🧠 BLACKSITE SCROLLTRAP — “THE KAREN CHECKLIST: HOW TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF OR OTHERS”
🧍‍♀️ “How dare that man walk his dog through this area… …while I’m alone with my poodle?”
📋 “Does he not know that I’m here? That I am a woman — and therefore all surrounding oxygen belongs to me until I exit the perimeter?”
👮‍♀️ “Does he even live here? Has he signed the Constitution of My Feelings™? Has he shown me his papers?”
✨ Let me introduce myself:
I am the Karen. 🔹 Mayor of Nowhere. 🔹 Supervisor of Vapor. 🔹 Sentinel of Bullshit and Misery.
I wear fleece vests like armor. I wield my iPhone like Excalibur. I broadcast every stranger's behavior as a terrorist threat against my peace of mind.
And if you challenge me?
⚠️ I will cry. ⚠️ I will record. ⚠️ I will escalate.
I am the self-appointed security force of Whole Foods parking lots.
I stalk dog walkers like they’re casing the block for war crimes. I patrol public parks like I’m Auditor General of the Menace Vibes Division.
And yes — I do feel personally violated when a man has the audacity to:
🛑 Exist 🛑 Walk 🛑 Breathe 🛑 Without making direct eye contact and submitting a public apology for entering my line of sight
You don’t understand the weight I carry.
Every morning, I wake up and declare:
“I shall wander the Earth with a squint, and make strangers feel like trespassers in their own lives.”
And I do.
🧠 THE KAREN CHECKLIST™
Use this to identify yourself… or others.
☑️ Do you treat every strange man as a criminal until proven otherwise? ☑️ Do you give dirty looks to joggers who didn’t sign your emotional terms of service? ☑️ Do you demand identification from people walking their own dogs? ☑️ Do you call the HOA because someone’s landscaping isn’t “neat enough”? ☑️ Do you feel entitled to ask “Who are you visiting?” at random? ☑️ Do you film people of color and narrate like you're on National Geographic? ☑️ Do you weaponize safety concerns that mysteriously only activate when you feel irrelevant? ☑️ Do you say “I’m not racist, I’m just vigilant”? ☑️ Do you mistake public sidewalks for your personal runway? ☑️ Do you approach teenage boys at the skatepark with a clipboard and a threat? ☑️ Do you report smiles as aggression? ☑️ Do you weaponize your voice in frequencies reserved for smoke detectors and banshees? ☑️ Do you question others, but scream harassment when questioned in return?
If you checked 3 or more… You are the problem. If you checked 7 or more… You are the Karen. If you checked all… You are likely composing a Facebook post about this right now. And your hair is shaped like a passive-aggressive crescent moon.
Let’s be clear.
I’m not confused. I know what I am.
I’m not a victim. I’m a hall monitor cosplaying as neighborhood royalty.
I dance on the razor’s edge between concerned citizen and civil harassment.
I film people for “safety,” but disable comments on every post because the truth hurts. I smile at cops, then cry wolf to dispatch if a man wears a hoodie near a bench.
I wield anxiety as a badge, and call my comfort zone a jurisdiction.
Don’t ask me why I act like this.
I have no self-awareness. I have no inner monologue. Just a constant, low-grade suspicion that everyone but me is up to something.
I demand your backstory in public. I require your explanation. And if you refuse?
I’ll say:
“Wow. Just trying to be safe!”
As if my paranoia is your obligation. As if your location is a privilege I can revoke.
I am the Karen. I believe I am law.
📢 And don’t you dare question me.
Because if you do?
I will scream. I will cry. I will become the victim.

