So now we have our sketch layer done. Because I'm impatient, it's line art time baby!

I end up just kind of feeling it out with line art. There will be some changes between the sketch and the line art. I’ll also use line weight to just general shading stuff sometimes. In this one it’s not very consistent but I was kinda losing motivation cause… adhd my beloved.

This is pretty self explanatory. Use your sketch to outline what you want, adding details as you go. I'll still leave my lines pretty loose and messy for most of these, just because it adds a bit more... character? Makes it feel more authentic? But feel free to clean it up as much as your little heart desires.

Smth im really passionate about is not overcomplicating the designs and crowding it. I know I already mentioned it once but… yeah.

While adding a bunch of detail can be cool, if not executed right, it can become overwhelming and difficult to understand visually. Keep it simple, you don't need to add every crease or seam. Just the important ones that can help a character stand out or fill in an awkward large space.

Usually after that l'll just put flat color down. Nothing fancy. I like to just do greyscale but you can go crazy. I'm not stopping you.

But adding a flat color under your line art helps pull together the sketch. It makes it easier for people to understand what is and isn't a character and makes it simpler to understand the character’s shape.

If I have several characters in one picture l'll usually make them separate colors to help make sure you can easily identify them as different people. I usually try to keep in mind the characters actual color when doing this. People with darker colors get a darker gray.

I’ll also try and give a different color to an object they are interacting with so it doesn’t get confused with the character themselves.

The entire reason I gave Sunstreaker a gun was to show this. I hate drawing guns.

These are also rarely perfect. As long as it's not extremely obvious that you're out of the lines, no one will notice. At least that’s been my experience.

I usually do this on separate layers

There's a lot of personalization when it comes to drawing and I don't know if I explained all of this very well. Ironically I don't really think much about how I'm doing it, I just... do it.

If you need any further explaining, I'll try my best to help. And if you made it this far ive got mad respect for you. I’m pretty sure I’m just rambling for half of this lol.

MAG 141 - Doomed Voyage

Luckily for Jon, the title didn’t refer to his voyage to save the world, but to the last voyage of Mikele Salesa. And, well, I felt a bit sad for him: he was tired of this job, he wanted to get out of the business of delivering supernatural stuff.

But then there was this… camera with a broken lens? And something/someone betrayed him and his crew and he died? I’m sure we will find out what happened in future statements.

Jon got all these info, because he Knew the guy on the ship worked with Salesa in the past and wanted to Know from him. And Basira, apparently, wants to Know too! Is she getting influenced by The Eye as well? I wouldn’t be surprised: she’s in the temple of The Eye and works closely to its avatars.

Wait… WHAT?!

Are you telling me that all the people who told Jon their stories kept reliving said story in their dreams and seeing Jon? And you tell me that now in season 4?!

Sheeesh, off to a great start.

MAG 142 - Scrutiny

A woman is getting harassed by someone in the Institute. And Martin immediately has an idea about who could be:

Wonderful, so now Jon goes around doing creepy avatar things, not disturbing and worrying at all.

But hey, that’s another excuse for me to point out the details of another avatar’s business plan:

Searching around someone with a supernatural story

Creepily staring at them until they speak

Collect their story

Thank them because you might be the servant of a horror god, but politeness is still a must

Congrats Jon, you’re officially part of the gang of avatars who make questionable business plans. Please, take a sit along The Web, master of questionable business plans.

This statement also confirms Basira’s words regarding Jon appearing in other people’s dreams. And that after talking about them, people are still haunted by the horrors they came in contact with.

We also get the wonderfully-not creepy-at-all image of a Jon who is “all eyes”. It screams “Watcher’s Crown” so. Much.

And it also explains some fanarts I saw years ago, of a guy covered in eyes.

Wonderful. Just wonderful.

MAG 143 - Heart of Darkness

I love that the tape recorder is a character. It’s always there (whether the other characters like it or not) and it knows when shit is about to go down, thus efficiently warning them. It’s a good guy… uhm… I mean, a good tape?

Thank god, Manuela Dominguez FINALLY gives us a clarification of what the heck happened with The Dark:

They were this close to completing their ritual. And it had some elements we already saw, like the human sacrifices, the feast and the chanting.

Manuela’s description of the world given by the Dark Sun is very fascinating: “A world of still and quiet darkness, where no heat touches and death cannot find you. You might wander beneath that empty sky of void forever and never see a light to guide your way.”. That’s such an interesting image! And it answers a doubt I had that, even in darkness, death can still find you. Apparently not: if a ritual is complete, I suppose the other Powers cannot interfere anymore? Is that why they never worked together?

Robert Montauk was tormented by The Dark cult. This explains the missing wife and it kinda explains the weird hearts-in-the-shed ritual thingy. It was bizarre, but at least it helped in keeping out the darkness.

Gertrude stopped the ritual, somehow. And not just by killing the people from Hither Green.

Speaking of that, that’s the second time Gertrude did something that “robbed” other Powers’ servants of something. The Desolation’s gang also lost something, when Gertrude went on Hill Top Road.

I mean, I know her plan is “throw shit in the ritual to stop it”, but maybe… who knows, maybe she also took something? Or made something incredibly specific? In both cases:

The avatar didn’t get any chance to do the ritual

The other servants started to argue and the group split

Could this be part of the dividi et impera strategy I theorized some posts ago? Not just to put Powers against each other, but servants too?

Also, we FINALLY get the confirmation regarding Maxwell Rayner: he’s dead. Now we can be sure he’s dead, he won’t pop out anymore, he’s dead dead. Thank god, this man was starting to become Schrödinger’s avatar: dead and not dead at the same time.

Okay, the Black Sun is still there. And looking at you can destroy you.

So, what’s Jon’s brilliant plan? To look at it.

I know, you expect me to say this is a stupid plan… but it actually makes sense. As I said in the previous post, The Eye’s power is to look at things, know and (metaphorically) shed light on them. And what happens when you shed light on something dark?

So yes, Jon’s plan was good and it worked great. He looked at it, he Knew it and destroyed it.

I also find it very relatable that, once Jon looked at this cosmic horrible thing, he found it beautiful.

Think about it: the universe is immensely dark and cold and it can kill us instantly and yet, we find it beautiful. The abyss of the sea is just as deadly and we can’t fight with the huge marine predators and yet, we still find the sea beautiful. The radiation is terrifying and can lead to a very painful death and yet, we are fascinated by it. Even goddamn black holes are one of the most terrifying things ever and we still consider them immensely beautiful.

