Women are constantly at the forefront of fighting for the betterment of all people. Women are leaders.
22 year old Alaa Salah is one of these women.
I’m inspired by the Sudanese women fighting for the end of the dictatorship in Sudan 🇸🇩

“Aiz Maka Falea Tuka” - four little Konkani words written on a church literally translates to, “Today Me Tomorrow You.” As individuals we can’t do much about what’s happening in Sudan, but we can make noise for people who’re being silenced.

Dear world,
I would like to take a little time out of your day, to ask for your help. My beloved home country Sudan in ruins. We have 30 years in a dictatorship. 30 years of poverty and inequality. 30 years of oppression and indignity. Now we've more than had enough. The last couple of months have been especially awful with our inflarion rate being 180%, the 3rd highest worldwide. What that means is people cannot afford basics like food and water. We're short on everything from bread to gas. To say that my people are sufdering would be an understatement.
So for the past 3 days we have been peacefully protesting. But there are people everywhere dying because they're trying to silence us. The armed forces amd using live ammunition on anyone in the street including kids. They're using tear gas. Going after people in their own homes. The death toll is rising by the day.
I'm here asking you to help spread the word. Use the hashtags #sudanrevolts and #مدن_السودان_تنتفض to help us spread the word. Get it trending on tumblr, twitter, Facebook, Instagram and any other platform ypu can think of. If you have a large following, use it.
I'm asking you please help us take our freedom back.

what’s happening in Sudan did not get world attention cause the mainstream media's tends to ignore happenings outside of the US and Western Europe and because they want Al Bashir Stay on top of power. Protests in Africa have increased by 40%. Often these resistance movements are overlooked and ignored, even by leftists in the 1st world. Although outside support is slim, this has not detoured African freedom fighters from publicly taking stances of solidarity with causes such as Black Lives Matter in Amerikkka, labor protests in Europe, and the calls for a Free Palestine, and many others. Activists from all over the continent, for decades have centered labor rights, dismantling white supremacy, internationalism, anti imperialism, women’s rights, LGBT+ rights, environmental racism, decolonization, reparations and asserting their rights for self determination. This list is to acknowledge a few of their political actions tied to a growing movement for global liberation. Today how many people outside Africa know or solidarity with what's Happening in Sudan ??? From 1 week ago People are being killed & arrested and tortured in jail. After they face of the continued attempts by the dictatorial regime to introduce and impose its bankrupt economic policies, based on the IMF instructions, the government is shutting down all communication so that the people could be violently suppressed. Sudan has been under a military "Islamic" regime for over 30 years and the recent hike in prices is only a fraction of multiple failures by the government that has led to an economically weak and socially divided country. The government has discriminated against people based on tribes and religion and has worked to benefit only a few select elite. It is also actively working to stop any news spreading outside of Sudan. Comrades outside Africa, let’s raise the profile of this a little bit. Let's spread the word, tweet and post to help our Sudanese brothers and sisters who Protests against 30 year old of dictatorship. #Sudan_revolts #Sudan_civil_disobedience #SudanUprising

Sudan My blood is in the river Nile Because I’m Black, I'm African, I am Muslim and So Unheard. The Nile flows into the sea which strides into everyone of us, sheathed by the sea yet we still can’t see? How do you cleanse with their cries/blood How do you sail the water when their bodies are mocking debris. Take 2 seconds, hear their screams. Thousands of screams so far away but they’re audible to me. 54 women raped, my family, my friends, my people. 723 injured, that’s all the faces I’ve recorded and forgotten, 500 killed, a number that grows by the dozen. To personify Sudan An animal farm could not glorify the scene A decaying mass grave of human dump With no regards to age or gender. A battle for an ounce of peace turned into a bloody masterpiece. Vigorously dictated and pieced by the new age Hitler. I’m a preacher, Not a predator or a predictor. But I certainly wouldn’t be wrong to voice that Omar is not a good omen. O man, how many more are getting tortured, de moralized & mentally broken just to drown in the salty constitution of their blood. Sudan Never asked for anything but to be heard. When it comes to Africa, things don’t move in a western momentum. The United Nations rooted out, Once a mistake, twice a decision. The world cares not as its not part of their norm, this brutal massacre that no eyed could vision. If it was Europe, the world load their guns with wealth and ammunition. If the world was black and white perhaps giving up wouldn’t be a decision. So Humans of the south, humans of the north, Humans of the west, humans of the east. Latino, black, Asian and Caucasian. Hear, waken well and spread the word of this horrific scene taking place at this present time. By RukkayyahIman Hey guys, thank you for reading, please help me spread more awareness by sharing. • • • #poetry #poet #nigeria #spokenword #rukkayyahiman #africa #abuja #lagos #writer #blackgirl #northernnigerianpoet #help #likeforlike #sudan #writingcommunity #creative #sudanrevolts #abujacreatives #sudanes #sudanmassacre #sudanuprising #sudani #blueforsudan #iamsudanrevolution #prayforsudan #kharthoum #iamsudanrevolution #sudanrevolts #sudanuprising (at Khartoum, Sudan) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bys2tOwlW-c/?igshid=fkmsof9fw50b

This my favourite video! Madeeh is a huge part of Sudanese culture which a lot of people don’t talk about. It comes from a Sufi background. Their singing about Prophet Muhammad (swt) his life, and how he was a blessing send to us. The most simplistic life style. This video always puts a smile on my face because it reminds me of the goodness of the people. The most hard working and pure hearted people are in Sudan. May Allah protect Sudan and it’s people.