A very sweet letter from his stepfather

Saint-Cloud, 8 thermidor an XIII (27 juillet 1805).
---translation by google and me---
I am informed that you have corresponded with someone named D—. I don't know whether you know that this woman is nothing but a girl, an intriguer, who has often been utilized by the police. A woman of this type should not receive letters from you; this is the scum of Paris. I believe I must warn you, this will serve you as a rule.

funny thing about disability headcanons is they're usually not something you deliberately plan to write into a character's behavior, you just take a look at their circumstances and think seriously about how it would affect them and the ways they cope and soon enough you're like wait lang. there's a word for this.

you know how it is. you watch a few youtube videos and next thing you know you're trawling the four seasons site looking at luxury residence rentals and thinking i'd love for val to take vic to the maldives where she'll have the worst time of her life because 1) she's there with valentine, a creep who reeks of cigarettes and insists on ruining the vibes 24/7 and 2) she can't even go snorkeling with manta rays because of her STUPID ankle monitor. "i need a convoluted narrative to get off"-type post.

Why Aren’t We Using Counter-Drone Tech in NJ?
Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) Clusters of unidentified drones have been buzzing around New Jersey, raising eyebrows and concerns, especially near critical infrastructure. The U.S. has top-tier counter-drone systems—tech designed to track and neutralize UAVs—yet they aren’t being deployed here. Instead, officials are focused on monitoring and investigating, leaving the public wondering:…

i'm going to a queer school event tomorrow but i'm literally feeling so paranoid about it. what if my mom checks life360 while i'm there, then looks up which event is at that location, and puts the very obvious two and two together. if i put on airplane mode to freeze my location, what if she texts me and freaks out when i don't respond for a good few hours. what if a family friend somehow spots me there and passes the information along. i really wanna go and connect with other queer people here but holy SHIT the thought i could inadvertently out myself simply by taking my phone along is terrifying.
#friday chats#friday vs post-secondary school#see like the school was very nice to put all their events on one webpage for everyone to browse#but alas everyone means Everyone and not just students#why can't it just be like. bye mom and dad see you in a couple weeks when you come up for a football game#and then no contact until then#(i know it's bc they care about me. but Actually what they care about is the idea of me they have in their heads#and if they knew i'm queer they would be Oh So Disappointed In Me. spin their homophobia and betrayal into ''''concern'''' yknow)#i guess if i froze my location i could say i was sleeping in#but if anyone calls me at any point on airplane mode doesn't the phone go straight to voicemail??#suppose i could say my phone was shut off#but like. something something panopticon surveillance something. i feel like i have to look over my shoulder constantly#for the people i'm supposed to feel safest with#and it's fucked up! it's fucked up and i hate it#(also i mention her looking up the event bc she has used that website to show me things there is to do. i Know she knows it exists#and that she's looked at it. and she's obviously invested in whether her baby girl is alright or not.#first kid to go off to college problems 👍)#the last example is the most unlikely though. a friend of MY parents?? at a QUEER event??? unheard of.#but idk i'm still scared#so that's. fun.#fuck wait actually i don't know how to get there without gps#i'll look up the route beforehand and try to remember it. shit man.

Privacy is a fundamental human right
Privacy is widely considered a fundamental human right. It is recognized and protected by various international and regional human rights treaties and declarations, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Privacy is essential for individuals to exercise their autonomy, maintain personal dignity, and freely express themselves without fear of surveillance or intrusion.
Privacy encompasses the right to control one's personal information, the right to be free from unwarranted surveillance, and the right to privacy in one's home, communications, and personal activities. It also includes the right to protect sensitive personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
In an increasingly digital world, privacy concerns have become more prominent due to technological advancements and the vast amount of personal information being collected, stored, and shared. Protecting privacy in the digital age is crucial to safeguarding individuals' rights and preventing abuses of power.
Governments, organizations, and individuals have a responsibility to respect and uphold privacy rights. However, striking a balance between privacy and other societal interests, such as public safety or national security, can be a complex challenge that requires careful consideration and legal frameworks to ensure that privacy rights are not unjustifiably infringed upon.