That’s human’s nature: we are mesmerized by the danger and by things that has the potential to kill us, but still, we find beauty in them.

Helen is back! And she helped again! Helen, you’re officially a Good Gurl. Michael was a Good Boyo, you are a Good Gurl. I know you’re still part of the same sexless entity, but you need an affectionate nickname, so Good Gurl it is.

MAG 144 - Decrypted

A statement about number stations. From a guy who lives in the middle of nowhere, during a hot August - you know, that kind of hot that pushes everything down and drowns all sounds out.

I know this feeling, I pictured the statement too well in my mind… and yes, I immediately realized it was all about The Extinction.

Maybe it’s a bit too early, but I am incredibly fascinated by it. The setting of this statement was so simple and so effective, mostly made of heat, sun, long walks, music in the ears. And then, these ominous numbers, the pylon’s rusted corpse, that sense of dread. The rain, the destruction of the house and the annihilation of its inhabitants.

The characters are just a guy with a very old father. There’s nothing transcendental about them, just a guy dealing with an elderly person. It’s down to earth, it’s relatable. And it makes The Extinction stand out even more.

I really like this statement for the feelings, the sensations and the vivid images. There have been only a few statements that stuck with me in the past and I’ll gladly add this one to the list of my personal favourites.

So, right after making me happy with this statement, Mr. Sims decides to make me even more happy, with some bonding time between Martin and Peter:

The shade, Martin. The shade.

Martin trusts Peter regarding The Extinction. For now, at least.

But that’s enough, because his soon-to-be-new-father (unless he does something bad, which will lead to his death by my hands) is very happy and wants to give a gift to his favourite son:

Awww, he will pick someone to give some answers! Thank you, Peter, we need them.

Now I wonder: who will this new informer be? Robert Smirke? A revived Jonah Magnus? Elias, forced to do something in his life?

Poor Martin, always surrounded by shady bitches who want to keep their secrets for themselves.

Oh my gosh, he’s too precious. Now he’s even asking Martin’s advice on how to be a better boss (and person in general).

I still have very conflicted feelings about him, but when he does this kind of thing… he just melts my cold heart, okay? That’s wholesome.

MAG 145 - Infectious Doubts

Oookay, so we get more details regarding the Lightless Flame, Gertrude, Agnes and all that happened between them:

It turns out the weird magic circle in the woods mentioned in season 1 (that one with Gertrude’s photo and hair) was made by Gertrude to contrast the Lightless Flame

In turn, the circle helped The Web to tie her and Agnes together on a metaphysical level

That’s what forced the Fire gang to not attempt the ritual and wait, all while Agnes was “tied” to mortality - long enough to start to develop feelings for Mr. Barnabas

Arthur Nolan ended up losing his leadership position - and became the landlord of future Jane Prentiss

Well, that explains why Eugene talked about “a scar in reality” and interference of other Powers. And somehow, I’m correct: Gertrude threw a Power in the mix and that stopped the ritual.

Throwing shit in truly helps solve everything. Even if in this case, Gertrude accidentally threw herself via The Web. Still counts.

That aside, we don’t exactly know what the fuck did Gertrude do to Eugene. And Jon’s further research doesn’t really help: I mean, he found out Eugene left “a life-sized statue of himself, crafted from candle wax and sawdust, missing its head”? So… Gertrude turned him into a wax statue? How? And kept his head? For what, to expose it in her office? I think I’m missing something here.

Arthur’s words regarding the gods are very interesting too. It looks like Gertrude never truly talked to The Eye or questioned it. While feelings, wants and needs constantly washed over the Fire gang, without any further instruction rather than “just do it”.

Judging by what he said, we can assume some gods are more “collected” and less “emotional” compared to others. Maybe some gods are more needy and pushy, while others are more focused.

But assuming that, would mean the Powers are able to think. And Gertrude seems pretty sure they can't do it.

So… what’s the truth? Are these gods unable to think at all? Or are they just unable to understand the limits of human nature and the rules of our universe? Are there collected Powers and emotional Powers?

Only time will tell, I suppose.

Great, it looks like I asked myself more questions than Gertrude ever did. She never had “that stupid urge to try and understand and classify things that use logic and reality like weapons”, as Arthur said.

Could this be one of the reasons why she got killed, in the end? Was her voluntary attempt to not know that led her astray to The Eye? Or maybe she was just too practical and down-to-earth, to become the favorite avatar of a godly know-it-all?

MAG 146 - Threshold

Somehow, in this Babel of names, I remembered McKenzie. It was from MAG 27, so an eternity ago. And this time, we got the son, who played a years-long game of hide and seek with The Distortion: it even starred Micheal and Helen!

And when Jon went to the latter to get some explanations, all he got was “Well, that’s what we do when we have to eat”, which is… honestly, don’t know what else Jon expected. Maybe that she offered him a Snickers?

What I find very interesting is how Jon’s reply is not an indignant noise or some moral reprimand: he replies “yes”. Just yes.

It’s been so long, since Jon was a normal human being.

Still, he tries to find an explanation, to not let himself lose to the “avatar instinct” or whatever. He even asks himself if it’s The Web’s fault, because maybe they’re strong enough to control another avatar and make him do things he doesn’t want to, like eating.

His supposition is so unfounded, Helen literally laughs in his face.

I am sorry for Jon, but Helen is right. Jon was hungry, wanted to eat, didn't have any Snickers so he got someone. It wasn’t The Web. I know it makes weird business plans, but I doubt “Let’s force the avatar of The Eye to eat” is one of them.

However, this apparently nonsensical theory works for Jon’s colleagues, who kindly and peacefully treat him like a monster, call him a monster, shut him up and decide to investigate Hill Top Road because yes.

I hope Basira won’t get killed, in her attempt to be Gertrude 2.0 and the most practical person around.

Please, allow me to recap this hilarious, unnecessarily complicated plan The Web made:

Lure Jon on Hill Top Road.

Once Jon (and his gang) are in, lure them into the room where some stolen records are conveniently piled.

Leave a statement for Jon.

Give me a wonderful reminder of how funny Nikola was with her “Elias, can I call you Elias?”, by opening the statement with: “Free will is a funny old thing, isn’t it, Jon? Can I call you Jon?”.

Tell a story about your supposed childhood and how you left your home to find a woman with a wooden loom and threads into her skin and spiders weaving them.

MAG 148 - Extended Surveillance

Have I already said I love this man? His voice, the inflection, everything he says… he’s hilarious every time, even when he’s punched by an angry Basira.

So, Elias knew about Jon’s victims but, unlike his colleagues who blamed him for two entire MAGs, he doesn’t give a damn. Of course he doesn’t: giving a damn would mean doing something and we all know Elias loves doing nothing. My favorite lazy bastard <3

Ahahahahah, this man is incredible. Just like I gave stupid nicknames to everyone because they're funny, so he gives Basira a nickname just because he likes how it sounds.

Elias is truly the best character ever and I love him.

Oh, I missed him being a smug bastard. Elias, never change <3

What do you mean by “we still don’t really know what Elias actually is”? He’s the embodiment of The Eye. Or its favorite avatar. Same thing. I suppose?

Fine, I’m not sure either, but I thought it was obvious that he was extremely close to The Eye and had a special relationship with it. And maybe that’s why he can spend a lot of time without eating - unlike Jon. Because he has been an avatar for a long time. A… very long time, I suppose?

Okay, that’s actually interesting. If he’s an avatar, how long has he been an avatar? Before Gertrude became the Archivist? When he was still a stoner? Before that? Then why didn’t he become the Archivist? And why is he so good at controlling the “hunger instinct”? Does he have a hidden cabinet full of Snickers statements?

Greeeeeat, Jon is still pushed by this avatar hunger and cannot find a way to stop it. Maybe he could find a solution in some of Gertrude’s statements? I mean, if she was an avatar of The Eye too, maybe she also experienced the same hunger? And maybe she found a way to satiate it, without using innocents?

Or maybe she found out about Elias's secret stash of snacks and ate all of them, why not?

MAG 149 - Concrete Jungle

So, human trash human-shaped hunting humans in the jungle still counts as an expression of The Extinction? I suppose it makes sense. I find it just weird that it attacked Dr. Anastos: I thought The Extinction was more like The End, just wiping out everything and feeding on the survivors’ desperation.

But nope, instead some Stranger vibes. And maybe this makes sense too? If The Extinction is a new Power, it could be learning from the older ones how to express itself.

Oh no, a conversation between Martin and Georgie! As I imagined, he doesn’t like her the slightest and I’m pretty sure her being Jon’s ex is part of the reason why. But he also doesn’t really like how she judges the Archives and what they do from the outside, which is… well, understandable but also unfair.

I mean, she is right when she said the place is bad and they’re doing bad things. I said it since the beginning, when I still begged everyone to run away as fast as they could.

But it’s also unfair to condemn them all. Jon is doing questionable things, but he’s still fighting against them. Martin is working alongside an evil avatar, but he’s also trying his best to keep everyone safe.

Moral of the story: at least Martin didn’t unleash some evil Power after her, as I feared. On the contrary, it looks like The Lonely gave him the power of invisibility and being forgotten.

Wonderful. Just wonderful.

MAG 150 - Cul-de-Sac

If the previous statement was about The Extinction but with some Stranger vibes, this statement is about The Lonely, but with some Spiral vibes. Maybe it’s just due to the endless repetition of houses and roads and doors but still.

Oh, great. And here I thought Martin was going to be seduced by The Web because of his love for the spiders. I was wrong: The Lonely IS Martin. Trying not to be a burden? Like, you know, getting everything on your shoulder so you can deal with everything and the others will be safe? And why tell yourself “I’m fucked”, when you can tell “I am doing it for everyone”?

Martin isn’t going to become an avatar of The Lonely: he’s already The Lonely. He’s probably just going to join it back.

Melanie’s plan is… questionable. And I have no idea if it can actually work. If it does, good for her: at least her conscience will be clean.

That’s a very clever point: what if everything is all part of a plan? The Eye’s plan? What if learning more about the rituals, the Powers, the avatars, watching them and stopping them and talking to them, gathering all this heavy, supernatural, “dense” knowledge is exactly what The Eye needs to ascend?

What if Jon doesn’t know anything about The Watcher’s Crown, because he’s already doing the ritual without realizing it?

If that’s the truth, I’m going to explode.

In conclusion

I am terrified and hyped. Jon saved the world from the Black Sun and he saved the world from The Unknowing, but will he save the world from The Watcher’s Crown too? And what about The Extinction? And Martin? Will my boyo come back from the war or look at The Lonely in its non-existent eyes and tell it “Sup”?

There are too many stakes and only ten chapters left. And you all told me they are the most insane.

I’ll brace myself, so brace yourself as well: the next reaction post is probably going to be extremely long and delirious.

Well, longer and more delirious than usual.

CATS SANTIAGO 2024: My review and experience

On July 12th I saw CATS Santiago on opening night. And I had the best night of my life

I'm sorry for the very late thoughts, but life has been a bit hectic and I have a lot of stuff to say.

If you have any other questions please do send an ask about it because I'm very excited to talk about this production

Also excuse my grammar as english is very much not my first language

TLDR: I absolutely loved it. I cried tears of joy

The General Stuff:

The stage was very tiny. But they made up by using a staging and set very similar to the Warsaw one with big climbable structures so the cats had a lot of places to go

The costumes were changed from the press releases. If you've been following along the ride, then you'd probably seen more or less how the characters are supposed to look. Sadly not all of the changes were to my liking, but none of them I outright disliked.

Bomba and Tanto lose their long wavy hair. Bomba had a wig more similar to the classic cat shape, and Tanto just had a short bob-ish hair

Exótica changed her full white face make up for one that showed her natural skin tone and it was a much appreciated change. She looked beautiful.

Misto's wig also got changed from the classic shape to a sleek silhouette with two horn-ear thingies that were buns on his head

Also Vic lost her bangs and changed to some buns on her head

Jemima's wig also changed from being very short and spiky for a very fluffy and kinda cat shaped hair. I liked it!

Jellylorum made an appearance cuz sadly I didn't have her portrait and she had long straight hair and a knitted shawl which was adorable

Also another ensemble character played by Alexis Sepúlveda, whom I had no idea was in this musical. My guess is that he came along because Andrés Zará, the first Tugger, is leaving after the Santiago shows and won't be joining the tour.