ok on a serious note:
my place of work currently (a spa) has already been on camera surveillance (in the common areas) i have always had to make myself forget this for my own peace of mind. (could write essays on surveillance...)
i just learned reacently from my boss, that "soon" there will also be AUDIO surveillance. idk when soon is. i was immediately told to keep my mouth shut about it. if i tell anyone and it comes out theyll know its from me and my position WILL be in jeopardy. i want to let my right hand crew know. i feel everyone SHOULD know. i feel it is an invasion of trust and privacy. at front desk, when empty and no one is around, my crew comes to me to vent their concerns and frustrations. i dont want them to ever get reprimanded for letting off steam. how can i let them know without letting them know???? my partner is just as shocked and disgusted as i have felt upon learning this, and their advice was maybe start shutting it down by saying "not at the front desk" or just "not here" but i dont want to come off as insensitive either. idk. im def watching what i say myself. which makes me feel some type of way bc i can already feel my own well-being begin to unwind bc i truly believe it shouldnt be a worry to begin with for hourly pay. but here we are. alot of changes have happened over the last 6 months and i feel as though my team has been doing their best in navigating tons of changes amd still killing it. we are setting examples for the other locations. we all get shit done. i feel sick to my stomach thinking we will now be spied on by audio. i dont like it at all.

radiation protection officer for our local oncology institute was showing us their blood irradiation machine which essentially consists of a Very radioactive Cs-137 source encased in 2 tons of lead. and apparently there's a US gov program to finance replacement of these sources for x-ray ampoules. because they're scared organized crime will steal the cesium sources for terrorism. and i was just thinking of how the organized crime in portugal consists of shit like robbing a bunch of olive oil bottles from a food bank and then looking at the ridiculous amount of lead you'd have to cut through to get to the source and trying not to laugh

I think every computer user needs to read this because holy fucking shit this is fucking horrible.
So Windows has a new feature incoming called Recall where your computer will first, monitor everything you do with screenshots every couple of seconds and "process that" with an AI.
Hey, errrr, fuck no? This isn't merely because AI is really energy intensive to the point that it causes environmental damage. This is because it's basically surveilling what you are doing on your fucking desktop.
This AI is not going to be on your desktop, like all AI, it's going to be done on another server, "in the cloud" to be precise, so all those data and screenshot? They're going to go off to Microsoft. Microsoft are going to be monitoring what you do on your own computer.
Now of course Microsoft are going to be all "oooh, it's okay, we'll keep your data safe". They won't. Let me just remind you that evidence given over from Facebook has been used to prosecute a mother and daughter for an "illegal abortion", Microsoft will likely do the same.
And before someone goes "durrr, nuthin' to fear, nuthin to hide", let me remind you that you can be doing completely legal and righteous acts and still have the police on your arse. Are you an activist? Don't even need to be a hackivist, you can just be very vocal about something concerning and have the fucking police on your arse. They did this with environmental protesters in the UK. The culture war against transgender people looks likely to be heading in a direction wherein people looking for information on transgender people or help transitioning will be tracked down too. You have plenty to hide from the government, including your opinions and ideas.
Again, look into backing up your shit and switching to Linux Mint or Ubuntu to get away from Microsoft doing this shit.

The issue with people constantly invading my privacy is still ongoing, and it’s only getting worse. It’s like no matter how much I express my need for space and respect, it falls on deaf ears. My roommate has chosen to ignore the situation, continuing to play it off as if I’m the one who’s crazy. This is incredibly frustrating and damaging to my mental state.
On top of that, people have been banging on my window, trying to treat me like I’m the problem when I’m simply asking for respect and to be left alone. This is completely out of line and crossing boundaries in a way that I cannot tolerate. It’s escalating to the point where now I’m being provoked and threatened with physical violence. This whole situation is beyond crazy. It’s like no one cares to stop this ongoing issue, and I’m left feeling vulnerable and attacked in my own home.
I don’t know how much more of this I can handle. My anxiety is through the roof, and I’m starting to feel more and more unsafe. The lack of support and the continued disregard for my well-being is infuriating. I need an end to this, and I need it now.