Another important change is that a lot of the characters are plainly different, as it often happens with non replicas

First off, the Alonzo debacle. In this case, Alonso (With an s, as is more often written here in Chile) is a kitten that is following Munkustrap all the time. He is very much a "protector in training" kind of type. Very childish and moving a lot with the other kittens, even if he's supposed to be a second in command. Very similar to Plato in 98 or other replicas

Then it's Pouncival, that Fernando Vargas, who plays him, defined as "A cat in transition from childhood to adulthood. He admires and respects everyone who are his guides and protectors. Athletical and energetic". He is very often during the play in the forefront, and is the cat who is always on alert and besides Munkustrap too.

Coricopat also had a bit of a change in his usual place as the mysterious part of a duo, since he was very often close to Victoria and was who did most of the lifts with her. He would often "split" himself between Tantomille and Vicky, and honestly it was eyecatching everytime. They stole the stage.

Sadly is not customary to give playbills or similar to attendees, so I couldn't get any. However, I do have a very special memento that I'll share later.

Now, song for song, I will give my thoughts

THE OVERTURE:

There wasn't the usual yellow eyes nor cats coming from the audience. It was only the orchestra giving it their all and that's more than enough for me.

Needless to say, I was already crying when the overture started. It was starting to hit that I was watching CATS.

Everyone jumped when the starting chords hit and I didn't flinch because I am a bit used to it and was just awaiting for it to start. I was already into overdrive

JELLICLE SONGS FOR JELLICLE CATS:

First big difference is that it wasn't Demeter the one who appeared first, but Exótica! Not a major change, but one that I noticed

Needless to say, the second Munkustrap started singing I was bawling. My deepest apologies to the cast that only saw me cry that day oh my god.

The translation was a bit of a mix and I don't mean in quality, it was a literal mix of the spanish translation from 04 and the mexican translastion. I didn't notice at first, but after rewatching Madrid 04 for insanity reasons, some phrases that were not direct translations but artistic choices started to come up. It's honestly a shame, since the 2014 version did have an original translation done by Andrés Sáez, who also did this one. I don't really know why or how the process was made. But it didn't sound clunky nor unpleasant. Unless you're a bit insane like me and like to compare spanish versions of CATS for a hobby, you wouldn't even notice lol

Since moment one all the character's personalities were noticeable. And since I was on the first row, middle seat, I was always looking directly at Munkustrap at all times. This ended up being my favorite part of the show

Back to the song, the choreo was completely original with few traces of Gylliann Lynne's. Which is understandable because the stage was *far* smaller than the ones in the UK. Third world things! It stil worked amazingly well and all the actors had their time to shine.

There were a few audio troubles but nothing I cannot forgive for being opening night.

Also -Misto doing some conjuring turns ln the middle of dancing cats is gonna live in my mind rent free

NAMING OF CATS

For starters, it wasn't done in a "pyramid" position, but all the cats were around the stage doing their thing. Mostly crawling around and doing kitty motions.

Thank GOD it was all clear and I could understand everything lol

Good things, the Cats that were named actually gestured at their names being called. So, Alonso, Demeter, Bombalurina, Munkustrap, Coricopat and Jellylroum did a little paw thing when called or beamed with pride.

Munkustrap's voice was the one you could hear more clearly and it was very much hypnotic.

It has some choreo and some kitty acting and it was amazing.

They did end up in a "pyramid" which was hypnotizing and yes I teared up too because I'm pathetic like that

VICTORIA'S SOLO

What can I say? Rosario Muñoz hit it out of the park, she was absolutely gorgeous and did wonderfully. I could tell she was a bit nervous but again I was like. a couple meters away. She did amazing

It was Eduardo Yedro's choreo, which is more about equilibrium and stretching. I would've preferred the original but it was absolutely gorgeous nonetheless

INVITATION TO THE JELLICLE BALL

Misto entered and they danced a bit (Even with a lift!!!) and it was really cute 🥹. Afterwards Asparagus sang the invitation!! His voice was really nice

José Miguel Callejas' Munk can ruin me uh yeah

But on his performance? Absolutely perfect. One of my favorite parts. His voice was very soft and he looked so excited. If Gruber is your dad and Rebaldi is your cracked uncle, Callejas is like your older brother that knows what he's doing but go to you when you're in trouble and won't tell your parents.

Jesus, back to the Invitation. Victoria and Coricopat danced in the background and it was mesmerizing.

THE OLD GUMBIE CAT

Again, Munk's performance was lovely. He was very excited to be there for sure.

There wasn't a car in the set. Jenny entered being wheeled in by Alonso and Asparagus in a big speaker that was revealed to have Jenny inside. Her coat was lovelyyyyyy it was very fluffy and looked really soft

The Gumbie trio was angelical, truly. They did so good and they all danced and sang like they MEANT it. Piamaría Silva was such a highlight for me, her voice was the one I could hear more clearly and also the highest pitched one, and she had a giant smile all the time.

Alonso was very munch cuddly with Jenny, very much a spoiled kid lol

The cockroaches were adorable!!! They only had antennae but they were very much visible. And the choreo was super fun with the usual tap dancing but also some elements of "rondas" in there. Also Munk followed Jenny around trying to keep things in order and it was really cute.

Important!! During the dance they paired up for a second to dance and Munk paired with Jenny and it was ADORABLE

JENNY'S DRESS WAS LIKE A 20S FLAPPER I FELL IN LOVE 😭

And at the end Munk had to fan some air into Jenny until he got distracted with Tugger LMAO

RUM TUM TUGGER

Andrés Zará was absolutely amazing oh my god. He was the right amount of sexy and funny. He was very much sold on being a rockstar on stage with hip thrusting included! Not a surprise, since is his second time playing the curious cat, but always needed to praise him for his talent. Sadly he's only staying for the Santiago shows and not the rest of the tour.

All the kittens were absolutely adoring Tuger, both toms and queens. Munkustrap looked to be absolutely on board with his shenanigans, too! Everyone had a great time, seemingly, except Skimbleshanks and Asparagus lol. They ended up joining on the fun too from the back of the stage tho!.

Is very important for me to mention that he came on the stage with a giant baseball bat and hit a "home run" in the middle of the song lol. Fun addition of the original choreo!

Etcétera was absolutely on point too lol big props to Teresita Rojas for making herself noticeable (Even if for the first half of the first act she didn't have her blue jacket)

GRIZABELLA THE GLAMOUR CAT:

Well, first things first, absolute props to Carolina Soto for her interpretation of Griz. She was absolutely on point.

Onto acting stuff. Demeter got close to Griz as usual, but was taken away in a swift motion by her waist from Munkustrap. This lives in my mind rent free and will not let me sleep. Alonso actually attacked Griz point blank lol. And it was Exótica who did the dancing around Griz similar to Cassandra on 98. Victoria actually tried to touch her but backed down.

Back to vocal performances, I have to say I am in actual love with Andrea Rodriguez's Demeter. She sounded so pained to see Griz in that state. And also her pronunciation of english places was incredible oh my god, I did not expect that at all. Montserrat Bernal's Bombalurina has the sweetest most pretty voice ever, and it works surprinsing well for her interpretation of the character.

After Griz leaves, Bomba comforts Deme in a kinda "okay, let's breathe together" kind of way. It was really cute and also very much lovers coded I am in actual love

BUSTOPHER JONES THE CAT ABOUT TOWN

He entered from the audience, and it was so fun!!! I was smiling more than ever in my life. And not to talk about his vocals because they were absolutely breath taking

Pouncival and Misto were looking together very excited when Bustopher came and it was really cute. Alonso was at his feet dancing at it was so adorable

Munkustrao was nodding over Bustopher's choices in food so we can absolutely say he agrees lol.

They pantomimed a table and giving Bustopher food. And in the background Alonso and emima were laughing and stealing some bites until Munk caught them, it was so cute!!

MUNGOJERRIE AND RUMPLETEAZER

Jerrie and Teazer appeared with their little robber shirts and it was so adorable I swear they made amazing choices of character.

It was less acrobatic than normal, but way more mimed and acted. Every verse had some acting with it and they were super expressive. They also had some acrobatics tho!!! Especially when they said they were "acrobats and jugglers" Rumple got on Mungo's leg like cheerleaders. It's weird to explain lol

Also they characterized themselves as unemployed lazy asses which I think is very funny lmao

There was no double cartwheel, but there was an attempt!!

Also also, Isabella Burotto (Rumpleteazer) clarified in a short interview that they were playing them as siblings and it absolutely showed with the whole "pushing each other around without care for their well being" lmao

OLD DEUTERONOMY

Misto's line was cut here, as were all of his lines. I think this was a decision by the actor.

All the cats were stretching and cuddling together as usual. And Munkustrap in the middle did his singing very nicely :) When Tugger came on and praised his "numerous proginy", Munk was very mmuch like "aw shucks" and embarrased. It was adorable and very much a win for Deuteronomy brothers enjoyers

Deuteronomy entered and everyone went to hug him :)) it was really cute and aalso I got some tears out lol

Roberto Díaz absolutely had all the vibes of a leader btw. He was incredible from the first second. His voice was, oh my god. It filled the theatre.

THE JELLICLE BALL

Once again we get very excited Munk, which is always a treat. But when Macavity gets called he inmediately goes into aggro form and yes I want him to make me worse.

They used the revival verse about Macabity, which I actually enjoy alot. The protectors here were Munkustrap, Asparagus and Pouncival and it showed with how they got.

Victoria and Jemima were adorable together and I love them

Alonso sang his lines, less in the proud tone of 09, more in a playing way. Pouncival actually took his side besides Munk to say "Jellicle cats never grow" in place of "Jellicle cats develop slowly", which again, did that not happen in Warsaw with Alonzo? Lol if it wasn't that, it was the exact same positioning as their line. Tugger made fun of Pounce and called him a little thing. Bit funny lol

The ball was absolutely hypnotic. There was a bit of influence from the revival that i can see, with breaking into groups. Also- again- a bit of Warsaw influence? I swear @per-the-jellicle-magician Warsaw pilled me because I see it everywhere lol. A lot of couple dances. It had little to nothingsimilar to the og choreo, which wasn't a surprise but it was actually really fun!!

Tugger stayed mostly in the back but everytime he came to the front of the stage he bowed to Old D and also swayed a lot lol- Again Coricopat, Tantomille and Victoria were a highlight for me, just because they did an aazing job at making themselves noticeable

Misto had his little solo, and it was just as mesmerizing as ever. Mugojerrie actually followed him and some other cats in the background too.

There wasn't a pas de deux, but a little round where all the acts lifted the firls, and then they all lifted Victoria up. She also had a litttle solo afterwards before they all went to "sleep" in separate places.

Pouncival as a protector was even more prominent during the little scare and honestly I'm living for it.

The ball later had a girls section and a little conjuring turn from Misto. Then it devolved into all the cats dancing and it was really pretty as usual. Again lots of lifts and circles, aI think to make use of the small stage

The last bit of the ball was again a bit of a round with everyone tgether that devolved into more "classic" cats choreo. And Coricopat did one more lift with Victoria that later also included Munk.

It was gorgeous and I REALLY enjoyed it

MEMORY

Munk Inmediately went into aggro with Griz and when Deme tried to hug her, stopped her very fast. Almost a bit mean about it. Again Alonso attacked, too

The twins approached with their heads down and most of the cats started to go to the background and turn their backs to Grizabella.

Okay, now real talk, Carolina Soto absolutely and utterly knocked it out of the fucking park. It was gorgeous and this is my new favourite Memory.

Everyone stayed while she sang, just turning their backs to her. Very much a "if I don't look she doesn't exist" vibe. With Old D looking directly at her.

At the last moment Munk actually did face her, while leaving like most of the cast. With Old D trying to touch her but failing exactly like in 98

MOMENTS OF HAPPINESS

Have I already praised Roberto Díaz as Old D? Cuz I'd like to do it again. Old D actors don't get enough praise and oh my god I adore him. Also praising ahead for Antonia Ascui (Jemima) because she was angelical.

Everyone was very attentive to what Old d was singing, and the light was shining to Jem since she started. She actually started crawling around the first verse and by "Generations" she was front and center. I actually liked that little detail! Her singing didn't come from the psychic twins, tho, weirdly enough. But it had the exact same effect. And she was gorgeous while doing it

It was actually Misto who took her out of the "trance" by starting to play with her! Which, again, was so adorable. Misto is much more of a kitten

Also Old D helping Gus come in is the cutest tihng ever, especially since Munkustrap inmediately took in. Something something like father, like son. Munk was the most invested in Jelly's singing for sure.

Jenny was crawling to Gus, which also was so adorable. Asparagus was on the background standing too and again, so cute.

Have I praised Piamaría Silva (Jellylorum) yet? Because she was such a highlight for me. She was so sweet and now my favourite Jellylorum. She was so into it too. Some true loving.

As a little detail, when Jelly mentioned he got "7 standing ovations", everyone did a little bow, which again, really cute!!!

Everyone got closer for Gus' verse, and they were so into it. Especially Munk and Exótica. POunce took the time to fool around with Cassandra and Femeter which was again, so cute. And they all followed Gus' gaze when he mentioned being "Up in Juliet's balcony with Romeo" and Fireforfiddle.

When Jelly came back on Pounce and Cassandra swayed with the rythm and once again, cute! Munk agreed silently on the background when he talked about kittens, too. The whole number was really cute

Also massive prpos to Andrés Sáez, who was Bustopher and Gus. And also made the wigs for the production!

PEKES AND POLLICLES

Yeah, it was revival pekes. Which I have thoughts about, but that's for the revival.

In this case, once again, really cute! MASSIVE props to Andrés Sáez for sounding both old and young at the same time, somehow.

The whole vibe of Munk and Gus was "Student who is absolutely PUMPED of acting with his prof" and it was, once again, adorable

Also, the lyrics were not racist! Hooray!

Munk did the orchestra director silence thing of closing his hand while shushing the crowd. Which was visible practically only to the first row, but is such a tiny detail that I think Munk absolutely does lol He's such a theatre kid and this younger, enthusiastic Munk is usually not my brand but one I definetly welcome.

Also I was next to people who had never seen Cats, apparently! Cuz they were laughing a lot and very surprised by everything. They were friends of José Callejas (Munkustrap) and their laughs and gasps were very fun for me, as someone who has seen the musical one too many times.

It's still so weird to hear Growltiger's song with Pekes lyrics lol. But it was absolutely well executed and well done. I'm just a bit insane

SKIMBLESHANKS THE RAILWAY CAT

Fun fact, this is my favourite number of the original Cats! So I was so pumped when Rumple ran to Old D as the song started

I haven't praised enough the absolutely gorgeous lighting, and I absolutely should because they were working with few lights and it looked absolutely beautiful, btw.

The song started with everyone looking around with the music rythm, it was adorable. They also mimed some and started looking for Skimble which, ADORABLE

Everyone made room for Skimble (Daniel Donoso) to come in a line , and it was SO cute. This whole number was adoring Skimble times. His voice was very much an uncle voice and it was adorable. He did amazingly!!!

Also the train motions in the dance??? Adorable. The whole choreo was so cute.

At some point Jerrie and Teazer started miming to rob Misto and Skimble took them both by their shirts and got them out the "train" lol.

As another little bit, Tugger was dancing and JAMMING all the times

They also pantomimed the waving passengers on the train, the bed, and some other stuff Skimble said. There was way more miming that anything else.

OH important bit, Skimble had a pocket watch he was constantly looking at. Another Warsaw parallel! D. did they watch Warsaw? It seems so

Then they did the train omg I was so happy!!! It was mimed with frames for the windows and Munk and Tugger were fighting to drive it.

Skimble was so happy and honored at the end of his song, like he felt truly appreciated and I was visibly shaking.

MACAVITY THE MYSTERY CAT

For starters, it was aggro Munk protecting Old D again, but with the whole tribe behind who were slowly getting out. Last minute hooded figures got to Old D WAY more violent than usually lol

Also Mac was Coricopat with a red vest and a slightly different wig. Uh. Yeah, it was a bit shitty

NOW to the important stuff

I want to personally kiss Demeter on the lips uh yeah Also Bomba and her were quite handsy with each other. Like- a lesbian amount. And so good for them, Santiago said lesbian rights.

I have already praised them, but their interpretations were absolutely perfect.

Oh!! Also all the girlies were dancing on the background since the start, and then Jerrie, Asparagus and Alonso joined too

The whole tone of the song was very mocking and more like "get a load of this guy" kinda stuff. I loved it. I was in absolute love. And Bomba and Deme were having the time of their LIVES like. Pure fun.

Also Jerrie came to his mention lol

The whole dancing was so fun and yeah extremely gay like I'm not exaggerating. They only needed to make out lmao

FIGHT WITH MACAVITY

Macavity entered and Demeter started to get anxious, so Alonso fucking ran to protect her and it was him who took the cloak out. Not my favorite interpretation, but sure

When it was time to fight, Mungo, Alonso and Misto tried and got YEETED. I am not kidding Misto literally flew in the air.

Then it was Munku time. They all circled them while they fought, hissing and showing claws. Once again it was way more mimed and acted, but also more acrobatic than usual. And it was Exótica who he tried to leave with, and she beat the shit out of him lmao.

I have. My issues. With the storytelling. But the fight was actually really really fun!! It's the part I usually skip, but this time I had a great one

MAGICAL MISTER MISTOFFELEES

Oh boy

First off. Tugger entered doing his monologue but with swag lmao. And the kittens absolutely fawned over him. Again, the voices were amazing! And everyone was miming and dancing with the first part of only Tugger

When Misto appeared he was the inmediate focus point! Jean Paul Bauer did an amazing entrance and the crowd loved it! Tugger inmediately started screaming in the background too lol

The solo was very different to the replica one. Less ballet heavy and, again, more miming. And the magic Misto had was more of the mind control variety, making all the cats around him dance to his liking! Even Munk, Tugger, Skimble and Jenny! (Again, did they watch Warsaw or smtn?)

And there was some being gay with Tugger too, as a treat

Of course Jean Paul Bauer was a star. And Andrés Zará knew how to make his voice go just as hard without ofuscating him.

When it was time for the trick everything went silent and Tugger did a bit of a small monologue. And also they were a bit gay too, as a treat. But the best part was that he made the public actually clap and told us to not laugh or move for the trick to work. The trick was made with a disappearing box instead of a cloth, and Tugger gave the biggest hug to Old D :')

Everyone then also hugged Old D and they all danced behind Misto, who then did more dancing with Tugger flexing his voice behind (And Skimble clapping!)

To finish the number, Misto also disappeared!

MEMORY (REPRISE)

Okay, serious time now guys!! Jemima did Daylight in the climbable part. And again, she was perfect for the role, absolutely angelical. The silence in the room was absolute just to hear her.

Munkustrap was SO excited. I loved him, if you couldn't tell

Then Griz shows up, and everyone makes way. Munkustrap stands there confronting her all through her song. It was actually an interesting choice I'm not against

Carolina Soto, oh my god, she was gorgeous and her voice was perfect. She had the tone and also the emotion completely perfect. When I thought she couldn't get better, she did. I rarely care for Memory, but this one was so gorgeous. The translation was more close to the spanish one than the mexican one, which is a shame specifically for me because I think the mexican one is superior

Back to this version. When Griz fell everyone made a half step ahead, as to try and help her. But no one did except, well...

Okay. This is my one big thing with this version. They changed the ending. Jemima comes and helps her up, by holding her hand while singing her verse. It was beautiful! But. it kind of. fucked up the foreshadowing they had done by spotlighting Victoria so much. And they also changed the lyrics a bit weirdly by saying "just leave me alone" which is- the contrary of the thing she supposedly wants. And afterwards everyone kind of stands around until Old D comes and touches her hand, which props to the rest of the tried gasping and starting to come forward. Like. Come on, guys. You were so close.

But anyways

Jenny actually grabs Griz and parades her around

JOURNEY TO THE HEAVYSIDE LAYER

She gets paraded around and everyone gives her a greeting (Tugger gives her a sassy greeting and Munk an apologetic one)

To my surprise, there was a plataform that went up and let her go on the heavyside layer. It was really nice. I didn't expect it, to be honest! And the "wow" from the audience really made me realize why Cats is as big as it is. Like, not to exagerate a bit, but there's a reason why musical theatre gets revived everytime Cats goes somehwere

ADDRESING OF CATS

The cats started on the ground looking at Old D, as usual. And slowly took their positions standing (I was still in front of Munk, and just to his right was Tugger! Fan favorite spot. To his left was Skimble and just behind him Jenny)

Roberto Díaz killed it. I was bawling. Full on bawlilng.

And they said my favorite line!! "First you must know that barking is not the same as meowing". I want it on a shirt lol

Every cat stood and showed their personality. As it's usual. Pretty part for the chorus. But I was bawling my eyes out. I couldn't believe I just saw the musical that had consumed my thoughts for years

Personal thoughts (that you can fully skip if you don't care)

I've said it multiple times. I never thought I would see Cats. I never thought I would see Cats in Chile, my country. I never thought I would see a good Cats. I thought that my experience was going to be a school play with just 3 songs, hald a cast and shitty costumes. But I got something so different. I got to see an amazing Cats non replica with unique costumes, absolutely amazing performers and so much love put into it. And not only that.

On July 12th, I saw Cats on opening night. I have been following this produciton since last year and making posts about it on instagram, because I wanted to. I was so excited and I needed to follow everyone and document everything. So I made an account to get all the chilean cats fans in one place and we could talk.

On opening night, I had a bunch of pictures printed because I wanted some of them signed, whichever I could get. Just to get a memento in case there was no playbill-esque thing. There wasn't. I asked José Callejas if this could be done on Instagram and he said yes, to ask the staff. When I did, the staff recognized me from my Instagram and told the cast.

The cast asked to meet me. So I went backstage. And they were all so excited to see me. They all wanted to thank me for bringing light to the production and being the biggest fan possible. They all hugged me and thanked me. Even thought I was just a guy who really fucking liked Cats the musical, and they just made my dream a reality. They signed my pictures, they told me I was awesome. I could just cry and keep hugging people and thanking them for everything, every single thing. I don't have enough words to describe how amazing it was.

I was going to post a cosplay photo today, but decided to do another of my tutorial type things instead👩‍🏫. This time it’s for the steampunk handgun I used in my recent Typhoid Mary shoot and also seen in a few of my earlier pics. I’ve found it super useful to have, as it suits a bunch of different characters. If you want to rustle one up yourself, you’ll need these ingredients…

1 x Nerf gun or similar – Choose your gun carefully, as it will dictate what your finished weapon looks like. I went for something small, but chunky, which I picked up cheap in a thrift store (💜 my bargains).

Sandpaper for prepping the gun.

1 x can of black spray paint (or possibly more depending on the size of your gun – tbh I regularly misjudge how much paint I’ll need for stuff and end up having to make extra trips to the craft store to stock up 🚶‍♀️😩

Silver acrylic paint and 🖌️🖌️ to give the gun a metallic look (or gold if you want to bling out).

Assorted fixtures for decorations – I used some gears left over from another project, a bit of an old speaker and some circuitry from a broken tablet, but loads of other stuff will work. Btw, if you haven’t tried it, it’s super therapeutic pulling bits out of an old tablet, especially if it’s one that used to crash on you a lot like mine😈😈😈

Plastic knob – Replacement for the cocking thingy at the back of the Nerf gun, as this totally gave away that it was a toy. My piece was stripped off a toy gun I used in another project, but you can use whatever’s available.

A piece of leather – Trim for the barrel to add to the steampunk vibe and (hopefully) make the gun look a bit more realistic.

Needle and thread 🪡 – Most of my projects involve sewing in some way, as it’s something I like doing. Here it was used for finishing the edges of the piece of leather.

Fixative spray – Used to try and ensure I don’t accidentally scratch off any paint when I’m using the gun in a typical display of klutziness 🥴

Normally when I do these tutorials, I start rambling on at this point about whatever bits of the project pop into my head, but this time, I’m totally going to be structured about it, so here’s a step-by-step guide…

Sand off any logos and stuff on your gun, as these always make them look toy like. If the gun you’ve chosen has any smooth surfaces, you might want to sand these as well, as the paint will go on better that way. Top tip here is not to use really rough sandpiper or you’ll end up with nasty scratches.

Strip off any fittings on the gun which don’t look realistic and replace if necessary. In my case, this included replacing the thing for getting the gun ready to fire (I’m sure there’s a technical term for this, but it beats me what it is). I screwed the new bit into the end of the mechanism, so it still works, which is pretty cool.

⛫💨 Spray the gun matt black to prime it, plus any of your fittings which need to match. Usually this has to be done in a couple of stages, as if you’re working on a table or something you won’t be able to turn anything over until it’s dry. Also, no matter how good a surface looks at the time, you often come back to find the paint hasn’t covered something properly 😠😠. Here’s another tip… go off and do something else between coats rather than waiting around for however many hours it takes the paint to dry 💡

🎨 Add the metallic distressed look with the arcylic paint. For this to work, you need to dust the paint on super lightly. I usually wipe my brush on a bit of paper each time I dip it in the paint to get rid of the excess.

Once the paint is dry, attach your fittings. The trick here is to try to make them look like they have some kind of purpose and aren’t just window-dressing. Glue is the easiest way to stick things on, but I use bolts and screws when possible 🪛🔧, as these are more secure and allow gears and stuff to spin around if you want them to. If you’re using leather like me (or any other material), you’ll probably want to sew in a folded overedge before attaching it to stop it fraying 🪡.

Touch up any damage you did to your paintwork when working on step 5. Maybe you’ll be luckier than me, but no matter how careful I am, there always seems to be some.

⛫💨 Spray on your fixative for protection. This should be done in steady lines with the can about 30 cms away from the gun. It’s best to do a few coats, sometimes working from side to side and sometimes from top to bottom, so you get good coverage. My tip for this stage is to shake the can well before use and do a quick test spray first to make sure the fixative is coming out evenly.

Pick up the finished gun and start rocking it /̵͇̿̿/’̿’̿ ̿ ̿̿ ̿̿ ̿̿💥

Swap au clownbo thingy for the clownbo/everyone people (I’ll do Seastar soon I promise) but it kinda has a twist to it @beebutadinosaur this is for you! (And everyone but also you!)

There’s more below the cut since there’s a lot here ehehehe

Establishing stuff right now for it:

Evbo (the Villain) takes the place of Clown but, to add some flavour to it, he was originally the Parkour Champion and was well loved by the people before he ended up getting betrayed and locked up in the lava prison by Seawatt. Void (EmF) ended up finding out what Seawatt did when he interrogated him on Evbo’s whereabouts and felt a overwhelming sense of revulsion at the realisation of what his lover (toxic Yaoi x2) did to his best friend, though Seawatt tries to justify his actions that he did it for them since now Void can be the champion instead of Evbo. Evbo eventually grew bitter and resentful from the betrayal by Seawatt, as well as seeing it as a betrayal from his people that he looked after, that he promised Void when he returns that he would destroy it and leave it all in ashes. He gets commonly refer to as ‘Hero’ by everyone and when it’s revealed that he used to be the old parkour champion that’s what everyone calls him except Void, even Seawatt forget Evbo’s name after so long.

Seawatt takes on the takes the place of the Evil Champion and pretty much has done his best to erase the Evbo’s name from the records of Parkour Civilisation and the Leather level from complete existence as well (similar to how the chain level was erased from everyone’s memory in Parkour Civilisation 2), utterly paranoid on the potential of Evbo escaping from there…he pretty much has a sock puppet Champion that wears decoy diamond boots (similar to his own in the end) that he uses to ensure that people are following his rules and to keep them in line from behind the scenes. Exceedingly paranoid, desperate and very dangerous to keep what he did underwraps…as well as missing Void a lot as well…still terrible at Parkour as well lmao

Void takes on the place of the old man (and Seawatt as well lol) where he’s trying to guide the Holt (the old man) and Clown (who kinda takes the place of both Evbo and EMF as well mostly EmF for Holt but he’s also Evbo’s role here) to find the Leather level and ferry back information to Evbo on what’s going on with them. Pretty much a tired, regretful man that desperately wants to make things right and help his friend with what happened to him since he doesn’t deserve it. He’s a mentor and guide to Holt and Clown and ensures that they are safe to the best of his abilities while leaving little breadcrumbs of a place that shouldn’t, but does, exist and the people from it…

Holt (the old man) mostly takes the place of Evbo and is the person that Void decides to use in order to get Evbo out of his prison with Clown being his longtime friend in the Chain Level. Pretty much a ace in parkour and exceedingly skilled at making jumps the more he got used to it in the end. Clown was his longtime neighbour before the other decided to move up in parkour and take on the challenge of climbing the tower while Holt decided to hold back onto it until a recent decree by the champion made him want to climb up the tower to face him.

Clown takes the place of EMF (and technically evbo as well UwU) but in the au holt and clown both hailed from the chain level before clown decided he wanted to rank up since he was tired of how little skill the parkour on the chain level took and wanted to prove himself moreso in the upper levels. That’s not the only reason to why he wants to rank up as well…he ended up finding a strange book that talked about the old parkour champion…something that he could barely read but the desire to know consuming him that he decided to track up to try and find out more about them.

That’s pretty much the roles that they all play here in this au for the time being…Evbo the hero turned villain that’s manipulating Clown and Holt in the background to get him out, Void who wants to help his friend out and then Seawatt who’s desperate for recognition but wants to hide himself from the light…then we have Holt who wants to do the right thing and help people…Clown who wants to prove himself to someone-anyone-and be seen by them.

I’ll be posting more on this at a later date but I shall leave you with some particular design quirks they would all have!

Evbo has a more kingly/princely look to him with a flowing green cloak, no headband (unfortunately) with his hair flowing (shoulder length hair for this one), green stripped shirt, black pants and diamond shoes (something that resembles sneakers in the end that contrasts his entire look). He’s kinda meant to contrast Clown’s look in PkCiv with him looking more like a Prince/king while clown is a jester.

Seawatt keeps the same design in all honesty except his diamond boots are meant are duller in colour (a big indicator that they’re fake diamond boots) and look like sandals with slight, pale green cracks in them. His hair is longer and messier as well with dark circles under his eyes…as well as gold ring on his finger.

Void has a dark purple wrapped over his shoulders, that goes below the knees, with a golden rope tied around the waist, a golden headband and golden ankle boots. His skin also looks a black vortex of stars and dying supernovas with a red spattering of stars around his neck and chest…a golden ring is on his finger as well.

Holt is pretty basic with a teal shirt, blue pants, dark brown hair and beard, silver arm band with a spidery design and diamond sandals (the ones that cover the back and front of the foot). He also has a red jumper wrapped around his waist with bits of black stripes on it.

Clown does wear his typical outfit with the addition of a dark teal jacket being worn, fingerless gloves, his hat is more softer looking (not pointed like devil horns but more like a rams horns kinda??) with silver bells on it, his mask is a plain white mask with eye slits and a black smile on it (a red heart under the right eye with a black diamond on the bottom left corner of the lip to resemble a beauty mark) and his diamond boots resemble laced up riding boots that goes below his knees.

Some simple things here but I please ask me questions if you want to know more!
